announcing the writeblr garden's long awaited eighth event: spooky prompts! 🦇 gardeners will be given seven prompts to complete during the last week of october. this event is all about some fun questions that you can answer in any way you choose!

this event will last seven days from october 24th to october 30th, each day has a different prompt! you do not need to do every prompt, but it is preferred you do them in order. you can list things, make edits, share excerpts, show some art- whatever works for you! you can also make multiple posts for each prompt if you have multiple wips you'd like to share.

when creating your post, include the writeblr garden's spooky season prompts in your title (or somewhere in your post.) tag your posts with #writeblrgarden and #twgspookyprompts. if your post is pretty long and text heavy, put a bit of it under a read more to not clog people's dashboards. join our discord server to guarantee your posts are seen and meet other writers! we're looking forward to growing with you 🌱

DAY 1 — Antagonist — Tell us about your villain! Write a little blurb or do a short little creature feature! Give us all the spooky insights on your big baddie

DAY 2 — Haunting — Is there anything that haunts your characters? (be it literal haunting/chased by the past or the concept of haunting the narrative)

DAY 3 — Creatures — What animals/beings/entities exist in your wip? Are they more lore or plot related? Do any have a special connection to the human/mortal characters?

DAY 4 — Skeletons in the Closet — Time to dig the ol' bones out from way back in that closet! What secrets do your characters have? What will they do to keep them hidden, and what will they do if they come out?

DAY 5 — Costume/Masquerade — Your characters are attending a masquerade ball! What are they dressed up as/wearing? Are they standing on the sidelines or in the middle of the ballroom/dance room floor?

DAY 6 — Dead Characters — Yes, oftentimes people die in our works - but there are metaphorical deaths, too! Tell us about a character who dies, literally or figuratively; or, tell us about characters/things who were cut!

DAY 7 — Free Day — Do anything spooky related or do anything else your heart desires! 🎃

I have a formal announcement to make!

In approximately a little over 24 hours time, I’m going to be temporarily logging off all my socials. This includes YouTube, Ao3, and yes, Tumblr.

How long does “temporarily” mean, exactly? I’m not sure. Probably either a day or 36 hours.

Why am I logging off all my socials? Because Project: Eden’s Garden - Chapter 1 is officially releasing on the 21st (well technically the 20th but 21st in my timezone), and I’ve decided to play it myself, without spoilers! Which includes the prologue because I haven’t played the game itself yet, and don’t want to until the updated prologue is released along with Chapter 1.

So if I’m being quieter for a while longer than usual, now you know why! Just know that I’ve also elected to tag my spoilers for… well, let’s say until the end of Christmas Day, for the sake of those like me who want to avoid spoilers too! Here are the tags I’m going to be using:

the writeblr garden's squid game word crawl 🦑🎲

announcing our eleventh event: a squid game themed word crawl! participating players will be separated into two teams: ⭕ and ❌ where you'll be competing to see which team wins the most money and who can write the most words!

this event will be hosted entirely on our discord server where we will be collecting words, hosting writing sprints, and giving you a weekly update on the games. in order to be eligible for our special prizes, you must set a minimum word goal of 10k. besides that, each player is welcome to set their own word goal but is highly encouraged to write more to boost their team.

each team's word goal is the total amount of words each player is aiming to write combined, so if someone drops out of the competition their goal will be removed from your total. but remember, you're competing against other teams to get the money, so write as much as you can!

the winning team members will get a permanent role in our server, a permanent tag for all future posts you tag us in, and a team shout-out highlighting their wips! participants who drop out of the competition but were on this team will not be counted. anyone on these teams with less than 10k written will not be counted, either.

‣ this is my first time opening commissions, so i confess that i do not know how the payment methods work as i do not use paypal as one of my daily payment methods. i have set everything to a default, so the payment currency is in USD $, only because SAR is not an option in the currency list. (update: 03/13/2024) i discovered that paypal's fees are quite huge here in my place, so i opted to try buy me a coffee instead. ko-fi is still available only if you can't send it through buy me a coffee. links to both sites are at the bottom of this post. (update: 04/19/2024) i am having issues with my payout on buy me a coffee so i am unlinking it first!

— payment options are flexible.

‣ my payment options are entirely flexible. you may pay upfront at the moment of sending the commission request, you may pay half during the requesting period and the other half once the commission is done, or you can pay the full amount once the commission is done. if you decide to pay the full amount once the commission is done, you will need to send the payment before i post or send the commission.

— once payment is made, you cannot cancel or withdraw from our agreement. alternatively, once i have already started working on your commission halfway through, you cannot back out at the last minute.

‣ since my payment options are flexible, the way you pay me is entirely your choice, and i have naturally given you enough time to ponder whether you are sure about this commission or not. once you have sent a payment, whether it is half or full, you cannot cancel or withdraw from our agreement or ask for a refund.

‣ additionally, even if you opted for a flexible payment, you cannot withdraw or cancel once i have started halfway through your commission or once i am finished. i don't want to experience completing a commission only for the requester to back out at the last minute again. it takes me 2 to 7 days to complete a commission, so please keep that in mind.

— suggestive content is fine, but no nsfw.

‣ i am 20, but i want to keep this blog open to all ages. i can write suggestive themes and whatnot, but i do not know how to write pure nsfw, so i will not include that in my content.

— reposting is okay as long as you link it back to me.

‣ you can repost the commissions since you did pay for it, after all. however, i would appreciate if you tag me in it.

— commissions are posted on tumblr publicly unless requested to be posted on another platform or privately.

— detailed.

‣ detailed commission requests allow me to finish it faster. however, you can still be a bit vague, but it might take a while for me to complete it as i still have to think of a perfect way to do the commission to your liking.

— reader-insert by default, ocs are fine.

‣ this blog has been known to be a twst reader-insert fic provider, so it is highly appreciated to request a reader-insert to allow everyone to indulge themselves in the story. however, you can still request for an oc, especially if you want the commission to be sent privately.

— child characters are naturally strictly not allowed for anything romance-related.

‣ though you may know this by now, i will reiterate again. child characters (ortho, gidel, etc.) are strictly not allowed to be included in romance genres (story or matchup-wise).

— no limits.

‣ though the original rules list states that there is a dormitory and character limit, there is no limit when it comes to commissions. you may request as many characters and as many dormitories as you want, but do keep in mind that the word count and the pricing will be affected.

— matchup bundle rules — 

all the matchup rules listed in the original rules list still apply. those listed below are just additional rules used for commissions.

— specify the nature of the relationship.

‣ although the form already establishes the question of whether you want a platonic, romantic, or both of the matches, this is a reminder to not forget to specify. if you don't, i will automatically do romantic as that is the default of my matchup requests.

— child characters are not an option.

‣ this is already a widely known fact, but child characters (ortho, bailu, qiqi, etc.) are not an option in the results and possible matches.

— state the fandom.

‣ the form has already established the question of which fandom you want to be matched in. you have the option to choose one, two, or all three, but do keep in mind that it affects the pricing.
