I'd listen to you ramble about Sunstreaker. Because I know nothing about him but you seem to like him and that made me curious.

hi i am so terribly sorry to be replying so late, mental health is a bitch lately but heres my questionably comprehensive rambling about Sunstreaker

He's a very simple character compared to like majority of main autobots from g1, he's a vain pretty boy who thinks he's better and prettier than everyone around him, which is not even exactly untrue, but you're not really gonna go and tell him he's wrong. it's been a staple of his persona throughout all the stories he's appeared in to my knowledge. my interest especially arose when he was a central piece of some idw comics.

i made a whole small piece of writing about him months back, but essentially, what i gathered from very little he has in a whole scope of things, is that he was not a good person. period. he was a law enforcer who fancied watching mechs fight to death. he wanted to join megatron on the arena. he's lavishing in the limelight and he's not unwilling to stomp down anyone who doesn't meet his expectations. that "someone" happened to be his own brother who stopped him from joining megatron.

i always find sibling dramas interesting for personal reasons, and i relate to sunstreaker a lot as a person who had to learn to grow and be better, not just everyone but my sibling first. sunstreaker underwent an extremely traumatic experience that was worse than death - but you could also consider it the death of "Him" as a person. he was merged with a species completely unlike his own. he was forced to be connected to the copies of him while immobilized and in pain. he begged to be killed only to be forcefully saved.

his grudge against humanity is understandable, and his betrayal was something that could've been the end of his dignity. he was ready to accept death in self-sacrifice, still in pain and turmoil over what he had done to his team, to his brother.

he's the kind of character who you aren't supposed to really like. he's not a good person, even if his intentions are for the better - he's doing it to stroke his ego, the autobot cause is not what he ultimately fights for, or fought, at least how i see it. compared to his brother, though, who's there just to fight decepticons because they're "bad guys", i think Sunstreaker saw the lines between "bad" and "good" more blurry. He almost became a decepticon. He was regularly cruel to his brother. He values his self more than others.

Then he had to grow to understand He is not where the world ends. He always cared for Sideswipe, he always cared for people around him, but it took him to almost die, almost risk everyone dying, to understand, and it sucks.

He's a martyr to me in a way that he endures all his heavy self and burdens when trying to be better while world will never be the safe place to him. He gets a service dog about it.

Anyway i think his design is also one of the coolest things ever have you seen him

I always like making OC’s, it’s fun. Ever since the new Earthspark episodes released, I got more ideas- and so now, I’ve got four new OC’s specifically for Earthspark things (although they all do have some things for other continuities) and I love them all.

I'm not sure any of you read my fanfictions but I watched the 'court scene' leak and now I got stressed about writing my Hazbin fics.

So RANT TIME:

I haven't even completed the 'Overture' chapter yet in 'A Flickering Flame' and I'm already panicking about Adam! Like is he a sinner now? Is he actually dead? Is he not appearing in Season 2 but he will appear in season 3?

The ending I have planned for Season 1 of 'AFF' hinges (maybe exaggerating but still) on whether he's back or not? At least if I'm POSTIVELY 100% sure he's dead! I can just write him in, so he and Lev can still have moments!

UGH! I'm stressed! I love this asshole angel too much!

'When Hell Freezes Over' will probably be fine though (Adam's crush on Glacia was VERY one-sided, she'll be fine not seeing him again).

'Adam's Third Wife' is kind of in the middle. I do have some chapters planned of an ending of 'The Show Must Go On!' where Adam lives due to Sylvia's interference, so technically they can continue to have creepy-cute adventures in Heaven still! But what if Sinner!Adam does come, will I have to correct and say those chapters are non-canon? And arguably more importantly, what is Sylvia going to do if she hears her husband is alive AS A SINNER? Probably fall and became a sinner/fallen angel too (especially since Lute seems to be the one going off the deep end), but I'm not quite sure about the specifics yet if again, Sinner!Adam is happening!

Name's Opalin, a colour-crazed man with some spicy neurons. I might start yapping about things and posting whatever I feel like, buut that's the charm of it! Now, you probably remember this blog as viera-may-in-emerdon, right? Well, I decided to change it up. Didn't feel like being a one-time advert for Project Emerdon anymore, buut don't tell Tim that!

Anyway, I have some things important for this blog.

1: No politics. This blog is light-hearted, and I couldn't care less about the people in power. If you care and think I should, then I will ask you politely to go elsewhere, and then block you if you ignore that.

Then there's Spammage, who I will best describe as Spamton, but friendly and female. She will often speak with purple text and is basically a chaos gremlin on this blog. She likes the nickname Spammy.

And lastly, th- I'll do this myself, THANKS. Isaz Gicel, not a pleasure to meet you. You'll probably see me being sarky and generally cold, but you can ask me stuff. Dunno why he's treating this shit as a roleplay blog though. And if you want a short name for me, Ice. And don't call me Glacia.

Exactly the vibe I was going for, yeah, that sort of middle ground between Broadway actress and singer, like Patti LuPone or Julie Andrews. Her being old-money wealthy and trained in opera singing makes sense considering her design, and would also explain how she made it from Unova to Galar to Hoenn. She’s probably mostly retired from showbiz in her Elite Four years, but still makes the occasional exception for productions that catch her eye.

1960s era Mid-20s Bertha would already be a bundle of social anxiety and self-doubt, the reveal that her new girlfriend’s old theatre friend (and possibly more, a proper lady doesn’t kiss and tell) is an internationally acclaimed star of stage and screen would be a stunning revelation. Glacia likely diffused the tension of their meeting with a joke about how often she causes people to “freeze up” without the help of her Pokemon. It’d probably take a few days for Opal to recognize the symptoms of imposter syndrome developing within Bertha, but she’d eventually offer some reassurance in her own charmingly eccentric way. The contrast between their personalities was part of why Opal chose her in the first place, after all. (Bertha felt Very Normal about the resulting barrage of flirtatious flattery, particularly when Glacia was invited to contribute.)

I’m not sure if present-day Bertha would keep in touch with Glacia as much as she would with Opal, but they’d probably at least send each other holiday cards or little “thinking of you” letters. Bertha at first considered politely declining the offer of free balcony box seats to Glacia’s performances, but then she remembered one of her coworkers is a fan of classical music.

Was thinking about Fairydustshipping earlier today and wondering which other older League members they could be familiar with when I remembered Glacia. Much like Bertha, she doesn’t really get much in the way of characterization beyond “Trainer from a non specific other Region who’s disappointed by weak challengers and appreciates passionate effort”. While I was looking into her bulbapedia page to find something to build off of, I noticed something that might suggest where she’s from: Her rematch team in ORAS includes a Beartic and a Vanilluxe. This along with her opera singer adjacent design makes me wonder if she used to be a famous stage actress on Unova’s equivalent of Broadway. Possibly guest starring in some high budget productions in Galar, which is how she met Opal. Considering the possibility of her being an amicable ex of Opal’s, and being perceived as a “tough act to follow” by the shy and anxious Bertha.

Do you have any particular ideas about Glacia? For example, how well do you think she’d get along with Diantha, if they met?

Thank you for your patience. I absolutely love this and am definitely adopting it into my headcanons.

I absolutely love Glacia being perhaps at one point a Broadway- or Vaudeville-type performer, and maybe even briefly a starlet on the silver screen. But I really really especially love the thought of her being an opera singer. Perhaps she was known for her incredible singing voice and had an insane range she could hit and has traveled all over the world to do operatic performances. I could see her even being the type who, when she was younger, performed for royalty or important political figures in other regions. Like, perhaps she was at THE Top and achieved a legendary status as an opera singer that countless others have been inspired by and chased after her success but never were able to do it quite like she did. I imagine she had a voice that could move you to tears, or perhaps, strike an icy chill into your heart. I absolutely LOVE shit like this.

And yeah that would be a VERY tough act to follow. I could see many probably thinking that Glacia and Opal being somewhat more similar in some ways, both being outgoing individuals with a sort of natural charm about them that is magnetic... Which I don't see Bertha ever having had. I do personally think she's plenty charming in her own ways, but it's much quieter and subtler. And I definitely think that as a younger woman, she would have felt VERY self conscious about that, especially after Glacia, like you said.

And tbh I can see Opal introducing Bertha to Glacia and Bertha immediately being absolutely dumbfounded bc Glacia would be a world famous performer, and breathtakingly gorgeous in almost an ethereal way I think, and I get the sense that she has a natural way about her that makes it feel like she's looking right into your brain. I think she would be a polite and nice person but I also think she would be incredibly intimidating to meet if you don't have much self confidence. Especially if you feel like you're a nobody, because she is definitely Someone. Bertha is not a tall person but Glacia made her feel small in an entirely new way.

And with Diantha, I absolutely wanna tackle that, but perhaps in a different post. I'm struggling to use my brain and haven't been feeling super talkative recently but this sort of thing gets me so excited so once again, thank you for your patience.

Mm... I know you haven’t finished the show, so spoilers for my opinion (which I’m not even sure if it would be unpopular or not- I don’t focus on TFA, or this version of Starscream that much). You don’t have to read this one if you don’t want to-

I kind of feel like mmmaybe he should just stay gone? I think Slipstream would’ve revived him, and he’s one of my favorite characters in general, but tbh- meh. If S4 got the chance to happen, he should stay gone.

Or like, maybe when Megs killed him for the first time, that was when he should’ve died- like, he would’ve had a short amount of time in the show, but y’know, maybe it would be interesting- maybe he did the Clone thing earlier, so he dies and doesn’t have the shard with him anymore, but now all of his Clones are around, and doing their own thing- maybe going after Megs, I dunno.
