the cruelty of having summer being my yearly artblock season is unreal, i literally have so much time but no motivation, can't draw properly for shit, here's more mer au (this is the most i committed to an au so far lmao)

brown-deluque family yippee (idk if i wrote it right actually, welp, that's a problem for later me). i went for a family's portrait thingy and then realised that i kinda still need to show the tails lmao

!foolish is basically a reincarnated living tool of ancient god (totem of immortality specifically). back then he wasn't himself exactly immortal - inside of him he had an inner vessel of god given energy that kept him alive (for as long as the vessel wasn't destroyed). Well, it did get partially destroyed, but with a help of an old friend instead of fully dying he just started reincarnating over and over again(instead of moving on to Dead dimension of whatever i called it last time). None if those reincarnations remembers the past lives (!foolish is 25th reincarnation). The mer part is blue shark, because that would be a crime to make it anything else.

!vegetta mer part is black sea bass (but uorple). i didn't really created much stuff for him admittedly so yeah.

!roier was the first one to be basically adopted by !fool and !vege back in another settlement (they had to move out to a current one after uhh An Incident). I'm planning to yap about him later tho.

!leo is supposed to be some sort of cloud dragon (the hair is basically a very thick cloud. i made it black because uhhh idk in this world some clouds can be other colors yeah). the mer part is nursehound inspired. she's was found the first out of all other dragon child in this mer settlement; mostly because she somehow appeared exactly at family's doorstep.

How do you draw so often without the fear of it not looking good or it’ll look weird? Or what do you do when you feel like art is just, too hard?

You’re someone who has increasingly been motivational and inspirational to me towards my own art in a sense, because it looks like you’re absolutely having a blast doing art, and admittedly I wish to have that same drive.

You’re doing great, I love seeing your stuff! But I am sorry if this sounded like a lot to say randomly on Anon, it’s just been something on my mind for quite some time.

anon, i want you to know that my art journey for so long, was full of trepidation for a lot of those exact reasons. i spent a good deal of my early art years worrying because i felt my work didn't compare to my friends, or the people i followed online - and so I didn't go out of my comfort zone much. which resulted in stagnation. i think, if i had pushed myself to draw the stuff i wanted, i might have been in a much better place artwise then i am today!

this is going to sound super corny and dorky but my number one art tip is to just go for it! sometimes stuff doesn't come out good. hell, i feel like a lot of my stuff still doesn't come out how i'd like! but in my opinion, art that comes out bad, that you still tried on, is better then no art at all. everything, and I do mean everything, that you try is an addition to your skillset somehow. i really hope i am not coming off too much like a dorky middle school teacher right now, lol.

another tip is find something you like or that makes you happy and draw it a million times whenever you have artblock. that is basically what i do with homestuck characters - and is the whole reason i have this blog hehe. i'm definitely not suggesting you post three drawings every day for a year because as much as i loved my dailies, i know that type of shit can be a huge burnout for people. it definitely was for me at times! but keeping a sketchbook or a page where you post silly little doodles frequently allows you to give yourself that goal of practice.

i feel like i have rambled forever now, oops. art is hard! and i am not great at communicating my thoughts. i guess at the end of the day, keep at it! when i was younger- hell, even a year ago, i would never have thought someone would send me a message telling me that my work inspired them. this means so much to me, and i promise someone someday is gonna reach out to you and tell you something similar.

you are awesome and your art is probably awesome too :D keep drawing- as long as you do, you will never stop getting better.

Luna Jane Arabella Berry-Jones Flores, is my ramshackle sona and lover of Vinnie, She is a rich girl that has a mean and stuck up behavior at the start but slowly becomes sweeter, nurturing, nice and caringto more people, she's also very curious and since she decided to be different LOVES to learn new stuff, but please don't mess with her routine.

She starts off as mean and oblivious and naive as the others until one day she goes to one of the many ramshackle's next top sweetheart pageants as a guest for winning three times when she was a infant, and seeing a certain brunette scrap fight some lootbags, which somehow made her start to have "strange feelings" (she's gay and in love but she needs to listen to Chappell Roan to know that)

She then has more unexpected meetings with Vinnie that is basically Luna and Vinnie bickering, Vinnie pranking Luna in some way and Luna leaving confused, angry but also flustered at Vinnie's nature.

She then starts discovering herself and loses that obliviousness and wants to start getting to know scraps her and Vinnie slowly start becoming friends but always still with a tension.

The thing Luna still is oblivious with her feelings (GOOD LUCK BABE, YOU'LL HAVE TO STOP THE WORLD JUST TO STOP THE FEELING) and I think surely Vinnie thinks Luna is too good for her.

I didn't know how to make a intro for a blog so I took @small-world-au 's intro as a template (of course with their permission) so thankssssssss darling!

Luna after the occurrence with Vinnie she starts writing this tiny magazine, where she writes all the towns gossip, she obviously wouldn't be allowed to do this so she writes these tiny magazines with a alter ego called "Lady Amourville" and to not be discovered she also writes a bit of gossip about herself... At the start she writes only about the gossip between the rich folk but then as she becomes less and less ignorant she writes more and more about the scraps at a point where she writes about scraps equally if not more than the rich folk and it slowly becomes a testimony book and a way to show the rich folk that they're not so different from the scraps, that they all have they're dark sides, problems and love affairs and some metal and paper can't make them different from eachother. So it basically becomes a instrument to show her advancing as a character, and also that's it's heavily inspired in Lady Wistledown from "the Bridgertons".

(Maybe I'll start writing little chapters and things about her storyline in ramshackle and her romance with Vinnie, let me know if you'd guys like that and your completely allowed to make fan-things for the Ladytramp (Luna x Vinnie) ship and for my character, as long as you give me credit and also because I LOVE WHEN MUTUALS DRAW AND MAKE FAN-STUFF, FOR MY SELFSHIPS I'LL REBLOG YOU AND THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES LIKE A LITTLE GIRL RECEIVING A TRIP TO DISNEYLAND AND I'M SERIOUS!!!💕💕)

It’s indescribable, but your art just has it’s charm to it that makes it so special and lovely. Every drawing you make is absolutely amazing, and you’re an incredibly talented writer as well! Jeez. Wow, I hardly know what to say. Like literally I've been sitting on this ask for a day thinking of how to respond.

It's pretty dang rare to hear I'm someones favorite artist, so I was shocked to see this when I woke up yesterday. I just want you to know that means the world to me, and it's a huge honor. Thank you so much. As well as the praise towards my writing, it means so much to me to hear positive feedback about it. To know my silly art and writing has had a positive impact on you is incredible. I love that, thank you so much. <:D 🩵

As for how I make my au designs? Gosh I really am not sure. It really is just me pulling up a blank canvas and drawing the characters then adding clothes and armor that I feel fits them. I actually had someone recently ask me on discord how I came up with FD Jesse's design and what the process was, but that one art of them I did with Lukas and Jesse standing side by side (I'll link it at the end) was the first time I drew their designs for this au. Wasn't even sure if I'd stick with the Jesse design but then a bunch of people started making fanart of him and I am SOOOO unbelievably grateful for that but then I knew the design was a success and he grew on me a ton, so I don't see myself changing it. I don't usually use references when doing my character designs, I kind of just work with what I know how to draw already and try to get the image in my head out into the drawing. For the royal au Jesse, I had Link (LoZ) in mind 🥰
