Zosan first kiss?
Right after they met in Sabaody.
I just know these guys were craving each other desperately when they were apart. At first they thought it was because they wanted to fight and pick on each other, but then they realized there was something else.
And Sanji felt it the moment he saw Zoro emerging on that ship he cutted, a lot bigger and stronger than he ever was. Sanji had to light a cigarette so his thoughts remain control. There was no doubt of his feelings at that point.
Zoro's full body trembled when he heard Sanji's voice for the first time in two years, the scent of Tabacco helped him realize it was not his imagination anymore, the idiot cook was really there, his body not as thin as he remembered, his legs seemed to be toner, only his brows remained the same.
Zoro swallowed thick as he got closer to the blonde one, his whole body felt hot and weak for some reason. The swordsman, after a long talk with Perona, realized that he might not despise Sanji as much as he thought, maybe not at all.
-you are such a headache, you know? - Sanji said as soon as they were together - always wasting time, I knew I had to look for you so you don't mess up my reunion with my beautiful ladies - Sanji smoked his cigarette, slowly - Nami-san would be really mad if you delay us - Zoro grin a little, looking to the cook's eyes, they seem bluer than ever
Sanji felt the air got stuck on his throat. Out of all the ideas he had made on his head about Zoro physical appearance after two years, the missing eye was definitely not on his list, let alone think it looked kind of good on him
-is it for Nami or were you so desperate to see me that you had to come find me?- Zoro said staring at the blonde one - there's no need to hide it, ero-cook - the swordsman started walking to the opposite direction of where they were suppose to go.
-you are even dumber than I remembered - Sanji throw his cigarette at the floor, stepping on it and started walking behind the swordsman who decided to take a turn to his left - fucking unbelievable - the cook had no other remedy than to take the same direction, but at the moment he got there, Zoro was nowhere to be found - you are always such a pain in the ass - Sanji started to complain while he walked through the empty street - always getting lost, always causing trouble, always so, so, so... - Sanji couldn't find another adjective to describe the swordsman when the felt a hand in the back of his neck, making him turn around.
- so what? - Zoro asked as he cornered Sanji against the wall, his other hand pressed against the wall near to Sanji´s head. He started to feel dizzy when his whole body was in touch with the blonde's - just spit it out, Sanji - the blonde had to swallow thick, hearing Zoro saying his name with him this close was definitely making his body weak - am I so what? - Zoro locked his eye on Sanji's, waiting for an answer.
- so stupid, you are always so stupid - Sanji said trying to play tough as he wasn't loosing his mind at that moment. Zoro smiled a little.
- you are driving me crazy - the green haired released his grip on Sanji's hair, moving backwards - you have no idea - Sanji hand grabbed his wrist, preventing him from moving further away.
- why? What's on your mind?- Sanji asked, getting closer again -want to get rid of me? you want to cut me in pieces? - Zoro had to breath slow to control himself, Sanji's soft tone was making his blood heat - want to kill me? - the cook whispered when their breaths were combining again
At this point they were just tempting each other, trying to find out who will give in first, but both are dying for the other, craving it like crazy.
- I wish that was the first thing in my mind, curly, I really do - Zoro clenched his jaw trying to remain focus on anything else other than Sanji´s face this close to his, provoking some dangerous thoughts on his mind.
- is it not? - the cook asked faking confusion - then what is it that you want? Mosshead - Zoro's fist tightened, he was trying to remain calm - is just you and me, no one will see you - Sanji got silent for a second, his craving for it as much as the mosshead is - oh, for fuck sake Zoro, just do it! - in Sanji's head that was an order, but to Zoro's ears that was the cook begging for it.
But the swordsman couldn't take it anymore, his hand was back in Sanji's hair, pulling back to make the cook get against the wall again, kissing him without waiting anymore. Theirs lips frenetically moving against each other, their breaths heavy and agitated. They have been waiting for this for two years, they don't have time for sweetness and delicate touches, they have a desire to satisfy and they need to do it now
Zoro pushed Sanji's head closer as he hand in the wall wrapped around Sanji's waist, he wanted to feel every inch of the cooks body. The cook´s hands were travelling around Zoro's bare chest, trying to save in his brain the sensation under his fingers as the swordsman kisses him with such a fervour.
They stopped kissing after their chests were out of breath, blushing a little after what just happened between them.
- you see how right I was about you being desperate to see me? - Zoro said while raising and eyebrow, moving his hand from Sanji´s hair to his waist, forbidding him from move.
- shut the hell up - the cook frown - you were the one who kissed me first, stupid mosshead - Sanji´s hands slowly moved from Zoro chest to his shoulders
-you were begging for it - Zoro sight moved to the cook´s lips, feeling the urge to kiss him again. Sanji wanted to respond, he really did, but that look on Zoro´s face while looking at him, made his brain struggle to process information.
They looked at each other, silently. They needed to feel that they were real, that it was not longer their imagination. When Sanji's arms were around Zoro neck, the swordsman couldn't help it but to kiss the cook again, this time slower, taking his time to enjoy every sensation. The softness of the cook's lips, the way both mouths danced in synchronization, how their bodies fitted together.
- fuck, you really drive me crazy, ero-cook - Zoro said as their kiss broke, joining their foreheads.
- is because you are really stupid, mosshead - they both laugh a little, trying to decide if they should go or if they wanted to stay s little longer in that dark street Zoro found for them
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~•••~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hear me out!
Sanji definitely learned how to flirt with men in Kamabakka Kingdom and Perona 100% taught Zoro how to behave with the people he liked
But they are still Zoro and Sanji, they need to send the other to eat shit before they eat each other's mouth. That's why I think it happened like that
hey, congrats on 100 followers! i love the way you write zoro and sanji and the final chapter of "picture you" has me craving some zoro x reader x sanji smut. could we maybe get a taste of that, please? 🙏
I've been thinking about writing a threesome for Sanji and Zoro since I finished Picture You, but I was nervous to try it, so thank you for giving me an excuse to push myself out of my comfort zone a bit 😊 I hope you enjoy it!
Two for One
Pairing: Zoro x Reader x Sanji
NSFW
Summary: Sanji and Zoro have been fighting even worse than usual lately for reasons beyond your comprehension, and everyone else is growing sick of it. Once you finally figure out why, you decide you three are all going to solve this together. Warnings: Smut, Clueless Reader, Canon Typical Zosan Fighting, Praise Kink (if you squint) Word Count: 3.2k
“Shut the hell up, mosshead!”
“Only if you get out of my goddamn face, you damn cook!”
Your crewmates were moments away from tearing each other’s throats out. They always were, of course, but the tension had grown so thick lately it was almost hard to breathe in the same room as them. You have no idea what caused them to turn into rabid dogs, constantly barking in your ears, but it was absolutely unbearable.
“Will you two stop?” Nami smacks them both softly upside the head, glaring harshly. “Don’t make this our problem. Look around, you two. Look at what you’re doing.” There’s something behind her words you can’t quite make out, and both of their gazes turn specifically to you, taking in your tense shoulders and the way you’ve begun to hunch in on yourself a bit. The tension eases slightly as they both slump a little with shame, before Sanji quickly grabs your hands.
“I’m so sorry, my dear. I never meant to make you uncomfortable. The brute and I will stop now. “
“Brute?” Zoro snaps. “You little–” He looks at your face before stopping, letting out a huff, and storming out.
Sanji reluctantly lets go of your hands when a timer goes off in the distance. “Well, duty calls, angel.” He skitters off into the kitchen.
The rest of the crew lets out a relieved sigh. Brook places a skeletal hand on your shoulder. “Good luck with that.”
“What?”
Robin and Franky chuckle, like this is a joke you aren’t in on, and Nami sighs. “You really don’t know?”
“Know what exactly?”
“Oh my god.” She sighs, resting her head in her hands. Everyone else laughs again, slowly filing out and patting her on the back, silently designating her with the task of explaining.
“What is it? What don’t I know?”
“The reason they’ve been fighting. You haven’t noticed a pattern at all?”
You think back to all of the most recent arguments you’ve witnessed, and you can’t think of a single thing that connects them. One about who was more handsome, one over who was stronger, and, strangely, one over who was better at fishing, which is something you didn’t think either of them were particularly invested in. “They’re the same stupid fights they’ve always been, just worse.”
“Not…exactly. Think harder. Have you walked in on any fights recently? Or have they always started when you’re there?”
You’ve been unfortunate enough to witness the rising tension firsthand every time recently. “I’ve been there for all of them. It’s sucked.”
“So you’ve been there for every single one.”
“Well I don’t know if they’ve fought when I’m not around. I’m not there.”
She sighs deeply. “I–okay. That’s fair actually. If I told you they barely ever fought when you weren’t around, would that help at all?”
You narrow your eyes, puffing out your cheeks slightly in thought. “It’s…my fault.”
“Yes?”
“They’re…mad at me.”
“Wait–”
“They hate me.”
“No! Oh my god. They’re fighting over you. Because they’re in love with you.”
Your eyes widen, jaw going slack against your will. “What?”
“You really never noticed? Why do you think Sanji insists on dragging you to the kitchen and slowly rolling up his sleeves directly in front of you, and constantly unbuttoning his top button? Or why Zoro insists on training in front of you, or doing push ups with you on his back?”
You pout. “They’re my friends and they wanna spend time with me?”
Nami hesitates at that. “Okay, um. Yes. That too. But they only do it with you. Sanji hates letting other people into the kitchen that much. And Zoro hates being bothered when he’s training. They’re trying to show off. They want to show off how strong and cool they are, because they want you to fall at their feet and beg to have sex with them.” She sees your eyes dim a bit at that, so she quickly corrects. “They want you to like them, is the point. I mean they definitely also want the sex, but really they just want you, and the idea of the other one getting you first pisses them off.”
You blink. “Oh.” You shift, eyes narrowing in thought. “So…they want to have sex with me.”
“Yeah. A lot.”
You think for a moment, wondering how you could possibly choose between the two of them. Your dear friends, your dear, wonderful, handsome, sexy friends. “What do I do now?”
“You pick one, I guess.” Nami sees the frown on your face, and you can see the realization sink in. “Or…you don’t?”
“Do you think they’d be okay with that?”
“For anyone else? No, probably not. I think their pride would get in the way. But for you?” She smirks. “I think they’d do anything you wanted, and they wouldn’t even have to think for a single second about it.”
“I wouldn’t want to push them into anything they’re uncomfortable with.”
“You think they of all people could be pushed into anything they’re uncomfortable with?” She laughs. “I promise you, they wouldn’t. Just go ask. I think you’ll be happy with their response. And the rest of us won’t have to listen to their stupid dick measuring contests anymore.”
You leave the kitchen, steps lighter and filled with determination. Your extremely hot and wonderful friends want you, and you want them. You have great things ahead of you.
Zoro is up in the crow’s nest training, shirtless and sweating, which seems to be his default state. He sees you out of the corner of his eyes, and his next slash is particularly strong and dramatic. He even looks back to see how you react. How did you not notice the way his eyes lingered on you before?
“Hey Zoro?”
“Yeah?”
“Can you meet me in my room in about an hour? I need to talk to you.”
His eyes absolutely light up, even if his face remains neutral. “Hm? Yeah, sure, I can do that.” When he thinks you aren’t looking, he has the smuggest smirk you’ve ever seen on his face. He thinks he’s won. And he has, in a way.
You wander to find Sanji in the kitchen next. “Sanji?”
“Yes, my love?” He gives you an affectionate smile before returning his attention back to the onions he’s chopping.
“Can you meet me in my room in an hour? I have something important to talk to you about.”
He doesn’t try to hide the way he lights up, giving you a heartstopping smile. “Of course, angel! I won’t keep you waiting!” He starts humming a love song as you leave, affection written clearly on his face.
And then you wait. A few times you wonder if this is a bad idea, if it will make them hate you, but you reassure yourself that Nami would have told you if it would fail. She wouldn’t let you walk into a trap like that. You bounce your leg anxiously as you wait for your friends to arrive.
Sanji is first, of course. He shows up exactly an hour from when you talked, down to the second, an offering of your favorite drink in hand. “Hello, darling. I brought something for you!” His smile is so excited you almost feel bad for not letting him know the rest.
“Thank you, Sanji. That’s so sweet.” You take it gladly, taking a grateful sip and letting the flavor wash over you.
“So what did you want to talk about?” He’s leaning closer, longing clear on his face, but you hold strong instead of kissing him senseless like you want to.
“I can’t start until we’re all here.”
“We? All?”
Zoro opens the door nearly immediately after, joy clear on his face before it sours at the sight of Sanji. “What the hell is he doing here?”
“Darling, why is this bastard interrupting?” Sanji is glaring at him, putting himself between you two as though he’s protecting you.
You set your drink down on a table before regarding both of them. “I need to talk to both of you. …If you’re okay with that.”
They regard each other a moment before humming in affirmation, looking at you expectantly.
“So I found out recently that you guys are…fond of me.”
They nod.
“And I’m fond of both of you.”
Another nod.
“And I thought that…maybe…we could all share in that fondness. Together. At the same time.”
“You want a threesome?” Zoro is straight to the point.
“Well, more than one, ideally.” He laughs, while Sanji sits in silence, brow furrowed in thought. You continue, unable to stop yourself in your anxiety. “I like you guys a lot, and I was hoping you’d be okay with this, but I understand if you aren’t–”
“I’m okay with it.” Sanji speaks up with a firmness you didn’t expect. You expected an argument, maybe reluctant agreement, but he seems to have no reservations. “Whatever you want, I’ll do. Simple as that.”
“I don’t want this if you don’t, though.”
“I do want this.” His cheeks turn a little pink. “The thought is…not terrible.”
“I’m also down.” Zoro immediately starts approaching. “So we should start now, right? Break this whole thing in?”
You freeze for a moment, a deer in headlights. You really expected at least a little arguing. “So you guys are really okay with it?”
“Yeah.”
“Absolutely.”
“Shit. Um, okay. I wasn’t ready for this to go well. Uh, let’s start then. I guess.”
“Yes ma’am!” Sanji is on you before you can even process he’s moved, hands hooking under your thighs and pulling you against him. He kisses you hard, but before you can sink in and enjoy, he’s flipped you around to face Zoro. “Let’s christen this voyage, huh?”
Zoro scoffs. “That was so cheesy.” Even with his annoyed grumble, he seems pretty thrilled. He captures your mouth with his own, rough and demanding. His lips are chapped, and he quickly slides his tongue across your lips, demanding they open. You do so gladly, allowing his entrance, and you’re quickly overwhelmed by the sensation of Zoro taking what he wants from you as Sanji grinds against you, hands wandering and squeezing everything they find. He gropes your breasts, your thighs, before eventually landing on your clothed cunt, making you gasp into Zoro’s mouth.
“God, darling, you feel just as wonderful as I imagined.” Sanji’s voice is dripping with affection and lust as he squeezes you again. “So soft, so perfect. Absolutely made for us.”
Zoro parts from you just to comment. “You really are,” he mutters, squeezing your tits. “Absolutely perfect. Can’t wait to ruin you.”
Sanji makes a soft tsk. “Not ruin. You could never ruin such perfection.”
“Watch me.”
Zoro quickly sheds you of your top and bra, leaving your tits on display for the two of them. They both pause in their movements a moment, just quietly admiring your body, before their hands fight over who gets to feel you first. Sanji ends up with your right breast and Zoro ends up with your left as they both squeeze and prod however they want. When Zoro gives a particularly hard squeeze to your nipple you can’t help but whine, rolling your head forward into his shoulder. This makes you miss the shit-eating grin he gives Sanji, but the other man notices it immediately. In response, he shoves his hands down your pants, rougher than he would normally be, quickly finding your clit to rub.
“Oh god,” you cry, muffled by the fabric of Zoro’s shirt.
“Hear that, mosshead? That was all me.”
“Oh yeah?” Zoro’s voice is cocky as he rolls your breast in his fingers again, making you moan. “I’d say that was me.”
“You two are insufferable,” you murmur.
“You think?” They chorus, and you realize that there’s always one thing they can agree on: a common enemy. Quickly their hands start to work in unison instead of opposition, Zoro always squeezing whenever Sanji takes a break and vice versa. They don’t allow you a single moment of peace, always pushing you closer and closer to the brink, closer and closer to losing yourself, before they pull back, not quite ready to give you your pleasure quite yet.
You don’t remember losing your pants. You were too focused on the feeling of Sanji’s bare erection pressed against your ass, the feeling of his warmth against your back, the sight of Zoro’s scarred chest and perfect cock right before your face. Sanji pushes you down so you’re eye level with it as he lines himself up with your entrance.
“Get ready, sweetheart. We’re not going to go easy on you.”
“Don’t listen to him, angel. We’d never be rougher than you can take.” You can’t help but notice the implication that there is a level of roughness you can take, but you don’t voice the thought, left silent by the heat of their bodies and the tension in the room. You’re practically drooling at this point for somebody, anybody to fill one of your waiting holes.
“Please,” you mutter, unsure exactly what you’re asking for, or from who you want it. You just want them, all of them, and they’re more than happy to provide.
“Of course, sweetheart. Just relax. We’ll take care of you.” Zoro’s voice is gentler than you’d expect when brushes his tip against your mouth. His hand tangles itself in your hair, ready to guide you forward, but he’s careful not to pull too hard.
“We’re here for you, always.” Sanji’s voice is gentle as well, but his hands on your thighs are rougher than you’d expect. You had always imagined him a tender lover, treating you as though you’re made of glass, but it seems the spirit of competition has made his hold a little tighter. You’re excited to see if it makes any other parts of him rougher as well.
They thrust in at the same time. Zoro fills your throat slowly but steadily, and Sanji fills your hole in a single thrust, pushing you forward into Zoro. You moan around him, and he shivers at the feeling of the vibrations. He pets your head affectionately, muttering quietly, “That’s it, sunshine. Just like that.”
“Oh god angel, you’re even more perfect than I imagined.” Sanji relishes in the feeling of bottoming out in you, in your warmth and wetness. He allows his eyes to close for a moment, head thrown back with pleasure, before he allows his hands to settle on your hips and prepares himself for the job ahead.
They make eye contact, sharing a single nod before they begin to move without mercy.
You expect Zoro to demolish your throat without hesitation, but his movements are slow and precise. You expect Sanji to take his time enjoying you, but his thrusts are quick and deep, relishing in the feeling of you. You wonder if having them together has evened them out, bringing them to a center between Zoro’s harshness and Sanji’s carefulness that allows them both to lose themselves a bit, treating you less like a toy or glass and more like another person who’s simply thrilled to participate.
As you move, Sanji squeezes your hips just firm enough to keep you still without risking bruising your skin. He leans down, pressing warm kisses to your back, muttering praising words, yes and more and just like that, angel against your skin. Zoro is also whispering to you, as one hand rests in your hair and the other rests on the back of your neck possessively. His words are less obviously worshiping but no less affectionate, even as he whispers more and yes, good girl and fuck to nobody in particular. You close your eyes, soaking in the words of the men against you, absorbing their warmth and affection and need. You don’t think you’ve ever heard their voices turn more desperate or wanting than they are right now.
Sanji gives one particularly hard thrust, pushing you further up Zoro’s cock until your nose is resting in his pubic hair, and they both give a deep moan in unison.
“Yes!”
“God, there you go!”
You honestly couldn’t tell who said what at this point, too lost in the sensation of it all.
As their thrusts grow rougher and more sloppy, Zoro’s hand starts to grip your hair tighter, pulling in a way that makes you keen. Sanji slides one of his hands from your hip to your clit, rubbing small precise circles around the bud. You thrust your hips slightly when he does, and you can hear him chuckle. “Almost there, darling. Just a little more.”
Zoro cums first, thrusting deep into your throat and holding you there as he cums in your mouth, inadvertently forcing you to swallow it all. He gives a few small thrusts into your mouth, fully emptying himself, before he pulls out. You manage to ground yourself for long enough to look him in the eye and open your mouth wide, sticking out your tongue, showing him not a single drop was wasted. He groans, lust clear on his face.
You expect Sanji to be second as his thrusts grow more erratic, but then you hear his soft whispers. “So close, angel. Just a little more. Together now.” His finger on your clit is relentless, calluses rubbing you in all the right ways. It’s only once you let out a high pitched moan, tightening around him, that he allows himself to release into you, painting your insides white. You clench around him, and he leans forward, biting gently into your shoulder, just enough to ground himself. He continues thrusting into you and giving attention to your clit until he’s sure you’re finished, before he finally pulls out, cum leaking from your cunt onto the wooden floor.
You’re about ready to collapse, but before you can, a pair of strong arms wraps around you, guiding you to your bed. “You did great,” Zoro murmurs softly, resting your head against your pillows. Sanji disappears for a moment before reappearing with a damp washcloth, which he uses to lovingly clean you up and erase any trace of the act other than the bite mark on your shoulder and cum inside of you.
“Did you like that?” You murmur sleepily. You know they did, felt it firsthand, but you still feel the need to confirm.
“More than you could ever know,” Sanji whispers tenderly. He then grows a vicious smirk. “And it felt wonderful to be the first one to make you cum, darling. I’d do it again in a heartbeat, with or without current company.”
Zoro scoffs. “You may have made her cum first but I’ll make her cum faster next time, just you watch.”
“In your dreams, mosshead. Though I guess you do know something about cumming fast.”
“Watch yourself, cook.”
You laugh as you realize this didn’t solve any of the arguments your crew thought it would. That’s alright, though. You didn’t mind. They could fight over you any day.
Another zosan post bc they invade my thoughts every waking moment !! also i'm typing on mobile so this might be weirdly formatted
anyways, hc that Sanji is the MOST TOUCHY DRUNK to ever exist and he's all over all of his crewmates all the time. in addition to this, Sanji is also a fucking horrible lightweight. like.... tipsy after two beers lightweight. Sanji also YAPS to whoever's nearest to him about everything and anything that comes to his mind. Zoro is his main victim all of the time and does not appreciate it (yes he does, hes so gay) and its so funny to the rest of the crew b/c he has to peel a rambling sanji off of him while blushing so much he looks like a really tan tomato.
Nami + Usopp appear briefly here b/c i love their friendship so much heart emoji!!! <3333
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ugh, marimo, get off of me."
Zoro sighs from his position pressed against the edge of a bench, having what is arguably the worst time ever in the corner of some random bar he's been dragged to by the rest of the crew.
"I'm not on you, cook. move your goddamn leg."
"No, you move your leg."
Zoro tries in vain to shuffle away from the lanky limb draped across his lap, narrowly avoiding spilling his beer all across said limb.
The blonde always got touchy when he was drunk, plastering his entire body on the nearest person and talking their ear off for the remainder of the night.
Somehow, it was always Zoro who ended up with a tipsy Sanji draped over him, his breath smelling strongly of cheap liquor as he rambled about god knows what.
Zoro sighs again, resigning himself to his fate as the blond proceeds to hook his heel around one of Zoro's legs and pull himself forward so that he's pressed up against the other man's side. Zoro feels Sanji's elbow poking his arm. He tells himself it's very unpleasant.
"Yknow, you're coming with me to get... uh... groceries tomorrow. Yeah. We need bread."
"You've told me that three times tonight."
"Well, I'm telling you again, you algae head." Sanji lolls his head back to look at the ceiling, using the hand not trapped between them to loosely gesture at the man next to him.
"Nice one," Zoro deadpans.
"Oh, fuck you," Sanji replies, and then rests his head on Zoro's shoulder. "you want hamburgers for lunch tomorrow?" he asks over the loud murmur of the bar.
Zoro, however, does not reply. Instead, he stares straight ahead and tries to focus on the fact that Sanji's chin is digging uncomfortably into his shoulder rather than how his face is inches away.
Sanji doesn't seem to notice, his breath fanning along Zoro's cheek as he prattles on about brioche buns.
Zoro is trying very hard to stay still, internally processing the warmth of the cook's flushed face against his own and sending a silent prayer to whatever deity is out there this will be over soon. He also pointedly does not look at Nami and Usopp snickering over their wine glasses in the corner either.
He's snapped out of his impromptu staring contest with a stain on the wall when he feels Sanji slump almost completely off of the chair, and then suffers a mini heart attack when the blond kicks his legs up on the other side of the bench and straight up puts his head in Zoro's lap.
Zoro stares down at him in surprise and Sanji stares back, both eyes visible with his bangs swept out of his face. They're half-lidded and his face is tinted red from the liquor. Neither of them says anything, for a moment. Sanji's gaze sweeps across Zoro's face, looking for something. He pauses, and Zoro has to clamp his mouth shut because every time he sees Sanji like this he suddenly gains the inexplicable urge to say I've been in love with you for three years, please make out with me, which would be very bad.
The cook's eyebrows furrow, and he parts his pretty, pink lips before mumbling softly;
"...Did you get a haircut?"
Zoro throws his head back and groans. "That's it, we're going back to the ship."
He can hear Nami and Usopp's shrieking laughter clearly, even over Sanji's slurred protests as Zoro chugs the rest of his beer, hoists the fucking idiot up on his back, and marches out of the bar.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoro did, in fact, get a haircut. Sanji should know b/c hes the one who did it lmao. Also, it takes Zoro an hour to walk the 15 minutes back to the ship, and Sanji talks about bread the entire time.
Am i making Zoro whipped for Sanji because i am whipped for Sanji? Interesting question, indeed. Will i ever stop? No.
Ty to my loyal 5 followers i gained yesterday!!! shoutout to yall.
Also i would REALLY appreciate comments about how i can improve my writing style so if you have any feedback please comment !!!!!
okay bye :p
Hello there :)
I'm new here but I love your stuff, it's all so sweet 😫❤️
So hear me out, I got an idea for Zosan x fem!reader, where Reader is a little Tinkerer and loves to invent things or just make cute thingamajigs. And she loves to make small things for Zoro and Sanji and even though they always get red and fidgety when she give them her little presents, they always cherish them and keep them neatly in their room🥺
Welcome and i hope you enjoy this, i find this idea so cute.
Zoro X Sanji X Reader, poly relationship, established relationship
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ When you first joined the crew you were kinda scared to show off your inventions, mainly because you wanted to impress them and anything less than perfect was not good enough for you, but with time and some entrancement from Usopp and Sanji you started to show your stuff before it was finished.
^ Your always observing how the crew works and planning how to make their life easier by making stuff for them, so you always have a project going on. You used to hide away in Usopp's area of the ship but now find it more enjoyable by being around the crew, your main favorite places are the kitchen and the training room.
^ Depending on if you want to talk or not you'll choose one or the other to tinker with your project in, Sanji is always happy to have you around and willing to talk with you about anything. He's really into what your doing and fawns over your thoughtfulness and skill, he was doing this even before you started dating him. In the training room there's no talking just the sound of Zoro working out, he appreciated you being quiet but if he found you struggling with something he would offer his help mainly to show off how strong he is.
^ If you ever need help with something you can always go to either one of them, and they'll both do their best while also trying to cheer you up if something hasn't gone the way you wanted. Gods forbid you ever get hurt while making something, the slightest hiss or pain and their asking what's wrong, Zoro is way more toned down just asking if your ok and if you need anything while Sanji is instantly by your side taking what ever body part is hurt into his hands and looking it over before dragging you off to see chopper.
^ When you work late into the night mainly because you loose track of time both of your boys have to come down and get you, one isn't enough since you try and by more time if its only one of them. With Sanji you can give him a pout and kiss asking him to sit with you fore a minute while you finish up, that minute turns into 5, then 10 and soon the cook is fast asleep on your work table. With Zoro all you have to do is ask for his help with something, even if its just opening a jar or pulling something apart then compliment him, you'll force him to sit down in your seat so you can sit on his lap and work saying you'll be a minute, again that minute turns into much longer and the swordsman is fast sleep holding you tight.
^ It surprises you how long it took them to realize what you were doing so now come together in order to get you to sleep, they both have to remind each other of your tactics. Working together they manage to pull you away form your work and to bed, it warms your heart at how much they care about you, at first you feared they only liked you for what you made them but once that was voiced they both made it well known that they love you for you and nothing else. They constantly remind you of that with compliments, loving touches and pulling you away form your work just for your attention or make you eat and sleep.
^ Sanji loves all the things you make for him and tries his best to take great care of them, most of the stuff you make for him are in the kitchen since their practical gifts, A knife block that sharpens the knives for him and some robotic hands that you can attach to the sink that washes dishes for him are the main things but you've made small stuff too. One of his favorites is a small Robot that looks just like him, its made to grind spices and herbs for him rolling the stone back and forth to crush what he needs, he mainly likes it because not only is it useful and catches his likeness well but it also keeps Luffy distracted instead of asking for food.
^ There is one thing the cook keeps in his room away from everyone and everything, a small thing that no one would bat an eye too, but he holds so close to his heart that he wants to keep it safe forever. He's almost scared to use it in case he damages it, its one of the first things you made him and although you didn't think it was perfect still, Sanji couldn't help but fall in love with it and in turn fall in love with you.
^ The lighter you gifted him was unlike anything he had ever seen before, it was round and the middle made out of glass so you can see the strange multicolored liquid inside, a beautiful blue steal engraved casing surrounded it, at first it just seemed like random lines but when he looked closer he found that the small engagements where actually pots, pans, knives, spoons ect, anything to do with cooking was cut out letting you see the glass area.
^ He was beyond happy with it and loved the blush on your face when he raved about it but you had one last thing up your sleeve, turning the lighter on instead of the normal yellow flame it was a blue flame, he started at it in amazement a warm feeling filling his chest as you talked. At that moment the world around him became none existent, just him, you and the blue flame lighting up your face in a way that took his breath and heart, that was the moment he fell in love and what made him decide to treasure that lighter forever.
^ Zoro didn't care a first and was almost offended when you made him something that would make training easier, he did want or need your help and made it clear to you. He got yelled at by most of the crew for making you upset and almost scared of him but it was Us opp and Chopper who managed to make him see the other side of things. You weren't calling him weak, you just wanted to make his training better and more effective because of this he apologized the best he could, after that he loves having you around and working while he's training. On his breaks he'll sit with you and watch what your doing, becoming almost hypnotized by how you make it look so easy.
^ The things you make for him are mostly to do with training but there are times when you try to help him with his sense of direction but those always seem to fail since he keeps getting lost even with the best of your stuff. You've made wrap around pads that turn hot or cold dampening on what he needs, a small device that shows him how fast, strong and level his swings are either with a sword of weights.
^ The first thing you made him is a small device that can be strapped to the back of his neck, thanks to the help of Chopper its made to read brain waves, the small screen will show, what muscles in the body are being works, how long for and the amount of strain their under. It'll let off a beep if a part of the body is under too much strain which is what annoyed him in the first place, you did tell him that the gauge can be changed, but he didn't listen due to his anger. At first, he wanted to throw it out or chuck it into the ocean but for some reason he couldn't, it's been in his locker ever since, and he can't bring himself to let you knew he's still got it, so it says there.
^ There are times when he'll look it over with a smile thinking about everything you've done for him but also cursing himself for yelling at you that day and almost ruining what he has now, loving you and having you make things for him is something he holds close to his heart and this small machine if a constant reminder to never take that for granted, but he'll never let you know.
I think what drives me a little crazy (in a good way) about zosan as a ship is - ironically - that they're willing to do the worst possible thing, to sacrifice, for a necessary goal unrelated to their relationship. By that I mean that a common romance trope is an individual being willing to sacrifice the world, anything and anyone else, for their lover, and zosan is...not that. And for some reason that drives me more feral than that other romance trope ever possibly could. I find that more romantic than "I would burn the world for you" and I'll explain why.
The root of their specific willingness to sacrifice isn't a shortage of love or care by any means, but a complete trust and understanding of each other. To the absolute core of who they are. I'm going to refer specifically to that agreement between zosan (that I got spoiled on, so apologies if I get details wrong, I haven't gotten there in the story yet - ALSO spoiler warning if you haven't gotten to around Wano, so click away).
.
.
.
I'm referring to Sanji telling Zoro to kill him if he changes after his stint in Germa, and Zoro agreeing without need for an explanation, telling Sanji to survive until then - that is so fucking romantic to me, and people hold it up as proof that they don't care about each other but to me, it's anything but.
There is a burden of duty to being the wings of the pirate king, and they both take that responsibility seriously. They're both devoted to their captain and to their crew, and to the dreams of their crew. Zoro perhaps more outwardly unwaveringly so, but Sanji is devoted too, different from Zoro but equal in intensity. There are moments when you can TELL they're on the same wavelength, moments where Zoro gives a rare speech on the dynamics of their crew and Sanji is silent because he agrees. Sanji is terrified of hurting his found family, and he's terrified of becoming like his brothers and father. He loves his nakama and so he's willing to sacrifice his own life to prevent from turning into that type of monster.
Zoro is similar. He is willing to die for his nakama, and their dreams. They are in complete understanding of that point. Death itself is not something that scares either of them, there are some things that are worth the price. Potentially for different reasons ahem self worth issues ahem Sanji ahem but that's still something they both understand. Zoro would sacrifice himself in a heartbeat to save Sanji (he already has at Thriller bark), Sanji would do the same (again. Thriller bark), so it's not remotely because they don't care or love each other. They are absolutely willing to give all they are to keep each other from outside harm.
But what happens if the threat to the crew is Sanji himself?
Sanji asks Zoro to be the one to kill him, because Zoro is the only one on the crew who he trusts 100% to do so, to fulfill the promise, who understands. I personally think Luffy would try to save his nakama, even beyond what is possible, at his own detriment. The other crew members would probably do the same (then again I'm still not through the show so feel free to disagree with my interpretation).
But Zoro could do it if it came to that. It would be awful, and it would shatter and change him, irreversibly, heartbreakingly so - I don't agree with people who say Zoro would kill his nakama without hesitation and be fine with it out of loyalty to his captain, Zoro has a heart y'all and he loves his crew - but he could grit his teeth and do it if he realizes it is necessary, that there is no other option. Sanji trusts him to keep his word, to protect the rest of their family. Do you know how telling it is about the level of regard you have for your partner, to trust them to the point where you can easily place the well being of almost all you both treasure into their hands, once you realize you can't be the one to protect it anymore, and know without a shadow of a doubt that it'll be safe as long as it's with them? With knowing they're strong enough to accept the heavy burden of having your blood stain their hands for the rest of their life, the blame for your death on their shoulders, the shadow of you in every single thing they do, inescapable and marking every facet of their life forever? And to trust that they'll not only accept those consequences without hesitation because it's what you asked of them, but will also protect what you both treasure until their last breath, without you even needing to EXPLAIN that that's what you're asking to them to do, because it's the obvious, it's what you've both been doing all this time, it's something you both know so well that no words need to be exchanged, no reassurances need to be given.
And the implication of Sanji wanting Zoro to do this task too, of being okay dying by Zoro's hands because they're equals in every way. Especially since their fighting dynamic is mostly a competitive, I'm stronger than you, I'll never lose to someone as weak as you, blah blah. This is proof that that's not what Sanji and Zoro actually think of each other. Sanji knows that they could kill each other if either of them truly tried for one - wouldn't have asked Zoro to kill him otherwise. Sanji is also fine with Zoro being the one to defeat him. There is an inherent (kinda fucked up) romance to that notion. 'If I have to die, let it be by your hands.'
And on Zoro's part, there's an inherent fucked up romance to keeping your lover close forever because your fingers are stained with the necessity of their blood.
fUCK.
(here is a caveat that I'm viewing this in a scenario where Sanji and Zoro have established that they love each other and are potentially in a relationship. If it's before that you could also flavour it with Sanji's "I love him but I think it's unrequited, actually I think he may hate me, so it would hurt him the least to be the one to kill me" which is JUICY, but just for this post I'm viewing it where they've already established that they're valuable to each other, that they care)
How am I supposed to look at that and not fucking die. It's so much more nuanced and romantic to me personally than "I would burn the world for you" because that trope at its core is a selfish sort of protection. I can 100% see how people find it romantic, don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you if you like that trope, that's so valid. It's "I can't live without you" and "I would choose you above all others" which is romantic, but it's romantic in a different way. Depending on the characters, it's also, I would go to extremes to make sure you're alive, even if there's nothing else left after the carnage except for each other, even if everything else that makes life worth living has been destroyed for survival, and we can only ever rely on each other for the rest of time. I only care about you but not anything else you care about. I won't try to save it, even if you tell me to, even if you want me to, and won't forgive me for all I've done because I can't bear the burden of you not being alive and around anymore.
I get why it's compelling, but that trope could ignore (depending on how it's written) everything else that person could hold dear. Ignores potentially, the agency of the person being protected, a character who could have accepted the consequences and have not wanted the world to burn for their sake, who is strong enough for that burden. And true, maybe the character isn't like that, maybe they just want simply to live a life (valid of them, people are allowed to want happy endings for themselves), but my point is, it's a different archetype of romance for a different archetype of character, but it seems to be more accepted as a romantic trope then zosan's dynamic and I think it shouldn't be that way.
Zosan is the opposite. It suits their character type perfectly. For them, it's "there are things that are worth more than even you and me. I love you, knowing who you are and how you view the world and what other things you value. I love you everyday on purpose, not hopelessly or illogically or blindly, even knowing you may not always choose me. I'm willing to accept the pain of that, just to be next to you. The time we share isn't any less valuable for being fleeting and impermanent. I care about the things you care about and our lives are also worth living because of those things. It would tear me apart irreversibly to hurt you, but I would do it if you asked it of me, I would do it if that's what this life demands of us. I know you can protect what we both love, even if I'm not beside you. I respect your choices. In this, we understand each other perfectly."
THAT is my shit. That's the fucking deranged ass bs that has me staring at my ceiling at 3 am, pacing the floors at 6 in the morning, gnawing on conkcrete like a rabid dog. Brain rot brain rot brain rot.
Sanji has a nasty habit of denying himself little luxuries. Sleeping in, hot food, the unconditional love of his crew. He's used to it though; used to getting up at the crack of dawn to prepare breakfast, used to working on an empty stomach to ensure everyone else is fed, used to serving up pieces of himself and getting nothing in return. He can't afford those luxuries. Not even on his birthday.
Zoro thinks he’s a pretty loyal person. All things considered, he’s a faithful crewmember and swordsman of the Strawhat Pirates. Zoro looks up just in time to see Luffy launching himself at Sanji, wrapping his stretched limbs all over Sanji’s body. Sanji has just walked out of the galley carrying a plate full of fancy-looking drinks and he’s extending his arm as far away as possible from Luffy’s grasp, and Luffy leans over his shoulder, their cheeks pressed against each other’s, their lips almost touching — Zoro is seriously considering mutiny.
All it takes is one desperate battle in the jungle for Zoro to finally be on the other side. For him to be the one worrying at a bedside. For him to be the one waiting hours for the slightest sign of anything. For him to be the one missing meals and skipping showers and sleeping in the infirmary chair. Or Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji fight a tough battle in the forest that leaves all, but Zoro, horribly injured.
It was a stupid idea, Zoro had known it all along and now he was really wondering why he had accepted such a proposal. No amount of alcohol in the world could ever be worth the decomposition he would see in Sanji's eyes when he learned the truth. Zoro had bet on him, for one fucking drink.
What should be a run-of-the-mill skirmish with a devil fruit user turned Sanji into an eight-year-old, and the Strawhats are suddenly faced with a version of Sanji they have never met before: a Sanji before the Strawhats, before the floating restaurant, but after—something. Zoro observes, learns, and relearns.
drink from me
a sherry-laced conversation about thirst and running away. zosan | 2k | hurt/comfort
Being a coward isn’t as easy as one might think.
It’s juxtaposition in its own right; cowardice is, as defined, a lack of bravery— And yet Sanji supposes it takes bravery to be able to ditch everything you stand for. To turn tail and run. Bravery to bear upon your shoulders the disappointment of everybody who had ever believed in you.
He sighs deeply, tilting the bottle in his hand so that the dregs of liquor slosh within. This is why he doesn’t drink.
It’s relatively easy most days. To lock his past behind a set of double doors, bar the handles with a padlock and chain so he can pretend that everything he’s running from isn’t just three paces behind, snapping at his heels, starved and ready to eat him up whole. Alcohol slots the key back into place and twists it without his permission. Twists his heart until it aches.
He doesn’t know why he’d started. The bottle of sherry had sat, nondescript and guileless and half-full on the galley table after the night’s dessert, and Sanji had paused before he’d slowly wrapped his fingers around the neck of it and let his nails scrape against the dark glass.
The cork had popped almost too easily and here he is now, taffrail digging into his forearms as he takes a long drag from his cigarette and lets bitter smoke fill his lungs full to bursting. Blood orange coats the back of his tongue, cloyingly sweet, thick on the roof of his mouth— He’d made a layered trifle with cacao nibs and caramelised cream that had been slathered between slabs of boozy vanilla sponge, and the aftertaste clings to his teeth. Sanji peers down as what’s left of the sherry glimmers vaguely inside the bottle and fights the urge to chug the rest.
He could, if he really wanted to. He hardly drinks but it certainly doesn’t mean he can’t.
A soft scrape against wood catches his attention, barely perceptible. He fights to keep his spine from stiffening, fights to maintain his loose-limbed, easy demeanor; the liquid warmth in his veins helps some but not enough, and he’s halfway through another drag when near-silent footsteps stop just behind him.
Zoro’s haori shifts in the wind, palm loosely wrapped around the end of Wado’s hilt where she’s strapped alone to his hip. “Was wondering where you went,” he says easily, looking out over the ocean.
Sanji scoffs. It burns his throat more than the sherry did. “For someone built like that, you’re surprisingly quiet, marimo.”
The immediate urge to kick himself is something new. He rarely feels it— It appears often, don’t get him wrong, he just. Ignores it. It’s a little more difficult tonight. Built like that. The noise that escapes him is mirthless. What’s that even supposed to mean, huh? Alcohol’s always made him snappy and he does feel bad for once — But he’s tired, and the chores won’t do themselves.
“Make it quick, would you?” he mutters when Zoro still hasn’t replied, low and quiet in the still evening air as he curves down to dig the heel of his palm into his temple. “My spice jars are still all over the counter, and I have to mop the floor before I wash the dishes—”
“It’s done.”
Sanji blinks, before his eyes narrow and he turns his head to look at Zoro properly. “The dishes?”
“Everything.” The swordsman huffs when Sanji gives him a dubious look, gaze flicking over and away again as he rolls his eye. “Luffy asked me to clean up the galley. Said you needed a break.”
Well. The cook exhales, measured, and buries his face into the crook of his elbow. Taps his cig so that ash doesn’t fall into his hair where he’s holding it aloft above his head. “Tell him thanks, but I don’t.”
He clocks it out of his peripheral vision when Zoro smirks and waves a hand to gesture to his cigarette and his slouch and the glass bottle dangling against wood. “What’s this, then?”
I don’t know. Shop’s closed, please fuck off and come back tomorrow morning.
The other words that sit at the tip of Sanji’s tongue are far more scathing. He feels them, bites them back viciously before he can burn anyone other than himself. “If there’s a single thing out of place in there I’m gonna—”
“Kick my ass, I know, I know.” Zoro chuckles under his breath. “Don’t you get tired of saying the same things over and over again?”
“Maybe I wouldn’t have to if you didn’t constantly choose to be selectively deaf, moss-for-brains.”
The swordsman huffs another soft laugh, and conversation peters out after that. Sanji feels an itch building at the base of his skull, flickering just under his skin; it’s making him restless. He taps the bottle against the rail just to fill the silence. Zoro reaches a hand out and Sanji gives it to him easily, unthinkingly, watching and pretending he isn’t as the swordsman thumbs over the faded paper label that’s peeling at the corner.
Zoro’s hands are scarred, he notes. He knows this, of course, but he never gets tired of letting his gaze drift over tan skin and old scars, thin slivers of pearly tissue painted silver in the moonlight. A breeze ruffles his hair as Zoro finally drinks, and he’s distantly surprised to see that it’s a measured sip and not a swig like what it usually would have been.
Fucking hell. Sanji’s inhale shudders when he pushes himself up and stands straight, now-free hand wrapping around lacquered wood as he finishes his cigarette and tosses the butt over the side. He needs to stop thinking. He’s paying too much attention. There’s a pressure building behind his forehead and Zoro is an overwhelming presence beside him, unavoidable, stoic and staunch as ever, perfect posture, perfect honour, a sentinel with a pure white sword like some sort of— of hero from a storybook. Perfect perfect perfect.
It’s all building like a scream behind his lips, a river at a bottleneck, and he clenches his jaw to keep it in. Grits his teeth until he hears them creak because what would happen if he opened his mouth? Nothing good, he’s sure. Nothing anyone needs.
Sanji nearly startles when the bottle taps against his elbow. “Talk to me.”
“Nothing to say,” he replies immediately, taking a careless gulp and holding in a cough.
Zoro’s slow exhale feels like it shifts the wind itself. Their ship creaks gently. “You always have something to say, curls.”
“Look, you—” He cuts himself off, tempering his breath. “I’m tired, alright? So can you just get to the point?” Fuck, he needs another cigarette.
Maybe that’s the problem. He knows he’s the problem, sure, but Sanji suspects that he’s been running for so long that he’s forgotten how to walk. It’s grown into him like weeds wound through his ribs, the way he sees poison in water that’s perfectly clean, the way peace makes him more anxious than chaos does. He needs to stop running. He doesn’t know how.
Zoro pries the sherry from his fingers and it’s only then that he relaxes the death grip he’d unintentionally had, a shudder slipping over his shoulders. Zoro holds the bottle loosely between his scarred fingers and doesn’t drink.
The silence thickens. Static crackles within his bones.
Sanji doesn’t know why he starts talking. Doesn’t know why it feels like a dam breaking in his chest, but his mouth is open, and the words are emptying out. “I’m tired of looking over my shoulder for something that isn’t there. Luffy gave me something to run towards, for once, but—”
He doesn’t know how to say it’s not enough without sounding ungrateful, without being greedy. “Sometimes I think I could… consume every one of the Blues, and still want more,” he allows. “Need more.” His fingers lace together, and Sanji dips his head with a wry smile even as he looks at the endless expanse of sky in front of them. “I’m afraid I’ll drink the world and still come up dry.”
There is a thirst in him. Something different than what had wracked him for a month on that barren rock. Hunger he can handle; he eats just enough to stave it off and goes about his day. This, though— Sanji can’t help the way it buzzes in the back of his head and keeps him wound up like a coil of electrical wire. He kneads dough and whisks egg whites just to have something to do with his hands. He defaults to his usual barbs when he’s feeling ungrounded so he can kid himself into thinking he possesses some semblance of normality. His shoulders ache as he stares out over the sea and wonders what it’s like to hold so much and still, still, be so achingly empty.
The winds change, carding cool fingers through his hair.
“Drink from me,” Zoro says, and Sanji’s breath catches between his teeth.
His head snaps up to find Zoro already looking at him, face unreadable, elbows on the taffrail and bottle cupped in his hands. The swordsman looks serene, Sanji thinks. Gaze trained straight ahead, ever clear of his objectives as Wado gleams at his side, starlight in an ivory sheath.
“Drink from me,” he repeats. The words are solemn as they always are in moments like these, the liminal space just after dusk but before true night, as his eyes shift over to Sanji and lock in place. “I won’t let you go thirsty again.”
Sanji’s mouth dries. It’s hard not to feel pinned as Zoro looks at him; the weight of his gaze is almost physically tangible, like a familiar green coat settling over his shoulders. That’s the thing about Zoro— For all Sanji jokes about him having plant life in his skull, the swordsman has a penchant for dropping absolutely earth-shaking statements without even seeming to think about them at all. The cook swallows once, twice, tries to find his words as his lips part and loses them as soon as he takes his next breath.
He doesn’t know if he’ll ever stop feeling like a ticking time bomb. But as Zoro’s lashes flutter and he looks away, Sanji feels something in him settle. The relentless buzz that always seems to sit just beneath his skin soothes out into a quiet hum.
Maybe part of it’s how Zoro’s scarred and still perfect. Untouchable. Sanji couldn’t hurt him even if he tried, even if he blows apart.
His fingers wrap, unthinking, around the neck of the bottle as it’s pushed back into his hand, the pressure of Zoro’s touch lingering until he’s sure that Sanji has a good grip. The swordsman’s boots brush softly across the planks as he turns to leave and he’s halfway to the stairs before Sanji speaks.
“Marimo.”
He knows Zoro turns without even looking. “Hm?”
“Did Luffy really ask you to clean up the galley?”
A pause, before Zoro starts walking again. “Get some sleep, cook. I’ll take the rest of your watch.”
The silence he leaves in his wake is honey-thick. First watch is Sanji’s shift, it always is— He cleans up the galley and stays awake until Zoro comes to take over.
(The galley is clean. His watch is covered. His mind is quiet.
For once, he can’t find himself another reason to stay.)
The sherry holds no evidence of them ever having shared it. Sanji lifts the tinted glass and there’s no trace of Zoro, no proof that his mouth had ever been where Sanji’s is— None of the candied orange and rosemary from the duck they’d had for dinner, gamey and blood-sweet.
I won’t let you go thirsty again.
Sanji tastes it still, gentle in the back of his throat as he drains the bottle.
drabbles? I love drabbles! how about zosan tending to each other's wounds and maybe getting a little too close...
"I said to hold still you stupid mosshead—"
"Be fucking careful with that thing—!"
"Oh, as if you were so careful with yourself earlier!"
Zoro hissed again when Sanji dabbed at a nasty cut at his temple. It's a goddamn miracle that the assailant didn't cut his brains out in battle. Either it's a miracle or dumb luck. Sanji doesn't want to call it skill. Zoro's head was big enough as it is, thank you very much.
It's times like these where Sanji wishes Chopper went with them. Would have been nice to have him here to stitch up the swordsman's wounds in the middle of the damn forest. It also would help if he wasn't squirming so much every time Sanji moves.
"I hate you," Sanji murmurs as he starts the painstaking process of stitching. There's a hand that finds itself a spot on Zoro's head, long slender fingers tangled in green hair, and there's a slight tug of warning on those wayward strands.
"Don't. Fucking. Move."
It must have been the way Sanji's voice went dangerously low. Or the way the hand buried into his hair trembled with his grip. But Zoro stayed still this time, watching from his peripherals how focused the cook was, and his frustration simply melts away. He sighs. Because he understands. No matter how many times they've assured each other that they can take care of themselves, they are two of the most self-sacrificial idiots on the crew.
Zoro would probably be the exact same way.
Eventually, Sanji finishes, clipping the excess thread away, before relaxing his grip on Zoro's hair. But his hand stays there. He plays with the green strands absentmindedly as he examines the cuts on Zoro's face, making sure he didn't miss anything.
"Cook?"
"Hm?" When Sanji finally looks into Zoro's eyes, his breath hitches, and he realizes that their faces are so close together he can feel Zoro's breath against his skin. His face feels warm all of a sudden. "Oh."
Then Zoro's hand reaches up this time, his calloused fingers tracing Sanji's face for injuries that aren't there. And it's gentle. So gentle. Sanji can't breathe. The same hands that have murdered thousands in cold blood caressed Sanji's face like he was worth more than any treasure they could ever find.
"I'm here," Zoro says and he knows that images of a blood soaked Zoro are what flashes through his mind. Sanji's grip tightens again in Zoro's hair. The swordsman presses their foreheads together – warm and familiar and secure.
"Nothing can take me away from you." And Zoro's gaze is piercing. Unwavering. True. "Nothing. Okay?"
He says it with the cadence of a man taking a blood oath for a dead god — loyalty as a form of worship.
And Sanji takes the offering from the swordsman's lips when he leans in to kiss.
I actually find it kind of funny that we collectively almost always think that in Zosan/Sanzo fanfics Sanji is the homophonic one and in denial of his own feelings. When Zoro has so much potential as well! Maybe not in the “internalized homophobia” kinda way, but in the “no one ever said something good about gays when I told them I’m gay, so I just assume everyone hates gays…and I have to pretend to hate them, too, to get accepted” kinda way.
Picture a very flamboyant Sanji, kinda open about his sexuality in ways of “I’m bi, I love guys as well, but I don’t really talk about it because no one ask me. I just assume everyone knows…I mean look at me”.
And one day Sanji is at a bar and a guy comes over to flirt with him. Sanji enjoys it, because it’s been a while since a guy showed interest in him. Being stuck on a ship with the same guys doesn’t bring much opportunities. It’s always something different than flirting with women - yes it’s sweet, too, most of the time. But there is this raw undertone and the promise of a rough time (in a good way) that he only gets with men. The guy gets a little touchy and Sanji likes it, goosebumps starting to wash over his body as he feels the callous fingers tracing up his back under his shirt. He smiles at the guy, placing a hand on his shoulder to pull him in and…
The guy gets yanked backward, stumbling and only catching himself on a table right before he can hit the ground. Zoro standing between him and Sanji.
“Get lost,” the swordsman growls and the guy practically flees from the bar.
“I didn’t know…” Sanji starts but gets cut off by Zoro.
“You need to tell those sissies to get lost; otherwise, they won’t leave you alone.”
“Excuse me?” Sanji’s shocked voice goes completely over Zoro’s head.
“Yeah, those bastards won’t leave you alone. You need to be a bit more aggressive and direc…”
A smack echoes through the room as the conversations around them die out. Zoro holding his hurting cheek, looking shocked at an angry Sanji - are those tears in his eyes? What the…and right at that moment Zoro’s mind clicks.
“Shit…sorry! I didn’t…I‘m…”
“Shut up, you big asshole!”
And then Sanji proceeds to literally kick Zoro out of the bar. Landing face-first in the dirt outside, Zoro is a bit disoriented because he hit his head on the cobblestones. Sanji storms out after him, grabbing the swordsman by the back of his shirt and pushing him down the street.
“Cook, let go…I’m…”
“I said shut up, Zoro!”
“But I…”
Sanji shoves Zoro into an ally and pushes him up against a wall - hands fisted in the fabric of his shirt.
“I don't mind you being rough and an idiot; I really don't!” Sanji yells in Zoro’s face.
“Cook…”
“But say those words again, and I will kick your head in!” He gets nearer to Zoro’s face as he talks.
“Let me…”
“I don't know if you’re aware of it.” Sanji yanks Zoro toward him only to crash his back against the wall again.
Zoro tries to talk again, but Sanji’s hand makes harsh contact with his cheek for a second time. He realizes he’d overstepped one of Sanji’s boundaries so far, Sanji is barely able to hold himself back.
“But I’m one of those people you call sissies and bastards. So…”
Suddenly, Zoro launches forward, pressing their lips together and shocking Sanji into complete silence. Another smack sounds as Sanji tries to hit Zoro again, but this time, Zoro can grab his hand, yanking Sanji toward him and turning so the cook is pressed against the wall.
“Can I finish my sentence now?” Zoro growls without actual bite behind his voice.
“I don't want to hear it! What’s even the matter with you?! You insult gay people and when I confront you, you’re kissing me?! What…”
Another press of Zoro’s lips against his shuts Sanji up again. This time Zoro stretches the length of their kiss, trying to deepen it but Sanji finally pushes him away.
“Please?” Zoro mumbles, looking like a beaten dog.
“Fine…but if you kiss me again, I’m gonna kick you from here back to the Sunny!”
Zoro nods and takes a deep breath.
“I don't have anything against gay people,” he holds up a hand as Sanji wants to interrupt. “Would be a bit of a hypocrite, to be honest.”
“The fuck you mean?!”
“I’m gay, cook! Always knew it…It’s just…growing up, every time I told someone, I lost friends or got kicked out from groups I was traveling with…I got beat up - at least they tried. And the amount of times I was told to kill myself, that it’s abnormal and unnatural…”
He shakes his head and looks apologizing at Sanji.
“I know I shouldn't have done what I did in the bar…I know I made the day of that guy so much worse, and I hate myself for it because I know how it feels! But I thought when I go over and “help” you, I wouldn't have to listen to you rambling about how a sissy tried to get touchy with you and how disgusting it was…I’m so sorry…”
Sanji shakes his head and grabs Zoro’s ear to tug on it.
“And you actually never caught the fact that I’m gay…or actually I’m bi. You really never saw that?!”
“You never said something…” Zoro poutes.
“Well, I thought it was obvious! Everyone in the crew knows…except for you apparently!”
“You know I’m not good at this stuff, and reading people is also not my strong side, so…Also, you’re one to scold me for it! You never caught on the fact that I’m gay!”
“I actually thought you weren't interested in anyone, to be honest…”
“Na, being ace is Luffy’s part,” Zoro grins and shakes his head.
Sanji scoffs and grabs Zoro by the front of his shirt, pulling him in. His blue eye fixed on Zoro’s grey.
“You ruined my evening of fun with that guy,” Sanji licks his lips while staring Zoro down - he is almost cute with blushing cheeks. “I think it’s only fair if you take his place. What you say?”
“I…fuck…I’ve never done anything with a guy actually,” Zoro stammers, blushing a even deeper red.
“That’s not gonna stop me, Marimo. But I’ll be gentle, I promise.”
And then Sanji walks toward a motel, Zoro tagging behind him like a dog running after a treat.
Zosan child pt.2
Pt. 3 def gonna be full on family fluff.
“Daddy?!”
Sanji’s jaw dropped and he froze.
“Oh Daddy I was so scared!” Sora threw her arms around Sanji’s neck and cried into his neck.
Sanji’s arms wrapped around her small frame mindlessly and hold her close, rubbing her back. Sanji looked to Zoro looking for any help in the situation. Zoro only mirrored Sanji’s astonishment and confusion.
The child pulled back and looked at her father a little concerned, “Daddy are you okay?” Sora looked over to where Sanji was looking and her eyes focused on Zoro. “Papa?” She squirmed out of Sanji’s arms and ran over to Zoro hugging his legs, “Papa you’re here too!”
Zoro stumbled back, Sora clinging onto his right leg. “Eh?!” He started shaking his leg trying to pry Sora off but she only started to squeal and giggle holding onto him more.
“Papa! Papa!” She giggled and hugged his leg.
Zoro grabbed her off of his leg and held her on his hip, “I ain’t your papa.”
Sora giggled and hugged his neck, “You’re always so funny papa!”
Zoro’s body warmed at her affection. At this point Sanji stood and went over to the two. “Where’d you come from little one?” Sanji asked.
Sora looked over at Sanji her arms still around Zoro, “Well, I was just eating snacks with you and Papa and I got really tired. Papa and you tucked me in bed and then I saw a bright light and I was suddenly in the middle of the street. I was really scared but when I saw you I felt better.”
“So…we’re your parents?” Zoro asked her blatantly while Sanji kicked him softly.
Sora cocked her head at him, “Of course you are Papa!”
“Huh…”
“Papa are you okay? I want..I want to go home. This place doesn’t look like the All Blue.”
Sanji gasped, “All Blue?”
Sora looked back over at him, “Well of course, you discovered it Daddy. And you own the best restaurant ever there! You make me and Papa the yummiest food!”
Sanji stepped back and leaned against the wall a hand over his mouth. “It exists.” He mumbled under his hand, tears pricking his eyes.
“Oi, Curly.”
“Daddy?” Sora unwrapped her arms from Zoro and motioned that she wanted to be put down and Zoro obliged. Once her feet were on the ground she ran over to Sanji. “Daddy don’t cry!”
Sanji ran a hand through his hair trying to calm himself down. And Sora tried to pry his arms open for her to sit in his lap. Sanji looked at her, so many emotions running through his head.
He looked at her and smiled, “I’m sorry little one, but I’m not your father. I mean it. I didn’t even know the All Blue existed until you told me. Zoro and I just found you in the street a little bit ago. But you are named after my mother and have an odd resemblance to us.”
“What do you mean?” She asked, her voice wavered a bit.
“I don’t mean to make you cry sweetheart. I would never want to hurt you.” Sanji brushed her hair softly, “But I’m telling the truth. I may look like your daddy, but I am not, I’m merely a cook on a pirate crew.”
Sora paused and looked at Sanji perplexed. She sat and thought for a bit trying to piece some things together. “Well I did think it was a little weird that your hair was shorter. And that Papa’s left eye was still there and didn’t have a scar…”
Zoro’s eyes widened and he touched his left eye making sure it was still there. Sora continued.
“I know you two used to be on the Strawhats! But you said that ever since Uncle Luffy became King you and papa moved to the All Blue and became husbands. But since you can’t have kids some guy with Devil fruit abilities was able to create me! You own a restaurant and Papa is the world’s greatest swordsman and he sometimes has to go away but he always comes back!”
Sanji and Zoro paused not knowing what to do with this new information. This child, their child?was basically telling them their entire futures.
“Something must have happened while I was sleeping that made me get sent back here to when you guys were younger.” Sora figured.
Sanji nodded slowly and let out the breath he was holding. “I see….then we must find a way to get you back home.”
Sora nodded. “I don’t feel that far away though. My dad’s are right her with me!” Sora hugged Sanji’s neck.
Sanji’s heart melted and he hugged her back. Processing the thought that Zoro and him had a child together, nonetheless got married made his brain short circuit. His mind drifted to how awful it would be to marry the stupid moss head. But if it meant that he was happy and had an amazing daughter, it didn’t bother him all that much for right now.
Sanji stood up with Sora in his arms and walked over to Zoro. “We should send you back to your time. But in order to do that we must find that man that sent you here.”
“You saw the man that sent me here?” Sora asked.
Zoro made his voice known, “Yeah, some weirdo said he knew he couldn’t defeat us but could hinder us and then a big white light like the one you mentioned earlier appeared and you showed up.”
“Oh..” Sora nodded. “Devil fruit users are truly incredible if they have the power to do that! I’ve always wanted to meet the younger versions of you guys and go on one of their adventures. I guess I can now.” She squealed in delight hugging Sanji tighter.
Sanji’s heart was almost about to explode at her affection. To think he had made it to the All Blue and found a loving family took a weight off his shoulders he didn’t even know he had. “Well my beautiful daughter, we must get ourselves a place to stay for the night so we can figure this out in the morning. I’m sure you exhausted.”
As if on cue Sora yawned and nodded leaning her head against Sanji’s shoulder. Sanji started walking towards the inn while Zoro just stayed in place. Sanji tuned to him, “C’mon Mossy, I think she would want both of her dads there.”
Zoro flushed and walked over to join them, “I hope this brat isn’t as annoying as you.”
Sora smiled and fell into a gentle rest as Sanji carried her down the street. Even though he wasn’t the dad she knew, he was still her dad and she felt safe in his arms.
In Another Life
Series: One Piece
Word Count: 5153
Rating: T
Pairing(s): ZoSan
A party at Mihawk's (or his desperate attempt to socialize his protege) takes a strange turn when Zoro hears a piano upstairs.
(I've also never written One Piece fic before. Please be gentle.)
Zoro never saw any point in the large, lavish parties.  Nobility or not, Zoro didn’t understand Mihawk’s appreciation to peacock himself.  And for what?  To show off?  To make connections that he’ll ultimately break?  Of course not.  Mihawk had a difference reason for this particular party.  Mihawk was to hold…a flesh auction of sorts.  Not for money or anything like that.  To see his young protégé finally not mope around their villa another summer.
“Do we have to do this, Mihawk?” Zoro whined as he went through yet another suit fitting, “Can’t I just sit this out?”
“No,” Mihawk stood his ground, watching the tailor’s hands work quickly, “You’re going.  Like it or not.”
“I’m leaning toward the not part.”
“Zoro,” Mihawk groaned, “How long has it been since you even knew what a woman looked like?”
“I’ve seen women before,” Zoro rolled his eyes, beyond irritated with him, “It’s not like I’m a stranger to people.”
“Then, why do you always act like it?” Mihawk asked, “Zoro’s too good to be around other people.  Zoro’s always going to be off by himself.  Zoro would rather be alone playing with his sword than having someone else play with it for him.”
“Can we not be disgusting?”
“Can you simply humor me for the night?” Mihawk ordered, “It’s not like I’m asking you for a vital organ, Zoro.  I’m asking you to actually socialize.  Locking yourself away isn’t good for you.”
“Do I not see you every day?” Zoro pointed out, jerking at the pin prick in his hip, “Ow!  What the hell?”
“I’m so sorry,” the tailor winced.
“Don’t make it a habit,” Zoro let it go.
“I’m serious, Zoro,” Mihawk insisted, “You need to be more socialized.  You’d be amazed at what a little elbow rubbing will get you.  Consider this another lesson.”
“You teach me in the ways of the blade,” Zoro reminded him, “I didn’t sign up for this.”
“Then, consider it a bonus,” Mihawk did his best to hold his composure, but the thought of running Zoro through with his own blade gave him much temptation.  But then, it dawned on him.  What had Zoro so antisocial.  But he needed to guide the conversation in the right direction, “Why do you refuse to make any connections?”
“I don’t need them,” Zoro blew him off, idly staring into the mirror in any other direction but his own eyes.
And that’s when all of Mihawk’s theories made sense, “Is this about Kuina?”
Zoro’s jaw tensed up at the mere mention of her name.  The last time he ever truly got close to someone.  His grief tightened up in his stomach.  And he shot a piercing glare at Mihawk, “You had no right.  You had no business bringing her into it.”
“So, it is a Kuina problem,” Mihawk shooed away the tailor and sat at the edge of Zoro’s bed.
And without hesitation, Zoro drew his blade from its sheathe.  Even when being poked and prodded at by the tailor, he wouldn’t be caught without it on him.  He held the tip of his blade in Mihawk’s face, “I said, you have no business speaking her name.  Drop it.”
“And what have I always told you?” Mihawk lowered Zoro’s blade, “Don’t draw your blade unless you intend to draw blood.  Calm yourself.”
Zoro wanted his blade to taste blood.  To let the iron fortify the blade even more.  But he conceded and returned his sword to its sheathe, “I stand by what I said.”
“As do I,” Mihawk assured him, “You will be there.  And for a change, you will be socialized.  Do we understand each other?”
“Please, Mihawk,” Zoro begged, “Don’t make me do this.”
“I’m not making you do anything,” Mihawk got up from the bed and started walking out, “I’m merely saying you’re going to be there.”
“Isn’t that the same thing?”
“I’m not putting bamboo splinters under your fingernails, Zoro,” Mihawk started walking out, “You’ll live.  It’s just one night.”
The moment the door closed, Zoro threw himself into his bed, hoping to get in a quick nap.  Yeah.  It’s just one night.  Easy for you to say.  You’re used to this garbage.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to get in a drink or two.  Or three.  The prospects of the evening started to sound a little better.  Mihawk usually does bring out the top shelf booze for this.  Maybe it won’t be so bad.  As long as he’s not lining them up for me, we should be fine.  Zoro stared up into the gilded ceiling.  Maybe tonight won’t be so bad.  And slowly, Zoro started to drift off.
But then, night fell over the palace.  And the staff were abuzz with party preparations, decorating, showering the palace in all the lavish furnishings and fabrics Mihawk insisted upon.  And of course, Mihawk oversaw everything.  From the colors, the textures in the drapery to the food left out for the guests to help themselves to, nothing would be put out without Mihawk’s seal of approval.  Which brought him to his next task.  Quite possibly the most important one he had.  Making sure his flight risk protégé didn’t prove himself a flight risk.  Alright, Zoro.  Where have you run off to?
Mihawk checked the gardens, the stables, the library, the study.  Zoro was nowhere to be found.  But then, he realized who exactly he had been looking for.  And the one place he failed to look.  Mihawk trudged upstairs and knocked on Zoro’s bedroom door.  And was met with silence.  I know you’re not napping at a time like this, Zoro.  At least you better not be.  Mihawk didn’t bother with the invitation and walked into Zoro’s bedroom.  Sure enough, still sleeping like a baby, Zoro continued to drool on himself, ever so slightly.
“Oh, Zoro,” Mihawk let out a heavy sigh of exasperation, “You’re lucky I don’t want you dead.  Get up.”
“Mmm…” Zoro rolled over, ignoring Mihawk entirely.
“You know,” Mihawk sat at the edge of the bed, “I have you mostly pegged as a flight risk.  But I should know better.  And truly, that’s on me.  Because why would you run from tonight’s party when you could simply sleep through it?”
“You’re letting me sleep through it?” Zoro mumbled into his pillow, “Thanks, Mihawk.  I knew you’d understand.”
“Zoro…” Mihawk growled, “If you’re not awake, alert, and fully dressed in the next hour, I am taking all of your swords and running them through different parts of your body. Do you understand?”
“Alright!” Zoro snapped, reluctantly rolling off his bed, “I’m up.  There.  Happy now?”
“Quite,” Mihawk praised, “Thank you.  Go on.  Your suit should be finished and in the closet.”
“Wonderful,” Zoro dragged himself toward his bathroom.  But he made a quick stop at his closet, noticing the garment bag hanging in it.
“You could’ve chosen any color under the rainbow,” Mihawk pointed out, “And yet, you decide to go with black.”
“It’s simple,” Zoro took the hanger and brought it with him, “Is that a problem?”
“Not what I would’ve chosen for you personally,” Mihawk shrugged, “If I had my say, it would’ve been a deep red.  It’d suit you.”
“Black is good, too,” Zoro brushed him off and shut the door behind him.
Mihawk rested his head on his knees, beyond done with Zoro’s reluctance.  It still seemed like yesterday this sad boy begged at his knee to teach him the ways of the blade.  Better than what anyone had ever taught him before.  And how irritating he was then.  But the fire in those sad eyes got to him.  And Mihawk couldn’t tell him no.  His raw talent was too good to just throw away.  It needed to be nurtured and cultivated into something great.  However, it was a shame Mihawk couldn’t do the same for Zoro’s personality.  At least, that was how Mihawk saw it.
“Zoro,” Mihawk leaned against Zoro’s bathroom door, grateful to hear the bathtub running, “If you need anything, come find me.”
“What about the house staff?” Zoro asked, already slipping into his bath water.
“They’re busy,” Mihawk insisted, “You find me directly.  Alright?”
“Fine,” Zoro shut his eyes again, doing his best not to fall back asleep.  But he knew sleep would elude him.  He had bigger things on his mind.  Why would Mihawk be so hellbent on me finding someone at this party?  Is he really getting that sick of me?  I thought we were good.  It’s not like he’s asking me for a kidney.  I guess I’ll suck it up for the night.  It’s just one night, right?  Unless I have to sit and deal with whoever ends up finding me tonight for the rest of my life.  Ugh…Just what I need.  I can’t just have a good night with some decent booze, can I?
As time passed, Mihawk took one last look at himself in the mirror, appreciating what he saw.  Because there’d be no way that at the very least Mihawk would go with a cold bed tonight.  However, this party wasn’t for him.  And as he walked down the hall, he kept his fingers crossed.  Please, Zoro.  Don’t tell me you went back to sleep.  Tell me you didn’t continue your nap in the bathtub.  Tell me you’re fully dressed and ready for this party.  Because I don’t think my heart can handle you still being in shambles.
“Zoro?” Mihawk didn’t even bother knocking.  He just walked right into Zoro’s bedroom.
Where Zoro had come out of the bathroom, doing his best to figure out how cufflinks worked, “You call for me?”
“Thank God,” Mihawk let out a sigh of relief, getting an eyeful of his prodigy.  Although, he couldn’t help himself, “What are you doing?”
“I’m trying to put these damn things on,” Zoro continued his struggle, “How does anyone put these on?”
“One cufflink at a time,” Mihawk took them away and pulled on Zoro’s sleeve, “Honestly, Zoro.  Have I not taught you better?”
“In a perfect world,” Zoro grumbled, “This shirt would’ve had buttons on it like I asked.”
“But,” Mihawk stood his ground, “I told them purposefully to leave the buttons off because of the cufflinks I got for you.”
“You didn’t get those for me,” Zoro pointed out, “You won them in a poker game.  That I watched you cheat at.”
“You get my point,” Mihawk hushed him, “Is this the kind of attitude I can expect tonight?  Because I’m not canceling.  There are already guests arriving.  And you’re not going to embarrass me.”
“Do forgive me,” Zoro rolled his eyes, still wanting no part of this.  Unless it had a proof on it.
“Zoro,” Mihawk begged, “Please.  At least try to have a good time tonight.”
“Fine,” Zoro caved, already with his eye on a good sake.
“Thank you,” Mihawk finished off his cufflinks, “Now, go downstairs.  Go meet a nice girl.  Call it a night.  Will that be so difficult for you?”
“Probably not,” Zoro walked out of the safety of his bedroom with a sword on one hip and two swords on the other.  Because he wasn’t going to leave without a little piece of Kuina on him.
Once he made it to the ballroom, Zoro established a nest.  Granted, he knew he wasn’t going to be at one of the tables in the back.  Oh, no.  That meant going unseen.  The head table was where he’d be.  That didn’t mean he couldn’t still make his nest.  He had a bottle of sake for the table and his favorite bottle opener.  Carefully, he ran his blade along the cork and started drinking.  Although, the sudden pop caught some attention.  Zoro knocked the bottom of the bottle on the table, tipped it toward the ceiling and got his first drink down.  Just a little something to take the edge off.  And he could tell right then and there.
This party would be his hell.
The last thing he wanted to do was sit and listen to Mihawk talk shop with the other nobility.  He didn’t care how their businesses were doing.  He didn’t care about their personal lives.  None of that interested him.  If the goal was for Mihawk to find a lovely young lady to keep Zoro warm for the evening, the bottle of sake was a much better place to look.  No one was even worth Zoro giving them a chance.  He just wanted to spend a little time alone.  However, at the height of the party, Mihawk wasn’t going to let him leave so easily.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Mihawk grabbed Zoro’s wrist.
“Bathroom,” Zoro brushed him off, “If that’s alright with you.”
“Fine,” Mihawk stopped him, “It’s funny, Zoro.  I haven’t seen you with anyone all night.  In fact, you’ve hardly strayed from my side.”
“Maybe you should’ve invited better guests,” Zoro played it off like he didn’t care, but he was bored out of his skull and he wanted nothing more than to…use the bathroom.  Yes.  The bathroom.  Just as he told Mihawk.
“Or better yet,” Mihawk growled, “Someone else should be a little more personable.  I asked you one thing, Zoro.  And I need you to come through on that.”
“So,” Zoro groaned, “Do I get to go to the bathroom or not?”
“Go,” Mihawk let him go, “Maybe you’ll sober up some.”
“Yeah,” Zoro walked away.  Wouldn’t that be a damn shame?  He couldn’t stand it anymore.  He wanted nothing more than to escape that party the second he stepped foot in it.  The ballroom was abuzz with activity, with people dancing, with people talking.  It was maddening.  And Zoro wanted nothing more than some peace.  And if he had to retreat to the bathroom to get that peace, then so be it.
However, on his way, the faint sound of a piano caught his attention.  The band played in the ballroom, but none of them had a piano.  It was oddly soothing.  The only room with a piano in it was the drawing room and it was a rarity anyone was ever in there.  Regardless, Zoro followed the sound.  Because anything was better than the overcrowded party in the ballroom and going back to Mihawk.  And someone had to have been playing it.  Zoro would finally socialize the way Mihawk wanted him to.  And then, Mihawk wouldn’t have a reason to throw a tantrum.
The closer Zoro got to the piano, the faster it played.  He just wanted Mihawk off his back.  But he kept a tight grip on his sword hilts.  Faster and faster, the piano played on.  Zoro couldn’t even recognize the song.  But once he got to the piano, no one was there.  Zoro scratched his head.  Where the hell was that coming from?  I know I heard a piano up here.  It’s right there.  So, who was playing it?  Regardless, Zoro knew there was someone up there.  There was someone who wandered away from the party.  And no doubt with Mihawk’s treasures in mind.  So, he drew his blade.
“Show yourself,” he called out to the empty room.  And yet, silence.  Zoro looked all around the piano.  Still nothing, “I said, show yourself!”
And yet, the still silence remained.  Zoro sat on the bench, still not sure where the music came from.  He put his fingers to the keys.  Where was it coming from?  Am I finally losing it?  There was a piano playing in here, right?  Clearly, there’s a piano.  But who was playing it?  Zoro let it go and rested his head on the keys, letting out a messy chord.  Whoever it was, at least I get some peace and quiet for a change.  I told you already, Mihawk.  This party was pointless.  I need the rest more than I need to socialize.  But just as Zoro sat back up, a sudden chill ran through his head.
“Soft…” a voice echoed through the mostly empty room.
“Who are you?” Zoro stood up and drew his blade, “Show yourself!”
“Soft…” the voice spoke again, “Like moss…”
“I said, show yourself!” Zoro spun his blade, waiting for someone to show up, “I won’t ask again.”
“I heard you the first time,” the voice moaned, “I can’t help it.  I’m shy.”
“Then, tell me who you are,” Zoro looked around for where the voice was coming from and yet…There was no one there.
“I guess it’d be rude of me not to talk to you face to face,” the voice finally took form on the piano.  A man, “You’re easily worked up, mosshead.  Did you know that?”
Zoro had seen a lot in his time.  But never did he see someone apparate out of thin air, “Where the fuck did you come from?!”
“Thank you for proving my point,” he laughed, “Like I said, you’re easily worked up.  And if I didn’t know any better, I’d think you just saw a ghost.”
“I…” Zoro blinked a couple times, still coming to grips with what he just saw, “I…Are you a ghost?”
“Unfortunately,” his incorporeal legs dangled over the edge of the piano, “I am sorry if I startled you.  But your piano was too pretty to pass up.  Do you live here?”
“Last time I checked,” Zoro backed away, “I’m almost positive there’s a priest downstairs.  You need to go.”
“No…” the ghost begged, “Please.  I don’t want to go yet.  I heard the party downstairs and…It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a good party.”
“Who are you?” Zoro asked, “There’s no way you’re just some random ghost that busted into Mihawk’s house like this.”
“Mihawk…Mihawk…” the ghost thought it over, “No.  Sorry.  Not ringing any bells.  But you think I could see?”
“See what?” Zoro scoffed, “Mihawk’s sham of a party?”
“Sham?” he wondered, “What makes it a sham, mosshead?”
“Would you quit calling me that?” Zoro rolled his eyes.
“And I’ll tell you mine if you’ll tell me yours,” the ghost laid on his stomach, his elbows up on the back of the piano, “Deal?”
“Why should I tell you my name?” Zoro argued, “I’m not the one who lured me up here.”
“Did you like it?” the ghost asked, “It got a little heavy toward its end, but someone was coming and I figured I’d get out as much as I could.”
“Not really my thing,” Zoro brushed him off, “It’s Zoro, by the way.  Roranoa Zoro.”
“Sounds like a mouthful,” the ghost rolled over to his back, “Tell you what.  If you bring me down to that party you say is downstairs, I’ll tell you my name.”
“That wasn’t our deal,” Zoro pointed out, “You said you’d tell me yours if I told you mine.”
“So, I’m renegotiating a little,” he shrugged, “Come on, Zoro.  Please?  I’ve been up here for a thousand years and I’d love to see a good party.”
“Have you really?” Zoro asked, “You’ve been a ghost for that long?”
“Not really,” he giggled under his breath, “I’ve only been like this for the last couple years.”
“And,” Zoro started to relax a bit more, sitting back down at the piano, “What happened?  If you don’t mind me asking.”
“I got stuck on a rock in the middle of the ocean,” he told him, “And I didn’t have anyone to come rescue me.  It was a long few months being out there, but now, I’m free.  I can come and go through here all I want.  And no one’s going to tell me no.”
“What if I told you no?” Zoro argued.
“But you won’t.  Do you know how I know that?”
‘How?”
“Because,” the ghost smiled, “You haven’t looked away from me for the last ten minutes.  If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you thought I was cute.”
“Please,” Zoro shook him off, “Why would I think that?”
“Because I am cute,” the ghost retaliated, “I mean…Come on, Zoro.  Look at me.”
“Yeah,” Zoro scoffed, “I’m sure you had all the ladies swoon over you in your living life.”
“You’d be amazed,” he got up from the piano, “Would you feel more comfortable if I was more tangible?”
“What do you mean?” Zoro looked at the ghost strangely, “You can do that?”
“Of course, I can,” the ghost’s translucency went away as he sat on the bench next to Zoro and held his hand, “See?  I’m just as solid as you are.  Truly, mosshead, I’m starting to think I’m the first ghost you ever met.”
“You wouldn’t be wrong,” Zoro got up from the bench and checked the liquor cabinet.  And came up short, “Damn…”
“What?”
“I was looking for a drink,” Zoro told him, “But it looks like I have to go downstairs for that.”
“And I could come with you,” the ghost insisted, doing a little spin, showing off his dark, pinstriped suit, “It’s not like I’m not dressed for the occasion.  Please?  I just want one party.”
Zoro wanted to go back to the party like he wanted to be shot in his foot.  But his curiosity got the better of him.  All he wanted was to know who haunted the halls of Mihawk’s mansion.  And if that meant him going back to the party, then so be it.  But that would come with some stipulations, “If we go down there, are other people going to be able to see you?”
“Just as much as you can see me now,” he nodded, “They’ll also be able to feel me, too.  I’ll be just as tangible as anyone else in the room.  They’ll have no idea I’m a ghost.”
“And,” Zoro went on, “What will you being at this party entail?”
“I just want to go to this party,” the ghost fell back over the piano, “Is that so much to ask?”
“It’s one of Mihawk’s parties,” Zoro grumbled under his breath, “So, yes.  It is.  Fine.  I’ll take you downstairs.”
“Wonderful!” he hopped down from the piano, “Let’s go!”
Zoro knew he’d live to regret this night, but if it meant him having Mihawk out of his hair, he’d be alright with it.  And so, the two went back downstairs to the ballroom where the hustle and bustle seemed to only get bigger.  Zoro rolled his eyes at the spectacle.  Great.  Just wonderful.  And yet, he looked over at the ghost, who couldn’t have been more thrilled to see such a beautiful ballroom.  The food, the string quartet, the people, the dancing.  It all completely swooned him.
“Zoro…” the ghost took his hand, “Thank you.  I don’t think you realize it, but this is the best gift you could’ve given me.”
And in that moment, there was a strange tug in Zoro’s chest.  One that he didn’t know was possible.  But it managed to force a smile onto his face, “You’re welcome.  I’m glad I could do this for you.”
“And I know it’s making you uncomfortable,” the ghost took his arm, “But really.  It’s not going unappreciated.”
“Don’t mention it,” Zoro shook him off, “I’m going to go get a drink.  Can you do that?”
“I can,” the ghost nodded, “If it’s not too much trouble, cabernet.”
“What the hell is cabernet?”
“Oh, dear, sweet Zoro,” the ghost teased him, “It’s the one in the pretty black bottle.  Probably with a red label.  Says cabernet on it.  Maybe even Cabernet Sauvignon.  You can read, can’t you?”
“Of course, I can read!” Zoro snapped, “And now that I’m thinking about it, I brought you to your party.  You still haven’t told me your name.”
“My memory’s a little fuzzy,” the ghost sighed out, “Maybe a little red will bring it to light.”
Great.  This one thinks he’s funny.  I’m keeping you away from the actual clown here.  Regardless of Zoro’s opinions, he was still a man on a mission.  And there was a beautiful bottle of sake sitting unattended on the top shelf.  And next to it were all of Mihawk’s wines.  Zoro skimmed through the labels, hoping to find one that said cabernet on it.  Fortunately, a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon sat on the shelf.  He let out a little sigh of relief as he poured a glass for his new…friend.  Or the ghost that seemed to attach himself to Zoro.  And he knew the rest of the night would be miserable, so Zoro just grabbed the sake bottle.
“Here,” Zoro sat at his spot at the table and put the wine in front of him, “I got your stupid wine.”
“Mm…” the ghost picked up his glass and meticulously studied his wine.
“What?” Zoro scoffed, “Afraid I poisoned it?  You’re already a ghost.  Why would I do that?”
“Because you’re a sadist?” the ghost assumed.
“I’m not a sadist,” Zoro took a heavy drink straight from the bottle.
“Fine, fine,” the ghost backed off, “But…I suppose I couldn’t trouble you for a dance, could I?”
“You said you wanted your party,” Zoro pointed out, “You didn’t say anything about me having to participate.”
“Please, Mossy?” the ghost begged, “If you dance with me, I’ll tell you my name.”
“Uh-huh,” Zoro rolled his eyes, “You also said you’d tell me your name if I brought you to this party.  And you’d tell me your name if I got you your wine.  Why should I believe you’ll tell me your name if I give you a dance?”
“Because,” the ghost rested his head on Zoro’s shoulder, “I asked nicely for that dance.  And I swear on my past life and my current one that I will tell you my name.  But you have to dance with me.”
Zoro hated his own curiosity.  But he wasn’t going to break.  Instead, he just got up from the table, “I’m going to go get some air.”
“Wait, Zoro,” the ghost called after him, “Don’t go.”
“Don’t follow me,” Zoro took the bottle with him, “I don’t need this party.  I don’t need the socializing like Mihawk said.  And I sure as hell don’t need to be jerked around by some fucking ghost.”
“Zoro…”
But Zoro was already gone.  Lost in the crowd.  He really did just need to get some air.  Something about the gardens were quite peaceful.  Zoro found himself under the gazebo and sat on the cold ground.  It’s just some damn ghost.  Why am I letting him get to me so much?  Zoro knew the reason.  Zoro knew exactly what it was.  And he hated himself for thinking it.  Because it meant proving Mihawk right.  It’s because it’s not her.  I would’ve thought if I had a ghost attached to me, it’d be Kuina.  Why?  Why does it have to be him?  I don’t even know what his name is.  Why is he getting to me this bad?
“Zoro…” a familiar voice floated through the air.
“I thought I told you not to follow me,” Zoro grumbled.
“I know,” the ghost sat with him, “Why’d you run off?”
“I had a lot on my mind,” Zoro kept cryptic, “I needed somewhere to make it all stop for a while.”
“If it was because of me,” the ghost took his hands, “I’m sorry.  I really don’t mean to jerk you around like that.  It’s just been a while since I had anyone do anything for me.  I liked it a little too much.”
“Oh,” Zoro let it go.  But there was a sense of peace in his thoughts again.  And the music drifted outside.  Zoro got back on his feet and offered the ghost his hand.
“What’s this for?”
“What else?” Zoro shrugged, “You did say you’d give me your name if I gave you a dance.”
“Oh?” the ghost managed to muster up a smile, “Alright.  But ask me properly.”
“What?” Zoro looked at him strangely, “What do you mean, ask you properly?  Do you want to dance or not?”
“Wow,” the ghost giggled a bit, “What a gentleman.  Hard to believe you haven’t been married off ten times over by now.”
“The sarcasm is not appreciated,” Zoro took the ghost’s hand and pulled him a little closer.
“Alright,” the ghost teased him, “I see someone’s not feeling shy anymore.”
“You’re pushing it.”
“Sorry, sorry,” the ghost reveled in the feeling of someone else’s touch.  And in Zoro’s movements, “Hey…Mossy…Can I ask you something?”
“What?” Zoro started to relax a little more, the sake finally hitting his bloodstream.
“Do you think…” the ghost nestled his head in Zoro’s shoulder, “Maybe we met in a past life?”
“I don’t know,” Zoro spun him around, “Maybe.  How do you think we met?”
“I don’t know,” the ghost thought it over, “Maybe we met on a boat.  A big boat.  With a restaurant on it.”
“Maybe we hated each other.”
“But maybe…We didn’t.”
“What?” Zoro wondered, “You think we were friends?”
“I think we were more than that,” the ghost admitted, “But you have your thoughts of our past life together and I’ll have mine.  We’ll close our eyes and pretend like both are real.”
“Who knows if our past lives together are real or not?” Zoro brushed it off, “But…We got tonight, don’t we?”
“Zoro…” the ghost awed, “That’s the sweetest thing you could’ve said to me.”
“Don’t read too much into it.” But Zoro couldn’t take his eyes off the ghost’s.  So deep, so beautiful…And his face so soft and gentle…And the ghost’s slender hips against his own…And he found his peace.
In the silence, the ghost couldn’t help himself.  He knew there was no way Zoro would make a move.  So, the ghost moved into Zoro’s face, barely an inch away.  And to his surprise, Zoro pulled the ghost in for a deep, sweet, and tender kiss.  One that put everything into alignment.  And everything would be ok.  When he pulled away, Zoro still couldn’t believe it happened.  On his list of things that could’ve happened that night, kissing a ghost in the garden was not on it.
“Zoro…” the ghost’s voice broke, “You…”
“Again,” Zoro blushed, “Don’t read too far into it.”
“Fine,” the ghost couldn’t stop smiling, “Do you really want to know what my name is that badly?”
“After that…” Zoro admitted, “I don’t even care anymore, Ghost.  Tell me.  Don’t tell me.  But…I wouldn’t say no if you wanted to do that again.”
“Well,” the ghost rocked back on his heels, “What if I wanted to?”
“Then,” Zoro thought, “I guess I’d have to prove you wrong.”
“What do you mean?”
Zoro pulled the ghost back in, his kiss getting deeper, his tongue finding its way into the ghost’s mouth, “I can be a gentleman if I want to be one.”
“Is that so?” the ghost melted inside, “Why couldn’t I have met you in my living life?”
“Because,” Zoro pointed out, “Then, I would’ve had to mourn you twice.”
“Zoro…” the ghost gave him one last little kiss, “My name is Sanji.”
Secrets: Vinsmoke Sanji x Roronoa Zoro (ZoSan)
Tags: Friends with benefits relationship between Zoro and Nami, body swap, morally dubious!Sanji, penetrative sex, oral sex, squirting, and switch!Zoro (kinda)
Tumblr media
When Sanji first swapped bodies with Nami, he was elated. He experienced a euphoria he never thought possible; with a female body, he could stare at himself and feel a sense of joy he had never felt before. It was a weird sense of pride and happiness.
But then Zoro had to ruin it.
After the groups reunited, Zoro motioned Sanji over.
“C’mere,” The swordsman gruffly speaks, pulling Sanji by his suddenly delicate wrist once he was within grabbing distance.
“Quit being so rough!” Sanji barks, not wanting that idiot to bruise Nami’s delicate skin.
“Keep quiet, woman.” He hisses, dragging Sanji behind the laboratory, “And since when were you picky about how rough I am with you?”
Sanji tsks and snatches his hand away from Zoro, “What do you want-“
Zoro narrows his eyes, “Why are you wearing that shitty cook’s jacket? Didn’t I tell you to stop looking for his attention?”
Sanji opens his lips to speak, but Zoro slams his hand against the wall, leaning closer to Sanji. The chef’s face flushed when Zoro leaned in closer, speaking through his teeth.
“Damn woman,” he hissed, “You never listen to me…”
Sanji wants to say that Nami shouldn’t have to obey his barbaric demands and that a woman has her own agency and can do what she wants. But Zoro’s following words cause him to falter.
“You’re so lucky I love brats like you.”
Before Sanji can respond, Zoro’s lips are attacking his neck. Sanji’s legs go weak, and his brain short-circuits.
What the fuck?
Sanji pushes Zoro away, his cheeks bright red as he clutches his chest.
“W-What do you think you’re doing?!”
Zoro smirks, “Punishing you for wearing his dumb jacket. What, playing hard to get today? You know I love when you do that…”
Zoro growls lowly before smashing his lips against Sanji’s (or rather Nami’s), and his body doesn’t know how to respond. His hands are awkwardly raised before him, fingertips hovering over Zoro’s chest. Meanwhile, Zoro’s hands unbutton the jacket, removing it from Sanji’s person and tossing it to the snowy ground.
As Zoro kissed him, Sanji remembered one thing: Zoro had fallen asleep during the explanation of what had happened to their bodies.
He must’ve genuinely thought he was Nami.
Zoro whispers into Sanji’s ear, “Not even kissing me back… and after we’ve been fucking like rabbits since the crew reunited…”
Sanji practically chokes on his spit.
Fucking? And like rabbits? He’s trying to figure it all out, wondering just how long Nami and Zoro have been a thing, but Zoro has other plans, shoving Nami’s bikini top out of the way, making Sanji’s new breasts fall out from the fabric.
“Let’s make this one quick.”
“W-Wait, I’m not N-!”
Sanji moans as Zoro leans down and takes one of his nipples into his mouth. His warm tongue sucks and swirls around the bud, his large, rough hands gripping Sanji’s waist.
Sanji tries to push him away, but his grip is firm, and he only laughs when resistance is presented.
“Stop it, you brute!” Sanji squeals in his feminine voice, but Zoro keeps sucking on his breast.
Sanji’s legs buckle and his chest tightens.
He can’t deny that it feels good; Nami’s nipples are much more sensitive than his own. And Zoro’s warm tongue stimulates him in all the best ways. As the green-haired man pleases him, he feels his panties grow wet. The feeling is strange, not something he’s used to with his new genitalia, but it’s so amazing, so unlike anything he’s ever felt before.
“Shut up,” Zoro growls, “You know you like it.”
Sanji’s throat dries.
Okay, so apparently, Zoro and Nami have been jumping each other’s bones at least since a few weeks ago. But did he really talk to her like this? Was he so rough, so stoic all the time? Or is it because he thinks that he’s playing hard to get? Was this the kind of thing Nami liked?
Sanji’s thinking is cut short as Zoro’s hands reach for his jeans’ front buttons.
The chef gulps as Zoro unbuttons them, his dark eyes watching closely.
Zoro pulls the tight jeans and skimpy panties down to Sanji’s thighs, and the swordsman kneels before him, pressing wet kisses to his thighs. Sanji’s hand clasps over his mouth as the other man’s lips travel closer and closer to his crotch.
Eventually, warm lips place a delicate kiss on his clit, and the chef moans as his cunt throbs. He never expected that a pussy could be so sensitive.
Suddenly, he doesn’t want to stop the swordsman.
Zoro’s tongue flicks out from his lips, licking a stripe up his new slit. Sanji’s head tilts back against the laboratory’s walls, a familiar warmth trickling from his nose.
Zoro glances up at him and chuckles, “You’re starting to look like that shitty cook.”
Sanji wipes his nose with the back of his arm. He squeals as Zoro suddenly latches onto his clit and begins to suck, his warm hands stroking his upper thigh.
Wow, this is what it felt like to be eaten out.
Sanji was in absolute bliss, enjoying this new experience.
It made him wonder what sex would feel like with this body.
But as soon as he has that thought, he shuts it down. He couldn’t do this, not now and definitely not with Zoro.
But… maybe he could enjoy the great head he was getting just a little bit longer.
Zoro’s tongue is sloppy, his movements hurried and passionate as he laps his slit. Sanji’s legs shake as he feels something bubbling up within him. Zoro coos quietly, pressing another kiss to his slit, “That’s it, cum for me.”
He resumes his assault, sucking and licking at Sanji’s swollen clit. The cook bites his lip as he attempts to keep quiet, but sounds still escape his lips as he approaches the edge.
“C-Cumming-“he gasps, “I-I’m-!”
Sanji’s vision blacks out momentarily as it hits him all at once. No longer is he worried about keeping quiet; he just lets his moans flow freely from his lips. His legs are quivering, and his chest feels tight as he attempts to catch his breath.
“Good girl,” Zoro chuckles, kissing his slit once more before standing up and ordering, “Put your hands against the wall and bend over.”
Sanji, too blissed out to care about any of the reservations he previously had, obeys Zoro’s words, presenting his pink pussy to the swordsman.
Zoro growls and uses his thumbs to spread Sanji’s lips apart. The cook whimpers as he feels his hole flutter around nothing, his pussy desperately needing something inside. He ached for Zoro; he needed him.
“Zoro,” Sanji whines, “Please-“
Zoro laughs before sliding his cock between Sanji’s legs, the head pressing against his throbbing clit. The green-haired man rocks his hips back and forth, grinding his shaft against the cook’s slick folds.
“You’re so wet today,” he chuckles, “Looks like I wasn’t the only one craving this, huh? Look at how your body reacts to me.”
“Mm-“Sanji turns his head back to face the swordsman as he prods at his wet hole, “Just put it in already-“
Zoro laughs before slamming in without warning. Sanji’s eyes roll back, and Zoro coos, “Oh, you’ve never made that face before. C’mere,”
With one hand on Sanji’s hips, Zoro brings the other to take his jaw in hand, kissing him deeply. Sanji moans into it as Zoro hammers away, each thrust hitting him in all the right ways.
“F-Fuck-“Sanji breathes out against his lips, “You fucking a-animal-“
Zoro gives a cocky smirk, pressing a quick kiss to Sanji’s lips, “Feels good?”
“Yes-“He drawls out, his nails dragging against the laboratory’s wall. “S-So, so good- Ngh-“
Sanji desperately reaches between his legs and rubs his clit quickly, his eyes crossing as the pleasure overwhelms him. Zoro kept thrusting his hips, skin slapping against skin echoing in the air. Their breath fans their faces as they lock eyes, lips dangerously close.
This sort of pleasure was overwhelming. Sanji had never felt this good before. A familiar tingling sensation snuck up on him.
“Cumming-!” Sanji squeals, his pussy constricting and throbbing before squirting all over Zoro. That causes the tanned man to stop for a moment before slowly thrusting in and out of the gushing hole.
“Holy shit,” he says breathlessly, “You’ve… never done that before.”
Sanji whimpers pathetically before his legs buckle. Zoro pulls out and gently guides Sanji onto his knees, stroking his cock slowly as his other hand tucks Sanji’s lengthy hair behind his ear, “Shit, Nami, you’re so sensitive today-“
Sanji, with a shaky hand, reaches back to grab Zoro’s shaft, guiding it to his pussy, his voice wavering, “More-“
Zoro smugly smirks, and Sanji almost regrets being so desperate. He’s soiling Nami’s reputation as strong and unwavering, but damn it, it’s better than him in his own body begging for Zoro. And at this point, he can’t stop himself; his needy pussy is dripping onto the ground below, and it needs Zoro’s cock.
“Beg for- “
“Please-“Sanji interrupts, bumping his hips back against the blunt head of his cock, the tip slipping in, “Fuck me already, you damn brute! I need your cock!”
Zoro’s eyes are wide, surprised, “Goddamn, you never beg like th-“
Sanji makes a frustrated sound before bucking his hips, taking Zoro in one smooth motion. Zoro lets out a shocked grunt, his hands hovering over Sanji’s hips as he frantically fucks himself on Zoro’s cock.
“S-Shit-“ Zoro groans, still shocked at Sanji’s eagerness. He watches, absolutely hypnotized by how his ass bounces against his dick. The swordsman simply leans back, admiring the view as Sanji lets out animalistic moans and squeaks below him.
“So good, a-ah-!” Sanji drools, his nose beginning to bleed again as he works his hips back onto Zoro. His toes curl, and he mewls as his hands find themselves on his hips again. Though, to his surprise, they aren’t guiding him; they’re trying to get him to stop.
“Fuck, you’re gonna make me cum-“Zoro’s voice breaks, “S-Slow down- I gotta pull out-!”
Sanji doesn’t listen; he just keeps fucking Zoro, his gigantic cock slamming into his furthest walls.
“S-Shit, woman, stop-!” Zoro holds Sanji’s hips still, pulling his cock out just in time as hot spurts of cum decorate Sanji’s ass.
Zoro’s left panting, his cheeks bright red as he looks down at the mess he’s made, with rings of cream built up around his base.
Sanji, mind clouded by lust, reaches back and slides him back inside. Zoro lets out a guttural moan, “They’re gonna ask where we are- fuck- let’s save it for later-“
Sanji knew he was asking for trouble, but he didn’t know how long he would be in Nami’s body. He had to take advantage.
“Just shut up- “Sanji whines, wriggling his hips, “We’re not done until I say we are-“
Zoro’s face up to his ears turns crimson, his eyes widened in shock, “Yes, ma’am.”
ZOSAN KINKTOBER DAY 1 - SCENT
Hey yall, i know it's actually october 3rd BUT that just means that there's gonna be three fics posted today. Also this version is unbeta'd but the corrected version will be up on my ao3! Love yall, and enjoy!! ______
After Sanji finishes prepping lunch and dinner, he pokes his head out of the galley doorway to bark at Zoro to wake the fuck up because his food is in the fridge. However, he’s not in his usual napping spot. Which is strange, because the marimo never moves unless he’s working out in the crows’ nest. Sanji spares a glance up there as well, but he can’t see any movement. Whatever, he doesn’t care what Zoro does with his time anyway. Sanji just wants to take a nap before he needs to slave over the fucking stove making lunch for fifteen people (six and a half of which are Luffy.)
He heads into the men’s bunkroom, intending to collapse on his bed til’ about six pm. But instead stumbles upon something very very strange.
Zoro is standing right next to Sanji’s bed, gripping onto a jacket– Sanji’s jacket– like a lifeline with his nose buried into the fabric, taking deep breaths. His eyes are closed, so he doesn’t see Sanji gaping in the doorway like an idiot– wait no, Sanji isn’t the idiot in this situation. That’s besides the point, what the fuck is Zoro doing?
Is Sanji shocked? Well, yes, but there’s also a sense of smug curiosity buried in there for some ungodly reason. Zoro’s always had a keen sense of smell, Sanji sees it in the way he cringes at brussels sprouts cooking from all the way in the crows’ nest or how he always can tell when a storm is brewing even with his eyes closed. Which makes it all the more puzzling to see Zoro, standing there, sniffing Sanji’s fucking jacket like it’s the first breath of air he’s taken in years.
“Can you tell?” Sanji asks, because for some reason impulse won over and he couldn’t be assed to say ‘what the actual fuck are you doing you freak’ like a normal person probably would. Zoro’s eyes fly open at the sound of Sanji’s voice, startled grey darting to look in the doorway while he’s still nose-deep in Sanji’s jacket.
Zoro says something, but Sanji can’t hear because he’s still muffled by the fabric and that’s doing something to Sanji for some godforsaken reason and-
“I bought something new. Today, I mean.” Sanji needs to shut his mouth, because now Zoro is looking at him like he’s got three damn heads. “Cologne.”
“…Oh.” Zoro slowly brings Sanji’s jacket away from his face, Looking less like he’s been caught red-handed and just, very, very confused. “Okay.”
“Nice, right? I got it from that tiny stall on the coast.”
“Yeah. S’nice.” Zoro says, now clutching Sanji’s suit jacket in one hand as the other comes to swipe over his mouth. “You, uh, smell different.”
“You think I smell nice?” And that gets him the barest of flustered nods. Since Sanji’s already dug himself into a hole he can't get out of, he gives into curiosity and moves further into the room to rest his back against the wall. “It’s better when it’s on me, you know.”
“Huh. Really?”
“Yeah. C’mere.”
before Sanji can actually process what just came out of his own mouth there's a hand at his chin nudging his face up so his neck is exposed, plush lips brushing against his collarbone as Zoro closes his eyes and breathes him in. He can’t stop the choked dound he lets out at the sudden movement, and zoro responds in kind, curling his arms around Sanji’s midsection and pulling him closer. closer.
Zoro’s gripping the back of his shirt now, pressing his face as far as it can go into the junction between Sanji’s head and neck, taking heavy breaths that send heat roiling in Sanji’s stomach. He shifts his leg to settle in between Zoro’s thighs and the swordsman rolls his hips, pressing his erection into Sanji’s thigh with a strangled curse and Sanji doesn’t think blood has ever traveled do his dick faster.
“Fuck, Zoro–”
“Off, take this shit off,” Zoro breathes, his hands coming to trace Sanji’s chest before he pops three of the fucking buttons off of Sanjji’s shirt. Normally, Sanji would be pissed, but he can’t seem to focus on anything except how good Zoro’s tongue feels as he laps up the sweat pooled in sanji’s clavicle. oro moves to grab the back of Sanji’s neck , and then he’s being pulled into a harsh kiss, gasping into Zoro’s mouth because he can taste his own sweat on Zoro’s tongue and all he wants is more.
They’re grinding against each other now, and Zoro won’t stop mouthing on his chest and neck like he wants to swallow him whole. “This really does it for you, huh?” Sanji askes belatedly, carding a hand through Zoro’s hair from where his head rests on Sanji’s shoulder.
“Shut the fuck up,” Zoro hisses. “F— yes.” And the admisson sends Shivers down Sanji’s spine. “You smell like cigarettes all the time and whatever prissy shit you spray over it drives me fucking crazy.”
And now, out of all times, is when Sanji finds himself flushed. “Good to know.” He snakes an arm down to palm Zoro and the Swordsman’s hips stutter, chasing the pressure of Sanji’s hand.
“Dont stop,” Zoro’s breath hitches on the last syllable as Sanji strokes him, strong hands gliding over his chest before gripping onto his shoulders. It doesn’t take long before he finishes, spilling into Sanji’s hand with a strangled groan.
Neither of them move, for a moment after, Zoro panting heavy breaths into the Crook of Sanji’s neck,
“….Do I really smell like cigarettes?”
“Fuck off.”
_____________
Grabbing the ropes that were used to tie you up Zoro pulls his sword out of Percy's hip causing a wave of pain and a scream to leave the young man's body, the swordsman forces him onto his stomach tying his hands behind his back and bringing Percy's legs up, so he can hog tie the young man. Percy yells out in pain from his hip being moved while trying to struggle but can't do much with the swordsman's strength, pulling the ropes even tighter Zoro smirks before leaning down to look at the young man's bloodied face "Comfortable?" The green haired man asks in a sarcastic tone earning an angry glare from Percy who spits at the swordsman, Zoro wipes his cheek seeing the spit slightly red before punching the young man in the face and digging his fingers into the wound on his hip. Percy yells out in pain his body struggling to get away from the green haired man "I thought you were gonna kill me not torture me" The young man yells turning his head to try and look at the swordsman behind him who chuckles standing to his feet after wiping the blood off his hand on the young man's back, placing one of his feet on the young man's back pushing down slightly to keep him there "I can do both" twisting his foot into the mans back Zoro growls thinking of all the ways he'll make the young man pay only to hear the man under him laugh. Sanji turns to look at Percy in confusion taking the cloth he was using to clean up the dried blood on your skin and throwing it at Percy hitting his head "What the hell are you laughing at? Asshole" The cook yells before turning back to you and taking off his jacket to lay it over your slightly cold body.
Percy turns his head to look at the cook and your body, his eyes slightly dulled, he wants to pass out from the pain but manages pushes through it, so he can give the two men a piece of his mind "You really want to keep her, don't you? You'll do anything, even kill someone so that she won't leave you. I have to admit you have good control over her, not even i could convince her to leave" Zoro grits his teeth as he kneels down pressing his knee in between Percy's shoulder blades and grabbing the mans hair pulling to force his head back "You have a fucked up mind don't you! but your right" Leaning down the swordsman growls catching Sanji's attention who looks over wondering what his lover is on about but his heart jumps for joy at Zoro's next words making his stomach flutter "I'll kill anyone to keep her safe especially from creeps like you. I'll do anything to keep my partners safe and happy, no one will ever control them or make them feel less than perfect.. I'll cut down who ever does that without a second thought" Percy groans in pain as the swordsman pulls harder on his hair driving his knee into the young man's back while ripping some of his hair out of his scalp. Even though his words were aggressive it warms your heart to hear them as you wake up, your eyes opening to see the dark area around you, the bushes around Zoro and Percy light up at any slight touch showing the passion their in and the pain the swordsman is causing.
Sighing in relief that the situation is over your body starts to relax glad that your boys are here, your sigh gets Sanji's attention his hand quickly ruffling the bush nearby showing your eyes open and look up at him "Oh! My love, it's ok, we're here now, we've got you" The cook smiles as his hands cup your jaw line starting to place kisses all over your face, you want to move to reach up and touch him but your arms refuse instead you let out a soft hum taking in each feeling of his lips. Zoro quickly turns hearing the blonde fawn over your still body, but he can tell your awake by the small laugh you let as the cook peppers your face in kisses. "Y/n, you ha-" Percy yells trying to get your attention only for Zoro to shove his head into the dirt. "Shut up, I'll deal with you later" The swordsman growls pushing up and off the young man to make his way over to you, Sanji pulls away from kissing your face seeing your sweet smile yet sad eyes looking up at him "I-i'm sorry" You manage to get out through a dry throat and chapped lips, the cook shakes his head as Zoro kneels down next to him the swordsman takes your hand in his giving your knuckles a firm kiss "It's ok my love, are you hurt?" Sanji asks his hand brushing through your hair, closing your eyes for a few seconds you take in the feeling of their warmth and comfort managing to calm yourself even though you feel like all this is your fault "No.. I-i can't.. Move" Zoro nods already knowing you can't otherwise you would have already, he's still slightly angry that you got in this position, but he'll talk about it later, for how he needs to make sure your safe.
Sanji bends down placing a kiss on your cheek "It's ok love, Chopper has a cure back on the ship and if that doesn't work we can always kiss you" The cook jokes with a big smile hoping to lighten the mood, you and Zoro both let out a laugh at his suggestion but while Zoro thought the fairy tail was stupid you thought it was sweet. You consider them your true loves so maybe the kiss would work, before you can voice it though Percy laughs out in a dry and sarcastic way only to stop when he slightly rolls onto his injured hip causing pain to shoot though his body "That won't work… I thought it might be true but i guess its just a fairy tail" You can't help but get angry at Percy's words remembering what happened and how you bit his lip to stop the unwanted kiss, Zoro's growl in anger tightening his hand around yours making you realize that he already knows. A pit forms in your stomach wondering if he'll be mad at you even though you tried to stop it and fight back. Sanji turns raising an eyebrow at the young mans words unsure of what he meant by that, letting go of your face the cook stands making his way over to the tied up man "What?" The cook growls stopping next to the man, gulping you go to call out to the blonde when Zoro places his hand on your cheek shaking his head, secretly telling you not to get involved and that Sanji needs a moment to get his anger out. "Jealous are we?" Percy asks with a smug smile looking up at Sanji who's eyes widen at seeing his bloodied and torn lip now that he's much closer, rage, hurt and sadness for you builds up inside him at the realization of what Percy has done to you and why your lips were bloody.
Blood splatters onto the grass as Sanji kicks the young man in the side as hard as he can, the force of his kick causes Percy to cough out blood as he's sent flying through a tree nearby. Gasping your eyes widen at how angry the cook is while Zoro covers your body with his own, the tree Percy was kicked though snaps in half and falls to one side luckily missing everyone, Black leaves float to the ground as some glow fruit that were once hanging so high up drop to the ground around you. Sanji pants though gritted teeth his gaze never leaving the young man's who's gasping for air while laying on some fruit bushes that light up his body in a blue hue. "S-Sanji" You call out hating to see the cook in such an angry state, but he ignores you or can't hear you over his own pounding heart and heavy breathing, Zoro runs his hand along you cheek the glow fruit splattered around lighting up the area making it clear to the swordsman how worried you look "He'll be fine" The swordsman whispers placing a kiss on your forehead, Sanji storms over to Percy and kicks him out of the bush and into the tree stump forcing the air to yet again leave the young man's lungs. "You bastard, you never force a lady to do anything. You had no right to even put your hands on her let alone try and kiss her" The cook yells his eyes burning with pure rage, he'd be mad if this happened to any girl but with you, it made him even more anger, more enraged to the point where he didn't have a name for what he was feeling. Percy spits out blood while trying to get his breath back, his bare arms are cut up due to the rough tree bark and his insides feel like mush from the hard kicks, his back throbs starting to stiffen making it hard to move anything, he can't do anything as the cook walks over.
Your surprised the two haven't killed him yet, it makes you wonder what they have planned or if someone told them not too, either way you just wanted this to be over, you want to go back to the sunny. "Zo… please" You beg looking up at the swordsman who's been watching Sanji kick Percy's ass with a smile on his face clearly glad that the cook is getting his anger out "What is it baby?" Zoro asks turning to look at you with slight worry, he can't tell what you want but its clear that your tired "I-i want… to go… Sunny" You manage to get out hoping he will understand what you mean, luckily he does, giving you a quick nod he turns to look at Sanji again seeing he's still yelling and some times stomping on the young man "Sanji, Let get going, we can deal with him later" Zoro yells out finally catching the blonde's attention, sighing Sanji runs a hand though his hair while walking over to the two of you "You carry her, I'll carry him, we'll deal with him back on the sunny" Zoro goes to stand as Sanji bends down but you call out stopping the two "Wait… C-can you?" You ask as a bright blush spreads across your face, you don't care if the true loves kiss thing is real or not you just miss them, you want to feel their lips on yours "What do you need by Love?" Sanji asks stroking the side of your face with a small smile as Zoro kneels back down, taking your hand on his "Can.. You kiss.. Me?" You finally manage to ask although you can't tell if its because of the drugs or because your embarrassed to ask.
The two give you a big smile before looking at each other somehow secretly communicating with each other "I-it won't work, Y/n." Percy yells out while still trying to catch his breath as he lies on his side pressed up against the tree stump "I don't… care" You whisper mainly to your boys, the two nod bending down to you causing a smile to form on your face as their lips hover over yours for a second. Sanji's hand cups your face letting his thumb run over your cheek as Zoro's hand runs up your arm and too your neck his thumb rubbing some of the bruising but it doesn't hurt, in fact it feels soothing. Their lips meet yours in a three way kiss making your chest warm up at the feeling of their love and comfort, you can't help but moan a little into them earning a slight chuckle from the swordsman. A tongue runs over yours and Sanji's lips asking for more from the two of you which your willing to give, opening your mouth you let your tongue meet his soon joined by the cooks, un-continuously your hands start to move each one shakily running up their backs and into their hair slightly gripping to keep them close to you. Pulling away for air you smile up at the two now realizing where your hands are, your still finding it hard to move your legs but at least you have control over your arms a bit more. "No! No, thats impossible" Percy yells his eyes wide at seeing you able to move after their kiss, Sanji lets out a laugh hardly able to believe it actually worked, his hands takes yours off his head and holds it close to his chest while placing kisses on your cheek "Oh! Mi amour" Tears of joy form in the blondes eyes, but he doesn't let them fall instead continuing to kiss around your cheek and jawline. Leaning into his kisses your smile gets bigger hardly able to believe it works too but your glad since it shows how you really feel about them.
Zoro hovers over you with a look of shock unable to process what just happened and how this even worked, sliding your hand from out of his green hair you place it on his cheek feeling his warm soft skin "Don't look so surprised Hunk. I've always considered the two of you to be my only true loves" You giggle in happiness, the firefly like lights in your vision start to fade away letting you see your lovers very clearly as they hover over you "Such a sap" The swordsman mumbles bending down and pressing his head into your neck to hide the blush that is forming on his cheeks, you hum in delight as the green haired man lightly kisses your neck. Sanji's smile somehow gets wider causing his red blushing cheeks to puff up "You are my true loves too" The cook whispers bending down and placing a kiss on your lips that you try and lean into but still find it hard to sit yourself up, the blonde hums into the kiss while wrapping his arm under you helping you sit up a little. "Lets get you back to the ship" Zoro pulls away from your neck as Sanji breaks the kiss but before the swordsman can stand the cook grabs his kimono pulling him in crashing his lips onto the green haired man's, your eyes soften as the two boys melt into each other clearly relived that its all over. Zoro breaks the kiss but lingers a little over the cooks lips before turning to you, you tilt your head in confusion unable to read his now blank face, as he leans closer you can't help but gulp in anticipation waiting for anything to happen, he could be mad at you or worried or even so lost in thought he's face doesn't know what emotion to show.
The swordsman hovers over your lips while his hand runs though your hair, his sharp eye looks into your own making your breath hitch in your throat "You did a good job" Zoro whispers his other hand moving up your side holding you in place, Sanji sighs leaning back and letting the swordsman have this moment, the cook knows what's going on, he's seen it before. "You fought back despite everything being against you. I was so mad with you thinking you drunk something he made you but, you didn't did you?" Zoro asks already knowing the answer, shaking your head unable to form words as your eyes widen in shock at the tears welling up in his eye, he's never cried before so you don't know whether to comfort him or just let him let it out. "I was so fucking worried about you, I couldn't stop thinking of how we'd find you. When your snake started growling again and then suddenly stopped… i felt my heart break, I don't fully know what he's done to you but i promise you, i won't let him touch you ever again… I love you so much, i can't imagine losing you in any way. Can you do one thing for me?" The swordsman asks his hands now cupping your cheeks while his forehead presses against yours, his eye still starting into your own as a tear slips out and down his cheek, nodding you place your hand over his slightly gripping it to let him know your here for him. "Don't let this change you. i love who you are, your kindness, your understanding. I don't want you to lose those parts of yourself because of one psychotic boy" Moving your hand to his cheek you wipe away the last few tears that fall while also trying to hold back your own, the feeling of warmth and love fills your chest at his words so you nod before leaning in to press your lips on his.
Sanji can't help but smile at the two of you, he was going to ask you that was well but can't complain since Zoro put it into words better than he ever could, plus it means more coming from the not so emotional swordsman. Percy groans rolling his eyes at the situation, he couldn't fully hear what was being said but when you kissed the swordsman that murderous look comes back, the hands behind his back tighten into fists as he struggles against the ropes anger filling his body but no matter how hard he tries the ropes won't budge. Zoro kisses back placing light kisses on your lips before pulling away letting you wipe away the last of his tears "Come on you two, lets go" The cook chuckles kissing Zoro's cheek before wrapping an arm around your back while the other goes under your legs pulling you close to him, the swordsman nods standing up and heading over to the growling and angry young man rolling him onto his front and grabbing the rope lifting him off the ground. Wrapping your arms around Sanji's neck he lifts you as he stands to his feet "Comfy?" The blonde asks adjusting you a little in his arms, laying your head on his shoulder you press your forehead into his neck feeling safe and warm in his arms, the jacket he laid over you long ago still rested over you but Sanji is much warmer than his jacket "Yes, your so warm" You whisper almost melting into him, Sanji's small laugh soon turns into a big one when seeing Zoro walk over holding Percy like a shopping bag full of food, its clearly unconformable for the young man but that doesn't bother any of you.
Trying to retrace their steps Zoro sighs in relief at seeing the surprisingly undamaged snail phone, picking it up the swordsman places it on your lap "Mind holding this babe?" You only give a hum in response before jumping at Nami's loud voice coming from the snail phone, Zoro flinched at the navigators voice surprised the call is still connected after being dropped but at least she can help them find their way back. "OH MY GODS, are you guys ok? is Y/n with you? Did you get that asshole?" Nami panics on the other end after being left handing for so long, sighing into Sanji you feel too tired to lift your head but you at least try to respond to the navigator "Hay Nam" Luckily the orange haired girl heard you indicated by her sighing in relief "Y/n's ok, although i think she just need sleep" Sanji holds you a little tighter hoping you'll give in and just fall asleep instead of trying to stay awake "We have Percy too, he's tired up and were dragging him back" Zoro smirks looking at the young man who can only groan in response using the rest of his energy to arch his back up in order to not scrape his stomach across the floor as they walk. "Tell me what you see and I'll guide you back" Nami offers seeming more relaxed now, the cook describes what's around them waiting for the navigator to figure out their location before heading in the direction she tells them too, fighting off sleep you sigh into the cooks neck trying to keep your eyes open just a little longer "My love, it's ok, you're safe with us. Please get some sleep" Sanji whispers as his thumb rubs your arm hoping to sooth you enough to sleep, with his permission you give into your body's needs and let your eyes close.
I haven't watched that much of One Piece yet, so feel free to disagree with me on this analysis, but there's one thing about people's general interpretation of Sanji as a character that drives me a little nuts. And I'm saying this because even though I'm not very far along, I got spoiled for his backstory (because I refused to stop reading fanfiction even though when I first started I was like, on episode 3).
So before you continue, there are spoilers for Sanji's past.
I think people tend to ignore that the differences between Sanji's demeanor towards men vs towards women likely partially stem from severe trauma. I don't believe his actions are entirely intrinsic, its not like he was born acting like this - nor is it an unchanging immutable fact of his character, despite what a lot of people seem to believe.
And for some context on what prompted this - I'm a sanzo/zosan shipper, so I tend to crawl through the depths of the internet looking for fun little videos and fanarts, and one consistent protest I see with this ship is "Sanji DESPISES men and WORSHIPS women, there's literally no way he could EVER be attracted to men or want to date a man he HATES them."
Which bothers me outside of any arguments about Sanji's sexuality or even about any ships - which I will get to in a second - because that interpretation of Sanji assumes his actions are just there for no reason. Sanji hates men, therefore he hates all men with no exceptions, and he will always hate men. Sanji loves all women, therefore he will always worship every single woman he meets. I dunno, I think it's just a very surface level understanding of who he is, and relies on setting a rule for no reason and just sticking to it, as if it's just a mere quirk of his character with no backing to it.
Sanji's first interaction with any people, was in the form of his biological family, as is the case with most of us. Specifically, his father and brothers, who abused him and didn't even treat him like a person, and his mother and sister, who were the only people that treated him with kindness and saw his humanity. Tbh, he reminds me of the way women who have experienced trauma from men act - a general dislike/disdain and distrust for them (for good reason). And I don't doubt Sanji's overall elevation of women was only hammered home by the fact that his first ever father figure - arguably the first man who's treated him with kindness - teaching him the lesson to always respect women. His very illogical need to never fight women probably partially comes from the events in his life, and because it's not just a two dimensional arbitrary rule established for his character - there can be exceptions and growth.
We already know this, because despite Sanji's general disdain of men as a whole, he is capable of caring/loving men that he personally knows. He loves Zeff, and he loves his nakama - some of whom are MEN. Like, it's right there??? In the same way a woman who has experienced violence at the hands of a man probably still has family and friends or even a significant other that they love and care about that are men.
Like if you're using his demeanor towards the different genders as an "aha got you" argument for why Sanji couldn't possibly be queer, its not as strong of an argument as you think it is.
And if we're operating under the assumption that Sanji partially acts like this because of trauma, it brings up quite a few interesting arguments about his sexuality and potential romantic partners.
Which segways into sanzo/zosan, since admittedly I got into this entire debacle because I was looking into fanart (non-shippers feel free to click away now if you wish, I get that not everyone likes the ship, which is valid).
I don't think Sanji's actions means he couldn't be bisexual. Cause I'm bisexual, and you know what would make me very very keen to ignore all my attraction to one specific gender? If I had multiple instances of that gender hurt me severely. In fact I'm not so certain I don't experience that, because while I haven't had anything super bad happen to me, I hear about things in the news, about friends and family who have been harmed, interacted with men who have talked down to me, and I definitely went through a phase in my younger years where i just refused to consider men as a possibility for a romantic partner, because I was just so so angry. And I'm not saying Sanji doesn't like women in truth, because he absolutely does. He's both attracted to them and likes them. But that doesn't eliminate the possibility that he might also be attracted to men, or other non-binary genders. In fact the more he doth protest, and puts on a show when he sees a pretty woman, the more I'm sure he's in denial. Internalized homophobia can also be a bitch. Contrary to making me think Sanji is absolutely straight, the way he acts in the show actually puts me the opposite way.
I've heard Sanji also has an interesting relationship with gender and may be genderqueer but I don't know as many details about that yet, so I'll skip it for now. But regardless, I look at Sanji and go "I don't think this is a traditionally cishet character."
Of course, this is by far not the only interpretation you can have of Sanji. It could be that he's traumatized and also heterosexual. That's absolutely fine. But my overall point here is that I don't think what we see in canon negates the possibility that Sanji can be queer.
As to why I like Zosan in relation to this:
1. First, a relatively minor thing, I enjoy the sheer amount of bickering/fighting. People hold that up as a reason to not like the ship and I'm like, my dude that's one of the only reasons why I'm here. My love language is annoying the people you love and occasionally having homoerotic battles. duh.
2. Zoro is one of the aforementioned men that Sanji cares about, one of the exceptions to his "men are horrible" thing. Like they argue and fight a lot, sure, but you're not convincing me that they don't love each other. In whatever capacity - platonic or romantic - is up to your interpretation. Sanji loves all of his nakama, that's not really something I see as up for debate.
3. I honestly believe that until Sanji gets a less extreme viewpoint of the different genders - he won't be able to be in a healthy romantic relationship with a woman. For one thing, I know Sanji has self worth issues for days. For another thing, his hero worship for women as a whole - his refusal to fight women, even when they're actively trying to harm him - I don't see that translating well to a relationship. Moreover, I can see it being exhausting for the woman he ends up with, to always be treated like she's made of glass or agreed with, regardless of what she says.
Essentially, he wouldn't really treat that relationship as a partnership between equals, and I think when that happens, you run the risk of the individuals hurting each other, even on accident. Of course, we can also see this as a facet of his character with exceptions and possibility for personal growth. Maybe if he gets with a girl he'll grow and learn and still end up in a good relationship. You could also just interpret his demeanor as over the top flirting that he'll reign back in for an actual serious relationship. Sky's the limit when it comes to fandom interpretations.
But because of this, regardless, I just don't see any potential between the female characters I've met and Sanji. What I do see potential in, is Zoro. Here is actually a character Sanji not only trusts to watch his back, is on equal footing with, but is also unafraid to speak his mind and fight with. He doesn't walk on eggshells or worship the ground Zoro walks on, he has no qualms about defending himself if Zoro crosses a line. That is what a relationship can be built on.
4. Zoro has a contrasting way of interacting with women that I find super interesting. He comes off as the kind of character that doesn't actually care about the gender of the person he's fighting or interacting with - he cares about their ability. Which kinda explains his reactions when he hears Kuina's thoughts about being a girl - and I think Tashigi as well if I'm remembering correctly. There could be a clash of beliefs there that might be quite interesting. I know Zoro and Sanji do fight about how they talk to women, but I meant like something not just played off for laughs. Maybe there is something like that later in the show, who knows, I'm still early on.
5. Again the entire reason why I like enemies to lovers is the need for personal growth. I heard someone say that Zoro would be fine with being in love with a boy if it wasn't Sanji, and Sanji would be fine with being in love with Zoro if he wasn't a boy, and man do I think that's accurate. And here's the crux of the matter - in order for them to get together, they need to get over their hang-ups. Sanji needs to unpack the ten million tons of trauma he keeps repressed under his curly noggin, and Zoro needs to figure out why Sanji rubs him the wrong way. That shit is INTERESTING. People forget that the reason why this trope is so popular is BECAUSE it's a fixer upper - there's work to do. Nothing is perfect. It may even be a little toxic. That's the appeal.
Anyways this is getting TOO LONG. Thanks for reading!
