Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

a thing I noticed: from the posts I’ve seen Timmy tends to favor using Cosmo as items over Wanda (weapons, the switch, etc). Is there a really behind this? I haven’t seen much of the show so I’m not sure if it’s based on canon or not

In the main games (Unite!, Battle for Volcano Island and Attack of the Toybots) he always uses Cosmo as his main weapon while Wanda is his backpack (in Unite) or just stays with him for support.

I personally headcanon that Wanda plays a more defensive role for Timmy during combat (like she's in charge of deflecting attacks Timmy might not be prepared for with magic barriers), but of course she could also handle being on the offense as well whenever Timmy is in the mood for dual-wielding

thinking about how mulder loves to get scully a gift, usually terribly heartfelt, even if disguised as something flippant:

the superbowl vhs tape he brings her when she wakes up from her coma in one breath (and her deadpan "i knew there was a reason to live")

tickets for a football game to watch together in irresistible

bringing her flowers to the hospital in memento mori (he lies, saying he stole them from a guy with broken legs to make her laugh)

the birthday keychain in tempus fugit (and when she finds a meaning to it, he claims "i just thought it was a pretty cool keychain")

that is a man who is always thinking about her.

can we. can we talk about how in the founder’s cut episode three does not go just labeled as restricted content, but how it doesn’t get labeled until the last scene?? in which it is called the hero???? instead of the choice?????? like that actually made me almost get up and take a lap because ough the implications that showfall is trying to make the audience believe that past ep 2, it’s no longer a show, but they are Very proud of the fact that the final scene is in fact not only part of the show, but an entire finale episode all on its own

I know that it's common fanon belief to see Starlo as the younger sibling between him and Orion, but I actually like the idea of Starlo being the older brother and what it means for his family dynamic. Generally, the older sibling is expected to be the more responsible and mature sibling in the family. There's this expectation that the older sibling sets an example for the younger sibling(s) and that they'll look after the family/business once the parents get too old to do so themselves. So, what does it mean when the older sibling sorta betrays those familial expectations by behaving immaturely and ditching the family to do their own thing?

I'm trying to figure out how to put this into words in a clear and concise way, but I feel like if it's a case of Starlo being the younger brother, then there's this sorta "Ah, that's just the younger brother acting like a kid, y'know how it is. He'll grow out of it" dynamic, whereas if Starlo is the older brother, then it's more of a "Okay, he should've grown out of this by now, why's he still acting like this? Even Orion is more mature than him; what is going on?" sorta deal. (This frustration would be especially felt by Orion, who has to pick up Starlo's slack in his stead because his older brother isn't mature enough to work like he's supposed to!!!)

These are just personal musings, don't take my word as gospel! You can still do tons of interesting things with the Sunnyside family while having Starlo be the younger brother and Orion the older one. I just find myself gravitating more towards seeing Starlo as the older sibling.

robin's position in the Family is so interesting to me

she seems to kind of be representing the family publically through her career, and yet she holds basically no direct political power in penacony. she was raised by the oak family but only sunday was fully informed about the stuff going on internally. the line in the 2.3 quest that she is "as good as her brother" (or something similar) implies that the high-ranking family members didn't really value her all that much prior to the trailblaze mission's events

but she is so recognizable and such a big public figure that she still generates penacony good publicity and exposure, which, for the family, means more profit and an easier time covering up their asses about any corruption happening behind the scenes. and that makes her very valuable in the family.

and for that reason, I feel like robin being this shining beacon of harmony was also very appreciated by followers of the order because of her personal connection to both gopher wood and sunday, who were both very involved with all that. and in a way she just increases their trustworthiness by simply existing

her having no political power and limited information also works to prevent her from distancing herself from the family because of its corruption. she would not stand for things like the order, so the only way to keep her involved is to just not tell her shit

basically my point is that robin and sunday were both kind of taken advantage of by the family and raised to be their figureheads

and it's really interesting to think about

AU where Jily and Blackinnon both have sons on July 31st, and the prophecy is about two brothers who will vanquish the dark lord.

Harry and his godbrother form their own Marauders group (which obviously includes Ron), and yes, Harry recognizes Ginny a lot sooner thanks to his brother. Lil Black has his heart set on another redhead, aka Harry's little sister, and he doesn't know how to come to terms with his feelings.

TYYY and no i dont mind answering any questions for entangled au, it helps me for writing, to answer your question though yes she has! gangle has some trouble expressing her true emotions around her candidates/cast and jax tends to easily unravel her (making her upset/angry) i have a comic idea on showing "angry" gangle!

me about isagi so bad . him and rin and bachira i would not be able to stop myself from cooing at them. it is some kind of sickness and disease. i genuinely think about it so much KJDSFHFKJD. it makes up so much of my bllk daydreaming....

isagi is my beloved so forreal but being honest there is something . something about rin itoshi that makes me want to coddle him so fucking badly KJFDSJSDK. i know he would hiss and bite at me like cat but i want to do it so bad... i need to pinch his cheek... need to praise him... i can't believe what writing him has done to me i didn't even like the guy a couple months ago .

but he is just sooo... he truly activates the worst of my service top habits. its such a sickness anon it literally plagues me to think about it.

its the same for isagi though i think his reaction is a bit more cutesy when he's being pampered. it's sweet and thoughtful - very charming in a diff way from rin !!! he's like ... quite embarrassed and incredibly loveable the whole itme. isagi appreciates the being pampered and he's good at adapting to his partner, though he can't fully let himself indulge in it (a pride thing). rin is also embarassed but he wants to fight about it.

the only who really lets you spoil spoil him though is in my mind bachira. he loveeesss being spoiled and looked after and kissed and cuddled and he will simply not feel any embarrassment about it ever. he IS your baby and everyone should know actually. he will crawl into your lap or have you pulled into his... actively asks you for praise and attention (and gets . alarmingly aggressive when you're busy. he is a danger to society) but when he's happy he's like a docile sweetheart.
