As for her lore, shes a mad scientist basically. She has a weird ideology about science, considering it a form of art. A former researcher of the Fontaine Research Institute, she quit after she found hereelf misaligning with the way the institute handles itself. She now works as a freelancer that takes comissions on the go, her latest one being an offer given by Wriothesley regarding a particular secret project.

Her past is a little cloudy but she was once a member of high society, her mother a diplomat from Sumeru who settled in fontaine after marrying a noble from Fontaine. She's since been disowned by the family due to several complications. Not that she cares.

Whats her vision element? Geo? Anemo? Sike. Its Electro. Misdirection– its on the back of her jacket.

so i just played through Cyno's story quest it was great, just wanted to share some of the Nahida dialogue that i caught

Sethos- after the funeral for his grandfather

I honestly feel like these are really important lines and I'm surprised they are locked behind Nahida

this was just funny to me. some haikavehass behaviour tbh (except they were like so chill in this quest they didn't even argue once)

i am begging all “x reader” writers to use a universal tag.

as in, a tag that is not specific to a single fandom or, god forbid, a single character within that fandom.

that could be “x reader” or “character x reader” or “reader insert” or something else entirely

Paimon and Alhaitham have such a cute relationship.

First it was the way he kept sending books for her after her apparent interest in what he was reading in the Sumeru archon quest. His first birthday letter, and now his second one too.

He doesn't treat her with any kind of irony or condescendance when he suggests she reads more book - like everything else he does, it's very blunt but genuine.

And now, it looks like now she's starting to imitate him!

Their relationship is only sprinkled here and there, but it's really damn sweet.

If you'll humor me, here's a brief discussion of bird anatomy: when bird feathers are still developing, they're called pin feathers! They're covered with a protective keratin sheath, which needs to be removed when the feather is fully developed. Birds usually remove the sheath when they "preen", but they need help (either from humans, or from other birds) to remove the sheaths from hard-to-reach places.

Now that we've established some base knowledge, consider: Venti needing help after molting and growing new feathers. He can reach some of them, thanks to having, y'know, hands, but the feathers near the very base of his wings are a problem. It's also a little more difficult to remove them, since birds' beaks are shaped better for the task than our hands.

So if you help him with the process of removing those pin feathers, once they've grown in and are starting to feel uncomfortable-- he'd be over the MOON with gratitude. It's super relaxing, too-- you can have him in your lap, with his back toward you, gently caressing his wings and slowly easing out the itchy little sheaths of keratin. As if he didn't already enjoy having you touch his wings, Venti would be totally blissed out as you take care of him, the tension relieving him with each new feather you help him unfurl.

Never too late, you could come to me 50 years down the line, long after this blog's inevitable end, and I'll rise from the depths like some unholy lovecraftian creature true story

So, really thinking about it, the entire backside of his wings would count as a hard to reach place since they're so big and hands only reach so far, kinda cute to imagine him trying to do it himself though, just reaching as far as humanly possible with a concentrated expression only to lose his balance and have to pull himself back up with a huff

I did look into it a bit more and it seems to be either a yearly or bi-yearly experience depending on the bird, so I imagine he just intensely looks forward to the collection of days you'll indulge him, I wouldn't even put it past him to mark it on a personal calendar (that he mainly dedicates to events relating to you) just to be able to cross off the days till

Just imagining him completely blissed out, only half conscious enough to protest if you even think about moving your hands away, 👌

It'd probably take multiple hours, knowing how big his wings are, so by the end of it he'd be completely and wholly out of it

And I'm 100% sure that you'd be the only one he'd let do it, maybe in the past when he only had some closer friends to help out he'd be more open with who he asked to partake, it's not entirely an 'intimate' act by nature, and attempting to do it all himself would just lead to frustration and possible injury, so he couldn't really afford to be picky

But now that you're here, his incredibly benevolent savior, you're the only living being he'd ever want for any act involving his wings, especially if you've taken any interest in them at all

And of course he's so incredibly grateful, unbelievably greatful that you indulge him so, but all it really does is make him that much more possessive of you

He can't help it that he needs you, both mentally and physically, you provide so much for everyone whose lives you touch so it's difficult to get you all to himself, but he needs you so much more than anyone else, he couldn't imagine living day to day without you and this is just another reminder of that

But now, imagine that exact same scenario with the addictive touch au, I think it might actually kill him, but that's probably the way he'd want to die anyway so—

You had absolutely no idea that you would be shredded in Genshin Invocation TGC. You had just suffered the most humiliating defeat, and to TIMMY no less. That PIGEON BOY.

Ugh. UGH. Just- UGGGHHHHHH!!!

It’s time to go home and wallow in your self pity…

But guess who’s made himself comfy on your loveseat… again…

“Oh, Windblume, I had a feeling I’d be seeing you soon! I just was taking care of your animal companions, that’s all…since I got here before you, I thought we could get to know one another…isn’t that right, my lovely fluffy friends?”

He’s covered in the foxes you adopted from Inazuma. All of them are snuggled up with him, lying all over him and making their adorable fox noises. You don’t know what they’re talking about, but clearly, the bard in residence does. He turns his attention back to the fox that he is cradling much like a baby, who you know to be the whiney one.

You love him very much, but that little guy is whiney.

“Oh, well, they’re right there? Don’t you see?” He chuckles warmly as the fox shuffles out of his arms and runs to you, pawing at you and whining for you to pick him up.

“H-he’s been waiting for you, my Windblume…all he yapped on about was you! somehow, he’s even more eager to see you than me…haha!!!”

“Aww…”

You nuzzle the creature innocently, and it makes the wind spirit watching you blush.

“And…what about, pray tell,…hmm…me? I presume I’m chopped liver now, hmm?” He pouts.

You look up at him and give him a look. He gives you a pouty one. It’s so over-the top that you can’t help but giggle as you come towards him.

“Well my friends, move aside…our Windblume here is taking their rightful spot on my shoulder!” He perks up, his pouty facade instantly becoming gone with the wind.

“Now, my beloved, tell me, would you like my right or~”

You’re sliding into his lap, and his cheeks flush with heat.

“M-my dearest, I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but, I, uh…”

It comes out as more of a purr.

“That’s not exactly my shoulder. That’s…my lap.

“Oh. I had absolutely no idea.”

Your fake deadpan shock has him reeling on the inside. For seductions sake and the sake of the little fox who’s somehow still snuggled into your chest…he moves to whisper into your ear.

“Oh…did you really now?”

Now that you’re here… he’d prefer if you stayed a while. He wraps his arms around you, pulling you closer into him and trapping you.

“Hmmm…I see how it is…”

It seems like the other foxes got the hint, and they’re giving their new friend and their dearest adopter some space…

Not that one apparently.

The windborne archon moves into kiss you, but is interrupted by a paw to his lips. You cackle.

“Oh! Right…I’m sorry…I forgot to tell you!!!”

He boops him on the nose.

“Unfortunately for you, lad…this Windblumes already mine…

He gently takes the fox in a gust of wind and plops him within his other fox companions. He whines, but an older, and wiser fox shakes it’s head and grabs him by the scruff, and the leash departs.

He’d get the talk sooner or later.

“Thank youuuuu….!” He sings as they leave. The instant the two of you have privacy, he acknowledges your confusion.

“Poor fella never got the memo…oh well, now he knows!!!”

He eagerly pulls you in for a kiss.

After a little while, you forget what you were so upset about…

“So…tell me, my warrior… *another kiss*…what has upset you so dearly earlier…”He wastes no time in claiming your lips once more.

“Uhm…do you really want to know?”

“I’d like to hear your…your retelling…yes…” He purrs.

“My-my retelling?”

He chuckles darkly, and moves to kiss your neck as he massages your back and waist.

“Do you not remember, my beloved? The wind hears everything…

“Everything?”

you can still hear the old Furina in her voice, but there's also this new, more subdued and gentle tone to her that signifies how she's dropped the mask and it just makes her sound so real and human
