3D high school beat ’em up game Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang will launch for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on March 30, publisher Freedom Games and developer Gamecom Team announced. It will cost $19.99 USD and launch with English and Indonesian language support.
Here is an overview of the game, via its store pages:
About
Go to school, make new friends, beat old enemies up, solve world-class problems (like grades and girlfriends), and don’t let your mom down by getting arrested or, possibly worse, flunking out.
Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang is an action adventure beat ’em up game about the most important and / or terrifying part of everyone’s life: high school. As Budi, the new transfer to one of Indonesia’s finest high schools, literally fight your way to the top of the social food chain through the school’s annual student fighting tournament, aptly named “Raise Your Gang.”
Key Features
-Go to School
Inspired by beat-’em-up classics, Troublemaker: Raise Your Gang is all about smooth and over-the-top combat in Indonesia’s greatest adolescent combat arena. Punch, kick, break, smash, or gently swing Budi’s way up to the top with more than 30 iconic moves.
Square up with your best friends and mortal enemies, there can only be one winner!
-Make Friends
Budi won’t be fighting across the school alone. Parakacuk, his gang, will be there to help him out.
Rani the class boss will lend her smarts, Zaenal his might, and Boby… Well, Boby’s just Boby.
Together, they’ll face the crushing mortal challenges of high school (or, you know, die trying).
Spend time with Budi’s girlfriend, increase his popularity at school, do homework with his friends, and learn what an over the top life could be like in a 21st century Indonesian high school.
-Don’t Die
Beating up your peers is all fun and games, but patience is necessary.
Kickflip back into the fray and create personal combos by mixing up Light, Heavy, Advanced, and Sick move styles
Take things slow, let bruises heal, and take a stroll across the school to see the sights while gathering 20 different collectables.

REVIEW | "Troublemaker" | B3 - Boston Bastard Brigade
Tumblr media
If you want to create an open-world game, the Yakuza franchise should be topping your list of whose formula you should follow. Great characters, inventive missions, and a truly interactive surrounding is what made Kiryu Kazuma’s story one of the greatest in video game history. So what happens if you want to do all of that, but lack a SEGA-level budget? Freedom Games and Gamecom Team’s Troublemaker showcases that answer in a surprising manner.
Taking place in Jayakarta, Indonesia, Troublemaker follows recent transfer student Budi. He’s gotten into one too many fights in his previous town, so his family moves him to place him at the prestigious vocational Cipta Wiyata High. However, despite Budi trying his best to avoid fights, the fists come flying at him quickly. That’s where he discovers that the school runs Raise Your Gang, an annual fighting tournament whose winners get big money and the opportunity to be student council the next year.
Tumblr media
At first, Budi wants nothing to do with the tournament, even if he’s built to be a victor. Sadly, his new friend Boby manages to find new ways to be a bully’s target, resulting in our reluctant hero to come to the rescue. Budi’s skills gain the attention of Class Rep Rani and her friend Zaenal, and finds a way to push him towards the tournament. Then there’s Sophia, the girl Budi’s crushing over, who may or may not be dating the main rival Ricco, whom the self-proclaimed One-Man Army declared war on his first day at school.
Much of Troublemaker takes place in the halls of Cipta Wiyata High, as Budi goes from one fight to another. Like the Yakuza series, the battles are hand-to-hand combat with a mixture of quick & heavy attacks and combos. The more Budi fights, the more cash he can earn to unlock fight upgrades, food to raise health, and even some new special attacks (aptly called “Sick Moves”) via the mysterious shopkeeper Richard. And the tougher these fights in Raise Your Gang get, the more you’re gonna need these bits and bobs to gain a victory.

Sonic Jam (Game.com)
Original Platform: Game.com
Original release: 10th July 1998
Available to buy: No
Tumblr media
This is a compilation of Sonic games featuring classic levels from Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. You can choose to play them as either Sonic, Tails or Knuckles. These are advertising points on the box of the Game.com version of Sonic Jam, a game better known for being an extremely well made Sonic compilation for the Sega Saturn.
If you don’t know what the GameCom was, it was a handheld that tried to compete with the Game Boy. It had a similar black and white screen but boasted higher specs – although games didn’t really utilise it. It did have a touch screen and limited internet capability. When porting a game to a handheld system like this, you have to compromise in some way, mainly graphics, to make the game playable.
Except Tiger Electronics didn’t want to do this. The sprites are taken straight from the Mega Drive games (if they didn’t want to make any, they could have asked for the Game Gear ones). This focus on graphics (it should be noted that it’s a black and white console, so all backgrounds were removed) is one of the core issues with the Game.com version of Sonic Jam: Sonic takes up most of the screen.
The levels in this are also not the levels from the classic games, but merely “inspired” by the first stage of each. There are four acts for each, but when you take Emerald Hill and Angel Island, remove the background and make them black and white, they look extremely similar. Despite being made for the GameCom, the levels don’t feel like they were made for the console, as you have falls you can’t see (a lot of the time, the ground is pretty much five pixels from the bottom of the ground), you need to jump over spikes before they appear on the screen and all sorts of other problems due to the tiny amount you can see on both sides. The Game Gear version of Sonic 2 is known for having these issues, but the GameCom Sonic is even worse.
Then there are the physics of Sonic himself. The developers figured this aspect of Sonic was so important that it renders the game unplayable. If you go slow enough so that you have time to stop before a jump, you won’t be able to make the jump. You’ll often have to run backwards in order to do a running jump. Inclines also kill your speed almost instantly, unless you’re running at full speed (which will cause death), you can sometimes make it to the top, but other times you have to move up it bit by bit by jumping constantly for 20+ seconds. It really is agonising to play.
After four acts in each of the three “games”, you’ve played everything. The one good thing I have to say is that there is a good variety in bosses, as you will encounter them in acts 2, 3 and 4. These are based on bosses in the games, but because they have to place Dr Robotnik on the screen, you just have to jump up a few times to kill him.
Sonic Jam on the GameCom is by far the worst Sonic game I’ve encountered so far, and I think it will likely be the worst overall.

In 1997, at Tiger Electronics. Sonic Jam for the Gamecom was being developed. A woman named June worked tirelessly on the Sonic 3D Blast port of the gamecom collection. Unfortunately, this excessive stress and weeks without sleep ultimately caused her death. Her spirit ending up in the soon to be cancelled port. Where she aimlessly wonders, with little to no memory of her former self..

I still don’t have a clue what DA4 is about and I‘m blocking out all spoilers. I even avoid Gamecom this year because I don’t want to get spoiled even though I went the last 2 times.

I had a damn feeling they weren't going to show a sonic 3 movie trailer on gamecom. Paramount you suck at promoting for this movie it's almost September and the movie is supposed to be out in December like wth is going on with the promoting do y'all want to lose money or something because not giving us a trailer for it is NOT going to get people to know it's out and see it. The only thing close to promoting for the movie is leaked toys and pictures. I'm just disappointed and mad at them for it

once again thinking about the tiger gamecom port of symphony of the night. objectively one of the funniest pieces of software to exist. they tried to put symphony of the night on a knockoff gameboy. and they nearly finished it. It’s real.
