FIRST āNESTā HIGHLIGHTS āØ
Just for the sake of using this blog like an actual blogging space šš»āāļøāØ let me tell you about how my first NEST went!!
For those of you that arenāt familiar, NEST is one of the biggest fetish gatherings in North America for us t-word enthusiasts! Iāve known about it since forever ago, and this may it was my first time actually attending. It was: everything Iād hoped it would be (Ėā½ĖŹĘŖ)ć»ļ¾ā§ā” here are some highlights!
This gathering was probably one of the biggest Iāve ever been to in terms of the amount of friends I saw alone! There were pals from our Tumblr community, friends from Japan, everyone from my gathering friend groups, and lots of friends from my local community as well. It was really heaven to just be with all of my favourite people all at once and in one place (Ėā½ĖŹĘŖ)ć»ļ¾ā§ā”
The events were REALLY COOL! Definitely a gathering with one of the most comprehensive schedules Iāve ever experienced! I participated in as much as I could, but notably the squid games, auctions, and t-word-theatre (which is a big public t-word show where someone getās got in front of an audience in a very theatrical way!) was super cool! Having said thatā¦
I GOT KIDNAPPED!! Well, ānappedā š
donāt worry, no real felonies here hahaha. When I applied to be ānapped like back in the beginning of the year, I didnāt hear anything back at all about the process of how that was going. Knowing not every applicant ends up getting chosen, I didnāt let myself keep my hopes up. Long story short.. after I excitedly went to the t-word theatre event all pumped to watch someone get gotā¦ to my great surprise, that person was gonna be me lmao ā¼ļøš± I was kinda *taken* from my seat and tied to a chair in front of everyone, then a game show-dating show scenario played out with 3 bachelors behind a curtain answering questions (really funny and witty answers, might I add) that the show host threw their way š. Of course, then the host eventually asks the question āour bachelorette loves to laugh, how would you make her laugh?ā ā¦ and basically I watched as all of them came through the curtain to come get me š± one by oneā¦. And then !!! OF COURSE ALL THREE HAD TO COME AT ONCE š±ššµ!!! And I couldnāt take it right so I was yelling āhelp meeeeā hahaha ya know cause pooOOooOoOor meeeee š¤Ŗš. And the host was likeā¦ āsure Iāll help themā AND JOINED IN ON THE LERS SIDE ššš! ANYWAYYYY despite how extremely evil that was šš„ŗ, it was 10/10 one of the coolest experiences of my life, I got an āI got nappedā certificate AND it made me really happy when people approached me later saying they liked my scene (Ėā½ĖŹĘŖ)ć»ļ¾ā§ā” THANK U NEST FOR CHOOSING MEEEE! š©·
This was the first gathering I been to with a partner and he was beyond lovely and supportive and we didnāt struggle with feeling any kind of restrictions due to each other .. and this means a lot because I intend on going to gatherings for as long as I can and the fact that that wonāt interfere with my love life is truly a dream come true for me :)
Oh, and I experienced getting t-worded by one of my most sadistic gal pals in a fully nylon body suit and šµāš«šµāš«šµāš« I think my soul left my body that day lmaoooo RIP ME
Those are the highlights!!! This post really is a summary but happy to share more details if there are any questions š thank you for reading and for following along this lil journey with me <3 I adore and appreciate all of you here with me right now! Weāve come a long way š„° maybe see some of you next year!!! šš that would be amazing!

pairing: zb1 hyung line x gn!reader
genre: fluff <3, humour
warning: pretty lighthearted, light cursing
notes: hi hello this is my first post!! congrats to my jebewon for debuting š„¹ as a pre-bp stan iām so happy to see them so loved and well received š«¶š» ALSO ty to my jebis for reigniting my love for writing <3 iād love to find some zerose moots!! just hit me up, either in my dms or my asks <33
ā¦ * š ā¹ ź¹ģ§ģ
; JIWOONG
ooooh cocky bastard!! (lovingly)
kind of cocks his head to the side and just goes, āhm?ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ā¦š®āšØ
pretends he doesnāt get it but he actually just wants to see the guyās face crumble while your coworker is scrambling to explain
āoh itās just a joke between usāā and the guy tries to throw his arm over your shoulder but jiwoong is quicker and pulls you into his side
makes a show of wrapping his arm around you, giving you the most dazzling smile, just amping up the charisma and charm
refuses to leave your side the whole evening and interjects every time your āwork husbandā tries to talk to you
makes your female coworkers swoon from afar!! makes you two look so lovey-dovey and your āwork husbandā is d y i n g inside the whole evening
gives the guy a firm handshake when you bid your goodbyes and hits him with the āiām the only husband around here, i think,ā SOMEONE TAKE HIM AWAY IMMEDIATELY!!
genuinely does not care as long as the guy treats you fine and isnāt being creepy towards you
almost treats the guy like a kid that has a crush on you when you bring him up when you talk about your day š
keeps teasing you afterwards, brings it up for fun every time and thinks heās soooooo funny
āwoongie you canāt justāā āwell, you have a whole husband on the sideāā someone shut him uppppp!!
ā¦ * š ā¹ ģ„ķģ¤ ; HAO
oh he loves it, but not in the āoh this is cuteā way but rather in the āthis is great, weāll have so much to laugh at later on our way home,ā way
kind of eggs you on to feed into himā¦to see how far the guy will goā¦
āoh really? thatās so sweet!ā āyou never told me about this husband of yours, honey..ā
you just wanna š¦µ šØš»
the guy fails to pick up on the sarcasm that practically drips from haoās voice and gets more confident in his comments towards youā¦
oh heās evil!! but also steps in if it goes too far; he might enjoy the entertainment but no one gets to disrespect his relationship to his face!!
the atmosphere kind of dips when your coworker offers to take you home when you mention that youāre getting tired to hao, since itās āhis job as a husbandā
hao looks at you in utter disbelief like?? did that guy just insinuate what he thinks he was insinuatingā¦.while haoās right thereā¦?!
worst stink eye youāve ever seen from hao just staring daggers into the guy š
takes your hand and says goodbye to everyone except for your āwork husbandā and when you look back before getting out the door you can just see the guy absolutely fuming
ānever speak to him again.ā āi work with himā¦every dayā¦ā āi donāt care!!ā
is genuinely concerned that the guy is being weird to you but covers it up with some lighthearted jealousy to make you laugh :ā)
āhao, i got you some treats on my way home!ā āhow do i know these arenāt just your husbands left oversā¦ā you hate him
āyou should start calling him the office divorcee.ā BYE
ā¦ * š ā¹ ģ±ķė¹ ; HANBIN
hates it but no one is none the wiser with the way he politely smiles and laughs along
except for you!! you know him and you can see the irritation building up behind his smile
all š on the outside but very much š on the inside
you try to reassure him but heās just like, āiām fine! this is fine! iām so glad you have such a close friend at work!ā when you can just see him dying inside
your coworker hears this and tries to interject ājokinglyā and hits hanbin with the, āwell actually weāre not just friendsāā but you elbow him to get him to shut up like!! bro who do you think you are!!
the friendly look on hanbinās face falters for just a second but you can just tell heās seething inside
so you sneak him a little kiss and he lightens up just a little <3
he just wants to leave and take you home and cuddle with you heās so sick and tired of this random ass man playing pretend with his partner!!
but he doesnāt want to make a scene!! because heās scared it would make you look bad if your actual boyfriend lashes out over a ājokeā so he justā¦smiles and endures it š«
looks the happiest you have seen him all day when you tell him itās time to leave, has a spring in his step and beams at everyone when bidding his goodbyes lmao
remains super suspicious of that coworker!! essentially perks up when you mention him like š¤Ø just waiting for you to tell him he did something weird so he can finally march over there and let him have it!!
genuinely tells you that he doesnāt like how the guy calls himself your husband and you promise youāll tell him off if he ever utters the word husband in your vicinity again and hanbinās just giggling and smiley like š„° yesļæ¼ thank you bb
ā¦ * š ā¹ ģė§¤ķ ; MATTHEW
immediately picks up on the joking nature of it and actually brushes it off at first!
itās just a joke!! and itās kinda cute, right? who is he to assume any nefarious business!! just a joke!!
ā¦right? right?!
but his mood gets sour rather quickly when your coworker keeps lingering around you two..when he keeps trying to butt into your conversationsā¦bringing up stuff that happened at work that matthew has no idea aboutā¦
heās stuck to you like glue and mattās getting a little irritated to be honest?? thereās so many other people here, why does he keep circling back to you when your boyfriend is here??
when he interrupts you two being all cute and giggling again, matt kinda loses it but not in a confrontational way!
āman, is there no one else you can bother? maybe an actual partner instead of trying to hog mine??ā
your coworker is speechless, staring at you two and you have to try so hard to bite back a laugh
he leaves huffing and puffing and youāre pretty sure heāll ignore you at work from now but!!
itās all worth it when matthew turns to you and you both burst out in giggles, matt mimicking the face the guy made to make you laugh <3
the guy keeps glaring at you two the whole night but you barely even notice during your fits of laughter w your boyfriend <3
starts jokingly calling himself your house husband to triumph over the work husband!! will bring you a cup of coffee at home, give you a little kiss to your temple and mutter a ā10 points for the house husbandā to hear you giggle šµāš«
ā¦ * š ā¹ ź¹ķė ; TAERAE
hates it, wants to ban the words āy/nā and āwork husbandā from ever being used in one sentence ever again
who does he think he isā¦taerae is right there?
asks you if this is a common occurrence and if he should help you report him to hr š
when you tell him he previously never said anything of this sort heās almost more peeved..? why is he bringing this up NOW when taerae is here!!
simply cannot comprehend the sheer audacity of that man and doesnāt even try to hide it!! heāll flat out cackle at everything your other coworkers say but not a single peep from taerae when your āwork husbandā cracks a joke
ooooh heās so petty and makes sure to keep you away from him the whole evening tooā¦oh you wanna chat w my y/n? my bad we actually have to go to the bathroom. together. see ya!
has a hand on you at all times now!! no way that guy will catch him lacking. hand holding yours, hand on your waist, hand on your neck, hand on your thigh, pinkies intertwinedā¦oh youāre so in love itās almost hard to watch how lovely you look
pulls you in to give you a kiss when the guy approaches to say goodbye and just gives up when he sees yaāll locking lipsā¦1:0 to your boyfriend
cheers when the guy leaves š®āšØ
makes sure you know you should absolutely speak up if he bothers you, and offers to pick you up from work more often to hammer home the fact that youāre off the market <3
puts on a show when he picks you up, pulls up with flowers and gives you a big smooch while raising a brow at the guyā¦almost challenging himā¦oh heās sick

If you are an Avatar fan then youāve probably been rather bewildered by the unaccountable animosity that has developed toward Spider. Whatās obvious is that the brains of some moviegoers are rather blank slates.
Hereās the thingāSpider Socorroās arc in the film requires some reflection and analytical thinking on the part of the audience. Automatically labeling him a traitor or a Terrible Person demonstrates a lack of effort to understand this complex character.
Of course, it is natural that we may find ourselves frustrated with Spider for seemingly going along with the RDA/Recoms and for saving Quaritchās life. After all, those are the bad guys! But if you take the time to analyze some of the plot points and Spiderās own personality and history, you can better understand his motivations.
Here are a few key takeaways to help you empathize with Spiderās choices. I think most Avatar fans will have already picked up on these.
One: Early in the film, Spider is kidnapped and interrogated by the RDA. An interrogation that borders on physical and mental torture. This is a sixteen-year-old kid who has never been in that kind of terrifying situation, so of course heās going to take the first opportunity he has to escape, even if itās with the Recoms on their mission to hunt down the Sullys. Anything to not be handed back to the lab coats, right? But even then he is still being held hostage by Quaritch, who places a tracker inside his Exopack to keep tabs on him. Spider is smartāhe knows he has no choice but to tag along with the Recoms.
Two: Itās important to recognize that despite having spent his whole life on Pandora growing up in the forest among the Omatikaya Peopleābefriending the Sully kids, painting blue stripes on himself, and speaking their languageāSpider knows he is still just a human. And even though he has a confident personality, it is reasonable to assume that there are times when he feels different or inadequate. Sort of an āI need them, but they donāt necessarily need meā kind of situation that many of us can relate to.
But now Spider finds himself surrounded by a group of foreigners from Earth, who it turns out appreciates that he is Pandoran. Appreciates that he operates with the knowledge and physical capability of the Naāvi. Here he can prove his worth and skill, and itās obvious that Spider gets caught up in the feeling of being useful (and of being smarter than the Recoms, because letās admit it, Spider can be a bit cocky š).
However, this is only the case until he witnesses the violent potential of Quaritch and the Recoms in those heartbreaking scenes where they destroy Metkayina villages and murder Ilus. Spider has a wake-up call at this point in the film, and itās here that he actually stops āhelpingā the RDA.
Three: Saving Quaritch from drowning. Spiderās decision to rescue Quaritch at the end of the film boils down to two inconvenient but very realistic and credible reasons.
A ā Quaritch is his father. We cannot try to claim that a son choosing to save his father from death is an evil or traitorous act, even if the father himself is evil. Especially a father who potentially just saved his sonās own life, because I donāt think Neytiri was bluffing during that standoff. So yes, heās clearly not happy about it, but at that moment Spider accepts that Quaritch may have saved his life, so in return he saves him from drowning.
And B ā the simple fact that Spider is a good person.
In addition, I think some people have overlooked that at the end of the film, Spider ditches Quaritch and returns to the Sullys withoutĀ hesitation. That speaks for itself to the resolution of his arc in this film.
So there you have it. I wanted to contribute this to the discourse in the hope that it might sway a few minds. Spider is a fascinating character, particularly because of his intrinsic relationships with both the heroes and villains of this story. Saving Quaritchās life has put him in a really tough spot, and I donāt think this character is finished being caught in the middle. Iām very excited to see where Spiderās story goes.
Amazing writing James Cameron and amazing acting Jack Champion!

The Babbit siblings, Leonard & Eloise š«¶
Info about their dynamics/more about Leo:
This is also super dramaticš idk what sort of mood I was in when I made all of this upš
Heās one year older than Eloise. Ever since she was born, heās been fiercely protective of her and loves her so much. His first year at Hogwarts, he kept sending her long letters about how amazing it was and how he was excited to show her everything the following year (even though it was all but assumed she was a squib, he still believed she would show magic & be admitted). Leonard was going to be such a proud big brotheršš not embarrassed about her at all but showing her off etcšššš The summer after his first year was the worst of his life. It was the summer Eloise was exiled from their familyā¦.he witnessed the whole thingā¦their mom completely lost it (Ć” la Bellatrix) and would have killed Eloise if their father hadnāt intervened on time (but their father had watched and let it get to that pointš). Leo was left alone with a dying little sister and he didnāt know how to help herā¦.heād only JUST finished his first year of Hogwartsā¦and then she was taken away and their parents pretended like she had never existed. He had to as wellā¦what else could a 12-year-old whoād been taught by birth to obey his parents do??
(it was IMPOSSIBLE to forget herā¦and yet he had to try bc the parents are really manipulative and emotionally abusiveā¦and he was always raised to be the perfect son) And then when he returned to Hogwartsā¦he saw two twins who were also quiet and reminded him a lot of his sister. Their parents had just died and he kind of put his energy that he had been going to use to show Eloise everything etc into them and he became really close with them & Ominis. He and Ominis were also close because they have some experiences in common & honestly at the end of the day there isnāt that much difference in their ages) But thenā¦after Anne was cursed Leo was DEVASTATED. He was going to lose another girl who was like a sister to himā¦.bc of his parents he had never told them about Eloise (nobody except their family knew about her existence) and so he and Sebastian got into a HUGE fight. Because Sebastian had never heard of Eloise, when he saw that Leo was just as devastated as HE wasā¦ there was just no way that Leo could understand what he was going through, and Leo had no right to be affected as much as HE WASš¤
Like the dumb teenage boys they are, they couldnāt deal with their big emotions (Leo is also a lot like Eloise in that aspect probably bc of their parentsā¦pushing away any uncomfortable emotions instead of dealing with them, until it builds and builds and he just explodes when theyāre too much) and he and Sebastian took it out on each other and instead of talking they had a duel that almost killed each otherš¤šš¤š ever since then theyāve hated each other with a passion.
Pffffffff Eloise had no ideaā¦.she was really getting along with Sebastian but also wasnāt saying her last name at all and so the two of them had already started to kind of be friends before Sebastian found out that she was LEOāS SISTERš«š¤š¤ then he hated her too!! Bc he thought that she was in with her brother and they had worked together to TRICK HIM like a little evil inside jokeā¦playing with Sebastian and his emotions like the previous yesrššš (Obviously wasnāt the case, Sebastian just jumps to conclusions without thinking which is ALSO what happened when he and Leo had their huge fightš¤)
But yeah now that Eloise is back Leo doesnāt know what to doā¦.he recognized her immediately when she walked in the Great Hall to be sortedā¦š¤Æš¤Æ but he isnāt good with feeling emotions and neither is she and neither of them know how to recreate the close relationship they had as childrenš«š«
Leo is serious, quiet, bad with emotions, but when he lets someone in they are a part of his life forever (yes even Sebastian the dumbass)
Some excerpts from my fic that involve Leo š itās Eloise/Sebastian alternating POV, so this is all Eloiseās perspective:
āLeo had changed since Eloise last saw him. Of course he had, she thought to herself. It had been five years, after all. The same unruly black curls, same eyes. And yetā¦he almost seemed a stranger to her. He was taller, face more angular and defined than it had been at thirteen. Voice deeper. But, the expression of vulnerability and guilt written all over his face was something she recognized well. It was the same expression that he had the last time he saw her, the face she sometimes saw before falling asleep. Just as quickly as it flashed across his face however, it was gone, hidden behind a stony exterior. His expression hardened and he sat down just as quickly as he had stood up, averting his eyes. The students sitting around him were looking between the two of them curiously but before Eloise could begin to process this new situation, she felt a gentle push on her shoulder.ā
āHer relationship with her brother had always had an undercurrent of fear running through it. No matter how hard she tried as a child, there was always something she had done wrong, and Leo was always there to protect her. Or try to, anyway. The two of them had always lived under the shadow of their parentsā abuse and didnāt know any other way of relating to each other.
But here, with Anne, Leo was murmuring apologies into her hair as she cried, reassuring and comforting her in a way he had never been able to with his own sister.
Eloise felt sick. Sick at seeing them, sick at her own jealousy. Had Leo replaced her with Anne - that year when Eloise was supposed to join Hogwarts - to try and cover the bitter disappointment of not being able to proudly show off his younger sister? They had spent so many nights that summer before her Hogwarts letter never came, sneaking out to the garden late at night, Leo reassuring her that she would be fine and telling her about all of the magic and wonder at Hogwarts that was waiting for her. He promised her that she could sit with him on the train, that he wouldnāt be embarrassed by her.
And thenā¦
Turning away from the two of them, Eloise headed towards the apples. She hated the emotions roiling around inside of her. She should be happy. She had saved Anne, and now things were going to go back to normal, how they were before she arrived. Eloise trailed her hand on the back of the couch, trying to focus on the feeling of soft velvet, calm her racing emotions.ā
If you read all of thisā¦.Youāre amazing & I love youš„¹šš„¹š tbh I have MORE about the two of them & their family, but this was already getting so longšµāš«
#Leo will be given the Eloise treatment here#aka happy in drawingsššš#also I gave them both Paul McCartney eyesšššššššššš¤”#aka the eyes I do whenever I draw Beatles fanartš#I hope the formatting works this was a PAIN#and I think it is still probably badšš#hogwarts legacy#hogwarts legacy fanart#hphl#hogwarts legacy oc#hogwarts legacy mc#eloise babbit#leo babbit#honestly I am NOT happy with how Leo turned out hereā¦the next drawing will be better I promisešš

(IDOLiSH7) Torao Mido - RabbiTube mini Rabbit Chat
Please note that I am not a professional translator. If you come across any mistakes, feel free to let me know and I will make the necessary corrections.
Momo: Yamato, Torao, good work~! The RabbiMini project was fun, wasn't it? š„ŗ
Torao Mido: It sure was. I even gained valuable insights into portraying a delinquent from both of you.
Yamato Nikaido: Good work today. That makes it sound like weāre the perfect examples of delinquents or something lol
Torao Mido: Are you not?
Yamato Nikaido: Of course we're not! We're the dazzling idols of the moment, right?
Momo: It's funny when Yamato says it lolol
Momo: Oh, right! I got some info from Haruka. He said Utsugi-san did the dance from our RabbiMini video!!
Momo: Is this true?! šŗš¶
Torao Mido: Yeah.
Torao Mido: I was watching the video with Touma in the green room when out of nowhere Utsugi-san said, "I can dance too," and that's how it all unfolded.
Momo: No way!! I want to see that so bad šš„ What was it like!?
Torao Mido: For some reason, his moves were surprisingly sharp, and he was pretty skilled. Haruka and Minami came back to the green room while he was still dancing
Torao Mido: They were like, "This is kind of gross." I felt a bit sorry for him...
Yamato Nikaido: Isn't his playful side a bit too strong for someone with such a cool appearance?
Torao Mido: He seemed quite satisfied when he went, "It seems the body always remembers."
Momo: Could he be an experienced dancer??
Torao Mido: No, apparently when he was younger, he was often forced to dance at drinking parties by his superiors.
Torao Mido: He said it helps in building favorable human relations, so he learned it earnestly.
Yamato Nikaido: Ah... Well, I guess being able to liven up a drinking party would make you popular with the old geezers...
Momo: So he acquired his dancing skills through such circumstances...
Momo: I can't help but feel an affinity... towards Utsugi-san...
Torao Mido: Affinity?
Momo:
Momo:
Momo: Oh, also!!! The IDOLiSH7 members really enjoyed our RabbiMini too!!! (*'Ļ'*) āØ
Momo: Mitsuki sent me a video~!
Yamato Nikaido: Ah, the glaring game! The one where I competed against Nagi
Torao Mido: What on earth? What kind of game is that...?
Yamato Nikaido: It's a game where you stare each other down and the first one to look away loses!
Yamato Nikaido: Since I was up against Nagi, it felt like it would never end lol
Momo: Nagi does seem really strong lololol
Yamato Nikaido: It went on for so long that it probably looked like we were having an actual fight, so Tama got fed up.
Yamato Nikaido: He suddenly wedged himself between us, we burst out laughing, and were forced to end it there
Momo: Awww!! Cute!! So pure!! Momo-chan's gonna protect him from all evil~~ šŖš
Torao Mido: Does Sougo participate in this glaring down stuff too...?
Yamato Nikaido: Sou did it while jutting his jaw out, I think. His portrayal of an outlaw was outdated lol
Torao Mido: Sougo.....
Torao Mido: You guys really have him doing some crazy stuff, huh, IDOLiSH7...
Torao Mido: If you get stared down by the Osaka family, you won't survive in this industry, you know. I could never play such a terrifying game.
Momo: Wait, was Torao always this cute...?
Yamato Nikaido: If Mido had that attribute added to him on top of everything else, nobody would stand a chance...
Torao Mido: I don't know what you're talking about but dial it back a bit.
Momo:
Momo: Should I try playing this game with Yuki? (ćļ¾Š“ļ¾)
Yamato Nikaido: Momo-san, can you even handle being stared at by Yuki-san?
Momo: Yeah, not a chance.
Momo: I wouldn't even last a second.
Torao Mido: The way this person suddenly regained his composure...
Momo: Torao, you should try playing against someone too! Are you alone right now?
Torao Mido: No, I'm with Haruka in the green room. He's eating some kind of sweet bread while looking at his phone.
Yamato Nikaido: Oh, why don't you try it with him then? It might actually be fun.
Torao Mido: Compete with Haruka?
Torao Mido: I'm not interested in challenging him to a game where the outcome is already obvious
Torao Mido: I can't afford to make Haruka cry before the recording
Yamato Nikaido: Mido, you didn't even know how to move like a delinquent at first; you were at the level where you were moving both arms and legs at the same time, but now you're so confident!
Momo: You were just waddling away like a penguin +.(ā§āā¦)ļ¾+.ļ¾ Yuki liked that scene too!!
Torao Mido: Oi
Torao Mido: You showed it to him?!
Torao Mido: It's absolutely horrifying to think that video is saved inside Re:vale's Momo-sanās phone. Delete it
Yamato Nikaido: Wow, I just learnt some great news!! Maybe Yuki-san has taken a liking to you!? Man, I'm glad!!!!
Torao Mido: What are you so happy for?
Torao Mido: Also, what's with the "strutting with your shoulders raised high" thing? Isn't it hard to walk like that?
Yamato Nikaido: It's not too bad. All things considered, you actually managed to pull it off in the end!
Torao Mido: Of course I did. Who do you think I am?
Momo: Now why don't you try showing Haruka the fruits of your labor? š
Torao Mido: Fine. I'll take the bait
Torao Mido: Wait here.
Yamato Nikaido:
Momo:
Yamato Nikaido: Who do you think will win?
Momo: Hmmmmmm..... Like Yuki, Torao is quite gentle, even if they're both gentle in different ways
Momo: So maybe I'll go with Haruka? š„ŗ
Yamato Nikaido: You may be right. He did turn out to be a pretty sincere guy after getting to know him
Torao Mido: Sorry to keep you waiting.
Momo: Welcome back!
Yamato Nikaido: How did it go?
Torao Mido: He gave me eye drops and that was it.
Torao Mido: He said, "If your eyes are dry, just say so with your mouth instead of silently pleading with your eyes."
Momo:
Yamato Nikaido: Eye-... eye drops... lol
Momo: How is this even possible?! Isn't Haruka way too cute!?
Torao Mido: And when I said it wasn't because my eyes were dry, he thought I wanted some of his bread next.
Torao Mido: He said, "I can give you a piece if you really want some." Do I really seem like someone who would snatch food away from Haruka while he's happily enjoying it?
Momo: Maybe your gaze seemed like you were longing for his bread? lolol
Yamato Nikaido: ŹOOĻ's potential... honestly, I underestimated it.
Torao Mido: This wasn't the plan at all
Momo: Even though your glare was so intense in our RabbiMini šš„
Yamato Nikaido: But I guess you can't help but go easy against your members
Torao Mido: It seems it was too early for me to act like a delinquent. Show me how it's done again, you two.
Torao Mido: Nikaido's intimidating "You wanna go!?" line, and
Torao Mido: Momo-san's "What did you just say, bastard?" line, accompanied by his piercing gaze ā you guys were more menacing than any guys I've seen around.
Momo:
Torao Mido:
Yamato Nikaido: No, no, seriously, I was panicking deep down because I wasn't used to acting like this! Not to mention, Mido is huge, and Momo-san is older than me.
Momo: What are you saying!
Momo: Momo-chan has never spoken in such a harsh tone before, so I was nervous!
Torao Mido: Really now? Well, I'll just leave it at that
Momo:
Yamato Nikaido: We tried to tease Mido, but it ended up backfiring
Momo: Gosh, now we have no choice but to go out for drinks to clear up this misunderstanding! We haven't had our wrap-up party yet either!! š»
Yamato Nikaido: I agree. We should, especially so I can show you that I'm the kind of human who can't even kill a mosquito.
Torao Mido: Sure, I'll keep my schedule open. Having drinks with you two doesn't sound so bad.
Momo:
Yamato Nikaido:
Torao Mido:
The End.

Okay so I watched Inside Man on Netflix. It's interesting. More importantly, it's a masterclass in crafting likeable characters and how the POV we follow in a scene affects the way we see a character. Also, this somehow relates to the Star Wars Prequels, I promise! š
The moral of the series is that "everyone is a murderer, all it takes is a good reason and a bad day." The main characters are:
A vicar who - through a huge misunderstanding - has now locked his son's tutor in his basement and doesn't know how to get out of this situation, played by David Tennant.
A convicted murderer and ex-criminal psychology professor who solves crimes from his cell, as he waits for his execution, played by Stanley Tucci.
So a man who locked a woman in his cellar and a guy who murdered his wife. In any other movie, these guys are the villains. Yet, both of these characters are extremely likeable!
This is achieved through how relatably they behave in their relationships (kind, humble, humorous)...
... and through the emotion and/or charisma brought by the actors playing them (it's THE DOCTOR/CROWLEY and Stanley Friggin' Tucci)... but also through the amount of screen time they get.
We're with them for most of the show. There's other characters (the journalist, the trapped tutor and the vicar's wife) and subplots, of course, but they're our two anchors.
So when I'm watching David Tennant lock his son's tutor in his cellar and consider if he should free her - only to see him and his wife make things worse - I'm not thinking "you monster" like I do when I see Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs for example.
No, I'm thinking "goddammit vicar you're making things worse, it'll come back to haunt you, there's still a chance to turn back, please!" I'm rooting for him to make the right choice because I'm seeing him struggle and despair and hesitate throughout many scenes.
When I'm watching Stanley Tucci guiltily say he deserves death, after being so darn charming, humble and in clear possession of a moral compass, my instinct as a viewer isn't to go "he's right".
It's to go "aaaw, no it's fine, everyone makes mistakes."
And these characters remain likeable and/or relatable for a huge chunk of time... until, every once in a while, the show reminds you that, "remember, these guys are criminals."
"One of them's killed his wife then decapitated her, and the other one is contemplating murder, so they did/are doing evil stuff, they're the villains and you shouldn't grow fond of them."
Then it goes back to making you empathize with them again.
It's quite the emotional roller-coaster, very intriguing yet frustrating, which I have to guess is exactly what the show is going for.
But the point is: the amount of time we spend with these characters is partially what elicits this emotional reaction out of us.
If we consider the tutor's character:
For all intents and purposes, we should feel sorry for her, or full-on fucking love her. Objectively-speaking, she's:
smart but obviously scared,
we establish early on that she has a brave heart and stands up for oppressed women,
she thinks she's trapped by a pedophile or a man defending a pedophile, figures he'll inevitably try to murder her, yet manages to stay resourceful, determined and cool-headed despite it all.
She's an absolute superhero.
But that's not how the narrative frames her.
She's framed as an antagonistic force, in the vicar's subplot.
She may be the one tied up in a basement, but she's in control and the vicar is not. She's almost framed as being in a position of power (when she's really not), which leads the audience to view Tenant's vicar as an underdog.
When the vicar is trying to look for alternatives to end this situation so that he doesn't have to kill her, she's unhelpful,
and even starts pitting the vicar and his wife against each other.
Again, in-universe, she's scared shitless and in "fight-or-flight" mode. She's putting up a front because she's just trying to get outta this alive. She's the victim, here, not the vicar who captured her.
But as a viewer, you don't feel that, despite objectively knowing that. Why and how?
Because we barely see this character, compared to Tenant's vicar. So we have more time to grow to feel for him. There's "why".
Also 90% of what we do see of the tutor is her being aggressive, manipulative, sometimes downright merciless and we're seeing her from the POV of the vicar or the vicar's wife. There's "how".
Result: the viewer feels sorry for the captor and frustrated towards the captive.
This isn't a rational reaction, it's an emotional one (the goal of any visual artform being to get an emotional reaction out of the viewer).
Which means the series and Stephen Moffat effectively did their job.
How does this relate to the Prequels?
Well, a lot of people see the Jedi in a negative light in the Prequels, and Anakin in a more sympathetic one.
Even though the Prequels are about how a good man becomes bad, and even though the Jedi embody one of the major Star Wars themes (selflesness) as opposed to Anakin who clearly displays the anti-theme (selfish)... a majority of fans feels more for the latter than the former. Why?
Because the Prequels unintentionally do what Inside Man does purposefully. You react to Anakin like you react to the vicar. You react to the Jedi like you react to the tutor.
Simply put: Anakin has more screen time than the Jedi. And we don't just see him more, we see him struggle, we see him about what he knows to be morally right vs what he really wants, we see him be overtaken by his own fear...
... and just by contrast, that makes him more relatable than the Jedi, who have already overcome their character arcs and mostly all learned to keep their flaws in check.
The narrative doesn't intend to frame them as antagonistic. We do see them talk about how worried they are, we do see them emote.
And if you think about it, it's easy to see why:
their entire way of life is going to crap,
their values are being corrupted as they're forced to fight and die, alongside their clone brothers, in a war they wanted no part of,
they sense that the Force is close to the breaking point and that the galaxy's inhabitants are suffering on the daily.
But, for example, when Mace or Ki-Adi Mundi are shown expressing concern in the Prequels... as worried as they are, in-universe... out-of-universe, their measured reactions doesn't emotionally impact a viewer as much as Anakin's intense ones do.
So a big chunk of the audience will sympathize more with him than them. But like the tutor in Inside Man, the Jedi are objectively the victims and Anakin is objectively an unstable space-nazi who betrayed and destroyed them.
Just because we're not shown these characters be worried beyond just monotonously saying "I'm worried" doesn't mean they're not actually worried as Anakin is in Revenge of the Sith (if not more).
However we don't see it.
Because these three films aren't about the Jedi Order, they're about the Republic and about Anakin and about how each of these two beautiful things were corrupted (by Palpatine and by themselves) into becoming the very thing they stood against.
The Jedi aren't a factor in either of those two themes set up by George Lucas.
They became a factor when fans - who despite not liking the Prequels, still admirably chose to engage with the material - made the Jedi be more important to the narrative of the Prequels by re-framing these films as "The Failure of the Jedi".
Now, should Lucas have recognized that most fans wouldn't give two shits about why a Republic falls or the "matinee serial" format, and would've rather he focused on the Jedi, and developed them accordingly? Probably.
But good luck telling an indie filmmaker with a bunch of money how to tell the story he wants to tell.
Could Lucas have done more with the Prequels to highlight the fact that the Jedi are the underdogs of the story, not Anakin's oppressors? Yes.
But, firstly, he probably didn't think that was a point that needed explaining. And secondly, as he explained at Cannes, in 2002, feature films are a very limiting format to tell a story, especially one of the Prequels' scale. If it doesn't directly contribute to the story you're telling... it's gotta go.
A limited show would've been better to cover every aspect of the Prequels more in detail and avoid confusing the audience re: who they should be rooting for.
Which is why it's interesting, to me, that Stephen Moffat used his limited show to INTENTIONALLY confuse the audience! š

Snippets: Free Day Thursday
(Goes in the series where Jak got to Spargus via trespassing š takes place after Jak sneaks into the Arena)
Despite the threats of being "grounded until you're thirty-six" (per the advisor in the foundlings' dormitory), no one had taken Jak's gate pass or war amulet. He'd won them on his own, whether or not he met some arbitrary threshold based on bone growth. A lot of Wastelanders on the street talked down to them still, like they were children -- one weird guy with neither hair nor pants kept calling them "anklebiters" and scornfully laughing that the king would never let them leave the city again. But after crashing Sam's second Arena trial, Jak had started hearing approval here and there.
What he couldn't fathom was how often their approval centered around his dark eco form!
That abomination? The walking demonstration of how dark eco was an affront to life?
Easy there, that's Samos talking. If it was wholly evil, the Oracle wouldn't have taught me to make the Dark Form my own, beyond anything Praxis could dream of.
"Useful", they called the horned menace.
Useful, like he'd demonstrated the skills of an electrician or architect or something!
And no one had tried to make him use it, not even once! The most anyone had said so far was "I bet it takes a lot of nerve to learn those moves!", or questions about how much food he had to eat to keep up with the calorie expenditure.
He and Daxter had been tasked with hunting down a local pest called a kangarat that had a bad habit of eating the city's stored grains -- and that had devolved into s tense moment on the beach with some kind of dark eco-probe thing.
Honestly, it was one of the few times when Jak's inability to read modern glyphs came in handy. The script scrolling across the screens had been ancient, even by Sandover standards. But it was close enough to the texts Uncle used to teach him to read that Jak had been able to reroute the power and drain its battery core.
That hadn't done much to make the monk like them.
Seem had a real problem with dark eco, apparently. And oddly, that had felt jarring after everyone else in Spargus.
Seem reminded Jak of Haven.
He didn't want to think about Haven right now.
Eventually someone would probably make him go back. But the war was over, right? It was just skirmishes now, something they'd handled before Jak and could handle without Jak. They'd gotten too used to taking him for granted anyway.
They'd probably be fine.
Right?
Jak shook the darkening thoughts away and made his way out of the Arena complex, shoving a roll into the small pouch that hung from his belt. Meals were scheduled here, and food was readily available, albeit not abundant. But two years and some change of regularly going hungry meant he and Daxter were almost always thinking about food in some way.
Daxter teased that Jak thought about food more than romance. Jak didn't think he was wrong, exactly.
"What do you think, can we make it to the gate without being stopped today?" Jak asked Daxter as he stepped down into the street.
"Only if the Mustachioed Menace isn't there."
Daxter shuddered.
"Jak, promise me if he goes for the fork and knife, you'll skewer him."
"Yeah no, he won't even get that far," Jak promised.
The heat was already in full swing, even at four bells after sunrise. Jak was surprised he'd adapted to it as quickly as he had. The dust? Not so much. He coughed and spat out grit from an errant breeze.
"Told you to pull the scarf up."
"I'd look like Jinx."
"Your vanity or sand in the mouth, up to you, pal."
The general plan had been to make their meandering way back to the beach -- they hadn't seen a clean beach or unpolluted water in years -- but about three minutes into the West Quarter, Jak stopped. A familiar staff was leaned up against a small structure made of stone and conductive metals, but when they glanced around, Damas was nowhere to be seen.
"Well, that's a little weird," Daxter commented.
Jak stepped closer and hunched down to look into the almost hutch-like building. A large, squat, generator sat there on five-inch stilts to keep it out of the sand. A box of tools lay beside it, and a man's lower half stuck out from underneath on a small rolling palette. It almost looked like-
"Uh...Damas?"
Jak wasn't sure the guy liked Jak going around calling him by his first name, but Jak had never been one to allow formalities.
There was a soft clang and a muffled curse. Then the palette rolled out and Damas was there, stained with grease and looking decidedly impatient.
"If it's not urgent, make Kleiver deal with it. I'm busy."
"Yeah, I see that."
Jak crouched to awkwardly waddle into the hut.
"What are you doing?"
Damas raised a brow and gestured silently to the generator as if asking isn't it obvious?
A touch chagrined, Jak waved a hand.
"No, I mean like- what's wrong with it?"
"And how come you're fixin' it?" Daxter added, "Are folks that shorthanded?"
The king simply rolled his eyes and slid back underneath the generator.
"I already told you," he grumbled, "Out here, you're either doing something useful with your life or you're just deadweight. A king sitting sedentary and barking out orders is the epitome of deadweight."
Daxter made an approving sound -- a rarity Damas would later learn to appreciate.
"I can respect it. Not how I'd run things, but not bad! You even got shade in here!"
Jak shrugged Daxter off his shoulder and tapped at the generator casing in interest.
"So what's busted? How big of a problem is it?"
"Well either the blue eco tube is blocked, or the conductors are bad," Damas grunted. "If the eco grid in the Northwest districts goes down, our defenses will be completely out on this side."
"...can I help?"
Damas wheeled back out, looking as though he wasn't sure what he'd heard.
"You what?"
Jak pushed the toolbox closer, making room to lay down and look at the inner workings of the generator.
"I want to help!" he said, "I'm good with eco!"
"Yeah, noticed that."
Damas took a pair of something that looked like forceps and crimped the line in question. He wanted the uncanny boy to just leave. Everything about him felt like he was on the cusp of learning something that could not be un-learned, and would shake the foundations of everything he knew. It made working very distracting. But the offer of aid freely given was never turned down in Spargus. Even if the boy did lead his mind in uncomfortable circles, he was here, and he was eager to help.
With a sigh, Damas gestured vaguely to the tool box.
"Give me the electrical current meter and the wire stripper."
"Got it. Wait, which one's the wire stripper?"
"The pliers that look like they have teeth."
"Oh, there they are."
Jak picked up the wire stripper and handed it over to Damas.
"I don't know a lot about tools yet, sorry. Everyone always makes me destroy things. They think it's all I'm good for. The Oracles are kind of the only ones who don't get mad if I want to fix things instead."
"Geez, kid."
"Yeah, I know. It's not great."
Jak leaned over. "Why do you want the wire stripper?"
Damas pulled down two colorful wires where Jak could see.
"Because," he muttered, "this colorful stuff is insulation. And I need it off if I'm going to test the conductor with this other wire- hey, is the mouthy cacomistle mutant still out there?"
Daxter made an offended gasp, and Damas nodded.
"Good. Tell me if the lights come on."
Damas pulled a black wire and a red wires together and touched the bare ends together.
"Anything?"
"Eehhhhh...." Daxter flopped a hand back and forth. "Lights are on, nobody's home."
"Well, it's not the conductors then. Rot, that means the eco crystallized."
"Crap, really?" Jak scooted closer. "Man, that's a pain to break down."
"Tell me about it."
Damas adjusted the cart and shoved an arm up into the inner workings.
Jak watched, wondering about what he'd said. Was Damas implying that he could channel, too? Well it was about time he met some other channelers! Kor and Praxis couldn't have wiped them all out!
Maybe that's why people here were more open-minded about dark eco. Maybe there were enough channelers around here to use the light eco in the temple that they didn't even worry about getting unbalanced.
"Jak, I need your hand here."
Damas smacked his shoulder with the back of his hand and pointed.
"Hold that, and don't let it fall on me."
"Got it!"
Damas began to unbolt the resevoir frame to get to the eco. "We," he grumbled, "are going to be here a while."
"I'd offer to dissolve it with some dark eco, but I have no idea what that would do to your generator."
"Yeah let's avoid potentially possessed hardware," Damas said, "I'd just as soon skip a repeat of your little adventure on the beach with that...thing."
Jak winced and readjusted his grip on the frame. "...ah. You know about that, huh?"
"I'm the king, kid. I know everything."
It didn't cross his mind until much later that -- in spite of his misgivings -- he'd started treating Jak like any other Spargan. Nor had he considered at the time that he might have been setting a precedent. But when what should have been a simple repair job turned into an impromptu lesson on basic tool function, it seemed that Jak had lost any of the few reservations he had about Damas.
The next two weeks were filled with "what are you doing?" and "where are you going?", "can I come?" "Can I help?"
It was like Mar all over again, but as a skinny teenager!
There would come a day in the near future when Damas would look back on his choice of description with some very colorful swearing about the clarity of hindsight.

If its ok by you, may I ask for some domestic fluff headcanons for Goldheart and Flug? I'd love to hear what you think they get up to while living together
HeroFlugAU Draft Fics
Not really Fluff. But here are some draft slice of life fanfic drafts for the HeroFlugAU š
1) GoldHeart likes to seduce Flug for morning sex just to make him late for his daily schedules. It resulted in Flug having to add morning sex as part of his schedule so that he won't. Making GoldHeart burst out laughing hysterically. He still purposely makes Flug go 5 mins off just to troll him, much to the former villian's frustrations.
2) GoldHeart is petty jealous of anything that has Flug's attention other than him, like his friends, the Golden Jet he's working on for the team and now more recently that Codigo Guajalote show. So he would often seduce him to make him miss the premier. Much to Flug's frustration and they make it into a competition.
3) GoldHeart and Flug go to Supervillains Supermarket & Deli in there are civilian identities to buy groceries, shenanigans ensue.
GoldHeart: We're note taking this van. It looks like the kind of van you'd kidnapped people in
Flug: Well technically I...
GoldHeart, covering his ears: Lalala its better I don't know.
Flug: Well what vehicle should we take then?
GoldHeart: I haven't drawn this in a while. (Points to one of his solid gold Ferraris)
Flug: That? That car has barely any space in the boot. I bet that can't even fit a single bag of groceries.
GoldHeart: It's fine we can just put the groceries on our lap, if it doesn't.
(It wasn't fine, they ended up only getting half the groceries and would try another day to get the rest. š)
(outside supermarket)
GoldHeart, laughs: Why do you villians call everything you own evil. Isn't kind of overcompensatingly. What you guys think are gonna be less evil if you don't.
Flug, teasing: Says the guy with "gold hearts" on his knee caps.
GoldHeart, teasing: Sure "Mr planes everywhere".
Flug, laughs: Alright maybe both sides are overcompensating.
GoldHeart, laughs: I can take that.
4) A petty argument of who ends up more desperate for sex ends up with of them had a competition to see who can go long without having sex with. The loser is the one who makes the first move. Everyone suffers the consequences. Frust ated and horny of them attempt to make the other lose by seducing each other. In the end both of them end up losing at the same time and jumping on each others bones and their boners š.
5) GoldHeart drinks Flug's special awake coffee and can't sleep for a week drags Flug along to do crazy things out of sheer petiness so that he won't have to be wake along. Like taking a several hour plane trip across the continent to get Elvis's Fools Gold Sandwiches, going up the mountains abd solving puzzles to get the fourth flavour ice cream or going to GuzmƔn MuƱoz to do a tag team wrestle in leotards which ended up with GoldHeart being posessed by a parasite mask resulting in Flug having to fight him. Flug was armed with a tranquiliser gun and a laser gun to counter GoldHeart's powers which the both agreed to use if GoldHeart got mind control, but Flug didn't want to use it at first and tried to reason with GoldHeart only for him to end up getting tea bagged by GoldHeart, resulting Flug's last string of sanity snapping for not sleeping for days which ended him him shooting him with the laser and shooting tranquiliser multiple times and finally managing to get some sleep.
Flug wonders why he didn't think about that a few days ago...
Bonus Scene
After GoldHeart defeated Mask Macabre
Adelita: That's right. Pedro is my husband!
[Crowd & Flug]: *gasps*
Sleep deprived and cranky GoldHeart: OH MY GOD AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION NOBODY ASKED!!
Adelita: [ignores him and tells about her husband's origin story and how he ended up being posessed by the mask]
(They are technically wanted by P.E.A.C.E, so Flug puts a tracker on them before they managed to escape. Mask Macabre gets sent to Area 52 for vivisection)
___
Bonus Draft
6) Some crazy fan got a hold of GoldHeart's underwear after he accidentally left it in a hotel room and tried to auction off on eBay for a million dollars (Miss Heed was one of the bidders). The Golden Rule Members attempt to hunt the creep down and beat the crap out of them bring them to justice.

Re-watch of The Spirealm. Episode 24
"How did you get your injuries?"
"I had an accident a long time ago, my friend chose not to save me, and then I got a cut."
"... What kind of friend would leave you in a lurch?"
"Maybe he just didn't care much about me."
:(
With friends like these who needs enemies
"Baby boy, please, don't cry, read it three times, and sleep tight"
OK, I'm sorry @viki, I appreciate your efforts and I'm usually not the one to start a beef with anybody, but that was an incredibly lame translation, wtf...
From the other fan-subs that I had it sounds something like this:
"The sky is anxious, the earth is uneasy,
There is a crying boy in my family,
Recite it three times when passing by here
It's like falling into the sky when I wake up"
Not 100% sure about the accuracy, but can you see the difference??? Also, according to the novel it's a common folk tradition, where "if you have a child at home who cries a lot, you can write this rhyme on a sheet of paper and then stick it in a busy intersection. If passerby read it enough, your child would stop crying." (Chapter 79)
[edit: in ep.26 they had a better translation, but still]
Paying a visit to a menace incarnate
Ruan Nanzhu's I-can-be-a-little-shit-and-you-can't-do-anything-about-it-because-I'm-also-powerful-af face lmao
Honestly, Li Dongyuan, I get it. Unfortunately you don't have any more chances with him than Xu Jin had with Lin Qiushi, so...
Oh the fun!!! š
Nanzhu is worried as hell
But Qianli's comment about seeing Chestnut as his daughter-in-law????? Sneaky and genius. And he's not wrong! Nanzhu is his "older brother" figure, and Qiushi is his brother-in-law, so yeah, Chestnut is Chengling's child-in-law
Gay math š
This scene gives me chills. All of them seem at least somewhat relaxed while sending Qiushi away (except Nanzhu, but he has the right), but when Qiushi enters the Door, all their masks of carefree attitude disappear and they immediately stand up and go towards the door.
And they wait, hoping for the best, but fully knowing that in 15 minutes Qiushi might arrive only to disappear again, this time forever...
Yey! Wu Qi!
Literally the only thing I regret the drama didn't take from the novel is the first time we see Gu Longming (here it's Wu' Qi's alias, in the novel he was a completely separate dude).
Just imagine, you talk online to a girl who is scared of her situation and desperately asking for your help, and when you finally meet each other, instead of a tiny adorable school girl you get this:
With the outfit and everything
And it's just ššš
Absolutely hysterical
(and also, you should check out Ladybeard š, he's awesome)
The dynamic between them in the Doors is great. Just Qiushi being constantly incredulous and exasperated, and Wu Qi just being just a scared š„ŗ kitten.
Everything will go over great!
Avengers, assemble! ššš
š šŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖšŖ

THE WOMEN IN THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!
A calming ambience
Yes, according to censorship, there is no such thing as a River God in this world, but there IS a candle made out of human fat that repels the evil spirits in shape of little pigs walking on hind legs. Logic, everybody!
Dumbasses š§”š§”š§”
Ideas for activities to spend some quality time with your bros:
Fish out and examine the corpse of a child that was thrown into the river as a sacrifice to a River God. 10/10
A painting
I'm dying from Wu Qi's faces in this Door š
This one is giving me - "I just dreamed about being abducted by aliens, and when I woke up things are not much better" - energy
"Dangerous Shit Detector" in the shape of a crying creepy baby doll is a very cool thing

Kristen: "I'd love that. I'd love that."
Fabian asks if Mazey wants to do some pirate snuff š and she kindly declines the offer š
Mazey: "Wanna break out some Twister?"
Ivy: "Twister? What, are we in middle school?" š
Mazey gets very HURT! šā
Mazey is very talented and has cool stuff going on, but she's involved in student government. She's a good egg! š„ŗš
Fig says that she'd love to play Twister with Mazey! šā
Mazey looks very heartened at Fig! š„ŗ
Fig rolls intimidation towards Ivy for that and Kristen offers the help action! šš Fig gets a 17 intimidation towards Ivy!

Fig has rivalries. She hosts it like a pro wrestling match. š
Ivy looks at Mazey and doesn't say anything, 'cause of the intimidation roll.

Fabian: "Yeah, I'm gonna stay up here and do snuff."
Fig: "Yeah"
Fabian: "Sadly, Twister is not my style."
Ivy grins
Ivy: "Bye Bye, Macy"
Everyone makes insight checks into Mazey š
Brennan: "I think all of Fabian's friends see Fabian's decision for what it is."
Gorgug and Riz both decide to go play Twister š

Curious to know your thoughts on Dinās separation from Ranās Crewā¦ (you said you wanted a discussion topic š)
I meant for this to be a two paragraph response and then when I looked up three hours had passed and my back was stiff from sitting at the keyboard for so long. I wrote ninety-five percent of this in one go, then made a gyro and literally went to go rewatch the episode to double check my quotes and notes before coming back š
~ 3.1k words
This ended up being a LOT more context because I donāt feel like I can give a solid answer without laying the groundwork for how I come to the conclusions that I do. Iām nothing if not able to justify my reasons/interpretations, but I also try not to lock into anything unchangeable when it comes to more nebulous parts of a characterās history because I can see how things can go several different ways, all of them interesting and plausible.
One of the things Iāve always loved about Mando from a mechanical/storytelling technique perspective is that heās one of those characters with a mysterious past we only get in relevant bits and pieces, leaving so much open to speculation and interpretation. (I think that does contribute to how many wildly different takes we see in fan spaces about his character, but I digress.) Heās like Wolverine or Snake Eyes in that, when heās being written well, his entire past and backstory isnāt spelled out in concrete detail which frees up storytellers to add things in later as they become relevant without contradicting themselves or having to refer back to/be confined by too much rigidly established history or canon.
(Personally I think more authors should do that when it comes to how characters are used in a story (meaning, the character should serve whatever story youāre writing first and you shouldnāt get too precious about elaborate backstories and irrelevant details if they end up blocking you from making stronger narrative decisions). I like only getting bits and pieces because we as the audience fill in the gaps for ourselves and stay intrigued by the remaining sense of mystery)
Because of that, I donāt have a concrete idea in mind for how Din got involved with or left Malkās crew, and I hope it never gets spelled out unless the writers have a specific story in mind where that comes up.
As much as I like writing Din as a genuinely good man with a strong moral compass and personal code, that does also mean that I think there were times he wasnāt a good man. People are a lot of things in life, and itās only through genuine trial and error, making mistakes and actively bad decisions and learning hard lessons from bad experiences that people grow into being good people (keeping in mind that everybody is capable of making good and bad choices in life at every step of the way. āBeing goodā takes active work and it takes even more work to maintain that consistently).
Characters are more compelling and dynamic when theyāve actually done things that are contrary to how they behave in the present (provided the audience is shown the meaningful progression of that change). To that end, I think Din Djarin has done some things in his life he deeply regrets. Some of those decisions may have been forced out of him by virtue of circumstance, and some of them may have been on purpose (or the lesser of two evils).
Sometimes making the right choice will end up costing you something important, up to and including your life. Survivors of any kind have done a lot of things to ensure that survival. Everybody is capable of change, but change can go in a lot of different directions.
I think erasing a characterās flaws or implications of a flawed past does those characters and stories a disservice by uncomplicating the people and world within which the story is taking place. It truncates what decisions those characters are able to get away with as a story progresses if you insist theyāve only ever been morally upstanding up to the present. It closes off opportunities and directions for writers to take regarding the characterās future. Thatās not a hard and fast rule, but if you start off with Steve Rogers being a good guy, you canāt have him do a complete 180 in a story unless thatās going to be given the time and focus it would take to make that arc believable and satisfying, and sometimes you just donāt have the time to dedicate to that if that isnāt the main story.
All of that to say, Din has probably done some bad things. You donāt end up working with criminals for (itās implied) an extended period of time without having to make moral compromises, and though I believe Dinās faith as a Mandalorian has been steadfast since childhood, there are probably aspects of the more honorable teachings that heās lapsed in at different points of time. (He did, at one point in time, turn over the life of a child to known enemies for payment.) He probably had to not ask questions about targets they were sent sabotage or steal from because if he doesnāt know for a fact that they were innocent people, he can tell himself that heās not at fault for senselessly hurting people or robbing them of their livelihood (even if his guilt, intuition, and conscience tell him otherwise when he tries to sleep at night).
You know what youāre getting into going into mercenary work, so you canāt get tied up into moral quandaries every time you see the person on the other side of it. The more impersonal you can make it, the more you can do the job swiftly and mitigate as much suffering and collateral damage as possible.
I say all of this because Mando doesnāt exactly refute most of the things the crew says about him during the planning and travel phase of the mission, and I donāt think he has a problem correcting people when theyāre objectively wrong about him (even if heās at a disadvantage here being outnumbered, desperate, and coming to them for work). When Ran says they did a lot of crazy stuff back in the day, Din says āThat was a long time ago,ā which does admit to at least some of it being true, itās just something Din makes a point to say heās distanced himself from. Heās saying that heās a different person than what he was like back then, which means there had to have been things he did that heās not proud of.
Sometimes the more you protest though, the more people will pile on the jabs and mockery, especially if said jabs come from elements of truth you as the target canāt completely deny. If you donāt give people the response they want, oftentimes theyāll get bored and move on to something else, or at least wonāt linger on that particular insult.
Itās also worth pointing out that anything the other members of the crew say about him could have been false or taken out of context or were perceived entirely different than what the reality was, them not knowing what Mandoās motives were at the time because heās not exactly forthcoming. Anything they say that implies he did some shady things could have also been things Mando did in those moments that were actually cover for something else. Him letting them think the worst of him so they donāt notice how heās freeing hostages remotely as they work, or sabotaging their demolition-heavy escape that would have hurt bystanders, or hailing the law to show up and interfere before things go too far and people end up dead when they could be saved. The quieter you are, the more people will reveal themselves and overlook you as part of the background, leaving you free to do what you need to.
Some of the things the mercenaries say about him could also be their skewed interpretations of events. Mando could have been quick, heavy-hitting, and ruthless, but ruthlessness doesnāt always equate bloodthirstyā Ruthlessness just means the most efficient route or means from point A to point B. If he went in on a mission and had to incapacitate people quickly and cleanly, they might have interpreted that to mean Mando was a violent person who liked killing or beating people up for the fun or glory or pleasure of it if he was volunteering to be the first one going in. The reality could have been Din not wanting people to suffer or be killed at the hands of mercenaries he knew would be harsher/more careless if they went ahead of him on a job.
Maybe the mercenaries all thought he was trigger happy because he would shoot first without asking questions, but Din was, in reality, six steps ahead of everybody else and had already analyzed the situation and come to the conclusion that that was the necessary thing to do at that juncture. Maybe the fact that he was brutal and quick to fight back when people on the crew antagonized him in their downtime or tried to take his things made them think he had a short temper and was always raring for a fight, when the reality is you have a much better chance of winning if you hit hard and hit fast, and he wasnāt going to put up with anybodyās disrespect or antagonism by rolling over and letting them think they could get away with pushing him around. As soon as you give people an inch theyāll take a mile.
Even if he was doing some shady jobs, there are still things heās not going to do even if he had the skill sets for it. Dinās not going to torture people and wouldnāt have stood for it from others of the crew. Heās not a murderer and even when heās had to kill people in the show itās always done quickly and efficiently. (One reason why I canāt definitively say Mando would be entirely against hurting someone for information is that he did leave Gor Koresh to be torn apart by dogs at the beginning of Season 2, so he obviously thinks there are some people who have it coming. āYou wonāt die by my hand, but I donāt have to save you.ā He gave Koresh a clear and concise opportunity in the arena to back off and give him the info he came for without killing him though and Gor Koresh didnāt take the chance Mando gave him, so Mandoās not going to lose sleep over what he did in leaving the don hanging there in the street. Itās probable there were similar instances like that while working for Ran.)
Though there are a lot of other immoral actions that come with the kinds of jobs itās implied that they did, Mando wasnāt killing people left and right, especially since these guys are lower level criminals and thugs, not organized crime members or assassins, and murder gets you a lot more attention than you want if your primary jobs are stealth-based. Mando retained a sense of honor while working for Ranās crew because Qin wouldnāt have used āYou need me alive to get paid; isnāt that your code? Arenāt you a man of honor?ā as a guilt trip/bargaining chip at the end of the episode otherwise. Qinās (mockingly, but probably accurately) quoting back to him what Din had said to them in the past (same as what Xiāan did in transit regarding what he says about the helmet rule). Itās both possible and likely that Din was the one reining other people in when he could, mediating or diverting the crew from killing targets, security, or civilians who ended up in the way.
The reason I think Mando only killed people back then in self defense is that he left the merc crew alive at the end of āThe Prisonerā when he obviously could have killed them. To me, what weāve seen of his sense of justice in the present shows that, had they all proven to be merciless murderers to other people, he would have dealt out equal punishment in return by the end of it has retroactive retribution. Xiāan was the only one heād worked with before (aside from Qin) and I donāt doubt that she enjoys killing people, and she did kill Davin so she was the most deserving if he had killed her there, but Mando still gave all of them the same last chance he gave Qin years ago; left behind and captured, but alive, despite the fact they all tried to kill him.
(A possible out-of-universe explanation for why he left them alive is that the writers may have had more planned for them in Season 2; thereās concept art in the second seasonās Art of The Mandalorian that has Mayfeld, Xiāan, and Burrg on Boba Fettās ship going into āThe Believer.ā)
We havenāt seen any evidence of Mando taking active enjoyment in killing people. Needless murder goes against the Mandalorian code, and violence typically isnāt (or is taught that it shouldnāt be) the first resort. Mandalorians are diplomatic enough to have a conversation first, but if you instigate a fight, theyāre more than ready and able to finish it. Strike fast and get it over with, donāt drag it out. If youāre going to fight, do it out in the open and be willing to consider a genuine surrender when itās asked for.
Mandoās not a bad guy. Heās just the best at what he does, and what he does isnāt very nice.
ā
So now weāve established some plausible parameters and the atmosphere for what it was like working with Ranās crew in the past. Thereās a lot of ways Mando could have ended up on the crew, and thereās a lot of reasons why he might have stayed there. He could have been ambitious and arrogant and setting out to make a name for himself, but Iām more inclined to think it was a matter of taking whatever jobs he could that would pay a lot of money and allow him to continue forward. Poor people without resources or connections are often driven to make decisions and find crummy or unethical work that goes against their personal code or preferences, especially when there are people relying on them as a source of income.
The importance of community and family among the Mandalorians is something thatās been made abundantly clear about Din from the beginning so that was probably a driving factor in how he conducted his life and work once he became an adult, and if he was one of the few people who was able to travel to find work and bring money and resources back to the tribe, then of course he was going to do it. There are mouths to feed, children to care for, armor to be built for others. You do what you can to survive.
Now say the more jobs he does with them, the worse they get, but he makes more money that can be brought home to the tribe. Say there are circumstances with bad timing that compel him to keep working for Malk as opposed to finding somebody else (potentially just as bad) to work for; working for the devil you know is better than the devil you donāt. Maybe heās saving up for a ship. Maybe he somehow ended up indebted to Malk and was forced to work off that debt for longer than he obviously wanted.
Maybe he was desperate for any work and theirs seemed promising, especially since he had the exact skillset that would guarantee heād succeed. Maybe the jobs they used to do were just legal enough to pass as legitimate (if difficult) work and it wasnāt until heād been there a while that they started to become more dubiously ethical, or Ran used the fact that they had a Mandalorian with them to bargain for better paying jobs from clients (those jobs paying more because they were dirty work).
Say that he knew it would be hard to leave the merc crew because if he didnāt do it right, he knew theyād all be suspicious about what secrets and details heād be taking with him. Who knows who he might talk to? If that were the case, they may have come after him once he departed just to make sure he couldnāt betray them and give them up.
Say Mando had other outside obligations that kept him working with Malk despite the fact he could see the red flags, and the slow, creeping decline in honest work took place over a longer length of time. Itās a lot easier to get somebody involved with criminal activity if it starts small, starts gradual, and can be reasonably justified, especially if you donļæ½ļæ½t have all the facts surrounding the circumstances under which the job is taking place. No questions asked, thatās the policy.
I think whatever job they took where Qin was left behind was close to if not the end of Mandoās time with them. I donāt get the impression they had a great relationship to begin with, and Qin also seems like he could have held his own against Mando for a good amount of time before either of them had to back down or their fights were broken up. Almost every episode involves somebody picking a fight with Din over the armor or the helmet (or justā¦ anything really), and itās clear heās had a lifetime of similar treatment and heās able to fight back every time, so itās not a stretch to say he was probably on the receiving end of similar scuffles while working with the crew, including those instigated by Qin.
So if Mando already had reasons why he wouldnāt have risked his hide to go back for Qin, itās possible something specific happened that was the last straw and Mando decided he would no longer go out of his way to help or protect him, meaning when whatever mission they were on went pear-shaped, Mando left him. A kind of āThose who fall behind get left behind,ā mentality, considering he knew Qin could hold his own and would end up alive if he was smart enough to know what was good for him and back down when he was caught. That was Mandoās measure of grace extended Qinās way. Mando could have killed him on the way out, but he didnāt. He considered that Qinās last chance.
I donāt think Qin was necessarily caught by the law on that mission, but regardless of how it shook out that crew ended up back at home base with at least one less member among them and everybody having a hunch that it could have been done on purpose, even if Mando had viable justification for why he couldnāt have gone back for him without risking the rest of the mission. Mando was able to make a clean break and walk away from the encounter (because Malk wouldnāt have let him back on the crew in āThe Prisonerā otherwise), but not without everybodyās suspicions cast on him as he went, and the longer time passes between people who part ways on a sour note, the more those accusatory thoughts fester and build.
Mando may have made the objectively right call in leaving Qin and had the evidence to back him up, but peopleās feelings are finicky things and tend to overrule all better judgment regardless of the facts of a situation, so the fact that heād been with that crew for a while and had a history thereā one that likely included a well-known animosity between himself and Qinā meant that it didnāt matter how justified Din was. If heād stayed and continued to take jobs with them nobody else would have trusted him to have their backs going forward, which meant there would be no way for Mando to trust that they would have his. For all he knew, their next mission would end with him being left behind, metaphorically or literally stabbed in the back for his trouble in thinking they could work together again.

Hello! So I figured I should probably share my two cents on this since you seem pretty open for discussion. I understand a previous anon brought up the fact that this isnāt excusing itās just explaining and I also understand that Magnifico mainly went all villain when that rat book took control, but I also feel like there may be a slightā¦ Iām not sure how to describe it honestly so Iāll let the rest of my ask speak and see if hopefully my point tangible.
Magnifico did hold a weapon to Amayaās face to threaten her into agreeing with him, and based on her reaction to seeing him with the evil magic (rapid breathing, shaky speech, flinching, instant fawn + freeze reaction) itās possible she likely has some form of trauma that I personally believe may have been a abusive relationship.
I should say I am NOT a Magnifico hater, I donāt believe he was a villain at all but Iām not sure about hero. Of course Iām open to hearing others out and Iām entirely open to learning new things and changing my opinions! So this isnāt me saying āNo youāre wrong Iām rightā itās just intended as me giving my own personal views and asking for yours in return! Sorry for the three paragraph ask and I hope that you have a great day! š
(Also to people who hate on Magnifico that are coming to this account, just why?? Just leave instead of throwing a hissy fit in this persons asks whose just being kind and sharing their personal views, itās that easy š)
Hey anon!
First of all, thank you for being so nice and defending me! Absolutely right! It's beyond me how someone who doesn't like him comes to my blog to nagg at me for loving and defending him, make me a bad person and furthermore accuse me of things .... crazy, anyway! Don't apologize for this long ask! š I appreciate you wanting my opinion! I also wish you a great day! š
Now, let's begin this, shall we?
I can actually explain this as well!! š (and no, it doesn't have anything to do with me loving and defending Magnifico. (Well mostly. *Eherm*) this is based on logical observations!
Soo, Amaya's reactions ... I'm absolutely sure they're not because he's been abusive. Magnifico had been nothing but a sweetheart to her. The explanations are much simpler and relatable.
Amaya knew that Magnifico was able to do great magic, she knew he was very powerful. But she also knew the evil book was powerful. She didn't know to what degree but what do you think happens to someone who's already powerful and gets posessed/controlled by an evil force?
Exactly. They become dangerous and unpredictable. The more power someone has the more dangerous they'd be if posessed by evil. Think of the nicest, sweetest dog, who'd never bite, never do anything bad. If this dog was to get posessed by an evil force, it could maul someone to death. It has teeth and a very powerful jaw to begin with.
The other thing is, who wouldn't flinch if someone pointed a weapon at them? This is a natural human reflex. Yes, some people are jumpier than others (I am š¤£, truly! Sometimes my coworker sneaks up on me while I work on a client to whisper something in my ear and I squeal in shock every single time. It's funny for everyone but me.) But we're talking about Amaya here! It's normal for the body to react if threatened. So we have our reasons why she went fawn mode.
Also, one of the first things she says to him is "How could you!" So, he's already in a very bad place, traumatized, suffering and on top posessed by evil now, and the first thing he's confronted with by his "wife" is blame. Nice. Blame! Guilt tripping and cornering him even further! Bravo Amaya šš¼
So Amaya being scared is relatable and justified. But does her being afraid justify her dumping and backstabbing Magnifico? No.
Just look at her smirk as she gives the guards the order to put him in the dungeons! I'm fine with Amaya x Magnifico shippers but I personally will never ship them! Poor man was desperate and shocked at how quickly and with how much ease she was writing him off.
If Magnifico had been her soulmate, she would have fought to death to get him back. Just imagine, if she had stood up and defended him, pleading her people to help her, saying something like : "Listen to me! Magnifico isn't evil, he's posessed by evil! I know he's dangerous and unpredictable right now but I know he's still in there somewhere and if we can reach him, we can get him back! I know you're scared, I am too, but together we can make it! Please, stand with me!"
I mean, she's the queen, alright? The people of Rosas are to obey and follow her command right after Magnifico. One right word of her and her people would follow her and not Asha. Btw. She could have also asked Asha and her friends to help her. I don't think they would have disagreed if she'd pleaded with them. She's their queen! Or would Asha have turned against Amaya as well then? š
You cannot tell me they wouldn't have been able to reach and save Magnifico by standing together in love and bold compassion! We literally saw how the wishes and (star) were set free from the evil force just by singing and standing together! Only imagine they had done this to free Magnifico! Saying he wasn't savable because the evil book said so is bullcrap.
I don't believe the evil book! A evil book is well, evil! And light will always be more powerful than darkness! Love will always be stronger than hate! Imagine a room full of darkness, then light a match, that tiny speck of light is still glowing! The dark cannot consume it! Because in light there cannot be darkness. And what does a evil book do besides destroy and corrupt?
Also, this looks painful! š„ŗāš»this is nothing but incredibly tragic and sad!
Also, in the past, every single heroine has managed to break curses by true love and compassion! I was reminded of Moana and Te fiti for this!
Do you guys remember that scene, where Moana realizes that Te Fiti is still inside the posessed evil monster? Was Moana afraid? Sure she was! But did that stop her from reaching out to get her back? No!
Te ka (evil Te Fiti) could have burned Moana to a crisp in the split of 2 seconds but Moana still bravely approached her! She willingly faced death because she knew Te Fiti was still in there and by her immense love and compassion she'd get her back! She went "this is not who you are!" And boom!
There's more!
I also remember a scene from the 2 Maleficent live action! When Maleficent was consumed and controlled by hate, anger and revenge. She was all hiss, roar, I'm evil and Aurora stood up to her and told her "This isn't you! There's another way! I know who you are! I know you!" And Maleficent replies "You do not!" And Aurora in tears, in pain but 100% certain, says "Yes I do! You're my mother!"
And just like that the evil in Maleficent crumbles. True loves overcomes all evil! It's always been that way.
And even if no one would have helped Amaya, we'd still have the (true love breaks every curse!) But she did nothing. Well, she did run to Asha and her friends to sing about how bad he's always been like a pop star. She gave Magnifico up over the course of minutes, didn't even try fighting to get him back and wrote him off with a smile!
Magnifico was deeply hurt, the betrayal stung and he suffered inside. He had so much pain and anger and his anger is justified! Please, put yourself in his shoes for a moment. One doesn't even have to fully understand trauma and the whole complexity of the different forms of ptsd.
He only ever tried his best to have everyone happy and content. He only ever wanted to protect and keep safe. That's always been his goal. He held onto his power because he wanted to be strong enough to keep whats dear to him from harm at all costs! If someone wants to protect that fiercly it only means that person loves immensly 1 and 2 has suffered unbelievable painful loss. He loved his people! He cared for his people immensly. So much so he was willing to get himself posessed by evil even if he never wanted to! He felt forced by his desperation and utter fear.
And what did his people do in the end? Can you imagine how badly it must have hurt to realize you've only been loved for what you can do and give? How used he must have felt? He's been celebrated more for being handsome and a limitless genie than a loving king who established an amazing kingdom and ruled it well! He's bent backwards and all it took his people to turn on him was a teenager who thinks she knows better than anyone with a strange cute looking creature from the sky, they btw. knew just as little about!
Everyone backstabbed and betrayed him. Here he is, at the peak of all his suffering and posessed. His soul surely cried for help, hoped for anyone to reach out to him but no one did. He got kicked into his wound even further. Quite literally, this was the thanks he got.

Hihi āŖ(Ā“Īµļ½*)
I'm pretty good, actually. Just chilling today, yet i have an exam to do later aaaa. Good thing is that i take classes online, so i won't have to leave my house to do the exam hehe šš
Yeeees, I'm almost done with the third game. I'm, uuuh, at that part when we discover the truth about Makoto's past. I didn't see that coming, for sure. Metaphormosis is the new Atlus game? I know they're about to release a new game bcs my brother was ranting how much he liked the demo lol
Actually, my first ending on persona 5 was me accepting Maruki's offer. At that time, I was dealing with a very bad depressive episode and his idea that we could be happy living inside a fabricated reality was better than getting better on my own. Plus, he seemed like a very caring and gentle psychologist, so I was just happy to let him win š¤·āāļø
But yeah, the āØļø parallels āØļø. I love their parallels and how similar their beliefs are; and you're so right, the people around them know they aren't evil, they genuinely just want to help people and give them a happy life, even if it's fake
Also absolutely!!!! Psychology Malleus would be so sweet with his patients, I just know. I can feel it.
Though Maruki's version is "better" imo bcs the people under his controls are awake and living, they aren't trapped into an endless dream that keep repeating itself (on another note: do the dreams keep repeating? I haven't been keeping up with the updates so I'm not sure aaa)
And yep, I'm really curious about how they're going to end chapter 7. Kinda want the diasomnia trio to show him with love and reassure him, kinda want them to fight him and tire him out so he'll realize that what he is doing is bad aaaa. So many possibilities š«¢
Hello Lorkai šŗšš
I hope your exam went well š«šš the only good thing about online classes is being home and not leaving your bed lol š
Nice!! Did you know there is a girl and boy version for persona 3? But the remake only had the boy š whoās your fave? I like a certain character withā¦a scarf cough cough.
Makotoās and Futabaās always hits me so deeply š yes! Metamorphosis is the new game. It has a persona feel withā¦medieval themes, kind of gives me GOT pg13 vibes lol š
I would probably accept his offer too š even now, I am not strong enough. If I can live in a world and be happy without much effort? I would take it lol.
Right?? And Malleus would listen too and you know he would take your wants into consideration š„ŗ
Iām not sure about dreams repeating š§ I donāt think they do? I think itās either āhappiest memoriesā in Liliaās case (which is his happiest dream), where he would relive everything he goes through because his happiest moment was malās birth. Or their inner desires, which is what everyone else has. Which is based on their magic experience and their wants. So in a way, malleus gave them the criteria and they are the ones who makes the setting if that makes sense?
I want them to shower him with love šš he hasnāt been in his book and then he also didnāt see what his birth means to lilia. He literally just dismissed it?? And I want to throttle him ahhhh ššš
Letās give him the chancla and then smother him with love šššš

Hello there.
First off, I'd like to start off by saying Congratulations are in order on completing "š¹Loyaltyš„"ššššššš„³š„³š„³. This story, it's writing and characters are so absorbing and with such detailed scenarios that they just pop into your head instantly. The characters created, from our main hero to one of the princess's ladies in waiting, are so distinct and unique that you can recollect them even if they only appeared in a single chapter. There are so many characters that are either morally grey, down right evil or just too good to a fault. This story really invokes you too feel grief, joy, vexation, calmness, fury and heartache for the cast in any situation that they are in. I know I've said it before but I have to repeat myself, this is a gripping and enthralling tale. The wait for the next series is going to have me on edge, especially to wait and see what steps Lady Lannister will take next. Now, I was wondering if I could share a perspective I have on one of your stories themes, if that wouls be alright with your?. ( PLEASE BE WARNED: this post is going to be an extremely long rant and may contain some spoilers of the last few chaptersš. You've been warned šš)

In your response to one of my earlier questions to you, I recall you mentioning that one of the main themes to your book is how our wreckless actions and decisions have serious consequences on our lives, as well as on the lives of those around us. In the beginning, I could clearly see this with Aemond. He was careless with his approach to the rumours surrounding him and Lady Lannister, as well as how he handled Ellyn's abusive attitude towards our hero. Now as a result, he's as good as destroyed the only genuine friendship he's ever and will ever have. However, now that I've finished the first novel, I'm starting to see this theme arise in several other characters in the story: the Lady Tyshara, Lady Elinor and even in our hero, Lady Lannister.
š¦šøā„ļøš°āļøšµļøš¦šøā„ļøš°āļøšµļøš¦š°āļøšøšµļø
Firstly, Tyshara. Her sole reason for her strong dislike to Lady Lannister is of her marrying Jason Lannister and becoming the new Lady of Casterly Rock. But in Tyshara's young 'naive' eyes, our hero was replacing her mother. With this vexatious reason, she justifies her decision to join and aid Cerilla and the Snake Lady Jenna š in orchestrating the trial to get Lady Lannister falsely convicted of murder. The consequences of this indefensible act not only affect our hero, who gets ostracised by the court and society, but Tyshara herself. She has entangled herself with the company of Cerilla and Jenna. After spending some time in their company, she starts to grasp that they do not truly value her or her aid. They soon cut her off and discard her solely to cover their tracks. Ironically, Tyshara's fate is similar to Lady L's tale. Another consequence of her actions of that she left Eowyn in Jenna's clutches.

Next we have Lady Elinor. My heart truly breaks for this character as I found her to be very much the sole backbone and support for Lady Lannister when she was under suspicion in Kings Landing and when all had turn their backs to her. She was the sole person to boldly call out Ellyn for her disrespectful and shameful behaviour on the day of Lady Lannister's nuptials. While noble and satisfying to see, this was a very thoughtless action on Elinor's part. The consequences were dire as I feel that it gave Ellyn an opportunity to not only physically punish Elinor but to emotionally punish and torture Lady Lannister. Elinor's actions led to Lady Lannister losing the only family like member she has at a time where she needed support and kindness. But all it did was cause our hero to lose another supporter and leaving her more isolated than before.
š¹š„š”ļøš¤ā„ļøš„š”ļøš¤ā„ļøš¹š„š”ļøš¹ā„ļøš¤š¹š„
Finally, the next character who I believe displays this theme is non other than our hero, Lady Y/N Lannister. From start to finish, Lady Lannister's tale is tragic, with all her ill-fortunes and fate being the result of the actions and schemes of those around her. From Aemond and Ellyn to Cerilla and the 'Weed' Lady Jenna. Yet, after completing the story, I can't help but recognise that there were a few incidences where Lady Lannister had a hand in her own down fall as a result of the decisions and actions she made. The first incidence I took note of was her close encounters with Jacerion. It's understandable that Lady L would faintly fall for Jacerion as he was one of the very few people who still cared for our hero in Kings Landing. But their close encounters, their conversations behind closed doors at Harrenhall and High Garden, were enough to draw suspicion or grab people's attention. Especially for Lady L who was the subject and main receiver of the consequences of the previous rumour regarding her as Aemond's lover. Next are her encounters with the Mad Stag Princess Ellyn. Over the course of the book, Lady Lannister has had to put up with Ellyn's abuse but there were times when she spoke back in retaliation. These were when she regarded Ellyn being infertile or when our hero boldly professed how she can easily poison Ellyn to render her infertile. Unfortunately, these bold declarations were what cost our hero her freedom. While I understand our hero's anger, Lady Lannister was still a status lower than Ellyn who was a princess. And so there would be serious repercussions for these words. And even though she was unaware of their schemes at the time, Jenna and Cerilla happily used these statements as well as our heros encounters with Ellyn and Jacerion as hard evidence to convict her of her charges. I would also like to include that I found our hero was recklessness with the letters she was sending to Jacerion, especially with Cerilla being one of the few asked to "send" them. For any woman of her status in that era, whatever Lady Lannister wrote down could have been passed to someone else or interpreted differently. Our hero's rash and injudicious decisions and actions not only cost her her name, dignity and freedom, but it also cost her her little boy. Sadly, I felt that Lady L virtually provided her enemies with the perfect tools to destroy her life š¢šš¢.

Phew, finishedš
. I'm sorry if it's such a long rant but I just had to ask and get your opinion on this, if your ever get the chance. I hope this is an interesting read. I want to say congratulations again on completing your story "Loyalty" and for putting it out there to read. Looking forward to your reply.
š¹āļø"JUSTICE FOR LADY LANNISTER AND LORD EOWYN AND DOWN WITH JENNAšš”ļøš¹
Hi! Good to see you in my inbox again!šš
The theme of self destruction is, as you said, highly prevalent through the story. We see it in Aemond's destructive behavior and in the reader. The readers inability to take control and follow others through unbending loyalty to people who do not have her best interest at heart. The reader does not always think before she acts when angry. Tyshara is another prominent example. She acted with hate through her anger at the reader and in the end she looses her brother. Book two will showcase the readers destructive tendencies. What can I say, I love my messy female characters. š
Tyshara is a younger example of the reader. Jenna preys on young girls who do not have anyone else. There is no coincidence that the two girls (reader and Tyshara) had no parents who could protect them. Jenna sets herself up as the one who makes commands. Their tale ends the same, both getting spat out when their purpose is served.š
Elinor's story is sad indeed. Her desire to support the reader cost Y/n much needed moral support. (Sorry this bit is short, you summed up her story very well.)
Your description of Jenna as a weed is very apt. Actually got a chuckle out of that, maybe it should be her new symbol lol. Sadly the reader gave her enemies just the evidence needed to convict her. Although she could not have seen what the future would bring, many of her actions were reckless. Another aspect is her loyalty, which does the reader more ill than good. She puts herself in danger with blind loyalty. the readers journey will have her confront who, or what, she should be loyal to. Otherwise she is lost.
Thank you for the long rant, I enjoyed reading it.š
