“We didn’t break up.” And there it is. The absurd, frankly grotesque truth that George had a feeling was going to give him the final blow. But oddly enough, he doesn’t feel like just lying there and bleeding out. “You didn’t break up with him,” he repeats calmly. “No, I didn’t.” “You said you would.” “Yeah, I did.” “But you didn’t.” “But I didn’t.” “Okay.” George’s knees are hurting now, but he stays exactly where he is because he’s got the feeling that lowering himself to Matty’s level would mean losing. And tonight, he isn’t fucking losing. “So we have to stop,” he says, touching the side of Matty’s neck, slowly running the pad of his thumb over his throat. He watches as Matty closes his eyes and nods in a way that lets him know he isn’t losing at all. “Yeah. We have to stop.”

Thirty seconds go by. Forty. Fifty. A minute and then several more. Matty standing by the door. Pathetic. Waiting. He’s gone around the block, that’s all. A walk to get his head on straight. But he’ll be back. He always comes back.  Maybe it’s him standing by the door like this that’s keeping Ross. A watched pot and all that. So he moves away from the front door, goes back into the living room. He sits on the couch with his arms wrapped around himself. The house is so quiet he can hear his erratic heartbeat pulsing in his ears. He can hear all the clicks and taps of the air con and the refrigerator, every tick of the vintage clock on the wall. And then the voice inside his head: Fucked it up again, haven’t you? Lost him for the hundredth time. You’ll never get it fucking right. You don’t deserve him. Never have. After all you’ve done? Fucking stupid. Thinking he’d ever marry you.  He picks his phone up from where he’s left it on the coffee table. He needs to shut the voice up, needs to block out the sounds of this house. He needs Ross, the only one who’s ever been able to make everything go silent for him. But Ross doesn’t want to talk to him now, maybe not ever again. He dials a different number. “Hiya,” he says quietly, apologetically when the other end picks up.

9. Kiss…in public & 19. Kiss…for luck 

Matty felt like he was going to throw up. The spliff he had smoked, what he hoped was stealthily in the bathroom, standing carefully balanced on the toilet seat to exhale directly into the vent fan, George laughing with his hands on his hips to keep him steady, had done absolutely nothing to calm his nerves. If anything, it had only made him more anxious, made him paranoid that everyone could tell he was stoned. Even after rehearsing all week, after playing these songs for months, after writing them himself, he still couldn’t manage to pronounce “thinking this through” properly, the words slurring together in such a way that it had become a meme on TikTok. He was about to fuck up the words to his own song on live broadcast television and then get ridiculed on the internet for having a speech impediment despite all the years of speech pathology he had attended as a child to lose his lisp. 

He knew, rationally, they had been on bigger stages before. He knew rationally, the slur of the line was attributed to his Manchester accent and not his childhood speech impediment. He knew rationally, that even if he didn’t remember it, they had played SNL before. Maybe that’s why he was so nervous, maybe that’s why his stomach was churning ominously, leaving him wondering if he was going to puke or shit himself with nerves, or if he was really lucky, maybe a combination of the two.

He had seen the videos of their SNL performance in 2016, he had seen the articles condemning his “weird” stage presence. He had been high as shit on heroin, drunk as hell on red wine and it was truly a miracle that he had managed the performance at all. He had hazy memories of waking up in the back of the car taking them to the hotel, having fallen asleep with his heavy head on George’s shoulder as soon as they were in the moving vehicle, to hear murmurs of how they probably weren’t ever going to be invited back. The track marks on his arm had itched and shame burned in his chest. At the time, he hadn’t even been sure what they weren’t being invited back to. 

But here they were, seven years later, invited back. Their fifth album was doing better than they could have ever hoped, their sold out North American tour had been met with critical acclaim. They were nominated for another Brit award and Jack had even accidentally on purpose let slip that their name was being tossed around as actual Grammy contenders. And they had been invited back. To play SNL, even though seven years ago Matty had blacked out and then apparently thrown up just off to the side of the stage, barely out of view of the audience. It was time for his redemption arc, time for him to show NBC that he was Matty Fucking Healy, and Matty Fucking Healy was no longer a liability. 

Even though he kind of felt like a liability, standing with his guitar in the green room, trying to remember why he thought being a rockstar was a good idea to begin with. 

The rest of the guys, and their backing band, where sprawled out on the leather couches, fiddling with their instruments, laughing with excitement as Matty paced, strumming a few cords as he did so, trying desperately to calm himself, to remind himself that he was Matty Fucking Healy. Worst case scenario had already happened last time they played SNL, so really he should be relaxed, it could only go up from here. His stomach lurched and he found himself scrambling over to the bar sink in the corner, leaning heavily on the counter, banging his guitar on the cabinet as he moved. He took a deep breath, and swallowed hard. False alarm. He was fine. Everything was fine.

“You guys are up,” said a PA poking his head into the green room, Matty looked up, seeing the look of concern and judgment that PA was giving him. He looked too young to have been around for their first performance on the show, but Matty was willing to bet he had heard about it when it was announced they had been booked. Keep an eye on the little curly one, Matty was sure some senior up stage hand had said. Last time he did heroin in the bathroom then threw up everywhere. 

Matty swallowed hard. It was show time. It was just another show he told himself. Just another show. If he was losing it in front of a crowd of 300 he had no idea how he was going to handle Finsbury that summer- they were expecting 50,000. He knew it wasn’t the size of the live audience. It was the live broadcast and what it represented.

“Hey,” George said, catching his arm just as they were about to step onto the stage, and step into the shine of the lights. He could hear Jenna introducing them, though it sounded far away, like his head underwater, which was surreal enough in itself Matty thought hysterically. “Good luck.” 

He wrapped one of his large hands around Matty’s lower back, skimming the top curve of his arse. He pressed his mouth to Matty’s, in a chaste kiss that Matty found himself melting into, trying to deepen, chasing George’s lips, even as he pulled back. 

“You’re going to be brilliant.” 

The crowd started screaming and Matty looked over his shoulder, realizing with detachment that they hadn’t been as hidden, hadn’t been as off to the side as they had thought, the studio audience had a direct view, a front row seat to George kissing him. 

His next thought was the Taylor Swift song, has anyone ever kissed you in a crowded room. Followed quickly by this meant that the audience did in fact probably see him throw up last time. A hysterical bubble of laughter pulled itself from his chest and he rested his forehead against George’s chest. 

George gave the crowd a sheepish wave before pressing another kiss to the crown of Matty’s head, before stepping back and making his way to his drum kit. Matty spun around and waved at the audience, moving into the spotlight to take his place at center stage, grinning to himself as they played the opening notes of Looking for Somebody (To Love). He already had found somebody to love.

Rating the F1 current teammates based on if they've fucked or if they will.

Haasbands (Nico x Kevin.) Kevin literally said "suck my balls" and I'm 100% sure Nico did. They're too lovely and nice with each other for Nico not to have. Kevin is like, one penalty away from no longer being allowed to be anywhere near a track and he's still committing crimes for Nico.

Lance and Fernando. (Strollonso) These two mfs have the nastiest sex known to mankind and are proud of it. Lance has a thing for dilfs and men like 3 times his age. Lance has too many older men wrapped around his finger oml.

Charlos (Charles x Carlos) These mfs are acting too much like a divorced married couple to not have fucked at least once in their lives. They probably fucked nasty, too.

Chestappen. (Max x Checo) I'm sorry guys, but I have to put them in spot 4 just bc they honestly deserve it. Max has a thing for older guys and Checo has a thing for cheating. These two definitely fucked once. (Maybe drunk or not, but they fucked.)

Pierre and Esteban. (Pierresteban) These two remind me of two exes that just have WAY too much sexual tension. Their relationship is if Pierre took Esteban's virginity, and never called back and ignored him for years after until they got reunited as teammates. I feel like seven minutes in heaven will do them good. (You're either gonna open the door to them fucking or one of them dead. No in between)

Lolex(?) (Logan x Alex) Hey, they gotta get their anger from the team out somehow... They fucked once when they were drunk or just angry at each other. They didn't talk about it after but neither of them can't stop thinking about it.

Landoscar. (Lando x Oscar) Someone get them a room ASAP. They probably want to fuck each other but doesn't know the other one wants it. But Lando looks at him too fondly for there not to be something.

Gewis (George x Lewis) they should probably be higher but to me, they're where they belong. George probably wants to fuck him, but Lewis is still stuck up in his ex to want to feel intimate. They probably did hook up once or twice but Lewis cut it off.

Valterri and Zhou. These dudes are NOT doing the nasty. They probably kissed once just to know what it felt like, and will never do it again.

Daniel and Yuki. Let's be honest, these guys can barely stand each other. Yuki would rather give up cooking than hook up with Daniel. Yuki also wants to have his husband (Pierre) or his boyfriend (Liam) back. Daniel is also too obsessed with Max to think about anyone else.

【Antebellum/AMV】Psycho Killer

Happy Independence Day guys!! Hope you all enjoy this!

Like I've said the theme of this amv is probably: humorously(?) compressed simple antebellum history (1812-1861) group portraits into 4 minutes. So most scenes are basically related to historical facts, and the numbers there are the years of the events. However I'm historically illiterate in antebellum era, and this was something I decided to make before I even understood antebellum people lol. I hope there aren't any big mistakes x

While playing this song on repeat it suddenly struck me that everyone in the antebellum era was a god damned Psycho Killer, hence the idea for this group portrait. It's kinda sad that some of the characters I didn't get a chance to draw or that I didn't know enough about them.

Kiss…to wake up

Matty came to slowly, his head felt heavy and fuzzy, like the static of the car radio when you searched for the correct station or the rainbow hum of the television screens of his childhood when there was no station selected. He let out a soft sigh, unsure if it was in contentment or annoyance at being woken up. His mind didn’t feel clear enough to decide, still in that sweet in between haze of awake and asleep. He could feel that someone was behind him, hovering over him, kneeling with his legs on either side of Matty’s own, though keeping his weight off of Matty’s back. Matty shifted his own weight, bumping his hip into George’s knee. 

“You need to wake up and roll over love,” said George softly, pressing a kiss to the back of Matty’s neck. Matty hummed in acknowledgement but made no effort to move, causing George to chuckle and press another kiss to his back, lower this time, followed by another and another, tracing the curve of his spine.

“I don’t want to,” Matty slurred, pressing his nose into the crook of his elbow, eyes still squeezed shut. George chuckled and kissed the small of his back, just above the curve of his arse where the waistband of his swim shorts cut across his skin. Matty involuntarily found himself lifting his hips to press back against George’s mouth. George bit down lightly on Matty’s love handle, the elastic waistband digging into the soft flesh of his sides, before nosing his way back up Matty’s spine, tracing the dip of his spinal column with his tongue before nipping again at the base of his neck. Matty gasped, shocked at the sting. 

“You need to roll over Matthew,” said George again, “your back is burnt to a crisp.”

Matty groaned. 

“I put more sunscreen on for you,” said George, “but it’s too late, you’re burnt and it’s only going to get worse.” He pressed another kiss to Matty’s neck. “You need to wake up, love.” 

Matty let out an exaggerated sigh, but rolled over, and propped himself up on his elbows and arched his neck to look up at George who was straddling him with a grin. 

“Happy now?” Matty asked, his mind still felt syrupy and thick, his thoughts moving slow and sluggish, like honey tipping out of the bottom of the bottle. He was sleepy and sundrunk, he wanted George, a beer, and to go back to sleep, in that order. 

“Very,” said George, leaning down to kiss Matty deeply, biting at his lower lip before licking into his mouth, suffocating him with his love. Matty whimpered, falling back onto his back, his hands coming up to dig into George’s shoulder, pulling him off balance and all the closer, their bare, sweat slick chests sticking together, their skin dragging together as George moved above him. Matty dug his toes into the sand curling them as heat pooled in his lower belly. He was wide awake now.

His sunburn ached as it rubbed against the terrycloth of the beach towel had was laying on, and he had sand in his hair, his curls already matted together with the salt from the ocean he and George had frolicked through earlier, Matty laughing as George picked him up and tossed him into the waves. 

George kissed his jawline, moving to mouth at his neck, sucking and licking and biting and making Matty’s already foggy head spin with desire as he tried to swallow back the sounds desperate to claw their way from his throat. He knew he was loud, that he was vocal with his pleasure, but he didn’t want to break the stillness that had settled over the cove they were nestled in, didn’t want to draw attention to the way he was thickening in his swim shorts, heavy where he was trapped against the hard planes of George’s body. He wanted to stay lost in George’s mouth forever, anything else was too much effort.

George pulled back, mouth slick and swollen, Matty was sure his own lips looked the same. He let out a soft grumbling sound, unamused that George was no longer kissing him within an inch of his life. 

“You should put some sunscreen on your chest,” said George, looking down at Matty, his weight settled over his hips, effectively pinning him to the sand. “You’re looking a little pink.”

“I’m fine,” Matty said, blinking up at George, if George wasn’t going to kiss him, wasn’t going to grind against him, he wanted a cold beer and then to go back to his nap. He was thirty four years old, he wasn’t as desperate for physical attention as he had been in his youth. 

George raked a nail across Matty’s chest, making him gasp with pain while a shiver of arousal worked its way down his back as he struggled to keep his hips from bucking up involuntarily. Maybe he wasn’t as immune to the physical aspect as he had thought. George just smirked, clearly feeling like he had won. He reached over Matty’s shoulder to the backpack that was nestled in the sand by his head, containing their phones and wallets for safe keeping. 

George pulled out a bottle of sunscreen, and poured a generous amount of the thick creamy white lotion into his palm. He rubbed his hands together, distributing the lotion, before placing a hand on either side of Matty’s neck, causing him to take a shuddering breath as he dragged his hands across the column of his throat bringing them together and down over the bump of his clavicle. George’s smirk grew as he massaged the lotion into Matty’s chest, taking care to work it into the ink of his tattoo, skimming his nipples and tickling his sides. Matty was breathing heavily now, trying to seem unaffected even as George purposely shifted his weight, and dug his fingers into Matty’s flank trying to get him wound up, trying to get him to break first. He wished he hadn’t slept through George reapplying sunscreen to his back.

Matty couldn’t take the teasing anymore, he reached up and wrapped a hand around the back of George’s neck, tugging him back down for a kiss, grinding his hips up against George’s own. He could feel George rock hard and leaking against his stomach, the fact that they were rutting against each other like teenagers making his stomach tingle.  

“You awake now?” George asked cheekily, as they panted, breathing into each other's mouths.

Matty didn’t even bother giving him a response.
