Okay so I'm angry, feel free to ignore or whatever.

warnings: swearing, terrible grammar, possible spelling mistakes.

white fanfic creators will worship the white / white passing characters and get so fuckin mad when people " mis-characterize " those characters. when in reality others are usually exploring the character as a whole. maybe they're kind in a fic or the 'precious cinnamon roll' gets genuinely mad for a good reason. but that doesn't fit their view of said character and they feel so comfortable yelling at whoever wrote the fic and shitting all over them???

then they want to strip a black character of their blackness and pretend like racism doesn't exist in their little worlds and they make black readers feel so... false? like we don't even actually exist. like they won't even go through the bare minimum of finding new ways to express embarrassment it's ALWAYS blushing. or feeling your face turn red. and someones always playing with y/ns hair??

but god forbid a black writer create a black reader that other people can fuckin enjoy? or express that a BLACK character might feel uncomfortable dating a white person?? or the (black) character and their white significant other will experience the world differently?

and it hurts cause fanfic writers will spend hours up to weeks researching a time period or a fantasy race (elf, dragon, witch, etc) for accuracy but they won't consider it for a black character or reader? thats so sad.

especially when they take offence at black writers only wanting other people of color to interact with their posts. Like you kick us out of the chatacters xreader tag. but the xblack!reader tag is for everyone?

and then the smut. it's always borderline racist. like the character frowned or got angry once and now they're characterized as a toxic, rude, violent person? like if you want rough smut there are so many not-black characters who are word for word what you want. but you instead force those ideas onto the black characters with no evidence!

like they aren't porn-bots for your little kinks. they mean something to those black readers and writers who finally got some representation and now we've gotta scroll through pages of uncomfortable smut to find one fic where the character is sweet... but y/n is white as hell.

like i hardly write because im afraid of white fanfic writers taking my stories as a personal offence. especially with Hobie. since there's always someone in his tag with their "hot take" or actively yelling at a black writer bc we express these feelings.

like just shut up. please. or do some fucking research.

If im being completely honest there’s a big part of me that is afraid that the fallout from LW reveal will damage them to a place I won’t find myself rooting for them anymore. I mean what if he goes back to fake take Colin and there’s a whole Friends-esque ‘we were on a break!’ situation of him being with someone else? What if they call off the engagement entirely and all we end up with at the end of episode 8 is reunited Polin but nothing more? No wedding or babies or anything? I know it’ll be real bad and hurt and I know it needs to happen, I’m concerned about the journey they’ll take from the reveal to reconciliation. How bad do you see it getting? Broken engagement? Estranged until the last bit of episode 8 as other seasons have done? Would love to hear your thoughts!

i spent a while trying to figure out how to answer this without a bunch of spoilers and truthfully, the only thing i have is do you trust the story you're watching? what about the first part of season 3 made you think that's going to happen?

and i mean that sincerely. even if they do something you don't particularly like, is your idea of the story stronger than the story itself and it hinders your overall enjoyment? those people are the ones who seem to be the most unhappy with season 3 so far.

also they're following the book pretty well, or at least adding a good amount of it in there, and there's a whole plot/character growth for them happens after the wedding. a pretty important one at that.

i meant what i said in that i think the LW fight is going to be painful but i actually don't think the conflict will last all that long, tbh. not to bring up the book like it's gospel but seriously, colin is very aware of how society treats her and it colors the way he thinks of society because of it. he knows he's privileged and well liked and life is easier for him because of it.

eloise is still convinced that her every thought is the right one and overlooks penelope in a lot of ways which gives her sense of betrayal almost a prideful feel to it. colin is both in love with penelope and aware of her in a way that eloise isn't. i'm sure their fight will hurt and be angsty but love isn't a black and white proposition, it's got a lot more layers than that and colin's understanding and love of penelope would play into that i assume.

i suppose i'm just not worried about it. i don't have to like every part of a story to love the end result. i also don't think, after seeing how badly people reacted to every overblown spoiler/rumor, that people should take someone online on their word over the show itself and the people who worked on it.

ive been asked a few times about how i make my moodboards and my MethodTM so here it is!

this is an image heavy post and as detailed and comprehensive as i can possible make it, if you have any questions let me know and i'll help if i can!

also, this is made with sites and apps for desktop- i have no experience editing on mobile so if that's what you're looking for im afraid i cant help you, sorry! ↷↷↷

Choose Your Fighter

let's get right into it- first thing first choose a character, or a ship or a series or whatever! i'll be doing a ship because it's a teeny bit more involved than just a single character or series

the ship will be grim x mandy from the one show

Picking Pictures

obviously the most important part of a moodboard is the Pictures

i use pinterest personally, and finding them on there is usually pretty easy, especially if i have an idea of things i want to include. a lot of people already have boards made up for characters as well, so just searching the character names under the 'board' option will usually get you where you need to go!

but i know some people prefer sources with free to use, royalty free type images, so i included those as well:

you can have as many or as little as you'd like, but personally i prefer the classic 9x9 grid style moodboards, so im obviously gathering 9 photos

as for what pictures to choose, here are some things to ask yourself:

do you have a color scheme you associate with this character/ship? are there any themes that are relevant?

these are the pics i choose for my board- they're raw, unedited, and uncropped, which we'll be changing here in a bit

notice that ive chosen the color scheme of pink, black, and white because that suits them and is also the colors in their actual character palettes

ive also picked some things that feel relevant to the ship and its vibes- mandy is associated with daisies, so i got a picture with a girl with a daisy in her eye, which i also paired with a skull with a flower in its eye socket, bringing them together with a common theme. there are also little black shoes and a bloody knee for mandy, a psythe and what could work for cerberus for grim, and since their ship is kind of gruesome and mean spirited (affectionate) as well as the show having pulpy vibes, i got a heart shaped steak, a pulpy romance/horror cover, and an old horror movie card with their VibesTM

Formatting

now that we have our pictures, its time to figure out the formatting! i went ahead and already did that with the pictures above using a site ipiccy, specifically the 'collage' options

once you press 'collage', you'll open up to this menue, where im choosing the 9x9 grid, but as you can see there are other options there if you wanna use them! then you're gonna press 'add images'

then you add images here (mine are already loaded in):

afterwards, you play around with the placement of the images- its okay if they clip or dont properly fit in the box, this is Only figuring out where you want the pictures to go, we'll place them properly later in a different program

when im placing them i like to consider patterns and shapes- top left square is a 'mandy' square, so bottom right should be a 'grim square', as well as echo each other- in this case the flowers in the eyes thing, and so on, even down to the pointy little shoes and the pointy little sythe this part can be v subjective, so i encourage you to play around until it clicks for you

i hope my scribbles kinda help explain visually what i mean:

also as a small personal tip: when i make moodboards i want to capture the feeling of a character/ship/what have you Without just Saying it. because of that i lean more heavily on the pictures themselves and Only ever use One that has text on it. again this is subjective, but to me its a 'telling vs showing' thing and too many words makes the whole thing feel v cluttered with little room for the actual characters involved

once you're satisfied with your placement, take a screenshot to reference your placement, and then we move on to

PS/Photopea, Templates, Adjustments, and PSDs

this is where we get really into it

firstly, i know most people either dont have PS or are nervous about downloading a cracked version (def do not click this because it is def not a link to older ps files you can dl for free) but luckily there's an extremely comprehensive in-browser option that is totally free called Photopea, which can be found HERE

its basically a 1 to 1 rebuild of the real thing, and since its more accessible i'll be using that to finish up my board!

first, you'll wanna throw your template in there, here's the one im using

once you open it, you also need to open the pics you chose to use- i suggest doing this one at a time to not overcrowd the program

once the pic is open, copy it and paste it over onto the moodboard, and then right click the layer and set it to 'clipping mask' which will keep the pic within the bounds of just the template:

then go over the toolbar on the right, press the 'rectangle select', then right click the board and select 'free transform' to move the picture around freely:

now is where you look at the screenshot you took of the ipiccy placement, and then you simply move the picture in the proper place in the moodboard! you might need to select and cut off the part that doesnt fit neatly into the square

continue doing this until you have it all filled out, and take some time to properly fit the pics (for example, the pic with the text needed to be (to does this is photopea drag around the corners while in 'free transform, and if you dont want it to scale at the same dimensions press 'shift' on the keyboard while you drag, which is what i had to do with the text or the flower-in-the-skull to make it fit properly))

its important that All your layers are properly set to clipping mask, otherwise it'll be all messed up! so it should look like like this when you're done, and hopefully everything will be layered on the board properly, and we end up with this:

you could stop here and be done with it, the entire moodboard can be finished now, but i like to tweak things like contrast and value and levels, which are found here in the 'image' section at the top- ive been as tutorial-esque as i can be so far, but this one really comes down to playing around with it and making adjustments until you like the outcome (each layer can be changed individually)

i try to make it so everything feels even- the blacks match and the whites match and none of them feel particularly lighter or darker or more saturated than the others

these are premade colors/effects that you drop on top of board to help even things out, maybe make some colors Pop

there are a Ton of them free to use on tumblr and deviantart, and Here is a tutorial on how to use them! (its done on mobile but works functionally the same as on desktop)

feel free to make adjustments to the photos more under the psd until it looks right to you

once ive selected and used the psd i wanted, i export it as a png, and this is the result!

While I understand someone people wanting to leave altogether with the constant racism and trolling over valid criticism. Someone pointed out that by leaving the Fandom or genre we are just letting the racism, harassment, abuse continue and just accepting that hyv won't change.

Seeing people trying to excuse that the video games is a work of fiction gets overuse and pointless. Because as soon as they see a game with Black, POC, not sexualized woman who is beautiful in her own way, LGBTQIA character those same people bring out the touches and pick forks.

I would always like to bring their words back to them because just how stupid they sound. Having character like these isn't an issue but for someone reason white washing actually culture and historical character shouldn't be an issue?

Hyv themselves uses that excuse of “it’s just fiction guys!!” Like stop… stop, because fiction affects reality so heavily. Y’know jaws? Jaws the movie jaws? Jaws the shark movie? … Jaws? Alright alright alright im starting to try and get into the spidergwen comics after learning about her existence through spiderverse and have been rotating her (or at least a version of her that exists in my head) in my skull while she bounces around like the dvd screensaver as I try to work out all of what I’m supposed to read (why are comics like this?)

Anyways I found ur account today and have been reading through it and such (you have so much insight even if a lot of it isn’t super understandable rn) and you seem pretty qualified here. I was wondering if the transcoding of Gwen is a spiderverse invention or if there’s some in the comics as well perhaps.

but to answer your question.... i'm gonna say something controversial here so just run with me.

the short answer is: no. gwen-65 from the comics is not trans.

the spiderverse movies added that to her character (specifically, in atsv; itsv gwen isn't trans-coded at all), likely as a way to at best, acknowledge that spider-gwen is inherently queer... but without interfering with their overpowering need to ship her with a straight boy. or at worst, it's a way to sidestep gwen's sapphicness without getting called out for erasing her queerness. and it worked. people embraced the coding, insist comics gwen should be everything sv gwen is too, and they claim she was always that way (she's not), and now any conversations about the spiderverse films’ queer erasure are so muddled that they can’t happen: anytime someone says “uh, why the fuck is gwen being straightwashed so miles can date her” someone will swoop in and say “but she’s trans-coded.”

the long answer is: here. it's 50+ pages long. i'm not exaggerating. but it's the fullest answer you'll get about what kind of queer gwen is... and it's not trans. i'll take the trans-specific sections of that meta and post them below the cut.

the mid-length answer is: no. there's plenty of evidence for a trans reading, but the coding is shaky at best, and it's basically canon that gwen-65 is cis.

gwen is indisputably queer-coded in the latour run... but the latour run keeps the coding vague enough that you can identify her as whatever kind of queer you want.

sure, gwen could be trans. but the things people point to as 'evidence' can also be read as proof that she's asexual, a lesbian, bi, pan, so on and so forth.

discovering a secret side of yourself during puberty and hiding it from your parent because you're afraid they'll hate or fear you, or have you locked up, if they know? insert any queer identity here.

gwen's coming-out speech to her father? is lifted nearly word for word from gwen's first issue. where it can apply to being any other kind of queer.

concealing who you really are from a straight boy who's attracted to you because you're afraid he'll reject you if he knows, and that being in a romantic relationship that's expected of you will inherently hurt you? again, insert any kind of queer.

having your boyfriend's parents reject you off a single look? yes, that could be very applicable to the trans dating experience. it's more likely that this is intended to reflect the interracial dating experience, since gwen is white and miles is black.

there isn't a point in gwen's solo where the pink, blue and white colors of the trans flag rain down around her. her covers do often use the pink/orange/white of the lesbian flag during the latour run, and moves more towards the blue/purple/pink of the bisexual flag in the mcguire run. if you want to play the color theory game, you'll lose. (... and even in itsv, gwen's also surrounded by pink/orange/white and blue/pink/purple. so just off the colors of her backgrounds in the movie, there isn't a consensus.)

george stacy calling peter's death gwen 'taking a son away from him' is new and unique to the movies. in the comics, peter's death (which she is directly responsible for) is essentially an act of police brutality on gwen's part. and the queer subtext is there, but it's that peter's an incel who gwen defended herself from after refusing to give in to comphet. that entire theme is Gone from the movies, likely to make sure gwen's more positive towards the idea of dating miles.

gwen leaves her dimension right after revealing herself to her dad, but it's not because she's too afraid to stay or thinks she can't go home (george immediately backs down when she reveals herself, never tries to arrest or shoot her, and instantly starts protecting her from the cops). it's because she wants to help the spider-army fight an interdimensional threat. the whole time she's away, she knows she's going back. no theming whatsoever about being a trans girl fleeing an unaccepting world. if anything, earth-65 is more accepting than the rest of the multiverse, which constantly insists to gwen that she must enter heteronormative relationships.

other things that may ring true for the trans experience also have other explanations:

gwen's fear of revealing her secret identity to her friends because she's worried they'll see her as a monster: is a universal teenage anxiety with many different interpretations. but in context... she literally killed their friend and is on the run because of that.

gwen's transience and constant secrecy: is because she's a fugitive. she's not running away from home because she's a trans girl fleeing persecution. she's constantly running because she is guilty of the crime she's being accused of. she did kill peter.

gwen learning she's a part of a subgroup of people who are subject to a disproportionate amount of violence and sexual assault, and objectified yet treated as inherently disposable to the point where their premature and often violent deaths are normalized-- and that these issues are considered unsolvable and acceptable by everyone around her: could read as a commentary on the treatment of trans women by society. it could also apply to queer women, and to women in general.

gwen's love of traditionally masculine nerdy culture and hobbies: is a tactical move to get a mostly-male audience (... who wouldn't be very open about reading about a more conventionally feminine girl) to relate to gwen as a person. they made her a tomboy.

gwen's grungy, androgynous wardrobe and lanky build: are a protective measure to keep gwen from being sexualized by her artists.

gwen's spider-suit has nothing to do with the trans flag, and wasn't originally, pink, white and blue: it was purple, white and blue. the blue was a reference to latour's hometown basketball team, the charlotte hornets. the pink was purple, but it kept being miscolored and now that the movies and animation stuck with pink (especially the spiderverse movies; remember how aggressively pink gwen's backstory sequence was?), it's gonna stay that way. if anything, the shift from purple to pink is some gender essentialist Pink Is The Girl Color So Give It To The Girl Hero bullshit.

gwen's fondness for hoodies: was a very misguided 2014-era commentary on how "wearing a hoodie doesn't make you a criminal." yes, it's referencing that. and it did not age well (especially since gwen is guilty of the crime she's being accused of) so we don't talk about it anymore. it's also a design loophole to make sure she's recognizably feminine, without having to show any hair or skin (because the hood stands in for long hair; more gender norm enforcement).

gwen's dependency on pills to access her powers: is part of a recurring theme in the latour run about substance abuse: gwen ditches and lies to her friends and family, vanishes for weeks and wakes up in bars and alleyways, is presumed dead by her loved ones many times, enters an abusive partnership with a much older man who plies her with drugs to keep her coming back to him, goes on the run with harry osborn (famously a drug addict in the main universe) as her dependency intensifies and he's near death due to his own... and her symbiote, which looks like black tar, is referred to as an addiction. could it be a metaphor for gwen transitioning? yes! is the more likely subtext that gwen's abusing drugs to cope with peter's death, especially given that her dependency on the pills and initial bond with gwenom are negative? yes. if you want to use the transition metaphor, go ahead. but be careful of what the negative framing then implies about the transition.

gwen using "we" pronouns in her gwenom form: is something all the venoms do. take it or leave it.

during the latour run, if you want to interpret gwen as trans, you can. there's plenty of fuel, and there's never a point where gwen says "i'm cis" out loud.

... until sitting in a tree. ironically, the crossover that got gwen in the spiderverse movies to begin with is the point where the possibility of gwen being trans ends, because it canonizes that earth-8 is a "possible future" of earth-65 (aka gwen-8 is a future version of gwen-65; same person, same consciousness, same body). and earth-8 is a world where gwen has biological children with miles. logically speaking, the only way that can happen is if gwen has a uterus (because you know miles is definitely cis).

is it hard canon that gwen gave birth to the kids? no. but look at the heteronormative hellscape that is earth-8 and the gwiles ship. gwen being the vessel for miles's biokids is an inherent part of the fantasy (because it's proof they had sex, it ties her to him forever, and it's that weird advance-my-bloodline shit straight people are into). the writers and fandom want gwen to have the hardware for that to be possible. they will never want the door closed to that possibility, so realistically gwen will never be transgender.

(... extremely funny to me that gwiles killed the possibility of trans gwen for a cishet nuclear family fantasy, then brought it back and pushed it hard a decade later to dodge straightwashing allegations, and both times it was to make sure miles could date her. pick a struggle.)

so. gwen is cis. and she'll almost certainly stay cis.

after the latour run, the mcguire run introduces the elements that atsv adopts: gwen feels unwanted, persecuted and alone in her world, is upset that she can't have a romance there, is driven out by being accused of a crime she didn't commit and starts aimlessly multiverse bouncing.

but given that it's pretty much canon that gwen's cis, the trans-coding you can squeeze out of gwen being run out of restaurants while she's on a date is paper thin. you can read gwen as trans, but she's definitely not being coded as such.

past the latour run, though gwen's sapphicness and avoidance of heteronormativity keep getting more and more obvious (the queer coding narrows down our options from the latour run's "who knows but she sure doesn't want to date or marry men" to the mcguire run's "gwen's not asexual and probably sapphic" to smash's "gwen's into women but in the closet about it"), the gender aspects completely fade away. gwen-65 is queer, but she's a cis woman.

... but. there is a canon transgender spider-gwen in the comics, that even appears in 2023, the year of atsv's release (... which definitely feels on purpose).

in shadow clones, we get a glimpse of dozens of alternate gwens across the multiverse (several of whom seem to be queer). including this guy to the lower right.

who is the only male gwen variant shown.

who has a trans flag and what looks like a trans symbol (⚧) pinned to his backpack. it's a canon transmasc spider-gwen.

he's very intentionally shown to not be our spider-gwen from earth-65... in the miniseries that comes out barely a few months after atsv. they're telling you 'we know a lot of the people who are reading this comic came from atsv and think gwen's trans. no, she isn't. but hey, there's one out there somewhere, if you squint!'

yes, it’s backhanded.

and that's the most we'll ever realistically get of a canon trans spider-gwen in the comics. be for fucking real: since marvel comics still won't let gwen-65 come out as bisexual, there's just no way they'll let her be trans at all. they're not gonna retcon a reveal that she was trans all along. they're not gonna have gwen go through a coming-out process that ends in her identifying as trans. it would be cool! but we have to be realistic, and realistically... it's not gonna happen.

gwen is and will be trans-coded in the spiderverse movies (...as long as a possible earth-8 ending doesn't blow a hole in that headcanon), but that won't spread to the comics, or likely anywhere else-- including future animation and live-action depictions.

in the long run, spiderverse gwen's most likely just a one-off whose lasting legacy on the character will be implying to the general public that spider-gwen is queer... while also delaying comics-gwen's confirmation as bisexual by muddying the water about what type of queer she is (which buys more time for gwiles to swoop in and stop her coming out from happening anytime soon... or at all).

Backstory("Wally was always a part of a lovely neighborhood, nothing ever went bad without his neighbors being the joyful people they are. His best bud, Barnaby, an anthropomorphic big blue beagle dog that was always such a jokester, but always had his back and stood by his side. The famous Sally, the star of the show! Literally! She's a beautiful star, and of course Julie, always so joyful. Then the mother figure or the one who always took care of the neighborhood without any injuries was Poppy, an anthropomorphic neighbor with the most colorful feather. The lovely couple, Eddie and Frank. Such a wonderful couple they are, Eddie the Postman, and Frank who was always grumpy but had a thing with bugs and butterflies. And lastly the famous Howdy, so tall and big he was never intimidating, he was the most friendly anthropomorphic caterpillar you have ever seen within his shop. Till... The accident happened. Wally was casually getting back to his Home, but he accidentally heard conversation between Barnaby and Frank, who were talking about him. Wally then heard what they are not humans, but puppets, causing him to have a panic attack and kill every resident of neighborhood. After that, the studio was shut and “Welcome Home” show was closed. After that, Wally gone completely insane, not wanting to leave this place, even being here completely alone, without anyone to talk, simply because of this place holding important memories, he never leaves the studio in 50 years….")

short answer: i really only use copic markers (i got the big 72 colour box for christmas a few years ago) and my trusty 4H pencil, with a 6B for the outlines!

longer answer: a few years ago i literally only worked in black and white, because i was terrfied at being bad at colouring. as a result, i was consuming a LOT of colour theory content but never really using it, and getting really good at tones and values. greyscale (for my style at least) forces you to block in shadows, so i learned how they work.

when i finally got my 16 year old rat hands on expensive markers, i had some idea of how colour worked, but not really. it took a lot of trial and error just to figure out how to colour a face. if i can be one of those annoying art people who gives advice, it would be practice effectively. it's about quality, not quantity, and i don't mean the quality of your work - don't be afraid to fuck up. changing my mindset from 'this is starting to look awful, time to set fire to my sketchbook' to 'this is starting to look awful, but now i can try and make something else about this good; at the very least i know what not to do' got me a lot further than just churning out art regularly.

one thing that took a while to shake (and im still not entirely over it) is using colours that look Wrong (tm) to gain a desired lighting effect. artists have to train themselves out of Knowing The Colour Of Things (we've all seen those colour theory videos where red is actually grey or some bullshit) and learn to take a step back when applying colour in their work. traditional art comes with the caveat that once colour is down (unless it's in pencil), it's there for good. no multiply layers to be seen.

the trick is to trust the process. the portrait of porter in the club (my profile picture, at time of writing) looked AWFUL with just flat colours and rim lighting. i get vibrant colours by layering them - especially with faces - until i build a 3D shape with the values. highlights are your best friend in the whole world. one shitty paint pen from ebay changed my entire artstyle because i could start creating depth in my colours without worrying about keeping light areas light.

HI HI HI here's my tips for skin :) i wouldn't call myself an expert or anything but. just some things ive learned!

this is what colors you get when you straight color pick from references. nothing wrong with it per say, she's quite cute! just a bit dull, yknow? there's a lot more you can do with it

this is the way my art professor has us do it when we color in pastels. it's a technique built for traditional, but works well through the screen! skin has an underlayer of red, no matter what shade it is. warm colors are best to lighten things up, and don't be afraid to add a touch of blue and brown to get the shadows! you can see that in the way i shaded the rest of an, too- her black shirt, for example, uses yellow highlights and purple shadows! don't be afraid to throw a color and blend it to death. (though, if you want a sharper edge, be careful not to smudge too much!) it's a very trust the process method- you have to build things to get the colors you want

and this is my way! (not The way. my way). (i got lazy on the rest of her so only the skin is different here) i tend to color pick to get a base, but almost always end up darkening the color. that goes in as the base. darker, cooler colors for shadows, and lighter, warmer colors for highlights. i also tend to add some pink around the cheeks/nose for blush, just because i think it looks cute. you can't tell unless you look, though.

no two areas of skin are the exact same shade. take your own hands, for example- the tips of your fingers are different than the base, and the back of your hand is different than your palm. you don't have to go crazy with it, but variation really helps!

and a general shading tip is to never use white or black- those aren't shading colors! they mess with color intensity. and, since you have access to literally every color digitally, you can always get what you want using different coolness/warmth values.

ummm for where to shade them... honestly, i'd recommend doing studies of lighting on people's faces to really get a handle on it. light is weird.

generally, there's usually pretty strong contrast on the nose? here, the light is from the bottom right corner, so it lights up that bottom edge. there's a bit of rim on the jawline, and the light bounces over the eyebrow bone line place. the shadow is cast on the left half of her face since the nose blocks it.

anime styles tend to not worry too much about strong face lighting, but it's definitely good to understand!

noir has black blood and webbing! (Which is something he should had have in spiderverse)

his glasses also completely obscure his eyes if he’s not trusting/alert/working mode but clear up when he’s chilling

doesn’t really matter all too much since he’s really expressive around people without his mask on which is a trait that Peter b shares

noir and peni don’t really quip like how miles or Peter does but luckily ham talks enough to carry all three of them

I love play around with the idea that their universe’s trademarks follows all three of them but in more random ways

The sky is a perfect clear blue and flowers sprout when ham’s singing in the morning and walking around New York. One of those “it’s a beautiful day today” songs

sunsets are the prettiest when peni is also there. It’s an intense yellow-orange with dark clouds rolling in the sky

Rain comes whenever noir is doing a angsty introspective monologue but he could literally just monologue about anything and rain will come his he pulls out all the stops

The wind seem to follow all three of them equally, peni’s a gust that carries a few leaves, ham’s a visible white swirling line, and noir’s blows on his trenchcoat

I imagine ham and noir, bless their poor souls, are always on edge when things begin to slow down because of the nature of their universe

ham has probably experienced dozing off or relaxing before suddenly BAM something happens suddenly scares him and /or calls him to man the spider ham role. Just part of the cartoon trope

meanwhile noir’s downtime in his universe means that something is brewing in his New York and he’s going to get a telephone call or hear that something’s happening that he has to go investigate

they almost afraid to settle down since it means that something is going to happen and something happening isn’t usually a good thing

peni doesn’t have this anxiety because she gets beach episodes and/or slice of life moments (instead she has breakdowns episodes where everything seems to go wrong until she can’t take it anymore:D)

this leds to peni to willed slice of life/beach episodes into Miles’s universe so ham and noir get to actually relax without fear of their universe logic coming out to get them

Hi!! This is a little story I'm working on that still has yet to be finished

What's it about?

It's a fluff x drama fic that is between modern!CEO!kaeya x fem!reader and diluc x childe x fem!reader.

It is no where near organized or put together.. It's all over the place lmao.

Well.. When will it be finished?

I procrastinate... A ton, so either within s couple of months, by the end of the year, or in a couple of years. I started this story in 2022 and it's still very short.

Oh,dear. Kaeya was in his office calling someone so he can work out a meeting and hopefully convince them into giving him all their money and then owning their business. He only did it to gain more power, for now he had stolen about 3 companies. You walk in by accident to set down his coffee he had asked for previously on his desk, he looks at you with a slightly annoyed look. Kaeya was busy on the phone and didn’t like anyone disturbing him. Not even you, “Y/N, why are you here? can't you see i'm on the phone.” he said with a obviously irritated tone, “im sorry sir i just walked in not expecting you to be on the phone since you're not on it so often,i didn't hear you speaking you know these walls and doors are thick..” you responded with a kinda upset tone, you didn't like getting in trouble,especially with him. He sighed as you put the coffee down on his desk finally. “Y/N get out for now. We’ll talk later about this situation.” You nodded and walked out his office.

Hours later you were called into his office. You walked up to the door and knocked. "Come in! " you heard his voice faintly say, walking in after those words and sitting down in the chair in front of his desk. "You remember why I called you here, correct? ” you nodded your head “yes sir, i do.” He sighed “Well just in case, let me tell you again. Earlier you had the nerve to walk into my office while i was on a phone call and proceeded to say that you couldn't best because of how thick these walls and doors are. Do you know how serious that could be if they heard you?” he was never this serious before so this frightened you a little. “I’m sorry sir. It won’t happen again, I swear. '' You said, your voice was shaky as you fidgeted with your hands to relieve your fear.

He glanced at your hands and sighed, seeing the obvious sign of nervousness and fear obviously he was gonna try and calm you down. He wouldn't want any of his employees scared of him now would he? “Y/N i’m dearly sorry, i don’t mean to seem like i’m going to fire you. I won't.. just.. I’m a little stressed out, okay? But I don't want you to be scared, I don't want you to be afraid of me.” He said to you as he looked at his computer to check if he received any new emails, of course not. You started to tear up, hearing him speak to you so calmly was calming you down, I mean after all you did like him so it wasn't that hard to get calmed down by him. He caught your eye when you first started working there, his voice, every time he came to work with his hair wet because of the rain and ran his fingers through his hair to get it out of his face. Everything he did made you like him more,there wasn’t a time where you didn’t want him a bit. All that he did was so perfect to you.

“Here,I'll give you this.” Kaeya said with a smile while he went to his desk and grabbed a small cat plush that was obviously hand knitted. It was a nice color of black with white around its eyes. He handed it to you as you smiled, you obviously questioned if he did it himself. Looking at it closely, your lips curled into a smile. Seeing the poorly stitched cat face with all hints of fluff sneaking out. It was adorable and it brought you comfort, “thank you, sir,” “Kaeya, call me kaeya honey.” He told you. Of course you were taken back by the random nickname your own boss has given you. Did he see you as more than just an assistant? I mean it also can't surprise you that much, he was known for being flirty. Questions roamed your head and it seemed as if you were nervous, your eyes wandering the room as more questions kept coming in and it started hurting your head. You sat back in the comfy chair and slowly started to fall asleep, kaeya laughed at your state and let you sleep.

The next day you woke up in a house that wasn’t yours and you assumed it was your boss’s house, remembering the last place you were, which was his office. “Good morning comrade” a mysterious voice said, but that nickname.. ‘that voice doesn’t sound like my boss..’ you thought. But if that wasn’t your boss, who was this? It didn't click but that nickname was so familiar. “Oh I'm sorry, were you expecting your sweet, charming, caring boss? Shall I remind you who I am?” The voice said, you were more concerned of where the voice was coming from.

Too tired to get up and look around, you lay there pathetically. The man hummed, opening the door to the bedroom you were in and looking at your figure. You had been changed into comfortable pj’s, no wonder you slept for hours. The man had beautiful ginger hair and ocean blue eyes, he was quite tall and lanky. Which you thought looked stupid, but then you realized who it was and you're face immediately became red, holy shit. “Hello there comrade, recognize me now?” it was your boss’s enemy, Childe. You didn’t really despise him like your boss did but you also still didn’t like him for how weird and cocky he was.

Cringing at his remarks, you always wondered how you got tied up in situations like this. To be the one to go to companies and convince them to do a meeting with your own boss. Not wanting to see him, you would rather kill yourself then be in the same room as him. “Come on, why don’t we catch up? Its been soooo longgg…” The ginger whined, which was true. It had been a year since you last spoke to him. Since you last saw him and he’s been obsessed with you ever since. Last time you saw him you were, of course, convincing him to do a meeting when he said “I’ll accept it, if you let me do whatever i want with you. Just for today” Declining for obvious reasons, knowing what it’d lead to. Trying to convince him there were other ways to deal with it but he wouldn’t listen, so you had given up and called your boss to pick you up. Telling him that you couldn’t convince the man to do a meeting and gave up from a remark he made.

Back to the present, remembering it made you turn around on the bed so your back was facing him. Swinging your hand at him, a sign for him to go away and leave you alone. But like the stupid man he is he doesn’t obey and just sits at the edge of the bed next to you, you tried to nudge him away but he doesn’t budge. Laughing at your actions and finally stopping after a good moment. God how did you even end up here, why were you here? Did he come to get what he wanted after a whole year of not seeing each other? It wasn’t fully clear but it was obvious he wanted something from you. You hated yourself so much for even giving inside, but you couldn’t break character. You heard another set of footsteps approach the bedroom, who the hell could it be now? You didn’t have time to say anything about it before you saw a man with red hair and glasses.

“Childe, what are you doing with her.” the red haired man asked. “Just having a talk with her diluc, what's so wrong about that?” childe pouted. So his name was diluc? It sounded familiar but you couldn’t think right now with two men now in your presence. You just wanted to fall back asleep and hope you’d be back in your boss’s presence, you groaned at the sight of them and the two men looked at you. “Oh now you wanna talk, i see.. Just because another man is here? ” the ginger joked “Shut the hell up childe. She just groaned. You’re so quick to assume stuff.” the red head mentioned, you turned red and you hid yourself under the blanket. God what were you thinking? You were in a room with two people you liked and you were supposed to hate them, “Oh? Hiding now are we?” Ajax asked, it was more of a statement but to you it seemed like a question. “Ajax can you ever shut your mouth? They're probably embarrassed or scared.” diluc said, He was right, you were both embarrassed and scared.

You didn’t wanna be there, you would rather be in your house in comfortable clothing. You could feel the bed sink beside you, only to feel arms wrapped around you from your chest and your waist. Diluc was in front of you, holding your waist while ajax was wrapping his arms around your chest, laughing behind you. You melted into their arms, feeling warmth. You almost forgot about the fact that they were two people that ran the same company. You soon fell asleep, them following.

The next day you woke up to the sky being bright and the two men still asleep, you just layed there not wanting to disturb them. You actually enjoyed them cuddling you and holding you as if they were to keep you protected at all times. You could hear Ajax softly snoring while Diluc was sleep talking, you were already awake yet still tired so you took the chance to just embrace the moment and go back to sleep.

Here they are all ! Im gonna get into who they are individually just for fun. 

The eldest is Elinor, or Elie. She’s named after Sandor’s sister, and she’s her father’s daughter : same long jet black hair, same narrow grey eyes, same nose. She’s very tall and very muscular just like him (couldn’t translate that well with the maker), and has his cynical wit. Being the eldest, and given her parents respective trauma, she feels strongly responsible for all of her siblings and takes a lot upon her shoulders. She wears the Clegane colors with pride and will get viciously violent for her family without hesitation. She has a complicated relationship with her mother because of that violence, mostly because Sansa fears for her and is a bit jealous of how close Elinor and her aunt Arya are. Arya gifted her a direwolf pup that she named Steel. Elinor is a fighter, and will eventually get married to Aemon Steelsong, Mance Ryder’s son.

Three years younger than her, her brother Eddord is the heir to Winterfell. He has the stature of his father, along his long black hair, but the eys of his mother, large and Tully blue. He does not enjoy fighting as much as some of his siblings, but his height and strengh makes him naturally good at it. He’s very charming, funny and kind. He has a way with people that he takes after his mother, with whom he’s very close. The North is his home and he takes great pride in taking care of its people. He’s adored by many, including his youngest siblings who admire him a great deal. He’s also quite close to Elinor, with whom he enjoys hunting, and he helps her communicate with Sansa. He wears the grey and the white of the Starks, the side of the family he feels the most connected to. Arya gave him one of Nymeria’s pup, that he named North.

Next comes Aryon, one year younger than Eddord. Of all Sansan children, he’s the one that has the most Northern look : long face, almond grey eyes, dark brown hair that he wears long and braided. Aryon has a quiet temperament : he’s not shy, but rather observe than recklessy act. After Elinor, he is the best fighter of the siblings, and the best rider of them all : he’s more deadly riding his horse than anyone, and is fascinated by the Dothraki culture from which he wishes to learn. Because of his connexion to horses, he doesn’t spend as much times as his siblings with his wolf, Coldtooth, that he let roam freely. Discreet and reliable, he gets along best with his brother Eddord, and Sansa often compares them to the sun and the moon. He admires his older sister Elinor a lot and helps her take care of their younger siblings. 

Two years Aryon’s junior comes Jonquil, Sansan second daughter. She is renommed for her beauty, rummored to rival her mother’s. She has long luxurious black hair and bright blue eyes, with a lovely face that blushes easily. She looks very kind and perhaps light-headed, but is in reality quite stubborn and pushy. Arya says she’s the spitting image of Sansa before King’s Landing. Jonquil is very clever and loves to take care of her appearance : she mostly wears her grandmother’s Tully colors, with lots of dark blue and dark red, flowy fabrics and silvers jewels. She has her father sharp tongue and isn’t afraid to use it, even to be mean. She used to be very close to Elinor, but didn’t understood why Elinor would get into arguments with their mother. Just like her parents, she’s a romantic at her core and is enchanted by love songs. 

Finally, four years younger than Jonquil, and ten years younger than Elinor, comes the twins : Bael and Catya. They are the spitting image of Sansa, with bright red hair and large tully blue eyes. Bael is the eldest of the two, and just like the King he was named after, enjoys writing and singing songs. He is very close to his father and to his uncle Rickon, whose first child was born the same day. Bael is a dreamer, a poet. He is kind and very funny, very imaginative. He his the most curious of the sibilings about his parents story, and will write several songs at a young age about his late uncle Robb battles, fascinated by him. Bael is very very protective of his twin sister Catya.

Catya is the sweetest, most soft-spoken child Sansa and Sandor would have, and also, the last. Juste like her brother, she has long red hair and bright blue eyes. She’s a very delicate and very fragile child, and never spoke a word : she was born mute. Sandor, Sansa and their other children invented a sign language to help her communicate. Quite soon, it became obvious she was blessed with the green sight, and had to learn how to navigate her gift with the help of her uncle Bran, with whom she grew very close to. She adores all of her siblings, and is as protective of them in her own manner, as they are of her. She dresses in a lot of white and red, just like the Godswood she spends so much of her time in.

idk how to explain why I used a mermaid avatar maker to illustrate my OCs but it's Mermay and Inkscribble’s work is undefeated, I absolutely adore it.

it started with me and my mother sneaking into some school-like facility because i forgot something there but we typically werent allowed to come into the building outside of school hours and i guess my mom didnt want me to go alone. once we got inside though it stopped being a school and started being some kind of weird sci fi place. definitely a prey inspired dream. i was separated from my mom and after a while she stopped being part of it. i was being hunted through the facility and trying to escape without being caught. the dream seemed like it was kind of leading up to me being a typhon with me having this recurring vision of some scribbled thing in the mirror lunging at me whenever i saw my reflection. and at one point i got so afraid (in the dream) that i tried to think of something to cheer me up so i thought of darkrai my friend darkrai. and something about that gave me the ability to turn transparent…? not only was i invisible but i could walk through walls. the world “clear” kept running through my mind and i had to hold onto that thought to keep doing it. it was actually really incredible. whenever i walked through something it was like pushing through jelly. there was a moment of resistance and then a slow slide, and the colors of everything kind of turned into pink rainbow static like a broken tv screen, and then returned once i was through. i made my way deeper into the facility while trying to get away from security and found a very dark room. the rest of the dream had been mostly blue-tinted grey and white in the bright building, but the room was nearly black and there was no light except through a slatted window glinting off a big tv. inside the tv i saw the scribbled vision again, but i wasnt scared. i walked up to it and reached out my hand, and when the scribbled thing touched the tv as it lunged for me, it touched my hand and changed. the colors of the room changed instantly to bright pinks and whites and yellows and i saw myself. that was the part that surprised me. i was some kind of smooth, pink dog man. a bit like bubblegum, i looked like a stop motion creature of some kind. the vision looked more like a dog and i looked more like a man, but i still had a snout and dog paws instead of hands. we laughed and hugged because i wasnt afraid of him anymore, and then i went home. somehow during that shift my mom came back to the dream but she hadnt actually been my mom in the first place and i had never been myself. i had always been the transparent dog man and i had been captured while exploring with someone else, he looked kind of like a nice old clown. he escaped while i was captured, but i returned to a cute little house in a meadow he was waiting for me in. and then i woke up

the pokemon featured because at one point there was this rushing river going through a hallway separating me from my mom, and i was holding an umbreon plush i had found while looking around, and i thought to myself “umbreon could ice beam the water and save her. absol could ford the water and save her. darkrai could… darkrai could…” and that was when i stopped being human and started being something else. and my mother stopped being real

there was also a part where my necklace cracked and a part where i think i either stole something from the woman chasing me or was given something by her? it was unclear if she actually caught me and i escaped or what. but she had a glove that i ended up taking. it wasnt really relevant but it was a detail i remember. i took the glove, the plush, a bundle of cords and something else that’s escaping me. and then one of the other people in the facility burst a water pipe to flood a hallway and i stopped carrying them like a minute later. he had been next to me when he did it so now that im thinking about it he must have known what i was and known it would somehow remind me

as soon as i woke up i tried to draw what i looked like. i think i must have been thinking a bit about putty pygmalion but ive never actually been able to read it so im not sure where this came from
