i will most definitely get around to answering asks tomorrow (i'm so deeply sorry for the delay), but for today, i have something for the genloss au from a while ago.

so basically, gl!ranboo is technically alive, but their head is still in the box. and they can see just fine. i don't know how any of this works, so neither does anyone else. especially gl!charlie.

I finally finished the sketch of Unperson Ranboo I started 4 months ago, except instead of actually finishing it, I just turned it into a fancier sketch. He's still suffering, but now it's in HD!

Sneeg Log #1

We were out getting a few things for our ever-diminishing food supply the other day when we came across this little guy. He was laying in one of those boxes that you’d see in the cartoons; the ones labeled “FREE CAT” with a free cat inside.

Charlie and I didn’t think too much about it, as we can’t really take care of a cat right now. But the second Ranboo peeked their head over the box, the cat immediately made a beeline towards them.

So we have a cat now. His name is Moose (that was Ranboo’s idea) and he and Ranboo are basically inseparable. It’s adorable, and it’s good that they’re happy, but I don’t know how to take care of a fucking cat! It’s like a little child that can only respond by biting and scratching! Now that I mention it… that’s still the case with a lot of little kids.

More updates on the way, if you know how to take care of a cat, please tell us. Also there’s what Moose looks like.

Little ramble below.

My original idea was a short animatic that I may still do that featuring Hetch to this part of the song:

It was going to be more in-line with canon and the general perception of Hetch, or maybe just him being extra envious that he spent so long with Showfall only for some random fucking guy to get the title of The Hero.

I like how this turned out more though. I love the idea of Hetch and Ranboo just getting to be two powerhouses forcing their way out of the facility. (Spoiler; in this au Hetch doesn’t escape. Smile.)

silly goofy ways that gl!ranboo (and others) could have survived (for your aus!!)

charlie ignored ranboo when they told him not to take the axe because he was like. nah I'm hella buff i can handle it (and then they chop down the planks and make it outside).

ranboo waited like two seconds more before inputting the code so sneeg gets outside. sneeg then grabs a car and comes bulldozing in the mall and demolishes like all of the showfall people (picking up charlie and ranboo along the way).

the puzzler's ghost shows them the way out.

ranboo ignores hetch in the beginning and is too lazy to destroy the systems or whatever so he says nah I'm gonna leave and then go to the police (they still wake up charlie and then find sneeg outside).

instead of inputting a code in the computer, ranboo makes a bomb that will go off after like. a day or something. calls it good and then finds the others and they leave.

or, for the code they just keyboard smash / put something funny because fuck it and then it actually turns out to be the right code (hetch rigged it so all the "answers" would have set it off except ranboo actually got it right by pure luck)

ranboo doesn't do their bow thing and decks hetch in the face instead.

There are a lot of scenes I want to draw now that chapter 3 is out, but I decided on this one first since I haven't done any complex poses or expressions in a while (and may still be avoiding anything with a proper background). It took over half a dozen sketches to get it right since I couldn't find any close enough references for the pose, but it was a fun challenge, and I'm proud of how it turned out.

(I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again as many times as I need to: if you haven't read Unperson, you're missing out! It's genuinely one of the best stories I've ever read, and unless you have a problem with it living rent-free in your brain, you won't regret it.)
