LISTENNNNNN. “always the fool with the slowest heart” — wanna draw some attention to this line. the FOOL (for believing for a second that geto was alive. for HOPING that SOMEHOW he survived. for going against his instincts and HOPING.) with the SLOWEST HEART (too slow to escape the trap. too slow to realize what was happening, too slow to react, too slow to think logically.)

i honestly think that “the fool with the slowest heart” perfectly sums up gojo’s reaction to seeing geto/kenjaku in shibuya. if he was quicker to react, he wouldn’t have gotten sealed, which would have prevented a shit ton of death and destruction. and what was it that made him so slow to react? his heart. it was his heart that made him turn, his heart that made him freeze and hope and hesitate. it was his heart that made him smile as it all came back to him and then it was too late. too slow.

another moment in which gojo is the fool with the slowest heart is when he is too slow to realize that suguru is struggling or properly reach out and try to help him.
