Since I keep getting repeated questions, I've decided to make a FAQ where I can put all explanations to and link to it 👉👉

❓How do I keep Leo on top of my screen applications?

If you want him to stay on top of your windows, right click him, then go to Options - Preferences, then the Ghost(2) tab in the big menu that pops up. Check "Always Show Foreground" and that should do it.

❓Is there any screenshots on how I can install Leo?

Check out this post, it describes how to install Leo, screenshots included

❓Does Leo work on Chromebook, IOS, newer Android, etc? Will he ever?

No. I can't personally make him work on other platforms - unless the developers of the software (called SSP) will make SSP work on those platforms, Leo won't be able to work there.

❓How do I talk to Leo? How do I ask him a question? How do I pet him?

After installing Leo, if you want to interact with him just double click him - anywhere but his face. Right click on him calls more generic options menu.

To pet him, stroke the top of his head with your mouse, no clicking. If you want to know more general area, look at this gif here.

❓Download link for Leonardo doesn't seem to be working, what should I do?

Since the download link in my post leads to the website I made on neocities, sometimes website doesn't work, but you should be able to install Leo straight from the Google Drive here. You can see instructions linked in the second question of this post.

❓My data doesn't save - every time I open Leo, the introduction plays again, what should I do?

Most of the time it means that the files have been installed incorrectly, and folders are not where they should be.

Here's the files you should have in your 'ghost' folder (the location of which will most probably be your 'downloads' folder), and files you should have there

For the first 'ghost' folder, unless you installed desktop ghosts before you will only have 'Future Leonardo' and 'emily4' folders

Inside the 'shell' folder you should have 3 folders - 'Taileo', 'Neon Leon' and 'Chin Stripes', and they all contain lots of pngs and a couple of txt files

Don't worry about 'profile' folder, I believe it just saves the data of ghosts's coordinates on your screen in case you move them around

It might be a problem with a save file - just make sure you don't move 'aya5_variable.cfg' from the 'master' folder, because that's an actual file that contains all the save data.

❓Will you ever make more TMNT ghosts? Other brothers?

No. I have enough stuff I still wish to implement to Leo, and even if I made any other turtle, the overall experience wouldn't be much different. But don't let your dreams be dreams, you can always try and make your beloved turtle live on your desktop yourself! English Desktop Ghost devs community is so lovely, they're always happy to help both new and seasoned devs 💖✨

It's only after he's lost all hope that he finally has a chance to get home, thanks to meeting the Batch - the only other merpeople he's seen since losing his family. When the Batch drops everything to protect him and get him home, is it really any surprise that he wants them to stay?

Still reeling from Order 66, Obi-Wan finds an even bigger problem on Mustafar: a powerful Dark Side entity that feeds on the life force of Jedi. He’s lucky to escape with baby Luke and Leia, but his regret at their parents’ deaths isn’t the only thing that follows him from the lava moon. The entity is on the hunt. Stranded on a poisonous planet, the odds of surviving aren’t in Obi-Wan’s favour. At least he has an ally in Cody – but even if they manage to escape, Obi-Wan doesn’t know how to ask the man he secretly loves to stay.

A movie AU where Leonardo travels back in time with Casey. Because even though Leonardo doesn’t want to live any more, Casey doesn’t want to give up on him, and maybe, just maybe, Casey has enough hope for both of them. Or, from my rambling while planning this fic: “future Leo is just so much fun because he's spent the past 22 years demonising his past self for starting the apocalypse but then when he travels back in time to the day it happened so he can stop it, he realises his past self was just a dumb naive kid who had no idea of the potential consequences, so future Leo decides to be gentle with him and it's the only self-love he's ever had because he's always hated himself a little”. As well as “Leonardo trying to break the cycle by being kind to his past self (while still hating his current self) makes me want to put him in therapy and I think makes Dr Delicate Touch want to use him as a piñata”.

When Donnie gets his hands on the Arc Capacitor after the events of Out of the Shadows, he decides to repurpose the tech for his own use. Unfortunately the first test run doesn't go well, and he's accidentally transported to a different dimension. His first thought is to find the new reality's version of Donnie, so they can work together to find him a way back home, but while trying to find their lair, he finds a much different version of his brothers instead. At eight, nine, and ten years old, the young turtles are hopelessly lost in the sewers beneath the city, and their only chance at getting home is Donnie. Between finding a way to get four lost turtle kids back to their dad, and finding a way to get himself back to his own reality, he's got a lot to do. AKA the Rise/Bayverse crossover that exactly nobody asked for but I'm writing all the same. Updating Fridays.

A year after defeating Commander Krang, the turtles discover that the Foot Clan intends to bring Shredder back to life. Hoping to stop this plan before it begins, they travel to a secret base, looking for the intended project head, Baxter Stockman. They find the base, they don't find Stockman, and more important than either of those things, they find dinosaurs. Four turtles, four Utahraptors - what could go wrong?

When im bored I tend to look through the Ghost! Leonardo files to see whats there, mainly after updates and the surfaces. So thats what I did, and, perhaps im stupid or its jus a joke file like the "h im" But under ghost->Future Leonardo->Shell->taileo (or Neon Leon) its surface11040; its normal Leo on a skateboard. Perhaps soon we'll get the skater boy back on the boards? (picture below)

Hey, so I remember a bit ago you reblogging a post about a desktop ghost of Future Leo that was available for download, and I'm a little unsure about what a desktop ghost actually is in that context? I've tried looking it up on Google, but I'm having issues finding out about that specifically. IDK, I was just kinda wondering if you knew more about it because I'm genuinely pretty curious.

A desktop ghost is basically a lil desktop buddy, he sits on your screen, you can interact with him/annoy him as much as you like

This particular ghost is astounding, like, it is insane how good quality this guy is also has story/lore/head canons about future timeline!

Mini fic???

So I don’t have the time or energy to draw this idea rn because I’m very busy and already working on my lfls comic, so I thought I’d try to write it. My narrative writing is rusty so don’t flame me lol (update: I edited it a bit, just added some details and flourishes)

I really like the Rise Movie AU where future Leo gets through the time portal as well, and interacts with all his brothers again. (So much good angst opportunities!) In this AU, with the help of future Leo and Casey jr, they get the key back seal the Krang instead of Raph being kidnapped. This angsty scene(s?) idea came to me at 4:30 in the morning and I just had to get it down- this is maybe a few weeks post movie where future Leo has moved in with the Rise boys. (I refer to Future Leo as Leonardo, and young Leo as just Leo! Hope that makes it easier!)

Leonardo ground his teeth. He usually could handle the jabs and the puns, but apparently not today. Of course, Leonardo couldn’t be happier about having this second chance. Where, in this new reality, if he closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of his alternate brothers run around the lair, it all seemed like a bad dream.

BUT. One thing was getting on his nerves, one thing he hadn’t quite anticipated: himself. Or, his younger self, that is. There was just something about his other self that rubbed him the wrong way.

He wondered if it was because his shorter, louder counterpart was a reminder of everything about himself he had to leave behind. His performative ego, his endless jokes, and the flamboyant flair he used to bring to every conversation- all of it haunting him like the ghost of who he used to be, a reminder that this family wasn’t his family… Or maybe, Leonardo really was more annoying as a kid than he remembered.

But today was already a bad day. He had intended to sleep in, to catch up on a fraction of the years of sleepless nights, but he instead had woken up to angry yelling and shouting. Leonardo nearly had a panic attack. It had all been fine, of course. The Krang were gone, and he knew that, and yet… The reason for the noise had been Mikey arguing with the others over his recent victory in another “all-night-video-game-ultra-mega-championship,” as they called it, and it had apparently been a very close win.

Leonardo had rushed in to see what was going on, weapons drawn, only to be greeted by 3 sleep deprived sore losers, and one very sore winner. “You’re just mad you don’t have my mad skills!” Mikey had taunted gleefully from a pile of cushions, “AND YOU NEVER WILL!!” he giggled, running past Leonardo to run to the kitchen. His other self and the younger Donnie followed swiftly behind, followed by “oh yeah?” and “we’ll see about that, Miguel!”

“You okay there, Leo?” Raph said, snapping him from his thoughts. Leonardo sighed, “Yes, sorry-Raph.” His voice caught on his brother’s name, the syllable catching in his throat. He hadn’t said it in a long time. “You sure? ‘Cause you may be old, but Istill know a sad Leo when I see one. Can’t pull one over on big brother Raph! …Or, I guess… little brother Raph?” He offered, giving a shy smile.” Leonardo let out a small laugh, and his heart twisted. Images of his past flashed through his mind as he remembered his own Raph, and how he too had been focused on others, even while he lay dying. He shook the thought away. “No, buddy. I’m fine, really. Just… getting used to seeing everyone.” The “again” left off of the statement hung heavy in the air, unspoken. “Okay, well, if you need anything, I’m here to talk. We all are.” Raph patted Leonardo’s robotic arm as he, too, moved to the kitchen for breakfast. Leonardo didn’t follow.

With an eventful morning behind him, Leonardo now stood in the training room, blowing off some steam. He had removed his bulky prosthetic, allowing his skin to breath as he went to work on a punching bag. (He also knew that his metallic enhancement packed quite the punch, so to speak, and didn’t want to break their things.) He continued to grind his teeth absent minded, and could hear a quiet purple thought berating him for it, about how there were no dentists, let alone ones mutant dentists, in the wasteland of New York. Other multi-colored jabs and laughs climbed his consciousness like bittersweet cobwebs that couldn’t be cleared. He ignored the thoughts best he could and struck harder. He kicked and punched with his good arm, and finally got a rhythm going when his focus was broken by an all too familiar voice.

“Working on the old 1-2, ey old me?” Leo said, bouncing on his feet and holding up his fists in a faux fight stance.

Leonardo paused. He hadn’t even heard Leo come in the room. Not now, he thought. Please not now.

“or should I say just the 1? Haa! Up top!”

His younger self held up a hand for a high five, but Leonardo just sighed and began to go at the bag again. Leo awkwardly tried to play it off, scooping his hand behind his head. “Sooo,” he began, “what’s been going on in that old nog of ours? Cause I kinda get the feeling somethings up, I mean, you never miss Mikey’s breakfast, but I’m not sure- You’d think I’d be pretty good at reading myself, but I guess I fall a little short,” he said, emphasizing their height difference with another wave of his hand in a mock salute gesture.

Leonardo’s rhythm was fully thrown off now, and sighed as he turned to face himself. “You sure talk with your hands alot,” he said, his one hand on his hip. “Well, sure!” the younger him replied, throwing on his trademark smirk, “guess you kinda don’t though, right?” Leonardo huffed, “look kid, I’m really not in the mood.” He brushed past Leo and stated towards the doorway.

“What, no time for some self love and, one could say, brotherly bonding?” Leo said, his tone full of fake hurt.

“Nope.” Leonardo said, not even turning to face him.

“Uh, aren’t you forgetting something?”

Leo turned and realized he had left his replacement appendage on the floor, though now it was haphazardly draped over his other self’s shoulders.

“Please don’t play with that-“ Leonardo began, but he was quickly cut off by his own voice-

“I have to say it is rather disarming to see you without it.”

Leonardo lunged for the arm, but he wasn’t fully used to swift movements without the extra weight, so the spryer Leo easily dodged.

“I got to hand it to you though, it’s a very cool arm.” Another dodge. “Bet it’s good for fighting, too. D’you get it from an arms dealer?” Leo hefted the arm like a bat, the elbow bending and creaking at a tense angle.

“Leo, careful-“ Leo laughed as he, again, dodged under Leonardo’s reaching hand.

“Can it shoot lasers or anything?” He mused, turning it over at an odd angle, and the joint made a painful sound as it jostled. A chill ran through Leonardo, as a phantom pain shoot through his stump, and the memory of impossibly sharp tentacles flooded his thoughts.

“THAT DOES IT-“ Leonardo roared, tackling his younger self, sending the arm clattering to the floor. He pressed Leo into the mat, able to pin him with just one hand. “I’ve had it up to HERE with your nonsense, Leo,” he spit, “I can take a good joke, believe me! I’m YOU, for crying out loud, but you DO. NOT. mess around with and joke about my arm. About everything I sacrificed, about what WE ALL sacrificed! About the last thing Don made for Raph, and the feeling of taking it back, and what I had to…to…” A droplet of wet fell onto his younger face. He was crying. The last time cried was…

He refocused his blurry eyes beneath him. His younger self lay shocked and speechless. He almost looked afraid. Leonardo pulled his arm away, releasing Leo and drawing into a seat on the floor, holding up his head with his hand. “…I’m sorry,” he managed, letting his eyes dry.

“I… no, don’t worry about it.” Leo said quietly, as he stood and gingerly picked up the large prosthetic. He walked it back to where his older self sat, and placed it by his side. “I didn’t realize it was… so important,” he continued, “I actually do think its really cool- but that seems kinda stupid now, huh.”

Leonardo sighed. “We’re both a little stupid, kid.” He said, jostling Leo’s head with his hand, “That’s something about us that doesn’t go away, trust me.” His younger self grinned, “oh darn, there goes my secret dream of overthrowing Donnie!” He said sarcastically, both of them unable to resist a joke even in the midst of an serious conversation.

“Well, some things never change, Lil Leo,” Leonardo said, as he re-attached his link to the past, readjusting its heavy weight. “Some things never change.” Leonardo stood and offered Leo a non-metal hand up. He took it.

“They sure don’t!” Leo smiled, “You hungry? Cause Mikey made way too much mac and cheese again.” Leonardo chuckled, “Of course he did.” A genuine, relaxed smile spread across Leonardo’s face for the first time in since they closed the portal door.

“Of course he did.”

It’s a LOT longer than I meant it to be and idk I think the pacing is a bit off, but I wrote and edited it in 3 hours as the sun rose so I can live with that. Let me know your thoughts!!

⚠At this time, SSP is still experiencing an error which I can't do anything about, so Leo may run into an 'error' while updating. I don't really have an advice apart for periodically trying to have him update again.⚠

✨To update Leonardo, double click his body, open 'run errands' menu and click the top option that is 'Check for Leo updates'

A TAIL IS NOW A REALITY! Give your old man a tail that will wiggle waggle - right click Leonardo Ghost and go to Change Shell -> Taileo and Leo will have a tail! It's just a custom change you can go to at any time. In case his passive tail wiggling distracts you, you can always change him to default by going to Change Shell -> Neon Leon

WATCH STUFF WITH LEO! Well, more like have Leo watch stuff with you!

You can now Interact with him (if your relationship is high enough)

For now, the only available interaction you can unlock is the 'Watch something together'

A choice of what to watch! There's multiple options to choose from, each having different responses from Leo.

You can always change his talk rate in the stats menu to not talking if you just want him to silently watch what's going on on the screen and not have his talking distract you, but if you like his lines, you can pick any of these activities and he will react accordingly.

And, when you're done, you can double click Leo and ask him to stand back up at any time 💙

A couple of additional dialogue lines (idle) depending on which shell you have for him currently

I hope the SSP bug will be fixed soon, but for now, good luck to people who will be updating Leon 💖 I hope you guys enjoy it!

Chapter 1: Still Waiting 

I’m giving you guys the first chapter to see how you feel about it. The other chapters is in the link at the end of this chapter, if you wanna see more. This is an ongoing story, so I’m not sure how long it will be, but enjoy~~😍

Summary: You haven't had good days since Leo left, but why should you wait for him to come back and make it better? Instead of looking back, you should look forward cause there are better things waiting for you. Or so you thought...

"(Y/n), can you do us a big favor and come by tonight, I got a feeling that Casey is going trick and treating tonight and I need you to remind him that he's got a deadline to meet." April says through the phone a little irritated and you giggle.

"Not responding to your messages today huh." You say walking to my fridge and getting a beer.

"Exactly, I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with him." She says with a huff while you open my beer.

"Well April, we're gonna have to let the boys be boys until they learn a big lesson into becoming a man." You say getting my jacket and walking out of my window and up the rooftop.

"So never?" She says and you laugh, and then you hear rustles of leaves in her background.

"Where are you now by the way?" you ask curiously.

"Well there's this guy that is really obsessed with these ancient statues and I bring those to him for a good price. I'm actually at the jungles of Central America looking." She says cutting down some leaves while you open my chair and sit on it with an open beer.

"That's cool, I wish I can get to travel just to clear my head for a while." You said drinking my beer a bit.

"Yea it's beautiful here, and there's also this legend going around the village about the "Ghost of the Jungle"." You laugh at the name and shake my head.

"Now there's something to be on the lookout in the jungle, be careful April or the ghost will get you too." You say jokingly and giggle.

"This is actually serious though, this legend is actually an active hero. This guy helps the village in danger and no one knows his identity, all he does is kicks the bad guys asses and he retreats into the shadows of the jungle. Kinda seems familiar don't you think?.." April explains with a soft voice at the end and you go from a smile to a straight face.

"Familiar to who exactly?" You say with no tone and stare at the city.

"(Y/n), you know who I'm talking about. Don't you think it's time that someone finds him?" April says gently.

"April if he wanted to be found, then you would've found him right when you got into the jungle, trust me I know him, he's probably observing you right now just to make sure your safe." You say with a sigh and rub my face softly.

"That sounded a little creepy but you might have a point, but I still think I can give it a shot, the guys need him back." She says while cutting more leaves down.

"Yea your right, just be careful, Leo isn't the only one in the jungle." You say getting up with the empty beer in hand.

"Want me to give him a message from you?" She asks softly. You think about it for a moment and shake my head.

"I don't think that's necessary, if he wants to be in contact with me then he'll find a way to do it, just get back safe." You say putting that beer bottle in the trash can and starting to walk across the rooftop.

"Alright, I'll update you later about him, see you soon and I'll be careful, oh and don't forget to give Casey a surprise visit." She says with a serious voice in the end and you laugh.

"Don't worry I will, bye."

"Bye (Y/n)."

We both hung up the phone and you started running across the rooftops to get to Casey.

It wasn't easy trying to find Leo at all in this jungle, he could basically fit in by just walking around being green and all. April heard rustling in the bushes and she slowly stood up with a raised eyebrow.

"Is anyone here?" Proceeding through the bushes and looking around. "Hello?"

I'm starting to get tired of this. Maybe (Y/n)'s right-

She suddenly fell through a hole and crashed through vines. April yell and close her eyes waiting for a strong impact, but when she landed, she didn't land on anything hard.

"It's a long way from the city to just drop in." She hear a familiar voice and open her eyes to see Leo in the flesh grinning.

"Leo." April smiled, happy to finally see her lost friend.

They talked and she tried convincing him to come back for his brothers but he's too stubborn. Why won't he budge?

"Your training period ended a year ago, and Splinter says you don't write anymore." April keeps persuading him, hoping that it would at least make him think about it.

"Splinter sent me down here to become a better leader. I can't go back to failure. Besides, these people need me more than my brothers do." He confirms while poking the fire with a frown.

"If Master Splinter were here, he would ask you 'what is your heart telling you?'" She said softly while looking at him.

"I don't know..I just know something's missing." Leo sighs while standing up and dropping the stick in the fire.

If (Y/n) were here, she knew what to say to him. Speaking of which...

"What about (Y/n)?" April asked hesitantly. Leo froze and looked back at her.

"What about her?" Leo asked as if he was clueless. She sighed and shook her head.

"Don't you think it was a bad idea breaking up with her through a letter?" She responded, observing his reaction. He looked away a little sad but looked back at her with his regular self.

"I did what I had to. She can't have a normal life with a mutant like me, April. I'm supposed to help everyone move forward, not holding them back." Leo picks up another stick for the fire.

"You should've talked to her to see how she feels about this. She has the right to choose her own path and future. Leo, you should've seen how heartbroken she was. (Y/n) wasn't able to think about her future, she was just furious at herself for not knowing what she did wrong." April reasoned gently and he clenched his fists.

"It was hard sending that letter..but I had to. Come on April, we're talking about (Y/n) here, she's so loyal that she'd do anything to be by my side, even if I can't give her the life she deserves. I don't want her to sacrifice all those great opportunities out there because of me. I just can't live with myself if I failed her." Leo sighed and looked away.

"If you're willing to let her go for good, at least give her some closure, she needs that to move forward. Your brothers need you, Leo. They're all lost without you." April looked down sadly at everyone else's outcome for his absence. When she looked back up, he was gone. She tried calling out for him and looking for a bit but it was getting dark, and she needed to get back home.

Looks like I'm coming home empty handed.

You ended up on Casey and April's rooftop apartment and checked that Casey wasn't there. You sighed and shook your head while looking at your watch.

"A little early for playing vigilante this evening Jones." You looked around and closed your eyes while closely listening to the city and focused intensely.

Your vision went dark and back into seeing Casey beating up some crook with another vigilante with a metal suit.

"Ah, so the Night watcher is at it again and with a side kick." You say opening my eyes and start sprinting and jumping across the rooftops.

You got to them when the guys were tying the guy up in chains and you cross my arms looking at Casey.

"Really Casey? I thought you were gonna watch a game tonight." Casey and the Nightwatcher turned around surprised.

"(Y/n)?? How did you find me?" Casey said, taking off his hockey mask.

"It really wasn't that hard, trust me." You say and look at the Night Watcher, slowly walk towards him.

"So you're the Night Watcher huh? Never thought I'd bump into you." You say crossing my arms and tilt your head while Casey looks a little nervous.

"Nice to meet you as well ma'am but I-uh gotta go-"

"Raph I know it's you."

"Is it really that obvious?!"

"Yes it was that obvious." You laugh and shake your head

He takes off his helmet and glares at Casey who was laughing.

"Can it sidekick". Raph points at Casey

You hear a groan on the ground and look at the douchebag, he started to crawl and climb away from us.

"Aww, ain't that cute, he's trying to get away." Casey sweetly mocks.

You turn to the boys and you all smirked at each other, you turn back to the crook and approach him.

"Well, looks like I got sidekicks." Casey grins and you huff.

"Yea right, you're the sidekick." Raph says confidently.

"In your dreams boys." You glare playfully at them.

Once the crook was chained to the light post, we three ended up on the roof top watching the crowd.

Casey and I look at each other knowing the burning question in our minds. You were brave enough to ask first.

"Hey, what's with the vigilante phase? I thought you and your brothers were done with fighting crime since Leo left." You asked, concerned for his well being. Raph sighed and he looks at the street.

"What was I supposed to do? Sit around, wait for Leo to come back and save the day? I mean we haven't heard word one from him since Splinter sent him away on his little "vacation." Raph glares at the street.

"You're right on that part, but don't you think it's a little tiresome cleaning the streets by yourself? I mean, there hasn't been a foot clan activity since the Shredder's death, so there's no use of handling lower class criminals." You sighed softly and nodded towards the guy chained on the light post.

"Come on, you think these lowlifes take vacations at the first sign of pressure? No. The criminal element of this city may be guilty of a lot of things, but being quitters ain't one of them." Raph puts his helmet in his duffle bag. You look towards Casey and he nods.

"So, what happens if Leo comes back? Are you gonna keep being the NightWatcher?" You asked softly with concern.

"You know, I-I don't even care about Leo anymore. Kinda hope he never comes back." Raph gets up with a dismissive wave. You sighed a bit, kinda feeling guilty about thinking the same thing.

"Come on, aren't you being a little hard on the guy?" Casey suggested calmly.

"Who wouldn't be hard on him." You mumbled quietly.

"I don't know. It's possible. I guess if I could live anywhere other than the city I'd go to, but I can never leave this place. I can't even sleep without the sound of the subway rumbling over my head." Raph sighs while his hands above his head, making his point.

"No offense, but aren't you guys used to loud noises by now since you guys make a lot of noise." You pointed out, looking at him. He sat back down beside me.

"Guess it comes from growing up with a house full of brothers." Raph looks down at the streets again.

"I'm not trying to tell you what to do, I'm just saying that, if it was my brother, I'd find a way to work it out. But that's just me. I got my own issues y'know? Like back at home with April." Casey says, taking off his hockey mask.

"You don't say." You hide my grin and let him continue.

"There's this whole thing about settling down that makes me miss the old times. I don't know if I can be the grown up she needs me to be." Casey sighs and looks down at the street. You pat his shoulder lightly and smile at him.

"It's okay to miss the old times, but it's not okay to wait for it to come back. We all had a good run together. It's time to make more out of our lives other than breaking bones every once in a while. It's not gonna be easy to let go of those awesome times but we can make better ones. Just think about what you want to do with April." You reassured him with a gentle smile and he smiled back.

Casey puts his hockey mask on top of his head and we hear snoring. We look to our right and see Raph asleep while sitting up. Casey sighs and You giggle at Raph's tired state.

"Good talk Raph." Casey sarcastically says and stands up to shake him. You stop him and smile.

"I'll take him back to his place, you go back to your apartment and rest. April told me to tell you to stay alert of the time tomorrow. She's gonna be coming back waiting for you." You informed him with a grin and picked up Raph's duffle bag.

"Oh shit. Thanks for the heads up, I'll put the alarm clock on. Are you sure you can handle this?" Casey gestures towards Raph and you laugh.

"I've handled him from the very beginning, watch this." You grin and knock Raph's shell, making Casey eyes a bit wide.

"Come on Raph, you're sleeping on the rooftop again. Let's go to the lair." You insisted and Raph wakes up and rubs his eyes while standing up.

"Sorry Casey, what were ya saying?" Raph asks looking at Casey. Casey rolls his eyes and pats your back.

"Nothing sidekick, just saying goodnight because April needs me in the morning." Casey salutes to Raph and puts his bat over his shoulder.

"Alright, see ya later." Raph was confused but shrugged it off.

Once Casey left, you walked with Raph to the nearest manhole cover. It's been almost three weeks since you've been to the lair. Being busy with being a bartender and waitress at a fancy restaurant wasn't easy to balance.

"So, how have you been?" Raph questioned curiously.

"Things have been coming along, pretty tired from the long shift, but I'm taking some days off to save the energy." You smiled at him.

"Meet anyone new?" He raised an eyebrow, hinting something.

"Raph...I don't know..He's a good guy, and wants nothing but to spend time with me whatever chance he gets. I don't feel ready for that no matter how long he waits." You hop down the fire escape and stand beside the manhole cover with him. Raph notices the internal battle I'm having and puts a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, it's okay. Just go on one date with him and see how it goes. If you still don't feel like you're ready then cut it off, but if you do then keep going. Stop waiting on Leo to come back. It's been a year. After that letter, you should start thinking about what's best for you. No more looking back." Raph softly says and see's your eyes collect tears, he froze in place, not sure what to do.

"I just want to know why I wasn't enough..." Your voice cracked and tears started to fall from my eyes. Raph sighs and hugs you close.

"It's gonna be okay." Raph murmured softly, rubbing your back. Ever since the break up letter, Raph has been there for you. April was the first to know but since she couldn't stand the way you were shutting myself out, she told the guys about it. Splinter was surprised to learn that his eldest son has ended the relationship with the woman he truly loves.

Ever since then, they were the ones picking up the pieces that Leo left behind. Raph was pretty pissed when Leo decided to break things off with you. He thought that it was cowardly on Leo's part, he may be his brother but you're like a sister to him. He's gonna show Leo that he can't get away with anything when he comes back.

Once you were done crying, Raph took his duffle bag from you and opened the manhole cover.

"You should sleep, and then visit us tomorrow cause Mikey won't shut up about you." Raph grunts thinking about Mikey, making you wipe your tears and giggle.

"I will come by after my shift, so tell Mikey to hold on a little longer." You smile gently. Raph nods and smiles while going into the sewers.

You sigh, disappointed by how Leo still had this affect on you, feeling sorry for yourself and lowering your self esteem. It's been over a year and you need to move on from him. On your walk home you pull out your cell phone and call the number. He picked up on the second ring.

"(Y/n), it's nice to hear from you, are you alright?" He softly asks, concerned.

"I'm good Winters, I-uh, wanted to take your offer on coffee tomorrow. I'm sorry if I called you at a bad time." You felt nervous accepting his offer but you need to keep going.

"Not at all my dear, I'm rather happy of this surprise. I'll come pick you up around 8 o'clock, will that be alright?" You could hear the smile through the phone even though you couldn't see it.

"That sounds great, see you then?" You smiled through the phone as well.

"See you then (Y/n)." Winter chuckles and you both hang up.

You smiled to yourself and put a strand of hair behind your ear, you walked into your apartment and landed on the bed. You finally took the step to move forward and you don't feel as guilty as you would a couple months ago. You get up from the bed and smile while picking out the clothes from your closet, ready for tomorrow in general. You changed into your comfortable clothes and went to bed. Closing your eyes, you can't stop smiling at the thought of giving someone else a chance, it felt weird and exciting. Maybe things aren't so bad after all.

“Who was that brother?” Aguila asked, observing Winters closing his flip phone.

“That, my brother, is an important guest who will help us fulfill our birthrights.” Winters grins at his brother.

Hopefully she's the answer.

Story time! 

So despite NTT Solmare / Shall We Date like ghosting ( seriously none of their accounts have been updated in months ?? and the last news was them pulling a lot of their stories from apps etc. ) I dived back into the Story Jar app, I had a new phone so I started everything fresh. Anyways! I kind of super adore the concept of The Niflheim & a lot of the character designs etc. ( though there’s also obviously a looooot of problems with this story as well mostly regarding things happening to the MC that are entirely out of her control & this does unfortunately include characters touching/picking her up without consent & ugh )

Sorry, rambling, the point is I found a like 4 year old blog doing a playthrough while I was looking at a possible walkthrough for Nick && it was called ‘My Drunk Otome’ and I was practically falling over laughing. THE BEST PART was a gif that I believe someone on the blog made. While I couldn’t copy it to show you, I screen capped it so you could see what I am talking about because I AM DYING.

There’s the original so you can kind of see, and honestly I am just. I laughed so hard. Orlando is the only character I actively dislike from this series, I played his route once (the sad ending because I was just reading for diamonds) and I can’t say he improves much even in his own route. In my opinion, at least, but then again I am never a big fan of characters belittling the MC on a constant goddamn basis. Sir, the princess was brought here against her will & not only is she being forced into a marriage (obvs future loophole bc of the stories BUT YKWIM) but now undergoing rigorous bridal training after JUST HAVING COME BACK TO LIFE so you could CHILL on the whole ‘the princess is lazy’ bullshit thanks.

I’m sorry, done rambling now, however I am very tempted to start my own drinking game series of The Niflheim. Since despite its many flaws the setting, the MC, the art & character designs are still some of my absolute favorite ever within the otome genre.
