Sansa stans are in thin fucking ice! Guys you don’t have to love Dany or even like her but you have to be honest with yourself that D&D ruined Daenerys Targaryen in a span of an episode! Because Dany would not do that. She wouldn’t kill men, women, and children indiscriminately set fire to the Red Keep because of fucking bells. Dany didn’t spend her entire arc from being sold as an unwilling bride to a glorified sex slave to be raped, lose a husband and her child, to be a savior, to be a queen. She was devoted to freeing the slaves of Meereen.  She wouldn’t just go berserk and set all her dreams ablaze because some Northern lords don’t like her. That she isn’t loved or appreciated! It’s weird and very OOC about her.

I can recognize bad writing when I see it and D&D killed Dany. I waited for years for Dany and Sansa to meet each other because their arcs mirror each other to a T. Both were simpering young girls taking advantage of the men in their lives to benefit them, suffered, killed their tormenters, and became the courageous women they are today!

I was team Sansa all the way when Dany stepped foot in Winterfell. It would have been awesome if we had a Sansa vs Dany conflict similar to the Avengers: Civil War! Something deeper and complex. I did not wait 8 years for “I wanna rule westeros” “but you can't rule the north” “if i don’t get what i wan’t i’ll make subtle threats of burning you alive” What? Really? Do you really think  “Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Protector of the Realm, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons” would give a flying fuck what Wildlings and nameless Northern lords think of her?

Why does Dany want the North so bad? She gave Yara the Iron Islands already and made her Queen. Give Sansa the North and make her a Warden.  The encounter with Dany and Sansa was pure cringe because this wasn’t Dany. Sansa is a smart woman and learned from the biggest players but Dany is well seasoned and didn’t conquer just with the might of her dragons but her cunningness, ruthlessness, and wits.

Dany would not make empty compliments, act power hungry and conniving just to take a strip of landmass that she has little to no ties too!

This is not Dany we’ve seen from 1-7 seasons. This is from some bad anti-OOC fanfic Dark!Dany. And Not very good one mind you. I would not mind if Dany went dark it's just what we got was terrible execution. You just don’t flip a switch in an instant. Walter White didn’t just go blowing up a nursing home to poisoning a child in s2. That's what it felt like with Dany by a span of an episode. I would love for Dany to break bad. Let her make questionable decisions like imprisoning Sansa or murdering some northern lords who are not willing to bend the knee. Not burn everyone to a crisp.

There is a difference between being a power-hungry dictator to a genocidal mass murderer. Let her be the final boss but you have to do it the right way. Its a total shame because we grew to love Dany, follow through her journey, her hardships to finally reach her goal and all her goodness, heroism and her legacy will be tarnished and forever ruined. Westeros and the world will forever remember her as a crazy bitch who burned Kings Landing and killed people.

As much as a shit show season 8 episode 5 was, Dany's attack on King's Landing did remind me of something. The sack of King's Landing during Robert's Rebellion by Tywin Lannister and his army. We had murder and raping of innocent people committed by the invading army. We also had a Stark(s) trying to help people whilst looking over in shock. However we didn't hear that phase "burn them all", instead we had someone actually doing it.

Okay so I rewatched parts of Endgame to write a Sambucky fic. I haven’t seen this movie since the theaters and then S8 ep 3 Game of Thrones destroyed my life.

-The fact that The Snap took Hawkeye’s entire family way outsides the odds proves how much the universe just hates Hawkeye.

-I forgot how much I fucking love Nebula. I want more Nebula and Rhodey. Bucky and Nebula would get on, too. Disabled superheroes club unite.

-I did like the beginning of Endgame. Everyone was just so wrecked and they played it so well. Thanos living his best life in his cottage. That was great.

-I still genuinely do not understand why Steve looks at Peggy’s picture when he’s talking about bringing everyone back from the Snap because he ‘doesn’t know what he’ll do otherwise.’ Like does she represent everyone he’s lost, like Sam and Bucky, his closest connections that are actually dead from the Snap? It doesn’t make sense.

-Is that Steve running a support group because he asked himself, “What would Sam do?”

-This was actually the best scene dealing w the fallout of the Snap. The MCU was definitely not ready to address the full scope of what The Blip means and you see that lack of follow through in every movie/series post Endgame.

-Steve Rogers: “You gotta move on.” UNLESS

-“...Thanos should’ve killed all of us.” I think this is the reason Steve goes back in time, honestly. The Snap just broke him. Without Sam and Bucky, with the enormity of this failure, Steve just lost his ability to cope. Steve has always needed someone to save him from himself but they’re gone. Even though they get most people back, they still lost Tony and Nat and 5 years. Steve can’t win. And Steve Rogers cannot cope with losing. So he rewrites a history where he wins. I don’t even think it’s about not being able to get over Peggy (though they did try to shoehorn that in hard), it was about Steve needing to be in control of his life again.

-It’s one of those situations where I can understand the character’s individual choice, but from a storytelling and narrative perspective, it doesn’t make sense with the story they were telling in the Captain America movies and it’s deeply unsatisfying and confusing. It leaves so many questions and potential consequences. I wasn’t even in this fandom at the time and had zero opinions on any ships, and I was like “this makes no sense.” It still doesn’t. But you know what good for Steggy shippers, ya’ll really won. Stucky fandom, as someone who had to watch Game of Thrones S8 wreck my fandom life, I feel you. My deepest sympathies.

Anyway I skipped to the end after the support group scene. Dammit here we go:

Had to watch the final battle. Cause I had to hear Sam say on your left.

I still lowkey ship Tony/Strange

What you don’t see in the finale battle is where Sam and Bucky keep saving each other. That happened.

The backflips they had to go through to explain why Carol Danvers doesn’t end this movie in 5 minutes. Lol

Tony Stark takes no prisoners. RIP coerced alien soldiers. I have a hard time believing they couldn’t have saved Tony between a portal to Wakanda and magic but fine heroic moving death it is.

Sam didn’t have to go that hard and put a hand on Bucky’s shoulder. But he did.

Okay the finale scene with Sam, Steve and Bucky. The whole reason I watched this lol. So it looks like they’re at the wreck of the Avengers compound. It’s unclear how much time passes between final battle, funeral, old man Steve and the stones. I still theorize Sam and Bucky get arrested after this because they’re fugitives and need to be pardoned.

It’s clear Steve told Bucky and fans were right about this for ages, but why not tell Sam??????? Like seriously wtf??? Couldn’t have said HEY Sam any interest in becoming the new Captain America??? 😂

That last look Steve shares with Bucky; right in my fucking heart.

So when Steve leaves he has no shield because it was destroyed by Thanos. When Steve comes back, he brings a shield to Sam. This seems to confirm the separate branch theory. The shield Sam has comes from a different timeline. Which means Steve came from a different timeline, maybe using the same tech. So it’s possible he rescued Bucky from HYDRA and he, Peggy and Bucky lived a great polyamorous life in that verse. Aw.

But that begs the question of how Steve got the shield in a different timeline. Like WHAT. Did he go find it in the Arctic? Did he convince Wakanda to make another one somehow? Like wtf? Again this ending makes no sense.

Poor Sam. He seriously has to deal with one last mindfuck, losing his best friend that he gave up everything for, and Sam being stalwart and true, just rolls with it. At least Bucky knew. Bucky had the chance to go back with Steve (but for a million reasons Bucky could never go back, that’s what this fic is going to be about lol). But Sam is just left to deal with one more loss.

Can we talk about how Bucky 100% supported Sam getting the shield from the start. Bucky was READY for Cap Sam Wilson. Bucky was like nope this shit is written.

You can see that imposter syndrome revving up to 1000% on Sam’s face. And he turns to Bucky for confirmation this is really happening.

I think this also explains why Bucky is so defensive about the shield. It really is the only thing left of his past. It’s his only tie to the Howling Commandos, to Steve, to the person he was before HYDRA took everything. And the only hope he has in staying behind is the certainty that Sam will be Cap, and that’s the hope that makes him stay. The thin vague tie to Sam and the possibility of their future. So for Sam to reject the shield, oof, I bet that felt like a rejection of Bucky himself. Because Bucky stays for Sam.

(None of this explains why Bucky then ghosts Sam. That is the biggest mystery but there are many delicious possibilities. It’s also possible that Bucky didn’t really ghost Sam - we know his flip phone is just something he has for show. He could be talking to Sam on his smart phone. And they had another falling out.)

Dear God the emotion in Sam’s face as he processes that he’s being given the shield. Cue existential crisis!!!!!

Absolute shocker!

I actually owe it all to @hopelikethesun who I've been following for such a long time. When S2 started she was the only person I followed posting about it. I saw a few gifs and thought 'eh, he's not that hot' LOL and then a 2x04 gifset popped up and I went ummm excuse you? Then I felt the 'I want to watch this' urge. Thought it would be casual. It was not. This ship is flames and controls my life.

2. Karen & Frank - Daredevil S2/The Punisher

I deadass can't with Kastle. Seeing this violent angry but loving man fall apart about his soft badass fave lady constantly? Him tearing down an entire building to keep her safe? That's love mf. Absolutely beautifuly acted by Jon & Deb. I'm still gutted about Marvel stopping their shows. They were holding off till S3 to make these two fuck. But they still made it canon that they love eachother so I was thrilled. But I deserved my kiss. The almost kiss in the Elevator before forehead touching will always be iconic.

3. Carol & Daryl - The Walking Dead

When I say I used to think it wasn't possible I could ship anything more than these two? I mean it. The ship of Dreams.

I watched the show up until S8? Then I couldn't take it anymore. I had waited 8 fuckin years for Caryl and was tired of being baited. As much as I still do love them and check in, tptb are cowards and won't make it romantic explicitly. They'll just keep stringing fans along for views cause they know it's so popular.

And rightfully so. It's the most beautiful relationship. I remember watching S5 thinking 'this is my year! Caryl will be canon!' I fuckin baked Caryl cookies and put quotes on them! I was THAT much of a Caryl saddo! But they are on S10 and it's still not gone further than implication. It makes me so mad.

4. Jaime & Brienne - Game of Thrones

I have a lot of GoT ships, but Braime really is That Bitch™

I had loved them from the books, then NCW and Gwen are just far too perfect for these roles. They are ridiculousy adorable and beautiful and everything good about love. They put so much work in to understanding eachother. Jaime becomes a better man for her. They fight to the death for the other. They are just amazing.

The show absolutely destroyed them in the end, but fuck em, the books won't be ending that way. The show did an amazing job until those last few eps. Forever salty. Braime 4eva.

5. Sawyer & Kate - LOST

MY FIRST SHIP EVER! THE BEST SHOW EVER! This show made me the fangirl I am today. 11 year old Tay was born when this show aired.

If you didn't ship Skate, you were wrong. Jate was the most sauceless garbage ever and I'm still fuckin fuming about it.

It's not like Sawyer and Kate were the main ship for 5/6 of seasons? 🙃

They were fuckin beautiful and broken and had the most insane chemistry. That first kiss? Flamesssssss. Cage sex? Flamesssssss.

My first EVER fanfic was Skate! And I read it on my family computer! And it was filthy! And I minimised it thinking it was gone! It wasn't! My Dad found it! He read it to see what his 12yr old was up to! I've literally never been so embarrassed! 🙃

The day the finale aired I was wearing a SKATE FOR LIFE T-Shirt I had printed. I baked a LOST Cake. I baked cookies and wrote quotes on them. I dressed up as Charlie. I still have a Lost shelf in my bedroom.

Five good/positive things that happened to you in 2019:

This is going to sound horribly depressing but 2019 has been a terrible year especially with everything I’ve been through with Coco

So I will say it’s been lovely to have the support of friends (irl and those of you here) and family as we continue to go through her medical issues

Apart from that I guess my Disney trips have been nice

And being able to continue to bring these stories that live in my head to life

Oh and duh I met Sebastian in the beginning of the year so that was cool too I guess lol

Game of Thrones S8 E3

Okay so I've had some time to think about the episode and I think I finally have my thought together.....

1. I honestly thought that a lot more of the characters were going to die. That being said I'm not upset that people are still alive.

2. Lyanna Mormont was probably the most jarring death for me. I wasn't expecting it at all and it broke my heart. I'm so proud of her and all she did. Bella Ramsay was a great actress and I loved every scene she had. Anytime the 12 year old gets to shame the men is a good moment.

3. I really thought The Hound was gonna die just because we know he doesn't do well with fire. He did come around and help save Arya which was fantastic.

4. Discussing Arya. I'm glad they showed us a scene where she was terrified. We've never scene her in large fight scenes and I was excited to see how her demeanor changed when the odds were very much against her. The scene in the library had me on the edge of my seat. When her and The Red Woman and The Hound were together, I love the parallels to season one.

5. I was honestly surprised that everyone's assumptions about the dead coming to life in the crypts actually happened. I honestly thought a lot more people would die when that all went down.

6. Brienne and Jaime and Pod survived and I'm so happy but also shocked. I had them as a group and figured at least one of them would die. I really thought it would be Pod since he sang the song last ep.

7. Brienne and Jaime need to discuss some feelings next week. I used to be conflicted between a BriennexTormund pairing and a BriennexJaime pairing. Most of that came from a lack of direct interaction between B and T prior to S8. That being said, it is now very clear that B doesn't like T and should end up with Jaime somehow.

8. Jon fucking Snow!!! Okay so I've been a fan of my mans for a whiiiiillllleeeee. Always loved him like everyone else. Even when he started kind of siding with Dany, I still liked him. But dear lord I feel like he did nothing this episode. Like I'm not sure how long he sat on the wall on his dragon........but I feel like he should have just done laps burning the undead. Also lol he really thought he would just run up and get the drop on the NK. I love him I just think he wasn't very helpful overall. Maybe they didn't want it to be like the Jon show. We have had a lot of previous Jon versus Army of Dead encounters in previous season so I'm not super disappointed that this wasn't very Jon centered. I just think he could have done more.

9. Daenerys Targaryen: First of all I'm probably gonna get shit from the Dany-stans for this, but honestly I don't think she was very helpful. I guess it's not a crazy thing to think that dragon fire would kill the night king, but I also feel like she should have r ees realized that he wouldn't put himself in that situation if it would kill him that easily. I think people are correct when they say she held her own, but like Jon I don't think was very helpful on the large scale. Also the fact that the dragon couldn't fly away from the undead when she was on it but could easily fly away when she fell off doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I'm very on the fence with Dany right now. I feel like there are a lot of flaws in her character that don't make her fit to leader the entire country. Also Jorah died and he was a lot of her restrain. She would change her mind if he suggested things that she ignored when other advisors mentioned them.

10. My boy Theon. I figured he was gonna die because he was with Bran. I was okay with that because out of all of the major characters, I feel like he had come full circle. He went out just like the Stark/Greyjoy he was and I'm so proud of him.

11. Greyworm: It really looked like he was going to sacrifice himself to light the trench on fire. I was so scared. Missandei talked about going back to Naath and now goddamnit I need them to get there.

12. Gendry: now that I think about it, in glad that Gendry didn't get much screentime. It would have made it seem like he had a higher risk of dying. I'm excited for more Gendrya next week.

13. Arya killing the NK: I liked the fact that Arya did this because of the parallels to other scenes. I also agree with some people that it should have been someone else. But at the same time, I feel like there was no way for it to be Jon or Dany because a. They showed that they both tried and failed and b. It would be too stereotypical. I like that Arya killed him because I feel like everyone sort of cast her to the side as "just a smol assassin girl" and she has proven that she can truly hold her own in a variety of situations.

14. The NK dying this ep. I know a lot of people don't like that the undead army met demise in the 3rd ep, but I think it fits the overarching theme of GOT so well. The show has never been "here is our supernatural world with our supernatural forces that the good guys have to beat". Instead it HAS been a "here is a supernatural world with this supernatural problem but jokes on you the mundane political shit causes much bigger issues". That's what made the show better than other high fantasy world in my opinion. Yes there was magic and weird ahit happening, but that isn't the only point. And honestly most of the plotlines of other characters haven't involved the army of undead until recently. Before Tyrion, Sansa, Jaime, Brienne, Dany, and Arya (just to name a few) knew about that problem, they all had completely different motivations. Long story short, don't get mad that the NK died this ep because he has caused far fewer deaths than several other characters. He's never really been the main villain. You just thought he was.

Game of Thrones S8 Ep.1

***SPOILER ALERT***

1. Arya watching them ride in like in season 1 gave me all the feels.

2. she looked at Gendry and I screamed on the inside.

3. Sansa was acting colder than a white walkers Titty to Daenerys and I just wanted to slap her.

4. so much tension at that meeting. But Lyanna Mormont is a gangsta.

5. Sansa seriously wipe the smug look off your face or I’ll do it for you.

6. Jon and Arya’s reunion was beautiful. They wear their hair the same!!!!!!!!

7. Jon riding that dragon. Im pretty sure he shat in his pants.

8. ARYA AND GENDRY’S FUCKING REUNION!

A) She stared the hound down like he was was small.

B) Gendrys stuttering and falling over his words cause she looks good.
