I have a soft thought on superman!mingyu. When you first started dating, he's just so happy and excited he forgets his own strength sometimes.

He holds the door open for you? There's a dent in his car door. He feeds u the first bite of his cooking? Best believe the spoon is bent from how nervous he is. He wants to help out dusting and vacuuming? He accidentally lifts the couch to high it knocks out your lightbullb.

He's always so apologetic and shy about it, sometimes he gets insecure and scared that even with the best of his intentions he might accidentally get you hurt. It could be thaat at a point it bothers him so much that he's teary eyed. Cause how can he be this reliable hero but also risk hurting you? But you just shake your head and kiss his pout away because when it comes to touching you.. he's always gentle.

(sure sometimes you gasp when you dont see each other for a while or his adrenaline is pumping from a recent rescue that he speeds into your arms.)

But after the first few times, Mingyu won't lunge forward for a hug, instead he opens his arms so you come to him and he'll gently cradle you. He's softer and slower and intentional when he reaches for you. Your cheeks hurt from smiling so much when he's carefully picking off an eyelash from your cheekbone. His fingers are rough from callouses but it reminds you of who he is and why he had to work so hard. So you brush your lips against his palms and just embrace him.

Idk, i feel like theres always going to be this juxtaposition of being a reliable and good super hero with abilities that can hurt others or attract others to hurt you. 🤧But he really does try and thats all that matters to you💗

he would definitely be so shy and apologetic abt it :(( the thought of hurting you hurts him, makes his poor lil heart ache if that happens. there are definitely instances throughout the relationship where he believed his heroic identity and obvious inhuman abilities would be the downfall of your relationship, yet it's so hard to imagine a life without you in it, and the kiss you leave to his lips after he spills that to you makes him nearly forget all about it. so that's why he's always cautious when it comes to you, always tries to let you do the first move in initiating affection even though he wants to do that too. he would be so so sweet, gentle, and soft whenever he's admiring you in more intimate situations 🥺

sometimes he may accidentally squeeze you a lil too hard or even picking you up by surprise while he's flying back home 😔

but he for sure makes mental notes about it. would place a nervous hand at your hips if he wants to backhug you, open his arms for you to fall into his embrace after noticing you've had a hard day at work, and overall just make you feel loved and cherished. and whenever the comfort and protection of his arms swallow you whole, you can't help but admire him too--over the small cut you notice at his lips from a very difficult battle that would fade away in time, the callouses at the tip of his fingers, while listening the sound of his steady heartbeat in your ear <3

there definitely is a big juxtaposition with being a superhero with the ability to hurt others too :(( but like you said... he tries because he loves you and has so much love to give, and that's all that matters 🥺

Who is Jo?

It's only the fifth episode of The Trainee but I feel confident about who is the Blue Boy since I learned more about him this episode.

Ryan is a chill Green Guy who helps everyone including Pie in the very beginning of the episode by changing the copy paper and helping her. This hasn't changed.

Pie is still being her red passionate self now that she is assistant director for the music video.

Pah is still the yellow and orange odd one out.

Judy is still a sophisticated Black Brooder, and Mee is an evolving Pink Person.

(who gives her crushes pink donuts, so can Judy get one already?)

But the focus of this episode and post is about Jane!

We got to know more about him, and my original theory about him seems to be correct because I believed Jane was the Blue Boy since he seems cold and distant but everyone overlooks how dependable and loyal he is.

And once Ryan steps into Jane's apartment, it becomes even more clear that nobody really knows (Blue Boy) Jane.

(Sidenote, to be honest, I'd be Purple Person Ja, and not just because of the hair. I have beef with authority figures for no good ass reason. I need no reasons to dislike management, supervisors, admin, or anyone with power, so I ain't mad at her for talking shit about Jane every chance she gets)

Not only are Jane's curtains that shut out the rest of the world in the apartment that he intentionally selected since it's so close to his job blue.

But Ryan learns that Jane doesn't eat spicy food after Jane makes Ryan dinner in his blue pot.

And much like Pie's red bag, Mee's pink purse, and Ryan's green tote, Jane's bag has blue on it.

But what makes me really believe Jane is a Blue Boy is his behavior.

It seems like Jane has a box of shooting schedules (or storyboards) right at his front door that Ryan has to push a bit to get through, which much like the location of his apartment reinforces that his job is his life. (unless those are bills, then those bills look odd, and boy is about to be evicted)

Jane's movies are in alphabetical order (however, he alphabetizes "The" which should not be done because article adjectives a, an, and the should be omitted in alphabetizing, but . . . it's his personal collection, so do you, boo boo)

His album collection seems to be displayed by color connection (black, white, red) since I spotted Kodaline's 2022 album Our Roots Run Deep, Coldplay's 2002 album A Rush of Blood to the Head, and the 1980s Japanese rock band, Southern All Stars' Tiny Bubbles.

And the real kicker is Jane's favorite movie seems to be Mary is Happy, Mary is Happy, which is a Thai film about a creative girl who has to go up against her power-driven headmaster to get the yearbook produced as she encounters all the chaos that comes along with being a teenager.

And even his coworker (boss?) stated that Jane has the director's eye but he had a bad experience as an intern. Jane is talented yet guarded, which is very Blue Boy of him! Also, this book is free in the Archive and amazing!

So even though Tae has a blue phone and his blue headphones with a blue emoji heart to match Mee's pink heart as a he thinks of her with a pink background,

My money is on Jane being the Blue Boy since taking care of a Green Guy comes natural to him.

But the real point of this post is to ask "Who is Jo?" Is he the boss? A helpful office worker? Both? Because he is the only one who interacts with all the staff and actually notices all of them. He knew Pah was Pah when he was pretending to be Tae. He realizes Judy is amazing. He knows where the number for the copier tech is. He takes care of the fish.

Is he the original Ryan?!

Wayne ambushes Eddie in his room one afternoon with a serious look on his face; his brows furrowed, and his mouth pulled into a disappointed frown. Eddie's only ever seen that expression once, and it was when he broke Wayne's favourite mug.

"Son, are these yours?" He asks.

"What - oh, fuck." Pure fear washes over Eddie as he finally notices the very explicit magazines in his uncle's hand. He'd bought them years ago when he first started questioning his sexuality; he'd shoved them under his shirt and ran all the way home to avoid accidentally bumping into someone. He'd only had to peek at one page that featured a very handsome, very naked man to realise that, yep, he definitely likes men.

But he'd forgotten to throw them away. He stares at the offending magazines in Wayne's hand and runs through every excuse in his mind, but none of them make sense.

"Those aren't mine." Is what he brilliantly lands on. The crack in his voice and the embarrassed flush on his cheeks gives him away immediately. Wayne just sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose, almost like he expected that answer.

"Well, they aren't mine." He looks at the magazines in his hand and says something that has Eddie choking on his own spit. "I don't buy this brand; the pictures are bad quality, and mine are actually safely hidden away, unlike yours." He says it with a straight face, but a small smile slowly creeps onto his lips, a smile that says he's not really mad at him. "Put these under your mattress like everybody else does." He places the magazines onto Eddie's desk and then just... leaves.

He leaves like he didn't just admit that he buys gay porn magazines as well.

The fact he'd said it like they were discussing the weather or sport is what stuns Eddie the most. It had taken him years to get the courage to even say the words 'I'm gay', and here's his uncle, essentially coming out to him by discussing porn mag preferences.
