First thing in the morning. Well, it’s to eat breakfast. But after that, it’s go back on the computer and wipe it clean again.

This was the week I was planning on sending my resume out. This or next week. I know that the malware came from a cracked software. The thing is, I’m not sure which one.

L*ghtr**m, or M*cr*s*ft O**ice. ‘Cause those are the only 2 that worked. If I had an Intel-based Mac, it probably would’ve been a lot harder to nail down.

If it’s L, fine, whatever. I have access to Capture One Express, which is totally legal. It’s 95% of L; my only gripe with Capture One is that the lens profile doesn’t really work.

But MO? Shit, I’m fucked. It’s basically a necessity. That’s the cracked software I kept the installation for. But if the malware’s from MO, and not L...

I needed to go through my resume one more time before I exported it as a PDF. If I install MO, I run the risk of installing that malware again. My computer will become a ticking time bomb again. There would’ve been no point to be wiping my drive to get rid of it in the first place.

I have enough money to buy a legit copy of MO. But it’s steep, and the dent left in my bank account will be a big one. There’s no guarantee I’ll be hired in the first wave of sending out my resume.

It’s just

I’m gonna wipe my drive clean again. I’m gonna set my computer up again. After I transfer all my files back, I’ll buy a license key to MO. Because it’s a necessity. Because it’s essential. And installing malware on my computer again just isn’t worth it. It’s not worth the energy, the focus, and the time to get rid of it.

Happy Birthday Eivor!!

Thanks to this game, I met a bunch of incredible people and friends, improved my drawing skills (thanks to my Ivarr obsession) a lot and had all in all a fuckton of fun on this emotional rollercoaster.
