🔑Mikey's favorite flavor is anko(red bean). Taiyaki, dorayaki, mochi, etc. It doesn't matter, it has to have anko filling. Fave ice cream flavor? Anko. What does he ask for on his halo halo when he and Izana go visit the Phillipines? Extra red bean.
🔪Yuzuha Is an unofficial member of Toman. The uniform she wears isn't her school's uniform, it's a custom one in Toman colors that Mitsuya made for her. She doesn't wear the ribbon around her neck anymore because once when she got in a fight someone grabbed it and nearly cost her the fight. The only reason she isn't an official member despite Mikey insistence, since she's a pretty decent fighter, is because she hates violence due to her childhood.
😵Shion is afraid of heights.
🚚Kisaki can't smoke because he has asthma. Every time he went to the Valhalla Arcade to talk strategy, he always made Hanma come outside to the back of the building so he doesn't die from the secondhand smoke. Hanma thinks it's funny.
🚬Hanma is left-handed. Also didn't get his Sin and Punishment tattoos bc of the Dostoevsky novel but because of the Nintendo 64 game lmao.
🎴Izana wants to learn how to play every Gackt song on his acoustic guitar.
💤Ran has dated more foreign girls than Japanese girls. Mostly Singaporean(a lot of rich Singaporeans club in Roppongi), Russian(a lot of Russian models come to Japan for work), and Korean(A lot of Korean tourists due to proximity) girls. He wants to try and date a French girl someday (he romanticizes Paris and France like a lot of young Japanese ppl do). He's enamored with foreign pop culture and is in his Passport Bro era lmaoooo, it's why he wants to be a foreign celebrity. And it's easy for him to find foreign girls to date bc Roppongi is popular with foreigners in general.
🎶Rindou is secretly a huge romantic and feels extremely pressured to be a playboy bc of his and his brothers' reputation. A lot of things most boyfriends would find a pain in the ass to do, Rindou actually looks forward to doing for his future girlfriend one day.
💊Sanzu: "While u were out partying w da Haitanis, I studied the blade."
jk jk but I hc that's he's actually a chuunibyou, he just hides it really well. Has whole shonen manga monologues in his head.
🐉Draken dawg HATES anko w a passion and can't stand it. Mikey's love for it is torture to him.
👠Inupi i saw a hc once that his red flag is that he's rude to the waitstaff and I laughed for 5 min straight because why can I see it???? lmao???
That aside I hc that he loves swimming and water in general. Like, in the timelines he ends up being a Yakuza he definitely made sure his penthouse had the fanciest infinity pool complete with custom lights, heating, a built in stone wall on the side that has a flatscreen TV, different connected sections w different elevations, etc.
💴Koko is half Chinese, from his mom's side. She's from the mainland, specifically Henan province and born in it's capital Zhengzhou. He's very proud of his heritage.

Anyone got any matching hcs lol?

Tara Carpenter/Fem!Reader She’s the Man AU
Summary: inspired by she’s the man, with a few changes
Warnings: Chad’s a bit of a jerk but nothing else really
WC: 9.3k
Author’s Note: sorry for any mistakes. Hope y’all enjoy:)
"What?!"
"Sorry girls but I can't really do anything about it."
"But we win more games than the boys do!!"
"Yea what the fuck why aren't they the ones getting cut."
"What?! No you don't, you guys just face other girls that don't know how to play."
You couldn't believe what you were hearing. You couldn't believe you dated him. To be fair you had been sexually confused for a long time. Battling your inner self to be true to who you were. Frankie was your ex boyfriend and you honestly wanted to slap yourself every time you looked back at that relationship. You honestly didn't know what you were thinking.
"Oh really you guys haven't won a game since like what freshman year?" You backfired. "Can't even win a game against the schools rivals, Woodsboro Panthers." The boys in front of you glared at you knowing that it was always a touchy subject. The team had always been sore losers.
"I'm sorry girls but we have to practice unlike some people." The couch and the boys laughed as they walked away.
The girls team was left standing on the field feeling a mix of emotions. You were beyond pissed and there was absolutely nothing you could do.
*
You had been walking home, your music blasting in your ears. You had been extremely bummed out, your dream had always been to play soccer in the big leagues. Wanting nothing more than to play with your idols. Couldn't really do that if your school doesn't have a girls team. You would have to transfer to another school that does have one but you'd doubt that your parents would let you. The closest school would be Woodsboros, but they also didn't have a girls team.
The sudden pull of your jacket had you stumbling back. "Ah what the hell!" You turned around taking off your headphones. Only to be faced with your brothers girlfriend.
"Anthony-Oh ew it's you."
"What do you want Sherrie."
"Where's your brother. When you see him tell him to call me."
"What's the number, 1-800-BIYATCH." You laughed to yourself.
"Whatever. Just tell him."
You laughed as she walked away and went into the house.
*
"Wait what do you mean you're leaving?" Your eyes followed your twin brother (although you didn't really look that much the same, there was similarities but you were a bit taller then he was. And the much better looking twin) he was moving back and forth from his bag and his closet.
"The band got booked to perform in fucking London. Can you believe that?"
"London? As in London England? Wait, what about school. Don't you start next week?" You were sat on his bed strumming his acoustic guitar.
"Oh right, I wanted to ask if you can cover for me. You know, use that mom voice of yours and I don't know make a call or something." He closed his bag and packed one of his many guitars. Once he was finished he looked at you with a smile.
"Wait, what about mom and dad?"
"One of the ups of having divorced parents. Mom thinks I'm with dad. Dad thinks I'm with mom. And they both hate each other too much to call each other." Throwing two of his bags out window, followed by his guitar.
"And what about your girlfriend? I don't even know why you date her."
"Cause she's hot, it's a guy thing. Well, I'll see you in like two months, maybe more." Anthony smiled and left through the window.
"Anthony!"
"Oh were you talking with your brother?" The sudden voice of your mother startled you.
"Uh yea, on the phone. What the hell is that?" You used the horrendous dress that your mom was carrying as a way out. If clearly worked when your mom beamed down at you.
"It's your dress. For the-Ugh mom." You groaned, knowing what she was going to go on about. "I said I'm not doing it. There's no way I'm putting on a dress. Literally the last time I wore one was when I was two. I'm not doing it." Standing up and putting your brother's guitar away.
"I don't know even know why I keep trying." She said as she walked away. You rolled your eyes and stood up. Looking into the mirror. Your brothers picture to the side. You picked it up and held it up. You never understood how you were related to him. Let alone a twin. You truly never looked alike. You were a bit taller than he was. And honestly stronger as well.
"Well if you can't beat them. Join them."
**
"Ha. You're funny." The hairdresser laughed. Kirby shook her head as she continued to cut her clients hair. Looking back at you, only to stop laughing. "Oh you're not kidding. Wait you're serious."
"Yea come on Kirb, I have a point to make. And I can't do it if you don't help me. Quinn, Anika back me up." You looked back at your best friends.
"Yea come on Kirby. The coach and the whole school in general think that girls can't do half of the things boys can do. They kept the stupid boys team and they don't even win!" Quinn spoke, she was still heated on the matter. Although she didn't have the same dreams as you, she still wanted to support you.
"Yea Kirby, they even got new uniforms and lockers for the boys team. A losing team might I add again." Anika voiced from your side.
"Come on Kirby please." The three of you spoke simultaneously.
The elderly client butting in. "Yea come on Kirby."
With a laugh Kirby laughed and nodded. "Fine."
*
"Damn. You make one fine ass man." Quinn whistled when you stepped out. You so badly wanted to scratch your head. The wig was something you'd have to get used to.
"Shut up. Do I really look like a man?"
"Yea one hot ass man." Anika joked as she stood next to you, reaching up to fix your wig. Quinn laughed from her seat as she ate her popcorn.
"Okay. Now we got the walk. The talk. Tomorrow you start. Remember be confident. You got this. We got all the paper work ready, oh and also. Remember to respond to the name Anthony. Anika literally tried to get your attention using your brothers name, and you didn't listen. Cause you have to get used to it." Kirby said as she got some of the popcorn from Quinn.
"Okay. I got this. I got this."
**
"I don't got this. Take me back. This was a stupid idea. Don't you ever let me come up with any more ridiculous ideas ever again. I can't believe you actually listened to me. You never listen. I can't believe I came this far. Well it's far enough. Take me back-Y/n stop!"
"Relax. You got this, now suck it up and get your shit together." Kirby handed you your bags and pushed you towards the entrance of the school.
You gulped and took a deep breath in trying to calm your nerves. With a look of encouragement from Kirby you made your way into the school.
*
Going into the boy side of the dorm rooms had been everything you expected and more. It was literally your worst nightmare come to life. The smell alone was enough for you to want to turn on your heels and leave. A mixture of body odor and a tone of axe spray. But you had to do this. You now had a point to make and you were going to make it.
You've never moved so fast to make it to your dorm. Slamming the door shut once, the relief of being in the safety of your room was washed away when you felt eyes on you. You were quick to straighten up and eyes wide as you looked at the three boys.
Clearing your throat, remembering to deepen your voice. "What up. Y'all must be my roommates." Nervously fumbling with your keys.
"Uh na I'm your roommate Chad. This is Ethan and that's Wes. They live next door."
You nodded as you put your bags down. Trying to swallow the anxiety that you felt coming up your throat.
"Yo what's your name?"
You turned around to look who was talking. Wes sat on the window seat playing with a ball.
"Anthony Y/ln, so you play the beautiful game bruhs, bros? Brothers?" You had tried to remember how boys talk but at the moment your mind was going blank.
"Yea, Ethan midfield and Wes plays defense and I'm a striker. What about you?"
"Center Midfield."
You cleared your throat as you got unpacked your bag. Taking out your boots, only remembering the tampons you shoved into the boot when Chad pointed them out.
"Dude why do you have tampons?!"
"Uh. I get really bad nose bleeds?"
After the horrifying and embarrassing display of you shoving a tampon up your nose. You were left with a big sense of regret. As the boys laughed and mocked you.
*
So far it's been alright.
That's a big fat lie. So far it's been hell. Things are horrible. The first try outs were today and man. You'd think it had been your first time playing. You had always thought you were great at soccer. It was a sport you loved. You had played it for the longest time. Now you wouldn't go and say you were horrible but you had a lot to learn. Especially since you made it on to the second string. That had been disappointing.
"Good job boys. Nice work, for the second strings don't feel discouraged. You are just as much on this team as the first stringers. Now go hit the shower. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Coach Loomis spoke before leaving to his office.
Showers?!
Crap! How could I forget about the freaking showers?!
You tried to think of any possible reason why you wouldn't be able to. You'd didn't really want to see anyone naked. Let alone a bunch of immature boys. But the closer you got to the boys locker the more you were starting to panic.
"Y/LN! Principal Riley wants to talk to you. So get a move on." Coach yelled from his office.
You had never felt so much relief like you did this moment. Never moving so fast to get out of a room before.
*
The talk with the principal had been one of the weirdest and most awkward talks you had ever been in. As you walked out of the office you felt your body collide with a smaller body.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry. Are you alright?" The sudden action causing your voice to come out normal before you could even realize. Moving to help pick up the books the shorter girl dropped.
"It's okay."
You looked up, only for your breath to hitch in your throat. The girl in front of you was so, beautiful. Completely gorgeous. The faint freckles that littered her face, made you want to count every single one. Her dark brown eyes, were so mesmerizing that you could get lost in that pool of dark chocolate. Her small smile had your heart hammering in your chest. The dimples that appeared had to be the cutest things you had ever seen.
"Uh here's your books." You cleared your throat deepening your voice, the smile that she directed your way was enough for you to almost go weak to the knees.
"Thanks. You're the new transfer student, right? I'm Tara."
Tara. What a beautiful name. You returned the smile, "Y/-Uh Anthony. It's nice to meet you Tara." You held out your hand for her to shake, at the sound of her giggle, your smile grew just a tad bit. But the moment her soft, small, warm hand was in yours it was like your hand was made to hold hers. At the sight of her blushing cheeks, you pulled your hand away, clearing your throat.
"Well it was nice to meet ya Tara. I have to go and do some, guy stuff. Uh I'll see you around." With a nod you were quick to walk away. Part of you hoping you'd run into the Tara again.
*
"Dude this is not working. Who knew making friends as a dude could be so hard. Not to mention that I'm starting to smell. Kirby how could I forget about the showers. My roommate is a bit of jackass and-Alright take it easy. I can help you with the making friends situation and the shower problem. Let me just get the girls I've got a plan." Kirby cut you off before hanging up, not giving you a chance to respond.
"Kirby? Hello? Ugh, I hate when she does that." You mumbled. The past two days of being a 'man' have been a little bit harder than you had expected. Your roommates along with his friends are bit of jerks and clearly didn't want to be around you.
It wasn't long till, Kirby showed up with Quinn and Anika. Who had bright smiles on their faces. You hurried to get in the car. "Oh I've miss-oh wow you stink." Quinn cut herself off, pulling away from you.
"Don't remind me. Now what's your plan?"
*
With feeling fresh and clean, you walked into the restaurant with a new found confidence. You knew at least half of the students and soccer team were in the place at the moment. It was great for Kirby's plan, 'Make friends plan'. Her own way of making friends for you was well, "the boy way". That's why she had brought Quinn and Anika.
"Fuck here comes Anthony. Spread out so it looks like we don't got room." Chad nudged Ethan to the side as they spread out in the booth. It wasn't like he hated the guy but since the tampon moment in their room. He wasn't in a rush to make friends with his roommate.
"Oh my god Anthony Y/ln! Oh my god I've missed you so much."
Chad was pulled from his conversation with Ethan to see a red haired girl. She was hot.
"Quinn. Hey baby, how you doing?"
Chad couldn't understand how someone like Anthony could have girl like this one. The guy was weird. He acted completely strange. But here he was with this hot girl. Eyes widening a bit when the girl lightly kissed Anthony on the lips before leaving. He heard Ethan chocking on his soda when yet another girl, just as hot, called out to Anthony. The way this dark haired girl refused to let him go. Only leaving when Anthony slapped her butt.
"What the fuck? Did those two just talk to Anthony? Him?" Wes spoke in pure disbelief. There was no way. Seeing a hot brunette coming his way. He took his chance. "Hey there pretty lady."
"Ew. Are you talking to me?"
"I was just- Yea sure let me make it clear, girls with asses like mine don't talk to boys with faces like yours."
The two teammates shared a look, trying to hold in their laughter at the face Wes was making. The one of pure embarrassment.
"I'm looking for my boyfriend Anthony Y/ln."
The three boys jaw dropped in disbelief.
*
"Fuck it's your brothers girlfriend. Don't let her get too close or she'll recognize you." Kirby had spoken so quickly you barely had time to understand before you heard Sherries obnoxiously loud voice.
"Wait what?"
"Anthony!"
"Oh fuck uh be gone you craziest-" You felt a small sense of fear as you tried to dodge Sherries attempts to get to you. You had gone as far as using a stack of pizza boxes to cover your face. "Can't you take a hint. If I don't answer your phone calls or your texts. It could only mean one thing. We are done!"
Sherrie had acted like you expected. Leaving with scream of anger and most likely embarrassment. You were relieved on the other hand. Your cover was not blown. You heard the cheers and even felt the acceptance of your schoolmates.
"Dude that was awesome."
"You're officially my idol."
"Make room for the man."
*
Like Kirby had predicted. The plan had worked. You had the "respect" of your teammates and the school. Although you kinda felt a little bad for Sherrie. Even though she's been nothing but a bitch to you. You also didn't stink that was good. You had gotten used waking up super early in the morning. Getting the showers to yourself.
"Hey Anthony."
You turned at the sound of your brothers name. That was also something you kinda got used to. Being addressed as your brothers name and not yours.
At seeing who called for you, it had you smiling in a way you couldn't really control. "Tara hey. How are you doing?" You faced the shorter girl. She returned the smile as she looked up at you.
"I've been good. I haven't seen you around the past week. How's the school treating you." Tara had tried to see Anthony around the campus. But the campus was huge. She hasn't even got a glimpse of Anthony which was extremely disappointing.
"Oh it's been something else. I like the campus though." You looked down to what she was holding and it was stack of what you could clearly tell were heavy books. You reached for them without really realizing that you were. "Let me help you with those." You didn't really give her a chance to decline before taking most of the books.
"Thank you. But you didn't have to." Tara could feel the warmth coming from her cheeks. She could only hope that Anthony couldn't notice.
"It's okay, now what are you even studying that requires you to carry so many books." At sound of her laugh you smiled, her laugh was so sweet.
"Oh I've been transferred out of my class into another. Apparently I was too smart for that class."
"Nice, a smart girl." You teased smiling in satisfaction when you saw her blush. "No but seriously, aren't you running for class president?"
"Yes, I'm been elected to run. It's nothing." She looked away from his gaze. Her own mother had been dismissive of her achievements. She hated the feeling of being a disappointment. She's tried not to let her mother's words affect her but, it's her mother. The harsh words are bound to have an affect.
"Are you kidding? That's great, you were elected, which that alone is awesome. Don't sell yourself short. But don't worry future Ms.President. You have my vote." The smile you got in return was something you'd cherish. You hated how sad she had looked for a just a second before the look was gone.
"Thank you. That means a lot. Well this is me." Never had she felt so disappointed to arrive to her class. She had wanted to keep talking to Anthony. The way he acted around her was in a way no other boy has. He didn't treat her like she was just a piece of meat, like she was just some type of trophy he could show off to his friends. He was different from the other boys in school. "I'll see you later?" Hoping her voice didn't come off as hopeful.
"Of course. Later Ms.Future President." With a small bow you handed her books and walked away. Smiling when you heard her laugh.
*
Arriving into your biology class was something you weren't looking forward to. You hated cutting open any animals or anything that was once alive. Taking a seat as your roommate and his friends took a seat in front of you. The boys becoming your friends was also something new. Ever since that day at the pizza place your popularity had grown.
"Dude I keep forgetting to ask. But how long did you date that girl?" Chad asked as he took a seat in front of his roommate.
"Too long-Alright pick a name out of the bowl and who ever you have will be your lab partner for the rest of the year."
Taking one of the pieces of paper from the bowl you unfolded it. Smiling at the sight of the name. "Tara Carpenter." You looked up, searching for your brun-the brunette that was becoming your favorite. Eyes connecting with the beautiful chocolate eyes. Oh how you loved chocolate. Seeing the smile on her face as she looked at you. Sending a small wave.
"Dude you know Tara Carpenter? Switch with me." Chad couldn't help the small sense of jealousy at the way the girl he liked was looking at Anthony.
"Yea and no cause I said her name out loud." You gathered your things and moved to table Tara had moved to. Placing your bag on the table as you sat down. Leaning forward just bit.
"Hey Tara. I gotta be completely honest with you. The whole dissecting thing freaks me out, so I think you're gonna have to take the reins on this one." You whispered to her. Hoping no one else heard you.
"Wow I don't think any other guy would have admitted to that."
"Crap, you're right." Your eyes widen as you looked down at the paper with a cut open frog. The feeling of wanting to barf came strong.
"No no. It's okay. I got you. I'll take the lead." Tara wanted to wipe the frown on his face. It was such an adorable look but she also wanted to comfort him, so she reached for his hands, taking his hand into hers. His hands were so soft. Not like any other boy's hands she's touched. The warmth and softness of his hands made her want to hold on to them longer.
"Uh no papers from other classes on the table." A boy you e never seen before said, paper was pushed in between in your face and Tara's. Seeing the color of the paper. You quickly tried to grab it but Tara was quicker.
"Oh what's this poems?"
"Lyrics. They're hi-my my old stuff."
"You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be. And I don't wanna go home right now."
You sighed in relief, realizing it was a song you wrote for your brother to sing. He wanted a romantic song and your were such a sucker for them.
"This is really good."
The way she was looking at you had your throat in a knot. Feeling like she could read your mind by the way she was staring intensely into your eyes.
*
As you walked out of the classroom you were pulled by the back of your shirt. "Dude what the fuck Chad!" Pulling your shirt from his grip.
"Anthony my guy. Did you tell her anything about me?"
"Who Tara? Was I supposed to?"
"Come on man. You could convince her to go out with me."
He looked so serious you couldn't help but laugh. "Dude you've been going to school together for, how long? I don't think she likes y-Come on! If you help me. I'll help you train to make first string for the rivalry game."
"Wait what? Seriously?" You were good, but apparently not good enough to make first string. And you had something to prove. You couldn't be distracted by anything. Not even a pretty brunette. It wasn't like Tara liked you.
"Okay, I'll tell her all about Chad Minks and how he's a great dude. But I won't force her."
"You're the man Anthony!" Chad cheered, this was going to work. He knew as much. He just needed someone to sweet talk him up to Tara. Then he would be the hottest guy dating the hottest girl in the school.
*
Training with Chad was fun. The more you trained with him. The more if felt like you were getting better than before. The love you had for game had always been big. Always trying to improve your self in how you play. With Chad's help you were a whole lot prepared and skilled during practices.
As for helping with Tara. It was coming along. Well the best it could without sounding pushy about the situation.
"So when can you let me read the rest of that poem?"
You were brought out of your thoughts at the sound of Tara's voice. You tried to avoid the frog that was cut open in front of you.
"Poem? What poem?" You teased, smiling when she squinted her eyes at you.
"Ugh you suck. I'm going to get you to read it to me one day. You just watch."
"Now, I heard from your friend Amber that you like someone."
"What?" Tara felt her eyes widen. She was going to kick Amber's ass when she sees her. Amber wouldn't tell him, that she liked him right? The feeling of her heart racing as she watched Anthony write down some notes before looking right at her with those soft y/ec eyes.
"Yea, is it by any chance Chad Minks? Cause I've seen what the way he looks at you. I mean I can see it."
Seeing the disbelief and was that disgust? You weren't sure. Reading people wasn't something you were really good at.
"Chad?"
"Yea."
"No."
"Yea."
"No! I mean he's good looking and all but he's just not the guy for me." Tara had tried to like Chad. He was what most girls wanted at the school. But every time she looked at him, she felt nothing. Chad was just like every other jock that has tried to get into her pants. Only wanting her for her body. She had seen how Chad was with Liv. Liv had been so in love with Chad. But the moment Chad got bored he left Liv. Liv had been left heart broken. Tara had gotten used to blocking out any guy that had tried to hit on her. Most of the guys (if not all of them) had always succeeded in making her extremely uncomfortable.
"Hmm I don't know maybe there's more to him than you think there is." You hated yourself for even bringing it up, you could tell this conversation was annoying Tara.
"So he's not just another dumb jock, who wants to get in my pants. So he could tell his friends but is too-Insecure to treat you as an equal?" You understood how she felt. It wasn't long you were also dating a dumb jock.
Tara looked at the taller boy in shock. Never had she met someone, let alone a boy, understand what she had felt. Seeing him agree had honestly left her feeling baffled.
"You know you are the first guy at this school who hasn't tried anything with me."
You felt you cheeks heat up as you cleared your throat, "Oh uh I'm not really looking for another relationship. Just got out of one that was a bit, hard I guess? You're a great friend Tara. You're actually the only person in this school I feel comfortable around."
Even if she felt a bit more that just disappointed that he only saw her as a friend. She offered him a smile. "I feel the same way about you." Her vocie coming out softer than usual. Looking into those beautiful y/ec eyes. It was enough for her to get lost in them. Even if he only saw her as a friend. She could work with that.
"Good, and just take my advice. Chad's a pretty cool dude, get to know the guy."
"I'll consider it." She was most certainly not going to. She watched as the soccer player tried to focus back on the task at hand. The cut open frog they still had to be dissected. The cute grossed out facial expression on his face was too cute for her to ignore.
"So what's that exactly?"
"Uh I think that's the spleen." A small noise of acknowledgment was all she got in response before she saw Anthony fainting and falling to his side. With a chocked laugh she was quick to check on him.
*
"I honestly thought you were joking about the dissecting thing freaking you out this bad." Tara couldn't hold back her giggles as he finally woke up. She had been worried at first. But the more she remembered the face the soccer player made, the more she couldn't help but to laugh.
"Ugh." You sat up, realizing you were now in the nurses room. You felt a little warm inside to see that Tara was sitting next your bed. Wondering if she was sitting there while you were out cold.
"How are you feeling? Down to dissect more frogs?" This time Tara couldn't help the full belly laugh.
As much as you tried to keep a straight face, a smile made its way to your face. You really liked the sound of her laugh. Her smile, the dimples you liked so much being on display. "You're so mean."
Tara brought up her hand to cover her mouth. Trying to control her laughter. "I'm sorry."
She looked utterly beautiful. The sun coming from the window shined on her like if she were an angel. All you wanted was to kis-Uh oh. No. No you couldn't be falling in love with Tara.
You couldn't.
*
"Yo! You okay? I can't believe you passed out over a cut open frog." The laugh that followed was nothing like Tara's.
"Yea whatever. But I've got you half way. She's considered going out with you." You flopped on your bed, looking up at the ceiling. Falling in love was not part of this plan. You couldn't for many reasons. One being the most obvious, YOU WERE A GIRL! For starters. You were a girl pretending to a boy, pretending to be your brother. Tara was obviously straight. And if you did show any signs of liking her, it would be misleading. You were a girl.
Tara was straight.
"Wait really? So should I go ask her out?"
"What? No!" Trying to ignore the jealousy you felt coursing through your body. "You don't want to freak her out."
"Ugh I hate the waiting game. I've been waiting for the past years. Since 6th grade. That’s five whole years. You have no idea how long I've wanted to, to date her. She's the hottest girl in the school."
You narrowed your eyebrows at your roommate. You won't deny that Chad is a great soccer player. He was outstanding on the field. And he was nice enough to help you out to make first string. But other than that you weren't really sure why he was so eager to be with someone who clearly didn't like him back.

"Wait what do you mean? You think he doesn't like you?"
Tara groaned into her pillow. As much as she enjoyed being with the taller soccer player. She couldn't ignore the small little voice in her head telling her that Anthony didn't like her back.
"I don't know Amber. He's not like any other boy I've ever met before. He hasn't even flirted with me. Not even once!" She chose to ignore the laugh coming from her best friend.
"What? There's no way. Every guy here has flirted with you at least once." Amber has watched for the past days how this guy had her best friend hooked with just his presence. She won't deny the guy was kinda good looking. But there was something about Anthony that was making her sexually confused? Amber was a proud lesbian. There was no denying that, but she had gone soooo long without finding any boy attractive. Not even when she was little. But now Anthony Y/Ln was a first. Now she didn't like him in that way like Tara did. But there was something about him that was familiar. She just couldn't seem to know what.
"Wait really?" Come to think about it, Amber has not seen Anthony flirt with any girl at all. Every time she saw him he it was always either during class (which he did really pay attention to) and then during the soccer practices. "Wait you don't think he's gay do you?"
That thought had never even crossed her mind. The thought of Anthony being gay had her sitting up straight to face Amber.
"What? No! There's no way-I mean, I don't know. Oh my god let it be me to fall for a guy who could possibly be gay." She groaned even louder as she covered her face with her hands. If Anthony was gay, she would have to move on. Or she could just ask. He did have those two girls at the pizza parlor. Not to mention that crazy ex. But if that were the case. Maybe he's bisexual. Or just now gave up on the girls and just wants boys now.
Ugh. It was just her luck.
*
"What's up Anthony."
You looked away from your open book. You had finally gotten away from Chad and his friends. A moment of peace away from those boys was what you desperately needed. They were rowdy and fun but you could only take so much before you wanted to pull your hair out.
"Sup Amber. How's it going?" Amber was Tara's best friend. You liked Amber. She was always putting Chad in his place when he tried to flirt with Tara. It was always a funny sight.
"Eh it's going but I gotta ask you something." She moved to sit next to Anthony.
You closed your book and looked at the shorter girl. "Sure what's up." You moved to grab your water bottle to take sip.
"Are you gay?"
The water burned as it went up your nose, you spluttered out wet coughs as you tried get your breathing back to normal. You took the napkins Amber offered you. "Jesus Amber. No I am not gay." Well you were. And as funny as it would be for these students to believe your brother Anthony was gay, you weren’t that mean of a sister.
"Really? Not even a little bit?" Amber did not feel convinced for the weirdest reason. She just couldn't put a finger on it.
"No not even a little bit. Why?" You let out a chuckle once you had your breathing under control and you were no longer chocking. Gay?
"Well can you blame a girl for asking." So he wasn't gay, Tara did have a chance. Amber couldn't help but to feel excitement. Mingling is something she was great at.
*
You hated being here, carnivals. Absolutely hated them. Clowns were literally your worst nightmare and those things were everywhere. Not only did you hate clowns. But you absolutely hated that you had to change from being you to your brother. So you opted to just staying as you for the remainder of the day.
"Wait they thought Anthony was gay?" Anika asked again once she was finished laughing.
"Anthony gay? Girl he is as straight as they come." Quinn laughed as well, the girls along with Kirby had arrived at carnival before you did. You mom had called the moment you arrived and said you were signed up for the kissing booth. Part of you had never felt so offended and angry. You were not going to be kissing no strangers. No matter the cause before hanging up.
"Any cute girls there?" Kirby nudged your shoulder as you walked around. Noticing the blush on her younger friend. "Oh so there is. What's her name?"
"Stop. There's no-Liar! Come on. Tell us." Your two best friend nudged and pleaded to know. You rolled your eyes although you were smiling.
"There is on-" You were cut off by someone bumping into your body. You were able to catch them before they fell. "Oh I'm sorry."
At the sound of the voice, the voice that sounded awfully familiar! Tara furrowed her eyebrows before looking up at the person. Only for her eyes to widen in shock. The girl standing in front of her looked exactly like Anthony. Almost like a spitting image. "Do I know you?" She couldn't help up to ask.
"Uh no. I don't think so. Sorry." You moved to walk around Tara. As much as you wanted to talk to her as you and not Anthony. You couldn't, not without blowing your cover. You were quick (but not too quick to make it weird) away.
Kirby and the girls were quick to follow you. Noticing Anika sharing a long stare with one of the girls. "Oh my god was that her!" Speaking once she was far away from the short girl.
"Would you shut up, and yes that's her." Your cheeks flushing at the teasing grins that were looking your way.
"Dude she's cute!" Quinn shook your shoulders in pure excitement.
"You should totally try to get w-No, she's straight. And I don't know if you know this but I'm a girl." You shook her head, continuing your walk only to see Chad and Frankie fighting. You were quick to run to the scuffle. Trying your best to pull the two dude's away from each other.
"Frankie stop!"
Chad turned around at the voice, opening his mouth to say something he had been momentarily distracted enough for Frankie to hit him. Making Chad stumble into you. You caught him right when the security showed up. Quinn and Anika pulling you away before you could get in trouble.
"Hey are you okay?"
You were standing to the side, after being yelled at by your mom. It wasn't even your fault but you let her yell at you. The girls had gone to get food while you waited. The sound of Tara's voice you looked towards her. She offering such cute shy smile.
"Uh yea I'm okay. Thanks for asking." You murmured, you weren't sure why you felt so shy now. Maybe it because you weren't sure if Tara would like you as Y/n and not as Anthony.
"Are you related to Anthony Y/Ln by any chance?"
"Yea he's my twin brother."
"Wow you guys are crazy alike. It's almost uncanny. How do you know Chad?" Tara couldn't get over how you looked so much like Anthony. Ever since she bumped into you earlier that day. She couldn't stop thinking about you and Anthony. She had always been comfortable with her sexuality. She had always said she was bisexual. And right now was a good example why. Anthony. He was so charming, so sweet and just so funny. Honest. You. You were honestly the most beautiful woman she's ever seen.
"Yea we get that a lot. I'm Y/n." Sticking out your hand for her to shake.
"Tara." Tara took your out stretched hand. Your hand taking hers in a gente but soft shake. She looked down at your hand, it was awfully the same as Anthony. Down to the same softness that she has grown to like.
"Damn that guy who beat up Frankie was kinda hot, wasn't that your brothers roommate." Quinn asked as she wrapped her arms around yours, interrupting whatever was happening between you and the short girl. From the corner of her she was able to see the same girl that had bumped into you looking right at you. Maybe that girl wasn't as straight as she seemed. "Hi I'm Quinn."
"Nice to meet you. I should go back to my friends. It was nice meeting you Y/n." She couldn't stop looking at you, she hoped that it wouldn't be the last time she saw you. A past of her also feeling a bit of disappointment seeing the red head being so close to you.
*
"Dude, what? What's on your face." You spluttered with your words at seeing the tampon up Chad's nose. Part of you wanted to laugh.
"Oh this? Yeah I grabbed one of your." He pointed to the tampon as he got up. "And they actually work." He took the bloody tampon out and threw it away.
"Dude what happened?"
"Well turns out the dude I fought was your sister's ex. And man she looks just like you. It's kinda scary. I mean I have a twin but we don't look that alike. She's kinda hot. Is she single?"
"Eh we get that all the time. And yea she is but she's gay."
Chad's shoulder visibly deflated. "Damn."
"I thought you liked Tara?" You narrowed your eyes slightly. Hoping it wasn't noticeable.
"I do. But I can admire another woman. And your sister is hot. Can't believe she dated a douche bag like Frankie." He didn't even do anything to the guy and Frankie had just lost his cool. And Chad wasn't one to back down.
"Yea, everyone gots at least one person they regret dating." You laid on your bed. Remembering how Tara finally met you as your true self.
*
"Hi Anthony." You looked away from your homework to see Tara sitting down in front of you. You were once again in the library.
"Hey Tara. How was the carnival yesterday?" You closed your book, focusing on the way Tara was looking at you. She had the same look of when she was studying something. In this case she was studying you. Which was making you quite nervous. "You okay tar?"
Seeming to be snapped back to reality. Tara nodded, "Yea sorry. It was fun. Why weren't you there?"
Shrugging in response, "Crazy ex showed up and wouldn't leave me alone so I just ended up leaving."
"Mmh, I didn't know you were a twin." Tara couldn't get over how much Anthony and his sister looked alike. It was truly uncanny. It was like she was looking at a man version of the girl she saw at the carnival.
"Oh you met Y/n? How was that?" You wanted to know what she thought of you.
"She was sweet. We didn't talk long, her girlfriend showed up."
"Girlfriend?"
"Yea this pretty red head."
You let out a laugh. She thought you were dating Quinn. You love Quinn she was one of your best friends. "Oh you mean Quinn. No that's just my sisters best friend."
Having a weird sense of relief, she wasn't even sure why. She had just met you. Why did she feel jealous. She had no reason to feel this type of jealousy. "Oh. They just seemed close."
"They've been friends since they were in diapers. They've just had a close bond since like forever."
"That's sweet..Wait didn't you kiss the red head?!" The memory had been shoved right to the front of her brain.
"Oh...yea. Uh.." Think faster!! "That was more of a friendly kiss? Quinn was just trying to help me break up with my girlfriend at the time. Sherrie was-is crazy. She was also kinda of a bitch to Y/n."
At the mention of that girl being mean to Y/n. It had her feeling, protective? You had looked so nice. Your soft y/ec eyes held some type of warmth. She wanted nothing more than to talk to you again.
*
"Y/LN!" You jumped up from the leg press machine. You had been working out with Chad for the past hour. The game against your school was less than a week away. And you have been training hard. The practices have been a lot more easier now that you knew how to play like a man. Chad had been a great help.
"Yes coach?"
A jersey being thrown at you. You looked down at the jersey. Your last name stitched on the back of the jersey along with a big number name below it. You felt your eyes widen in shock and excitement.
"You're first string for the rivalry game."
"Really?"
"No I was joking, you idiot." Coach Loomis said sarcastically before walking away.
You couldn't contain your excitement. Jumping up and down. "Yes!" Chad laughed as he shook his head.
"Congratulations man."
*
"Oh I know. Ask out Chad, like in a friend date. But don't let him know that, do it in front of Anthony. See how he reacts." Amber looked at Chad and Anthony from across the gym.
"But I don't like Chad."
"Which is why it will be a friend date. But you'll tell him that on the date."
Tara debated the plan. She really liked Anthony. His personality, his attitude, the way he was around her. It was so refreshing. So pure.
"Okay."
*
You couldn't stop smiling. All your hard work was finally paying off. Your point that you were trying to make was almost done. Wanting finish your workout before calling the girls.
"Hey Chad."
You both looked up to see Tara in all her glory standing there. Looking at Chad.
"Tara! Hi."
You could tell that he was nervous. With a quick look from Tara. You sent her an awkward thin lipped smile. Hoping Tara couldn't tell how jealous and dejected as you seemed.
"How about we go out on Friday."
But she did. She could see how the happy glint in his eyes faded as soon as she mentioned the date. She watched as Anthony turned around fiddling with his phone.
"Really?! I uh mean. Cool. Yea cool I'll see you Friday."
*
You hated yourself for feeling so jealous. You hated it. You had no right to feel jealous. Tara was straight and clearly giving Chad a chance. You had to focus on the bigger picture. So you tired to do that.
Staying late at the gym before the big game tomorrow. You didn't know how long you were until you saw the time. Figuring you needed some good nights rest before the game tomorrow. With a quick shower, you made your way back to your dorm room.
You had expected for Chad to be home so quickly. You were sure he would still be out with Tara.
"So are you gonna tell me the truth?"
The truth? You looked at Chad wide eyed. Did he know that you weren't a boy. You were sure you had been good at hiding your true self. Maybe your wig had fallen off while you were sleeping.
"Uh truth?"
"Yes the fucking truth."
He seemed angry, well you assumed he had a right to. Maybe he felt a little weirded out that girl has been rooming with him for a while.
"Okay, I'll tell you the truth. But just know that I did this cause I had to prove something. I've always loved soccer and-What so you use me to get better at soccer and then what steal my girl."
You were confused now. What on earth was Chad talking about? "Wait what? What are you talking about?"
"Dude stop lying I saw you!" Chad knew he may have been overacting. First he was a bit mad and disappointed that the date hadn't gone as he had hoped. The date had been so awkward and he had just felt so uncomfortable, and top off the date Tara had told him she didn't like him in that way. When he had seen Anthony, his so called friend kissing Tara. He had felt so betrayed and extremely jealous.
"Saw me do what?"
With his anger at an all time high. He had pushed Anthony out of the room without any further explanation. Slamming the door in Anthony's face.
"What the fuck?" You were left confused. With no where else to sleep you walked away towards the library. Hoping that it was open.
*
"Yo Anthony! What are you doing here?!" Jumping up from the chairs you had pushed together in a form of makeshift bed. "The game is about to start."
This had you almost tripping over your own two feet as you ran out of the library towards the boys locker room. Confusion taking over as you saw your uniform was gone. Fumbling with your phone hoping to find some answers.
Tony: thanks for unpacking my things and making my room. You're the best sis
Tony: why did you sneak tampons in my drawer. Jerk
"Fuck."
**
You could only watch from the safety of hiding under the bleachers as your brother destroyed all your hard work. He truly was a horrible athlete. It was like watching a baby trying to walk. If anything a baby could probably play better.
Sighing in relief as the whistle blew out signaling the ending of the first half. Watching as the coach Loomis spoke to your brother. Banging your head on the metal. Your brother walked past the bleachers and you took this opportunity to yank him under the bleachers.
"What the fu-Y/n?"
"Dude what the hell are you doing?" You punched his arm, he was supposed to give you a heads up before coming back.
"Ow! Me? Why are you dressed like me?"
"Ugh I was trying to prove to our old school that a girl could be just as good as any boy on the damn team. Can you believe they cut the girls soccer team and not the boys?"
"Wait what? But the girls team win more games?" He knew how much you love the game. There was never a game he would miss when you played.
"Wait, what are you even doing here?"
"Oh!" Remembering what had happened last night. "There was this girl. She kissed me. And even though it was only a second cause when she pulled away from me and looked at me like I was stranger. But I came to look for her cause she was hot."
"That's what Chad was talking about." You mumbled to yourself. "Give me back my uniform. And stay hidden.”
*
“Wait what do you mean you kissed him?” Amber asked as she looked away from the game. Half time had just started and it looked like Anthony was being given another chance. She had never seen someone play so horribly. It was almost laughable.
“Yea I did.”
“Then why do you sound disappointed? Shouldn’t you be happy, you have been crushing on the guy for a while now.” She looked back at the match. The second half time hasn’t started yet.
“I don’t know. I felt nothing. He usually makes me feel so much but last night, it felt weird like I was kissing a stranger. His lips weren’t as soft as they looked.” She didn’t really remember seeing his lips last night. But she remembered seeing those lips everyday. They had always looked so soft so kissable. The lips she kissed last night were not soft.
“Well I’ve seen him practice and he looked great during practice. The way he was playing in the first half, it might as well have been a stranger.” Mindy spoke up from her spot. There was no way Anthony was playing like newbie when he had trained so hard to make first string.
Quinn, Kirby and Anika shared a look. They were sitting behind the three girls. Maybe the short girl wasn’t as straight as they had assumed.
*
The second half was going a whole lot better than the first half. With you scoring the first goal with the help of Ethan. The stadium bursting out in cheers. The score now being 1-0.
You could still fell the hostility coming from Chad. He refused to look at you, going as far as to not even passing you the ball. This caused him to lose the ball. Leading your old school to score. Tying the game.
“Dude come on I know you’re mad but let’s put that aside for the next forty minutes.” You made the mistake of placing your hand on his shoulder. This caused him to push you away.
“Get your hands off me.”
“Chad come on-” you were pushed again before Ethan and Wes held him back.
“Do you two little princesses have to step off or something?” Hearing your ex’s voice was not what you needed. Hearing his obnoxious laughter along with his teammates was almost ruining the happiness you felt. “Do you ne—Y/n?!”
You didn’t want to look at him. Cause now you were for sure made. The dream you had of proving yourself was burning down. With a heavy sigh you turned around. Seeing Frankie’s eyes widen in shock. Knowing the act was over. You took off your wig. Hearing gasps from literally everyone.
“You’re a girl?!” Chad asked no longer angry. He couldn’t believe he just physically pushed a girl. And his push hadn’t been gentle.
“Yea sorry about the lying, I had a point to prove.” You moved your gaze towards your coach. He had his arms crossed.
Hearing the laughter coming from Frankie and his teammates, even his coach had laughed. “You can’t play with a girl. It says in the rule book.” The coach said smugly. This was when coach Loomis stepped up. Taking the book from the other coach.
“What rule book? Here in Woodboro we don’t discriminate. Based on gender.” Coach pointed his finger at the other coach’s chest. And you knew it hurt based on how the other coach stumbled back and how rubbed the spot.
“Alright then. You think you can beat us with a girl on your team. Good luck. You’re gonna need it.”
With a wink being shot your way by Coach Loomis you smiled excitedly. You couldn’t believe he was going to let you play. You quickly put your hair up in a ponytail so it wouldn’t be in your face. You were now more confident more comfortable.
*
Winning the game had been everything and more. The way Frankie had run off crying was so funny, extremely hilarious actually. You had been told off by your parents like you had expected but you could tell they were proud. Especially your dad.
You also watched as Chad was being down talked by your brother. Probably telling Chad off for pushing you earlier.
“All this time you were Y/n?” You turned around to see Tara standing there. She had not looked mad or anything. It was more a of curiosity.
“Yes. I’m sorry. I know it was misleading and wrong. For that I’m sorry.” You fiddled with your fingers. Upon hearing laugh you looked up towards her. Her smile brighter than before.
“Are you kidding? If anything I need glasses. Cause wow. Also sorry for kissing yesterday. Kinda thought you were her.” Anthony walked back to his sister and the hot girl, although a bit dejected he was happy you were happy. He had never seen you so happy yet nervous at the same time. By the way Tara was looking at you. He knew she felt the same way. With a dismissive wave he smiled and walked away.
“So? You’re not mad?”
With a shake of her head, she took your hand in hers. “A little bit, but that’s because I was so sexually confused, then you came along and I’ve never been so confused. Now I’m just hoping you feel the same.”
With the smile of your own you grinned back. “I’ve never felt so sure Ms.President.”
With a giggle of her own she wrapped her arms around your neck and brought you down for a long awaited kiss. Now these lips were soft. These were the lips she had been dreaming about. The feeling that had been absent were now there and going crazy. Just like she had wanted.
“I FUCKING KNEW IT!!” Amber yelled. There had been no way she found a boy attractive. Especially since she had the biggest crush on her best friends sister. But that wasn’t relevant.

Thomas A. Merrick moodboard + random headcanons
🥁🎶➤Imagine him to be born around the mid to late 70’s, ok 1986, which makes him a millennial of course. He's very independent as a guy and would be able to live by himself before his 18s but stays with like his momma/gramma. Like at times he'd randomly hear "Thomas A. Merrick!!!" From the distance he drops whatever he's doing and goes home (instead of Spidey senses it's Merrick radar). Maybe he was born and raised in the rural Midwest, but moved to the city during high school.
🥁🎶➤Band's drummer, senior student and a mature and level-headed guy with rugged lumberjack vibe. Last but not the least... Merrick would totally be the band's unofficial ''big brother figure'' (The youngsters might find him annoying because he constantly nags the lil shits). Kick lowkey fw Merrick and calls him ''Tomathy''.
🥁🎶➤Enjoys classics likes country/folk acoustics, maybe ''Home'' by Phillip Phillips, which makes total sense for his more down-to-earth feel that suits his personality. Prob even listen the Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel and John Denver. (man gets teased about his old-school taste, but he shrugs it off and says ''good music is good music, no matter what era it's from) Sometimes he would occasionally play acoustic guitar too
🥁🎶➤Secretly a master at a random skill like woodworking or photography. He has a collection of handmade wooden stuff and a stack of old film cameras that he's slowly restoring. I could also see him enjoy reading classic literature too!
🥁🎶➤Giving that oldest big bro vibe (dealing with teen rascals man) (big bro Merrick is all "you gotta pay me later for this" as he buys a family size takeout meal for the gang), he has more experienced perspective on life and a more responsible outlook however he's always there to offer a stable presence and some solid advice. Seriously he's playing the role, insisting that he's just being ''responsible''.
🥁🎶➤He'd be the one who keeps the band focused and on track, always reminding the others of their scheduled rehearsal times, but also the one who always trying to keep Keegan and Jemíma in line during practice, since they have a tendency to get distracted by their ''tension'' sometimes (''Ok, enough Keegan stop ogling like a sick love puppy with your girlfriend'') ("Hey you two lovebirds remember we're here to play music, not make googly eyes at each other'')
🥁🎶➤Has a habit of mumbling to himself when he's lost in thought, or he's got an obsession with collecting weirdly specific things like vintage drumsticks or rare vinyl records and an old record player.
🥁🎶➤ Merrick also has a secret soft spot for animals, especially dogs. He might have a dog of his own, a loyal mutt named ''Buddy'', who he takes on long walks in the park and spoils with treats.
🥁🎶➤Master at solitaire, probably have a little table set up in the band's rehearsal space and, and every once in a while he'd take break from drumming to shuffle a deck of cards and lay out a few games.

"Can you play?" JJ asked, holding the guitar up.
"You mean you haven't heard him play?" Aden asked with a grin, "Well now he just needs to play," Aden turned to you with a grin.
"Aden, she doesn't want to hear me-"
"Go on then!" JJ turned to you with a grin, placing the guitar in your hands.
You looked at her for a moment before nodding slightly, "Okay, okay fine..." You looked down at the guitar before you look back up, "Any some requests?"
JJ rolled her eyes, "Um... How about Taylor Swift?" She teased, jaw dropped slightly when you nodded. "Wait seriously? You know how to play Taylor Swift songs?"
"Obviously." You answered.
"He's such a Swiftie it hurts," Aden snorted.
You rolled your eyes at him as you got comfortable, holding the base of the guitar on your thigh, you left hand gently holding the neck.
"Now I don't play for just anyone, so yall should feel blessed, a'right?"
JJ rolls her eyes, "Stop stalling,"
"Ma'am I would never. But I feel like this is probably a good place to discuss this-"
"Play the damn thing!" Aden groans.
"Hey, hey, kid, what happened to respectin' your elders?"
"I'm about to become an elder if you don't hurry up," He snaps and you struggle to maintain a straight face.
Naturally, you began to play Love Story (since it was one of the best Taylor Swift songs to date - no further comments). You don't look up - not wanting to see your brother's shit eating grin or JJ's facial expressions. You didn't want to know whether or not she liked it until you had finished playing, otherwise it would put you off.
When the song's finished, you look back at the pair of them, slightly sheepish.
"Wow, you're really good..." JJ said with a smile.
"She's being nice, you're actually shit." Aden chimed.
You snort slightly, "Hilarious. Watch your language, and go do your homework."
"You only want me to go so you can kiss your girlfriend," Aden chimes, grinning when both you and JJ flush. "God, you're like a pair of teenagers!"
"Sorry 'bout him,"
"I hope he was right though..." She said with a small smile.
"Miss Jareau, how scandalous," You grin, leaning in.

This Young Musician is Taking Midtown by Storm - Find Out About The Newest Sensation in Folk-Rock
Nov. 30, 2024
At the closing set of the Gay Goose Cafe’s monthly Young Voices night, the crowd was already thinning when a young, brown-haired girl came up
She wowed the crowd with classic rock covers and some heartfelt originals in a beautiful low alto, sung acoustic with just her guitar to accompany her
That girl is Luna St James, a fifteen year old girl from New Jersey. “I’ve been singing my whole life,” she told Midtown Reporter Janelle DeLuca at a coffee house event last week. “My father taught me everything I know, my family is all musicians.”
She shared that her father passed when she was young, and the guitar she plays most often was inherited. Her voice was almost “unearthly,” in the words of one patron, who added that they recognize her as also a barmaid in a bar in downtown Brooklyn
There’s also speculation that St James is the anonymous online artist and musician who goes by the alias Anïas. The voice is similar, though no one knows if it is truly the artist’s voice.
St James is also the younger sister of Archer, an up and coming musician who’s currently planning an upcoming US tour. She added specifically, “make sure people know I’m not dating him. That is my brother. I am lesbian. If you’ve seen photos of us, stop assuming we’re together, because he’s happily engaged and I have a girlfriend. If you like that stuff, try Alabama”
Written by Jordan Garicia and Janelle DeLuca for Midtown News. As always, tell us what you think below!

Scared Of My Guitar — Luke Hughes
Summary; In which you and Luke both come to terms that your situation is wrong but neither of you can let go.
Content Warning; pure sadness(not really angst) , situation-ship, use of the names Jules, Parker, Katya and Bailee. Readers pov is with the pink lyrics, Luke is with the red.
Pairing; Music Major Reader & UMich Luke
Perfect, easy, so good to me. So why’s there a pit in my gut in the shape of you?
Part of you growing up believed you were unlovable. You were an only child to two busy parents. Your mother was a criminal defense attorney and your father was a renowned neurosurgeon. So a lot of your childhood was being raised by your babysitters over the years. Throughout high school you never had relationships, not because you didn’t want to but because it seemed that no one wanted to have a relationship with you.
So meeting Luke your freshman year at University of Michigan and being oddly pulled to him terrified you. By then you had ultimately decided that you had little to no interest in being someone’s girlfriend. And contrary to your sorority sisters Jules and Parker, that never changed when you started whatever you and Luke were doing. Part of you yearned for a relationship especially watching your best friend Kayta and her boyfriend JJ and Bailee and Ethan have perfect relationships.
But whenever you thought of being someone’s girlfriend it made you nauseous. You just had no interest of being anyone’s girlfriend. And everything someone called you Luke’s girlfriend a doomed feeling arose in your chest.
Barely sleep when you’re sleeping next to me.
Early into whatever you and Luke had started after hooking up in the bathroom at one of the many parties that Rutger and Luca had thrown, you guys began to frequent each other’s beds. You loved your room it was your safe place. You absolutely loved being in your bed. But oddly enough whenever Luke slept over you found it impossible to get to sleep.
You felt like you were being a horrible person, you felt like you were giving to less to Luke than he was giving to you. You were worried that your inability to desire a relationship would somehow hurt Luke so you just kept your mouth shut. Even when it caused you to lose sleep over.
But I’m so scared of my guitar cause it cuts right through to the heart.
You had been cleaning your room up before Luke was coming over for the weekend and you ran your fingers across your guitar, pulling away with dust covered fingers. You had been avoiding using your guitar because your music came from the heart and you were unsure you wanted to voice how you truly were feeling about your situation with Luke.
I can’t lie to it the same way I lie to you
You and Luke had been lying in your bed later that night watching Suits on your tv when Luke spoke, “You should come to the lake house with me this summer. My brothers can’t wait to meet you.” Your eyes darted to your guitar absentmindedly before you smiled softly as Luke looked up at you and you lied straight through your teeth, “Of course I will. That sounds so fun.” Luke hummed as you massaged his scalp lightly, “I’m glad you think so.”
I’m so scared of my guitar if I play it, then I’ll think too hard
Luke had gone to Vancouver with his parents and Jack for Quinn’s birthday so you had a little bit of free time to yourself to be in your head. You sat cross legged on your bedroom floor with your acoustic guitar resting on your lap. You had been brainstorming a song for your spring showcase and it was not going well when Luke was around. He sort of fogged up your musical thought process.
You picked up the guitar and began to strum the cords at random until you felt your cheeks dampen with tears. You set it on the floor beside you and pressed your back against your bed and let the tears stream down your face, not having the energy to fight them back. You barely lifted your head when your bedroom door creaked open. Katya popped her head in and her facial features softened when she noticed you were crying, “Oh baby, are you okay?” You shook your head and sniffled, “I don’t think so. I just don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
Katya sat on the floor beside you and pulled you into a heartfelt embrace, “Nothing is wrong with you sweet girl. Do you want me to call Luke?” You shook your head, “No he’s on his way back from his brothers. I don’t wanna bother him”
So I lay in your arms and pretend that it’s love.
Luke had come straight to your place after he left the airport. He had brought you one of your favorite snacks that you’d mentioned liking when you had met early on. You should have melted inside when he did but you didn’t. Luke had sworn up and down that all he wanted to do for the night was just hold you because he missed his girl. So you let him, you laid in his arms in your bed as Tangled played from your laptop. That had been the only time you had ever in any way convinced yourself that you could love being Luke Hughes’ girlfriend one day
If I was brave and noble like you I’d have the nerve to just stop stringing you along.
Luke wasn’t a bad person by any means, but the relationship or lack of made him feel like he was. It wasn’t that he intentionally started the situation with you with the intention of it not working. He just wanted his brothers to stop bothering him about not being over his ex. And then he met you. You were simple to know and easy to love. Luke would admit he had grown to love you over the year and half you two had been involved.
But he was never in love with you. He loved you because you were funny, he loved you because you watched the same tv shows as him, he loved you because he could beat you in a video game and the next round you’d beat him, he loved you because you were a good friend. Loving you as his friend was easy, he would truthfully call you his best friend. But he never saw you and him being together romantically in a serious relationship.
I’d rather be tied to someone, even if they’re wrong.
But you and Luke fell into the groove of being slightly more than friends but way less than a relationship. You guys would hold hands, go on dates, sleep together and everything in between. But you two were never going to be in a relationship. And Luke was okay with that until his mother invited the both of you to the lake house for the entire summer. And when he asked you about it you agreed a little too quickly. So Luke was sure to make it known to you that you were not his girlfriend.
But when that summer came and you joined him at the lake house and meshed perfectly with everyone in his life, he knew he had made a mistake bringing you. You and his mother had shopped for linens and you had won her over by purchasing what she had picked out instead of letting her. You had won his father over by offering to man the grill and when the steaks turned out better than when his father made them, Jim had asked you to come back every summer. You’d win Jack and Trevor over by beating both of them in beer pong multiple times. You had won Quinn over by your infatuation with working out, none of the other inhabitants of the lake house were up at 4 am going to the gym besides you and Quinn. So two ended up going together every morning for the remainder of the summer.
But despite his entire family adoring you, Luke still wasn’t seeing you in a romantic way. But he wasn’t going to give up what he had to try and find something else.
Say that I’m fine, I tell them all the time as they watch all the light fade away.
Luke’s teammates had begun to notice something was off with Luke following that summer. He had grown irritable and easy to piss off. He had always been spending less time with you. His friends had asked him if he was okay and they always received the same answer, a grumbled out ‘I’m fine.’ They were in no way believing it but they knew better than to push any further.
Cause what if I never find anything better?
Following summer Luke had been conflicted. You were everything a guy could ever dream of. So why wasn’t Luke in love with you? You were smart, kind, funny, good with kids, parents loved you, and you were easily jaw dropping stunning. Luke felt bad keeping you to himself when he wasn’t in love but how would he find anyone better than you?
So we’ll stay together cause how could I ever trade something that’s good for what’s right
So he kept his mouth shut and kept whatever you had going on. He didn’t want to trade a perfectly good friendship with things you’d have in a relationship, for what could have been. He didn’t want to take that chance.
I let the thought in, it’s already done.
Summer had changed everything for you. You fell in love with Luke’s family and Luke himself. He had such a welcoming family who made you truly feel like you were a part of something. You and Luke were laying in his bed, you were sure Luke was asleep. It was 3:02 in the morning. He had to be, he was laying in your arms. You whispered through the darkness secretly hoping Luke heard you, “I’m in love with you Luke Hughes.” You had closed your eyes after and were met with silence like you always were. “Yeah me too.” Oh..
Yeah I lay in your arms and pretend it’s enough.
Luke closed his eyes as he could feel the vibe in his bedroom shift. He was pretending to be asleep to avoid any confrontation with you. Your soft voice filled his ears, “I’m in love with you Luke Hughes.” He should have felt something right?

The Rise: Part III
2017
Soft strumming sounds through the hotel room, mingling with the sound of the heater blowing by the window.
Jake had grown tired of shifting in the bed, trying to get comfortable while simultaneously nearly hanging off the side of it—him, Sam, Josh, Danny and Coley all squeezed onto a king size mattress while his mom, dad, Lori and Dan stay in the connected room next door.
He’s not sure if perhaps it's the nerves of playing a decently sized festival later on that day, or the fact he was crammed into a bed with four other people, but once he wasn’t asleep by 4:30a.m., he gave up even trying.
Across the room from where Jake’s sitting on the edge of the desk chair, his girlfriend stirs in her sleep, rolling over onto her stomach in the space provided by Jake’s absence—at least trying to—her head weighed down by something behind her.
“...Josh, you’re on my hair.” Coley whines out sleepily, the blonde having to grab ahold of her tresses to pull them from under the sleeping Kiszka’s arm that’s found its way onto her pillow.
Josh doesn’t budge, still in the thick of his deep sleep along with Danny and Sam.
She’s awake enough now to notice the light behind her closed lids, lashes fluttering open as the sound of her boyfriend and the heater now reaches her ears.
Gathering her surroundings, she stretches and looks up at the ceiling that’s visible from the desk lamp being placed on the dimmest setting.
Her blue eyes follow the sound of guitar, her head turning on her pillow to see Jake with his bare back to them.
Easing from the mattress, she quietly steps toward him, listening to the small grouping of chords Danny had shown him earlier in the day that he’s been playing around with.
A smirk creeps to his face at the feeling of her fingertips along his shoulders, draping her arms around his neck before her lips press to his cheek.
“I love your brothers…but I’m not packing in bed with them ever again.” She whispers to him, causing him to shake with stifled laughter. “I will sleep on the floor next time.”
“Next time we’ll be at Aunt Stephanie’s and she has more than one bed.” He assures her, gently moving the acoustic guitar aside while the palm of his free hand slides up her arm and gently pulls her to step around the chair and come closer to him.
“Jake, we’re gonna—” She’s cut short when he pecks at her lips, “—Break the chair.” She giggles out quietly, realizing he won’t be satisfied until she’s in his lap.
“Promise?” He asks slyly with a wiggle of his brows and she rolls her eyes as he’s pulling her down on him.
Her legs hang over the right side of the chair, his arms wrapping her up while his lips press to her cheek.
“You can’t sleep?” Coley asks him once she gets settled, her fingers reaching to smooth over the hair of his eyebrows while the palm of his hand runs back and forth over her exposed thigh.
“Not with four other people in the bed, no.” He scoffs, not even mentioning the nerves he feels for their show later.
She knows better than that, though.
“We’ll be fine, Jake. It’ll go good,” She assures him without him even confirming what it is he’s so anxious about, “This is what we wanted when we got a new manager, right?”
He knows she’s right, but playing in front of smaller crowds is a feat within itself to him, but playing at a festival outside the comfort of Frankenmuth and local support? It’s daunting.
People aren’t going to cheer out of obligation to support the local kids trying to make something of themselves.
These strangers here owe them nothing, and will probably give them nothing if they aren’t good enough.
It’s testing to see if they even have a shot at doing this, and nobody is really comprehending that aside from Jake.
Jake doesn’t argue with her, knowing that she’s just trying to help soothe him.
“I love you,” Coley adds, next, hoping it’s some consolation.
And it is, a lot more than she realizes.
Their noses brush, lips meeting briefly before a thud rattles the floor and a sharp, “Fuck!” abruptly leaves his twin brother who has accidentally flung himself from the bed.
Jake and Coley snap around to witness Josh trying to gather himself, half-asleep and discombobulated from where he’s sprawled out on the floor, and look at one another before bursting into silent laughter—getting up to help Josh back to bed.
Jake stomps out his cigarette along with the memory bouncing back and forth in his mind with a plethora of other, “I love you”s he’s heard from his girlfriend—ex-girlfriend.
He wonders what she’s doing right now. He wonders what she’s been doing for the past week.
He’s tried to muster up the balls to just go over to her house since she’s not answering his calls or texts…they have a couple meetings coming up concerning their impending record deal, and she hasn’t acknowledged not a lick of information he or the guys have tried to send to her.
Her profile pictures on social media still have him in them, and she’s still gotten all of their band pictures up, so that’s a good sign, right? She’s not completely done with him or the band. Maybe.
“Psst,” His little brother’s whispering voice breaks his focus, Jake looking up at the back door to see Sammy leaning against it, “Can I have one?”
He motions to the pack of cigarettes Jake’s holding and his older brother blinks at him before huffing out a breath that sends a brief frozen fog into the air.
“Here,” Jake relents, handing one off along with his lighter.
“Thanks,” Sam pats his shoulder and sits next to him, blowing smoke and studying the way Jake looks tired today—exhausted, even, “You, uh, you talk to Coley at all?”
“She’s not talking to me,” Jake informs him quietly.
“Me and Josh tried calling her earlier this week and she didn’t answer. She’s talking to Ronnie just fine, though,” He says it optimistically, and Jake scoffs.
“Because Ronnie isn’t us,” Jake mutters.
“Why does she hate all of us, now? I didn’t invite Amy,” Sammy defends himself with raised brows.
Jake glares at him.
“What? I didn’t. And you should’ve just told mom the situation and she wouldn’t have had you invite her, either.”
“I’m not telling mom I slept with Amy way back when, are you crazy? She doesn’t need to know that—she doesn’t want to know that,” Jake gawks, wrinkling his nose at the thought of telling his mom how he lost his virginity.
A minute of quiet goes by, Jake silently realizing yet another task to be done in the midst of this clusterfuck.
“I gotta get my shit from her house,” It’s a dreaded tone that wraps around the words while Sam lets out a sigh.
“I can go get it—or ask Danny to grab it when he’s over there with Jules,” Sammy suggests.
“It’s probably all cut up and thrown in a burn pile,” Jake says, next, with a scoff, “Coley’s the type.”
“Nah,” Sammy assures him, “She may be getting it cursed by some witch doctor, but she wouldn’t destroy your stuff.”
Brown eyes look at him unamused while the youngest Kiszka giggles at the thought.
If Jake goes over there to get his own stuff, she’ll have to acknowledge him, right? She’ll have to talk to him, or at least feel the need to, won’t she?
“Fuck it,” Jake sighs after thinking on it for another moment, standing up, “I’m just gonna go get it.”
“Now?” Sam inquires as his brother opens the back door to step inside.
“Yeah.”
“…Can I come?” He inquires, next, and Jake raises a brow, “In case she, like, tries to run you over or something.”
“I don’t think she’s gonna try to—” Jake stops speaking, thinking twice about it, “Yeah. C’mon.”
COLEY: After we broke up we didn’t speak for a week. I’d see where he and the guys tried to reach out, but I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to say. I was embarrassed because of how things escalated so quickly, and I didn’t know how to admit I was wrong for it at the time…well, I mean, I knew how to admit I was wrong. I just didn’t want to swallow my pride and do that.
House of Pain’s “Jump Around” is blaring through the speakers of Coley’s stereo, thumping through the house while the smell of lemon-scented cleaning chemicals, vanilla candles, coffee, and maybe a stray cigarette or two smoked out of a window infiltrates the air as Jake and Sam ease into the home, the Payne’s spare key in-hand.
“We’re breaking into her house,” Sam whispers to him as they stand in the foyer.
“Kinda but it’s fine,” Jake assures him.
She’s the only one home, apparently, because both of her parents are at work, her little sisters are at school and Jules is out with Danny and his sister.
He glances at the notes on his phone—the list of things he’s left here that he needs.
His Stevie Ray Vaughan t-shirt, a couple of his bracelets, three of his flannels, a pair of boxers…
“…I’m a dick if I ask for gifts I’ve given her, right?” He double-checks with Sammy.
“The biggest dick. Not in a good way,” Sam replies with a nod.
“Figured,” He frowns, eyeing the list, “Okay, wish me luck. I’m going in.”
Jake steps down the hallway to Coley’s bedroom where the music grows even louder.
“Coley!” He calls to give her a little warning, thinking she doesn’t hear him.
When she hears his voice over the booming rap, she drops her brows and stops wiping the dust from the baseboard in her bathroom.
He’s about to repeat himself when he hears the stereo shut off, followed by the stomps of her feet in the floor before she yanks her bedroom door open.
She, too, looks as if she hadn’t slept in days—her blonde hair is piled on her head, dark bags cast a shadow under her blue eyes, and she’s still in her pajamas.
Hearing his voice was bad enough, but seeing him is nearly unfathomable.
Maybe he’s here to apologize—or at least talk things out.
Coley holds out hope until the first thing he says to her is a polite, “So…I-I’m, uh, I’m gonna need my things back.”
SAMMY: I’m not sure what exactly he said to her, but I knew it wasn’t good when I saw her tear through the living room with a fistful of his possessions.
“There’s your shit!” She screams at him as his things scatter to the front porch upon her throwing them out the door.
“You’re being a little dramatic about this—”
“—It’s been a week, Jake, and when you finally come to see me you just want your stuff?! Two fucking years, and about half of my sanity is what I’ve given you and that band, and all you have to say to me is, ‘I’m gonna need my things back’?!”
“Can you blame me for only saying that when this is what you’re doing right now?” Jake motions to the mess she’s made while there’s the crack of a can opening behind them, followed by the hiss of carbonation.
Jake and Coley turn to see Sam sipping loudly on a Sprite he’s snagged from the Payne’s fridge.
He notices them staring at him, and stops.
“Sorry…I’m gonna…just…” Sammy steps past them and out of the door to give them some privacy, calling out, “I’ll be in the car.”
Jake takes a second glance at his belongings on the porch.
Everything seems to be there except one thing he forgot to put on the list…
“Where’re my picks?”
“You’re not getting those back,” She doesn’t mince her words, crossing her arms and glaring at him for even asking.
“...But…they’re mine, Coley—”
“--That you gave to me, Jake.”
“I technically didn’t. I left them here. Which, I didn’t mind at the time, but now we’re…” He can’t say it aloud, not wanting to even speak the words, we’re not together anymore.
Coley rolls her jaw.
“...Unless we are,” He continues, furrowing his brows, “I don’t know what the fuck we are, actually, because you won’t talk to me about it.”
Not saying another word just yet, she breathes out and steps past him to walk out of the door and pick his things up from the floor of the porch.
“Coley, I got it,” He says calmly, immediately going to pick the things up himself.
“No, I got it,” She tells him.
“Let me help you, alright?” Jake refuses to leave her be, and she relents, gently handing items to him.
When it’s all gathered in his arms, he watches as she steps back into her house and turns to face him.
He expects a wordless goodbye, readying to turn on his heels and head back to his car to go home and get drunk thinking about the run they’ve had the last couple of years.
But then she stands in the doorway with the door open, leaning against its frame with crossed arms as if waiting for him…
“C’mon, Jake, it’s not rocket science,” Sammy speaks to himself, watching his older brother and Coley from the comfort of Jake’s car—with the enthusiasm of one watching a sports game on TV—as Jake hesitates to decipher what exactly his ex-girlfriend is getting at without saying a word, “Just go for it, man.”
Jake’s belongings fall to the porch once again, and are forgotten the moment his lips crash into hers. They stumble back into the house, his hands hauling her thighs around his hips.
Sam lets out a breath of relief at the sight of Jake kicking the door shut behind them.
He feels lighter, more at ease.
Jake and Coley are going to be fine—Greta Van Fleet is going to be fine.
Coley’s not going anywhere.
COLEY: I don’t think I would’ve been able to stay away too much longer even if he hadn’t showed up at my door…I was just stupid and petty. I loved him. No amount of anger could ever make me forget that.
There’s a lull in the air around them, slow and satisfied, Coley fast asleep tucked into Jake’s side, buried under covers to shield her naked body from the chill that seems to be more stubborn in her room—even with the heater going on full-blast.
Jake’s fingertips run up and down her shoulder, his cheek resting in her hair that’s sprawled across the pillow they’re sharing.
“I’m so sorry—I didn’t mean it,” Is all she could say, the words practically forced from her with his tongue lapping at her clit, while his hands held her thighs to keep her from getting up from his face.
That, of course, led to her grinding into his mouth while reaching her hand down his taut abdomen to grab him in her fist, wasting no time in getting him in her mouth.
It ended in them covered in sweat, Jake emptying himself into her spasming cunt, their vision spotty and foreheads pressed together, lips swollen from biting and licking at one another, their hearts working over-time as a result of exertion.
He figures they’ll talk about it all when she wakes up, officially apologize to one another, and work out where to go from here.
He wants it to be as simple as this means they’re back together and she’s back with the band, but he knows things are never that simple with Coley.
And if she does come back, who’s to say she won’t just walk out again at some point?
It worries him to say the least, but he can’t bring himself to really believe she’d do that…
“Coley,” He whispers, nudging at her, watching her brows scrunch slightly in her sleep. His hand brushes hair from her face, rubbing along her cheek, causing her to stir, “Coley,” Jake repeats, a little louder this time.
“Hmm?” She hums out, stretching, trying to pry her eyes open.
“I’m gonna go shower—I’m not leaving, yet, okay?”
With a nod, her eyes close once again as she sleepily lets out a, “Okay, baby.”
Baby.
The pet-name answers the question of where they go from here.
He sits up and leans over her to kiss her cheek, before heading to her bathroom.
Coley’s eyes flutter open, looking up at the ceiling above her bed that’s collaged in their pictures…
At least she knows he doesn’t hate her, right? He wouldn’t have made up with her if that were the case.
She can’t help but wonder if this means they’re back together—if she’s a part of the band again…she also can’t help but wonder what happened after she left Yankee Springs.
Hearing him cut the shower on, she whisks all of her unsettled thoughts away to ease from the bed with a wince and step towards the bathroom.
Jake’s already basking in the warm water streaming from the shower head, his long hair falling over his shoulders in cascade with the water as his eyes stay closed.
He doesn’t realize he’s not alone until he feels Coley’s lips ghost over his shoulder blade.
A giggle floats over the haze of steam escaping over the shower curtain when he turns to face her, grabbing gently at her jaw and kissing her with a hum from his throat.
“I’m sorry,” He tells her when he pulls away, his voice hushed by the sound of the water droplets hitting the floor of the bathtub, “I should’ve told you about—”
“—I shouldn’t have reacted like that, though…quitting the band, I mean. It wasn’t fair to the guys,” She replies, “I guess I need to talk to them, too, and apologize.”
“They understand you were drunk and upset…they’re not mad at you,” He assures her, watching relief show on her face as she lets out an eased breath…
“So,” She starts, next, watching as he grabs her bottle of shampoo, “What’re these meetings we have coming up?”
His thick brows furrowing in concentration as he tries to recall verbatim what he was told.
“One is with Jason Flom—”
“—Who?” She inquires, his eyes grow wide.
“Baby, Jason Flom? Lava Records?”
“Oh,” Coley’s heart drops to her stomach momentarily, her expression shifting.
“What is it?”
She doesn’t want to ruin his high, his excitement clear in his tone, but she can’t help but hold her horses for the time being.
“What if it’s just another suit telling us what they expect of us—which doesn’t include anything we actually want to do?”
“Then it’s just another suit, and we tell him, ‘No,’ just like we’ve done with the others,” He shrugs, but Coley can hear in his voice that he’s tired of those scenarios.
JAKE: We were all exhausted with getting our hopes up just to be all but insulted when it comes down to creative liberties with their own band. People wanted to own us—make money off of us with little interest in what we actually had to say to the world through our music.
“I’m not worried about it,” He adds, suds piled high in his hair while the fruity smell of the shampoo shrouds them, “It’ll work out.”
He rinses his hair, and the two of them shuffle around so she can wet her hair and wash it, too, while he grabs her conditioner.
“What about you and your mom? Are you guys good, now?” He asks her, next.
“We’re speaking again…we never really talked about anything that happened, but we’re okay, I guess,” Coley tells him.
“After we broke up, right?” He partially jokes, and she quirks a smile.
“She actually told me I shouldn’t have broken things off so suddenly,” She explains, and he raises his brows.
“Really?”
“Mhmm…believe or not she does like you. She just doesn’t necessarily agree with how we got together, but…neither of us really think that was smart, either, so…I’m just tired of fighting with her over it.”
“Well, maybe she is, too,” He suggests as they switch spots again.
“Maybe,” She mumbles, “I’m not worried about it,” She adds, repeating his own words, “It’ll work out.”
He smiles down at her with a nod, and an encouraging, “Yes, it will,” before planting another kiss to her lips.
A knock at the bathroom door sounds, the two of them jumping slightly with the sudden racket.
“Um…Jake?!” Sammy’s voice is muffled by the door, and Coley and Jake look at one another with huge eyes and mouths dropped open in shock.
“Shit, we forgot Sammy!” Coley whispers while Sam continues.
“Hate to interrupt the love fest, but, I’m just gonna take the car back home if Coley’s alright with driving you back tonight?!”
Sam can hear their laughter from where he stands on the other side of the door.
“Yeah!” Jake calls back, his girlfriend grabbing at his arm to keep from doubling over as her laughter shrills through the air, “That’s fine, man! Keys are on Coley's floor!”
“Got it!” Sam replies, laughing to himself when he finds Jake’s discarded pants and pulls the key from one of the pockets, standing and glancing around Coley’s room briefly because he’s never been in here before…his eyes land on one attraction in particular, brows furrowing as he steps closer to the bed with his eyes focused overhead on the cluster of photos on the ceiling—all of which of Coley and Jake, “Ah, shit,” Sammy mumbles, “He’s so screwed.”

“The masterplan was, there was no masterplan. Except to write good songs. Oh yeah, and to be the biggest band in the world. A modest ambition, but it put Oasis on the road to greatness.”
OASIS - THE MASTERPLAN (1998)
Plus some more pics of Oasis albums we have at our stations, sent to us promotionally by Sony Canada on behalf of Creation Records.
Liner notes below the cut:
The masterplan was, there was no masterplan. Except to write good songs. Oh yeah, and to be the biggest band in the world. A modest ambition, but it put Oasis on the road to greatness. "Me mam always used to say, God loves a tryer," Noel Gallagher says. "And I went, 'Why? Has he got a car?' She went, 'No, a tryer-Not a tyre." So the Gallagher boys did try, and if you want proof of how hard they tried then hear these tracks - B-sides, all of them, made by a band who believe a B-side is no excuse not to care. Outside of Britain it hasn't always been easy to hear Oasis B-sides. But in Britain or anywhere else, they sound majestic played back-to-back.
We open heroically with ACQUIESCE which is one of those all-time "shoulda been an A-side" numbers. (Creation Records certainly thought so, and who could blame them?) The song is about friendship in the widest sense and not, as often speculated, about the Gallagher brothers themselves. Noel sings the chorus because, he claims, Liam couldn't reach the high notes. Or he was in the pub. Whatever, it was written on a slow train to Wales and made possible because Noel likes to travel with his guitar. It's no surprise that Acquiesce is present: via the Internet, Oasis fans were asked to vote on this album's choice of tracks.
But the inclusion of UNDERNEATH THE SKY might have been "influenced" by Noel, who cites this as a favourite song. Its happy-wanderer feel was inspired by a pocket-book of travellers' quotes he came across, and the jollity's enhanced by a four-handed piano part courtesy of him and Bonehead (who tackles the tinkly bits, apparently).
TALK TONIGHT is another self-selecting choice, from Noel's acoustic repertoire. Beautifully tender, its thoughtful air derives from a Texas studio session: Noel was back after his brief flounce from the band on a US tour: "Me and Liam had a disagreement, probably about what shoes he was wearing, so I'd fucked off to Las Vegas." It was an Oasis fan in San Francisco who talked him down off the ledge. The same reflective interlude gave us another song, in HALF THE WORLD AWAY (which is Paul Weller's favourite Oasis track). The pressure was already building, though, when Noel began writing (IT'S GOOD TO BE FREE, at the start of those troubled American dates. He finished it in Las Vegas: "Cocaine psychosis," reckoned producer Owen Morris, detecting a Fear And Loathing vibe in that sinister guitar feedback. Accordion expert Bonehead donates the breezy coda, which lends a misleadingly cheerful touch to what was a deeply fraught Oasis session: "Believe me, it was horribe. it wasn't funny at all." The Morse Code segment, by the way, is meaningless so far as anyone knows.
The oldest song here is GOING NOWHERE, written around 1990 before the band was signed ("It's about what we were going to do when we got a shitload of money off Creation"); it was not recorded until after the Be Here Now album, when there was a hankering for something less massive. Noel and drummer Alan White are the only Oasis members involved, with piano, brass and horn players to bring a vaguely Burt Bacharach atmosphere. Noel only wishes he knew another rhyme for "car" and
"Jaguar." Nearly as vintage in its origins, however, was HEADSHRINKER: recorded for Some Might Say in '95, it was written about three years earlier, during the band's punkier phase. It's also one of Liam's greatest vocals, partly because of the freedom from pressure that doing B-sides can offer. Although a load of drug references were binned from the lyric, a manic edge remains to this tale of an early girlfriend Liam could not shake off. It may start out like The Faces' Stay With Me, but Noel says he was thinking of The Rolling Stones at the time. And ROCKIN' CHAIR dates from Noel's days in Manchester, planning to leave his own girlfriend and dreaming of the good life down in London.
FADE AWAY first surfaced on Cigarettes & Alcohol, and was probably elbowed off Definitely Maybe in favour of Slide Away. Since then the chorus alone has guaranteed its popularity with Oasis fans: "The dreams we have as children fade away...
It's about growing up but not growing old," says Noel, echoing a John Lennon belief that you won't get anything unless you've got the vision to imagine it. It's a classic Buzzcocks trick, this, placing a wistful lyric inside the most glorious rush of punk rock energy. That said, it was a relief for Noel to do a track like THE SWAMP SONG, which required no words at all. Alongside Roll With It, The Swamp Song was a warm-up exercise for the Morning Glory sessions; it was also used to set the sound levels at Glastonbury, which is where Alan White's thunderous drumming was taped. Later on, when Paul Weller turned up for Champagne Supernova, he added The Swamp Song's harmonica and duelling guitars: "Very rock'n'roll," chortles Noel, "but we didn't manage to stand back to back once, which I was very upset about!" Its working title "The Jam" was scrapped, tragically.
Contrary to previous credits, I AM THE WALRUS was not recorded at the Glasgow Cathouse, but at a conference of Sony executives, gathered to hear Creation's new signings. Oasis used to play it at gigs in Liverpool, as an act of bravado aimed at the local bands, even The Beatles never did this one live. Technical note: any "looseness" in Noel's guitar playing here is attributed to half a bottle of Sony-financed gin. Speaking of guitars, the soaring LISTEN UP used to boast a solo much longer than the one you hear in this version; Liam had wanted it shorter, so Noel had disagreed on principle ("If you don't argue with Liam he gets upset"). Four years later, Liam has got his way. The poppy STAY YOUNG, meanwhile, was first ear-marked to be "the Digsy's Dinner" of Be Here Now, until Noel wrote Magic Pie and dumped it. Stay Young wound up on D'You Know What I Mean?, and could have been another A-side if its composer had actually liked the song. But he doesn't. (Audiences, who have more sense than songwriters, all love it.)
But we end with a track that Noel Gallagher is definitely proud of. In fact he regards THE MASTERPLAN as his finest piece of work. Even Liam now wishes he'd sung it himself. The writing came easily, inspired in equal measure by a Japanese hotel corridor and a good, relaxing smoke. "I'm the best lyricist in Oasis, is how I like to say it," Noel shrugs. "But to me this sums up your journey through life. All we know is that we don't know." Is it, we might wonder, sung to Liam? ("Please brother let it be") Again the answer is No.
"We're all brothers and sisters," says Noel. And so we are, and so are Oasis whether named
Gallagher, McGuigan, White or indeed Bonehead. They're brothers and they're tryers, all five. They try for themselves and they try for the rest of us. No wonder God loves them.

ATWOW MODERN AU!
( a.k.a my hot take on all the teens if they were humans)
part 1 part 2
neteyam
- I cannot stress this enough this man listens to Frank Ocean LIKE NOBODY'S BUSINESS, if given the chance to inject his lyrics into his veins Neteyam would be the one to stick the needle in himself
- plays sports, (soccer for 6 years and swim team for 3) people think his dad encouraged him and his brother but they joined willingly, it was their mother who wanted them to join afterschool activities because she does not know what to do with that much energy when she already has Tuk bouncing from wall to wall
- wore those thick Harry Potter glasses to school before he learned about contacts
- wants to take up filmmaking when he's older, already has a YouTube channel where he posts the most innane vlogs with the messiest layouts and time cuts but his subscribers eat it up everytime
- wants to produce music too, all of his siblings are all musically trained (as in took voice lessons and music lessons as children as afterschool activities because again, Neytiri deserves a break plus they inherited her singing voice and she did not want it to go to waste as she should) everyone of them knows how to play at least 2 instruments. Neteyam plays the piano, the drums, and acoustic guitar. He's also one of those people who makes music from zippers and glass clinking and the finished product is annoyingly good
- extremely early or 5 minutes late to things there is no in between.
- is left handed
- used to like lego as a child, his dad got mad at him because the pieces would stick to the wheels of his wheelchair and would threaten to melt them down into coasters
- loves everything mango flavoured
- wired earbuds >>> headphones
- this man studies his ASS OFF and it PAYS OFF, with being on two varsity teams, the oldest brother, trying to get into an Ivy League school, and trying to maintain his hobbies he always has free time. It's so weird because his schedule is so packed and you see him chilling on his bed all the time like how does he do it
- was the password child (emphasis on was)
- has a huge ass sweet tooth I SWEAR (you'd never even expect it)
- his jersey number is 12
- THIS. MAN. PULLS. He doesn't even try to but he's a gentleman, good with kids, smart, active in school, good in sports, well-spoken, what more could you want? Plus he's got his Dad's charm and his Mom's charisma, everybody's hallway crush, you can see a throng of girls crowding the bleachers everytime the soccer team or the swim team have practice. (Most of them were there for Neteyam, and he says hello to everyone of them like the clueless son of a bitch he is)
- definitely does skin care (he has a 5 step regimen he does religiously)
- introverted extrovert
- learned how to drink at home (like the good boy he is) but can take 6 straight shots without making a face
- is always on his little sister's YouTube channel as a guest, always starts the video by addressing her brother by his yt handle instead of Neteyam. (they make slime and do unboxing videos and he dosent always say it but he enjoys them)
- his dad would bring him to boy's night with his Marine friends so Neteyam could get used to how rowdy his dad's friends were (my dad did the same thing with me that's literally the best I could explain it) Neytiri gets mad at him for it because she dosent want Neteyam to be around those kind of people
- has had 1 serious girlfriend before but she broke things off with him because she felt too trapped and started getting feelings for another guy (she never told him the last part but it was implied) since then he's only entertained a few people but he never got into another serious relationship :((
- almost barely recites in class but he is ALWAYS that one guy that saves the class when the teacher asks the hard questions
- he wasn't the type to go out of his way and make new friends when he was little plus they never matterred to him, Neytiri would often worry about him but Jake said he'd be fine
- has the neatest room and the messiest at the same time BCS HE HAS AN ASSLOAD OF POSTERS AND STICKERS ON HIS WALL, hangs up lightsabers, world maps, banners of his preferred college, used to hang awards but took them down so Lo'ak wouldn't have to feel bad
- has strong alcohol tolerance (Sully genes fr fr)
- taught himself how to fix his own hair, it takes him hours so that's why if he wants to try out a new hairstyle he wakes up at 3 just to devote 3 more hours into fixing his hair (he'd be doing his hair in front of the mirror at like 4:15 and he stumbles upon Lo'ak looking groggy af so Neteyam asks him if he'd been dragged awake by a tractor and Lo'ak goes I haven't slept yet and left)
- hates math but gets the questions on the take home sheets correct EVERYTIME, would complain on the workload but would get it done in like 2 hours. He loves Biology and History, still hates math, reads classic books even though he dosent understand shit, has a love hate relationship with social studies after this one time when he was 10 and had a nosebleed WHILE presenting in class.
- oh also did I mention this man is a photographer?? BECAUSE HE IS A PHOTOGRAPHER. Has an arsenal of janky film cameras to professional dlsr cameras on a shelf in his room. His pride and joy.
- always has to be doing something with his hands
- saves money and dosent like to ask for allowance but everytime they get a ride from their dad he slips them all 50 bucks like they're doing a drug deal
- his dad's a stickler abt posture (because of his spinal injury) he hated it when he was younger but now he's older he finds himself reminding his siblings (kiri surprisingly) unconsciously
- you can bring him to his mom's native country and leave him there and he'd be fine because EVERYONE WOULD THINK HE'S A LOCAL WITH HOW GOOD HIS SPANISH IS
lo'ak
- is more focused on music than Neteyam is because if you'd be handing around an electric guitar Neteyam would start playing the solo to Beer by Itchyworms, Kiri would start playing Moon Song by Phoebe Bridgers, and Lo'ak would decline BUT if forced he would shred the hell out of that guitar by playing Layla by Derek and the Dominoes
- draws a lot more too, Jake couldn't see how good Lo'ak really was until he won an award at school. (Jake found himself looking at that award on the Sully display case in their living room often)
- does graffiti art, skateboards, drinks monster on a daily basis, the stereotypical sk8r boy we all know and love (avril lavigne is typing) although he does not like monster he liked red bull more and everyone knows this
- wore a crop top to school once (no one noticed because he always wears baggy clothes)
- could be a straight A student if he cared (his parents remind him that everyday) likes biology too because his sister likes plants and his mom was a biology major, hates calculus and trigonometry. (Was the child that would cry on the dining table while his dad is this 🤏🏼 close to popping a nerve from repeating the problem to him over and over until he gets it)
- shaved off one side of his head after an argument with his dad and did not regret it
- if there's a new soccer line in Nike he's clearing the shelves out in no time
- has dyscalculia and gets Neteyam to help him (he never asks Neteyam just knows) He'd never get mad at his baby bro for taking hours upon hours on 1 single equation, but Lo'ak would get mad at himself that's why he's a visual learner
- put him in a room with boys his age and his littlest sister and he'd still go to his sister
- on the soccer team just like Neteyam, also on the swim team once they moved closer to their school because swim practice takes longer than soccer and they'd have to wait extra long for the bus
- when they'd visit their mother's province he'd teach the little kids in the neighborhood how to play soccer :,)
- hates that he's always Tuk's practice dummy for make up but lets her do it anyway *cue Lo'ak running away from a 7 year old in a tutu clutching her makeup brushes and eyeshadow palettes*
- is a night owl... enough said
- listened to Kanye West bcs of his dad's marine friends but heard about the issue at the VMAs and has been a swiftie since then (don't tell tsireya that also his favorite album is definitely reputation)
- is always late to things HE REALLY TRIES TO BE EARLY but Eywa says no
- would always be in that group of boys that play ice ice water during recess and lunch (they never get him because bros faster than speedy gonzales)
- I feel like aside from Jake seeing Lo'ak as the younger version of himself (brash, immature, impulsive) he was always in and out of the hospital because of injuries and medical conditions. Pretty much the second foundation as to why Lo'ak and Jake have such a sensitive relationship
- loves rice meals more than his siblings do, he will not function properly without rice in his system (he got that from Neytiri)
- makes ur mom jokes CONSTANTLY he does it so often that his other siblings are spiritually, mentally, and physically incapable of making that joke to others
- the pickiest eater (pickier than tuk but he was the 10+ allergy kid growing up so his parents constantly get him to try foods he was allergic to before but he'd just throw a fit)
- knows how to patch up wounds better than most nurses because of how many times he fell off his skateboard tryna show off to girls in the skatepark (or just in general)
- EVERYONE WAS SHOCKED THAT HE COPPED TSIREYA. As in Hina Tsireya Maihoa, student body vice president, it girl, must I go on? Anyways she is WAY out of his league not even Lo'ak could comprehend he got the finest girl in the school to fall for him
- always referred to as Neteyam's younger brother :((
- would literally dislocate his knee to ensure a win for their soccer team
- the type to carry around lighters to play with them
- if he's angry he resorts to drawing or taking a jog for several hours (both involving very loud music)
- was scared that he couldn't grow taller than Kiri or Neteyam when he was 12 but now he's taller than Kiri and 2 inches away from towering over Neteyam
- always carries around pads (shh) and hair ties in his bag
- listens to The Weeknd the same way Neteyam listens to Frank Ocean. Endlessly.
- hates loud places unless he's the one making all the noise
- used to want to become a pilot when he was younger like his Aunt Trudy before she died
- loves sour candy I mean LOVES sour candy (he and neytiri could go through those jumbo value sour patch kids and would not need water)
- developed a habit of scratching himself when he's nervous or on the verge of a panic attack (he's getting better now that he's been open about it to his siblings and now that he's got tsireya)
- has a blue takis obsession
- collects stickers for his skateboard and his room (he got that habit from neteyam)
- dosent fold and prefers to hanger, he'd be caught DEAD before he ever folded a shirt
- hates bell peppers (they just couldn't get him to eat them, the reason? Unknown)
kiri
- GAY. SO. SO. SO GAY.
- would have crystals in her room because let's be fucking fr they work like a CHARM she could get anyone she wanted (she really could though she pretty af) but chooses not to (because then the entire highschool would be on their knees)
- forced herself to have crushes on guys in elementary just so the other girls wouldn't find them weird for not liking anyone
- when she reached middle school she came out as bisexual and everyone made fun of her for it, would always go home crying with neteyam and lo'ak who had split open knuckles (half the time)
- terrified as fuck that jake and neytiri wouldn't accept her but then they did??? And she was like holy shit??? Because Neytiri was raised in a very very religious household and that gave little Kiri heart palpitations every time they went to the mall and a gay couple would pass them by and Neytiri gives them weird looks...
- her room is full of plants but we all know that (she may or may not have named all of them)
- always fighting over the aux with Lo'ak and Tuk (either it's gunna be another round of Kyoto, Reminder, or Girl in the Mirror)
- always layers her jewelry, they could be getting McDonald's drive thru and she'd be wearing 7 bracelets on each hand 4 necklaces on her neck
- would fucking OBLITERATE you in scrabble, they're literally just that comprehensively literate
- is ambidextrous
- joined theatre for shits and giggles but ended up loving it so much that she's the president now
- is the last one to die in a horror movie (final girl shit)
- always volunteered to bring home the class pet
- would always get bullied for her skin colour too, growing up with their dark skinned siblings, UNTIL JAKE WHEELS INTO THE ELEMENTARY SCHLOL BUILDING ONE DAY MAKING THOSE 9 YEAR OLDS QUIVER IN THEIR LIL BOOTIES
- she was the 'English teacher' gay
- once she reached highschool she started becoming more open with her sexuality and also came out of her shell a little more, she volunteered in animal shelters and that's where she met Tsireya and they've been besties ever since 🤞🏼
- makes cooking videos on tiktok, did that salt prank on both Jake and Neytiri (they have been reluctant to try anything Kiri has made since then)
- would give you 20 bucks if you needed it no exceptions (just pay her back most of it you'll be fine)
- if you wake up at 4 in the morning to use the bathroom and pass by her room and see them trimming their hair you didn't...
- also never initiated fights as a kid except this one time where they were told to make a diorama of their family (ya'll know where I'm going with this) some kids caught on that she wasn't exactly related to Jake and Neytiri, only that they took them under their wing when her biological mother Grace died, anywho they said that Grace 'took one good look at Kiri and decided to pass away because who wanted someone as deformed as her as a daughter' she had been sharpening a pencil at the time and let's just say she found a better use with the graphite than solving another math equation
- lit incense once and Jake thought she was smoking a joint
- on that note she always smells earthy and floraly
- she comes prepared or not prepared at all. Either their sage green cross bottle bag has 3 different kinds of gum, an extra charging cord, and alcohol wipes, or her tote bag has receipts, spare change, and tissue from this fancy Italian place they went to 2 nights prior
- has dry lips and peels them
- makes their own jewelry
- is a morning person through and through but she sleeps at ungodly hours of the night and still look more well-rested than their brothers who get like 8 hours of sleep AT BEST, meanwhile Kiri be out here making whole ass breakfast quiches and onion and potato foccacia
- has tried writing plays before (they never end up finishing them but the planning is what excites them the most) the only person she ever allows to read it is lo'ak, not that she dosent trust neteyam it's that him and her just click in a different way
- bi, lesbian, bi, unlabeled, bi, lesbian until she met Rotxo (starts giggling like a maniac) when he was trying to grab a 4lb weight on top of the shelf and got startled by a projectile being pelted at him and drops the weight on Kiri's head. He rushes them into the infirmary and stayed there with her until lunch time (he missed 3 classes which he's never EVER done before), they ate lunch together in the clinic just the two of them, laughing so hard that peas started shooting out of Kiri's nose, making them laugh harder, but Kiri got sent home right after and lemme just say that Rotxo looked like a wounded puppy the rest of the day
- identifies as queer and are a demi girl
- tsireya and her would go for sunset drives all the fucking time, they'd order take out, park by the one larkspur tree by the lake and start dishing out on the school tea AND LEMME TELL YOU! TSIREYA. DOES. NOT. MISS. She's literally friends with everyone who was anyone in pandora high and the tea is ENDLESS
- whenever Neytiri takes Neteyam and Lo'ak out for grocery shopping (she likes having them around because they'd be obligated to bring the groceries with them while she goes to Sephora to buy some skin care and if they don't complain she'll buy them ice cream) that leaves Jake alone with the girls at home and they'd blast 2000's songs through their big ass speakers while they dance around the (still very dirty) living room in pajamas and they often forget to cook the rice because of it, they would always ALWAYS pull up Rihanna's superbowl performance and vibe to that while they hurry and clean the house because the 10 minute mark has started and Neytiri would be home ANY FUCKING MINUTE
- her and tsireya bond over lo'ak's quirks
I had too much fun with this... anyways that's it for the Sully siblings! I'm gunna be doing part 2 which covers our beloved Metkayina Triad <3 will probably make this into a hs series but who tf knows... stay tuned if you are!

A master post about my Nameless Ghoul OC, Glacier
So this is a post about my Ghoul oc, Glacier, who will be one of the main characters in my Ghost x TF2 fan fiction when/if I post it. If you're unfamiliar with the lore behind Ghost, I do explain little bits in here. Ask me if you have questions about him! --------
This also contains some headcanons of the official Ghouls. I will make a post about the Prequelle/Impera Ghouls soon. Post begins below!
Who and what is he?
Glacier is an Air Ghoul in the band Ghost, he plays the drums and does backup vocals. While Air Ghouls usually play keys in the Ghost project (the in lore name for the band), Glacier can play piano, he is however, much more gifted at the drums, resulting in two drummers being in the band instead of just one. Since I added him to the current Ghoul line up, that makes 9 instrumentalists instead of 8. Glacier is the younger brother of Cirrus, and was summoned at the same time as both her and her girlfriend, Cumulus, all three are Air Ghouls. I haven’t really figured out what his voice sounds like yet, but it’ll most likely have a soft Australian accent to it (like myself), I also imagine that he sings kinda like Hugh Jackman in "The Greatest Showman".
I’ll quickly list off the other Ghouls: Aether, rhythm guitarist, Dewdrop, lead guitarist, Rain, bass guitar, Mountain, drums, Cirrus, keyboard/keytar, Cumulus, keyboard and backing vocals, Swiss, semi-acoustic guitar, tambourine, backing vocals, and Sunshine, vocals and tambourine.
The majority of the stuff in here is based on my headcanons mixed with the fandoms’ ones. Any other Ghouls I mention in this are actual Ghouls, not ocs.
His pack (and a small Ghost lore dump)
Pack dynamics are generally centred around one Ghoul (or human), Glacier’s pack follows Aether and Copia, since Copia is the current leader of the Church, making him Papa Emeritus IV. To people on the outside, Ghoul packs can seem like a big polycule, but it’s something much deeper than that, it’s a relationship built on fierce loyalty for their leader. Usually a pack has multiple relationships inside of it, this is the same with this pack, there are currently 6 different relationships among the pack members. Ghouls sometimes like to sleep in a “pile” (just picture a cluster of 9 vaguely humanoid figures cuddled together), the pack leader is usually at the centre of this pile.
Appearance
He’s around 6’1, and has a nice bit of fat to him, meaning he has stretch marks on his belly, hips, and under his arms. His hair is mostly a lovely royal blue that has hints of different shade of blue in it, the rest of the hair on his head is a dark brown, he also has a short beard (pretty much just long stubble). The fur that runs across his back, chest, shoulders, and tail is the same brown as the hair on his head. His skin is a light grey, with a large smattering of freckles across his face, arms, and shoulders. His eyes are a glowing green, with the classic slit pupils. Like most Ghouls he has pointed ears that can be moved independently (like a cat, or drawing from my inspiration, the Na’vi), he also has a prehensile tail with a spaded tip, both the ears and tail are extremely expressive. He has sharp claws on both his hands and feet, and on his feet, and he has paw pads (cute). His chest, upper back, upper arms, and the base of his tail are covered in a layer of soft fur that, during the colder seasons, grows thicker and slightly longer (spring is a nightmare in the Abbey, if you have pets that shed you’ll understand). Like all Ghouls, Glacier has extremely sharp teeth and a rough, forked tongue. He also wears a few bits of jewelry: Three rings on his left hand, one on his right thumb, leather cuff bracelets, and two piercings on both of his ears. On his right arm is a sleeve tattoo, styled to look like the Japanese cloud design you see in art. This is in a light blue, almost white colour.
His horns are a bit different from the model, since I had limited resources on the website. They're black, with a grey gradient that gets lighter on each ridge. They also have glowing blue cracks towards the base of the horns (this will be explained later)
Ghoul qualities
Like all Ghouls, he is telepathic, this can be used by Ghouls to communicate when absolute silence is necessary, and is also used to communicate with any Ghoul who can’t or doesn’t feel like verbally speaking. Glacier also knows several forms of sign language, since Mountain uses it when he’s in his human appearance. Alright, so a general headcanon is that normally the Ghouls look like… well, Ghouls, but on tour or out in public they wear something called “glamour” which gives them a human appearance, but this also removes their abilities, such as telepathy. All Ghouls have their own scent, Glacier’s smells like a warm summer's day with a hint of orange. Scents are a way of telling who is a pack member, mate, or friend. As an Air Ghoul, Glacier can use Air magic, along with general spells. He has an excellent sense of smell, sight and hearing, like all Ghouls. He also has great night vision.
Bit of backstory
Glacier is bisexual and transgender, and underwent an extremely painful but worthwhile transformation, using a spell designed by a few older Quintessence Ghouls and Primo. Resulting in his horns growing and cracking, revealing a glowing blue interior. The whole transformation took a while, since some of his bones were reshaped and moved. He has top surgery scars, which like his horns, glow blue, and had magic bottom surgery basically (I won't go into detail), the transformation also swapped his body from producing estrogen to testosterone.
Personality and some likes
Glacier is a shy Ghoul, and will usually stick to the back of the pack in stressful or new situations. He’s extremely quiet when meeting new people, and can take a while to warm up to them. His stage personality is vastly different, he loves hyping up the crowd during the gap before Cirice, if he is called for. He can be a very energetic drummer, and will sometimes compete with Mountain (the other drummer) to see who can perform a certain trick. At the end of a Ritual he gives away any spare drumsticks he has, as well as collecting anything that fans have made for him or the band in general (normal end of Ritual stuff). Other than that, he enjoys stargazing, swimming, cooking, and helping out with chores or just helping around. Glacier also has ADHD, and will get overstimulated in stressful environments, resulting in a flight response.
Strengths and weaknesses
Glacier, like most Ghouls, is fiercely loyal and protective of his pack and family. This is also one of his greatest weaknesses. Glacier is also a great listener and will be there for anyone to talk to.
TF2 x Ghost
A few of you may know that I ship Glacier with Engineer, and am currently planning a few fics containing them. I won't give anything away, but I will be making a fic that explains how these two completely different universes end up coming together. A little I will give away is that Glacier and Dell are a T4T relationship, and that the start of their relationship is really cute. I shall leave you with this image

Prince Lime of Pop
"Flowers are like Trolls. Mess up they're very strict daily routine for even a second and they shrivel up and die dramatically. What? I'm right!"
Parents: Queen Poppy and King Branch
Siblings: Choco (Elder Sister), Vanilla (Elder Sister), Strawberry (Elder Sister), Apple (Brother), Oran (Brother), Lemon (Brother), Blueberry (Brother), Grape (Sibling), Iris (Younger Sister)
Age: 18
Pronouns: They/He
Sexuality: Demisexual/Panromantic
Genre: Pop/Rock
Voice Claim: Patrick Monaham (Train)
The fourth of the Rainbow Brothers. Soft-spoken, a bit shy, but easy to talk to, Lime is one of the more laid back of his siblings. A sort of "just let life happen" kinda guy. Where he got this infinite patience no one knows.
Lime works as a gardener, tending to the upkeep of the gardens all around Trollstopia. They spend more time around plants then they do around Trolls, finding them much easier to manage. It's not their fault that social lives are so hard to manage properly!
Lime does do flower arrangements in his spare time, though the arrangements he makes are often... humourous. Need a romantic, loving bouquet? Sorry, he's not your guy. Need a bouquet that subtlety says "Fuck you". He's gotcha covered.
Lime enjoys both Pop music and Rock. He can play the acoustic guitar extremely well, and often serenades his girlfriend while they hang out in flower fields.
Lime currently resides in Trollstopia alongside his family.
Fun Facts!
- Lime is currently dating a Doll named Penelope. She's a florist who set up shop outside Trollstopia. The two are an EXTREMELY cheesy couple, nose nuzzles and everything
- Lime actually has a tattoo on his ankle of a rose and thorns. He tried ringpops one night with a few cousins and woke up with it. He's very embarrassed about it
- All his plants have names. Lime gets really attached to all his plants and gets really sad when they die. He's a very emotional guy
And that's Lime!! Little florist enby, I love him. OH! And if you're wondering what a Doll is, it's the Mount Rageons. I never liked that name for them, and an amazing artist @slugbuggy calls them Dolls, which I find much more fitting! Sorry for the tag, I just wanna give credit where credit is due! (Please go check out their Floyd/OC works they're amazing! (Also if you want me to not call them Dolls I can totally change it no problem)). Penelope's profile will be coming much later xP
Lime went through many design overhauls, they were one of the more difficult kids to design, but I think I like the design I settled on
Voice Example: Hey, Soul Sister (Train)
#dreamworks trolls#trolls#trolls oc#trolls broppy#broppy#trolls lime#myart#traditional art#lime lime liiiiime#yes he is KINDA a stoner#but ever since the tattoo incident he tries fo avoid it#his brothers NEVER let him hear the end if it#Spotify#trolls the depths au

The personal blog of "Adum Jane"
Hello there. Long time no see. I have been on a hiatus for a longer time than I am comfortable with. I'm not saying I'm going to come back. No I won't. To deduction? Maybe. To blogging? Unlikely. I just want to say thanks for the community. It's been a fun ride.
Personal Stuff
This isn't a usual post. I don't usually do this. I kinda need to vent a little bit. I have a lack of trust for human beings. I know people and how they think. Human beings are fucking disgusting when you think about it. We lie, we cheat, we harm others of our kind intentionally, we betray. The sheer amount of ranting I could do about human nature is a disgusting amount.
I fucking hate myself. I'm a human being. I Have flaws. Just like you. I am a stupid piece of shit. Every single human flaw I can make I make. It's starting to really piss me off. I am a piece of shit. NOT just subconsciously. I do it on purpose. OK I usually do it to people who irritate me on such a level that I just have to insult them. But I honestly go off the rails sometimes and start insulting my friends. It's good context to know that I have a friend-group of merely 5 people(myself included). From these, I only really trust 1. My girlfriend. And if I start insulting them, they'll turn away. I can't live with the fact that I am an asshole most of the time.
The reason I stopped deducing
Recently my relationship of around 8 months started blooming again. I started really loving her. Caring for her. Instead of handling her like a chore once a week. I stopped deducing because it was getting in the way of my thinking when I was with her. Just to clarify: I have two big things in my life sprint kayaking and my girlfriend. I can't give up the former because that's the only one that I'm above average at. I need to spend a lot of time with the latter or else I will start treating her like shit again. I'll try and manage to put the smaller thing in there like: deduction and...
My passion for music
My passion for music started last summer when I started listening to non-mainstream bands. I started listening to Sting and The Police. Not too common for a person my age. Then I started listening to Nirvana one day in the winter. I got hooked. I had a spark. A few years ago my father got a guitar. An Ibanez acoustic guitar. My brother started playing it. He had that spark there. He bought his own electric guitar to feed his desire for Metal. The acoustic was there collecting dust for around a year. Cut back and there is this spark that I don't know what to do with. I picked up that guitar eager to learn. I know exactly when, because it was around a week after we got together with my girlfriend. I learnt some one string riffs. By January I had my first guitar. A cheap strat I bought for 100 bucks. I learnt and I learnt feeding that spark that grew into a fire. I started listening to Foo Fighters, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megatdeth all the good stuff. I even bought a better guitar. And now I have this ache to perform after learning for 8 months. This fire is now in danger because it's hard to squeeze practising in the little time-frame I have for just myself.
This was all I wanted to say. Thank you for the support through my blogging journey.
Happy motherfuckin' deducing!

“Dickey was larger than life, and his loss will be felt world-wide”: Allman Brothers Band co-founder and legend of southern rock guitar Dickey Betts has died, aged 80
“I think the single greatest guitar solo I have ever witnessed was Dickey playing Blue Sky,” said [Derek]Trucks. “Y’know, I’ve been on stages with a lot of great players, and I think his solo was only time when someone finished when I thought, ‘What the f**k am I supposed to do now?!’ What do you possibly do after that? He just locked it in so hard and it was so profound and powerful, and beautiful, dangerous. It was a beautiful moment.”
The Rolling Stone reports that Betts’ died of cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease."

Electric hammer to the heart
(Sunset Curve 2.0-> Alex Mercer, Aricka Mercer, Aricka Shaw, Bobby Shaw, Luke Patterson, Reggie Peters)
(CW: mentions of how the band dies: death by food poisoning. Implied that Luke vomited blood from the tainted hotdogs. Heavy mentions of death/dying.)
*Aricka Mercer*
It was electric. 18 year old Aricka Mercer felt the music thrumming in her veins as she poured everything she had into the song, letting the sound wash over her and envelope her in a loud but powerful embrace, and suddenly it was her solo; and she belted out,
“Hear the noise
In my head
It's calling out like a voice I can't forget-!”
Bobby and Luke continued singing after her; so she put all her focus into her guitar- a purple Ibanez AEG70 electric-acoustic guitar; with her initials on the guitar strap. She’d saved up for months to be able to buy it; and it was her baby, her pride and joy. Soon it was time for the chorus; and herself and the other girl in the band- Bobby Shaw’s twin sister, also named Aricka- took over once more,
“Don't look down
'Cause we're still rising
Up right now
And even if we
Hit the ground
We'll still fly
Keep dreaming like we'll live forever
But live it like it's now or never-!” And then she got to step back and listen to her brother and boyfriend take over for their solos; her favorite part of the song:
“We ain't searching for tomorrow-!” Alex lit up every time he was behind the drum kit; his blue eyes shining brighter than any other point of day, and he exuded an effortless sort of confidence. Aricka loved to see her twin so comfortable and in his element.
“Tomorrow-!” Reggie, her boyfriend of two years, echoed her brother, looking over and winking at her, automatically resulting in her blushing as red as Aricka Shaw’s jacket.
“'Cause we got all we need today - !” Alex held and sustained the last note, one he’d been worried about all week. Aricka pumped her fist in excitement, and then Reggie finished his solo,
“Today-!” Luke and his girlfriend- Aricka Shaw, took over, Aricka S effortlessly harmonizing with her boy, both grinning and near breathless; but still managing to blow everyone away with the power of their chemistry,
“Living on a feeling that's been running through our veins…”
Reggie beckoned to Aricka and she slid across the stage just in time for their solo,
“We're the revolution that's been singing in the rain-!” Reggie flicked his hair, running his hand through it, and Aricka copied him, before kissing his cheek and dancing off, singing the chorus with her family- her chosen family, the ones she couldn’t ever imagine life without,
“Don't look down
'Cause we're still rising
Up right now
And even if we
Hit the ground
We'll still fly
Keep dreaming like we'll live forever
But live it like it's now or never
It's now or never -!” Aricka jumped up onto her brother’s stand just in time for their final solo, the twins grinning at each other as he took off into an improvised drum solo,
“Now or never-!”

*Aricka Shaw*
She took a breath; letting the post-rehearsal adrenaline fade; and grinned at the smattering of applause from the crew prepping the Orpheum for the show that night. Her twin slung an arm around her shoulder and squeezed; Luke gripping her hand at the same time.
“Thanks, we’re Sunset Curve-,” Reggie started.
“Tell your friends-!” Aricka Mercer finishes. The pair had always had a knack for finishing each other’s sentences; it was sickeningly adorable.
“Too bad we wasted the tightest we've played on a sound check!” Bobby jokes. Luke- ever the casual touchy-feely boy; squeezes Bobby’s shoulders and counters,
“Wait until tonight, man, when this place gets packed with record execs-!” Aricka M did a little dance in place: hopping from one foot to the other; flapping her hands happily. The movement was endearing to the few onstage who knew she only got like that when extremely positive emotions filled her.
“Alex, you were SMOKING-!” Reggie says, and the drummer boy blushes, twisting his sticks and glancing at his sister for assurance,
“Oh no. I was just warming up. You guys were the ones on fire.” Aricka M laughs and wraps both her arms around him, as Reggie protests,
“Could you just own your awesomeness for once?”
Alex rolls his lips inward, twisting side to side before finally admitting, “Alright, I was killing it-!”
Aricka M beams as she kisses Alex’s cheek; and he playfully shoved her away and pretends to wipe the kiss off. This only made her protest; and she proceeded to jump on his back and kiss his cheek repeatedly until he finally jabbed his fingers into her sides and tickled her.
“Alright: well I was thinking we fuel up before the show. I’m thinking street dogs-?” Luke suggests.
Aricka M, Aricka S, Alex and Reggie all agreed with Luke. Bobby declined; and stayed behind to flirt with one of the girls helping set up. Aricka S hugged Bobby quickly before promising to return as soon as she finished her hotdog.
Little did she know; she’d never perform with her twin again. Nor would she perform at the Orpheum that night.

BREAKING:
Up and coming rock band Sunset Curve strikes tragedy-!
At 9:00, just an hour before they were to headline the Orpheum, 5/6th of the band Sunset Curve died due to food poisoning by tainted hotdogs. The deceased were:
Lead singer and guitarist Luke Patterson.
Lead singer and guitarist Aricka Mercer.
Bassist and backup singer Aricka Shaw.
Bassist and backup singer Reginald “Reggie” Peters.

Mercer and Peters were reportedly “DOA holding hands,” according to eyewitness testimony. Patterson was dead, clutching his stomach with dried blood around his mouth. Shaw was revived, but died after being transported to the ambulance. Alexander was still alive when taken to the hospital; however his condition was critical. Later we learned that just as band member Robert “Bobby” Shaw arrived at the hospital; Alexander Mercer was declared dead, the time being 11:15 PM.
Funerals and other information about the victims of this tragic loss will be disclosed as we find out.

for someone who has never really listened to oasis before, what are the most incesty songs?
i feel like i'm not the expert i'm just one of the disciples hxdgy but thank you for asking me <33 i hope i can offer something while demonstrating that i got my wits about me. for the most part. it's kind of an inherently contradictory pair of goals but i'll have a go at it anyway lmao 💪
i mean, it's just not easy to say because i've low-key been BAMBOOZLING you all and oasis is a band with very normal music and very normal members*. and for example that post that goes something like, noel writes songs and says they're about his wife and then the song is like 'brother our love is so forbidden run away with me' is, while really funny, a huge exaggeration obviously (💀🩷) but as i said tumblrinas have a god given right to delusions and to biased interpretation and all that!!! it's funny and good for the ecology of this site and i have that god given right and i do it too. so that's where i stand, take this with a grain of salt etc. also sometimes it comes alive with the context and not without it, you won't find an inbred by ethel cain here HXSGCY
now that i got my disclaimers out of the way; the obvious one and the one that i must have conditioned myself to have a funny painful visceral reaction to (because i didn't use to) is guess god thinks i'm abel, written by liam. i couldn't find an archived version of the 2005 mojo issue that this was in, but:
"It’s biblical innit,” explains Liam. “Cain and Abel… it’s me and our kid. Or me and you. Two people who are the opposite, who become one."
Are you holding an olive branch out to Noel?
“It’s nice to put a band aid on it for a bit, knowwhatimean? I love him, I adore him, more than anyone else in the fuckin’ whole wide world. But we also don’t speak that much. We don’t have to speak. But that song is basically for him. It’s like, shut the fuck up, give respect and you’ll get respect back. Life, brothers and sisters, that’s what we all want isn’t it, respect?”
i had already been listening to this since before uhh a few weeks ago or whenever it was that i got these worms, because. you would not believe which of my playlists had it. and by that i mean you could guess with great accuracy (i think i've been vocal about my beautiful journey with claustrophobic familial relationships and about what kick-started me in that regard). come on. and i'm an older sister i've always liked the abels of the world
oh and i should mention my sister lover! it's my sister lover
and then there's if we shadows, honestly might be my favorite.. just favorite, period. definitely is out of the more uh acoustic and less rock and roll ones. "nobody knows what's wrong except me and my brother"
+ acquiesce. i find this one funny because people assumed it was about the two of them, with "we need each other" and "we believe in one another" in the chorus, because noel sings that and liam sings the verses on it (and it's not often they share songs like that and it's like they're singing to each other). noel called this "total fucking bullshit" and said it's about friendship lol and another time he said liam assumed it was written to him but it's actually to his girlfriend
i'm outta time. another one by liam, i just wouldn't rule it out that he wrote it with someone in mind. and i'm sure he wasn't completely oblivious to the problems they were having before the break-up sooooo.. you know
live forever. i mean that was their career i would say, the high points must have been like that (about 9 minutes in: "on stage, i just want him. and it's only me and him. when he turns to me and i turn to him at, like, one guitar break or whatever and, like, we just both look at each other, and that's what it's about for us. [...] not like i'm fucking dissing the rest of the band or anything like that but it's only me and him"), looking over at your brother who is the other half of the band in a way the other half of you as well and knowing you've created something permanent and in that very moment too you're creating it together and you're on top of the world. sorry if that sounds insane ,, as i said , contextual, it's live forever well it's just live forever
*: gaze upon any insane mutual's (or my own) oasis tag and make your own judgment on this lol
#also you can listen to don't go away with something in mind but i think they implied somewhere it was written to their guitarist's mom who#had cancer at the time#and you can listen to stand by me with something in mind#mayhaps the gallaghers are more interesting and less sane than their music ever was!!! may be so 0_0#oasis#ask#kata.txt#x
