Going thru asoiaf yet again and while i believe lsh is gonna be the aerys for Brienne, i just realized Gendry is with the brotherhood which means there may be some interaction with zombie mother in law which may tie up with his future with Arya OMFG

Am I only one who was weirded by show gendrya? I mean in early seasons Maisie was 15 yrs approx with baby face and Joe was 24 yrs something and people were already shipping them. Also some of people wanting Maisie to age up so that they can have weird sex fantasies which just happened in the end. I once saw Joe interview early seasons saying he was uncomfortable because Maisie and Arya were young.

Honestly? I was thrown off and it was really thrown in there in a weird way, but Jesus fuck, after the parade of violent rape that D&D gleefully created throughout the entire series I am decidedly NOT pressed that Arya and Gendry decided to have sex because they wanted to.

me, tipping back on my chair as usual: tbh idk if theyre trying to portray some sort of a bad coping mechanism but people who shared the same amount of trauma just............. wont do that to each other, u know? arya and gendry were both unwilling participant of war and were basically made and shaped as child soldiers; they were both hunted by essentially the same force of group who had forced them to live in the run to avoid said group; like...... they’re children. do people realise this? arya grew through her pre-teen (early age of puberty) when she was with gendry and hot pie. you don’t just up and forget this, i think? and gendry. gendry who have an absolute mistrust towards the whole world, who have a deep-rooted bitterness, trusts this one little girl and hot pie to essentially survive on a day-to-day basis. he was a fucking sixteen year old kid. this wasn’t the life they should’ve been living. but they had

me, tipping even more so on the back of my two legs of chairs: arya have displayed a very traumatic effect of ptsd because she already “couldn’t sleep” and yeah, ok, so the list is one of her way to cope with everything and it’s not - exactly the healthiest. but it’d helped. but point is, like.............. she was yikes! traumatised folks! and gendry? gendry was.. betrayed. twice. by two group of people he should’ve never been betrayed by; by two group of people who he has deemed family and is actually his family members. and then ser davos had to send him back to king’s landing? the one place in the world he won’t feel safe in? because the lannisters were also looking for him? do you have any idea the stress that would put on him? to just, live every day in that kingdom worried that you’ll be taken away, and then to learn that the only friend you trusted might’ve perished away in a brutal mass murder, and that she was the only one, throughout those years together, who didn’t betray you? but then you’re on your own. and you’re a sensible dude, you knew you didn’t betray her, but one day you woke up and you’re convinced that you did? it’s your fault she’s dead, it’s your fault you’re back here scared half your mind all the bloody damn time, it’s your fault you’re alone again when she was right there, have offered to be your family.

me, now nearing my Death(tm): i’m just saying.......... i get that the both of them have had different experiences post-their separation. but. personally, as the black widow had said in captain america: the winter soldier (2014), “believe it or not, it's kinda hard to find someone with shared life experiences.” and when you do, you don’t.......... just sex them up and leave them behind. gendry won’t just... let it happen and leave her be, either. you know? but that isn’t even the problem. when you look back at it, even the way they were reunited was — also really stiff up until gendry broke down a bit of a wall and she smiled. but. realistically, it should’ve been longer. again, they were children when they started. arya spent the early days (years, really) of her long journey back home with gendry as her centre point, and gendry the same. they have had the similar concern of being wanted together, took care of one another when the world didn’t or couldn’t, was there for each other when others aren’t able to. and it’s not just like, over the fucking weekend. those are months and years with just them having to rely on one another, this one child to another and hot pie, another child by the way!, along. and then, what, when they meet, suddenly those years vanished? suddenly it’s just about mutual attraction and sexual tension? suddenly its just a one-night-stand for arya and gendry just letting her be when she treated him like that? mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

me, already on my ass which are sprawled all over the floor: anyways! just saying lads! you don’t always easily meet someone with a shared life experience is all! when you do, you dont really! push them away? unless! of course! they’re trying to portray a very bad coping mechanism (by sabotaging a very stable, entirely trust-based, aged-old relationship, either platonic or romantic) by which, i suppose, they succeed! but u know. whatever. gendry is storm king.

Sooooo, I think Gendry is dying in the next episode. But I don't think he is staying dead. I think he'll be brought back by end of episode 3 or beginning of episode 4.

I think the hints were there this episode. Him and Arya talking about Melisandre and what she did to him, and on top of that Davos having that scene with the little girl with the (presumably) greyscale scare on the side of her face. He was clearly thinking of Shireen. The Hound asked Arya if Beric was on her list and she said he was for a little while. The same as the red woman was for a min. Plus Melisandre straight said her and Arya were gonna meet again seasons ago, so. Mel is gonna be showing up any minute now.

I think Gendry is gonna die and it is gonna be terrible, but also maybe kind of good lol ??? As in if Gendry is wounded super badly but doesn't die immediately, him and Arya might have some nice heartfelt shit to say to each other for one (before she has to kill him and I weep) and it could help propel their feels and relationship forward more quickly when he is brought back, we've only got 4 episodes left, there isn't time to go slow with this stuff.

So with Davos and Arya/Gendry's unfinished business with Mel being brought up I think we're getting dead Gendry, Mel returning, Arya and Davos being murderous for a hot min, then them both being like 'bring him back or perish bish'. She took him from Arya once and killed Dadvos' adopted daughter, she's gonna have to bring his adopted son and Arya's man back or she can't stay.

Oh my god yes okay. I assume that Arya and Gendry decide to go Really Simple and just blurt it out at the dinner table and everyone has their own reactions. 

Sansa has been trying to get Gendry and Arya together ever since she first saw them interacting. She always pushes them together and would leave the room giggling to herself. 

Gendry and Arya kept their relationship secret and when Sansa found out she was #offended that they didn’t at least tell her. 

“You’re not part of our relationship Sansa.” “I sHOUld HAVE AT LEAST KNOWWWWWWWWN.” 

Jon and Robb tried giving the Shovel Talk but it didn’t really work because Arya said she’d beat up Robb if he did and Jon was too torn between going “well obviously if you hurt my sibling I’m going to fight you” and “you’re one of my best mates I’m so happy you two found each other.” 

Bran and Rickon found out because they were going into the living room. They were just chatting and being happy and boom a Gendrya makeout on the couch. With wide eyes Rickon softly went, “Nope” and backed out, only to come back and wheel Bran (who was too wide eyed to even think about moving) out the room. 

It basically turned into a whole Friends “They don’t know that we know” situation. RIckon and Bran kept making jokes and side eyeing Gendrya. Kept trying to do joke blind dates for the two until the dinner announcement, and with Gendry adding on, “I mean...I love Arya.” 

There was a brief silence and then Rickon went, “Aww, we didn’t know you loved Arya. We just thought you’d been casual dating for a few months. Good on you mate, she’s awesome.” 

Gendry, completely stunned: “How’d you know? Bran, is this - is this one of those weird things you know?” 

Bran: “Nah mate it’s kind of hard to miss when you two kiss in our shared living room.” 

Cat probably was able to tell from the beginning. She took one look at them the day they became official and went “you two are together, aren’t you?”

Arya: “Come on, what - I would never - the very thought of - fine, how’d you know?” 

Cat: “I’m your mother. I know.” 

Ned is honestly So Done with his kids and their random announcements that when Arya announces that she and Gendry are dating at the dinner table he goes, “I’m happy for you, honey,” and continues eating. 

Gendry, joke-mumbling to Arya: “Well, he didn’t tell me he was happy for me.” 

Ned: “I’m happy for you too, honey.” 

Gendry, visibly tearing up: “Thanks Mr. Stark.”

somewhere in s4 - s5, gendry was by the docks to settle a new shipment of steel. and he was coming back after running a few errands when he saw a little girl with pale eyes and brown hair (chopped) ran by him. gendry didn’t really think much about it. he was startled, turned, before hearing another name came up from the kids who were chasing the girl around. but by the time gendry turned the two corners ahead, he was clutching his chest and scratching the walls because he couldn’t breathe. when gendry sobbed, it was muted. nobody who passed by really pay him any mind. by the time gendry realised he was okay again, the sun was already setting. when he went out that day, it was still afternoon.
