I saw a headcanon that demons are genderless beings and they just look as they like, and i actually like it. But it's only in some parallel universe, OG/NB obey me demons are faaaar from that😭

As Asmodeus hardcore fan and a giant lover of feminine guys, i really think that transfem or demigirl Asmo is really stupid. In my eyes he is fully Cis man, in fact, even more cis than cis men. OMG, if you like makeup it doesn't make you a girl. OMG, if you are a guy who calls himself princess, it doesn't immediately turn you into a transfem. And OMG, if a cis guy will stop feeling like a guy if he will wear a pink dress, then he is not a cis guy!!!

Clothes are just clothes, hobbies are just hobbies, Asmo is never been shown as transfem and for me, he will always be the cissiest guy in the world, whos masculinity cannot be broken by society and stereotypes. If he doesn't look like a typical guy, he is still a guy. The max non-cis-guy headcanon that i think is okay is something like Demi-boy, but nothing else.

Our Obey Me! MC, Aries! He’s a genderqueer trans boy who is pansexual and polyamorous. We write him in various combinations of dating the boys(TM) but in his “true” canon (based on the fictive we have of him in our system lol) he’s in two triad relationships with Lucifer+Diavolo and Solomon+Asmodeus. 

He is shy when meeting new people, but once he’s comfortable with someone he comes out of his shell. He loves teasing his demon pactmates and causing mischief, and is generally known as a sarcastic ball of sunshine. He loves animals and spent a lot of time with them since he lived on a farm as a kid, so he bonded early on with Lucifer and Levi about their pets. (He affectionately calls Cerberus “Puppy”, and with the help of his powerful latent magic and many treats he built a strong rapport with the canine.)

Asmodeus helped him get into fetish modeling, through which he also took up photography as a hobby. When he became Solomon’s apprentice he vowed to spend his free time practicing potions on crafting things “Asmo would approve of”, too.

CW: Aries grew up in a very religious household and spent a lot of his childhood in church. His family pushed him into dating the son of a family friend who was abusive and possessive, and when he came out as trans at 17 he lost his partner and was later kicked out. A former teacher of his helped him get on his feet for a bit while he got his GED, but even as an adult he felt alienated and alone.

He was planning to commit suicide when a coincidence interrupted his plan, and the next day he woke to find himself in the Devildom as the chosen exchange student. Since then his life turned around for the better, and he made a family for himself with the demons.

Within the next few minutes, Asmo is knocking and awaiting for Chris to answer.

Both of them have had their rough nights, where Chris got used to being in Asmo’s company- and where Asmo got used to holding Chris’ hands when giving him a manicure, (with the finest polish he could afford, of course).

“Hi!” He came in, laying down a “small” (for Asmo), bag of beauty products.

“Hello!” Chris closed the door behind her and sighed.

“Tell me, what’s on your mind?” Asmo guided Chris with her hand on the small of his back, something he would usually be uncomfortable with if it were someone else.

But it was Asmo.. funny, sweet, caring, gorgeous Asmo.

He pauses, attempting to find the words that worked.

“Being femme and going by he/him is a struggle… and it’s getting to me a bit.”

Asmo stopped shuffling through the bag, looking at him through chestnut lashes, “The human realm is so gross about that stuff…”, she sighs, “it’s more accepting here though.”

Chris looked away, “yeah, I know”, he paused to let Asmo take off his glasses.

“Are you adjusting?”

“Mhm.” Chris hums.

“I swear, you work too hard..” she inspects Chris’ skin, eyeing the persistent acne and oil. “I can tell you made an effort in the human realm, but..” she starts to rub some sort of cool product onto the skin, soothing his face, “I bet just relaxing and putting on some otherworldly products will make you feel better.”

“God, you spoil me..” Chris smiles-

“Shhh- you’re gonna ruin it!” He complies to Asmo’s request, relaxing his face.

“Anyway- you deserve to be spoiled. You’re really cute, Yknow?”

Chris has to clench and unclench his hands to keep his face from having an immediate reaction.

She thinks I’m cute?

Asmo said stuff like that often- he shook it off as normal.

“I was supposed to apply it wet.. but it’ll be fine. We can just- here- follow me to your bathroom.” Asmo helped Chris up, walking to his bathroom and letting him wash it off before making a few corrections-

“Can I?”

“Can you wha?”

“Can I wash it off for you?”

He nodded.

Chris had glowy skin, although it wasn’t clear that didn’t matter too much. Chris wanted clear skin for years according to what he’d told her, so Asmo would make it come true.

He couldn’t help himself from brushing a thumb against Chris’ cheek, he had such a beautiful face..

“That feels nice, hm. Maybe I should have you do my skincare every day.”

“I wouldn’t mind ittt…” she chuckles.

He… he kinda wishes he could.

In fact, both of them do- but it would be too much of a bother for Asmo, wouldn’t it? You know what I mean, she’s got his whole fanclub to attend to..

Asmo lifts Chris’ head up to gently pat his face dry with a towel, “I’ll just go grab the whole bag from your room, it’ll be easier.” She blows a kiss, making Chris giggle before walking away for a split second.

Chris looks in the mirror, hair askew and he can faintly make out silhouettes of items and furniture. Asmo had taken off his glasses in his bedroom… Why did it feel so intimate?

Don’t finish that thought-

Asmo waltzes back into the bathroom, applying toner onto a cotton pad and applying it to the high points of Chris’ face to give an uplifted look.

Along the process, she whines about not being able to sit down and decidedly (and with consent), ends up straddling Chris on the chair. Both feel their hearts racing, inching to get closer to the other.

“Mmm… you’re lucky- I don’t normally say sappy crap like this but being genderqueer never really had a label here.. it’s nice to kinda feel close to something? Hm.”

Chris looks up at her; mistakingly gazing tauntingly through his eyelashes, making those irresistible eyes Asmo admired.

“Yeah, I get what you mean,” he bounces his leg, “I’ve never even met another genderqueer person. It’s like- insane to me.”

“Awww, I’m special?”

“Mhm.”

“Chris…”

“Yeah?”

A pause follows as he takes a deep breath, deciding now is better than never.

“You’re so amazing. You hold like- this air of elegance wherever you walk and you’re really smart, you know Devildom history better than most of my demons here! And you work like really hard and are so beautiful- you have an amazing sense of style and I love matching outfits with you.”

“That’s.. oh my god that’s so sweet. Thank you oh my- aww.” Chris holds his hands in his lap because he doesn’t know where to put them.

She waits a minute, before realizing Chris took it platonically.

“Oh my goddd you dummy I like you!”

“In a… like- love- like dating? Like-“

“Mhmm..” Asmo licks his lips, a nervous habit of his.

Chris is (and has been) unashamedly checking her out,

“Can I… touch you?”

“Mhm.”

Chris lays his right hand on Asmo’s, his left on her back.

“Closer. I don’t know if I wanna look at you.”

“Rudeee! I’m gorgeous excuse you-“

“You are. And it’ll make me nervous Asmooo..” She finally complies with a playful pout.

“I think I like you too. You’re really pretty and supportive, and I find myself being drawn to you. I feel comfortable around you and god you make me like- super nervous. I feel like I don’t deserve you sometimes- you have amazing sense for clothes and I love your hair and eyes. Fucking hell that was- super bad.”

“Aaaa! I loved it!…” Asmo pulls back, his eyes lighting up. “Can I kiss you?”

Chris looks taken aback, so Asmo adds on, “Not on the lips, I swear.” He takes out a pinky and Chris does the same, smiling nervously.

She ends up leaving a small peck on Chris’ jaw.

“I’m disappointed you didn’t do a few more..” Chris moves both hands to Asmo’s back.

“Don’t want to ruin the product… that stuff isn’t cheap!” She whines. “More jaw kisses are in store… on your bed. My knees hurt..”

With that, they change rooms once again, with mutual cuddling and bits of chatter.

“Do you want to become romantic with me?..” Chris asks.

“I do. And you?”

“..I do. But you’re gonna need to be patient with me.”

“Of course I will!” Asmo turns from the little spoon position and looks up from Chris’ chest into his eyes, “Spoiling you is the best part.” He winks.

“Oh my god you’re gonna be the end of me..” Chris smiles, hiding his face again.

so, within the context of the game, all of the demon bros are agender! they don't really care about pronouns to any extent because it's not really a part of their language anyway, but some have preferences (mammon likes ppl to mix them up a lot, levi likes they, beel likes she more on occasion, satan likes they/he and belphie and satan both like it on occasion) and, again, within the context of the game, they're all pan! but some are on the aroace spectrum (levi and satan being demiaroace, asmo being demiaro, belphie being ace)

I mean yeah I see Asmo as 'canon' genderfluid to me as is personally, even though its just a headcanon. But would be nice to get some actual confirmed rep in the series. They will keep him unlabeled like some of the other characters, who canonly were referred to with they/them pronouns. Gladly! Sorry this took so long; I started it last night but then my husband spiked a fever and we had to run to urgent care for a COVID test and my ipad ate my reply while I was gone :P

Microscope: “Zoom in - describe the little, insignificant details about an OC” (I wasn’t sure if this meant physical or other, so I did one of each :)

Rae (MC):

Girl loves everything peanut - Reeses? Check. Peanut butter fudge? Check. If it doesn’t have peanuts, it’s not worth calling candy/dessert. Her favorite thing ever is a vanilla sundae with crushed Reeses cups, Reeses pieces, and peanut butter sauce on top. With sprinkles.

She also has strangely long and thin fingers, like good luck finding a department store ring to fit her that didn’t come out of the little girls’ department. The only places she’s found that sell rings she can wear is Hot Topic. She buys her rings off Etsy now.

Mia (OC):

Collects tarot cards, but doesn’t believe in them. She loves the art, the symbolism, and how cards can be completely different but mean the same thing. She loves how much work and thought goes into making a cohesive deck. She’s memorized all the meanings and can easily do readings, but she’s insistent that everyone winds up matching what they already think to the cards. Will go on long psychology-related rants about it.

Has really really long eyelashes - like, she wears contacts because her eyelashes kept smushing against her glasses and making it hard to blink. They’re super long but not super dark, so she’ll tint them up with mascara if she’s going somewhere special.

Rae

With regards to gender/sexuality, she’s a cis woman, pansexual, and a dedicated monogamist. She’s very big into the idea of finding a partner and dedicating her life to them.

Professionally, she’s studying to work in art restoration and conservation. She’s patient and serious when it’s time to work, which throws people off because her personal identity is that of a prankster and fun-loving social butterfly. She’s also a singer in a metal band, so her rebellious streak definitely forms a huge part of her identity.

In fact, she’s worried about actually making her way in the art world because restoration/conservation tends to be a conservative (ha ha) field and between her color-rotation hair, variety of tattoos, and foul mouth, she’s doubtful she’ll actually get a job.

The rest of her identity is what she struggles with - the rejected no-hoper foster kid, no family, no friends because who can keep friends when you change foster families and schools every 6 months? The casual abuse, the neglect, the (thankfully temporary) loss of her brother, the suicide attempt - all of it led her to a family that loved her, but you can’t make up for 16 years of awful that quickly.

Mia:

Gender/sexuality: Mia would kind of identify as a woman, but it doesn’t matter too much to her. She’s not sure she’d go so far as to say genderqueer or Demigirl, but she’s not really invested in gender. She feels more like a woman than anything else, but is “meh” on it. She looks damn good in a dress and she knows it, but she’s more comfortable in cargo pants and tank tops. She’s straight, but poly. She needs her partners to be her family, and not every partner has to be a romantic or sexual partner. She craves physical affection and hates being alone. Hanging around in a cuddle puddle watching a movie with one or more partners is ideal for her. And if her partners are also partners? Bliss.

Beyond that, she identifies as a maker. If she’s not straight-up relaxing or doing some other job for her House, she’s building, crafting, or creating. Her style of magic is non-ritualistic, and she’s capable of imbuing what she makes with intention and power. Some items might take her months or years to create, but goddamit the end result will be usable, powerful, and, preferably, aesthetically pleasing.

She’s studied psychology but never actually made it into being a therapist. She has the degree and a year working at a home for troubled kids, but Magic and Making got a hold of her that was far tighter - and allowed for travel, and meeting powerful and interesting people :)

She identifies as a bookworm when she has the time to read, and if she can’t read, she’ll listen to audiobooks while she makes stuff. Part of her love of psychology stems from her love of fiction - books taught her how to deal with the world, and she’ll analyze any kind of story for hours.

If Mammon wants to do something stupid, Rae will find a way to either make it work, or to make it REALLY FUCKING STUPID.

(If it’s going to be dangerous or super illegal, she’ll talk him out of it.)

If Rae wants to do something stupid, Mammon will 1000% ramp it up to ridiculous levels, to the point where it never happens because they’re cracking up like morons over the plan instead of executing the plan.

Then there are days and nights spent locked in one of their rooms just chilling and being together. There’s a quiet there that works.

Mammon also SUPER accidentally helped her find her brother again.

Mia:

Oh boy. Mia’s story is still very much in the works and is VERY VERY self-indulgent, romantically speaking. I’m actually kind of embarrassed, but the story makes me happy.

Married her childhood sweetheart at 18 because the college they were attending wouldn’t let them live together on campus, and you could only live off-campus as a freshman if you were married. They’d been inseparable since they were in kindergarten, so why tf not, right?

(Was still poly when with him, just more casual about partners besides him.)

Lasted a whole three more years. Found out husband had some (diluted, but present) Celestial blood. As he struggled to figure out what this meant, it opened the door to be essentially radicalized into bounty-hunting “rogue” witches and sorcerers. They weren’t happy by this point, and Mia bounced.

Wound up moving around cities for awhile. Has what SHOULD have been a one-night stand with a mysterious sorcerer she met in a bar when some asshole would take her “no” at face value.

He helps her unlock her suppressed magic; has to do a lot of research to figure out WTF to do with non-ritual-based magic. This takes time.

Before they know it, what should have been a one night stand or, at best, a friends with benefits relationship, has suddenly become like 5 years of her, him, and his favorite demon, Asmo, as a kind of poly triad.

But he’s doing shady Sorcerer Stuff behind her back, like an asshole, and gets pulled into the exchange program before they can sort it out.

Mia has a TEMPER, and that’s the final straw. She’s a “leave no survivors, salt the earth” kind of psycho when you push the wrong buttons, so she lights out and has to cut off Asmo too, because he’ll tell Sol where she is if she doesn’t.

Winds up in The Conclave, a sort of sanctuary for non-ritual-based magicians, where she uses her talent for Making Magical Stuff to help them with their defense and offense. War strategy stuff. They jokingly call her General.

Who else winds up there? Rae! (Where else is a human with little magical ability but access to Devildom go? Conclave’s been around for centuries; well, look, they have a lot of art that needs cleaning.....) Who does Rae bring? Mammon! Mammon, at some point, brings Satan because there’s info he needs that MIGHT be in their extensive, centuries-old library....

Which leads to Satan and Mia hanging out a lot, him doing a lot of reading aloud while she makes stuff, then discussions of the books. Which leads to dating.

Which leads to a reuniting with Asmo. And Sol.

And A WHOLE LOT OF DRAMATIC SELF-INDULGENT STUFF LATER, we’ve got a poly quad with some interesting ground rules.
