How I imagine the phone call to Aubrey Plaza went
Marvel HQ: We’ve got this role we think you’d be perfect for. It’s a show about lesbian witches and ..
Aubrey: Yes
Marvel HQ: do you not want to know anything about your character?
Aubrey: you’ve told me everything I need to know
Marvel HQ: great! So it’s for Disney ..
Aubrey: I am going to make it the gayest thing this world has ever seen

See, after many rewatches here’s the thing:
To me this show is perfect. And honestly I love 90% of the final two. But I love genuinely everything… UNTIL the last 10 minutes and your hit with
“Fuck. This is all we are getting”
We aren’t getting Agatha’s story, the darkhold, anything that was basically promised. And then we have Billy being… I won’t swear because I’m already treading the line, but he’s being Billy and Agatha just goes ‘yeah I’ll help you’ without knowing anything. I fully believe she’s doing it either to get back to life or/and to find Wanda. But it doesn’t tell us that. So we don’t know. We are told almost nothing about Agatha… in Agatha’s show.
That’s my problem. The rest of it is fucking perfect. Honestly. I loved the Billy reveal SOLELY because we see Agatha being fucking incredible. She is above everyone. Yes there are people more powerful than her but she is above everyone in the game of life. She is perfect. Her kissing Rio was just pure love and forgiveness for her love. Beautiful. But I’ve described before there should have been an Agatha conversation maybe in the afterlife or on her own or with Rio to explain her emotions at the end. Because it feels like her death isn’t really the end.
But
We get to the last 10 minutes and you are really hot with ‘this is it. We aren’t… fuck
That’s my personal problem. Geneuinly everything is pretty much perfect until you hit the last 10 minutes of content (aka when Billy goes to her house) and then it hits you… there isn’t a secret episode after explaining her, there isn’t a post credit scene. Nothing. We leave in Billy being a twat (I’m sorry but he was) and not knowing what Agatha’s feeling or almost any of her history or lore.
Yay
This show is so perfect… until then. And I hate that it ends with me so viscerally angry and upset that there is no follow up about Agatha and her history or her emotions. That it’s just about Billy and she’s going to become a side character without us ever finding out about her history the way we should have, that they were telling us we were getting throughout the show. We got more Billy backstory in those 3 years than we got of Agatha in her 100’s of years. She is so complex and… we got so little. The nick stuff and ballad twist is my favourite scenes of… well ever. I’ve cried every single time.
But there is so much more to Agatha. And we got none of it. So when I watch it back I get the duality of:
“OMG!! That makes so much sense!! Agatha’s so clever”
(Them saying something with Agatha’s backstory) “WELL WE ARE NEVER GOING TO SEE THAT ARE WE!!!! YOU FUC-“
Do yeah. Agatha all along. Perfect. Genuinely perfect, until the last 10 minutes and it hits you, that’s it.
My love for this show and Agatha goes beyond bounds. Agatha is my special interest. And I cannot bind my anger that erupts every time I finish it.
And reading everything from Jac, it’s fucking marvel. So fuck you marvel for not allowing them to show Agatha’s backstory fully because apparently it wasn’t ’important enough’ but Billy’s kissing his boyfriend in the car for 4 minutes or whatever else about him we didn’t need.
Uh I’m a bitter autistic lesbian. This is not a good combo haha
Another gift for any poor soul who got to the end
GREY HAIRED AGATHA MY BELOVED AND THE GAYEST WOMAN IN THE 30’S!!!!!
#another rant#agatha harkness#agatha all along#sorry…#no one in my life cares so I have to put it somewhere#Agatha I love you#I love you#kathryn hahn#you goddess

i took this picture last week. i went to the cinema with some old friends and watched the new deadpool movie. the film was so unoriginal and dumb, like most marvel movies lately, but i loved it anyway. the film was funny and it felt so nostalgic. it was the gayest thing ive ever seen, and this is by someone who obsesses over destiel and anderperry. after the film was over i went for lunch with my friends, and i ate japanese food. i ordered a chicken yakisoba, which is basically noodles with a lot of chicken, stir fried vegetables and all of it was coated in a sweet and tangy sauce. two of my friends saw how good it looked and they both ordered the same thing. i would definitely recommend anyone to try it if you haven't already.
my dad came to pick me up from the mall later, and we went to our favourite coffee shop. the place is really cozy and dark, with open brick walls, black leather couches, plants, records and prints of iconic artists like the beatles and bob dylan. my dad ordered mocha and i had hot chocolate. after we got home, my cousins invited my siblings and i for a sleep over and we had the best time. we watched casper (1995), one of my all time favourite movies. i was really looking forward to showing to my cousin. she didn't like it much, and i'll admit, i was a bit disappointed. on the other hand, she and i read pretty much the same type of books and we would talk for hours about percy jackson. anyway, we eventually fell asleep at 2am after singing, talking and taking a shit ton of photos on my sister's digital camera. i fell asleep on my cousin brother's bed, and just like almost every other 12 year old, he had spiderman bedsheets.
the next day, my cousin brother and i were the last ones to wake up. the girls woke us up and we went down for breakfast. my aunt made a ton of stuff and we went to their pool later. my uncle grows a lot of vegetables in their backyard, contrary to my dad, who finds it impossible to keep an indoor plant alive for more than a month lol. we probably spent 3 hours in the pool before our parents eventually called us in.
i would have posted a picture of my friends and i or a pic from the sleepover, but i feel uncomfortable posting pictures of myself for strangers to see;) i took this picture at my parents house. the rooftop's one of my favourite places in the whole world because of how peaceful it is. i took this at around 4.30pm and while it doesn't showcase any photography skills, i just really liked how the sky looked around the time that the sun was setting.
i don't usually blog about my life, but saturday and sunday were really good days and i wanted to document it somewhere. if you read this entire shitpost, then thanks for coming to my ted talk.
#tumblr#my photos#photography#photographers on tumblr#tori spring#heartstopper#deadpool#deadpool vs wolverine#movies#hanging out with friends#friends#sleepover#oh also it was my sister's birthday#so we had a huge party on sunday#it was really fun#i kinda felt like i was in a coming of age indie film#yay

it wasn't the fact that you bought us pokemon cards after work sometimes, it was the fact you were so excited about them, too. i knew the sound of your car, every car you ever drove to work. i knew how the air would change at 5:20 every single day because i got to see you when you got home from work. sometimes you were a few minutes late, and i knew it was because there was traffic, or bad weather, but it was always 5:20 every other time, across any job you had, anywhere we had lived. 5:20.
i dont remember when pokemon yellow came out i just remember crawling into your lap at night with my bright yellow gameboy. after the news, or friends, or seinfeld. i remember thinking giovanni was the hardest boss in the entire world because of that stupid nidoqueen - we played for hours and hours, and sylph co was so hard to get around. when i woke up the next day you were so excited to tell me that you beat him! we beat him!
i remember being so appalled because you caught articuno with the masterball, but i also felt so loved because you wanted me to see what you had caught for me! Articuno! i was mad because it was for mew, but i couldn't be so mad because i felt so loved. how could i be mad, how could i care about stupid mew when my masterball now had articuno and you had caught it for me and you were so excited about it.
when the iron man movie came out, you were so excited to share it with me. your love of comics, your love of iron man, of tony stark... a man who i probably would hate if it wasn't for you. the feeling of love in me when it was over and when i had been given the gift of comics, the feeling of love when we sat through every single lord of the rings movie together, every marvel movie, every star wars movie, when you told me you loved the rocky horror picture show and i thought it was the craziest thing to think of - you, my big goofy dad who couldn't care less about queer shit(never in a bad way, you just... didn't care in the best possible way - people could do whatever they wanted and live whatever life they wanted and as long as they were't hurting anyone you loved it), loving the gayest movie of all time and actively participating in it - my DAD of all people. it made me feel so warm, it made me feel so seen by you.
i'll never forgive infinity war for letting thanos' 'love' of gamora be true because i couldn't understand that. a father who loved his daughter willing to throw her away for some stupid ideal because you showed me that love was better than that. that dads were better than that. that you were better than that in every way. you gave me all of the goofy stupid nerdy dorky weird parts of me. the stupid voices, the weird dances, the love of cats and all animals,... the deep dives into weird shit on the internet and randomly becoming expert about something. looking up at the sky and knowing there's something more, being horrified yet so in love with the stars and the depth of space. aliens are real. we have contact with them. the james webb telescope just posted a picture of neptune and i want to show you so bad. i know youd love it. i know youd love that stupid alien thats been all over reddit lately. i know you'd love the end of the loki show and i want so badly for you to see it. i want you to see it. i want to show everything i love to you because you showed everything you love to me.
i miss you so much every day. every day i am heartbroken over you. i cant believe i was ever mad about that stupid masterball.

Greg Owen at LGBTQ Nation:
The Right Squad, a collection of far-right homophobes on the Republican propaganda organ Newsmax, all agree that the new gay-friendly Disney+ series Agatha All Along from Disney’s Marvel Studios is a threat to children. “It’s a recruiting video,” claimed host Chris Plante. The stars of the hit Disney+ series are “flaunting and flailing with joy that the show is the gayest Marvel series ever,” Plante offered, thrilled “that the Marvel Universe isn’t just for straight men anymore.”
It’s evidence the show’s creators, and by extension Disney, are “targeting the kids.” “We’ve seen it in the schools and the books and the libraries and the genderqueer and the graphic novels,” Plante said of an alleged LGBTQ+ cabal preying on kids, “and it’s always the children.” Panelist Jason Nichols said he didn’t need to see gay people on screen to know they exist. In fact, he said he hadn’t even seen the show but opined that “it’s inappropriate for children” and that Disney “should make sure that people know that it’s inappropriate for children.” “You don’t have to act like they don’t exist in film,” Nichols said of gay people, referring to actor Joe Locke’s statements of support for Agatha All Along’s inclusiveness. “I don’t know exactly what they mean.”
The most revealing take came from Mercedes Schlapp, wife of alleged groper Matt Schlapp, whose once-powerful anti-LGBTQ+ advocacy group, the American Conservative Union, imploded last year after young male staffers assigned to Herschel Walker’s doomed Senate campaign came forward accusing the group’s chairman of fondling them. [...] Without a trace of irony, Mercedes Schlapp denounced Disney for “this obsession with sexuality and sex, just children in general, and then putting that in front of the children.” “I mean, it’s just sick,” she ranted. “Go back to storytelling, go back to the innocence of children. That’s really where they should focus on.” “Obviously, they’re more focused about men,” Schlapp added, sputtering, “and, you know, gay men and straight men.”
Get over it, triggered right-wingers!

[That super anonymous question meme: given control of Hank's storyline, what would you write out/envision for his future? Do you see any great triumphs and tragedies in his life? Any great loves or discoveries? How do you think the world will remember Your Hank McCoy?
Oh wow, so anonymous, I have no idea who this could possibly be from! Maybe a secret admirer? So mysterious . . .
Nah, but for real, this is a good question because it's got a complicated answer. I write Hank McCoy, I adore complicated, which is why you're getting three flavours of answer.
First off, there's my verse: each of us is a nest of lies, which basically aims to tackle Hank as he's presented in X-Force, but just with, like, actual emotional complexity and a degree of sympathy for the devil, rather than moustache twirling mutant Henry Kissinger (don't rest in peace, you fuck). Having seen where X-Force is going, I have a pretty good idea of where 616 Hank is headed, and it . . . honestly, makes me kinda sad.
Hank goes through with the grossness of mind controlling Wolverine, using him as a weapon, nearly getting deep sixed by the rest of the X-Force team, losing almost everything. The Fall of X occurs, and Krakoa, the nation that he threw everything that he was into the garbage for, dies, while he isn't even there, while he was off in-fighting with his subordinates (in his mind, that's what they still are).
He loses it. He starts lashing out. I already write him as dissociating from himself - which is why you'll notice that my narration for him never calls him Hank, only Beast, and why he insists on calling everyone by codenames if he can - and this would just tip him over the edge. Full on ranting, raving, raging against the world, against the people who held him back, against the people he (in his mind, anyway) tried to sacrifice everything for and protect only for them to spit in his face.
Through means unknown, X-Force resurrects a younger Hank. Early 20s, wide eyed, bouncy, one of the goodest good eggs you've ever known - and wildly in love with Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man. In my mind, this is what the older Beast wanted, hence why he left only that Cerebro backup behind. He knows he's poison, he knows he's awful, he knows that everything he is has been carved out and replaced with biotech and cruelty and empty platitudes about necessary force. He pretends he hates that old him, but he doesn't. He's viciously jealous of him.
Logan, young Hank and Simon put him down. I like to think Logan has it in him to pop the claws himself instead of leaving it to the younger McCoy or the man who loved Hank no matter his mistakes, maybe even saving young Hank from older Hank.
This is where I imagine I diverge from what Ben Percy and Marvel have planned.
They would probably let old Beast die and rot, leave it on an ambiguous note that young Hank has a chance to avoid becoming that now, but I would personally opt for Sage to get a chance to show the compassion and humanity that old Beast didn't give her, and pass his memories to the younger Hank. It would scar him. It would make him sick. It would wound him. But it would give him purpose.
Ultimately, I believe in compassion and the human spirit, so the idea of Sage and Logan (maybe Piotr, too) getting the chance to show that they were better than the weapons and tools old Beast tried to make them by being kind to Hank when he needs it most makes me feel . . . good, honestly.
That young Hank goes on to have extremely explicit gay wonder sex with Simon, comes out as bi, and has a long, illustrious career as the gayest Avenger. No notes, that's where he goes.
Then there's the verse I have with bothsidesofaquestion, the verse called: the ground beneath our feet is alive but are we? which brings Hank back after the old version of him is already dead. I don't love the idea of Hank existing without the knowledge and memories he gained over the last 40 years, so even though he knows why older Beast had to go, even though it's, in its way, forbidden knowledge, he would have to seek it out. He's a scientist, his curiosity demands no less.
This version of Hank ends up rejecting Krakoa. It's a sunshine driven cult of sex, death, violence and supremacy, and Hank McCoy is an Illinois farmboy who likes Star Trek and puppies named after deciduous plants. He can't grok it, he can't handle it, he needs to leave.
Maybe he's the one who goes back to the Mansion and restarts it as a school, because maybe Xavier and everyone else gave up on the dream, but he didn't. Call him crazy, call him a naive idiot, call him an evil man just waiting for his moment to turn, but he doesn't care.
He needs to leave a positive legacy behind. He cares too much to retreat to an island paradise and just give up. I like to think this version of Hank would find Abigail again, and maybe they find peace together, or at the very least, they have a fun 'I'll make you good again-I'm going to protect you from the world by being kinda evil but also fiercely loving you' dynamic going on.
Then there's my verse: the irredeemable beast. I don't want to go into too many details because I'm still writing this fic, but I want Hank to really have to grapple with who he is and what he's done. He wants to be hurt, he wants to be tortured, he wants to be made to pay, and he actively spurns kindness and love because he knows he doesn't deserve it.
I liked the idea of inverting the body horror that's such a prevalent theme in X-Force by giving this version of Hank an overcharged, Wolverine-style healing factor and putting him through the wringer, so that happens a lot. Five chapters in, and he's already been shot multiple times, at least once by an anti-tank cannon. It hurts. He feels like he deserves it every time.
Again, no spoilers, but this fic is my way of making peace with the fact that the Hank I fell in love with, Grant Morrison's complicated, unpopular, bipolar, fiercely kind and unfairly hurt Hank, is going to be gone soon. Unless someone at Marvel wants to fix things properly, he's going to be set all the way back to 1981 and lose a lot of his nuance, and that . . . hurts. So I cope in my own ways and on my own terms.
There's also a secret fourth answer which is I force my way into the Marvel offices, reveal that the Beast in X-Force has been an imposter since issue 1, have the old Beast come back, and things just go back to the way they were before Bendis and Percy got their grubby mitts on him. Send him back into space to have chaotic adventures with Abigail again. I don't give a single flying fuck if this renders X-Force #1-50 completely pointless, I will go to your house and burn your copies myself you piece of -
Ahem.
So, yeah, that's the general tenor of the storylines I see for him and how they unfold, including my predictions on how the 616 version will play out. But my Hank McCoy? The one I write?
Honestly, I want people to remember him as that time they came across a Hank McCoy on Tumblr that sounded just like the Beast they knew, but better, with a strong, consistent voice that they just fell in love with. I want people to remember my Hank before they remember Ben Percy's, Matt Fraction's, or Brian Michael Bendis'. Selfishly, I want to protect his legacy, even if it's just one person at a time, one changed mind at a time.
Hank means a lot to me. More than anything, I want to do right by him.
Thank you for the question!

my top ten favorite television shows
did anyone ask? no! do i care? no!
(I actually found this post in my drafts a few days ago and decided to update it and actually finish it. Most times you can tell when 2021/2022 Madison is writing because it’s all in lowercase. I mainly just moved things around and then changed a few of the standings. I also included gifs for the ships that I love the most. I hope you enjoy!)
10. The Sandman
I wasn’t expecting to love The Sandman as much as I did, but I did. I’m also grateful that this is my first dive into Neil Gaiman’s writing, which led me to watching Good Omens, which I also enjoyed. I personally prefer The Sandman’s mythology and the strange way the season is formatted; it has a plotline running through but each episode feels like it’s in an anthology--almost like this was based on a comic series or something. Also, major props to The Sandman for being one of the gayest shows on television. I’ve never seen a show be comprised of probably 95% queer people. It was a marvel. Don’t love that Morpheus hasn’t had any queer relationships yet--doesn’t mean he’s not queer, but so far, hasn’t said anything regarding this. I’d like it if the main character was queer and not just all of the side characters, but I’ll take what I can get.
favorite quote: “What power would Hell have if those imprisoned here were not able to dream of Heaven?”
favorite character: the Corinthian is so fucking cool. Dream is hot too.
favorite episode: “Sleep of the Just,” “24/7,” & “The Sound of Her Wings.” I love them all.
favorite ship: dream/morpheus x hob
9. What We Do in the Shadows
On the topic of “the gayest shows in television,” this one is included. Literally all of these vampires are queer and fucking each other. It’s groundbreaking! It’s also one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever seen. I wish that I had stronger, more genuine bonds of friendship between this group, but they’re vampires that have lived for hundreds of years. Outwardly showing love toward your friends is overrated, I guess.
favorite quote: “Trust me. Gay is in. Gay is hot. I want some gay. Gay it’s gonna be.”
favorite character: laszlo cravensworth, my beloved
favorite episode: “The Wellness Center” (season 3, episode 8)
favorite ship: look, i’d love to ship Nandor and Guillermo but their dynamic is pretty toxic. besides, we all know that they’re all just living in a polycule.
8. That 70′s Show
That 70′s Show is nostalgic for me. My aunt is nine years older than me, so she was a teenager when I was in elementary school. She would watch this show on the television at my grandparents’ house and I’d watch the camera circle around a group of kids getting high in Eric Foreman’s basement and I was invested. I love the group dynamics, the sarcasm, the humor, and the rare emotional moments, too.
favorite quote: “Damn, Jackie, I can’t control the weather!”
favorite character(s): Kitty & Red Foreman (people who don’t like Kitty Foreman need to grow up fr)
favorite episode(s): “Eric’s Buddy” (Season 1, Episode 11), “Grandma’s Dead” (Season 1, Episode 23), and “Garage Sale” (Season 2, Episode 1)
favorite ship(s): hyde x jackie, eric x buddy
7. Stranger Things
If it weren’t for the last two seasons of Stranger Things, this could easily be at the top of the list. But my perception of Stranger Things has changed so much through these last couple of seasons. I still really enjoyed the fourth season, which is why it has remained in my top 10. There’s things to like about season 3 and 4, but they don’t compare to seasons 1 and 2. The mystery, the character development, and the strong relationships between characters made me fall in love with the show. Unfortunately, I feel like this has declined over time, but nonetheless it’s still a fun time, even if the actors will be grown adults playing children by the time season 5 comes out. Also, I’m just begging on my knees for queer characters and relationships in the forefront. Robin is the only openly gay one (so far, we know that Will is canonically gay) and her relationship isn’t a main focus and she isn’t actively in any relationships yet.
favorite quote: “Harrington’s got her, don’t ya, big boy?” & “Do you wanna be normal? Do you wanna be just like everyone else? Being a freak is the best. I'm a freak.”
favorite character(s): steve harrington. eddie munson. robin. my beloveds
favorite episode: “Chapter Four: The Body” (Season 1, episode 4) had me genuinely freaked the fuck out. that’s what got me hooked on this show.
favorite ship: steve x eddie, mike x will (but will deserves better)
6. Freaks and Geeks
It’s actually criminal that Freaks and Geeks was cancelled after one season. I think it is one of the most realistic depictions of high school I’ve ever seen. I felt seen in both Sam and Lindsay Weir. I related to Sam’s awkwardness and finding comfort in a few close friends, but I also related to Lindsay’s desire to fit in and try new things but not exactly finding the right friends. I loved the dynamic, the humor, the references, and the relationships. Overall, it is one of my favorite comfort shows.
favorite quote: “I’ve seen God...he plays drums in Led Zeppelin.”
favorite character: Bill Haverchuck, you comedy genius
favorite episode: “Chokin’ and Tokin’” (episode 13)
favorite ship: look, I would have loved if Lindsay actually liked Nick, because i thought they were really cute together. I don’t get why everyone’s obsessed with Daniel. James Franco is gross on so many levels.
5. Criminal Minds
When I went to college, all of my classmates were studying forensic science because of this show. They all told me to watch it, because literally my whole class was obsessed with it. So I did what they said, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Wow, is this show fun. I haven’t even finished it because I don’t want it to end. This is one of the strongest casts of characters I’ve ever seen. I genuinely love and care about each character. If any of them died, I’d be heartbroken. The cases are compelling and thrilling to watch (well, not all of them, but most of them), and I love watching the BAU figure it out together and take care of each other.
favorite quote: ‘You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you’ve really stopped to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.”
favorite character: obviously the Dr. Spencer Reid. but Penelope Garcia is a VERY close second.
favorite episode: “Amplification” (season 4, episode 24)
favorite ship: reid x morgan (i present evidence A, your honor: “pretty boy”), morgan x garcia (i present evidence A, your honor: every episode of CM), garcia x every woman
4. The X-Files
I recently got into The X-Files because of my friend @midwestmothman and I will forever be in their debt. I haven’t even finished more than two seasons of this show and I’m in love with it. I don’t want to watch it too fast because then it’ll be over, and what do I do then? (I know they have this exact same dilemma.) Mulder and Scully are one of the foundations of so much of our current ship/fandom culture and it’s obvious why. I love the mystery & sci-fi of it all but we all know that it is the chemistry between the two leads that keep us invested even if the episodes aren’t as strong as usual. It’s one of those shows that I could turn on and watch all day.
favorite quote: “Mulder, sometimes I think the world is going to hell and we’re the only two people who can save it.”
favorite character: I can’t pick. They’re both iconic.
favorite episode: “Ice” (season 1, episode 8)
favorite ship: mulder x scully ofc
3. Seinfeld
ok, sorry (not sorry?) but Seinfeld is hilarious.
i absolutely love it. it is partly a nostaliga thing, but when i got old enough to actually give a damn about what i watch i decided i would watch it on my own instead of reruns on my grandfather’s television and i decided on my own that it is one of the most hilarious things i have ever seen.
i am a piece of each of these characters. they’re all complex characters with deep flaws but just as deep character and depth. they’re not meant to be praised; they know they are selfish people but the whole point of the show is that we can laugh at the terrible things that they say that we’re too afraid to joke about (as in like little rude things not hateful things).
this show is iconic. there are so many sayings, so many scenes, so many quotes that are iconic. Kramer--iconic. Seinfeld’s apartment--iconic. they’re all iconic.
obviously i do not care for the actual namesake of the show but every other character has an incredibly special place in my heart.
favorite quote: “You’re a nice guy, but I actually only have three friends. I can’t really handle any more.”
favorite character: the man, the myth, the legend Cosmo Kramer
favorite episode: “the red dot” (season 3, episode 12) & “the voice” (season 9, episode 2)
2. Fleabag
Fleabag has a special place in my heart. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a genius and this show is a testament to that. I thought season one was a great examination of what it’s like to be a woman that feels like she’s being a woman wrong. That she wants to say things and feel things that she’s not supposed to. She also doesn’t know how to handle her grief or to handle love. Then season 2 is a full-blown love story (admitted by Fleabag herself) and I LOVE it. It is so tragic, it is so beautiful, it is so comforting. It is upsetting that Fleabag finally finds someone who gets her but they have a barrier that they can’t overcome. It is one of the most heartbreaking moments of TV for me recently. “I love you.” “It’ll pass.” ARE YOU JOKING.
favorite quote: “I want someone to tell me what to wear every morning. I want someone to tell me what to eat. What to like, what to hate, what to rage about, what to listen to, what band to like, what to buy tickets for, what to joke about, what not to joke about. I want someone to tell me what to believe in, who to vote for, and who to love, and how to tell them. I just think I want someone to tell me how to live my life, Father, because so far I think I’ve been getting it wrong.”
favorite character: fleabag, duh. but obviously the hot priest, too.
favorite episode: series 2, episode 1
favorite ship: fleabag x the hot priest, it truly breaks my heart
1. Succession
Succession is one of the best meshes of comedy and drama that I’ve ever seen. Endlessly quote-able, at times nauseating, at times hysterical, at times the most depressing thing I’ve ever seen. A story of cycles and power and prisons. A tragedy. Witnessing these ups and downs over the past few years have been one of my favorite television experiences. It was like a new Game of Thrones for me. In a similar vein I think both shows ended the way the story demands but weren’t very satisfying in nature. (Spoilers) No one will admit it but Tom being the successor is like Bran being the King at the end for me. I loved it, though. Every minute. (I was secretly rooting for Ken but we don’t need to talk about that.)
favorite quote: all of the best quotes are between Greg and Tom. Tom’s “Are we talking to each other on the deck of a majestic schooner? Is the salty brine stinging my weather-beaten face? No? Then why the fuck are you are wearing a pair of deck shoes man?" always gets a laugh and Greg’s “It’s not like they pre-poop them” response regarding the dog poop bags. Also of course “You can’t make a Tomlette without breaking some Gregs.”
favorite character: roman roy you weird fuck
favorite episode: “This Is Not For Tears” (season 2, episode 10) - probably my favorite episode of television ever
favorite ship: tom x greg, ken x nate somehow?? like can we go back to the line “Man, I forgot how eager you were to get laid at a party”??? also ken x stewy -- once again going back to the line “You like pancakes and waffles and you kiss guys on molly”??? kendall roy & his relationships with men will forever remain one of life’s greatest mysteries
HONORABLE MENTIONS
House
favorite quote: "It's one of the great tragedies of life — something always changes."
favorite character: Dr. James Wilson my BELOVED !!!!!!!!
favorite episode(s): tough because i love “three stories” (season 1, episode 21) but “wilson’s heart” (season 4, episode 16) absolutely destroyed me.
favorite ship: wilson x house ofc
The Great British Bake Off
favorite quote: James Acaster’s “Started making it, had a breakdown.”
favorite contestant: GBBO 2020′s winner PETER (noel’s not a contestant but he’s my favorite) are you kidding me he’s so cute
favorite season: 2020 season
Full House
look, it’s peak nostalgia. I’ve been getting back into it lately.
favorite quote: Stephanie’s “How rude!” and Michelle’s “You’ve got it, dude!”
favorite character: Uncle Jesse. He’s easy on the eyes.
favorite episode(s): “Secret Admirer,” (season 4, episode 5) & “Silence is Not Golden” (season 6, episode 17)
favorite ship: danny x joey x jesse. don’t act like you don’t see it, too!!
Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones used to be my favorite show of all time. It was one of the only shows that kept me in anticipation every week for the next episode. It takes a lot for a TV show to do that. And I loved every minute of this show, even the last season and its ridiculousness. I’ve always felt this, but I feel like that now that we’re a few years out from the finale I think maybe if some people looked back on the last season they wouldn’t think it’s so bad. I thought the ending made sense. It was disappointing, but it made sense. I’m more upset about the character arcs reverting, ending in disappointing ways, or progressing too fast (I’m looking at you, Daenerys.) However, even when it was bad, it was still good. Just not good enough to break my top 10. Close though! That’s why I’m giving it a little speech.
favorite quote: “Our fathers were evil men. All of us here. They left the world worse than they found it. We're not going to do that. We're going to leave the world better than we found it.” (Oh, Daenerys. You had such potential.)
favorite character: jon fucking snow
favorite episode: “The Winds of Winter” (Season 6, episode 10)
favorite ship: jaime x brienne (we almost had it all), jon x ygritte

Spider-Man Read-Through BONUS: Marvel Team-Up 1 (#1-35)
So in my hurry to get through years I've already read, I completely dismissed Marvel Team-Up (1972), Spidey's first concurrent magazine, as something that wasn't worth reading. I may have been wrong, and I need to procrastinate, so here's a quick post where I skim through the issues I missed until now and show anything I find neat.
MASTERPOST
I actually expected the issues to be 100% Spidey and 0% Peter, but...
#1
Spidey_is_bisexual.jpeg
Johnny has a... particular outfit.
That's actually nice!
#2
Great composition.
My favorite kind of plot. Not the moeans, although that too, but "i know you're in there".
#3 features Morbius, and I'm sorry because Dracula is still much more interesting than Morbius to me. Oh well. The Human Torch interrupts one of Peter's classes, that's fun at least!
#4:
Ooooh I immediately recognize those Gil Kane lips...
That's a great scene, I miss that dynamic. I wish we saw more of Harry and Peter's cohabitation.
The Bugle publishes that Peter kidnapped a scientist, so Charles Xavier's on it! I'm really happy I listened to a bunch of episodes of that X-Men podcast because I'm absolutely not lost. It feels like I know these characters so well, hahaha.
...I will pretend this never happened and he kissed Scott instead, and consensually so. Yeah. That's a fun issue though, with the X-Men trying to save Spidey's life.
#5: Spidey gets a new roommate.
Conway didn't have quite the handle on how to write Harry, but that's fine.
The issue features the Puppet Master, and I'm pretty sure I read a recent issue with him and the Fantastic Four.
#6 features the gayest ad I've ever seen.
#7 features interesting stuff.
Notably, Peter soon reveals his secret identity to Thor! And we also see The Watcher as a cameo, nice.
In #8, the Cat (who later becomes Tigra) and Spider-Man team-up against "the Man-Killer", aka Katrina Luisia van Horn. Um.
This issue is alright at least, but it's clear what she's supposed to represent, and I found her quite sympathetic.
9 time! Peter's fagged out, which means, he's gay.
In 10, Peter drinks tea with Johnny.
#11 keeps the time travel plot going. (18)
In #12, Peter wants to get over Gwen's death. We also learn he loves cheeseburger and milk.
In #13, Peter's still not fine.
#14 is about fighting Namor.
#15 features Ghost Rider and the Orb (great designs!) and Peter and MJ on a date.
Like this is great.
In #16, Peter mentions he goes so rarely to the movies he wouldn't be able to differentiate Clint Eastwood from Linda Lovelace, who's a porn actress. Silly writers! Now I want to meta about that tidbit, but I don't have the time. (Note to self: watch Linda Lovelace flicks)
This is actually fascinating.
#17 features Reed Richards. #18 doesn't feature Spidey. In #19 and #20, Spidey's back to the Savage Land... However, MJ inquires about Pete's disappearance! And she features prominently.
#21 features Dr Strange! And #22 Hawkeye! And #23 Iceman and the Human Torch! I briefly discussed that one here, as it's linked to the incredible Giant-Size Spider-Man #1. In #24, there voodoo and buff men.
#25 features Daredevil though! They do the basic and overdone thing of "two heroes fighting for no good reason when they could just talk, and then they fight together". #26 features the Torch and Thor!
In #27, we see the Chameleon!
He's just like me for real.
#28 features another one of Pete's professors. See, that's the worldbuilding I'm after!
In #29, Iron Man pays us a visit.
Oh no, he's hot.
In #30, Gloria Grant (Peter's acquaintance who lives in the same building) is here. We learn about Gloria's family, and she contacts Sam Wilson, who's a friend of a friend. I'm glad to finally see a bit of her life, even if it doesn't last.
#31 features Iron Fist. He has fun with Spidey, then it ends with Peter recording everything that happens to not forget... but he forgets. Hmm, wonder if that will come back later. #32 features the Fantastic Four. #33 features Night Hawk. #34 features Valkyrie! And, finally, #35 features... not Spider-Man. Alright, we're done! I'm not sad that I skipped all of that earlier, it's not really my thing, but I'm glad I skimmed through all that, there was some neat stuff.
See you next time, dear readers!

Adding to this list
Logan actively comparing Deadpool and Nicepool's dicks at the Honda.
Wade waking up shouting Thor's name right after the Honda fight. There's so much insinuation in that timing.
Logan understanding Wade's neuroses well enough to actively use Doggypool as a human shield when a long running gag of his character is that nobody understands he's crazy.
The knowledge at the helm of all of this is a chaos bisexual in a time tree, and he sent them a Honda Odyssey with an infinite number of seatbelts. Loki is all of us.
Logan calling Chris Evans a kid. This man's daddy energy is unmatched.
Wade risking the timeline to check out Logan's abs.
Logan telling his timeline to get fucked so he can share a bed with Wade and a senior citizen who will almost certainly make him sniff for coke.
In regards to the brat and brat tamer vibes, Logan would be the level best character to put in the path of a mentally unstable clown show whose entire personality is a trauma response, if said clown show was going to end up important to the larger Marvel universe. I think he's going to end up standing in for the grounding presence Spider-Man served in their crossover comics.
This movie, I don't know how it got made, but like goddamn.... It's a masterclass on queer undertones. It's right up there Xena and Supernatural, but somehow even less subtle. It's one of the gayest things I've ever seen, and I'm a pansexual, in her late 30s, with a pool. To be quite honest, I thought queer cinema peaked in my backyard, but I was wrong.
Things that make me lose my mind: Poolverine edition:
"Are you ready to be calm?"
"Not all of you was asleep."
Logan telling Wade that he'll never save the universe and it cuts to Wade looking like he'd been hit by a truck and the pan back to Logan instantly regretting it and getting even angrier than he was + Wade taking it all silently.
Wade using his thighs and leg to smash Logan's head into the side of the car.
Leg over Logan's shoulder as he penetrates Wade + Wade arching up and taking it like a good boy.
"I take it back, the Honda Odyssey fucks hard. Too bad you don't, needle dick." (ok, BRAT.)
"Oh we're just getting started, bub." (ok brat tamer.)
Logan smiling with Wade's blood dripping into his mouth. (freak...)
That shot of Wade bricked up in the back seat.
The entire Honda Odyssey scene alright. It's called sex when you're gay.
"You're the one that I want" Playing as they're trying to maul each other by the way.
D: "You smell something?" W: Yeah, you. A lot of you." Right before the DP variants appear. (why do you know what Wade smells like hm? that's gay.)
A song about blowjobs playing as they fight all the DP variants. "I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there???" and "I hear you call my name, and it feels like home" (gay.)
From "Did you just say you made an educated fucking wish?" to "Don't listen to him he's a liar." to "You didn't lie, you made an educated wish."
From "It's one of god's best jokes that you can't die" to breaking down the reinforced steel door to get to Wade.
Wade getting jealous when other people were ogling Logan shirtless and Logan actually listening to Wade and putting on a jacket.
"They called after me and I ignored them." To Wade calling Logan's name and taking a second before turning and going home with him.
The way Logan looks at Wade when he's being introduced to Blind Al. (I haven't seen him smile like this ever.)

tw guy who bitches about the mcu
"Agatha All Along is the gayest show Marvel ever made! Will it feature anything or anyone that is actually gay? Maybe by the finale? Or in a post-credit scene? Please? Pretty please? I'm starving and a witch (queer) has cursed me to only be able to eat the scraps Kevin Fiege chucks from his window? I'll die. Help"
