You had a problem. A very big problem. And that problem was Matthew.

Matthew was your best friend in the whole world. He had been for a while. Except, somewhere along the way, being around him started to make your heart race, and suddenly, you found yourself harboring a very inconvenient, very distracting crush on him. It was ridiculous, honestly. Your heart only acted up because Matthew was nice. He was sweet to everyone, not just you. Surely, you’d get over this stupid infatuation soon. But the more you tried to ignore it, the worse it got.

It was all his fault. Seriously. Because how were you not supposed to swoon whenever he grinned at you? You felt like a complete fool, getting all giddy like a lovesick teenager when Matthew probably didn’t even notice. He was just being friendly, right? That’s what best friends do!

But there were moments. Little moments. That made you question this. Like that one time, when you went to get coffee before an exam, and he’d taken your cold hands in his, lifted them closer to his mouth, and pressed his lips against them to warm them. You were not prepared for that. You swore your knees buckled the moment he did that, heart beating fast and hands still shaking as you went into the exam.

Or how, in class, he always insisted on sitting next to you. His leg would always be pressed against yours, a constant point of contact that left your skin buzzing. And when you pulled away, you’d see his shoulders slump in disappointment from the corner of your eye.

And then there was the heart. The stupid, wobbly-looking heart he once drew on the back of your hand while you were studying. Normally, he’d just draw a penis to annoy you, but no, this time it was a heart. And he’d done it with that little grin on his face, like he knew exactly what he was doing to you.

Matthew was infuriating. Infuriatingly adorable. He was also the funniest and kindest guy you knew. No matter how bad your day was, he always greeted you with that infectious smile—the kind that made your heart stumble and your lips mirror his before you could stop yourself. That was the effect Matthew had on you. He was your walking sunshine, and you were hopelessly addicted to his warmth.

Matthew thinks you’re the stupidest girl on earth. And yes, the prettiest too, but he’ll get to that part later. Right now, you were the stupidest girl ever! He was grappling with the fact that despite all the obvious hints he’d been dropping, you were still completely oblivious to his feelings. It was driving him insane!

He’d been trying so hard to make it clear—flirting, being extra touchy and attentive, drawing hearts on your hand (which he swore was a huge gesture)—but you seemed to think he was just being friendly. And don’t even get him started on Taerae, who kept insisting that Matthew’s so-called “hints” weren’t hints at all, just Matthew being his usual bubbly self.

Matthew strongly disagreed. To him, it was crystal clear that he was practically waving a neon sign that read “I have feelings for you!” He was convinced that if he came right out and told you he loved you, you’d just smile and say, “Thanks,” thinking he was just being friendly. It was infuriating, and frankly, a little heartbreaking.

Maybe you liked Matthew just as a friend. Maybe you were immune to his charm. But if that were true, then why did you look at him like you wanted to kiss the life out of him? And why did you turn bright red whenever his hand brushed against yours, as though a mere touch was enough to set your whole world on fire? So many questions in his head, each more perplexing than the last. He felt like he almost had the answers, but then a creeping doubt would settle in—what if he was just reading too much into it?

The more he tried to make sense of your reactions, the more tangled his thoughts became. The way you laughed at his jokes no matter how lame they were, the way you leaned in unconsciously when you spoke to him, and the way your hands would idly reach up to his hair and play with it—it all seemed like more than mere friendship to Matthew. But the thought that he was just seeing what he wanted to see haunted him.

It didn’t take long for your friends to catch on, too. And God, were they annoying about it. Hao would peer at you and Matthew over the top of his glasses, face scrunched up in utter disgust whenever you two shared even the briefest interaction. A smile? Cue the exaggerated eye roll.

Gyuvin and Ricky weren’t any better, making it a point to cough obnoxiously loud whenever Matthew was trying to speak to you.

“Hey Y/N, your hair looks—” cough, cough. “I really like your—” COUGH, COUGH!

It was like being under constant surveillance by a team of over-the-top drama queens.

Gunwook, though, was the real menace. He’d lean in to give Matthew a hug and end up “accidentally” pushing him toward you, sending you both crashing to the ground in a tangle of limbs. And yet, despite the chaos, neither of you seemed annoyed. If anything, you both secretly enjoyed the feeling of being in each other’s arms, touches lingering just a little longer. And though you’d never admit it, your friends knew. They’d just watch you and Matthew smile at each other with knowing smirks.

Yujin took things to an entirely new level. He’d let out a loud, dramatic gasp whenever your hand brushed against Matthew’s, throwing his hands over his eyes like he’d seen the most scandalous thing ever.

And Jiwoong—this guy had a knack for trickery. Somehow always convincing you and Matthew to wear matching clothes or accessories without either of you realizing, until the boys saw you.

The moment you’d walk in with Matthew, both of you wearing an item of the same color or print, they would erupt into cheers, saying that you two were “basically a married couple now.”

Taerae would then start singing a sad ballad, dragging out every note as much as possible, while wiping fake tears from his eyes, while Hao, Ricky, and Gyuvin would start coming up with baby names. The teasing was relentless.

Hanbin was the only normal one among you. The one beacon of sanity. If anything, he probably felt more embarrassment than you or Matthew ever did. While everyone took a chance to push you two together, Hanbin would just watch from afar, arms crossed, head shaking in disappointment. And when he noticed that you and Matthew actually enjoyed the teasing? Oh, that made it even worse.

Like that one time at a café. The whole group was seated, enjoying their drinks, when Gyuvin decided to be, well, Gyuvin. “Kiss her! Kiss her!” he chanted loudly, just because you’d taken a sip of Matthew’s drink. And of course, the others immediately jumped in, some even banging their fists on the table like they were at a sports game rather than a quiet café. They yelled louder and louder, forgetting about the innocent people around who were probably annoyed by the chants. Hanbin, as usual, just stood off to the side, pretending not to know any of you. His face was buried in his hands as the barista shot your group a death glare. The inevitable happened: you were all kicked out. And Hanbin, red-faced and mortified, sighed deeply as he trailed behind the rest of you.

But nothing could compare to the stunt they’d pulled just now. You and Matthew had cluelessly stepped into the elevator, like you always did, only for it to break down while you two were trapped inside.

“Shit, what do we do now?” you asked, pressing the buttons on the elevator with urgency.

Matthew wrapped his hand around your wrist and gently pulled you toward him. “Don’t worry, it’s probably just the boys playing another prank,” he said softly.

You relaxed at his words. Ricky probably paid someone to do this—at least, you hoped. You went to stand beside Matthew, leaning on the cold elevator wall next to him.

After a few moments of comfortable silence, you rubbed your temple and said, “Honestly, they’ve lost all sense of shame.”

Matthew chuckled at your words and turned to face you. “You know, maybe we should just save them the trouble and go out.”

You cocked an eyebrow at him, but the grin on your face gave your feelings away. Matthew’s hands were immediately on your hips, pulling you toward him.

The others waited with bated breath, hoping you’d be stuck long enough for something to happen, hoping this would finally force you two to make a move. And it worked. When the doors finally pried open a few minutes later, there you were, mid-kiss, with Matthew’s hand tangled in your hair as you both finally gave in to the tension that had been building for what felt like forever.

The second Gyuvin saw you, he screamed at the top of his lungs, “THEY FINALLY KISSED! OH MY GOD!” as he jumped around. Meanwhile, Yujin stood there, completely flabbergasted at the sight in front of him, mouth hanging open.

EYE CONTACT

He always finds your eyes from across the room. Whether you’re hanging out with friends or alone at home doing separate tasks, Matthew always scans the room to find where you are. He’ll give you a smooth smile or a wink once he knows he has your attention. No matter how many times he does it, it always manages to summon butterflies in your stomach. It’s mostly another excuse for him to be flirty with you, but he also does it so he can check up on how you’re feeling. He’s always been good at reading your emotions from your face, and he always wants to know if you were ever feeling uncomfortable or down in any way. Matthew always makes sure to make his way over to you and wipe the frown off your face if he needs to.

SELFIES

He will always send you selfies throughout the day. You know exactly what he’s doing practically every hour of the day, because you’re always texting each other. He’ll update you on schedules or let you know when he’ll be back from the gym. If one or both of you are busy for the majority of the day, Matthew will try to FaceTime you during lunch break. Communication is one of the most important things to Matthew, and making sure you’re updated on his schedule is something he’ll always prioritise. 

GRABBING YOUR WAIST

He loves to grab your waist when you’re walking by. Say he’s sitting on the couch and you were walking past him. He would definitely grab your waist and pull you down onto his lap, having no concern for where you had originally been trying to go. This would, of course, be accompanied by plenty of kisses. Your cheeks or forehead are his favourite places to kiss, but if he’s feeling more romantic, he might go for your neck or hand instead. This man is always clingy, and you’ve had to learn to accept that once he gets his hands on you, he will not let you leave until he’s done peppering kisses to your skin.

DATE NIGHTS

Just because you’ve already tied the knot, doesn’t mean that date nights aren’t a serious ordeal for Matthew. He’ll make sure to book a reservation for a fancy restaurant and wear his best suit. He loves to do all the overly romantic things with you that seem straight out of a romcom. He never forgets to tell you how beautiful you look all throughout the date, and if you were ever unsure of how much he adored you, he would be sure to show you later that night.

PICKUP LINES

Cheesy pickup lines are a Matthew staple, and, as your husband, he definitely doesn’t hold back. He knows he’s yours forever, a promise you made with each other on the day of your wedding, and the thought of it just makes his brain go a little crazy. He’s so in love with you, and, unfortunately, his favourite way of playfully expressing it to you is trying endless pickup lines on you. No matter how corny they are, they always manage to make you giggle, which is exactly the reaction Matthew wants. Even if you hate them, you’re never going to be able to get him to stop using them. He’s a bit too addicted to the cliché one-liners. 

BOUQUETS

He’ll bring you back bouquets when he’s been away almost all day. Since he’s very busy, he can’t often spend all day with you like he wants to. Knowing that whenever you miss him, you can just smell the flowers that he gave you puts his mind at ease. Plus, it gives him extra husband points according to you, so he started making it part of his regular routine. He picked up on what flowers you liked the most after a couple weeks and consistently picks out the prettiest bouquets. 

NIGHT TIME KISSES

Matthew has a special night-time routine with you. It’s not skincare or any other hygiene, but in his mind, it’s just as important. When it’s late at night and you’re both drowsy, Matthew loves to give you soft kisses. He has no ulterior motive with them other than showing you how much he loves you. He’ll start with your hand and make his way up your arm, slow and gentle. He takes extra care with your face, making sure the kisses are as tender as possible. Once he reaches your lips, he’ll practically melt into them— the final thing he needs before he falls asleep with you in his arms.

𐙚 Jiwoong

Jiwoong smiles at you as your small hands struggle to balance a pepero stick between his lips. "Woongie you need to stop smiling for this to work" you giggle. "Sorry love you just look so cute trying to concentrate like this." He says before obeying you and maintaining a poker face. You finally are able to put a stick between his lips, his teeth softly biting into one end. You give him a quick smile and place your hands on his shoulders, keeping your balance as you bend over, starting to chew on the other end of the pocky. You keep taking small bites, your face inching closer and closer to his face, savouring the chocolate flavour on your tongue. Jiwoong's eyes never leave you, focusing so intently at your features, his stares driving you a little crazy. You feel your cheeks heat up with the way he is looking at you. The pepero still in between both of you, completely forgotten as you sit there distracted by Jiwoong's gaze. He lets go off his bite on the chocolate letting it fall on the mattress below you guys. "You know you are supposed to bite down on it, not keep it between your teeth." He laughs. "I know I just- god you are so handsome" you say absent mindedly, still staring into his eyes. He smiles once again, pulling you into his arms before attaching your lips together.

"This is kind of stupid you know?" Hao deadpans at you, currently lazing in your bed when you show him the pepero box. "No it's not, it's romantic. Now get up you big princess. Do it for your girlfriend." you say trying to get him to sit straight. Hao whines like he always does, not wanting to be disturbed from his "zombie" position on the bed. "Come on just do it while I am lying here. Put it in my mouth. You can bite down or whatever." He huffs out, opening his mouth. You push the pepero between his lips, before climbing on top of him, legs on either side of his waist as his hands wrap around yours. "You are such a big baby Zhang Hao" you chuckle before opening your mouth to bite down on the pepero. When you reach the most end of it, your lips almost touching Hao's, he grabs you by your arms and pulls you towards him, kissing you teasingly. His hands trap you in a tight embrace not letting you sit up. "Are you going to let me go Babe?" you ask him, caged against his chest. "Nope you are rotting in bed like this with me for the rest of the day."

"Stop laughing Binnie!" you mumble, trying to keep the pepero between your teeth while screaming at your boyfriend. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just can't, your face it's too close" he nervously giggles. Hanbin's cheeks are dusted with a rosy colour as he attempts to bite down the pepero for the tenth time today, all the efforts before this futile because he just can't handle looking into your eyes and having your face so close to him without giggling like a teenager. You hold your breath as he bites down on the stick, face nearing closer to you but the moment there is only a few inches left between you two, he starts giggling again, the pepero breaking and falling on the table. You groan loudly, "you know what I am tired". He stares at you wide eyed as you stand up from your chair, take a pepero in your hand, grab his face and put the stick in his mouth before chewing down on it in no time, placing a peck on his lips when you are done. "And that's how you do the pepero challenge."

𐙚 Matthew

"Babee I am home!" you hear Matthew say in a sing-song voice walking in with a plastic bag full of snacks. "What did you get?" you ask before turning your head to return to the videogame you were playing. "See it for yourself " he says. Too lazy to get up from the comfort of your couch, you push your head back the backrest, letting it hang. An upside down Matthew stares at you, visibly grinning so big as he shoves the pocky packet in your face. "I want to do that pepero challenge with you." He takes out a stick pumping with excitement. "You know to do the pepero challenge you need pepero for that, and I am pretty sure that's pocky" you giggle at him. He pouts, placing the stick between your teeth. "Don't spoil the mood, they only had these left at the store" he bickers before holding your jaw delicately with one hand and supporting your hanging head with the other. Biting down softly on the stick he comes closer and closer, closing the gap and giving you the famous spiderman kiss, leaving you in a blushing state.

"Ha I can beat you so easily, like this the best you got?" Taerae mocks at you, holding the small piece of pepero between his fingers that has broken off while you tried the challenge on him. He smiles cunningly, taking another stick from the box that lies on your bed, and places it in your mouth. "Watch and learn princess, this is how you do it" he says annoyingly as always whenever he gets way too competitive. You sigh as he holds your face and starts biting down. When his face is merely a centimetre away he stops, the pepero still in between you both and taunts you once again. "See I am so much better than you" he blabbers, dimple peeking on his right cheek. You roll your eyes, tired by how stupid your boyfriend is to realise that this is not really a challenge but just a way to get him to kiss you. Grabbing by his collar you pull him closer, attaching your lips together as he yelps in your mouth taken by surprise before melting in your embrace, wrapping his hands around your waist pulling you closer. When you let go, he sighs and whines with his eyebrows furrowed. "You did that on purpose, you knew I was going to win the chall-" you shut him up by pulling him in again.

"Rickyyyy I was thinki-"

"No"

"No".

"Come on now, listen to me" you give him the best puppy eyes you could muster, sitting in front of him on the kitchen slab. Ricky stands in front of you with his arms crossed across his chest knowing that you are up to no good. "Let me guess you want to do another challenge with me that you saw on tiktok" he chuckles lightly, well versed with your playfulness. "Yes! Look what I got" you beam at him showing him the pepero box, shaking it like a child. "The whole tying a ribbon around my bicep wasn't enough for you I presume?" he asks you, moving closer, hands resting at each side of your thighs. "Nope, I have a pretty boyfriend and I like doing romantic things with him no harm in that, now come on you know how this goes" you answer propping the stick between your front teeth. "At least tell me it's strawberry flavoured" he asks defeatedly as you nod your head and he starts biting on it. He bites the chocolate slowly and lets it go before even nearing your face. You whine loudly, smacking his shoulder. He bends at your eye level and smirks. "What, you said you wanted to do the challenge, you didn't specify how far you wanted to take it."

𐙚 Gyuvin

"Gyu can we please just watch the movie?" you groan as Gyuvin hits the pause button at the screen. "Yes we will after we do this" he jumps from the couch like an excited puppy and runs to the kitchen to fetch a small box in his hands. "Ta-da! I got this earlier for you, I know how much you love them." He shows you the pepero box, taking out a stick and putting it in his mouth. Turning to you, he places his hands on your shoulder and tugs at your dress to bite down at the pepero. "Do the challenge with me pleaseee" he tries to speak, mouth full of chocolate. "Ahh Kim Gyuvin you will be the death of me" you smile at him adoring how cute he is and start biting down at the pepero with your eyes closed. What you don't notice is that Gyuvin is biting down on it as well, leading to your lips meeting midway as you open your eyes in surprise to see him smiling through the kiss. You can't help but smile too, cupping his face and deepening the kiss; the movie now forgotten behind you two. He lets go to catch his breath staring at you with eyes filled with nothing but pure love. "Can we just skip the movie and make out on the couch for the night?" he asks letting your foreheads touch. "Sounds like a great date plan to me" you smile connecting your lips.

"And if I do this challenge with you, will you let me continue with my game?" Gunwook asks holding you tightly in his arms. "Yes, I promise wookie!" you squeak in excitement; currently sprawled in his lap in his gaming chair after having attacked him midway through his game with a pepero. "Well then let's do it" he says grabbing the stick from your hand and placing it in your mouth. You look at him expectedly as he starts to bite down at the other end. Just inches from your face he stops and before you pull away thinking he is done, he grabs your face and attaches your lips together. You sigh against his pillowy lips as he gently aligns your head to the side to give him even more access to the kiss. Leaving you breathless he pulls away with your lips trying to catch his to keep him close. "And we are done" he laughs, picking you up and putting you down on the bed. "But I-" you hesitate trying to pull him closer again for a kiss. "No buts doll, you promised you will let me play after I do the challenge" he teases. "I hate you" you whine at him, wanting to do nothing but have him kiss you again. "I love you too" he winks at you and returns to his gaming chair.

Fans have always liked you and Matthew together, they live for every interaction you have with him. This started since pre-debut, right after contents of zb1 started being uploaded. Back in your boys planet days you didn’t really interact a lot with the boy, but some star creators had the hope that you would end up working together in at least one presentation, it didn’t happen unfortunately but they were over the moon when you debuted together.

Since you were the only girl in the group, you were shipped with basically every one of the group, minus Yujin, since you were an 03 liner. But their favorite pair was with Matthew, which was actually ideal because you two had been dating for about 4 months now. It was the perfect way to hide it.

You were always next to each other, leaning your head on his shoulder or viceversa, him being your helper while you cook (he doesn’t do much, he just likes being near you), him always touching you in any way (hand on your thigh, hands clasped together, arm around your shoulders or waist, etc).

At first you were pretty careful when the cameras were on, until a live where Matthew leaned his head onto yours (he was sitting behind you) and placed his arms around your shoulders. You moved your head upwards to look at him, a loving look on both your eyes and a small blush could be seen on your cheeks if you looked closely (which was what happened.) It was a quick exchange that fans weren’t supposed to catch since you were on one of the ends of the phone’s screen but surprise, surprise, they did.

That small clip of the live went viral, it was EVERYWHERE. After this, you were much much more shipped with him, everyone thought you looked so cute together.

You didn’t think much about it, until your timelines were filled with edits of the two of you and even on fan signs zeroses wanted tons of more new interactions.

“Matt? Have you been seeing more posts of us?” You asked him a few days after the bomb exploded; you were lying together on his bed, just scrolling through your phones while playing with his hair, his head resting on your chest.

sunlight spills into your kitchen through your cracked blinds, illuminating the room in a golden glow. the air conditioner quietly hums from another room, fading into the background and creating an effect akin to white noise. your sock-clad feet glide against the polished hardwood floor of your apartment effortlessly. SEOK MATTHEW chuckles as you twirl around your kitchen, approaching him with a bright smile. 

“come on,” you laugh, reaching out towards him. matthew takes your hand into his own with ease, intertwining your fingers together without a second thought. you can faintly smell the citrusy aroma of his cologne still lingering on the fabric of his shirt. “dance with me.” 

matthew cocks his head as he sighs in faux disbelief. “right now? really?”

matthew relents with a soft chuckle, raising your hands above his head as he gestures for you to twirl around. your bodies move in tandem as you guide him around the small rooms of your cozy apartment. heat floods his cheeks when you laugh loudly. the sound fills the space with light and warmth. it feels like he can never get enough of it. it feels like home. 

matthew’s hand lingers against the small of your back as you lean in, wrapping your arms around his neck. your fingertips caress his bare skin, skimming over the edges where thin fabric gives way to his broad muscles. butterflies swarm throughout his stomach when you lean in to rest your head against the crook of his neck, pressing a faint kiss against the skin you can reach. “i love you, matt,” you whisper quietly. 

a red hue decorates his ears when he leans in to press a feather-light kiss against your temple. “i love you, too,” he murmurs. it’s only when you smile at him, soft and sweet, that matthew knows for sure: he wants to spend the rest of his life with you.

matthew IS OBSESSED with sharing things with you. he is dead serious when he says 'whatever is mine is yours'. cant find anything to wear? just wear his basketball shorts (that are way too big for you). need to call someone? just use his phone. feeling a little chilly? just wear his hoodie. “Question, do any of you know a girl named Y/n?” Matthew asked as soon as he sat with his members at Wakeone’s cafeteria. Thankfully they were the only ones there, either way they sat at their usual table that was far away from the others.

“No, I don’t think so.” Hanbin shook his head. “Why?”

“Oh, no particular reason.”

Ricky raised an eyebrow.

“Okaaay.” The brown haired gave in. “She commented on my last twitter post and I thought she was cute.”

“How do you even know she’s cute?” Taerae questioned.

“Because she has a picture of herself as her profile picture.”

“And how do you know that was her? Maybe she had an idol as her picture.” Zhang Hao reasoned.

“I’m sure it was her, I’ve never seen that face before.” He took out his phone and opened your profile. “Look.”

“She’s pretty.” Gyuvin spoke, Yujin agreed. “She could be an idol.”

“Wait.” Gunwook talked. “She looks familiar, I think I’ve seen her before.”

“What? Where?” Matthew asked.

“I think Ricky and I bumped into her on the hallway the other day…” He trailed. “We weren’t very aware of our surroundings because we were talking and joking around and ended up bumping into her, we apologized and went on our way. I couldn’t really see her face that well since she was wearing a hat and a mask but I remember her eyes.”

“Maybe she was visiting someone or she’s a trainee?”

“Could be the latter, cause why would she cover up if she was just a visitor.” Jiwoong pondered.

“True.”

As they continued to talk and tease Matthew, they failed to hear a group of girls entering the place. They grabbed their lunch and sat by the entrance.

The eldest of the group was in a similar situation to the Canadian. Her members were teasing her about her undying love for the boy.

For some context, she fell in love with him after seeing him dance way before Boys Planet. She had been a trainee for about a month so she kept getting lost in the huge building; that’s how she ended up in the wrong practice room. She peeked through the small window and saw a guy around her age dancing his heart out; she was mesmerized by him. He had such body control and moved so fluently, he made it look so easy. He was an incredible dancer AND cute, two things Y/n liked.

After that, she couldn’t get him out of her head.

“What would you do if he found out about that account? Or saw you somewhere in the building and recognized your face?” Lia asked, genuinely curious.

“Definitely cry, she’s a crybaby.” Yuna teased her.

“Don’t do me like that.” She pouted. “Also, respect me, I’m older than you!”

“Being ancient isn’t something you should brag about, Y/nnie.” Ryujin laughed.

“I’m not that old! And in that case Lia is as old as me.”

“Hey!”

“She’s not wrong.” Chaeryeong giggled, she saw Lia’s hand not that far from her arm so she squealed.

“I gotta go, byeee.” She practically flew from her sit and ran out of the room.

“Get back here, you brat!” Lia followed her.

And that was a normal day with her members.

“So, back to the question.” Ryujin nonchalantly asked as if nothing had happened.

“I guess I’ve never really thought about it.” She leaned back on her chair, thinking. “I would die of embarrassment, that’s for sure. And I’m convinced he doesn’t even know who I am. In all the time I’ve trained here I’ve never seen him around, just that first time and that was totally my fault.”

The two girls nodded. “Just to be safe, you should change for profile picture.” Yuna spoke.

“Yeah, maybe. Anyway, I’m going to the vending machine, you guys want anything?”

“Oh, jellies for me, please!” The blonde spoke.

“Hmm, anything sweet.” The red haired said.

“Okay! I’ll be right back.”

Y/n walked out of the cafeteria and towards the machine that was a few feet away. She grabbed her members’ snacks and stood there contemplating what to get for herself.

“Should I get chips or cookies?” She mumbled to herself. “Maybe both.”

She was so lost in thought that she got startled when she heard a voice beside her.

“Hey.”

“O-oh hi, sunbae.” The girl bowed politely.

“You don’t have to be so formal.” He laughed a little. “You can call me Matthew.”

She nodded, feeling nervous because it was the first time that she talked to her crush or simply stood that close to him.

“I’m Y/n.” She introduced herself.

“Nice to meet you. You look kind of familiar, are you a trainee?”

“Yeah, I’m set to debut later this year with my members.”

“That’s so cool! I wish you all the best.” He said smiling, making her smile as well.

“That’s so kind of you, thank you.”

“Can I ask you something? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.” Matthew decided to be bold and be 100% sure that his assumptions were right. For all he knew, her picture could have been stolen or something.

“Sure, anything.”

“Do you happen to have a twitter fan account? More specifically of me?”

The girl’s eyes went wide open and she swore she got pale, well, more pale than she actually was. She couldn’t believe she got caught and by the only person she thought would never find out.

“E-eh, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She laughed nervously.

“Oh, so you aren’t @/kidz.zone aka Y/n Matthew’s gf?”

She wanted to die in a hole, this wasn’t happening. “Oh god.” She murmured. “Yes, that’s me and before you say anything else I just want to apologize if it made you uncomfortable, that was never my intention.” She rambled.

“Don’t worry, Y/n.” He laughed, making the girl sigh in relief. “I actually find it cute.”

“What?”

“Yeah! It’s adorable seeing you fangirl and the comments you leave.”

“Don’t tell me you’ve entered my profile.” She covered her face.

“I may have checked it out.” Now it was his turn to blush, he didn’t want to seem like a stalker. “I was just curious after your last reply on my post and I may have thought you were pretty.” He mumbled the last part, it wasn’t very loud but she heard it.

“You find me what?” She didn’t believe what he just said; her long time crush found her pretty?!

Both of them were flustered. To be honest, this was the first time Matthew felt this way; it wasn’t like he hadn’t been interested in a girl before or found her cute but he usually didn’t externalize it.
