Dear Diary,
I recently unveiled my latest creation - Gameworld! It's a virtual reality theme park where people can experience all sorts of video game worlds. Why, you ask? Well, why not? I'm not just a mad scientist, I'm also a mad entrepreneur.
I have to admit, it's been a hit so far. People are flocking to Gameworld, eager to experience the adventures that they've only ever dreamt of. It's a little strange seeing people enjoy themselves in something I created, but hey, I guess it beats being hated all the time.
The best part? I made sure to insert a few traps and obstacles in some of the worlds, just to keep things interesting. It's like my own personal amusement park ride. Watching people get frustrated and struggle to get through a stage is just...heavenly.
Of course, I couldn't resist putting a Sonic stage in there. It's just too perfect. Watching people get stuck in some of my maze-like levels instead of breezing through them like Sonic just makes me giddy with delight.
I even have some Egg robots roaming around as part of the "experience." It's like a little bonus feature - dodge the robots as you make your way through the levels. It's really quite fun to watch.
All in all, I'm pretty pleased with Gameworld so far. It's just another step towards my ultimate goal of world domination. Hey, maybe I'll even theme one of the levels after myself. The Eggman Experience, anyone?

Hi! If I were to experiment with VTM, what would be good places to start?
i cannot describe the sound that came out of me upon reading this ask. the answer to this today is the same as 20 years ago, funny enough. vtmb is to vtm as bg3 is to d&d. it has a deep devotion to and love for the lore and Vibes™️ of the ttrpg, and if youre wanting to learn more about the game, or figure out what exactly people love about vtm, or discover whether or not its for you, vtm bloodlines is the best place to start! its my 2nd fav game of all time and if i start singing its praises we'll be here all night lmao
heads up: this game is utterly unplayable without the unofficial patch by wesp5. i cannot stress enough how much you need the patch. one non-bug example is that in the base game they forgot to implement the healing ability they made. this game is an rpg first and a video game second and you can see where the priorities were. also i dont wanna explain too much but clans nosferatu and malkavian change the game so very much and are therefore not recommended for first time playthroughs
lemme know if theres anything i can do to help! im always wanting to see more people loving vtm!!!!
#to clarify. malks are oracles who both spoil the game and speak in ways that can be hard to decipher#which is kinda difficult when YOURE the malk and have no fucking clue what your own dialogue options mean#while nossies are so obviously inhuman that most human npcs wont talk to you..... so theres that.#theyre both very fun for later playthroughs but if you wanna understand what the fuck is going on on your first run...#maybe hold off for now lol#the amount of effort the devs put into the roleplaying aspect is really something special#malks are a total reskin of the game and just about everyone has special dialogue for it and treats you differently#while they had to design the whole gameworld and all the main quests (with bonus nos content) around being able to#go everywhere and beat the game when playing as a character who gets the cops called on their ass if spotted by humans#for a small studio in 2004 its bafflingly thorough and reactive and lively and frankly a fucking miracle it managed to be made

He's buff. He's a scientist. He cares about animals and the environment. He loves his wife, his son, and the three Literal Cryptids that they've adopted. He went blind in one eye protecting his son. His son turns out to be the reincarnation of an evil god and he's like "Okay. He's still my son and I still love him. We just have to get the evil god out of him." He's snarky. He's trying to corral his wife away from doing insane shit, except for the rare occasions where he's the one doing insane shit. He and his wife have an ongoing science vs mysticism debate that affects every mission they go on.

upon revisting rf4 i have to note that the combat is two things: easier to just pick up (grinding is less tedious bc of this) but also more prone to minor frustrations (for example: a combo knocking you to the next screen and resetting it, or getting stuck between rocks) than rf5
i like that it feels so different though its nice to have a reason to play them both still besides just story/character content
#like rf5 combat is more of a commitment so it feels more of an endeavor to just go grinding but also because of the 3d and continuous#gameworld there is much less rhan can go wrong (and its also easier to grasp the combat arena like i get stuck on rocks in rf4 a lot)#rf5#rf4#rune factory#dont feel the need to tag more in depth than that lmao
