becoming a better student ₊˚⊹♡

Prepare for your classes ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Wake up on time. We don't want to be stressed first thing in the morning, right?
Eat breakfast. So you will be able to better focus in class.
Assigned reading and homework. Make sure you are prepared for your classes!! :)
Review your notes. Going through some of your flashcards before class is really helpful.
Check your bag and charge your devices. Ensure you have everything you need: Books, homework, chargers, pens, water...

In Class ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Listen and pay attention. You can save yourself a lot of trouble by simply paying attention, trust me.
Take notes. My favourite note-taking method is the Cornell method; I can make a separate post on that!! <3
"Quick notes." If you struggle with note-taking, try taking quick and messy notes. You can clean them up once you get home!!
Engage. If you have any questions or don't understand something, make sure to ask!! Most teachers really appreciate students who speak up. :)
No distractions. Turn off your phone, no chatting, you'll be glad...

After class ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Finish your assignments as soon as you can. Go home, put on a cosy outfit, have a snack, and get working!! <3
Prepare flash cards. A great way of reviewing your notes, too... :)
Update your Study schedule. Write down any assignment and due dates, reading you must do, upcoming tests, etc...
Clean up your notes. Review them, highlight the important parts, and maybe even make them look cute!! :)
Don't avoid topics/Subjects you dislike. I know it is tempting, but you can't avoid them forever, so you might as well get them done

Structure and routine ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Goals and Priorities. Keep them realistic and manageable.
Time management. Having a set schedule makes studying less overwhelming; it takes some discipline but is so worth it!! <3
Develop a routine. Figure out what works best for you; I prefer studying in the morning or at night.
No "zero days". Even if you can only do a bit, do it!! NO. ZERO. DAYS.
Remember your goals. Dreams will keep you motivated; remind yourself of what you're working for!! <3

Self-care and balance ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Don't forget about your hobbies. You need to do things that make you happy, so make time for those things!!
Maintain a balanced diet. I know chocolates and junk are tempting, especially when you are busy studying all day, but you're not doing yourself any favours.
Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. 8 Hours. Non-negotiable.
Exercise regularly. Even if it's just a walk, put on some headphones, listen to music, and give yourself a break. <3
Care for your social life. Reach out to your friends, make plans, and keep in touch; a good work-life balance is critical!!

Romanticising ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Study dates. Meet up with your friends at a cosy cafe, discuss your work, and have some fun!! Studying doesn't have to be all serious all the time ;)
Silly Pinterest boards. Visualising your goals will help you find motivation!!
Music to set the mood. I have a bunch of playlists on my Spotify that might help!! <3
Cosy sweater and candles. The cosy Rory Gilmore vibes haha...
Getting a coffee before class. A little treat before things get serious... Simple pleasures, you know? :)
Babes, The hiatus is OVER, and I'm finally back!! I got a lot of asks on studying, burnout, and school in general, so I thought, why not start off with a little student guide?? I Hope October has been kind to you, and school hasn't been too overwhelming (though I know it, unfortunately, has been for many of you), and I'm glad to finally be back!! <33
As always, Please feel free to add your own suggestions and tips in the comments!!

One step, two step, three step, ow! Part 2: Oliver starts taking the reader out on father-daughter dates, and Ollie goes all out (flowers, sweets, cute baskets of things, etc.). The others and Bruce realize this when they try to invite the reader to a family movie night, but she's busy going to Star City to watch a movie with Ollie and Dinah.
I didn't know so many people loved this one, lol. But I'm glad you all enjoyed it so much.
Oliver will honestly spend his time with the reader because the Batfam sometimes forgets to invite you to family events like movie nights, games, or anything really. So, your next best thing is to call up Ollie and spend the day with him, playing board games, destroying Ollie at Uno, and singing with Dinah. The bats will be so confused about where you are, only to find you doing archery lessons with Connor. You'll ask Ollie to take you to school dances, thinking that Bruce is too busy and doesn't care, only to discover he cleared his whole schedule just to find Ollie spending time with his little girl and dancing with him at some silly school dance. It drives the press crazy, and it drives Bruce crazy too. Oliver is stealing his daughter without even trying; he's picking you up for daddy-daughter dates. Bruce is growing more gray hair, and you're already replacing the Batfam with the Arrow family. Damian's rivalry with Connor will skyrocket; the beef they will have will be so one-sided. Like, how dare he steal my older sister, just for Connor to want to hang out with you at the arcade? It starts getting real bad when there’s a picture floating around Twitter of Ollie picking you up in the air while you laugh your face off. This leaves Bruce in shambles for a good few weeks until he literally bans Oliver from picking you up and taking you anywhere, same with Dinah—no, you guys can't bake cookies together It’s finally a night where you were never invited to family night before—no, but you are now—and they'll make you the center of attention, which makes you a bit scared. You're not used to everyone being so nice. It’s like you're on an episode of one of those prank TV series where the camera crew walks out and tells you it's a prank, but there's no camera crew and no boom mic hitting you in the back of the head. There’s no director saying "action." It’s just you guys in this big living room that feels cramped for some reason in front of this big flat-screen TV. Why is everyone looking at you play? Why is Tim pretending to be bad at Tekken 8? He’s a god at Tekken! What’s happening right now? Are you in an episode of the Twilight Zone? 'Cause why is it your turn, and why the hell are they playing to your whims like puppets on a goddamn string? Someone call Roy and get you the hell out of this house before they start gaslighting you into clearing your plans for the day and hanging out with them.

HELLO!! big fan of your animatics!! How do you make them and do you have any tips for inspiration, planning, and what software do you use?
Thank you! I'm glad you like them!
I think the realization that revolutionized the way I think about storyboarding the most is that you HAVE to let your imagination drive. I start off every animatic with super loose, super messy, barely legible sketches, with wrong anatomy, janky movement, etc. Instead of focusing on making it look good, I can just focus on setting it up for its potential, and starting my motivation at the highest point it can be. I never let my first draft take more than a few hours over the course of like 2 days max, or else the drive dissipates.
If I start a board right away with the cleanest, most beautiful art I can muster, I'll kill my own motivation, like "Oh god, in my head, I imagined a huge spinning 3D camera shot here, with a bunch of dancing characters. That last panel alone took me like 30 minutes to draw, I don't wanna do this! I'll draw a simpler, flatter scene instead." and then it ends up looking nothing like how I imagined, and I get demotivated before abandoning the project. But if I start with super messy lines, just barely enough to get the idea out onto a screen where I can watch it, the excitement and imagination will drive, like "Wow, this shot with a huge spinning 3D camera and all these complicated characters looks SO COOL! It's gonna take a lot of work, but look how interesting it looks already! I can't give up on this!"
For reference, this was puppet boy's first draft!
Storyboarding is a bit different from a lot of other visual art mediums because it takes a LOOOOT more work before it starts feeling rewarding. Learning to manage your own motivation is a huge part of building the skill that I feel a lot of people don't mention.
But when it comes to learning how to finalize it, study up on your storyboarding rules! Learn about perspective, anatomy, screen direction, and learn to draw FAST (that's a big one). Draw out shots from your favourite movies, study their composition and take note of their camera/character movement, and how it aligns with the shots sandwiching them. Learn from other artists (I recommend Toniko Pantoja, he's a very experienced board artist who makes a lot of videos abt improving your boards and what it's like to work in the industry), and PRACTISE! Your first piece of art, whenever you try anything new, is going to SUCK. You're gonna think its bad. That's just how art goes. But the next time you do it, you'll always, always, improve, even if just a little, even if you can't see it for yourself.
The biggest thing to keep telling yourself when making storyboards is DON'T GIVE UP YET. YOU'RE SO CLOSE TO MAKING SOMETHING COOL. And then you have to keep telling yourself that over, and over, and over, and over, through all the sighs, and the frustrated rage-quitting, and the exhausted temporary give-ups, and then eventually, those animatics you keep building in your head get to be real! And it feels incredible.
#I have been feeling very sentimental over storyboarding recently for some reason#I feel like I've been struggling to get to a point where it feels 'easy' for years and I've only just now cracked the code#honestly I think making puppet boy was a load-bearing task in my journey as an artist as silly as that may sound#because I've never made anything like it even though I've been dreaming of making something like it for years#and now that I've made it I know I CAN make stuff like this#so making more just feels easy#teehee I love animation and I love art#I love storyboarding and I love my job and I am so incredibly lucky to get to do this every day#I'm so thankful for all the opportunities I've been given to get to do this and I'm even more thankful people like what I make#feeling hashtag sappy#thank you for the ask!#maybe I'll make a full video talking much more in depth abt storyboarding someday#because I definitely have a lot more to say#mailbox

not to bring up satosugu pet play au again but suguru would hire a dog sitter reader to "babysit his dog with separation anxiety while he's at work." you get to the house and call out "satoru!" expecting a golden retriever or husky to trot up to you, but instead satoru crawls out naked with a chew toy in his mouth insisting you play with him.
just food for thought...
eevy eeves eevling you HAVE to know how much this ask has absolutely haunted me for like. five days now.
it'd suck so fucking bad for everyone involved, if only because satoru would NOT like you at first. you've been tricked into joining in on a couple's fucked up little lifestyle pet play kink, likely trapped by an ironclad contract suguru had you sign after warning you that his "precious satoru isn't trained quite as strictly as he could be", and the man you're being paid to watch pretend to be a dog is just. so incredibly mad he has to put up with you while his wife/owner/captor is at work. he'll chew up your clothes and cum inside of your shoes to try and drive you away (rather than his usual, hornier reasons), but you sold your soul to suguru for this job, so it's all you can do to smile and ask him if he's ready for his afternoon grooming session :))
meanwhile, suguru's treating you less like an employee and more like someone who entered into their dynamic willingly. he's likely providing your room and board, so expect to wake up to a new "gift" on the foot of your bed every morning, usually some kind of leather collar-like choker paired with a sweet note about how glad he is that you and satoru are getting along so well. after a few weeks, he starts hitting you with an occasional 'good girl/boy', and for your two month anniversary, he buys a leash with your name engraved into it, just as a little joke for the two of you, he promises. after a while, satoru even starts treating you like a part of their little family - drawing out your name with the same melody he uses for suguru's, sneaking into your room in the middle of the night to sleep in your bed, trying to "play" (i.e. hump your leg until you managed to very politely ask him to get off of you) with you when suguru isn't home, etc. if it gets bad enough, you might start to question if your (admittedly generous) check really is worth it.
and, if you're lucky enough, you'll realize it's very much not before suguru manages to find a dog crate in your size.

People shouldn't be too hard on Mon!
I absolutely love and is grateful of Freed's understanding and appreciation of the Jedi, apparent in the book, apparent in the interview he'd given for the book:
"For me, the excitement of the time period here, is that I tend to think of 'Star Wars' as a setting with plenty of room for grey area stories and moral ambiguity, but there are very clear lines of good and evil as well. There's no version of 'Star Wars' in which you look at the Emperor and go, 'Well, maybe he had some good ideas.' No, the Emperor is evil. And the Jedi and Luke at their best are good. Everything else exists somewhere in there. This is a period where the remains true but no one really knows that the Emperor is evil.
"As far as the public is concerned, this guy just won the worst war in living memory. The Clone Wars were this horrendous affair and Palpatine has put an end to it. Yes, he's declared himself Emperor but he's not the embodiment of all evil. There's not even a Death Star out there. On the absolute good side, the Jedi have sort of been tarnished in recent years. War scrapes away at the shining morality of any organization."
I think Freed really understands what Lucas meant when he said "The Jedi have been corrupted by this war."
...but I still don't hold it against Mon cause she's going through hell and she spoilerspoilerspoilerspoiler in the later half of the book. I think she's fascinating, wonderful, equally valid character with equally valid viewpoints as Bail within context of their own worlds and experiences in this novel.
The editor of the book said it best:
Bail – knows the truth about Palpatine, the Empire, and the fall of the Jedi. Caught between his commitment to truth and justice at any cost, and the duty he has to the daughter he’s been entrusted to protect.
Mon Mothma – a master politician, who believes – like so many – that opposing Palpatine is part of the regular game of politics. She doesn’t yet realize, Palpatine stood up from the game board years ago, and she’s playing against shadows.
Mon and Bail are allies, but not really friends (at this time). Padme was their link, and now, she’s gone. Where does that leave them?
For Mon and Bail especially, the secrets Bail holds that he cannot reveal leaves a gulf between them. And what does it mean when they find themselves at odds with each other, over truths they cannot speak?
prev anon) I'm talking about their different mindsets and experiences and viewpoints born from those and I'm not excusing Mon's... *spoilers* anyway I hope you enjoy the rest of the book! It's so nice seeing an author like Freed, who usually writes non-force side of sw, handling the jedi with such warmth, understanding and awareness
This was such a reassuring message to get, thank you! I've been avoiding spoilers for the book as best I can, but I'm only a quarter of the way through it and I was wondering how the various themes were going to go, but Freed's interview quotes and your comments have made me glad that I'm picking up what this book is putting down, because that's exactly how I've been reading it. (And why I'm hoping to encourage more people to read it--though, I will give a warning that this book can be uncomfortably prescient about current events in a way that I wouldn't say Alexander Freed Is A Witch, but that can be very hard to read about if you're not in the headspace to deal with a lot of reflections of the dumpster fire we're currently in.) As for Mon, I hope nobody comes down on her for this, because as much as I scream, cry, throw up, etc., over Bail's scenes, in general I lean a bit more towards Mon's way of doing things, because I think her approach is her answer to the question, "But what can actually be truly achieved?" That she is looking at an incredibly shitty situation with only shitty options and asking herself what can she actually get done, what does she have a snowball's chance in hell of success with? And she knows clearing the Jedi's name at this point in time is not on the table, not when there are a million other things that might actually do tangible good for the galaxy. And I don't disagree with that! I love the Jedi more than anyone, but clearing their name isn't more important that, say, trying to stop the Wookiees from being classified as a non-sentient species! Clearing their name isn't important enough to blow all your political capital and having nothing to show for it when there are people who you can help, with a chance that will actually succeed! Bail's idealism isn't stupid, he's incredible and the galaxy needs a shining light like him, it's necessary for the bigger hope for the future, we can't make it through the dark times without bright, shining hope. So even when they don't always think positively of each other, I never get the sense that Bail and Mon don't understand that the other is doing what they think is best. They just disagree on what that is. And it makes sense! Bail knew and was friends with the Jedi! He knows the truth about Palpatine and how important all that Force shit is to what's going on here! Mon is operating with the idea that this is a political battle--and she's not entirely wrong, she's necessary to the recovery of the galaxy, too, just as Luke is necessary to save the day, so too is Leia, and I sort of see that reflected in Bail and Mon's approaches--one is focusing on the mystical and one is focusing on the political and I think both are important here. So, I have nothing but hearts for Mon Mothma and what she's trying to do for the galaxy.
And I don't see them as antagonists here, I see them as two people who look at each other with the understanding that there is deep love and compassion for people in the other, that they want this other person on their side not just for political alliances but because they care, and maybe they want to scream in frustration that the other person can't see what they see, but I don't feel for a second that this is going to end with them anything other than them as friends. Their scene in Rogue One implies she knows about Bail knowing a living Jedi, if not directly knowing about Obi-Wan Kenobi, which isn't something he would tell just anyone. I'm hoping for the same with Saw, there's going to be conflict about their approaches, and I love that that's clearly a theme/why these three characters were chosen as the pillars of this book, that each of them are shown to have their reasons why and that each of them serve a purpose. I scream/cry/throw up more about the Jedi because that's the most fun for me, but I am enthralled with Mon's chapters just as much, the political tightrope she's on, and I would encourage people to read for those aspects just as much as I would encourage them for crying about the Jedi. ANYWAY, EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK FOR YOURSELF, I'm having fun with the snippets I'm posting, but the book is so much more than those things! It's one of the best SW for rounding out the characters and filling in the transitions between the movies and TV shows, but in a way that keeps the tension and emotional gut-punches despite that we know where it's going. ALSO, MON MOTHMA AND BAIL ORGANA ARE THE BEST, I'M WILLING TO FIGHT THE INTERNET OVER THIS

Hi Spider, you're the most dog-loving person I follow on this site and I know you have a big following too, so spreading awareness of the apparently quite dangerous dog virus going around in the US that I saw about on reddit. I created a post on my tumblr but if you google 'dog virus 2023' several news articles come up about the states affected, etc
I hope everyone can keep their puppers safe ❤

Hello! I hope you're doing well and I'd like to thank you for being the rad trans uncle of Tumblr. I'm in a fuckin' crimson state that's quite unfriendly to trans people and I'm afraid I won't be able to leave until 2028 at the earliest. Might I ask if there's anything you'd recommend doing? Anywho, I hope the leaves were great where you are! Peace!
It's been weird, but I'm glad to be here. :) As for recommendations, well, while you are not in a great place for trans rights, thinking ahead towards a move a few years down the road *is* good. Stuff you should be considering:
Get your finances in order.
Start with making a budget (I like the tool YNAB), tracking your habits, and looking for places to reduce spending. I know that can mean squeezing blood from a stone, but even saving up gas money for a cross-country trip can move up your moving timeline.
You also want to start planning your moving expenses. For example, buying boxes, using a moving service, cost to service your car, calming meds for your pets, etc. Just make a spreadsheet and keep adding as you think of things. Have a rolling total and track against your savings.
Lastly, get your credit score in order. A free service like Credit Karma is fine, but as you get closer to having to apply for rent or a mortgage, sign up with each credit agency and pull your report. Get caught up on any delinquencies asap and do not miss any payments from now until you are moved - missed payments take the longest of ANYTHING to fall off your score.
If you've changed your legal name, make sure it matches with all the credit bureaus. If you feel responsible with credit, ask for a credit line increase every 6 months - that will help with your debt ratio if you are currently trying to pay down a balance. Plan a credit score timeline with a hard stop at least 2 months before you apply for a loan/rent -- after that, no more making any big purchases or applying for new cards. Try to have no more of 10% of your total credit line actually on your cards by the end of your timeline. Aka, if your line of credit is $1,000, you only want $100 on the cards.
2. Start paring down your stuff
Gt crafty hobbies? Stop adding to your stash. Stop it. Start getting rid of broken things, clothes that don't fit, stuff you don't see yourself using, or stuff that is cheaper to sell & buy at your new place, rather than pay to move. If this all feels hard, put the items you're questioning in a box now, and then open it next year and see how you feel. Don't buy anything you wouldn't want to move.
3. Start your research
Make lists of towns that look promising. See how their local government works. Check the local reddits and facebook groups to get the vibes. Make lists of "must haves" and "nice to haves" at the state, city, neighborhood, and even house level. Get an idea for what the cost of living will be in your new place. Decide what your deal-breakers will be.
4. Work on your job skills
Four years is a lot of time to improve yourself for a good salary hike. It's a lot of time to get marketable for remote jobs, which will broaden your opportunities to live where you want. If remote work interests you, start looking at job listings and note the requirements. Make a plan to be qualified within 3 years.
5. Make a bucket list of things to do in your current state
There must be some good things about your state. There were in mine. Afford yourself grace and do some fun things that you might not have the chance to do again when you move. Hang out especially with local friends and family you care about.
6. Keep an eye on what's happening wrt trans rights.
Follow trans pundits and your local trans rights orgs. Get in the habit of learning what's going down in your municipality, down to the school board level. Be prepared to have to adjust your moving timeline if shit hits the fan.
7. Stay on top of your healthcare and legal stuff
No passport yet? Apply now. Forgetful about getting your HRT renewed? Set reminders and work hard to stay on top of everything. As you get closer to moving, research healthcare options in your new home and get appointments lined up asap.
8. If you're selling & buying a house, be prepared for it to take nearly a year
Seriously, it can take forever for everything to work out. Work with realtors in your new state who specialize in remote sales & relocations. Start repairing your current place by year 3 and start packing months in advance of the final move.
tldr; Treat the next 4 years like you're at college and your degree is Getting the Hell Outta Dodge. Plan as much as you can with to-do lists and spreadsheets, with some kind of monthly goal at first, then weekly and daily goals as your move approaches. It can feel overwhelming, but knowing *now* that you are going to move means you can plan as much as possible and reduce the amount of panic-decisions.
Good luck!
#trans stuff#fwiw I knew in 2016 I wanted to move and I knew I had a ton of financial obstacles to overcome#it took me 8 years but also keep in mind I was dealing with the huge financial burden of escaping poverty#once shitty old delinquencies fell off my credit report I hit the ground running#in those 8 years I tripled my salary and became a remote worker#that gave me a lot of freedom for picking where to live#if you are moving with a partner delegate some things to them and then have regular check-ins#for example I handled getting out of FL and my partner handled finding a place to move *to*

♡ (Platonic) South park x reader - Your best friends! ♡
Aka; what it feels like being best friends with the South Park gang (featuring; the main 4, Butters)
~ Stan

- You were in a similar situation to him: bit of a troubled home life
- You got along with him and his friends ever since preschool, but you were much closer to him than the others
- Maybe it was his (usually) calm attitude or his similarities to you, you don't know
- Even after he moved to a farm, you come over to him to play video games or board games almost every second day
- Whenever he's feeling depressed, you try to comfort him to your best efforts
- His mother is always very glad to see you and to be honest you and Sharon kinda became friends along the years
- Not so much Randy or Shelley, though
~ Kyle

- Same situation as Stan, you knew him since preschool and always liked him
- Being his best friend, you're prone to getting picked on by Cartman
- ^ Very toned down compared to Kyle though (except if you're Jewish too)
- He lets you babysit Ike sometimes when he has basketball practice or something
- You have some kind of matching keychain, either related to Terrance and Phillip or your interest
- You study or do group projects together a lot
- ^ You may or may not tease him and call him a nerd the whole time, but he still enjoys hanging with you
- You still get As on them anyway (mostly thanks to Kyle)
~ Cartman

- OH BOY
- Being Cartman's best friend is a wild ride
- You're not protected from his insults, don't you even dare think so
- You are obligated to agree with him always, and he will get upset if you don't
- Hanging out with Cartman mostly consists of playing the newest video games while he stuffs himself full of cheesy poofs
- His mom really likes you, she's glad her son hasn't had a bad influence on you
- Liane will often make you treats and sometimes even talk to you about your day, she kinda acts like you're her child too
- You need to share all your stuff with him. Would you be surprised if I told you he doesn't share any of his?
~ Kenny

- You're never hanging at his house, nuh-uh
- You don't bully or shame your best friend for being the poor kid in town, but you can't help but agree with Cartman that his house is a dump
- He doesn't mind though, he's really glad he can get away from his parents bickering
- He will sometimes bring over Karen with him too, and you get along great
- You get him gifts and share your stuff with him very often (you get some things for Karen too if you have the money)
- You both like dressing up or creating costumes and playing pretend
- You assist each other in creating your outfits, with Kenny giving you advice and you getting him tools, decorations, fabric, etc.
~ Butters

- You started hanging out with Butters because you took pity on him after all the other kids ripped on him
- Turns out he's actually very nice and you became quick best friends
- He doesn't really like playing video games (except for Hello Kitty Island Adventure), so when you're hanging out you're usually outside or playing with toys
- You have your own villain persona to match Professor Chaos
- You did, infact, go with him to Hawaii that one time
- He'd rather go to your house than his, due to his absurdly strict father
- You lowkey have a whole dance routine set to the Loo Loo Loo song he always sings (not tapdancing though, he still has a lot of trauma from that)

A/N: It’s Family Day at Hard Deck Arena!
Previous Chapter // Series Masterlist // Next Chapter
“Javy, be careful, you don’t want to drop them!” You squawk as you follow Javy into the arena, narrowly dodging the giant duffel that swings behind him, holding his gear. You’d argued that he wouldn’t need it today, given that family day is mostly a free skate, but he said there was nothing wrong with being prepared. He’s got the heavy bag thrown casually over one shoulder, and he’s balancing the brownies, his water bottle, and his keys in his hands. You’re jogging to keep up, carrying your skates in one hand and Roxie in the other behind him. You’re not exactly ecstatic to show off your poor attempt at skating in front of all your new friends, but Javy’s been looking forward to this all week so you’re putting on a brave face for his sake.
Javy leads you to the break room where you’d first been introduced to the team to find it already occupied by a few guys and their families. You see wives, a few babies, and even a few toddlers and small kids running around. Javy sets the trays on some tables set up at the front of the room. You wince slightly as you take in a meticulously crafted charcuterie board and various trays of fancy-looking hors d'oeuvres that look straight out of Pinterest. Suddenly your brownies seem silly, out of place at what’s definitely much more of an adult event than you’d anticipated. They would be a lot more at home at a school bake sale.
“Hey,” you tear your gaze from the table to see Javy giving you a concerned look. “They’re perfect,” he says firmly, like he can read your mind. He reaches over to lace his fingers with yours. “Don’t worry about them,” he reassures you. “You’re not the one that misread the invite.” You're about to tell him that you don’t believe him but don’t get the chance as an arm is thrown around your shoulder, jostling you as a blonde head cranes over your shoulder.
“Oooo, what’d you two bring?” Jake asks as he scans the table. “Oh, fuck yes, brownies!” He whoops, reaching past you to grab a square. “Finally, some real food,” he grumbles around the brownie that made a beeline to his mouth. “Roadie these are the best, I’m so glad you could come!” The arm around your shoulders squeezes you in an awkward hug.
“Jake!” The three of you look up towards the voice to see Bugs frowning at him. She places her own trays down on the table as she shakes her head. “You have no self-control you know,” she chides as the frown dissolves. Jake gives her a chocolatey grin in response and she rolls her eyes.
“Oh, don’t worry, I made sure they were healthy. I know you and Penny work really hard on their dietary plans, so I tried to keep them as nutritious as possible.” You pipe up in an attempt to further dissolve the situation.
“Oh!” Bugs looks surprised and you wonder if you’ve made yet another blunder until the expression melts into a huge grin. “I was upset that he ran straight in here without me when I asked him to wait.” She gives Jake a pointed look and he has the good sense to look chagrined. “It wasn’t because of the brownies, I promise! He’s fine to eat brownies, they all are, but I really appreciate your attention to that concern. Anything helps, and I really appreciate it.”
“I’m sorry, Bunny, but I was just so excited to see my best friend,” Jake pouts at Bugs before giving you another squeeze.
“I thought I was your best friend,” Javy says with a playful scowl.
“Nah, you can’t cook for shit, I’m trading you in for Roadie.” He ruffles your hair gently as your cheeks heat in response.
“Javy helped make the brownies, actually. He did a whole tray himself.” You pipe up in support of your boyfriend and Javy sticks his tongue out at Jake.
“And they didn’t burn? Damn, Roadie, you really are a miracle worker.” He finally releases you from the hug, turning back to his girlfriend.
“Where are the dogs?” He asks and she puts her hands on her hips.
“Where do you think, mister? You ran straight in here without helping, they’re still in the truck. Hopefully, they’re destroying your seats as retribution.”
Jake disappears out the door with a muttered “fuck” under his breath and you swear you can see a tiny cartoon whoosh of smoke in his wake.
“Who’s the Roadrunner, now?” Bugs jokes and Javy chuckles as he heads out the door after his best friend. Roxie squirms in your arms and you set her down as Bugs uncovers a tray of what looks like bacon-wrapped shrimp. She follows your gaze and laughs nervously, “I know I’m supposed to be a better influence, but Jake insisted on them.” You wave her concern off.
“They look great,” you reassure her, glancing around for plates and napkins. “Do we have…” Bugs heaves a sigh, shaking her head as she scans the room.
“Bob and Dragon were supposed to bring that stuff, I expected them to be here by now.”
“I can run to the store,” you offer.
“No need,” a voice interrupts and the two of you turn to where Bradley enters the break room. Zam’s behind him, armed with grocery bags full of serving supplies.
“Rule number one, Bugs? If you want something done on time? Do it yourself. And never, NEVER, put the boys in charge of utensils.” Zam says as she sets the bags on the ground and starts unpacking them at one end of the table.
“Noted.” Bugs nods with a chuckle and barks echo down the hallway, signaling Jake’s return. Roxie perks up and heads out the door. You’re torn over chasing after her, but Javy should be with Jake.
Bradley’s looking towards the door with an uncomfortable expression on his face. “The dogs come to family day?” He mutters under his breath and Zam rolls her eyes, clapping him on the arm.
“What’s wrong, Bear? You afraid of a few dogs?” You can see the humor glinting in her eyes at Bradley’s discomfort.
“No,” he grumbles as the doorway explodes in a mass of fur. You don’t realize you’ve been hit until you’re staring at the ceiling, your face is being covered with slobber, a heavy weight settled on your chest. You let out a soundless gasp of surprise as your lungs heave at the squish on them. You hear some yelling before the weight alleviates and you’re catching your breath, still staring at the ceiling until a familiar wet nose nudges at your cheek, concerned.
“I’m okay, Roxie, it’s okay.” You assure the dachshund as you sit up, your head spinning slightly as you readjust.
“Meep, are you okay?” Javy sounds genuinely worried as he drops down next to you, a hand at your back supporting you. Jake looks guilty as he maintains a hold on the collar of a frankly enormous dog. She’s a gigantic mass of copper fur and her eyes are dancing between the excitement that bowled you over and confusion at being held back.
“She didn’t mean to hurt you, she just gets excited,” Jake apologizes and you wave him off.
“It’s okay, I’m fine. Just a little surprised is all.” You assure him as Javy runs a tentative finger over the back of your head, checking for a bump where you hit it on the ground. You wince as he presses on a particularly sensitive area and he waves Bugs over. She squats down on your other side. Taking over the prodding from Javy. “I’m fine, really. It’s just a little spot, I’m fine I swear.” You feel your cheeks heating in embarrassment from all the attention being brought to you.
“Why don’t you move this to your office, Bugs?” Bradley suggests, brown eyes meeting yours with a look of understanding. He comes over and offers you a hand up, carefully easing you to your feet. You squeeze his hand in thanks as Javy and Bugs lead you out of the room.
“Do you want me to carry you, Meep?” You wave him off.
“I’m fine, really.”
“Bugs you have to check her for a concussion.” Javy insists and Bugs nods, leading you to an examination room.
“I’ll take it from here, Javy, you head back.” He hesitates but Bugs isn’t going to budge so he eventually relents. When you enter the room, you feel a little silly taking a seat on the examination table.
“I don’t have a concussion,” you say as soon as Bugs closes the door. She turns to you with a smirk.
“Oh, I know. Those boys are just a bunch of big babies, so it’s best to indulge them.” She sits down on the stool across the room. “Well just hang out here for a bit and then go back.” She opens a drawer and pulls out a ziplock bag. “You want a gummy bear?” You take one and the two of you sit in silence for a moment. “Do you want some ice for your head? I know it’s nothing, but it could help with potential swelling.”
You shake your head. “It already feels fine. I was more surprised than hurt, honestly.”
Bugs heaves a sigh. “I’m always telling Jake he needs to keep Pudding on a leash, especially when he brings her here. She just gets so excited when she’s around people, especially new ones.” You nod in understanding.
“Thanks again for making the brownies, I really appreciate you putting in the thought to make them more healthy, and for actually making something fun. So many of the other WAGs just make cocktail food and forget that these guys play a game for a living. They have the collective maturity of a five-year-old.” The two of you giggle at that. “Honestly, that’s probably why you’re so good with Javy.” She points out. “You do this for a living.”
“I’d say he’s more like a puppy than anything else.” You admit. “He’s got good intentions, he’s just bad at showing it.”
“Thanks for being patient with him. I know it’s not easy, but you’re right, he’s a good guy at his core, you just have to be willing to spend the time to see it.” You smile at Bug’s words.
“I’m not exactly a cakewalk either,” you admit, thinking about how much of your antics Javy has had to put up with over the past few weeks.
Bugs shrugs and you see a faraway look in her eye. “None of us are, it’s what makes us people. All we have to do is find the right kind of people who're willing to handle all our bumps and bruises.” She’s right, you realize. You’d been so nervous to be yourself around Javy at first, trying your best to hide your fears and anxieties. And while they didn’t make you the easiest person to deal with, Javy had been nothing but patient with you. He literally rode through a panic attack with you on your first date. And by some miracle, he still wanted to be with you. There were plenty of people that would be easier for him to be with, and yet he’d chosen you. “Just because it’s difficult, it doesn't mean you’re not worth loving,” Bugs says, eyes soft. “Jake taught me that. And I’d bet that Zam taught Bradley that too. And if Javy’s not trying to show you that in his own roundabout way, then maybe he’s gone headfirst into the boards one too many times. I, for one, love having you as a part of our little family.” You feel your cheeks heat over Bugs’s sweet and heartfelt words.
“I’ve never really had a group of friends before,” it comes out less of a blurt and more of a quiet admission. “So it’s overwhelming, having so many people express interest in me all of a sudden. But just because I’m having trouble processing it, doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate it. You’ve all been so nice and welcoming and I really am thankful for you all.”
“This world is a lot for anyone,” Bugs says with a tired smile, “it’s hard enough without having to navigate it alone. That’s what draws everyone together, I think. The world of professional athletes can be so far removed, and the minute you get involved with one, whether that’s as a family member, a friend, or a partner, you’re dragged right along into that world whether you like it or not. Zam and I already work in this, but at least we had a choice when we decided to fully step into the spotlight. You didn’t get that choice. I can’t imagine how hard that must have been.”
You remember the horror in your stomach when you found out about the photos of you and Javy first went viral. You’d been sorely tempted to just call in sick for the rest of the day and lock yourself in your apartment for the rest of your days. Even after you’d started dating Javy, you’d found yourself constantly looking over your shoulder expecting photographers to have found you, desperate to pry open your personal life and expose it for the world to see. You were hyper-aware of the way people looked at you, from strangers at the grocery store to your coworkers to your students’ parents. You already went through your daily life fearing the attention and eyes of others, but your overnight exposure to the world had just amplified that. “It was, but all of you made it worth it,” you admit. “It felt like my world was ending for a second there, but having a support system really helped me get back on my feet. And sure, it’s not an ideal situation, but I’m never going to fault Javy for that. He’s doing what he loves and I know how that feels. There’s no better feeling. And this is just a small price to pay to have him, and all of you.”
Bugs’s smile is tender, “you really like him don’t you?”
You feel your cheeks heat in response as well as over the obvious word substitution that does little to diminish its weight in your mind, before nodding shyly. “Believe me, I’m just as surprised as anyone, but yeah, yeah I do.”
Before you Bugs can respond, a knock comes at the door to the office and Nat sticks her head into the room. “Sorry to break up the party, ladies. How’s your ‘concussion’ doing Roadie?” She rolls her eyes as she says this and you giggle waving off her concern.
“Nothing the curative properties of gummy bears and some girl talk can’t cure,” Bugs says as Nat lets herself in. She perches on Bugs’s desk, taking a gummy bear from the bag that Bugs holds out. “What’s up?”
Nat waggles her eyebrows suggestively, “There’s a dark and mysterious man asking for you in the break room.” Bugs’s eyes light up.
“Charlie! He actually came!” Nat’s eyes bug out of her head as she almost drops the gummy bear she has between her teeth.
“That broody hunk is your brother?” She asks, shocked. Bugs rolls her eyes.
“Keep that up, and I’ll tell him you said that,” she says pointedly and Nat’s cheeks pinken slightly, “I better go find him before Jake says something stupid to him,” she hurries back out into the hallway.
“So, Bugs’s brother?” You arch a curious eyebrow at Nat who rolls her eyes and chews her gummy bear loudly. When you don’t give up the look, she shrugs dramatically,
“In my defense, the family resemblance is not there. At least Bugs and Tucker look related!”
“And you think he’s cute?” You push and she barks out a laugh, shaking her head at you.
“Look at you, Little Miss Nosey, where’d she come from?” You shrug, a smile creeping up the corner of your mouth.
“I guess I just hang out with you too much,” you muse and she lets out a faux gasp.
“Roadie, how dare you!” The two of you explode into a fit of giggles.
“Okay, I’m fine, so let’s get back out there, I need to see your broody hunk,” you hold out your hand to Nat who lets out a groan.
“I hate you.”
“No, you don’t. Not really.”
“Here I was thinking you’d be able to fix Javy, and he just turned you into him.” She bemoans as you drag her towards the door to the office, rolling your eyes.
***
Nat manages to escape your hold and disappears into the labyrinth that’s the hallways of the arena so you find yourself walking around, enjoying the silence, and trying to familiarize yourself with the layout. Most people are floating between the break room where the food is set up and the rink itself as the first few people have started skating. You know you’ll have to head that way eventually, so you’re about to make your way in that direction when you remember that you wanted to try one of Javy’s brownies before they’re all gone. As you approach the room, you’re surprised to find it’s quiet. You must have lost track of time. You duck in, making a beeline to the snack table, planning to just duck in and grab the brownie before hurrying over to the rink to catch up with the others so you don’t see the figure in the corner until his voice catches you off guard.
“Roadie, thank goodness, help me, please.” You whip around, eyes wide in surprise, and you blink slowly as you take in Bradley’s desperate features where he’s seated in a corner by himself. You arch an eyebrow in question before his frantic eyes glance downward, guiding your gaze to where Jake and Bugs’s pitbull puppy, Taz, is draped over his shoe, looking up at him with blue eyes full of anticipation.
“Bradley you scared me, I didn’t think there was anyone still in here,” you make your way over to where he’s sitting, your brownie forgotten for the moment. “What’s wrong?” His face is pinched in distress but you can’t see what could be causing him discomfort. “Is it a muscle cramp or something? Should I get Bugs?” Your brows furrow in concern as Bradley’s eyes widen in horror at the suggestion.
“No, no you don’t need to get Bugs, I just…” his voice trails off and his gaze shifts again to the puppy lounging on his shoe. The tips of Bradley’s ears and the tops of his cheeks are starting to pinken. “Can you just,” he clears his throat as the pink starts to blossom into an embarrassed red. “Can you get it to move?”
“It?” You frown in confusion before you realize what he’s talking about. “Wait, Taz?” Bradley nods furiously even as his blush deepens. “What’s wrong, are you allergic or something?” You examine the red splotches on Bradley’s as he shakes his head.
“I just, I don’t… It won’t stop following me.” You have to hold in the surprised laugh that bubbles up in your throat. “Ever since it got here, it’s been following me. And then I sat down and now I can’t get up.” You purse your lips together to hide the smile threatening to split across your face. Bradley’s a big guy, one of, if not the biggest guy on the team. You’ve watched him shove other men his size around like they’re nothing, and here he is, glued to his seat by a puppy not much bigger than his hand that’s lying on his foot.
“So you just want me to get him to move?” You ask and Braldey nods furiously. You squat down then, reaching out to scratch the tiny puppy’s head. He rolls over onto his back, still draped over Bradley’s shoe and you scoop him up into your arms effortlessly. As dogs go, the Seresin dogs are some of the sweetest that you’ve met. They wouldn’t hurt a fly. “There you go, big guy,” you coo at Taz. “You want to hang out with me for a little bit? I think Bradley needs a break.” The puppy squirms in your arms, tail wagging as he licks at your cheeks enthusiastically. You turn back to Bradley as Taz gets comfortable, “consider yourself a free man,” you say and he gives you a thankful look. “So you’re not a dog person, huh?”
You think you see him try to suppress a shudder. “Not really, no. I was raised by a single mom so between her job and having to race me around to hockey stuff, we didn’t really have time for pets.”
You nod. “My parents didn’t like pets, either. I had fish a few times growing up, but nothing bigger than that. Puppies are just big softies, though. They just want love,” you pause to kiss Taz on his tiny forehead. “So no dogs, how about other animals?”
Bradley shrugs, “I don’t mind cats. My godmother has one, but I think he’s still warming up to me. He doesn’t really like anyone except her. Bob has a cat too, but she’s terrifying. She’s one of those breeds that’s huge, so she doesn’t really feel like a cat. So, I don’t mind cats, but I’m not sure they like me.”
“Have you tried not frowning at them?” He gives you a look of surprise like hadn’t expected you to crack a joke but you just shrug and give him a small smile.
“What’s that got to do with anything?”
“Animals are extremely aware of our emotions, so if you frown at them, they probably don’t think of you as a friend.” Bradley considers your words for a moment before nodding curtly.
“I’ll try it.” Your smile widens softly.
“Can I ask you another question?” You ask carefully. You haven’t had a whole lot of chances to get to know Javy’s defense partner and something’s been bothering you for a while now. Bradley gives you a wary nod.
“Why don’t you and Javy get along?” Bradley lets out a heavy sigh and you feel nerves twist in your stomach. Maybe you should have just asked Javy, but you wanted to get both sides of the story. “Sorry if I’m putting my nose where it doesn’t belong, but you’re partners, right? I’d think that would be easier if you were friends.” It sounds so childish when you say it out loud but you spend every day helping kids with conflict resolution, so you can’t help but want to help Javy and Bradley with this. You know Javy’s a good guy and you get the feeling that his brooding partner isn’t much different.
“No, you’re right.” Bradley sighs deeply. “We should be closer. I try not to let it affect the way I play, but I don’t think I’m as good at it as I think I am.” You nod, silently encouraging him to continue. “I’ve been in this league a long time, twelve years. And even before that, I’ve been playing hockey as long as I can remember, and I’ve seen a hundred guys like Javy. They let the power the world gives them get to their head. They live life like they’re untouchable like there won’t ever be consequences to their actions, even when they play a game where there always is.” He has a good point. When you’d first been introduced to them, you’d been perplexed by the concept of penalties, power-plays, and penalty kills, but as rough-and-tumble as hockey is, there are consequences to a player’s actions that directly affect the outcome of the game. “And while I’ve seen some guys get off scot-free, I’ve also seen guys who get burned and burned bad. They ruin their lives or worse, ruin someone else’s and walk away unscathed.”
“When I was playing in Philadelphia, we had this rookie join the team. And these rookies, they’re these 18-year-old, fresh-faced kids who get handed a salary that’s more money than they know what to do with and get thrust into a world where they’re essentially celebrities. They have money, they have power, and they run around like a kid in a candy store, testing the limits of those things. Anyway, this kid, he’d been a hotshot in college and it wasn’t a matter of whether he got drafted to the NHL, just a matter of what team. He had an ego the size of a truck and didn’t have a lick of sense in his head.” Bradley chuckles, his voice sounding almost fond.
“My coach knew that, however, and he had this kid move in with me. And I hated him. He was so young and fresh and I didn’t want to have to come home after a long day and play parent. And yet, I did. It wasn’t easy, but I managed to wrangle him and get some sense in his head. It wasn’t easy by any means. There were even nights that I locked him out of the house for staying out too late, and it started affecting the locker room. And of course, he tried tattling to the coaches. I thought it was over for me, honestly. Coach called me into his office one day and I thought I was getting traded or something, but instead, he thanked me. He said ‘he doesn’t appreciate it now, but he has no idea how good he has it.’ He was right of course. We worked things out, eventually.” Bradley pauses, a soft smile on his lips. “And now he’s one of my best friends.” You smile too and you can see the fondness in Bradley’s eyes. “You know, just the other day he called me and he said he asked our coach if he could take in one of the rookies next year.”
“So that’s why you’re tough on Javy?” You ask, softly. He nods, turning to look at you.
“I know he’s a good guy, even if I don’t show it. And he’s a good player, better than me, but he’s not going to change if I tell him that.” You nod in understanding. “Well, that, and he won’t stop flirting with my girlfriend.” Bradley scowls and you laugh at that. “I know he doesn’t mean anything by it, but it still pisses me off.”
“That’s fair. The player you were talking about, what’s his name?”
“Wyatt Eaton, he still plays for Philadelphia. You’ll probably get a chance to meet him the next time the Flyers come to town.”
“I’d love that,” you say and Bradley returns your smile.
“You've been good for him,” Bradley says and you feel your cheeks heat at the compliment. “I still stand by the fact that you deserve someone better than him, but as long as you’re happy, I’m rooting for the two of you.” You smile shyly, bumping your shoulder against his.
“I am. Thanks, Bradley. And thanks for taking care of Javy, I really appreciate it.” He just nods in response. “We should probably get to the rink. Can you grab me a brownie? I want to make sure I get one of Javy’s before they’re gone, and my hands are kind of full.” Bradley goes over to the snack table and you follow still carrying Taz.
“So Javy actually made these?” He sounds suspicious.
“Under my supervision, don’t worry, but yeah he did.” You can’t help the pride in your voice as Bradley cuts off two pieces, wrapping one in a napkin before biting into the other. Your stomach drops as you wait for his reaction. He hums thoughtfully, nodding quietly.
“Not bad, Machado, not bad.” He says and you grin. “Alright, let’s go.”
***
When the two of you make it to the rink, you see that most people are already skating. You see the guys cheering as Zam skates gracefully across the ice, jumping and spinning with the practiced perfection of a figure skater. Bradley’s eyes are on her the moment you enter the rink, a smile on his lips whether he realizes it or not. You deposit Taz where Pudding and Roxie are lying together in the visitors’ bench area before coming back to where Bradley’s pulling on his skates with a practiced ease you’re slightly jealous of. You sit down on the bench next to him, reaching for your skates that Javy already brought over. They still feel clunky as you awkwardly shove your feet into them. You’re sure they’ll be better once you break them in.
Bradley’s voice startles you, “Machado, stop gawking and come help your girl.” Your cheeks heat as Javy’s head whips around and then he’s whizzing towards the bench.
“Meep! You made it!” You’re still shocked by how easily he swings himself over the boards instead of using the tiny door at one end. “Here, let me help!” He drops to his knees in front of you and your cheeks heat in embarrassment.
“I can do it, Javy,” you try to protest but he just gives you a sweet grin.
“I know, but I want to.” Well, who are you to stop him, then? You awkwardly wait as he guides your feet into the skates and laces them up like he did last time. “Alright, Meep,” he claps a hand on your ankle, “you ready for this?” His tone is jovial but his eyes are cautious, searching yours for doubts. You swallow hard, trying to banish the butterflies from your stomach.
“You won’t let me fall, right?” You whisper and Javy’s smile softens.
“Never,” you nod, then, holding out your hands to him.
“Okay, I’m ready.” He stands, then, carefully helping you to your feet before guiding you to hold onto the boards while he swings over and then he holds your hands as you clomp over to the tiny door and nudge it open with your hip. Your legs wobble as you step onto the ice. Whoops and cheers explode from the other side of the rink and you look up to see your friends watching you. Nat skates over, face beaming.
“Roadie, you made it! Look at you!” Her excitement is infectious and you find yourself smiling. She holds out her hand you give her one of yours so now you’re anchored between her and Javy. They lead you as you skate over to the others.
“Looking good, Roadie!” Jake calls out as you reach the group where they're waiting for you.
“You’re looking much better than I was the first time I tried,” Josie points out, pride shining in her eyes. “I fell on my face in front of all of Reuben’s friends because I got cocky.” She winces at the memory.
“Yeah, Roadie, you’re a natural!” Zam pipes up. “You’re sure you haven’t skated before?” You shake your head.
“Not before last time, no.”
As you chat with the others and catch up as you skate along with them, holding Javy’s hand in yours, you feel your self-consciousness slowly start to melt away with all the kind words and camaraderie. Bugs was right, this community is important. You were right too, as hard as the past month has been for you, it was worth it to have a group of friends like this. They were more than just friends, this felt like a family and you were glad to have it.
A/N: Well now I miss the Philly boys 😭

So I have had this bnha brainworm a while now, so sharing this in hope that it will stop taking over my every waking moment.
Someone seeing Izuku interacting with the vestiges, and first they think he's just talking to air, but the vestiges are able to do small things, like move things, affect the temperature, which ends up making them convinced that Izuku is a medium, no matter how much he protests. Words spread around and other students come asking for him to contact this and that person for them, expect him to have and use a ouija board, have ghostly powers etc.
Shouta is the biggest shit-stirrer about the situation, as long as he doesn't have to be the one to deal with it. Terrorizing people is a fun friday night for him, but he won't actually touch the situation with a ten-foot pole.
Izuku: P-Please, I only have very specific ghosts
Everyone Else: Tell us your occult secrets broccoli boi
Aizawa: *clapping Izuku on the back* Wow kid your entire situation is so fucked up
Aizawa: Glad you're not my responsiblity

The Well - Doctor Who series 15 episode 3
The Doctor making promises, ooooh. That always goes well, isn't it.
Britney feat! Yey. Was it Toxic already with Nine and Rose or was it Baby one more time? But anyway. Britney is eternal.
I already know this is related to Midnight (creepiest DW ep ever) but this planet also looks a lot like the planet in Utopia where Ten, Martha and Jack meet Simm!Master. Creepy dark rocky planets where danger can hide behind any cliff face.
Hope is irrelevant versus the Doctor working solely on hope to get Belinda home. Something something rebellions are built on hope something something RTD is still talking directly to us. Also I should catch up on Andor before I get spoiled too.
Because I got spoiled, I already know that Aliss being deaf/hoh is super important to the plot. But meanwhile can we take a moment to cheer for not only the Doctor knowing sign language (everybody should learn sign language), but also the troopers having devices in their suit that allow them to speak to Aliss? Hell yeah.
The way Aliss's face just changed after she said that's so kind. What is that. Fear? Relief ? Nerves ? Or something more sinister and the Doctor and Cassio are right to be wary?
Yeah, I would NOT have restarted the machines, Shaya. Edit: okay, it didn't have any incidence because the creature was already out, but still.
Alrightyyyy, Earth has been obliterated from all of time and space then. Alongside humans. Even though all these people from different planets are all human-like in appearance. Huh. That's going to be fun. Timey wimey, etc.
And Belinda is seeing things... Great. I'm starting to get freaked out now.
Very freaked out. First it mimicked and that was scary as hell. I'm still not over Sky. Now it's hiding and not leaving your back. My anxiety is sky-rocketing.
Cassio is going to get everyone kiiiiiilled. Boyo. You're making things worse...
Yep. He's getting all his troopers annihilated. Fun times.
Well that was great. I'm shaking.
THE SHADOW ON ALISS' SHOULDER AND THE DOCTOR'S ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED AND SHOCKED FACE, HI, I'M TERRIFIED. And those whisperings!!!! Absolutely scary. Don't like that, nuh-uh.
But that whole scene with the Doctor addressing the thing behind was magnificent. Ncuti's acting as always is sublime. With Murray Gold's gorgeous soundtrack and the seriously beautiful images... (yes, the image is a bit too smooth and that's due to D*sney's budget, it's very different from good ol' kitsch and grainy Doctor Who, but that's something that's not just inherently annoying to the show, but to the entire tv/movie industry of the moment - that's an entire other commentary to make and it's not the point right now)
There's 10 minutes left. It can't end just like that. Something is coming. Yep, there it is. For a moment I thought all the people in the airlock had been killed, I'm super glad that's not the case and the only (ha) thing is that the creature is with them.
Shaya is going to sacrfice herself, I'm calling it. Yep. There it is.
OH, COME THE FUCK ON, what the hell is Mrs Flood doing here now???? Is she helping or is she hindering? What's her purpose? Her story? Her real identity?
Someone gives Mo a big hug. Oh for fuck's sake please tell me the thing didn't make it on-board their ship. This would be extremely bad news. Welp. Guess we won't know and that makes this episode join the list of other episodes with a worryingly open ending like that Twelfth/Clara episode The Sandman. Yey. So many storylines ending with a galactic threat that are never revisited.
Shaya enters directly in the top 10 of amazing one-time characters who deserved better. Love her.

I feel like Octavinelle would all respond pretty well to you being lonely tbh
Azul: Bullied, lonely child? Only two friends made because he was "fun" enough and felt at risk of losing them? If you talk about being lonely he MIGHT bring up a contract, but I could also see your honesty being met by the most clumsy olive branch of him stammering that HE could be your friend... since hes so generous, of course (liar he wants a friend too)
Floyd: What?! That's no fun! Being lonely almost as bad as being bored! He kind of thrives on attention/entertainment so I feel like his solution is just to drag you wherever he goes. YOU have to be the one to say that no, you have to go to your own class not his.
Jade: While I do think he would be most manipulative if you told him you're lonely, I think it would be tame - akin to "hey eat this weird mushroom" or dragging you on a hike you are NOT experienced enough for as his "requirements" for companionship. He wouldn't stop hanging out if you refused, he really just likes seeing your reactions. I also don't think he'd ever kick you out of a room he's in, and he'd do his own thing while you do yours
I'm so glad you sent this because I was just thinking while I was settling to sleep that I had a lot more to say but was worried a separate post might be too much.
All Three
If there is one thing Twisted Wonderland does really well it's acknowledging the inhuman aspects of its characters. Malleus has so much magic he fails to solve problems without it, Ruggie has really sensitive hearing, Leona talks about smell a lot etc.
Point being the trio has a bunch of things they find weird about life on land. They're not really going to make fun of Yuu for feeling out of place. Assuming they don't trip and fall a whole bunch, that's just too easy.
They're technically new up here too yeah? Let them show you the ropes.
Azul
He's surprisingly soft with Yuu during events. Especially if you pick dialogue options that show intelligence or planning.

^ this happens if you get why he's selling salad cups I think?

^ and this one is if you assume you'll be using the bell of salvation to destroy the flowers
My one amendment to your idea is that I don't think he'd be shy about it at all. He'd be putting forward a show of confidence because of how he was slighted in the past. He would think your friendship was the most natural conclusion in the whole world.
Your smart. He's smarter. Together you could make some real magic! And maybe play some board games. He could use some time to relax.
Floyd
Completely right. I already talked a lot about him in my original answer, but I do think he enjoys hanging out with Yuu when he's in the mood to be social.

He's got all of that extrovert energy Idia's so afraid of, and if you start indulging him, you won't get to stop. I think he'd be really happy to have someone go along with what it is he wants to do no matter how outlandish it gets. Even better if you look like you're having fun!
I could see him say that you "owe him" for hanging out with you when he wants some of your food though.

Jade
Oh? You're lonely? What a shame. How horrible. Terrible really.
That must mean you'll have no problem signing up for his club right? Because that's very much what I could see him doing. He really wants another member to order arou- I mean enjoy the mountains with.

^ If you tell Epel you will be "Here for whatever [the team] needs." When he asks you to help run the Pit Stop, Jade immediately decides this means you will commit a crime for him. Which to be fair-
I would object to the bit about taking you on a hike you're unqualified for though. He tells you not to try climbing Mount Moln until you've done an easier one first.

Obviously I agree about the sketchy mushrooms. If he's brave enough to walk into the Culinary Crucible with them, what's Ramshackle?
Him coming to the Ramshackle guest room to sit quietly while you both do your own thing is something he'd really enjoy. You make much more interesting faces when he gives you a break from his teasing.

HEAR ME OUT
It’s just you in your room and Khonshu shows up and pent up and wants to do something now. But is also upset (for whatever reason) so he makes you finger your self on your bed and just watches you while rubbing himself through his lines and talks you through it, then after your first 0rgasm he’s just suddenly right in front of you and begins too overstimulate you by fingering you and degrading you for listening to him so easily and calling you his dirty little bug🫶🤭
Take It
Pairing: Khonshu x AFAB!Reader
Warnings: SMUT, dirty talking, fingering, overstimulating, name calling (dirty little bug, slut, etc.)
Word Count: 2735
Summary: In a fit of rage, the god appears in your room while you're in the middle of reading. Used to this behavior, you don't act different until he orders you to strip. He's tense and needs release.
Author Note: I sent a screenshot of this to my bestie. The two of us were freaking out because this is fucking gold! Thank you for being my first ask on this blog! I'm glad to see you return as well

Ao3
Air swirled harshly around your lax form reading on the bed. After the countless times the god has appeared in your room time and time again, you’ve grown accustomed to this. Your eyes don’t leave the entertaining pages before you.
A cold hand encases your bare ankle and yanked you closer to the foot of your bed. The yelp that left your lips couldn’t be helped. Your eyes snapped to the imposing ancient Egyptian god that stood your room. A glare was easily set on his tattered form. “What is wrong with you?” you snarked before shaking your head. “Don’t answer that. I know: it’s a lot.”
His grasp let go of your ankle. Khonshu, known for being the god of the moon, towered in over your form. Despite having no muscles and only cloth to make up his frame, he held himself tensely. His hands were balled into fists at his sides; shoulders slightly bunched up; and he just stood there, looking at you. As if one more wrong thing could send him into a frenzy.
It was a sight you were familiar with. Dealing with Khonshu was a full-time job that was unpaid.
Despite having a hate-love relationship with the dead bird god, that didn’t stop you from being concerned about him. The book in hand was marked then set to the side, on the nearby nightstand. You go to sit up on your knees when the god finally spoke up.
“Don’t move,” Khonshu barked, body growing even tenser. You turned your head to the side and looked at him suspiciously. The god took a step back and rested a hand on the end board of your bed. The walls of your room not tall enough to allow him full freedom to stand tall.
The metal creaked precariously under his massive, lithe hands. “Strip.” Your head jolted yet your thighs clenched together.
“Excuse me?” you sputtered with your lips parting afterwards. His hand tightened again. Khonshu took a step forward to further crowd into your space. His long beak surging passed any boundaries. The soulless, empty sockets of the skull of his head bore holes into your head.
“I said strip,” he growled, voice ringing in your head. The lump in your throat was hard to swallow. Your tongue darted out and coated your dry lips. “Don’t make me say it again.” Your whole body shuttered.
Timidly, you reached for the hem of your shirt before finding somewhere else to look at. The fabric was pulled over your head and tossed to the side.
Khonshu hummed. “Don’t stop.” Like the good follower of the moon god you are, you listened to his demands. The rest of your clothing is pulled off and thrown off to the side of the bed. He observed the entire time, enjoying the exposed skin you relented to him.
This wasn’t the first time you’ve been naked before the god. Like mentioned before, you had a love-hate relationship with him. Both sides of the coin included letting him use you for his own pleasure. A life you enjoyed with little complaint.
“Scoot back, up against the headboard, little bug,” he ordered and stepped back, hand leaving the end board. Timidly, you followed the instructions and used the pillows as a comfortable rest and barrier from the cool material. Throughout the times you’ve done this with him, you kept your legs closed with anxiety driving you. His never-ending gaze caused your heart to flutter like the wings of a bird.
The god himself sat himself down in the only chair in your bedroom, legs spread wide. His imposing frame purposefully taking in all the space it could.
One of his legs was jutting out while the other was bent at the knee. An elbow was perched on the armrest at an acute angle, wrist hanging loosely. His other arm hung loosely off the other armrest, palm touching his thigh. A relaxed form for the god who looked ready to tear into something less than two minutes ago.
His long beak tilted up and slightly to the side to show off his nonexistent throat. “Look at you,” he mused. If his face wasn’t stagnant, you believed a carefree smirk would be etched into his features. With his arm jutting into the air, he lazily wiggled his pointer finger side to side at you. “Open those legs for me.”
You bite at your bottom lip then let your legs spread open. “A sight for sore eyes,” Khonshu groaned and shifted his hips. You sucked in a quick breath at the sight and had to stop yourself from mewling at the move.
But the god noticed the way your empty pussy clenched and chuckled lowly. His voice continuously swirling inside of your head. “Touch your clit, little one.” This side of Khonshu wasn’t what you were used to but fuck, you felt your body heat up at it.
One of your hands drifted between your spread legs and pressed against your clit. It throbbed against your fingertips. You leaned your head back and started to softly rub circles.
“Did I say move?” Khonshu growled and leaned forward in his seat. You whined and gave the god a frown, hand stilling. “Pout all you want, slut. Only I get to tell you what to do.” The god scoffed and returned his relaxed posture from before.
With that same finger pointing in your general direction, he used two to show a spreading movement. “Spread more. I want to see every little flutter, every little throb.” You huffed but listened to him, letting your legs open further for his gaze.
A cool breeze drifted over your exposed moist labia. You shuttered, thighs tensing. “Poor thing, already getting wet all because of my words. Isn’t that right, little bug?” All you could do was nod softly. He dipped his massive skull. “Now, you may play with your clit. Go slowly, light pressure.”
Now with permission, you started an even pace. Your walls constructed for a moment at the new source of pleasure. You groaned and rested your head back against the headboard. It offered relief to the building lust in the pit of your stomach.
You knew what to do. The movements familiar and memory this long into your life. The way you flicked your wrist into perfect motion, albeit slower than you would like.
More of your arousal began shine in the low light of the room at the beginning of your entrance. “Stop.” In the haze of your pleasure, you didn’t realize he had even said anything to you the first time. “I said stop!” You jolted and removed your hand unwillingly with a mewl. Your clit flutter, demanding for you return to your former movements.
Slightly dazed, you eyed the god still in his chair, position barely even changed. The hand on his thigh had slide up further to rest close to where his thighs meets his waist. “With one finger, push into that tight little cunt,” he instructed.
Happily, you followed through with just your middle finger entering you. The simply yet obscene noise had you whining, but you knew it wouldn’t be enough. The god had ruined you since the first time he drove into you. You looked at him with sweet doe-eyes and silently pleaded for more.
“Hm, look how good you take it,” he groaned. His hand slid up only a couple more inches and cupped a lump under the wrappings that covered his form. It took you longer than you would have admitted to realize he was palming himself. Your walls pulsed around the finger buried into your soaked cunt. “Feels good, doesn’t it?”
All you could offer was a mewl. The god tsked. “Use your thumb to rub at your clit and curl your middle finger. Find your g-spot.”
Instantly, you listened, desperate for whatever he allowed. Your finger curled deep inside of you and easily found that spongy spot. A shock of pleasure was sent up your spine to dwell in the pit of stomach. “Oh, fuck,” you moaned and used your thumb to draw tight circles around your engorged clit. It pulsed against your thumbpad.
Your jaw dropped with airily, breathless pants and whines. Clear, stick arousal freely drips from your slightly filled entrance and rolls down the swell of your ass cheeks before soaking into the bedsheets. Your other hand trembled on the mattress, gripping the blankets tightly.
Involuntarily, you couldn’t control your hips squirming, trying to add fuel to the growing embers. “Stay still, don’t move your hips,” Khonshu growled, voice huskier than before. You reopened your eyes and find the god rubbing at his clothed cock. It strained for release. You could imagine the feel of it. The head popping past your labia and stretching your walls to accommodate him all over again. The way the tip slammed against your cervix at each hard thrust, trying to fight every inch inside your smaller body.
The hand on the bed slapped against your mouth, sealing the whimpers beginning to spill freely from your loose lips. You locked your teeth down on a knuckle as the pleasure began to build further in the pits of stomach.
“Let me hear you. Don’t you dare hide anything from me, little bug!” the god snarled and was on the verge of leaping from his seat to tear your hand from your mouth. His free palm slammed against the armrest, balled into a fist. He continued to rub himself harder, using the heel of his hand.
Your unfocused eyes found the empty, dark sockets of his. The knuckle fell away to rest on your thigh. Khonshu growled and grabbed the end of the armrest righter. “Don’t stop. Keep going. Just like that. Look at all that mess. So messy,” he rambled and stayed leaning forward, ready to leap to action.
A strewn of whines and mewl filled the rooms vacant air as you grew closer, velvet walls tightening around your single finger. “Feels-“ he groans “-good doesn’t it?” Your toes begin to curl, legs growing taunt. “I want to see you, watch you come just at the sound of my voice, little one.” You do your best to keep your eyes on the tense god before you. Anything to please him.
“You going to come, sweet little mortal?” his voice echoes inside of your head, bouncing off of the walls. You rapidly nodded your head and couldn’t help but fasten your fingers, needing quicker movements. He doesn’t stop you, watching as your head pitched back with a cry of his name.
The soft, ribbed walls of your pussy constricted around your finger, locking down on the intrusion. They begin to flutter, like bird wings. You rubbed fiercely at that spongy spot just shy of your entrance, inside of you.
As the crescendo helped drag your mind back to the depths of your body, you felt large, lithe hands wrapped around your wrist. Your digit was pulled free, only connected with a clear strong of your slick for a moment before it was laid to rest at your side. A whine pulled free from your throat, eyes flickering open. You gasped at the imposing form of Khonshu kneeling on the bed, between your spread legs. “Khonshu?” you whispered his name after moments ago screaming it to his fellow gods.
He didn’t answer and cupped your sex, easily dwarfing it in his palm. Still in the downfall of your orgasm, you yelped but jerked your hips up to gain friction. His other hand entered your vision and took hold of your hip, now pinned to the mattress.
Two fingers prodded at your dripping folds before pushing in. Your head smacked against the headboard but the pain was brushed to the side. The digits press against your cervix before they were pulled out enough to touch at your G-spot only an inch or two passed your labia.
Pleasure filled your veins, turning your mind slowly into slush at the sudden stimulation. You were still trying to reel yourself in from the last orgasm. “You’re so wet, little bug. All just from me telling you to fuck yourself with your fingers. Such a dirty little bug listening to their god,” he purred inside of your mind. His voice velvet in the depths of your brain.
The hand that had brought you to your first orgasm shakily wrapped around his thin wrist for support. Khonshu continued to fuck you with two of his fingers, stretching you more than what any of your own digits could. “You take my fingers so well. I’ve ruined you for any mortal. You’re all mine, little mortal. All mine to ruin and dirty.” Your cunt fluttered again. “Such a dirty little bug liking me destroying you.”
You panted and tried to thrust your hips up for more, anything to drag his fingers deeper into you. “Please, Khon. More, more,” you pleaded the god of the moon, eyes hazing over, pupils blown wide. None of the iris able to peek through in the low light.
Khonshu chuckled, vibrating your mind. “Such a slut, begging for more.” This own thumb covered the entirety of your engorged clit and pressed against the sensitive nub. You gasped and shuttered at the tingling feeling overestimating your nerves. Your hand tightened. Khonshu scoffed. “You asked for it. Now, you’re going to take what I give.”
Once more, you clenched down on him. He gave a particular hard thrust of his digits into you g-spot that had trying to lift off of the bed. He just laughed then started to rub circles on clit.
The texture of the cloth that encased his body dragged across the sensitive flesh of your nub. You whined and attempted to pull at his wrist. But the god was situated where he wanted to be.
He continued onward and picked up a pace that had you squirming wildly underneath him. It was to the point he used his own legs to pin down yours to control your lower half. “You’re going to take what I give,” he reiterated.
The overstimulation created arcs of electricity across your skin, making your entire body not only feel alive but on fire. One of your hands clawed and fisted the bedsheets, desperate for purchase the closer you got to exploding.
Your nerves had been burned, filled with too much energy than they could handle. Like the pleasure, you consumed the pain all the same, wanting more. “Dirty little bug, letting a god ruin them, fucking them with his fingers.”
White blinded you as you screamed out a pathetic cry and arched your back. Khonshu did not stop. He used his fingers to draw your orgasm out as long as possible. Your nerves were lit on fire, burning fiercely just under your skin. They were being rubbed raw, bare for him to play with as he pleases. Your screams began to turn into whimpers and mewls. You fell flat back to the bed in heap of mush and ecstasy.
Khonshu finally relented when your body gave its last shuttered. His thin digits were pulled free from the depths of you used cunt. You twitched one more time. He held up his hand and spread his two fingers apart. They were connected at the tips by a clear, sticky string of your slick. “One of these days, I’ll take a mortal form so I can taste your sweet essence,” he muttered more to himself than the room.
Tiredly, you huffed through your nose and looked at him, eyes still dazed over. Khonshu leaned over and cupped your cheek in his clean hand. “You did so well for me, my little dirty bug,” he whispered and pressed the tip of his beak to your forehead. You smiled weakly at him.
“Are you going to tell me what had you in a tissy when you arrived?” you asked him in a soft voice and nuzzled into his palm. The god shook his head.
“Nothing you need to worry that pretty little head over. God issues,” he stated then reached over, pulling a towel hanging from end board of the bed. The god carefully used it to clean off the inside of your thighs and his fingers. He pecked your forehead again. “Till we meet again, my dear mortal.” Then, in rush of wind, the god was gone from sight.

Okay so scenario what if ata, Vivien’s and Noelle’s darlings only have a sleep over with each other but there yanderes are not invited because they only wanted to spend time with there friends what would they do exactly? (Sorry if I made any spelling mistakes also I really like your work it is incredible)
No, you did great :) I'm glad you like my characters, it makes me really happy to write them for you guys.
Vivien doesn't like it. You don't want him? Where is he supposed to go? He will miss you so much, it's better to let him stay. It takes a lot of reassurance that you love him and you won't be leaving him and you just want a little time to spend with your friends. After this reassurance, he's kinda okay. To make himself feel better, he throws himself into preparing things for your little intimate get-together. He mixes some of his signature fruity mocktails, makes a charcuterie board, and bakes something sweet. When the time comes, he politely greets your friends and leaves when you give him a look. He tries to go on a bike ride but he cannot stop thinking about you so he doubles back and spends the evening outside the apartment building, too anxious to go farther than 100 feet. If you let him back inside to sleep, he swears he will stay in the bedroom like a good boy and not bother you and he actually follows through. He just feels better when you're with him.
Atalanta says sure. She doesn't mind if you have a little sleepover with your friends as long as it's inside the penthouse, your friends are thoroughly vetted by her, and several bodyguards are protecting you. She actually wants you to have fun with your friends, she knows it's good for you. As long as you still leave the majority of time for her, you can happily hang with your friends. If she comes home during the sleepover, she will come see you to give you a hug and kiss (non-negotiable), politely greet your friends, and spend the night in the bedroom or her study, giving you the space you need.
Noelle is annoyed. She doesn't like having people in her house, but she guesses this is a bit better than you leaving. She is not happy about it, but she tries to hide it with her normal stoic demeanor. When the day comes, she gives you A TON of strict rules like no drinking, no drugs, nothing inappropriate, etc etc etc, but she eventually vacates the apartment to go back to work. There, she pulls up her camera footage of the apartment and she watches the entire sleepover. This way you both get what you want; You get some "private" time with your friends and Noelle gets to watch over you and protect you. Later, after your friends leave, she will ask leading questions about what you did, wanting both to hear you talk happily and also to see if you lie to her. If you're good and tell the truth, a present will be delivered sometime this week, something like hobby supplies or flowers or dessert. If you lie to her, she will be displeased and you may find that the next time you plan to go outside (rare) is canceled.
