I am in the middle of updating the resource document on the hide stash drive with several fan websites, both for X and other visual kei bands. I am also in the process of adding what little remnants I could find from each of these websites and adding them to the "old web" folder of the drive itself. For pretty much the rest of the year, I will be focusing on visual kei bands that built the foundations for my love for vkei, which is turning 20 this June !

I already posted the first one here (I thought I would get the obvious ones out of the way lol)

Now, I have several packs ready to be turned into post, but i don't know where to start, so I thought I would ask :)

Since it’s Lay and Glay’s birthday, here’s are some facts about them.

Lay’s Fun Facts

Lay enjoy stargazing. They are like everyone’s little therapist. Lay knows how to dance ballets since they were forced to dance ballets. But sometimes, dancing ballet will help them to keep their mind off. Lay likes to play piano and ukulele. During Lay’s healing weeks, Lay won’t eat sometimes and won’t eat an entire day. They will only eat a small amount. Lay is a both cat and dog person, they like all kinda of animals. While using their power, Lay will start to feel a bit tired from using it too long. Since Lay knows about to reset and have the power to reset, they have nightmares of other timelines where their loved ones die over and over again. Lay will sometimes have nightmares about their ‘parents’ but their family is always there for them. Lay was able to remember the timeline Henry did.

Glay’s Fun Facts

Glay would sometimes like to go around the government camp or the Toppat Airships, no matter how much Kai told them to stay away. Kai trusts Glay to go to the Toppat Airship since Nicole(@lovelygirlnicole15) lives there. Glay usually will turn invisible to other people since they don’t want to let other people out. Glay stays on Earth because they want to move on with Chris and Kai if they pass away, no matter how long it takes. Glay has a little lamb named Blue, and those two stay together forever. It doesn’t rain a lot in the forest, at least five times a month, so Glay will carry an umbrella if it starts raining. Glay can go out if it’s snowing but if it’s raining, they will melt and get hurt. The tears will never go away, no matter how many times you wipe it. The sadder Glay is, the more tears will come.

I hope you learn more about those two little kids! Happy birthday, Lay and Glay.

Actually no, i'm prettu sure i found glay through limewire, now that I think about it... I have to admit, though, I didn't really keep up with them. Another one of these bands that aren't bad by any means, but I had other things to listen to, when I discovered them. So i ended up overlooking them.

Two bell silence was on the 灰とダイヤモンド (hai to dIamond) album, released in 1994

hide - Beauty & Stupid

I remember this being the first song I liked from hide. It also still regularly finds its way in my playlist, and has been for the past 20 years :)

Beauty & Stupid was a single released in 1996.

L'Arc~en~Ciel - Coming Closer

So laruku ended up being kind of far from my cup of tea, but i still did listen to them a little, you know, to figure out they were not my thing lmao. I remember putting this one on a disc for a school work i was doing on Japan lol, so it seemed fitting that i put it here too (but also I felt like stay away was too obvious x) ). It's not a bad song, but it's laruku, so it definitely sounds like... a laruku song.

PENICILLIN - Imitation Love

Penicillin is one of these bands that I wish was better than they actually are XD Still, Imitation Love (and romance fwiw) too regularly finds its way to my playlist and have been doing so for the past 20 years

Imitation Love was the A-side of the Imitation Love/Never Ending Story single, released in 1996

Plastic Tree - バカになったのに (baka ni natta no ni)

Not gonna lie, I hesitated between this one and aoi tori. I ended up chosing baka ni natta no ni because i though is suited the other tracks better than aoi tori. I also burned this song on several disks, at the time ahah.

Baka ni natta no ni was a single released in 2003
