#gaming issue

A little bit of venting about some unnecessary stuff here, but I just wanna see if someone else also has this problem, and perhaps if there is something to do to make it a bit more bearable?..

I don't know why, but when it comes to certain games I love and want to play, I'm just completely unable to play them, purely out of fear of screwing up the gameplay

Like... my most recent example is the Baldi's Basics Plus (surprisingly). There's no issue witht he game, I absolutely ADORE it. I love the total absurdity of it, the gimmicks, the characters... and Micah has my full respect for creating something as fun and creative as this.

But... That also makes me scared of playing the game, simply out of that respect. I feel bad for failing while learning how to navigate it, and each mistake makes me feel not worthy of even being in the fandom.

And that drives me up the wall, cuz it's so much fun and I really want to master the gameplay ;;

It's not only BB+, as I have the same issue with a lot of other great titles I wanted to try out, like RDR2, DBH, Cult of the Lamb and even fucking Minecraft.

I was able to break the curse with Mafia II somehow (Probably the best game I've ever played), and I'm trying to follow the same path with those other games, but it's hard. Unbelievably hard.

Is this a common thing, or am I going crazy?

Ok in a lot of video games, you'd have someone in your group that can do something cool, like talk to corpses, and then you never use it. Why do they do that.

Veilguard gave us a guy that talks to corpses and legitimately everyone in the group is solving problems by having this guy talk to corpses. He's talking to corpses left and right, I just had three separate cut scenes of corpse guy doing his corpse thing and I love it.

i feel like kevin has aura but not rizz. like from afar, he's the most charismatic man of all time. picture-perfect smile. hot. tall. athletic. charming. confident. but when you get to know him he's like. a pathetic princess loser. he hates waking up early. he isn't impressed with a maserati. he regularly drowns himself in vodka. all he cares about is stickball. what an icon.

I wanted to introduce this freak and another guy for 2 years now, so majority of these drawings are pretty old 😭😭 His name is Nyoka Wadjet, and he’s one of my personal favorite boys I only ever teased on and off. I meant to get his ref drawings fixed up and cleaned, but tbh, that realistically wasn’t happening so I just compiled a bunch of mock ups I attempted as is. The quality isn’t up to snuff for my liking, but the trade off is a short bio that’s actually legible. Wooooo~

He’s twisted from/inspired by Ushari from The Lion Guard. (Ushari is explicitly stated to be an Egyptian Cobra in-series, so I primally looked at the real life animal as most beastmen tend to, but hopefully those who know about Ushari can still see the allusions.) I hope people like him as much as I have over the years, he’s one of my favorites 👉👈🥺

started reading the sonic idw comics (has never played a sonic game), i like them a lot.

still i think the one of the more fun differences drawn between illario and lucanis that was lost would be illario's ability to endear himself to others but serious lack of empathy, vs. lucanis' (self perceived) inability to be charming but how much he cares. it's interesting that the game has gone with the "lucanis' ability vs illario's lack thereof" because i think illario being the dellamorte 'best in show dog' vs. lucanis' attack dog would have made me so unwell.

lucanis is... awkward. he's not unlikable, because he is usually very polite, but he doesn't speak much and only seems to care about the other dellamortes. he once sent viago de riva a knife with no note (who knows what he could have meant by this). he does what caterina asks of him, and by his own admission, cannot say no to her. he is a dramatic and prolific killer, and that makes how untouchable he is even worse.

and the crows like illario, sure, AND he's a good assassin! he's even a good crow! he's so good that he can make lucanis smile, and so he is the charming, sociable one. he's the one that stays in treviso and can be relied upon to care, illario's even the one people prefer over caterina and lucanis!

but illario is decoration. he's the prize poodle, and even if poodles were bred to be working dogs, nobody will ever pick him to protect the house over the german shepherd that regularly mauls intruders. anyways the analogy is getting away from me. the point i'm trying to make is that i want illario to have a different kind of jealousy/hatred that's not just over 'being bad at killing' but also an arrogant loathing for everyone around him that is getting harder to hide, because they've forgotten he can bite and is just itching to rip someone's jugular out. illario is very good at hiding his family resemblance to caterina, while lucanis suffers under his grandmother's, and his own, reputation.
