The flags are basically a mix of their original fluid and flux flags (see boyfluid, boyflux, girlfluid, girlflux). Specifically, since the purple of girlfluid and the yellow of girlflux were so different (and trying to mix them together just made grey), I moved the purple to the bottom. I also added extra dark blue and pink stripes, to make the flag be centred / have the stripes on both sides match.

Genderfluid/flux/fluix equivalents for male/female, man/woman, and boy/girl!

You know how there's the term "enby", to usually refer to a non-binary child or teen, sometimes to an adult as well? Well, @ryanyflags compiled a list of terms similar to enby for many gender identities, as well as adult gender terms that are meant to be equivalents of woman/man (such as enban), and sex terms equivalent to female/male.

I personally felt the need for a genderfluid equivalent to all of these. For those times where I wanna call myself something like enban or enby, but underline the fluid nature of my gender. For those days where I can't, or don't want to, specify what specific gender I'm feeling in that moment, beyond it being fluid.

So I present to you:

Fluy (singular) - Fluys (plural)*.

Genderfluid equivalent of girl/boy/enby. Young genderfluid person.

Fluidan (singular) - Fluiden (plural).

Genderfloy!!

Genderfloy (pronounced gen-der-floi), or genderfloe (gen-der-flow), refers to an individual who describes themselves as genderfluid/genderfluix (or an otherwise alternating identity), but is mostly male in some way. This is different from boyflux or genderflux in general, as genderfloy individuals can (or typically) experience other genders that are not necessarily masculine or man-aligned (including feminine genders.)

Understanding Gender Loving Gender acronyms

(The backstory here is that after @inclusive-flag-edits enlightened me about some GLG acronyms, I realized I had forgotten some of my knowledge on the subject and my brain found this unacceptable so here’s a guide for myself and others.)

GLG- gender loving gender. This is the blank template. You fill the first of G with a person’s gender, and then the second G with a gender they are attracted to. Both these genders are represented by 1-3 letter abbreviations. If someone is multiple genders and/or is attracted to multiple genders, you just make multiple GLG acronyms for them. The attraction is not necessarily sexual or exclusive.

Ex for multigender: Trace is trigender (a man, androgyne and neutrois) and likes nonbinary people. They would be MLNB (men loving nonbinary), ANLNB (androgyne loving nonbinary) and NLNB (neutrois loving nonbinary). But if you didn’t want to specify Trace’s three gender identities you could just say that they are TRLNB (trigender loving nonbinary) or in dynanian format SLNB (spectrum loving nonbinary).

Ex for multiple gender attraction: Abby is a woman and likes men, women, and nonbinary people. She would be WLM, WLW, and WLNB. 

Ex for both multiple gender attraction and multigender: Char is genderfluid (between agender and a xenogender) and likes men and women. They would be AGLM (agender loving men), AGLW (agender loving women), XLM (xenic loving men), and XLW (xenic loving women). If you didn’t want to specify Char’s two gender identities you could just say that they are GFLM (genderfluid loving men) and GFLW (genderfluid loving women).

Other stuff:

Most GLG identities also have names for example WLW is called sapphic. Here’s a chart full of them. They also have pretty flags!!!!

Sometimes the L is replaced with a 4 (for). An example is that TLT (trans loving trans) can also be written as T4T (trans for trans).

The acronyms aren’t always written in all caps because they’ve become popular enough that people recognize them as acronyms without needing capitalization. For example NBLW could also be written as Nblw or nblw but would be still mean nonbinary loving women.

GLG can also stand for girls loving girls and is used as an alternative to WLW.

Sometimes you’ll find orientations in the GLG format but instead of genders it’ll be other traits such as identity, orientation, gender presentation, neurotype, etc. An example is Queerian/QLQ (queer loving queer). It’s pretty common for these terms to use a 4 instead of an L and a lot of them aren’t meant to be capitalized. Examples are bi4bi (bisexual/romantic for bisexual/romantic), bu4fe (butch for femme), and auti4auti (autistic for autistic).

Attraction

Biromantic

refers to someone who is romantically attracted to two or more genders or to individuals whose genders may be the same or different than theirs.

Demiromantic

a romantic orientation on the aromantic spectrum defined as someone who does not experience romantic attraction until they have formed a deep emotional connection with someone.

Cupioromantic

defined as someone who does not experience romantic attraction but still desires a romantic relationship. Cupioromantic individuals are typically romance favorable but they do not have to be. Cupioromantic may also be used by those who sometimes feel romantic attraction but still desire a romantic relationship even without attraction, for example, a demiromantic individual who dates someone before they feel attraction to them, possibly on the assumption that they will develop romantic attraction later on

Gender

Genderfluid

refers to someone whose gender identity changes over time. A genderfluid individual can identify as any gender, or combination of genders at any given time. Their gender can change at random or it may vary in response to different circumstances. One's gender can change over the course of hours, days, weeks, months, or years. For some individuals their gender changes on a somewhat consistent "schedule", for others their gender changes at random times. Some genderfluid individuals can be fluid between all genders, or a large amount of genders. Other genderfluid individuals are fluid between a small handful of genders.

Genderflux

a term for those whose gender fluctuates in intensity. It can be thought of as a form of genderfluid where agender is the base. Genderflux individuals can fluctuate from feeling 0% gendered (agender), to being 100% a given gender. In between those extremes include being slightly a given gender, (libragender), to being partially a given gender, (demigender) to being mostly, but not entirely a given gender, (paragender)

Fluidflux

also known as fluxfluid, fliux, fluix, or genderfliux/genderfluix is a gender in which one's gender changes while also varying in intensity. Fluidflux can be described as being genderfluid and genderflux at the same time. One's gender fluctuates between feeling completely gendered to feeling partially gendered to being without a gender (agender). At the same time the gendered-feeling is fluid.

Polygender

is a term for someone who experiences two or more genders. It falls under the non-binary and transgender umbrellas. It can be used as a gender identity on its own or as an umbrella term.

Non-binary

refers to someone whose gender does not fall strictly within the category of the binary genders (male or female) that are used in western society. Anyone who is not always, solely, 100% male or always, solely, 100% female can be considered non-binary. Some non-binary may identify with one or both of the binary genders, at least in part, while others are completely unrelated to the binary genders.

Demi boy

is a non-binary gender in which one is partially, but not fully, a boy or man.

Demi girl

a non-binary gender in which one is partially, but not fully, a girl or woman

Agender

also known as genderless, is an identity to describe someone that entirely lacks a gender or with complete genderlessness

Solarian

a non-binary gender / gender alignment from the galactian alignment system. In many cultures around the world, the sun is individualified as a man, or is associated with masculine energy, so solarian is used to refer to non-binary individuals who are man-aligned and/or masculine-aligned. A solarian is someone who has similarities in identity or experience with men. Possible examples of solarian experiences include:

Someone who is partially a man.

Someone who has some connection to manhood, without being a man.

Someone who has a gender similar to, but not the same as a man.

Someone who is mingender/connected to masculinity while not being a man or having a connection to manhood.

A non-binary individual who presents masculinely (regardless of their actual gender).

Lunarian

a non-binary gender and gender alignment from the galactian alignment system. In many cultures around the world, the moon is individualified as a woman, or is associated with feminine energy, so lunarian is used to refer to non-binary individuals who are woman or feminine-aligned.

Possible examples of lunarian experiences include:

Someone who is partially a woman.

Someone who has some connection to womanhood without being a woman.

Someone who is fingender or connected to femininity while not being a woman or having a connection to womanhood.

A non-binary individual who presents femininely (regardless of their actual gender).

Stellarian

a non-binary gender from the galactian alignment system describing someone who is unaligned, or neutral aligned. The main idea is that stellarians identify as a gender that is unrelated to masculinity and femininity and/or manhood and womanhood, however they still feel gendered and on a similar "plane" as male and female. There are many different stellarian identities, as there are stars in the sky. This is unlike agender or singularian, which are a complete lack of alignment.

Celestian

a non-binary gender from the galactian alignment system. It is the demigender version of stellarian meaning it only has a partial connection to stellarian, with the other part being something else. The "other part" can be another galactian alignment or it can be another unrelated gender

Galaxian

a non-binary gender from the galactian alignment system. It is a combination of solarian, stellarian, and lunarian. A galaxian individual can be fluid between the three genders or can be all of them at the same time.

Aurorian

a non-binary gender from the galactian alignment system. It refers to someone who is fluid between alignments. These changes can be fluid or sudden. They could be fluid between any number of alignments.

Lynxgender

a gender that has a connection to any of the four lynx species. It can be fluffy and cold or warm and slick for example. It is often closely related to the cold climates of Canadian Lynx or the warmer climates of Eurasian lynx. It is a gender very much like catgender in nature but is distinctly different

Vulpisgender / foxgender

a xenogender that connects with foxes or traits ascribed to foxes, such as being mischievous, active, and/or playful. It is also associated with a connection to nature. Foxgender individuals may identify as such because of their perceived past lives, culture, spirituality, or any other reason. Foxgender individuals may also identify as foxboys, foxgirls or foxenbies

Vapogender

a xenogender which feels like smoke. One can see it and understand it on a shallow level but if one tries to go deeper it disappears, and one is left with no gender and only tiny wisps of the gender one thought it was.

Gendervoid

a gender which is an absence, a blank space or void where a gender might otherwise be.

Canisgender

a xenogender related to dogs. A canisgender person feels a strong connection to canines in relation to their gender identity, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. This gender could also be described as "doglike".

Doggender

a xenogender in which someone feels an extremely strong connection to dogs or other canidaes, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity

Huskygender

a kind of faunagender that falls under the category of canisgender. The term is defined to have a strong relation or connection to the dog breed huskies

Dobermangender

a kind of faunagender that falls under the category of canisgender. The term is defined to have a strong relation or connection to the dog breed doberman

Cirrugender

a xenogender in which one feels a strong connection to clouds and/or cloud attributes, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their identity. It is for those whose gender feels light, airy, wispy, or faint.

There are also two alternate flags for cirrugender people who feel more feminine or masculine, referred to as cirragender and cirrogender.

Gendertraet

a xenogender when one's gender feels extremely tired, exhausted, and overworked, yet forced to exist. Gendertraet comes from the Danish word traet meaning tired.

Roseusboy

a masculine gender that has many parts of femininity incorporated into the overall gender identity, but still has plenty of masculine qualities as well

Ghostpupgender

a subset of pupgender for those who feel strongly connected to dogs or puppies, but with ghostly qualities. These qualities can include:

The fluid, fluix, and flux terms are based off genderfluid man/boy, genderfluix man/boy, genderflux man/boy, and the matching woman/girl versions. I intend for these to be broad in their definitions, where any combination of abinary + fluid/fluix/flux works. * Though, there is the problem that agenderfluid, agenderfluix, and agenderflux are already terms with different definitions. But the agan and agie versions should be new. So I'll leave the first terms there, just to match, and people can use the agan/agie versions if they want to be clear which definition they're talking about.

Butch, futch, and femme is the same. Anyone who's butch/futch/femme and agender, whatever that combination means to them, can use these flags.

Also, I didn't list every possible name for the fluid, fluix, flux, butch, futch, and femme terms. You can use alt terms/names, as long as they have the same meaning.

All these flags use the colours from this agender flag.

For ninnox and agan, I just went with a format that felt right / looked nice. Having the stripes be horizontal looked too much like orientation flags to me, so I used vertical stripes (pride flags don't often use vertical stripes, so I think this helps make it more unique). And the second one, I felt darker and maybe just a bit of desaturated colours would fit. I still wanted them to be colourful though, since I think the opposite gives the impression of depression, which is not just what adulthood is.

Agie follows this girl flag (which has also been used for other diminutive flags, like boy and xip). I don't know how to make symbols for it though, so I left them blank. Having symbols would help them look more unique, so if anyone wants to make symbol versions, they're welcome to.

The fluid, fluix, and flux flags follow my formats, which are based on genderfluid man/boy, genderflux man/boy, and the matching woman/girl flags.

Terms explanation:

trimel and trinmel : trinary sex terms; trinary equivalents to enbinmel, male, female, etc. tri-/trin- in front from trinary, with -mel at the end following the format of these nonbinary sex labels. Note: the spelling of -non and -nox reminds me of nonbinary (plus the term system was originally for nonbinary terms), and trinary isn't inherently nonbinary, so I just used -mel instead (which is based on male/female). Perhaps trinon/trinox could be for nonbinary trinary sex terms?

trian/trien and trinan/trinen : adult trinary person/people; trinary equivalents to enban/enben, man/men, woman/women, etc. tri-/trin- in front from trinary, with -an (singular) and -en (plural) endings following the way enban/enben, man/men, woman/women, etc. are spelled.

Note:

I conceptualise trinary as both an umbrella term and a standalone term, bit like how nonbinary is both an umbrella and its own gender.

Of course it would include anyone who considers their gender to fall under trinary, but surely it's possible for someone to consider their gender just trinary? Like abinary and midbinary, I think, were mainly just coined as umbrella/categorisation terms, but people can use abinary/midbinary as on its own specific gender. So I don't see why someone couldn't do that with trinary.

All these flags reference my trinary flag, so the main colours are blue, green, pink, purple, and grey.

For trimel and trian, I just went with a format that felt right / looked nice. Triary follows this girl flag (which has also been used for other diminutive flags, like boy and xip). I don’t know how to make symbols for it though, so I left them blank. Having symbols would help them look more unique, so if anyone wants to make symbol versions, they’re welcome to.

The butch, futch, and femme flags are based on these femme/futch/butch man flags, that's where the 3 horizontal stripes come from. For the diagonal stripes, they're meant to mimic the diagonal stripes in my trinary flag. The colours chosen for them are based on what trinary colours aren't in the horizontal stripes. Butch has green and blue, so I used pink and purple for the side stripes. Futch has blue, pink, and purple, so green was used for the side stripes there. And femme has pink and purple, so green and blue were used. All of the side stripes have grey in them, since the horizontal stripes don't. And the extra unused colour(s) gets blended into the horizontal stripes (whichever mixes best / are the most similar originally).
