The pastor white sheep says, "How can we come across as more welcoming?" to other white sheep. Meanwhile, there is a decorative rainbow sheepskin lying on the floor between them.
Churches want people, and they want to change people into what they think people should be.
So when my LGBTQ+ friends see a "all welcome" sign, they know that doesn't mean they're welcome as LGBTQ+. They are welcomed like a bear welcomes a deer into its cave.
They are also cautious when they see the word "affirming", because they might mean they affirm your chosen identity but not your lifestyle.
They also might mean we affirm you, but you've got a year or maybe two to fix that.
Do you see the constant treachery they face?
Can we do something about that?

The situation for homosexual men has improved in many parts of the world in recent decades, but there are still significant variations depending on the country and region. In some countries, significant progress has been made to promote the rights and equality of homosexual men, while in others, discrimination and persecution still occur.
In many Western countries, homosexual men now have legal protections and equal rights. Same-sex marriage or civil partnerships are recognized in many countries, and anti-discrimination laws protect against discrimination based on sexual orientation. Additionally, homosexual men in many countries have the right to adopt children or form their own families.
However, challenges and obstacles remain. Homophobia, stigma, and prejudice continue to exist in many societies. In some countries, homosexual acts are still criminalized, and homosexual men may face discrimination, violence, or social exclusion.
The recognition and acceptance of homosexual men also vary significantly across different cultural, religious, and social contexts. In some conservative or religiously influenced societies, homosexual men are still stigmatized and discriminated against.
It is important to note, however, that progress is being made. LGBT+ rights are increasingly recognized and supported worldwide, and there is growing visibility and acceptance of homosexual men in many areas of public life. Organizations and activists continue to work towards combating homophobia, protecting the rights of homosexual men, and creating an inclusive society where every person is respected regardless of their sexual orientation.
The situation for homosexual men is complex and multifaceted, and it differs from country to country. It is important to acknowledge the progress that has been made but also to continue fighting for full equality and recognition of homosexual men in order to create a fair and inclusive society. They will always consider you inferior to them, bugs. Heterosexuals do not care about your safety, they do not believe you deserve a life. This is who they truly are. This is what they really want.
So let me ask you, what are you going to about it? Sit and cry and beg for silly representation in their movies OR stand up loud and show them gay should be the new word for anger?
Your choice.

I find it hilarious how the political lesbian/TERF-type "feminists" have continually been dunked on for all of their history of existence. Hated in the 60s, hated today. Nobody has ever taken you seriously or agreed with you. Keep on taking Ls

This is a love letter.
To the LGBTQIA++++ community.
I was at my physiotherapist the other day and he started talking with other patients about her daughter of 13 putting on her mother’s heels. He then proceeded to say that it made him worried because she was young and « was it a good age to try on heels » and « what about boys » etc, and then he reluctantly explained that it was normal for a girl that age to explore what being a woman was like.
I was getting angry with those words for so many reasons so I tried to focus the conversation on another topic, and so I said that boys can put on heels too. Everybody in the room looked at me as if I was completely out of my mind.
I am sorry it was a long story just to say this: at this moment, I was a little bit sad that all of those people would never know a whole world. For them it was just girl and boy, pink and blue, feminine and masculine. And then I realised how lucky I was to understand so much more, to know about non binary or about all the spectrum between men and women or about all of what the lgbtqia+ community brought me, theories, experiences, people, representation, and more.
Tumblr media
I felt like I knew about some magical world that they didn’t know about, however so present and vibrant and real.
I came home to my absolutely amazing girlfriend (fiancée in fact) and again felt so lucky.
I know being lgbtqia+++ is not always easy. Some areas of the world it’s even so dangerous or mortal. We always have to fight in the society (I am French and I have a lot of rights as an LGBTQIA woman in France but still I face homophobia / biphobia / sexism), we sometimes feel like we have to prove something, and sometimes it gets better (like it was for me), but sometimes it doesn’t. It is a life that can be full of obstacles.
But at this moment, I was so grateful and happy to know and be part of this magical world.
That’s it.
I am sure it is full of errors because English is not my first language, sorry for that.
I don’t know if someone will read this, but I needed to write it down.

HIV/AIDS MONTH QUOTE 12
Tumblr media
The image was made in Canva; check it out at the [referral] link here!
Wednesday, December 18, 2024
"[A] couple I had known - who were old friends - asked me what I was going to work on next. I told them I wanted to write a near future book about AIDS concentration camps. They were vehement in their response: they thought it was a terrible idea. Their words both shocked and saddened me. 'Do you really want to write a book about homosexuals?' they asked me. 'Won't people who read your work be influenced toward sin?' I notice that I don't hear from them much lately." - Tracy Hickman, The Immortals

In 2016, a transgender “bathroom ban” in North Carolina sparked a national outcry. A-list celebrities including Nick Jonas, Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper, and many more canceled performances in the area. Proposals to expand in Cary and Charlotte were put on hold by multinational firms Deutsche Bank and PayPal. The NCAA rescheduled its championship games to a different location.
Eight years later, after Utah approved a bill similar to this one on Monday, the response outside of the state seems to be more of a shrug.
The two biggest companies in Utah did not issue statements in reaction to the bill. Every year, the Sundance Film Festival in Park City brings in tens of thousands of tourists and boosts the local economy. These visitors were just leaving for home. The LGBTQ icon and worldwide phenomenon Bad Bunny will be the main attraction during a concert in Salt Lake City in the coming weeks. The NCAA men’s basketball tournament’s first and second rounds will be held in Salt Lake City next month.

they won't ever stop. no matter how much we scream. no matter how many of us fall dead. no matter what we put in TV or books. we aren't humans to their understanding. we're savages, villains, deviants of God's order.
Perhaps it's time we start acting like it.
