neither of these pictures are great but i wanted u guys to see this "knock off" version of kirsten's birthday outfit that my great grandma made. i didnt know my great grandma very well but i do know that she was really interested in american girl dolls (i think she at one point owned a very early release of samantha) and made several doll dresses like this one that ended up in my possession. the other ones i managed to turn back up were just basic flouncy little girl dresses but this one is a little too similar to kirsten's birthday outfit to ignore. its in storage with the rest of her handmade dresses but every time i see a pic of kirsten in her birthday outfit, i think of this bootleg and how much i loved putting my doll in it

#1. not much to say here lol just New Years fireworks #2. over the past… year or so I’ve made this collage and it makes me happy #3. went to Germany to visit my uncle who just came back from Afghanistan. actually got several gifts from family members #4. I think I mentioned this before but the mother of 2 kids I helped at the first refugee camp actually made + gifted me this scarf 🥹#5. crystals on the window at my office at current refugee camp I work at. this day was so cold omg. it was like -3 and I couldn’t get my #office to warm up I was seeing families/kids the whole day while I literally felt like my toes were going to freeze off #6. this is an old Afghan song I’ve come across recently. it’s a little bit nostalgic but I have no actual memories attached to it #monthly recap

#speculation nation #i think my hot pad might just be my favorite item i own #... other than my posable persona 3 thanatos figurine (partnered with my p3 protag chibi keychain)#favorite items. 1: thanatos figurine that i spent literally 7 years wanting b4 finally buying it as an adult #2: hot pad.#3: machete #my machete is my favorite out of my blades collection bc of its pure chaotic potential. the fact that ive been stabbed by it b4 aside.#4: p5 style dice set. self explanatory.#5: my 3ds. ive had it since 2011 and it is so dear to me. unmatched even by my switch.#6: the 2 foot tall bipedal cat statue named Johnathon that's almost as old as me. from Sam's Club. guardian of the bathroom.#7: my stuffed tiger ive had since a little kid who is SO perfectly huggable. honestly she deserves to be higher on this list but w/e #8: my box fan. had That one since 2015 and it's literally so resilient. i struggle to sleep without its white noise. i love it dearly.#9: the Welcome To My Web metal placard of some owl headed lady weaving a spider's web. gift from my grandma. you'd have to see it.#10: the antique violin i got from my great uncle (who got it from his grandpa) that's got a star of david on its back and it's oh so pretty #sure that counts as a comprehensive list of my Favorite Items #did not intend to make an actual list but i got started and had fun with it and that's what matters.

Btw almost every single person in my uni housings corridor has been studying for like 3-5 years and they all looks so old and ive noticed that its just because when i look into the mirror i still see my 14 year old self

#may be because i lost 4 years of my life to depression induced memory loss EL OH EL!#like im going to throw upppppppppp im a 15 year old surrounded by people in their 20s ITS NOT NORMAL!#ive got some girls in my anglistics classes who are around my age btw and 1. theyre ALL ALMANS (german germans) 2. my age yet i STILL dont #fit in #and idk if i started uni too soon if uni is even right for me but i feel like i need to do something now or ill lose my mind #sham!s rambles #i ate only spaghetti and chocolate today and made my dream husband in sims 4 and ran around for an in-game week #gifting every villager their favourite items in stardew valley #because today was my rest day and i already have mandatory reading to do and im going to be sick #because when people say enjoy uni i didnt think its just 6/12 months in a year of stumbling through life #sorry for the friday night scaries 😭

i haven't cried since saturday but a lot of little things have made me misty-eyed. like our birthdays are in a month and a half; ever since my parents moved out her and pa's house she gave us phone calls on our birthdays. and for the first time in my life i'm not gonna hear her voice on my birthday

#and im making a shawl for her to be cremated in #but 1) she's the one who taught me fo knit when i was 14/15 and gave me a big dufflebag #of a bunch of her old needles and yarn. i still use them all the time #2) HER birthday was in april and i was already planning on making the shawl as a birthday gift #i even ordered special yarn for it!#3) in my over 10 years of knitting ive only finished like. 3 projects and they were all scarves #and she never got to see them #i hate that she never got to see the fruits of what she taught me #i think she'd be proud. and i hope she enjoys her birthday present #mom said she'd love whatever i made her even if i used the scratchiest acrylic yarn in the ugliest colors #and that's homestly true she'd be so earnestly flattered and overjoyed to receive a handmade gift #especially smth made in a skill she taught me #i just wish she actually got to see it #mickey.txt
