Antoine: Well, technically, she could come back, but I don’t think it’s as simple as that

ZeratoR: What are you waiting for?

Etoiles: It’s Lost, it’s Lost

Antoine: Well, her character is dead in game

ZeratoR: Ahhh… but isn’t there a way to— to— a gimmick?

Antoine: No but don’t worry, there’ll probably be a gimmick (laughs) there’ll probably be a gimmick, don’t worry

Etoiles: Something that makes me laugh a bit is the fact that because there’s so many open plotlines it leads to fan theories that are sometimes really fun. There was a moment when my character’s skin, well, it was made for me with white eyes. And well I used it because I found it cool. And, actually, when I put it on, I read 65 tweets from people going, ‘hey, did you know that Etoiles’ character is blind because he actually lost his eyesight because he was—‘

Antoine: But you know on this server, the moment you say any sentence it gets overinterpreted in every way

Etoiles: It’s so funny—

Antoine: What’s wild is that there’s a billion theories on things, and for my part there are people that have understood some stuff about the theory and everything, which I find rather fun

Etoiles: Well it’s— you can’t reproach them because—

Antoine: Oh no precisely, I don’t want to reproach them, on the contrary I find it so cool!

Etoiles: Yeah but it’s funny the extent to which they get in their heads about it— like, you say one sentence on the server and you read a whole text of 65–

Antoine: Yeah, yeah it’s that

Etoiles: It’s really so funny

Antoine: What, you’re kidding, dude?!

Etoiles: Basically I’m apart of an organisation that’s called the Resistance—

Antoine: (scoffs)

Etoiles: —and it’s completely hidden within the server, no one knows about it in the roleplay

ZeratoR: Even I knew about it, so

Etoiles: Yeah, well there you go. And therefore I have a hidden team that allows me to go into buildings, kill Federation agents that take care of the Island, and—

Antoine: But why would you want to kill Federation agents, dude?

Etoiles: Well because they’re not very nice, dude

ZeratoR: (laughs) Oh the lore is incredible. Well, it’s not nice to be mean, but…

Etoiles: The thing that’s funny—

Etoiles: —is that I see messages from people on Twitter reacting like, ‘well I think it’s insane that Etoiles is killing Federation agents,’ when I don’t want to kill them. I never want to kill them. When I kill them, it’s because I’m forced to. And the last time, I didn’t want to kill them—

also while im at it, those who follow my main account probably heard me talking about an ARPG (art role play group) on Deviant Art im in, called Grimsby Grove, with a semi closed evoluting species, and sometimes i have fun making fake designs for arknights characters because the brainrot is just too strong and i get funny ideas with the mechanisms and stuff available in the group

I don’t really play guilty gear but I love their design it slaps

I was reading the guilty gear wikipedia entry for the united states of america page today, and found out that it has 100 million people on it. Which was immediately alarming, the US population in 2000, pre crusades, was 280 million.

But it immediately got worse. The US in GG encompasses both north and south america. Which in 2000, was 830 million. I was a newcomer to the series with strive, and it was always really hard for me to get a good idea of how the crusades were, but this figure was legitimately so chilling that a lot of the series weirdness immediately got put into perspective. Is it any wonder so many maps have destroyed geography, like floating islands and distorted cliffs? Is it any wonder Lars Canyon is filled with destroyed machinery and abandoned bridges beneath glaciers? Is it any wonder that Hell/Council of theee has the ruins of a city that faced complete devastation? I always imagined the world of guilty gear to be a fun and vibrant place full of life and magic, a place that was already rebuilt on top of a ruined world for a better tomorrow. That place is actually, extremely fucked up. It does make you wonder what the global population is now, though.

Putting aside my sadness over never seeing or knowing more about Uraume as a whole (why GG whyyyyy), I need to come and say I'll always remember this one characteristic about them:

Their unwavering loyalty to Sukuna.

Uraume knew Sukuna from the Heian Era (1000 years ago), and knowing him better than most, still chose to be by his side until the very end. At death's door, they even reasoned and defended Sukuna - "if you peasants had fought his OG self, without liabilities of incarnation of a vessel, you would have lost." This is how deep they know and trust their master.

When they noticed their master's death (or defeat), they calmly and collectedly accepted it and immediately proceeded to commit a "seppuku" of sorts. Without their master, they feel like their role is done, and I would dare say they don't think a world without him is even worthy of living in.

There is such a bravery in facing death like this. There is no shame or downplaying in dying as mindful and truthful to oneself as Uraume did during this two pages...

...The only shame is that everything else about them ended up quite scarce to virtually non-existent 😞

Is Pearl a avian-hybrid and is Gem an Elf in your GG rivals au?

They are both human as of now!

I had considered making Gem a deer hybrid at the beginning, but it just didn't fit. I am still considering making her and Etho fox hybrids (I would just go add parts in the older chapters to include Gem having fox features), but I am undecided.

What do you guys think? Should they be foxes?

Pearl will remain fully human though. It just fits her the most for the story I am attempting to tell.
