diluc ragnvindr - headcanons

absolutely either goes to bed at 8pm on the dot, or stays up until hes too weary to even read the time

although despising alcohol, he enjoys an occasional glass of fine, high-grade wine (he never finishes it)

in his prime years, he used to tie his hair up with ribbons, typically satin black ones

enjoys taking late night walks, admiring the views mondstadt has to offer, watching the sunset dawn below the horizon

plays the violin, he was taught by his father, though he rarely plays. on particularly solemn nights, he plays the last tunes crepus taught him

befriends the local cats by dawn winery, ordering the maids to set out milk and food for them

very secretive with his personal life, people hardly know anything about him after his father's death

he holds much regret with what happened that night with kaeya, a part of him pleads a second chance

constant nightmares, his past haunts him. can hardly sleep at night, frequently laying on his bed (widely awake), letting fatigue pass him out

keeps many childhood photos of kaeya and him, he looks back on them more often than he'd like to admit

Genshin headcanons: You've woken up from a nightmare and they're beside you.

note: yeah the genshin men are bad ass but them in comfort settings is my own comfort

Diluc:

Will look over at you confused and slightly startled as you wriggle into his side but will then slowly and hesitantly place an arm around you. When you're drifting back to sleep, he'll hold you closer to him. Unbeknownst to you, he was also struggling to sleep but with you by his side and your warmth against his skin, he finds peace and can sleep.

Kaeya:

You wake up from a nightmare but his arms are already around you and despite his Cryo vision affinity, his touch is warm and you turn to face his chest, moving in closer. He stirs slightly awake but his eyes are still closed and his arms around your body will pill you closer. He's half asleep but will kiss your forehead, ask "You alright love?" sleepily and pull the covers up just a bit more.

Xiao:

Is already and perhaps always awake and after hearing you mutter sleepy words about a nightmare, he nearly tells you about nightmares being a foolish thing to be afraid of but when he sees how shaken you are, let's you scoot closer as he sits awake on the bed, leaning against the headboard, a hand running through your hair. He used to have nightmares all the time himself, so as you go back to sleep, he reassures you there is nothing to be afraid of since you're not alone, as it is what he told himself whenever he woke up with no one else by his side. Although his head is turned to the side, he is glad he can be there.

Zhongli:

Upon hearing your nightmare, he will gently stir you awake and as you sit up sleepily, he'll get you a cool drink so you can calm down. Then as you yawn and get ready to sleep again, he'll slide in beside you, prop you up so you're leaning on him as he's leaning on the headboard. With his glasses on, he will flip open a book he's reading and then, with his gentle voice begin to read. You'll fall back into sleep listening to his soothing voice and the gentle thudding of his heart.

Childe:

Teucer often had nightmares so he'll hold you gently but firmly, calling your name until you're awake and wipe away whatever tears were running down your cheek. When you look up through half open eyes, he'll kiss your nose and turn the bedside light on and then as he settles back into bed beside you, tell you some tales of his childhood and adventures to make you laugh. He makes you laugh too well and you're too awake to sleep again so you both go to get something to eat at some ambiguous time of night and spend the rest of the night messing about doing god knows what.

Albedo:

You wake up alone but that's okay because most nights, Albedo is always busy experimenting away. But the night you have a nightmare, you wander out of the room with the covers in your arms, wrapped around your body and you'll sleepily knock on his door. You'll enter in yourself and he'll be there on his desk, hunched over, immersed in his latest work. But when he sees you standing there, slightly dazed still half asleep and looking lost, he'll tell you to come over so you can sit on his lap and he'll let you rest your head in the crook of his shoulder as he continues working. When you're drifting back to sleep, he'll gently carry you back into the bed and place something by the bed side — a little concoction he made to chase away nightmares because you had been having them recently.

Imagining these made me feel so warm :( I love the genshin men but honestly, imagining them in comfort scenarios gives me a lot more comfort and butterflies than any other scenarios haha. I hope you enjoyed reading :D
