Hi! Ik you mainly focus on the FACE family but do you have any headcanons about Germany in the public nations au? Love your public nations Tumblr posts btw
Oh Germany probably HATES being in the spotlight. It's not like he has super bad stage fright. He's more than happy to do the hard work that comes with being a nation. But he just doesn't understand why people see everything he does as a noteworthy event. He'll see edits of himself just doing normal shit and will not comprehend why there are so many likes.
In interviews and public appearances, he's completely serious. He wants to put out a good image for his country, and tries really hard to do it. This kind of backfired, because now he keeps getting invited to game shows so the German people can see him laugh and be silly. Of course, he can't refuse because he feels obligated to his job.
I also think he's used a LOT in PSAs. So much so that it's become a bit of a meme both in Germany and abroad. I imagine it becomes a trend to almost do something bad but then a clip of Germany going "Stop!" and scolding the viewer plays, and then follow his instructions lmao. Abroad, the trend is more "When I'm about to jaywalk but the hot German NP tells me to stop."
I think he's super inactive on social media. Most social media appearances are from other nation's post (especially Italy and France). When he does post, it's either because his boss told him to, his dogs did something adorable, or he's at a festival and has loosened up after a few drinks.
I also think that Germany feels a lot of shame about his past. Some people try to paint him as a heartless villain, especially in the context of WW2. Don't get me wrong, he has done some horrible things, and was complacent with the German government at the time, but he disagreed with his old boss' extreme views, and didn't really have a choice. I feel like a lot of people in the Hetalia universe will see these complex, morally gray situations nations are trapped in and take away all nuance. After all, It's easier to scapegoat one person who embodies the nation rather than hold accountable the many criminals and monsters behind atrocities.

Had a conversation last night with a group of non-Americans and I've come to the conclusion that some people don't understand the student debt problem in the USA. Like I was having such a hard time trying to explain that you have to find a way to pay for school WHILE you're going instead of paying it back to the government when you start working which is. Apparently the way it works in some places??
Yeah, university might not be any cheaper in other places, but Americans at 18 years old have to cobble together a mix of private loans and scholarships and family assistance to stay in college at all. I dropped out because I ran out of money and no one would loan me more.

Israel has cut water, electricity and food to Palestinians in Gaza. They are buying 10.000 M16 rifles and plan to distribute to civilian settlers in the West Bank to hunt down Palestinians. They're bombing the only way out of Gaza through Egypt, after telling refugees to flee through it, and have threatened the Egyptian government in case they let aid trucks pass through. Entire families, generations, are being wiped out and left to wander the streets hoping they don't get bombed.
Palestinians are using their last minutes of battery to let the world know about their genocide and are being met with a wall of "What about Hamas? What about the beheaded babies? Killing children on either side is bad!" even though the propaganda claims have been debunked over and over again. How cruel is it to ask somebody to condemn themselves before their last words? Or before grieving the loss of their entire families? When there's no such disclaimer to Israelis even though their government has shown over and over genocidal intent? Like who are you even trying to appease? What will your wishy washy statement do against decades of zionist thought infiltrating evangelical and Jewish stablishmemts?
Take action. Israel will fall back if public opinion turns its tide. The UK fell back on its bloody decision to cut aid to Palestine under public scrutiny. The USAmerican empire spends $3.8 billion dollars annually solely on this proxy war while its people suffer under a progressively military regime as well. News outlets are canceling last minute on Palestinian speakers while letting Israelis tell lies unchecked. Palestinian refugees are being targeted in ICE establishments and mosques are already being hounded by the FBI. France and Germany have banned pro-Palestine protests, while Netherlands and the UK have placed restrictions . You have the chance to stop this from turning into repeat of the Iraq war.
I want to do something but there's hardly anything for me to do from Brasil besides spreading the word and not letting these testimonies fall on deaf ears. I'm asking you to do this same ant work from wherever you are.

The Ultimate Roadmap to Free Education at Public Free Universities in Germany
Tuition fees are one of the main concerns of international students. Thankfully, several public free universities in Germany aim to eliminate inflated tuition fees from the equation. Public free universities in Germany with free certification are free for all: not just students from the European Economic Area (EEA).  By “free,” we mean these universities don’t charge astronomic enrollment fees. Some administrative charges may apply. But, paying partial tuition fees to public free universities in Germany is much, much cheaper than paying full tuition fees at any European college.  Are you a young Indian student planning to do your master's or study MBA in Europe for free? For 15+ years, European Study Institute has helped hundreds of Indian students overcome language barriers and gain entrance into German universities. Is Education Free at Public Universities in Germany? Most “tuition-free” German universities charge students administrative, enrollment, and other basic student services fees. Apart from these semester-wise payments, there are no annual or monthly tuition fees that students have to pay at either bachelor’s or master’s level.  Some postgraduate or post-employment level courses may carry semester fees (e.g., for advanced MBA courses). These fees are called “Semesterbeitrag” & they amount to €300-400 per month.  In comparison to private institutes, these fees are substantially lower in German public universities. Getting a free MBA in Germany for Indian students also involves the following living costs: Rent/Utilities: €350-500 € Food/Drink: €200  Health Insurance: €100  Phone/Internet: €30  Students can easily get by on less than €900 per month. Can I Apply for Scholarships at Free Public Universities in Germany? Visit the official website of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to find an up-to-date list of scholarship programs from private and public universities in Germany.  Can I stay in Germany after Finishing My Course?  Yes. All international graduates, regardless of their educational background or country of origin can apply for a one-and-a-half-year residence permit post-graduation. These “post-study work visas” allow students to apply for any job that suits their qualifications.  How to Apply to Free Public Colleges in Germany? Different public universities in Germany have different application processes, deadlines, and student requirements. Here’s a list of the most highly-rated public free universities in Germany with links to their websites:  Free University of BerlinHumboldt University Berlin Technical University of Berlin University of Hamburg Trier University RWTH Aachen University University of Heidelberg University of Bonn University of Duisburg-Essen Visit these websites to check out their current requirements regarding non-European International students. For more info, visit the DAAD website, Germany-based study portals, and Facebook Groups that consist of International students. How to Get into a German Public University? Plan in advance, build a strong academic and extra-curricular portfolio, and give yourself a few months to complete the application process. Most importantly - learn the language. If you need extra help, contact our German educators at the European Study Institute!

dear pile 1, it seems like the universe here has a different message for you but it's definitely one that you'll need to hear. your next relationship is essentially with yourself. spirit is urging you to look within, and find the love you seek in yourself. love and affection don't necessarily always have to come from a romantic partner; look around you and you'll find many different sources. you have a strong support system, wether in the 3D or spiritually, or both. there's a need for you to retreat and keep yourself in that hermit energy. there's some things you'll need to let go of in order to close a particularly difficult chapter of your life, and as the end of the year approaches, now it's the perfect time to let go of all those negative energies pulling you back from being who you dream of being, so that 2025 can feel like a fresh new beginning. some of you might struggle with addictions or, generically speaking, things that distract you on a daily basis and take you away from spending time doing other more fulfilling things that could benefit you long-term. now it's the time to reconsider your priorities and make amends with the past. what's behind you shouldn't keep you from moving forward. it would be beneficial to open up to one of multiple friends, don't be afraid to ask for help. to-do lists and physical self-care could also help a lot. remember that whatever you're going through it's temporary and it will pass. don't go back to unhealthy situations and toxic behaviors for temporary comfort, act out of love for your future self. take care.

you will meet your next partner at work or this person will offer you a job opportunity. i'm seeing someone receiving bouquets of flowers at their office. this person could be very conventionally attractive, so much that you wouldn't believe they'd be into you, but they will. this will boost your confidence on the long run. you will meet this person at a time in your life where you feel lost or trapped in some kind of situation that might have to do with finances or unemployment. this person will take it in their interests to do the best they can to help you and take you out of your misery. i think they'll be very financially abundant. beware of jealousy that could arise around you, they could have many eyes on them, for some of you they could even be a public figure or someone that's just relatively known on social media. your person will spend a lot of time observing you and trying to read you from afar, they could've been hurt in the past so they'll take a slow and careful approach for fear that you might turn out to be another lesson for them. this relationship will force you to face insecurities and you might have a hard time in terms of self-esteem and confidence initially. communication and honesty are essential here, as lots of misunderstandments could arise out of it. they will definitely be the one to make the first move. this relationship will be filled with passion and could even lead to marriage if that's something you both want. finances won't be a problem for either of you. brace yourself cause it seems like your person is right around the corner! very happy for you :)

your next relationship will be all about healing. whoever this person is, they will almost surprise you with how much love they'll hold for you. it's like finally feeling warmth after spending a whole life out in the cold. i'm seeing someone deeply stuck in their insecurities and self sabotaging tendencies, your mind might tell you you're not deserving of love and this person will take it as their mission to make you believe you are. it's a gentle and caring type of love, one that speaks through actions rather than words. this person will be your anchor and just overall someone you can count on at all times. they're very caring and sweet, they'll treat you as if you were glass. there'll be a lot of deep conversations and opening up to each other. this relationship will be based on trust. it could be someone you already know or already know of. you might have mutual friends and meet at a party or a special occasion that will require you to dress a bit fancier than usual. this person will immediately want to strike a conversation with you and they'll be endeared by your shyness and modesty. it's a relationship that will heal your relationship with yourself and help you see you're much more deserving and worthy than you were raised to believe. you'll definitely have a family together in the future :).
