Note
wait how do people know that gardevoir can summon black holes if a black hole would literally end the entire world
because you’re citing a pokédex entry written by a 12 year old whose idea of a black hole is the same as a shadow ball

With Typhlosion trending, I think it's time to bring up the, "Humans and pokemon were one in the same," and the implications that humans uses to breed with pokemon. Please do not worry, this post is as SFW as it can be, but I do apologize for some other stuff that mighr be brought into it. I'm just discussing the origins of where these ideas came from.
"Did people mary pokemon?"
Yes, and while I'm sure there are some... different cases, most of the marriage worked differently than human marriages. The marriage itself was about the union; not the romance or the children that were expected of from marriage at the time. I explained it in this post, but the Diamond and Pearl clans of Sinnoh would "mary" their lord or lady pokemon, not in a romantic sense, but in a union sense. The wardens would still be allowed to have relations with or marry humans. Even outside of the clans, there were some instances of people marrying their pokemon to show a union between them that wasn't romantic.
In modern day, marrying your pokemon partner is considered taboo due to the modern ideas of marriage focusing on the romantic aspect of it only. Modern-day members of the Diamond and Pearl clans will still sometimes have the practices of weddings with their lord or lady pokemon, even if they are not legally married. It's important to know that, if you're meeting a warden who is married to their lord or lady, that they are bonded in marriage, but not in the way that modern society sees marriage.
The clans have always seemed to view pokemon as one of them. There are instances of people calling their partner pokemon their brothers, sisters, parents, or children. While I do not originate from these clans, I do follow a similar belief. I have been partners with my Dragapult, Aosmhor, since I was 10 years old, and she feels like a sister to me. I do not use pokeballs on my pokemon (accept for Mallaithe the Runerigus, but that was a catch-or-die situation) because I follow a similar belief that they can be used to control your pokemon. These pokemon feel like family to me, and I do not wish to put them into tiny balls.
"Can humans and pokemon have kids?"
Theoretically? Yes. But not with just any pokemon. It's assumed that humans could potentially make a successful embryo with related species to us, like Oranguru or Gardevoir, but no one (that we know of) has ever tried to make an embryo in a lab or anywhere else. There could've been some potential hybrids in history, but nothing ever fully concrete.
//Don't come at me, I didn't just pull this outta my ass. There was a successful human/chimpanzee embryo in a lab
"Where did the myths of humans having children with pokemon originate?"
One reason is that it was most likely to explain why a pokemon looks the way it does. Typhlosion can be mistaken for human from a faraway distance (same height as a human, very human-like eyes, sometimes walks on 2 legs), and people back then must've thought it was part human/part pokemon. It's also why there are so many myths of Ghost Types once being human; to explain their odd behaviours. While I'm actually a believer that some ghost types were once human (Yamask, Spiritomb), pokemon like Gengar most likely weren't human. But, there are myths of it once being human because it follows humans, hides in human's shadows and, despite its wideness, it is the same height as a small human.
The stories could also just be for entertainment or to teach a lesson. A common theme amongst a lot of folklore is, "don't be tricked by seduction." Since fairytales love their symbolism, they'd often use pokemon such as Foxmon or Humanoid-mon as the symbolism for seduction, since many foxes are able to do magic or are just very sneaky, and some humanoid-mons can be easy to mistake for human women. It's why there's so much folklore of Zoroark turning into beautiful women, Primarina luring men to their deaths, and Kantonian Ninetales luring men into the woods with illusions of beautiful women. It's not literal; it's all a metaphor.
Some do have a grain of truth, though. Zoroark would use their illusions to look like humans, but Hisuian Zoroark rarely did this since they wanted to avoid humans. Primarina have beautiful voices that would enchant any sailor, but since they were still wild Pokemon, the Primarina must've felt threatened or scared by the sailors and would harm them in self defense. Ninetales create illusions from fire, and will sometimes use these illusdions to keep people away. But, they rarely ever do it to keep people in the forest, since they dont like anyone in their territory, and the illusions were often scary. But, for the sake of storytelling snd explaining things they couldnt understand, they would change it.
Then there's Frolass, who will just lure men away and freeze them. That one's real. Beware of Froslass if you're a man or too masculine presenting. Unless you're my kid apparently. Froslass just get confused looking at them...

Intro
Hello! My name is Sunny☀️ and I use she/her/they/them pronouns. I am a pokemon trainer and and and up and coming coordinator living in Hoenn. I'll mostly post my stuff about the hoenn league, pokemon contests, pokemon or just some random stuff.
Here's my picture 📷
Tumblr media
(Picrew by me!)
Other stuff
I have been living in Hoenn for my entire life here so if you have any questions about the region you can ask me! The history, culture, pokemon that lives there anything!👍
I was a huge fan of watching pokemon contests on tv and admired the coordinators performing on stage so that's what inspired me to become a coordinator.
I also learning about pokemon on @quillpokebiology blog. You should check them out there really awesome!
I also have a penpal name Callister who owns the @pokeblogingalar. He's awesome so check him out too!
Also please talk to me I'm really lonley🥺
My team
My mom was a pokemon rescuer and she would adopt them when I was little so my childhood was involved with a lot of pokemon and basically loved pokemon ever since I was a little baby :) Some of the pokemon I had were given to me on my birthdays and some of them I caught in the wild when I was 10 thanks to my dad teaching me (he's a pokemon professor btw). Thanks mom and dad!
But anyways here's my team!
Phoenix the Blaziken ♂️
Move set: Flamethrower, Blaze Kick, Stone edge, Thunder punch
I had Phoenix ever since he was a little pokemon egg. My mom rescued the egg from a forest fire and knew when the egg hatched it wouldn't be able to survive because the eviorment got destroyed and couldn't find it's mother so she brought it home and later hatched into a Torchic. Me and Phoenix are really close and he helped me a lot during the gym challenges. He sometimes acts like a older brother figure to the rest of my team and is really nice, patient and smart!
Siren the Milotic ♀️
Moveset: Hydro Pump, Bubble Beam, Disarming Voice, Aqua Ring
I got Siren from a pokemon breeding center after I got my first gym badge. She's quite shy but loves it when I groom her. She also hates it when she get's dirty but is sweet nonetheless.
Cloudy the Altaria ♂️
Moveset: Mist, Dazzling Gleam, Dragon pulse, Draco Meteor
Cloudy was a present I got from my mom when I was 9 years old. He was a swablu at the time. He's really energetic and loves to play so he's really productive. But sometimes he can be gremlin and loves to bother my other pokemon just for fun.
Aurora the Gardevoir ♀️
Moveset: Prismatic Laser, Energy Ball, Physic, Light Screen
I caught Aurora when she was a Kirlia back when I was on my way to the 3rd gym. I managed to complete the gym in one sweep thanks to her. (She's one tough cookie!). Aurora acts like a older sister to my team so she gets along with them very well. But she doesn't tolerate Cloudy's antics and scolds whenever he does something stupid.
Apollo the Absol ♂️
Moveset: Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, Swords Dance
Apollo was another pokemon I got from mom as a present on my 11th birthday. I always gushed about having an absol because I thought they were so cool. I didn't know what to name him so my dad recommended the name Apollo. Apollo also helped me a lot on my gym challenges so I'm really grateful for that. I knew that Absol's dislike fighting so I only used him if my other pokemon had fainted and he was the only one left and mostly use him for contests. Apollo is a bit more reclusive than Siren but still he's nice!
Angel the Sylveon ♀️
Moveset: Fairy Wind, Attract, Swift, Moon Blast
Last but not least Angel! I got Angel when she was an eevee. Poor thing was bullied by a bunch of mightyena so I drove the pack away with Phoenix and Aurora. I guess I got my 'helping pokemon' genes from my mom. Since then she started to follow me everywhere and I didn't wanted to leave the cute thing alone so I decided to catch her! Since then I have been taking of her with proper care, love and attention and then she evolved into sylveon and gotten much stronger. Like her name suggests she is a huge sweetheart and loves to be productive❤
Other:
Via the Shiny Beautifly ♀️
Moveset: Shadowball, Pollen Puff, Silver Wind, Morning Sun
This is Via our newest member of the pokemon peforming team! She is sooo beautiful, precious and I caught her last week! She is a bit shy and not much of a battler like Apollo but a kind-hearted darling♡ I am going to take good care of her!
Well that's all! Also I really have to thank the power of friendship for the evolving Angel into a sylveon!!
Rules:
-I am a minor and this is SFW blog.
-If I see anyone being homophobic, xenophobic(racism), pedophilic I will block you.
-I will not tolerate any kind of bullying or any kind of harrassment.
-No spamming either. I will post here and there so please be patient.
-We all have different opinions about something related to pokemon like 'this pokemon is the best or this pokemon is not the best'. So please respect each other's opinions even if we don't agree.
That's all!

Fables say gardevoir can foresee the future. They might not actually have those abilities passively, but it’s still worth noting. In ancient times gardevoir was often recorded saving its trainer from harm at the last moment. So aim your shots carefully, and don’t make your presence known. Pokemon that can sense emotions are dangerously perceptive.

[Cw. violence between two pokémon]
[A recording is uploaded. Samantha the Gardevoir has already decided to go outside, it seems that she already knows what's about to happen. she points towards the Camera, then Bits hiding spot. she isn't surprised when Bit comes out from his hiding Place. ]
[she approaches him, and runs her hand over the Horn. She knows what he wants she. Bit is sweating, as much as a porygon2 can sweat, which means that his wireframes become visible and he switches to Phong Reflection. ]
[she stops in front of him, she has accepted her fate, her future sight sees that the universal convergence has to end. she stretches her arms out. as if to say "do it."]
[Bit has regained his Determination and starts attacking the Horn with his Ice Beam. Samantha falls to her knees, it seems to hurt her. but Bit doesn't stop. He has a Goal. He won't stop until the Horn has been completely frozen over.]
[It is covered in Ice, Bit starts pecking at it like a Video of a Drinking bird that has been sped up by a Factor of 1000. Now its time. he uses his Psychokinesis to lift the Horn, and then throws a barrage of Shadow Balls at her they hi- ]

(hey, here's a newer format i might try out to get the storybeats figured out. apologies in advance for more rushed art, i'm still in a bit of an artblock.)
Moving In (3)
It's morning. Gardevoir doesn't really enjoy mornings. Gardevoir doesn't seem to enjoy a lot, really.
Gardevoir decides to go out for a walk. She doesn't even really 'enjoy' walks, she just needed the alone time. As she paces through the nearby forest Gardevoir finds herself starting to wake up more, in a rather decent mood too. Around then, a rather distracting rustling noise comes in. It's fairly loud, it's very annoying. It's TOO annoying.
Tumblr media
Gardevoir just nonchalantly throws a Shadow Ball at the rustling, whatever was making the rustling was directly hit, "Shut the fuck UP." Gardevoir begins, before the creature causing the disturbance loudly exclaims "OWWAAH!" Gardevoir hadn't fully waken up so the pained cry startled her a bit. Whatever empath was left over in the scraggly Gardevoir took over for a second as she went to check up on whatever she just nailed. Gardevoir pushes the bush leaves back to reveal a Butterfree writhing in pain on the ground nex to a half-eaten Oran berry. "Oh. Hello." Gardevoir awkwardly stares at the poor thing, knowing that she was absolutely to blame. The Butterfree was just eating and she knocked it's lights out cuz it disturbed her 'Brooding Wake Up' walk.
Tumblr media
Gardevoir rather hesitantly starts to inch away from the Butterfree before bolting it back to the house. So far her day hasn't gone that well. Gardevoir, oddly politely, knocks on her trainer Sandra's door. It's barely bright out as morning has only barely arrived, so there was no guarantee there would be an answer, but lo and behold Sandra comes out, messy hair, drooped face, wearing her all-black pajamas. "What. On Earth. Could've POSSIBLY made you come wake me up?" Sandra moodily asks, Gardevoir rather embarrassingly replies "uh.. s-So I was doing my morning walk, right? And the strangest thing happens, this Butterfree comes up on me out of NOWHERE," She's clearly bullshitting, and Sandra sees right through her like glass, "s-so uh.. I kinda tossed a Shadow Ball at it, and now it's just kinda… suffering in the forest over there." Sandra gives her the most obvious disappointed face she possibly could. "Okay, whatever, I'm sure the VISCOUS and BLOODTHIRSTY Butterfree got what was coming to it…" Sandra starts to close the door about to attempt to go back to sleep, before her senses finally also wake up, "Wait, wait, you just left it there?" "uh" "… okay. Go wake Shroud up, let's go see."
Tumblr media
Sandra and her little team of two make their way out to the forest to where Gardevoir ruined the Butterfree's morning, to find it STILL wincing and writhing in pain. "Damn, I thought I was getting rusty." Gardevoir remarks. Shroud goes up to the Butterfree and gives it a Sitrus to gnaw on while Sandra goes to comfort it. "Did the Jolly Green Giant getcha?" It nods as it takes a comically large bite off the berry "Yeah, well.. Let's go get you all fixed up." Sandra gently lifts the Butterfree off the ground and starts to bring her back to the house.

Cynthia vs Diantha
"Heh, I expected you to have more respect for me than to go into this match with a disadvantage..." A small smile crossed Diantha's lips as she and Cynthia stood across from each other on the beach with Garchomp and Gardevoir between them.
"It's not disrespect, Garchomp's my strongest pokemon, and I wouldn't want to go into this with anything less than my best. For this battle I want to do things at my peak even if that makes it more difficult." Cynthia held up the lipstick tube holding her keystone while Diantha prepared her own Mega Charm.
"LET'S GO!" Twin orbs of light engulfed the Champions' ace pokemon sending shockwaves across the beach and rippling the waves as Garchomp and Gardevoir exploded with energy and transformed into their Mega Forms.
"They haven't even started yet and they're already making a mess..." Dawn sighed, shaking her head from the sidelines.
"Yeah, guess it makes sense why this one is on the beach instead of the usual arena, even this far away I bet they're feeling it back at the villa." Touko smirked, crossing her arms and glancing up towards the villa on the hill overlooking the beach.
"Shadow Ball!" Diantha called, a sphere of dark energy forming in front of the Mega Gardevoir and firing at Garchomp.
"Garchomp, Sandstorm!" With a single mighty stomp, Garchomp kicked up enough sand from the beach to create a massive torrent of swirling sand surrounding the arena, simultaneously obscuring its position for an instant to dodge the opposing projectile.
"I see, creating a home field advantage that'll hurt Gardevoir and power up your Garchomp's moves, now I'm the one on the backfoot." Diantha's mind puzzled through her options, knowing prep time inside the buffeting winds of the sandstorm would only whittle down her chances but rushing in against the behemoth would be equally foolish. "Gardevoir, Reflect!" Focusing her power, Gardevoir created a barrier wall around her to reduce Garchomp's ability to damage it, cancelling out its sandstorm boost and then some.
"Just what I thought you'd do." Cynthia grinned, wordlessly instructing Garchomp to close the distance between them, practically surfing on the wall of sand swirling around them and popping out right next to Gardevoir. "Brick Break!" Focusing the power of its claw into a karate chop, it struck Gardevoir in the side, shattering the Reflect's defensive abilities in an instant. It did minimal damage on its own but it was essentially making Diantha's efforts a waste of time which was all the more dangerous as she watched her pokemon take continuous damage from the Sandstorm with each passing moment.
Diantha didn't seem worried at all however, a thin smile crossing her lips again. "And that's just what I thought you'd do... Now you're in range and can't use the sandstorm as cover. Just because Garchomp is a special attacker doesn't mean I can't take advantage of point-blank range."
"Wait, what are you..."
"HYPER VOICE!" Like an acetelene torch firing up, a small focused burst of sound emerged from Gardevoir's mouth only to turn pink and explode into a dome of energy that pierced the veil of the sandstorm as Mega Gardevoir's Pixelate added power and Fairy Type to the otherwise Normal Hyper Voice.
"Garchomp!" Cynthia called out, but it was slightly too late to dodge, Garchomp barely able to turn out of the blast at all, making it not a direct hit but devastating all the same. "So you switched up your moveset since the last time we battled huh?"
"Can't keep coming to you with the same old tricks." Diantha grinned proudly. Once the smoke cleared Garchomp was on one knee, still standing but struggling to get upright. "It can't dodge, Gardevoir, Hyper Voice again!"
"Garchomp, DOWN!" Cynthia commanded in a way that wouldn't be immediately obvious to her opponent but was a clear indication to her partner that had spent hours and hours training with her and learning each others' signals intimately. Once again the Hyper Voice collected around Gardevoir's mouth before changing color and exploding outwards, in an energy blast that not only shook away the sandstorm completely but kept going across the sea line and into the nearby forest across the beach, ripping through several of the trees in its wake.
Expecting to see either her imminent victory or some desperate attempt to turn the tables, Diantha was surprised to see nothing when the smoke and sand cleared again. It took a moment too long for her mind to put the pieces together, partially due to the fact that the hole from where Garchomp had been standing was somewhat camoflauged by sand sinking into it. "Gardevoir, below you!"
"DIIIIG!!" Cynthia shouted as the land shark pokemon emerged right underneath Gardevoir's feet, delivering a powerup uppercut to the fairy-type pokemon along with all the rocks and debris it carried up with it buffeting Diantha's ace.
Expecting that to be the end of it, Diantha planned her next move, with Gardevoir having been hit with that and several turns of the Sandstorm's winds chipping away at her, it seemed both pokemon would be down to the wire soon, but she still had the type advantage. To her horror however, Cynthia wasn't about to give them the chance to regroup.
"Pin it!" The Champion shouted, Garchomp going straight from the connecting blow from Dig to spinning its whole body, rotating from the punch to knock Gardevoir off-balance and pin the Kalos Champion's pokemon under its large foot. "You're not the only one who likes point-blank attacks..."
Having enough of being caught a second behind, Diantha pivoted to an immediate offense, not willing to let the swift combo rob them of their chance to finish this. Even though it was pinned, she instructed her pokemon not to fight the position and simply hit her opponent with everything she had.
"Garchomp..."
"Gardevoir..."
"EARTHQUAKE!!!"
"MOONBLAST!!!"
The two signature moves went off within seconds of each other, Gardevoir channeling a huge amount of pink energy that was less intense than the Hyper Voice but covered a wider range while Garchomp struck the very earth itself hard enough to cause a massive fissure in the beach, rumbling with the foot directly on top of Gardevoir carrying with it the powerful tremor as if the natural disaster was coursing through every fiber of her being.
The ground split and the heavens erupted, the pink light from the Moonblast glistening in the sky as if there was a full moon in broad daylight and the spider-web of fissures caused by the Earthquake changing the landscape of the beach for quite some time.
The two Champions and their spectators watched with hardly a breath between them as the smoke cleared to see who would emerge victorious. With a mighty roar, Garchomp raised a scythe-like claw out of the scattered sand, panting and barely able to hold its Mega form any longer as the silver light reverted it back to its base physique, Gardevoir lying in the sand behind it thoroughly fainted.
"Heh, guess it missed, it's probably pretty hard to aim when you have an Earthquake going on on top of you..." Cynthia chuckled softly, amused with her victory.
"Good job Gardevoir." Diantha sighed, returning her pokemon. "It was pretty foolish of me to think I could win a quick draw when the enemy was literally on top of us..." The Kalos Champion shook her head but smiled over at Cynthia.
"Guess lunch is on me today."

Ambrose and Elliot: With Pokemon!
Ambrose and Elliot Masterpost
I've been getting into Pokemon again recently and I'm here to inflict that on all of you
Here's the pokemon teams for Elliot, Ambrose, and Janus:
Elliot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Growlithe: Level 15, Ability: intimidate, Nature: Gentle
Moveset: Bite, Ember, Leer, Protect
As a gift from Ambrose, Growlithe is more of a service dog than a battle pokemon. He follows Elliot everywhere, which soothes Elliot's anxiety. His warm and plush fur keeps Elliot comfy at night, and his moves keep people who scare Elliot far away. When Elliot is frightened, Growlithe will keep watch over him.
2. Mimikyu: Level 6, Ability: Disguise, Nature: Naughty
Moveset: Astonish, Copycat, Splash, Shadow Sneak
Mimikyu followed Elliot home one day after he went for a walk. Elliot and Mimikyu are good friends, but Elliot doesn't know any of her moves. Mimikyu just likes hanging out with him, and Elliot doesn't really consider her 'his'. People learn not to ask questions about it.
As a non-violent person, Elliot has never battled, nor has any desire to. His pokemon are his friends, and that's good enough for him.
Ambrose
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Gardevoir: Level 49, Ability: Synchronize, Nature: Modest
Moveset: Psychic, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss
Ambrose received this pokemon as a wedding gift when she was a wee ralts. His only pokemon to know Janus, Gardevoir misses him almost as much as Ambrose. Currently, she helps Ambrose run the inn.
2. Mudsdale: Level 40, Ability: Own Tempo, Nature: Docile
Moveset: Earthquake, Heavy Slam, Stomp, Iron Defense
Mudsdale is very helpful when Ambrose needs to travel, and is a calm and steady steed. Ambrose hoped Elliot would be willing to learn to ride him, but Ellie is too scared of horses to try.
3. Pidgeot: Level 38, Ability: Keen Eye, Nature: Jolly
Moveset: Fly, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, Roost
Pidgeot has delivered messages and packages to the inn since he was a little pidgey. Pidgeot is reliable and never late; and is not very fond of James. He does like Elliot, but Ellie is also a bit scared of him.
Ambrose was headhunted as a gym leader when he was younger, but his parents made him turn it down. It's one decision he actually stands by, as he does love raising pokemon but doesn't want to be forced to use only one type. All of his pokemon are battle-vialble, but they work at Hearthwood Inn instead of fighting. He thinks it's a good precaution to have high level pokemon around.
Janus
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Zoroark: Level 100, Ability: Illusion, Nature: Impish
Moveset: Shadow Ball, Foul Play, Crunch, Calm Mind
Janus's first pokemon, Zoroark has always been there, and always will be. He likes to play pranks, just like Janus.
2. Milotic: Level 70, Ability: Marvel Scale, Nature: Mild
Moveset: Surf, Ice Beam, Body Slam, Dragon Dance
3. Galarian Rapidash: Level 68, Ability: Pastel Veil, Nature: Careful
Moveset: Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, Smart Strike, Agility
4. Serperior: Level 68, Ability: Overgrow, Nature: Serious
Moveset: Solar Beam, Energy Ball, Dragon Pulse, Giga Drain
5. Luxray: Level 66, Ability: Intimidate, Nature: Hasty
Moveset: Discharge, Volt Switch, Swift, Thunder Wave
6. Alolan Marowak: Level 66, Ability: Lightning Rod, Nature: Calm
Moveset: Flame Thrower, Shadow Bone, Earthquake, Hex
Janus has all the time in the world to raise and train pokemon, and it shows. This team is only his current pokemon, as he has raised and said goodbye to many before. Zoroark is his only constant.

I have no clue how competitive pokemon works but here's how I'd design a cute team that can also kill you based on what I see others do online
Whimsicott would hold a red card and knows the moves energy ball, moonblast, pyschic, and encore.
Miniku would hold a muscle band and know the moves shadow claw, play rough, leech life, and pain split.
Snorlax would hold a figy berry and know the moves body slam, fire punch, iron head, and curse.
Gardevoir would hold a choice scarf and know the moves psychic, moonblast, trick, and healing wish.
Primarina would hold choice specs and know the moves hypervoice, moonblast, hidden power, and energy ball
Tapu koko would hold a choice scarf and know the moves thunderbolt, hidden power, volt switch, and dazzling gleam
More competetive pokemon team ideas coming soon if this post gets attention
I already have ideas for colour themed teams that could kill you lol

WHOMST HATH AWOKETH ME?
Hey guys, did you know the in terms of human-pokemon relationships, Gardevoir is by far the best possible partner? On top of their intellect rivaling that of Homo Sapiens (more rather, humans) thanks to their Psychic-Fairy lineage, their hidden ability, Telepathy, allows you to communicate with your gardevoir about what both of you would want, consent to any activity both parties would be interested in, discuss optimal battle strategies, and more. This means that miscommunication would be miniscule at worst. Even without Telepathy, Synchronize and Trace provides excellent utility in and out of battles. Gardevoir can also read the future, allowing both of you to anticipate any events that would've been otherwise disastrous. Of course we cannot forget the fact that the species themselves are loyal to their trainers, bordering on fanaticism. So long as you treat them right, they'll be by your side, through and through. They can also learn life-important moves like Calm Mind, Heal Pulse, Teleport, Psych Up, Psychic, and more. As a means of assisting you in anything at hand, or you just need to vent about that annoying co-worker at your workplace. In battles, thay can equip themselves with powerful moves such as Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Moonblast, Focus Blast, and Energy Ball. Thus, allowithem to exploit their powerful Special Attack and decent Speed. It gets better when you successfully Mega Evolve them, as it boosts their already powerful stats. Best of all, the species' gender ratio is about 50-50. In other words, the ladies who would consider wanting a husbando Gardevoir isn't beyond the realm possibility. A win-win scenario for both human males and females who want a waifu or husbando in their lives, respectively. Arceus definitely knew what he was doing. With Amazing Special Attack, Special Defense and Impressive Speed means they can be the best waifu/husbando for you and for others, and many more to come.

Diantha and Synchronization.
Chris here again.
For those who don't know, we've spent the last several months in Unova competing in this year's World Coronation Series and have recently reached the top 50 after defeating Celica Swann a few days ago.
I had no expectation to get this far, but now that we have got there, the next milestone is a huge one. This part of WCS is basically a classic e4 challenge. Out of our 5 scheduled Ultra Rank placement matches for the near future (not including exhibitions or challenges from lower ranks which we get a lot more of), we've completed and won 2. If we win 2 more, then the 6th will be none other than current Kalos Champion Diantha.
It won't be our first run in with a champion, in the Sinnoh league we've had the opportunity to test our skills against our own champion Cynthia seven times.
However of those seven battles, six of them we got absolutely destroyed, and the seventh we only drew because Cynthia got maybe 4 hours of sleep the previous night and was in a huge slump. Its why, while we're technically hall of famers, I don't really consider it earned, we got in on a technicality.
One thing we've learned from those encounters is that it requires far more thought about how to answer each threat a champion's team presents. Diantha's team in particular is extremely well balanced and adaptable. I'm working on prep for each member but for sake of brevity here I'm going to let Freya talk about who is overwhelmingly the most dangerous threat:
------------------------
Meet Giselle (Right obviously).
Tumblr media
She is the Gardevoir who works as Diantha's ace, and in Ralts communities around the world she's become a very distinct celebrity of her own (although in a way more similar to Cynthia then to her trainer ;>). Throughout her career, Giselle has built up a reputation as being among the best fighters in our species recorded history, and she has pioneered a lot of tactics which have become standard. For example: I use a lot of short ranged teleport spam, which doesn't use the move and therefore doesn't require a slot. Well, she's the one who brought that tactic into the mainstream.
Her style also makes use of a lot of telekinesis, especially using it on herself to levitate above the ground and gain some pretty insane mobility. Offensively, she tends to forgo setup and complexity in favor of all out aggression and power with a wide variety of projectile options, alongside the classic psychic/moonblast combo, her gotos are shadow ball and thunderbolt, which work as a mixup and area denial option respectively.
TL;DR she's a complete beast ;>
Alright back to Chris
-----------------
As a trainer, the pair of them also have another advantage, that being that Diantha, while she often tries to keep this secret, has some very minor psychic abilities, which allows the two of them to, in a very limited capacity exchange commands telepathically.
Even that small amount however provides a massive advantage in coordination, one of our biggest recent losses was against a psychic trainer who was able to communicate with her ace exclusively through telepathy due to that advantage.
Trying to replicate a similar effect on our end is the biggest way we can even the odds, however because I'm not psychic and we haven't really looked into this before so far there's been no luck.
However we might be able to make some progress soon, as I was able to order one of the Synchro Machines being worked on by the blueberry academy faculty of engineering, which claims to be able to enable telepathic communication and even sense sharing between even non psychic humans and their pokemon.
Will update here and on chatter about the results of that, hopefully we'll be able to apply some of things that happen with that.

Sam vs. Sam
The two Sams faced one another down across the small field, one still fiddling with the device on her wrist. “Can’t say I necessarily like this thing.” Samara admitted, before engaging it with a slight click. A dull hum filled the air. “But it seems to be working. Limiter Engage. Give me a second to test that it’s working.”
Samara sent out Mordred, and the noivern bristled. “Yep, it’s working.” He confirmed. “Infinity energy output stifled. I haven’t felt this weak in years.”
“Sorry Mordred, just got to have it so-“
“We don’t break Paldea’s little “gym” fields. I know I know.” Mordred replied. “Just turn that off when we’re not battling. It makes me feel constipated.”
This earned a slight snort from the other Sam, before they offered a thumbs up. “All good to go Samara?” They asked from across the field.
“Always.” Samara said, turning as the fall winds whipped up her long coat and mane of white hair. A predatory grin spread across her face, amber eyes igniting with adrenaline. She recalled Mordred, and locked her pokeball at her side. “Ready to go?”
“Gulp. Probably not but let’s do this anyways.”
“That’s the spirit. Bedivere I choose you!”
“Amber, let’s go!”
The two Sams sent out their pokemon, a gardevoir gracefully entering the field, opposite a flygon zipping out of its ball, already a blur of confusing motion. The two stared one another down, unmoving tranquility against calculated chaos.
“Alright, go with something reliable. Moonblast!” Sam called out.
“Predictable. Bedivere, advancing guard.” Samara ordered in turn.
The Gardevoir looked towards the shadow of the moon on the blue sky, and gathered an orb of potent arcane energies, before hurling it towards the rapidly advancing Flygon. There was a flash of contrasting power, and Bedivere soared through, one of his wings held before him like a shield, wreathed in the cold-iron power of steel energy. The Flygon hit the Gardevoir like a brick to the belly, striking low and sending her flying back, grounded steel energies draining her as the blow stole the breath from her lungs.
“This strong? Even with a limiter?” She pondered, before she bit down hard on a bebi berry, a surge of energy countering the draining effect of the steel, before landing on her feet, palm raised with another moonblast. “Not enough!”
“Too close to dodge or block. Let him have it!” Sam ordered.
“Underestimate us at your peril. Bedivere, Steel wing.” Samara replied, grin unfading.
Amber’s moonblast went wide, stinging steel still a blossoming burn on her wrist. Then Bedivere hit her again at the legs, sweeping them out from under her with his tail. “What? I outsped him?” Her thoughts resounded telepathically, before Bedivere’s steel wing hit her throat like an axe, slamming her into the ground and out of the fight.
“You never did.” Samara explained. “Advancing guard is negative priority in exchange for the increased defense. I knew it wouldn’t OHKO, so I used it to resist your moonblast and close in enough to blitz you, while at the same time luring you into a false sense of security so you didn’t switch out or protect, since you thought you could outspeed Bedivere and finish him. A good tactic, but one anticipated by my strategy.”
“That makes sense. Nice job. Alright, Mimi you’re up!” Sam replied, sending out their mimikyu instead.
“Watch your pokeball placement, you’re already in Bedivere’s 1-second range. Bed, demonstrate with another steel wing!” Samara cautioned, as the Mimikyu appeared relatively close to the Flygon. That distance vanished in an instant, as a steel wing hit the disguised ghost in the side of the head. Curiously, the attack didn’t move the curious pokemon by an inch, only breaking the disguise.
“No, you’re in mine.” Sam replied, a grin spreading. “Drain punch!”
The mimikyu moved with surprising speed, landing a powerful uppercut that knocked Bedivere out of the air and left him unconscious on the floor. Samara recalled him, pondering carefully. “That disguise really is quite something.” she admitted. “And the speed, it reminds me of the quickdraw Clay’s Exadrill uses. Certainly, a dangerous opponent. But one with plenty of weaknesses.”
She sent out her Goodra, Gawain, as close to her edge of the battlefield as possible. “Gawain, soak them through with Scald.”
“Well she’s seen your speed, show it off again!” Sam ordered. “Close in and heal off the scald with a drain punch!”
A powerful burst of boiling water impacted the mimikyu, but it pressed through with frightening quickness to land a body blow against towering goo dragon, pushing him back half a step. The two made a slightly comical pair, like an elephant had just been punched by a mouse.
“Don’t let them get away, keep the pressure on with another one!” Sam ordered.
“We don’t need to run, this round is ours. Ice beam.” Samara replied calmly. Gawain looked down at the Mimikyu jumping at his face, and unleashed a blue beam of pure cold. The mimikyu stiffened, and then bounced harmlessly off of the goo dragon. It wiggled slightly, the ghost within trying to move, but now trapped by its first waterlogged, and now frozen solid cotton cover.
“We’re not done yet. I know this is going to sound weird, but Mimi, use drain punch on your own costume! You can break out!”
“Too late. You’ve already taken enough damage. Finish this with another ice beam.” Samara ordered, and Gawain complied, another blast of cold leaving the frozen mimikyu utterly immobile. “I’m surprised you didn’t go for a play rough. That would have been some trouble.” She noted to the other Sam.
“I, err… don’t have that registered on Mimi right now. I wanted to have Shadow claw instead.”
“Interesting.” Samara replied. “We can discuss moveset theory later though. For now, we have a battle.”
“Right, let’s go May!” Sam nodded, sending out his Lopunny, this time aiming to place her as close to Gawain as possible. Samara nodded approvingly. “Gawain, scald shield.”
“Sunny Day!” Sam ordered, and Samara blinked in surprise. She paused for a moment, thinking through possible reasons why he could have gone for that instead of attacking. Had he predicted the Scald Shield? She looked towards Gawain, who dropped the sphere of boiling water protecting him, as the sun beat down on them both. She couldn’t use that move twice in a row, so now he was vulnerable. Furthermore, Scald was weaker, meaning she couldn’t rely on it to burn and weaken the physical attacker.
“Good job faking me out with that.” Samara acknowledged. “You’ve put me a bit on the back foot, but not that far. Sludge bomb!”
“Play rough!” Sam ordered. “Just like we planned!”
Samara’s eyes narrowed. He did have the sense to bring it after all. Her face tightened, shifting through contingencies, as May lunged- and hit the ground instead, pummeling it and sending shards of stone everywhere. Somewhat confused, Gawain obliged his immobile target and hit them with a concentrated ball of noxious poison. The attack sent the lopunny back several steps, but they recovered and took a fighting stance.
“What in the world are you up to?” Samara pondered aloud, and ordered another sludge bomb.
“You’ll see! Play rough!” Sam replied, and May closed the distance in a blink, a blur of flying fists and legs sending Gawain to the ground, but only moments later, the Lopunny collapsed, her blood running hot from battle, and causing the poison to spread swiftly, overwhelming the smaller pokemon.
“Alright. This wasn’t the best, but conditions are set. Beryl, time to execute!”
“Percival! Let’s do this!”
A tinkaton and Tyrantrum hit the ground, facing one another down across the field, and both flinching as the shrapnel from before dug into them. Samara looked across the field eyes narrowing. A choice scarf? No, it must be a focus sash. You’d never put a choice scarf on a tinkaton, and thanks to these rocks, it’s useless. I’ll have to have Mordred clear them with Windstorm. But first- “Percival! Fire Fang!”
“Now’s the time Beryl! Super Ice Smash!”
“The hell?” Samara asked, as the Tinkaton moved with exceptional speed, encasing their hammer in ice, and then hammering the stealth rocks all around. A rain of powerful frozen stones smashed into Percival like a machine gun, staggering the mighty tyrannosaur, before he fell to the ground with a crash. “A psuedomove. Didn’t realize you knew any.”
“You inspired me to come up with this one! Freeze stealth rocks and fire them off at high speed! A perfect counter to dragons!”
“Not bad.” Samara admitted, “but you forgot one thing. What will you do now that you’ve used all your stealth rocks?”
“Still a choice scarf ice hammer.”
“Indeed, though poor choice of a move to combine with Choice Scarf, given it lowers your own speed. A strong tactic, but one that reduces your potential for strategy!” Samara replied, before sending out Mordred, who winced as the hidden rocks dug into the noivern’s wings. “Hear all that Mordred?”
“I did. This tactic is now useless.” Mordred declared.
“Don’t count us out yet! Ice hammer!” Sam ordered.
“Celerity.” Mordred and Samara spoke as one, and the noivern watched his opponent charge, raise their hammer, and then he vanished. At intense speed, the noivern aimed for the tinkaton’s hammer and the arms holding it, striking at the perfect moment to knock the ice-covered hammer out of their hands. The force of the tinkaton’s swing, and the noivern’s attack, sent the hammer spiraling away, out of the arena.
Beryl tried to lash out with her fists, but without the benefit of their hammer, and now hampered by the power of the Choice Scarf as much as they were boosted by it, they were clumsy. Mordred outmaneuvered the flailing attacks, then countered, grabbing the Tinkaton and twisting to send them spiraling, off-balance, through the stealth rocks on his team’s side. He closed in on the off-balance fairy, grabbing them and using them like a broom to sweep away the stealth rocks before tossing them out of the arena with a triumphant shriek.
The other Sam grimaced. “Yeah, that’s Mordred.”
“Yes. I am.” Mordred replied with a smirk.
“Right then. Now’s the time for it. Hauntkins, get him!” Sam replied, sending out his Gengar, who lunged for Mordred, eyes flashing red.
“Didn’t you just see?” Mordred asked, wing tips igniting with psychic energy. “I’m far from helpless in melee.” There was a flash of psionic energies, and Hauntkins went back, sprawling. The gengar rolled to her feet, seemingly surprised. “No real attack?” Mordred questioned. “And leaving yourself wide open. I thought you were an amateur, but no, that was Destiny Bond, wasn’t it?”
Sam nodded. “You were able to sense it, and pulled your punch, didn’t you?”
“Oh no, if not for the limiter we’d both be unconscious right now. It was a good trick. You just didn’t account for my sudden weakness.” Mordred replied, and turned his back to return to his pokeball. Hauntkins hurled a dark pulse at the noivern’s back, only for it to strike the dark-shrouded hide of a rather irritated Hydreigon. Arthur’s dark pulse on the other hand, had exceptional effect.
Sam looked across the field, still shimmering darkly from the aftereffects of Arthur’s attack. “Yeah, that’s pretty good. But we’re not done yet.” He reached for a very old Pokeball. “Lili! It’s all come down to this! Victory Dance!” He ordered as he sent out his hisuian liligant.
“A setup for a comeback? Not a bad plan, but you gave us the sun. Fire blast!” Samara ordered, and the hydreigon sent a titanic blast of fire at the dancing liligant. Sam grinned, and withdrew an orb. There was a flash of light and heat, and when it faded, Lili was still standing, crowned with a gleaming fairy crown. The liliigant crunched down on a sitrus berry and faced down the opposing dragon.
“Terrastilization.” Samara acknowledged. “I should have seen that coming. But fairy isn’t your win condition. Flash Cannon!”
“No, this is. Tera Blast!”
Before Arthur could even gather the energy for her attack, a surging blast of fairy energy smashed into her, sending her sprawling, down in a single hit. Samara’s eyes widened, and she considered carefully. “That speed. Either victory dance gives you a speed boost, or your ability is chlorophyll.” She observed, watching Lili extremely carefully.
“Both, and it also boosts Attack and Defense. Tera blast uses the higher of attack or special attack.” Sam grinned from across the field. “And the sun we put up back then still has two turns remaining thanks to heat rock.”
“Which, while it’s active, means Lili is even faster than Mordred, while you can one-shot all my remaining pokemon. I underestimated you.” Samara admitted. “What seemed like strange tactics at the time, in fact produced an unorthodox but highly effective strategy, exploiting the information asymmetry caused by your access to terastilization and Lili being a Hisuian pokemon, which means not even Mordred has clear information on them.” Samara considered. “And, since you set up Stealth rocks, if I hadn’t cleared them, it would have rendered Lancelot’s focus sash irrelevant. It would have been a victory for you, however, those Stealth Rocks are no longer a factor thanks to Mordred. In addition, the boosted sun means, even with Sitrus berry, you won’t be more than seventy five percent of your relatively low HP pool. Which means, you’re beaten.” Samara declared confidently. “Lancelot, finish this!”
“Just watch, it’s not over, Tera Blast!” Sam ordered, and a wave of fairy energy swept over the emerging Garchomp. But then, the ground shook, and erupted between the two pokemon, springing up as an offensive wall to block the onslaught. Lili moved to the side, only for the wall to explode, covering the area in blinding, stinging sand. She sought to find an angle of attack, but the garchomp was gone, vanished into the sands. Then, he was upon her, emerging from the sand like something out of a nightmare. Lili took a step back, but Lancelot took one forwards, the ground shook, and the Liligant slipped, stumbling, before Lancelot bore her to the ground. A claw came up, and then the entire arena shook, even making the trainers stagger. There was a sound like breaking glass, and Lili fainted.
As the dust faded, a roar split the sky, as Lancelot stood over his defeated foe, breathing heavily, but still hanging on. His focus sash blew like a scarf in the wind, as the two Sams crossed the arena, and shook hands.

I mean sure, that Gardevoir and Espeon might have the same Type as Mewtwo, weakening the potency of her Psychic Moves against them, but that just means they'll get two-shotted instead of one-shotted. Unless Mewtwo knows Shadow Ball, in which case they're fucked.

I beat my Omega Ruby run, with the rematch against Steven and everything. The team was Blaziken, Delcatty, Mawile, Roselia, Claydol, and Relicanth.
Blaziken kicked off this miracle run, pulling Adamant Female on the first shot. I wound up going with a Bulk Up set with Blaze Kick, Sky Uppercut, and Earthquake, right up until the Sidney rematch where a miss on Sky Uppercut cost us the entire match (we were like 10 levels under where we needed to be, Zoroark swept from outspeeding). Then it became Brick Break. It's a pretty fun option, Mega Blaziken with the Speed Boost gets ridiculous, and Blaziken is super strong against 3/5 of the league.
Delcatty is, and I say this very seriously, the MVP. Early on, Skitty kinda just hung out. It couldn't do much, but occasionally it could throw out Wake-Up Slap on a Mightyena and pick up some EXP for itself. But once we got Shadow Ball, Delcatty began to contribute, taking out the majority of Tate and Liza's gym. After we beat Wallace, we went and got Ice Beam and Thunderbolt, and the Calm Mind set just took off. Turns out, this combination handles Phoebe, Glacia, and Drake really well. The only hiccups were Glacia's Walrein can one-shot, and Drake, if he gets Screech off on Flygon before we take it out, can take Delcatty out with Haxorus. Otherwise, Delcatty wound up sweeping most of the rematched League. Whole Phoebe sweep (with Leech Seed support during setup), nearly full Glacia sweep (Walrein on), half of Drake's team, and even the finisher on Steven's team against Claydol, Aggron, Carbink, and Metagross. Delcatty rules now.
Mawile is the old standby, and of course it's a mega. I found the mega stone before we even got the mega ring, so I figured yeah, this is fine. I wanted to shift off of Gardevoir for Claydol, so Mawile could come in now. Standard Play Rough, Iron Head, Crunch, and added Brick Break. Realistically, it can handle the entire Elite Four, but the damage starts to build on it and eventually it gives.
Roselia was chosen because I wanted to do Leech Seed/Toxic Eviolite stall. It was actually pretty fun! Unfortunately, Roselia's defense is terrible even with Eviolite, so it...did not contribute as well as you'd hope. Super Training feels relatively necessary for it to tank as well as you'd want.
Claydol is...fine. I kinda hoped for better? It's a Calm Mind set with Ancientpower, Earth Power, and Extrasensory, but it didn't really contribute much for the run. I guess being weak to the first three of the E4 and bad against Skarmory who knows Toxic does it few favors. It didn't see a ton of play. Its big contributions were...kinda soloing Team Magma. Claydol's a lot better in Ruby, as it turns out. Immunity to their Ground moves, supereffective against the many Camerupt and Golbat. Mightyena is a problem, but you can outspeed and probably one-shot with Earth Power.
Relicanth is the last winner. It shows up. SO late. Even after taking great pains to get one with Rock Head, I wound up just...not using it much, because it lagged so far behind in level. It's like level 30 when you get it, and my team was around 40-44. It's just too far behind, and I was already kinda burning out of things at that point. So sad to say, Relicanth didn't see much play. I wish it had. I used it a little in some dire failed runs of the rematch league, and let me tell you, Head Smash hits like a truck. If it kept up in level, that would've been fun.
