every time Harmony talks about needing a Sword, to do immediate Ruin for long-term Preservation, I do kind of want to take him by the hands and say, Sazed, my love, you have an ENTIRE Kelsier. Both your predecessors somewhat cattily identified this as his primary function and mode of operation. I know he is, as a person, a sentient rogue nuclear missile addicted to convoluted manipulation plots and defying every authority up to and including the physical and spiritual laws of nature, but you literally have the same fundamental goal of protecting Scadriel, so I am begging the two of you (@Kelsier YOU TOO, BUSTER) to just coordinate your fucking plans for five minutes.

One thing I found extremely funny in Wind and truth is the fact that since the occupation of Urithiru everyone colectively thought that Zahel had just simply run away (and no one judged him for it). Meanwhile, he was beeing tortured by the ghostbloods. And he only managed to escape thanks to Lift, who was worried about her "chicken". The fact that she didn't even recognise him at first, and when she actually looked at him thought "wait, I know this ugly guy" because she was only there for the chicken and didn't really care for the guy tied to the ceiling was hilarious. And then he offered to teach her how to fight, so I guess it all worked out.

Can someone please bring in Kelsier? Mr. "I founded a secret organization with the sole purpose of protecting Scadrial from all threats" would thrive in this discussion. And he'd also slap Taravodium square in the face because that's his brand and personally I'd love to see that

Since Prasanva or Twinsoul kind of fit the inktober prompt, so yeah, why not? This here obviously took some inspiration from @botanica_xu s version of him. He is a lovely and pleasant character.  His tea cup ended up looking a bit like Tress‘ ones and from that the story was spun of Hoid at a paint your ceramic thing shop, making a series of cups to present random nice people in the cosmere. And how he probably gave that to someone in the Ghostbloods because he suspected it would piss their leader off, if he knew it was a present from him. 😄 maybe there’s a cup in for every colour. I wonder who has the others.

Mistborn Era 1 and Stormlight WAT/KOWAT spoilers

ok, so at the climax of mistborn era 1 , ruin and preservation combine into harmony through a person who is equally connected to both.

at the climax of the stormlight archive front half, honor and odium combine into retribution through someone who is either has an equal amount of both intents or is equally connected to both.

now all we need to do is find someone who is equally connected to harmony and retribution, or has equal amounts of intent.

maybe if in backhalf someone from roshar, (say venli, as she is a singer radiant, basically a very evenly connected person), joins the ghostbloods (I say venli cuz she seems the type to join them) and becomes connected to harmony.

maybe she could become whatever shard harmony+retribution would be? justice anyone?

Unironically delighting in the timer Wind and Truth just set in the Cosmere. 10 years on Roshar (and Braize, etc) and ~80 in the rest of the cosmere, then some variety of all hell breaks loose. In the meantime, the Ghostbloods will have some sort of spy thriller involving hacking, innovations in hemalurgy, and I bet the ‘emptied’ Bands of Mourning, and probably the invention of Allomantic/Feruchemical spaceflight. Kandra are loose like horses in a hospital and could be anyone. There are two known Dawnshards wandering Shadesmar, one of whom has a very nice sailing ship, and two still hidden. Hoid is now putting real effort into accumulating every kind of Investiture. Back on Roshar, the Unoathed in Azir are the one known patch of sunlight on a planet of storm, but there’s also Lift the only remaining empowered Radiant (so long as she has enough to eat) and Jasnah rebuilding a life philosophy in Urithiru and the Singers rebuilding a people on the Plains, above the Well of Retribution and Adonalsium only knows what else…

10 years, ~80 years. Then Retribution moves, some number of other Shards move against Retribution, every other faction that’s been plotting moves, and who the fuck knows how the all collide.

And that’s just Stormlight #6-10! (Actually, I bet you can get an entire book #6 out of everyone trying to get a jump on everyone else by setting their plans in action just before the timelines fully resync, and then those first steps all collide…)

And all this won’t even be the mistborn space opera yet.

I swear Shallan is one of the best stormlight characters because you could tell me she's done the weirdest and probably most dangerous thing you could posibly think of and I'd belive you. Like, she seriously snuck in the ghostbloods base all by herself? And they didn't even recognize her until relatively later?!

Shallan's being one of my favourite characters to read in Wind and truth so far, chaos just seems to follow her arround. Or maybe it's the other way arround... But more seriously, the ghostbloods thing was awesome. Mraize was even proud of her, and he didn't seem to want to kill her as much as Iyatil did (this could lead to some conflict between the two of them in the future, and I'm so in for it).

Yeah, wow, Shallan's so cool, Mraize's also so cool (I'm sorry, I know he's bad and all but he's just such cool character and the way he calls Shallan "Little knife" just does something to me), and the whole ghostbloods plot is so interesting!! I'm really excited to see how the story will continue.

Something I find so interesting; we see Kelsier as a Mistborn in tFE but that's not who he is. He's only Mistborn for like two years. In SH we see the real Kelsier; a man obsessed with the power of knowledge and very adept at getting it.

It has occurred to me that we don't yet know when and why Jasnah was targeted by the Ghostbloods.

At first, I thought it was because they're natural enemies. They're a shady organization that insists on getting involved in world politics with no clear goal, and she's a ruthless spymaster with Radiant powers willing to do anything to protect her family, who happen to be Alethi royalty. But that's a reason, not a cause.

What specifically happened between her and the Ghostbloods?

I'm just throwing ideas at the wall.

Spoilers for Wind and Truth's prologue.

We know that her father, Gavilar, was working with the Ghostbloods for some time. While it's possible that the Ghostbloods were keeping an eye on his family, I doubt they would have any active hits when they wanted to get into his good graces.

Could it be because the Ghostbloods thought she was furthering her father's plans? While it's probable they suspected as much, that doesn't seem like enough to act.

It's also possible that Jasnah stumbled upon the Ghostbloods through her backdoor dealings, then they tried to manipulate each other, until things soured enough that it escalated into secret war.
