For the fic ask, can I request one you wanted to write and weren't asked? Klaine, please! ♥
oooooh boy, you really opened up the floodgates with this one. I decided to go super angsty because i just really needed to get this out there. this takes place around the time of “the quarterback” and i went with the prompt “things you didn’t say at all”
i hope you enjoy and sorry in advance for the heartbreak :’(
Pairing: Kurt Hummel/Blaine Anderson
Word Count: 1599
Rating: T
Prompt: 5 - things you didn’t say at all
Warning: mentions of canon character death as a main plot point (references to The Quarterback)
if you would like to request a prompt, you can do so here.
Fic can be read under the cut
Finn’s death was hard on Kurt.
Make no mistake, it was hard on everyone. After watching Santana break down in the middle of the choir room, Blaine was truly able to see just how much this was taking a toll on his friends. Grief was shared amongst everyone who knew Finn, and it made it difficult to even pretend to be okay.
But Kurt… Kurt was suffocating with it. Every moment since his arrival back in Ohio for the funeral had been filled with this poisonous cocktail of emotions.
Kurt didn’t discuss this situation, at least not directly. He more so just tiptoed around the issue, and his words were like a children’s game of telephone where the original words get completely altered and warped, but the overall message is understood.
Blaine watched Kurt as his fiancé tried on no less than twelve different outfits for the funeral. They ranged from black to gray to navy, and he even tried his hand at adding a bit of deep plum. He looked gorgeous in all of them. None of them were good enough for Finn's funeral.
“This isn’t right either,” Kurt said, already moving to undo his tie. It was a sleek thing with very subtle, barely there gold-stitched accents. “Too flashy.” It really, truly wasn’t, but Blaine wasn’t about to argue.
“Maybe do the black suit with the plum sweater? Just forgo the tie completely.” Blaine knew that the problem wasn’t a tie. But Kurt wasn’t talking about what the actual problem was. “I’ll match to you.”
Kurt gave himself a long, hard look in the mirror before him. Blaine didn’t think that he would respond at all. That was until he eventually sighed and turned back towards Blaine. “Let’s try it, then.”
And so it goes.
The funeral ended without incident. Kurt actually agreed to Blaine’s outfit suggestion, which only further proved to Blaine that Kurt was, definitively, not doing well. Because if he was, there would’ve been a bit more scrutiny on Blaine’s choice of textile combinations, as well as how it affected the overall silhouette. He looked great of course, but it was also clear that he wore it not because he was actually in love with the outfit, but because he needed to pick something and allowing Blaine to make the decision took some of the pressure off of him.
Kurt didn’t talk much during the service. He did stand up and give a brief speech, which Blaine was grateful for — even if it felt a bit like Kurt was saying only a fraction of what he wanted to say.
They sat in Kurt’s bedroom a day or two later. Burt and Carole weren’t home, having needed to take care of a few things. They offered for Kurt and Blaine to join them, but Kurt turned the offer down on both of their behalfs. This seemed to disappoint Burt, but Blaine wasn’t interested in going against the wishes of his clearly grief-stricken fiancé.
So they stayed home. And Kurt once again did not speak much.
Eventually though, dinner came around, and Blaine had to make an effort to at least get Kurt to eat something (he has always been on the smaller side, but ever since Kurt moved to New York, Blaine got the sense that he prioritized things like work and school over eating). He brought Kurt a bowl of pasta up to his room — it was left over from the reception catering; Blaine wasn’t exactly the cook in the relationship.
While Kurt accepted the food, he made no move to actually eat it. Instead, he wordlessly spun his fork around inside the bowl, picking up noodles only to let them slip back off the utensil uselessly. He repeated this motion for several minutes until Blaine finally stopped him.
“Not hungry, honey?” Blaine asked, dragging Kurt’s attention back to reality.
Kurt’s eyes flickered up to Blaine’s face for a moment before peering back down towards the pasta, which up to that point had been virtually untouched. “Oh, yeah, I guess not.”
“You really need to eat.” Kurt hadn’t hardly eaten anything since the reception, and even then he grazed more than actually ate. That wasn’t entirely his fault, though. It was hard for Kurt and his parents to get much time to eat when people kept approaching them to express their condolences directly. It was well-meaning each and every time, but Blaine could see that it was taking a lot for Kurt to not tell people to ‘please leave me the fuck alone’. He was wound so tight that one wrong word could’ve easily made him snap.
“I know,” he confirmed. But rather than actually take a bite of his food, he set the bowl down on the mattress between them. Okay. Food wasn’t going to happen right now. That’s fine.
“Kurt, are you going to be okay?” He asked even though he sensed that he already knew the answer. Kurt was strong, powerful, resilient. But beyond that, he was still human.
“Yep,” Kurt responded directly. “Gotta keep on keeping on, y’know? Work and school aren’t going to wait for me forever. So I have no choice but to be okay.”
It was a reasonable enough answer, but Blaine knew it wasn’t what Kurt was feeling. This brave face that Kurt was putting on wasn’t him being honest with himself. Kurt has dealt with more loss than someone his age has any right to. His mother was first, and now Finn. And all the while, his own father was still in a balancing act with his own health and Blaine knew how much that worried Kurt.
Blaine knew he should’ve just left well enough alone, but that wasn’t really his style.
“It’s okay to not be okay, Kurt,” Blaine gently reminded. Kurt clearly didn’t want the reminder.
“You’re not going to lecture me into discussing my feelings. I won’t. I’m fine. And even if I’m not, that’s not going to bring Finn back, now is it?” Kurt put in great effort to make his words come out collected, but his own emotions worked to betray him. “So I’d be wasting my time weeping over something like this when it’s not going to change a single thing.”
“I know that, but please just listen, okay?” Blaine didn’t hold Kurt’s emotions against him. Asking someone to be entirely pleasant after undergoing severe loss was an unreasonable request. All he wanted was for Kurt to hear him for a moment. And with the way that Kurt fell silent, it seemed like he was willing to try.
“Nobody’s asking you to be fine,” Blaine began, moving both of their bowls to Kurt’s nightstand so that he could sit closer to his partner. “All I’m asking is that you be honest with yourself. Everyone can see how hard this has been on you; it’s not exactly a secret.” In response to Blaine’s words, Kurt looked away from him, instead choosing to examine his fingernails. It was artificial distance, not making eye contact. Blaine continued on regardless. “You don’t have to tell me what’s going on inside your head, but just know that whatever it is, you’re allowed to feel it.”
Kurt didn’t respond, but the way that he bit anxiously at his lower lip told Blaine that he was at least listening. That was good at least, that he was attentive to what Blaine was saying to him.
Blaine continued, reaching down to hold Kurt’s hand in his, his thumb swiping instinctively over Kurt’s engagement ring. Kurt watched the motion and sucked in a shaky breath. Kurt didn’t need to say what he was thinking at that moment; Blaine already knew — Finn was never going to be able to see Kurt get married, or even be married himself.
“I don’t think you’ve let yourself feel much of anything since it happened. You didn’t even cry at the funeral.” Kurt tensed, but didn’t pull away. Blaine continued. “I’m not saying you have to talk about it. I’m not saying you have to pour your heart out to the first person who is willing to listen. All I’m saying is that you need to let yourself be not okay. If you go back to New York and pretend nothing’s wrong, I’m scared it’s going to eat you alive. I don’t want that for you.”
Blaine fell silent after that, now only watching Kurt’s face as he continued to stare down at their joined hands. Seconds bled into minutes of wordlessness, and Blaine was beginning to worry that everything he had just said was going to be discarded.
That is, until Kurt’s eyes turned glassy with tears.
“Kurt?” Blaine asked and was immediately followed by silent tears streaming in heavy drops down Kurt’s face. “Shit, Kurt…”
Blaine hugged Kurt close then and Kurt didn’t even try to turn it down. Kurt’s arms were tight around Blaine as if he was afraid that if he let Blaine go, he’d disappear. The room was silent save for the soft sounds of Kurt’s broken gasps as wept quietly into Blaine’s shoulder. It tore at Blaine’s heart, hearing those sounds come from Kurt, his one true love, who somehow unjustly is regularly the victim of tragedy.
Kurt never did end up saying all the things that he had locked up inside his head, but that was okay. He didn’t need to. His actions were loud enough that Blaine understood them as if he were reading them from a book. If Kurt never discussed this again, that would be okay too.
The message was already clear enough.

Oooh, definitely glee for the fandom asks! <3
Always with the hornets' nests with these ones, I see! Though i don't think there's a fandom out there that isn't in some way a hornets' nest once it gets large enough... hm. Alright. I'm just gonna be as honest as i can be about this, and tag accordingly.
Glee:
my favourite female character: augh. argh. ouph. so difficult. so hard. Since I'm working off of half-remembered show and half recently-rewatched show... its a tossup. Mercedes, Santana, Quinn. Probably Mercedes. She did nothing wrong ever in her entire life <3 well okay maybe except that one time she smashed kurt's car windows (but it was a banger song, though). Can't say Santana because of the Biphobia TM and other things like excessive use of bigotry-based insults, and Quinn. Oh god girl. Cheating is not cool! Funnily enough! So I find them really interesting but 'favourite' is hard to say. Mercedes. Mercedes for sure <3
my favourite male character: Blaine sam blaine sam blaine sam yes. I am imitating ripping petals off of flowers and coming to a conclusion based on which is the last name i said. So I guess that means Sam! But really this is a tie.
my favourite book/season/etc: Mannnnn idk. I don't like shows for seasons as-a-whole. Also i could not tell you what happened in any given season if you held a gun to my head. I'm not good at that. The only shows i know 'seasons' of are Buffy and Teen Wolf because i've watched them like 100000000000 times (exaggeration) for various reasons (mostly fanfiction research).
my favourite episode (if its a tv show): I can tell you my LEAST favourite episode (blame it on the alcohol, thank you Kurt king of biphobia! this is a persona foible it's not the worst episode in the show. by far. by far. it's kind of an average one. I'm just angry at it.) BUT er. Favourite? Idk. Genuinely some of the earlier Kurt-centric stuff was really well done (his convo with Burt... <3) and the Quinn giving birth accompanied by bohemian rhapsody was obviously iconic, but if I'll be honest I couldn't name any episodes of this show (other than That One previously stated, anyway). And yeah most of the time they were named after song titles and No i don't remember those song titles either. I'm just so bad at this. My memory is that of a goldfish's being haphazardly bounced around on a sieve.
my favourite cast member: it would be really funny if I said Demi Lovato [she counts!] but the truth is N/A: i don't know these people !!! They are strangers!! (i don't. follow celebrities. at all. I couldn't even name most of them. They're just people doing a job and their lives are irrelevant to me beyond their ability to perform that job well. I do not need to know where they live and what coffee they drink. Stalker shit tbh. I'm kind of a very private person myself, so rpf-adjacent stuff just... creeps me out. I've never watched a single cast interview in my lifetime and I'm not about to start!)
my favourite ship: Difficult to say! Grave and obvious lie. Blam. It's blam. Quintana is a close runner up though Santana really needs to stop dating people who cheat on the regular (I'll accept Quinn has grown enough not to do this by the time a Quintana coupling would be viable - and satisfying in terms of character arcs - narratively speaking).
a character I’d die defending: Blaine Anderson did something wrong for sure but like Kurt did it first so shrugs. Cancels out. Bad for each other! Case closed!
a character I just can’t sympathize with: genuinely don't remember if I had one of those the first time around because I was like 10 and just didn't pay attention if I didn't care, but Terri and her racist self take that 'prize' this time, alongside the obvious predator in the room [original choir teacher. Sandy? I forget his name immediately after hearing it. He doesn't deserve to be remembered]. Also JBI is just.... a yikes character all around. I mean, he's a blatant stereotype for one, in a the people who wrote this person don't like jews kind of way. Unfortunately common stereotype too, for the era, so not only is he that, he's also lazy. Just a one-note pervert who's the butt of various antisemitic 'jokes' you've heard from era-peer shows a million times over, tired and awful and a sour reminder of bigotry that continues to this day. Really regrettable character who's lack of redeeming qualities was probably purposeful. (I know Rachel and tina are also jewish, but this comes up very rarely and mostly only when santana needs to say something kind of fucked up, as is her modus operandi, for 'comic relief'. Tina's jewish-ness wasn't even canon for several seasons, because she didn't have a surname or a family or anything resembling complex character depth for several seasons. The one time I really remember Rachel's religion being important was when she was pressuring Kurt into believing in some kind of god, which??? don't do that. Bad example. Trying to guilt trip a friend into faith sucks. I take back what i said earlier Mercedes did that too. Boo. Girls try again that was a bad showing all around. Though i have no idea why Kurt went the acupuncture route as his 'secular' option but i think that has to do a lot with the writers doing literally no research ever once in their lives (you can tell they don't by the way they write the football segments of the show, which make no sense according to football fans who watch Glee, of which there are numerous because real life isn't like fiction where you can only like music or sports. Most of the kids in my school year were doing the most of everything ever if they were the 'popular' ones - we do that differently; popularity isn't really based on who know know; for some bizzare reason literally everyone knew who I was? Even people I'd never spoken to?? - but more about like... how much you can do, I guess. Overachievers, but I'm not saying that negatively; these people were generally - generally - very nice, and surprisingly chill for people who had no spare time whatsoever. I'm not entirely sure when they slept; A* across the board, at least one sport, at least one instrument, several extracurriculars, parties every weekend, dozens of friends and an s.o. . Eh? Way too much going on. Scary lifestyle! Impressive burnout rate, probably. Er. Tangent! Back to the scheduled programming).) There's uhhhh there's a lot of bad characters on the show, but i'd say Sandy and Terri and her equally but more loudly racist sister are truly completely irredeemable ones. Like they're not interesting or anything, they're just there to be narrative annoyances (which, in the case of Sandy specifically, is insane. Arrest that man!!! He has actively sexually assaulted minors!!!).
a character I grew to love: difficult to say because I tend to just make an opinion and stick to it. Also i don't remember who i liked at first and who i didn't, this show came out when i was eight. I didn't watch it until I was a little older than that, of course, but I frankly have spotty memory until my late teens, so! I'm not sure!! Quinn, probably. Pink-hair-era Quinn helped me understand her more, and seeing the moments of kindness hidden behind practical cruelty, when you understand her family and situation, makes things make a lot more sense. It takes a lot to get me to sympathise with a cheater, but I can see where Quinn was getting all turned around in her head about life because of her upbringing and socialisation, not to mention the profoundly negative impact cheerios had on her mentally and that the school's culture in general was not exactly a breeding ground for empathy and optimism.
my anti otp: can you tell (klaine). I don't dislike Kurt!!! Please let him have a fun chillaxed boyfriend in new york with his vogue friends. But also please stop attempting to control other people's diets thank you!! Thank you!! I'm of mixed feelings. Blaine and Kurt both did at least one bad, relationship-ending thing, and proved over and over again that they just weren't on the same wavelength in regards to life goals and ways of living it. They can't even share the same living space, which is kind of required for a functional marriage. I don't know, it just seems like they settled for their first proper, serious boyfriend even if that's not really the best match, and I... wish they'd just got to see more of life first, you know? They got married at like 20! Or something! I'm 23, I cannot imagine getting married at 20. That's a baby. Let them live first!
(same for Santana and Brittney, imo. I also don't really like them together because Santana and Brittney have very different ideas regarding monogamy, which is just never going to go down well in the long run. If your girl cheats on you like twenty times and tells you to your face its not cheating in her view of things, but you think it is, break up with her because you'll just make each other miserable. Brittney sort of seems incapable of feeling guilt but if she were, this kind of moral pressure would be Not Good, and obviously Santana isn't comfortable with the idea and doesn't have to be!! Just move on!!! Find other people!!!! Don't marry your first girlfriend if you've broken up like ten times this is simple!!!! Please!!!! But Klaine wins out over Brittana because - in my opinion, glee fandom please do not persecute me, I am known for this specific thing - I see... interactions that verge on abusive between Klaine that I don't see in Brittana. So. Oof? Ex; use of public perception to disguise attack; deliberately hurting Blaine in a stage-combat fencing match (you are not meant to make actual contact in these) and thus using Blaine's own dislike of making his difficulties common knowledge against him in order to 'punish' him. This is no good! Don't do this!!.[Also just to err vaguepost about a comment.... that is. not. what i would call passive aggressive. Physically attacking someone with a sword - no matter the type of sword, fencing foils hurt just as much, they're just not stab-you sharp... er, these days - is just straight-up aggressive.]).
Note that negative things stick in the mind better than positive ones; on a rewatch I may well alter my opinion!
But also I'm really, really stubborn. So it's not likely. Klaine.
#how the fuck do i tag this#glee#glee shite#ask game#anti-klaine#anti-brittana#anti-kurt#though it isn't because i do like him genuinely one of the better characters. he just... doesn't treat blaine great because they're#fundamentally incompatible romantically. and that's fine! but taking this out on each other isn't.#augh. i hate talking about controversial shit a;lksfja;slkf i used to get So Scared of anon hate mobs you have no idea#if i thought something could get that i simply would never ever not one even dare to think it. let alone say it online in a private forum#(dms with my friends) or god forbid a public post#so. this is growth!#you could say i just got a really weird form of catholic guilt about dissenting from public opinion when i was like 14. you'd also probably#be correct! As I was catholic. And all. Not very devout mind you (did not. go to church.) but still#anyways.#... there's so much i could say about brittany as a character but i'd have to rewatch to make sure i was being accurate about her.#so much that isn't exactly glowing commendation. to be clear.#augh. this show gives me so many very very mean thoughts about it. because it does things so very meanly most of the time#it handles beaste well. Coach Beaste is great. 11/10 character#but so much other stuff it gets just so wrong. just so wrong#(also i never finished the show. actually like genuinely i just missed a whole portion of it. so if they fuck up Beaste at some point I hav#not seen I'll be really really mad.)#(I found out about some of the later events-second hand. i don't 100% know how the brittana marriage goes down but i just... don't like it#as a concept. like at all. they're too young and too unstable for that shit.)#(basically; towards the end i was still watching the show on tv. so i missed whole swathes of episodes thanks to how tv works. do not miss#that headache!)#augh. i should shut up now and go to bed. midnight.)#<3 thanks for the ask! Hope i didn't say anything you disagree with too strongly...

And what if I said I need a silly non-magic Starbreaker Glee au. Unfortunately Jace is Mr. Shue but imagine the drama that will come from him teaching a choir full of the bad kids, rat grinders, and the seven. Imagine the chaos. Imagine Porter as Sue Sylvester coach of the cheerios. They have an enemies to lovers arc while they fight over budget cuts and department funding. Porter wants Jace dead for a while and Jace wants him to fuck off so he can make the kids sing another Journey song for the millionth time. But at some point he starts wanting to help them maybe once or twice while still fucking with them. Jawbone still gets to be guidance counselor and for a while Jace will have a little crush on him like whatever will and Emma have going on in the early seasons. I like the idea of Lydia being Coach Biest. I also need Sam Nightingale to be Quinn Fabray. Idk which students would be which glee characters but that one is a must. I like the idea of making Riz Artie tho. Fig could be a fun Tina. Fabian idk I really want him to be Sam bc Sam is my favorite for most of the show, he and Fabian have a similar vibe. I desperately need a Kristen Brittany thing happening with how silly they both are.

Catherine, I feel so confidently that "I Look Through People's Windows" was inspired by The Little Match Girl but I don't see anyone else posting about this so now I'm trusting in you, someone who has big Listens to Classic Christmas Stories With Family During the Holidays energy, to back me up on this
I BLANKED ON THIS STORY AND HAD TO LOOK IT UP. Here's the wikipedia summary for those interested:
Tumblr media
See my prev post on me randomly crying reading this. So after recalling the story, I am with you!!! There is no reason for Taylor to mention Christmas unless it was relevant to the story.
Tumblr media
Also the opening line??? The little match girl literally dies to watch these visions in the cold (I assume the catch in breath means the breath in cold air).
Tumblr media
Anon you are so right. Miss born on a Christmas tree farm Taylor is telling the story of herself looking for one more chance with a loved one via an olden Christmas story. Taylor is the little match girl.

top five glee episodes?!
This was sooo difficult, I have a top 10 list in my notes app and cutting it down to 5 HURT!! This is them in chronological order because I cannot order them in terms of preference :')
1. Bad Reputation (1x17)
This is the perfect glee episode imo. It understands what glee is meant to be, the satire is *on point* if all of glee was in this tone society would have flying cars
2. Blame it On the Alcohol (2x14)
It's popular for a reason, this episode is so funny and very teenage in a silly way which I love
3. Original Songs (2x16)
Changed lives!! Quintessential glee! Need I say more
4. Prom Queen (2x20)
I LOVE THE ANGST! Every storyline is 10/10, acting is on point, tunes are amaaazing
5. The Hurt Locker Part 1&2 (6x4&5)
The people who didn't make it to season 6 REALLY missed out on this masterpiece. Again, this is the tone that glee should be (utterly bonkers)
Honorable mentions (aka the others on my top 10 list): Throwdown, Saturday Night Gleever, Guilty Pleasures, Puppet Master, Michael

Hi! For the Glee episode ask, Loser Like Me? 🙂
(tumblr has given up posting this ask three times, let's hope it's the good one)
Hello and thank you! <3
my favourite song: suddenly seymour
my favourite quote: "They said you have to lose everything before you can really find yourself" ❤️‍🩹
my favourite moment: as sad and super angsty as it is, I feel like saying that it is the scene at the scandal. You've got these two boys who are trying not to break down in front of each other, and you feel a part of their pain. It's so emotionally charged, and I feel like giving so many kudos to Chris for the fantastic acting. I especially love the moment when Kurt has to run to the bathroom to cry. The image of a composed and almost impassive boy that we had seen in the last season finally fails, showing his fragility
my least favourite moment: Spencer who simply has to be a jerk for no reason
my favourite character (in that episode): I think Rachel, she finally knows what it's like to fail and to have to take a step back to find herself and start again

Sometimes I think about probably my earliest memory of gay on tv was the literal Saw trap that Sue put Kurt and Blaine into on Glee so they would gay kiss and get back together… wonder if that explains anything about me

Hi how about „things you said when you were drunk“ 🤭
tysm for the prompt! i decided to make this during “blame it on the alcohol”, in a possible scenario that could’ve happened once kurt took a drunken blaine back to his house. hope you enjoy !!
Pairing: Kurt Hummel/Blaine Anderson
Rating: G
Word Count: 1014
Prompt: 11 - things you said when you were drunk
if you would like to send me a prompt, you can do so here!
fic can be read under the cut <3
The effort it took to haul Blaine up to his bedroom was far from an easy task. He was entirely inebriated and as a consequence, terribly unstable on his feet. There was a moment where Kurt was fully convinced that Blaine was going to accidentally fall down the stairs, but somehow they made it — and they didn’t even wake his dad, thank god.
When Blaine spoke, it was entirely too loud. “I can’t believe how-”
“Shhh!” Kurt corrected urgently. “My family is asleep, remember?”
“Right, sorry!” Blaine whisper-shouted, and Kurt supposed it was better than nothing. “I can’t believe how fun that was.” Kurt got them both into his bedroom, softly closing the door behind them in hopes that the barrier would muffle most of Blaine’s giddy chattering. “Did you see my duet with Rachel?”
“Yep. It sure was a duet,” Kurt replied and he could admit quietly to himself that he was bitter. It didn’t matter that Rachel was drunk; she knew that Kurt liked Blaine. It wasn’t a secret by any stretch. So for her to kiss him like she had and then sing with him afterwards, it felt a bit like betrayal.
Blaine leaned into Kurt happily, blissfully unaware of Kurt’s slightly sour mood. “God, she really is talented, huh?” He praised and Kurt couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
“Oh yeah, she’s brilliant,” he replied sarcastically, most definitely not bitter. Kurt helped Blaine until he was seated on the foot of the bed. There was no way that Kurt was successfully going to be able to get Blaine into sleepwear, he realized upon looking over Blaine’s disheveled form. His burgundy cardigan sat on him messily and his curls had all but escaped the confines of its gel. The best thing he could do was just let Blaine go to sleep as he was.
Plus, if he focused on that, it would serve better to distract him from the fact that Blaine Anderson was in his bedroom. His very obvious crush. On his bed.
He was also shit-faced drunk. And had just kissed Rachel Berry about an hour before. That was decidedly less sexy.
“Alright, loverboy, you need some sleep.” Kurt helped Blaine out of his shoes and urged him up to where his head was resting on the pillows.
“You seem upset,” Blaine acknowledged and Kurt was met with the saddest, wettest eyes that he’d ever seen Blaine manage. “Why are you upset?”
“I’m not upset. Just a little annoyed that I’m having to babysit you.” Well, that was at least somewhat true.
“No, you’re definitely upset…” Blaine argued with a bit of drunken hurt in his voice. “Did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me?”
“You’re fine, Blaine,” he stated. He didn’t want to have this conversation. Not at all, but certainly not while Blaine was drunk.
Blaine gasped then, as if coming to some sort of realization, and sat up in bed. “Is this about Rachel? Are you mad that I kissed her?”
“Blaine. You’re drunk. This is not the time to talk about this.” Kurt pulled the covers up over Blaine’s chest, hovering over him to meet his gaze. “So go to bed. You’re probably going to be hungover in the morning.”
It was then that Blaine reached up and held Kurt’s face in his hands. The gesture caught Kurt off guard and it was all he could do stare at Blaine with a wide-eyed, stunned look. Blaine, however, did not seem to register Kurt’s shock as he began to ramble. “I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings, Kurt.”
“Blaine, seriously, it’s fine.”
“No, it’s not fine!” Blaine interjected a bit too loudly. Kurt immediately shushed him and pulled Blaine’s hands away from his face. He looked towards his closed door for a moment, waiting in nervous anticipation for someone to open it to find out what all the noise was. When nobody came, Kurt was able to relax just a fraction. He opted to hold Blaine’s hands instead since the boy was feeling particularly touchy tonight, and returned his attention to him.
“It’s not fine,” Blaine continued, quieter this time. “I shouldn’t have kissed Rachel in front of you, especially when I know that you have a crush on me.”
“Blaine, we really don’t need to talk about this-”
“Lemme finish! Y’know I would’ve kissed you too, right?” Blaine stated through slightly slurred speech and—
Wait. What?
“You’re so nice to me and handsome and I would’ve kissed you. But you’re also my best friend and I don’t wanna mess things up with my best friend ‘cause I’ve like, never dated anyone before. And I don’t want us to end up like how things did with Jeremiah ‘cause that was like, super embarrassing. So I can’t date you even though you want me too and I kinda want to ‘cause you’re my best friend and it would be so sucky if I screwed that up.”
While it was certainly a bit of word vomit on Blaine’s end, Kurt still thought that he understood what Blaine was getting at. And at its most basic level, Kurt already knew that this was Blaine’s sentiment. He liked the friendship that he and Kurt had and really didn’t want to jeopardize that.
However, listening to Blaine now, pouring his (albeit drunken) feelings out to Kurt like this felt much more honest and raw. And with it being past midnight and with him just watching Blaine hang all over Rachel for two hours, it was all too much. Blaine was all too much.
“Go to bed, Blaine,” is what he decided to say in response.
Blaine pouted, but didn’t argue. “Fine, but only ‘cause my room is spinning and closing my eyes makes it stop.” He laid back down on the pillows then and Kurt let out a sigh of relief. Blaine yawned, getting comfortable beneath the covers. “We’re gonna talk ‘bout this tomorrow, though.”
“You probably won’t even remember this by tomorrow,” Kurt replied, but Blaine was already asleep.
God, he hoped that Blaine wouldn’t remember this tomorrow.

Name five scenes that show off Blaine’s best qualities?
sorry for taking a couple days to respond I knew I'd really have to sit and think this one out!
the first scene that comes to mind is when finn basically baits him into thinking he's going to get a solo but is actually talking about rory. while like 90% of the other glee characters would yell at him, storm out, or slap somebody, he just says it's a great idea and rory will do a great job. I think it's something people get wrong about his character all the time, that because he sings a lot he's a diva the likes of rachel. I know anderberry is popular but I think they're more disimilar than people think. rachel throws a fit when things don't go her way. the kick to blaine's character is whether he gets something good or not he doesn't mind. I think it's a really endearing quality. he loves singing, and does it whenever he gets the chance, but he also is so positive about sharing the spotlight in a way that's sort of rare on the show. another example to this point is that he was willing to not audition for tony for kurt, or that he always is featured in group numbers or a duet in competitions after joining NDs.
which reminds me of the whole thing in season five where tina offers him a solo for nationals because everyone agreed he deserves it for working hard, and then like two episodes later when he got valedictorian they're mad he got a solo because he gets 'handed things' but they were the ones who handed him this thing. and then he doesn't perform a solo at nationals and does a duet with tina, who was the one mad at him also. what. anyways. back to the question at hand LOL
secondly we always have to acknowledge the scene at the end of prom queen. i think it's a really beautiful moment of character growth. blaine in season two is clearly someone who went through some things and is very afraid because of this, and we get this very special moment where he faces his fears for kurt. to me it shows his heart. he loves sooo big
a third thing i really like is blaine standing up for jane in season six. at first he's a little thrown off by the whole thing but he ends up being fully behind her and i think it shows a good quality that even after the vote when she maybe doesn't even want to be in the group anymore he threatens to quit. just wants to make things right either way!!
fourthly can i just say a lot of his relationship with sam? in general i think the way he handles having a crush on him shows this quality he has in sort of putting those he cares about before himself (not always so much to the healthiest degree.. but he's sweet). he really wants to make people happy. i think for the last scene i can point out this in a lot of his friendships but i think i'll refer to my favorite: tina. particularly when he's concerned about her in the season five premiere so he schemes to make the guys take her to prom. that's his best friend who is so mean and he just wants to help her. anyways this has been long and gone a little all over the place but here you go.
