can we talk about how actually insane this is? hi welcome to tiktok where a bunch of 13 year olds will shamelessly tell one another to kts and that they deserve their trauma and if you DARE to step back and acknowledge how damaging and illogical this is from the group proclaiming to protect and love the young and weak (who, mind you, they tell to kts and relive trauma for... coping in ways they dislike/dont understand... even if they are those vulnerable minors they love so dearly) they just keep going. people hate to hear this and honestly i hate to say it but as much as i adore the internet, as much as its made me better from the access to information i genuinely think people, regardless of age, are becoming fucking insufferable and the web is part of it. sorry guys. people are using it like a goddamn desensitization tool, nothing carries weight and insinuating it should gets you cackled off platforms. these dehumanizing mindsets you see used against proshippers, kinksters, anybody younger than whoever is being the cunt at the moment, minorities, basically anybody vulnerable or easy to poke at is genuinely damaging these dumbass kids brains. i feel bad for their peers, parents, and everybody else around them- not to mention themselves. i hope they dont stay this way forever, because if this is our future, the left leaning delusion that we're leading a generation of morally upright politically aware youth is... even farther from accurate and needs serious work. these kids are one alt right pipeline away from the next hitler youth. hell, maybe theyre already there.

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes

just to watch that all fall apart in the last year or so and especially the last two weeks

#please dont delete your accounts because of the AI crap. your art deserves more than being lost like that #if you have a good PC please glaze or nightshade it. if you dont or it doesnt work with your style (like mine) please start watermarking #use a plain-ish font. make it your username. if people can't google what your watermark says and find ur account its not a good watermark #it needs to be central in the image - NOT on the canvas edges - and put it in multiple places if you are compelled #please dont stop posting your art because of this shit. we just have to hope regulations will come slamming down on these shitheads#in the next year or two and you want to have accounts to come back to. the world Needs real art #if we all leave that just makes more room for these scam artists to fill in with their soulless recycled garbage #improvise adapt overcome. it sucks but it is what it is for the moment. safeguard yourself as best you can without making #years of art from thousands of artists lost media. the digital world and art is too temporary to hastily click a Delete button out of spite

I'm seeing a lot of "ugh, so we can't even criticize fic authors anymore?" posts popping up on here and the ao3 subreddit and I just want to say, for the record: No one's saying you can't criticize (fanfic) authors publicly. They're saying it's rude and antithetical to positive fandom experience. And, yes there's a difference.

If this website was a conference and I had just spent a whole afternoon listening to a presentation on [unpopular fic trope] and after that was done, I got up on stage and very publicly told the audience that [unpopular fic trope] was illogical and anyone who writes it is woefully misinformed and should be banned from writing [relevant character], that would in fact be a dick move.

"But the canon character would never--" it doesn't matter. You're shouting down the hall at the person who just happily did a whole seminar on their OOC version of that character. "But I don't like that the author chose to make them--" good, you're well-acquainted with your likes and dislikes, time to find another fic.

We all run into fics and interpretations we don't like. But there's a huge difference between loudly talking about it on Tumblr where the author can see it, and just venting in a private discord or other group. Also, gentle reminder that this is a hobby for most writers and something they do purely because they enjoy it. Stop being massive dicks just because you feel entitled to a certain flavor of fanfiction you will probably be chasing until the Reformation of Krypton.

A lot of AUs have already come up with the idea of the Toby Fox-verse crossing over with itself, specifically for Frisk and Kris to meet. Of the crossovers, the one that sticks out the most definitely goes to @akanemnon's Twin Runes series. Above having a very unique art style, it balances out everything a Toby Fox game would; humor, characterization, lore, setting, and right now (as of this post) it's not afraid to explore certain upcoming character arcs.

Craziest thing above all is that Twin Runes is only just a side project! The real project is coming shortly after this series concludes, promising to be even bigger! If this is a taste of that main project, then we're in for a world of feels down the line.

Viago’s voice actor and his partner lost their home and everything but their dog in the LA fires… I know exactly what that kind of pain feels like and it’s not a grief I would wish upon anyone. Above all of the anger and indescribable anguish, I remember the kindness that my community gave my family after my fire and I think we can do something really great if we pull together and help Joseph now
