pumpkin is a natural exfoliator and this formula is gentle and works quickly

dark spot repair - urban skin rx

a retinoid that works by pushing the youngest, newest layer of skin up to the surface over time. this product really worked for me with consistent use. I started with just spot treating every night, then went to every other night all over, and finally every night. there were dark spots that had surfaced that I could literally peel right off

drinking this everyday made me see a HUGE difference in my skin. it was soft, plump and much more radiant and alive looking

supermud - glam glow

works with exfoliants to refine pores, smooth texture and brighten dull skin. i use mine once weekly

2% liquid bha exfoliant - paula’s choice

every time i use this stuff i literally wake up with bright, glowy BABY skin that is taut and smooth

daily peel pads - dr. dennis gross

similar results to the paula’s choice exfoliant, BABY SOFT SKIN that is extremely brightened and tightened

bio-oil

this seems to be a hit or miss for me. one week i’ll see results, another week it’ll seem to just be sitting there. but i’d be lying if i said i’ve never seen dark marks improve when i’m using my bio-oil

vitamin c + caffeine serum - youth to the people

this juicy serum always leaves me skin supple and glowy, and is probably one of the main factors that have helped my dark spots turnover and disappear

tips:

ditch manual exfoliants like scrubs, micro beads, spin brushes, etc. micro tearing is real and is not your friend. it’s also unnecessary, less effective, and needs to be done extremely (nearly impossibly) gently to not have any adverse affects

don’t neglect the basic needs of skin. sure you’re on a dark spot elimination journey, but your skin still needs cleansing, moisture and hydration. use gentle products when using the products on this list. use oils, face lotions and deep/gentle cleansers to ensure the health of your skin

USE SPF!!! it took me so long to finally do myself this favor. I would spend $$$$ on dark spot products then not protect my skin against the sun. if you do that you’re literally asking for your dark spots to be darkened ten fold. no less than SPF 30 will cut it. I use SPF 50. this is the last step in my daytime skin routine.

don’t expect instant gratification!!! dark spots are literally one of the hardest things to reverse, don’t give up. give it a few months to do its thing. it will happen with consistency and care

Skincare Routine

UPDATED ROUTINE

so many people asked for a skincare routine lol... it’s really nothing special tbh

1. so i put a few pumps of the L’oréal ‘Fine Flowers Makeup Remover’ onto my face then i wipe my makeup off with Simple makeup removing wipes then wash my face with warm water

2. i’ll put some toner onto a cotton pad and wipe around my face to remove any extra dirt and makeup, and then moisturise, make sure you moisturise both your face and your neck

3. twice/three times a week i’ll use the Glam Glow ‘Supermud Mask’ or the Mario Badescu ‘Silver Powder’ face masks

4. then i’ll use the Mario Badesu drying lotion on any spots/ marks... this is a LIFE SAVER!

also some tips:

-know what breaks you out... for me it’s crisps and sugary sweets so i avoid these

-wear suncream on your face/ neck every day, not only does it protect you from the sun but it prevents aging and the development of wrinkles

-i’ve got skin that scars really easily so if you’re like me then use bio oil! (and also run castor oil through your brows to make them grow/thicker)

I’m super excited about tonight’s post! I will be reviewing Glamglow’s Super Mud mask! I’ve been doing a lot of research about this product because I am looking for a high quality mask to clear up my skin. Basically glamglow has taken everyone by their feet! So I wanted to see if this product was really as great as everyone says or if its another trend not worth splurging on.

The packaging is really beautiful and the box it is in is so sparkly and reflects light so beautifully! Here are some pictures of the packaging:

  My skin is extremely dry and I have acne….. I know it sucks:( Therefore I can’t use any strong acne treatments because it would completely dry out my skin so I went to Sephora and one of the workers gave me a sample because I wanted to try it out and see if it would dry out my skin.

My skin before the mask

As you can see I have quite a bit of acne and a variety of small pimples, blackheads (not visible in picture), and larger pimples that I really wanted to squeeze!

First I washed my face and got rid of all my makeup.

Then I used a foundation brush (pictured below) as I believe it is cleaner, easier to apply, and most importantly it saves product.

I applied it all over my face and tried to concentrate it on my nose and forehead since those are my trouble areas. I also put very little on the sides of my face because my cheeks are extremely sensitive. The mask had a cooling sensation and starting stiffening almost immediately.

In the slideshow above you can see the different stages of the face mask. It was stiffening and I definitely couldn’t smile or talk but surprisingly it wasn’t that uncomfortable. On the last few pictures you can really see the mask digging into the pores in all my trouble areas.

Results:

Around 15 min later I removed the mask by simply washing it off with warm water, it came off very easily and didn’t clump down my drain or make a big mess. I was extremely surprised to see that my cheeks survived and weren’t peeling at all, although when I looked closer my nose was peeling quite a bit but not nearly as bad as I thought it would. So overall this mask is not as drying as many reviews say. Although, many other people mentioned their face feeling extra soft and clean afterwards, mine didn’t feel any different.

At first I thought the mask didn’t do anything to my face but then I was looking through these pictures up close and noticed a few things. Firstly in one of the pictures (below) if you zoom in on my nose you can literally seem the pore gunk coming out! I do not know how I didn’t notice this IRL but the photo shows  it perfectly. Immediately after I saw very little difference in my acne.. it maybe got a little less red? I’m pretty sure there were no immediate differences but I am writing this a few hours after having put the mask off and I must say my acne is much less inflamed and the redness is almost gone!

If you zoom in one my nose here you can completely see my pores coming out (as well as some peeling)

In conclusion, this mask isn’t a miracle worker that made my pimples disappear immediately but there is significant improvement in redness and inflammation. So if you struggle with small concentrated usually inflamed acne like me I think this would be a good mask for you.I am going to purchase the full size because I decided to splurge on myself for the New Year but I recommend looking at the Murad collection for a similar mask at only $45. I was told by the worker at Sephora that it was as good if not better and is more budget friendly. (I didn’t get that sample because I felt bad asking her for another haha)

Mi sprawdzają się maseczki z Glam Glow, szczególnie Supermud. Tylko kosmetyki tej marki są dość intensywne i mogą podrażnić wrażliwa cerę. Bd dobre są tez od Caolion i Dr. Jart+. Koreańskie maski bywają całkiem niezle :) A jeśli chodzi o oczyszczanie porów, to polecam Pilaten Black Mask.

@people who use facemasks (we’re not talking sheet masks, we’re talking like, Put this substance on your face, leave it for a bit then wash it off type masks)

Should that shit hurt when you first put it on? Like kind of sting? I notice it most with clay masks, most of all the glam glow supermud one?? Also the L’Oréal pure clay one... Like, is it supposed to feel like that? Is it some unspoken thing that everyone knows but no one comments on coz they feel like everyone’s gonna call them a knob?

I never have any rashes or red blotches or anything so I don’t think I’m allergic... I just... should I be suffering this pain? Is it normal?? Someone please help me???
