Tumblr media
Galena Redfox
Galena (Gale) is the eldest child of Gajeel, Juvia, and Levy, and was born on April 2 (♈️). She is the biological child of Gajeel and Levy. Selfless, enthusiastic, and charismatic, Gale is a happy and friendly member of the next generation of Fairy Tail. He’s also extremely intelligent, but makes his sisters and mother’s skin crawl because of his magic. Gale practices their own type of dragonslayer magic, Ink Dragonslayer magic, and often eats the pages of a book once they’ve finished reading it. (Pan, any pronouns)
Tumblr media
Sedna Redfox
Sedna is the middle kid of Gajeel, Juvia, and Levy, and was born on August 24 (♍️). They are the biological daughter of Juvia and Levy. She’s optimistic but practical, she’s the heart of the siblings. They’re very open about her emotions but also timid. She uses Solid Script magic. (Bi, They/She)
Tumblr media
Reva Redfox
Reva is the youngest of three kids of Gajeel, Juvia, and Levy, and was born on March 17(♓️). She is the biological daughter of Gajeel and Juvia. Like her father, Reva loves living up to being a water dragonslayer, and likes to make herself seem more scary than she really is. In reality, she’s calm, charming, and well-mannered. (Cishet, she/her)
I love making these, any other ideas?

Happy Gruvia Day!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Here’s a little piece I wrote in honor of our favorite couple! <3
Beautiful Babies
“Hello, sunshine,” Levy purred, leaning over her tiny newborn daughter. The entire guild had gathered around her in the guildhall to meet their new little member. “Yes! Hello, dear.” The script mage was laughing. Her daughter staring up at her with wide, dark eyes. Juvia was in awe of the tiny little girl. Her fingers curled into little fists, her dark hair already springing up into little curls. She was beautiful. Juvia had always imagined having children with Gray-sama, but now, with Galena here, she could see it even more clearly.
Juvia had been one of the first to meet Galena, only a few days after the baby girl had been born. Gajeel had asked if she would come and meet her. When Levy had lifted the tiny baby into Juvia’s arms… she could picture herself holding her own baby so easily. If only one day…
Now, in the guildhall, everyone was ooh-ing and ah-ing over the new Redfox baby. Gray was leaning over the table, on the other side of Levy from Juvia. He wasn’t saying anything, his face was almost expressionless. Why is Gray-sama always so hard to read? But then he glanced up, and their eyes met, and something in his expression softened. He smiled. And her heart skipped a beat.
When things calmed down, she couldn’t stop thinking about it. Even as the rest of the guild members spread out after getting their chance to be close to Galena and Levy, Juvia couldn’t get that expression out of her head.
“Hey,” his voice startled her where she was sitting across from Levy and Lucy. The two other girls had been laughing and talking. Lucy was holding Galena. Levy must have, at some point, passed the baby into Lucy’s arms, and Juvia hadn’t even noticed. Now, Gray was standing above her, his expression pretty normal. She longed to see that smile again. What did it mean?
“Gray-sama!” She smiled, though she had faltered for a moment.
“I was wondering if you wanted me to walk you home.” Lucy and Levy’s conversation fell silent. Gray had never asked her something like that in front of other guild members.
“R-right! Yes! Juvia… Juvia would love to!” She stood quickly, barely remembered to wave to Levy and Lucy, and followed Gray outside into the snow. It was cold. Gray let Juvia reach out and wrap her arms around his, pulling him close. She knew he wasn’t one for public displays of affection, but now that they were outside the guild he seemed to relax.
“Galena is darling, isn’t she?” Juvia said, trying to lighten the silence with some conversation. Gray smiled.
“Yeah, she is.” Then his expression changed, and he stopped walking. The snow was falling down gently. It was late night. Not many people were in the streets. But even under the light of just the flickering street lamp, Juvia could see he was conflicted. “Juvia?”
          “Yes, darling?” she whispered.
“Have you ever…” he paused, and then he pulled away from her to face her, but he didn’t touch her. He managed to whisper—his voice hoarse, “Have you ever thought about having kids?”
Juvia took in a breath, “G-Gray-sama!”
          “I know, I’m… I’m sorry I—”
“Of course, Juvia has!” She replied, gleefully, reaching out to grasp his hands. “Juvia has imagined many times what they might look like, if they will have your eyes or Juvia’s! If they will sleep well through the night, or if Juvia will have to rock them to sleep and hold them close. She wonders—”
“You have.” Gray murmured, interrupting her, his eyes wide.
“Gray-sama,” she whispered, “Why do you ask?”
“Because…” his cheeks turned a bright shade of scarlet, “In… in… in…” he cleared his throat, “More recently, I’ve thought about it too.”
“More recently?” Juvia beamed, and then she threw her arms around him. “Aw! Gray! You want to have a baby with Juvia! Don’t worry, my darling! We can get started right away—”
“Relax!” He gasped, managing to peel her off of him. “We’re in the middle of the street!”
She felt her cheeks heat up, and she glanced away sheepishly. “Of course.”
“But… I think… Gajeel and Levy have a baby, and you know I’ll always be by your side right?” He asked, glancing up at her hesitantly.
“Of course,” Juvia nodded. He leaned in and stole a kiss, cupping her cheek.
“What I mean to say is… maybe we should leave it up to fate. And if we have a baby, you and I, I think that might be nice.” She could hardly believe her ears. She let out a laugh and threw her arms around him again, pressing kiss after kiss to his lips, and jaw, and cheek. He let out a laugh, a real laugh, and held her close. “Hey, hey, come on. Let’s get home. I don’t want you freezing to death.” Gray entwined his fingers with Juvia’s leading them down the street, all while Juvia’s thoughts were going a mile a minute.
“We will make very beautiful babies, Gray!” she giggled. Gray looked back with a roll of his eyes. Then he chuckled.
“Guess I can’t really disagree with facts.”

Note
do you have headcanons for trans gray or trans jellal or trans gajeel? 😊
I'm so glad you asked!! Trans Gray is a beautiful thing, as is Trans Jellal, but I have a soft spot for Gajeel as a trans boy xD assuming that's what you meant? Them as trans boys, right??
Okay!! So Gray -
Born Grace Fullbuster
Always knew she wasn't a she
Preferred to wear boy clothes
Silver was ecstatic because Grace acted like the son he'd always wanted
Ur helped Grace with gender, telling him that it was okay to be a boy, and helped him change to Gray
It was close enough to his deadname so he remembered his parents, but also clearly a boy's name
When Gray started growing breasts at thirteen, he freaked out
He didn't come to the guild for weeks
Freed, being non binary, went over to his house and talked to him about it
Gray decided to get top surgery on Freed's advice because the breasts made him want to throw up
He also got genital reassignment surgery
He's very proud of his scars and flaunts them to this date
Natsu is a very supportive boyfriend and always remembers to pack Gray's testosterone gel on a mission
Fairy Tail was overall very accepting; the were a few traditionalists, but they came around
Gray and Gajeel become trans bffs and help each other with testosterone gels and the like
And now Jellal!!
Born Jackie Fernandes
Never felt too comfortable in her body, though she didn't outright hate it
She was an early bloomer (9) and broke down when she got her period
Her parents were homophobic and forced her into being female, but at this point she hated her body
She willingly went as a slave to the tower of heaven so she could be a boy
There he changed his name to Jellal and bound his breasts
He also managed his period by using the pads that Erza would sneak him from her daily theft runs
When he lost his memory and was thrown in jail, Lahar was kind enough to offer him testosterone injections
Jellal, though hating being chained up, appreciated the gesture
When he got free, Gray and he had a long chat about being trans
The Crime Sorciere also helped a lot, Macbeth revealing that he was non binary helped Jellal come out to his team
Porylusica performed his top surgery as thanks to Mystogan
And now my baby, Gajeel! I actually have written a Cobra x Gajeel one shot with pan Erik and trans Gajeel shameless self-promotion xD. The link to it is here
It's mostly Cobra POV, but Gajeel being trans is a big part of Erik's crush haha
Onto the headcanons!!
Born Galena Redfox
Hated wearing dresses and looking pretty - always wanted to play with the boys
Preferred being thought of as a boy
Metalicana taking her in after her parents' death let her start over and become a 'him'
He changed his name to Gajeel
He was a late bloomer and thought his period was a terminal illness
Juvia helped him a lot with his transition and took him to a surgeon who botched his surgery when he was fifteen
It was a very traumatizing experience and for two years he didn't let Juvia even broach the subject of surgery
Gajeel finally got over his fear when he joined Fairy Tail and met Gray, who convinced him it would be okay
The two started dating a brief while later, Jellal and Natsu joining in on the relationship soon after
And now for some ot4 hcs!!
Natsu once obliviously joked about being the only 'normal guy'
Jellal and Gajeel were really hurt and the four nearly broke up
Gray ripped Natsu a new one and it got better after that
They always comfort Gajeel, the most insecure, by cuddling him to near-death
Gajeel loves it though

Gajevy Week Day Six: Reconciliation
I’m gonna tell you something. I didn’t like the idea of this prompt at first, because anggsttt. Y’all know it hurts me too much. Then I had an idea… featuring the headcanon children--Galena, Flint, and Jade. :P
It was a sunny day, so Levy had spent most of the day with her three children, outside. Galena had run, by herself, to the guild to play with her friends. But Flint was content enough to stay in their little front yard, building little fortresses out of stones and pebbles and knocking them over with his little wooden slingshot. Jade, the youngest at only a year and a half, had been fussy so Levy was bouncing her on her hip while she watered the flowers. Around late afternoon, just when Levy was thinking about getting ready to make dinner, Galena returned home in a huff—followed by her father.
Only moments later, Levy was drawn away from her flower box by the sound of yelling from within the house. Flint glanced up from where he was building another little wall of stones, his blue eyes wide.
           “Is that Allie?”
“It’s alright, you stay here and watch your little sister,” Levy sighed, placing Jade in the grass next to her brother. She ruffled Flint’s dark, thick hair and carefully stepped into their home. Galena was standing by the stairs, her arms crossed, her feet planted.
“I’m going!” She shrieked, “I’m part of Fairy Tail too!”
“Over my dead body,” Gajeel said. His stance was so similar to his daughter’s that if she wasn’t so small Levy imagined they would be mirror images of one another. Galena screamed, stamping her foot, tears streaming down her cheeks. Levy could see she was going into a full-on breakdown.
“What in the world is going on?!” She demanded, swearing that she wasn’t about to take sides completely. Though, she had no doubt her husband knew what he was talking about.
Stuttering over her words, Galena explained, “U-Uncle Natsu is l-letting Igneel and L-Layla go on a small job. I w-w-want to go too. I’m old enough. I just turned eight.” Levy glanced over at Gajeel knowingly. There was no way in hell Lucy would let her twins go out on their own.
“Well, Galena, you have grown a lot, but going on a job could end up being very dangerous. Your dad and I are just trying to keep you safe.”
“You’re not g-going to let m-me go either,” Her lower lip trembled, and then she spun around and dashed upstairs, screaming behind her: “I hate you!” The words felt like a knife, right to Levy’s heart, and when she saw her husband’s face… she knew he took the brunt of the hit. His expression was almost foreign… heartbroken.
“Gajeel…” Levy murmured, reaching out to touch his shoulder. He moved slowly, pulling her into his arms, and dropping his head against his shoulder. His grip was tight, his whole body was tense.
“How often am I going to have to hear that?” He murmured.
“Look at me,” Levy whispered, trying to fight back her own tears. “We’re not going to give up. We knew it was going to be hard the moment we found out I was pregnant. We have each other.” The tension melted, and Gajeel smiled.
           “I love you.”
“I love you too, dragon,” Levy said, “Let’s leave Galena for a little bit. She’s stubborn like her father.” Gajeel snorted,
“I’d say more like her mother.”
“Heyyy!” Levy glared and the giggled. “Alright, she’s like both of us. Let’s say… you find a simple job, yeah? Maybe you can take her, just the two of you. She’d be so excited! She really looks up to you, you know?”
“Are you sure?” Gajeel frowned. “You won’t be worried?”
“Of course, I’ll worry. But I know a man who would give his life to make sure his daughter is safe. And that man is the bravest, strongest dummy I’ve ever met.”
“Mama?” Flint poked his head in from the front door, “Jade is crying.”
“Duty calls,” Levy said pulling out of Gajeel’s embrace.
“Not so fast, short-stuff,” Gajeel snatched her hand up and spun her back into his arms to steal a kiss.
“I’m not short,” Levy laughed against his lips.
***
That evening, after they had finished making dinner, the young parents ventured into their eldest daughter’s room. Galena was laying face-down on her little bed, her wild, short hair sticking out at odd angles. When she looked up to see them enter, her cheeks were streaked with tears. She dropped her head against her pillow again, with a glare.
           “Go awaayyy.”
Levy leaned against the doorframe, watching Gajeel sit on the edge of their daughter’s bed. “Hey, princess,” he said, “I wanted t’ apologize.”
“Why?” Galena sat up, still glaring, “You’re not gonna let me go anyways.”
“Hey, if I let you go on any job by yourself your mom would kick my ass—”
           “Gajeel!” Levy groaned.
“My butt. Besides,” Gajeel reached out to wrap an arm around his daughter’s shoulders. “I’d worry the whole time you were gone.”
“I’d be fine, watch.” Galena pressed her fist to the palm of her hand, “Metal make…” From her fingertips grew a knife, out of nothing. Levy could see it was sharp. It glinted in the fading light from the setting sun. She beamed, pleased with herself, holding the little knife in her hand. “And you taught me to fight, daddy. I can take care of myself.”
“I know, Allie,” Gajeel sighed, “Listen, I have a compromise. How does this sound? What if you pick out a little job and we go on it together. That way we can practice your magic and fighting, and I don’t have to worry.”
The way Galena’s eyes lit up made Levy’s heart melt. Her daughter’s grin—just like Gajeel’s… “Really?!”
“Yeah, we can go pick out a job tomorrow.”
“You’re the best, daddy!” Little arms wrapped around Gajeel’s neck, as Allie laughed.
“Alright, alright, careful!” Gajeel grinned, “Will you come downstairs for dinner now, Als?”
“Okay!” Downstairs, Levy could hear Jade fussing—Flint was trying to calm her down: “Jadey, Jadey. Do you want some mashed potatoes? Mmm! Mmm!!!”
She would still worry, but as long as she knew Gajeel was with their little warrior—she’d be okay.

Gajevy Week Day 3: Children
If you’ve read my stuff, you know I did a 30-Day FT challenge which split 30 days between my six favorite FT otps—Gajevy included. If you read those you met Galena, Gajeel and Levy’s first daughter according to my little AU (and you also met Bear--haha!) Anyways. Galena. And since children is plural…
“Rise and shine,” Levy whispered, leaning over Galena’s bed. Her daughter, only five-years-old, rolled over with a moan.
           “Nooo…”
“Galena!” Levy smiled, “Wake up. We’re having pancakes for breakfast.”
“Mmm…” Levy deftly flipped the girl’s blankets over and began tickling her feet. Galena tried to hide it, but only moments later she was kicking and squealing, trying to avoid her mother’s hands.
“Remember? Today we’re going to the guild with daddy.” It had been a week since Levy had last stepped foot in the guildhall, which seemed so weird to think about. That place had once been her entire life. Now, with Galena keeping her occupied there was hardly time to think of anything else besides the five-year-old.
Gajeel was in the kitchen when they emerged from Galena’s bedroom, after finally wrestling her into some clothes and somehow taming her thick, dark hair. Lily was sitting on the counter, munching on a kiwi.
“Hey,” Gajeel smiled, setting aside his own plate to offer his daughter and wife good morning hugs.
“Daddy!” Galena laughed, running into his open arms. Levy followed, pulling him down to steal a kiss.
“Too tall,” she murmured, against his lips. Gajeel laughed, shaking his head.
           “You’re too short.”
“Am not,” Levy protested, but before she could say anything else, Gajeel pressed another kiss to her lips.
           “Love you.”
“Hey!” Galena said, as she scrambled into her seat to eat her breakfast, “Can we take Bear to the guild?” Levy glanced over to where the little black pug was sitting at Galena’s feet, already begging for a morsel of her breakfast.
           “Alright, I’ll find his leash.”
***
The guildhall was crowded with familiar faces, and Levy immediately relaxed in the familiar environment as they arrived. She looked for her regular table, and saw Lucy waving—already sitting there. Galena galloped off in one direction, dragging little Bear on his blue leash towards her friends: Natsu and Lucy’s twins, Layla and Igneel; Gray and Juvia’s daughter, Neve; Erza and Jellal’s son, Keon; and Mira and Laxus’ son, Kostya. Gajeel went off in another direction, towards the bar, along with Lily. Levy found herself alone, and happily went to go sit with her own friends. Lucy was waiting for her when she arrived at their table.
“Levy! It’s so good to see you, finally!”
“Sorry,” Levy sighed, “It’s been a really busy week with Allie. We’ve been getting her ready for her first year of school.”
“Oh, right!” Lucy beamed. “So, now that she’ll be in school you and Gajeel will have the house all to yourselves during the day.” She raised an eyebrow at this, glancing over at the iron dragonslayer knowingly.
“Hey!” Levy said, a blush rising to her cheeks. “It’s more like we’ll finally be able to take on jobs together.” But then she paused, glancing over at her husband with a dreamy sigh. “Though, we have been talking…”
“Talking?” Lucy frowned, leaning closer across the table, “About what?”
“Having another baby,” Levy smiled. As much as she did enjoy going on jobs with Gajeel, she had loved having Galena—most of the time. She loved holding her, and pressing kisses to her head where tufts of new, baby-soft hair stuck up at odd angles. But she had especially loved watching Gajeel. The man was stoic, as always, but he was almost a completely different person in their house. He fawned over their daughter, rocking her to sleep every night, singing to her, talking to her, kissing her. Levy loved watching that part of him surface. It still did around Galena, of course, and around Levy when they were alone. But… it was different with a baby. She had laughed the first time he had awkwardly held Allie in his big arms. She had been so, so tiny—like her mother, tucked away against his broad chest. He had been so scared that he might break her.
“Really?” Lucy looked suddenly very invested, her hands clasped together, “Oh, Levy! Galena as a big sister! Can you imagine? She would be so cute! What do you want? Another girl?”
“Gajeel wants a boy,” Levy smiled, still watching him. He would never say it, of course, well… not directly. But once he had said, “We could make things even if we had a boy.” She had protested that things wouldn’t be even, because then with Lily the boys would outnumber Galena and Levy, but she knew that Gajeel wanted a son.
“A boy and a girl. Aw!” Lucy sighed, “Like Layla and Igneel.”
“Yeah…” Levy sighed. Gajeel glanced her way and their eyes met across the room. He offered her a wide grin and she smiled back.
Five of us. Yeah, that would be nice.

OTP Challenge Day 24: Shopping for Fun
OTP: Nalu
Rating: G
“Where are we going anyways?” Natsu groaned. He had been following Lucy around all morning. She had just met up with Levy, Erza, Juvia, Wendy, and Carla in the square in front of the Cathedral. Juvia and Levy had left their daughters with their husbands for the day. Lucy wasn’t sure how they managed to convince Gray and Gajeel to take care of Neve and Galena but she was glad they had. It was definitely way past time for a girl’s day. Besides, with Erza five months along, and… well… it wouldn’t be long before girl’s days became rarer and much harder to obtain.
“The girls and I are going window shopping,” Lucy huffed, “You weren’t invited, but—”
“Why is Natsu here?” Wendy asked, “Weren’t you going to look for a job today?”
“Lucy asked me to stay home,” Natsu sighed, “She said she had news or something she wanted to tell me so…” Erza, Juvia, and Levy all shared a knowing look, Wendy didn’t seem to notice.
“Natsu is here because I mentioned going out to lunch,” Lucy said, crossing her arms, “And for some reason food drives him more than his own wife.”
“That’s not true!” Natsu huffed, and then he leaned over with a moan, “Ayyyyeee, I’m so hungry.”
“Why don’t you go find Gajeel and Galena and go get something to eat,” Lucy suggested. Natsu almost perked up.
“Ah, yeah! Is Gajeel at home?” He asked Levy.
“He actually to Galena to the guild,” Levy said, “I bet Gray and Neve are there too.”
           “Yes,” Juvia nodded knowingly.
“Alright!” Natsu pumped his fist, and then spun around to face Happy, “Lets go get some food.”
“Aye, sir!” Happy grinned. The two boys dashed off in the direction of the guild and the girls were at last left alone.
“Lucy!” Erza practically pounced on her friend. “What did Natsu mean ‘news’?”
“Yeah! Lu-chan, spill!” Levy said, crossing her arms.
“Woah! It’s just… uh… it’s nothing crazy,” Lucy laughed a little, but all eyes were still on her. “Okay, okay, but you have to keep this on the down low until I tell him!”
“Spill!” Levy said again, determination flashing in her eyes.
“Alright, alright! I just found out I’m pregnant!” She whispered.
“Ah!” Wendy’s eyes lit up. “That means you’re all going to be mothers together!”
“I knew it!” Erza rested a hand on Lucy’s shoulder, “If you ever need advice—”
“You’re just becoming a mother too, you know!” Lucy snapped.
“I can’t believe it!” Levy said, clasping Lucy’s hand. “Galena and your little one are sure to be friends!”
“And Neve too!” Juvia sighed, “Ohhhh this is so exciting!”
“You all have to be quiet about it though,” Lucy said, “Until I tell Natsu about it tonight.” She felt sick to her stomach thinking about it. What will he say? Her heart was pounding at the thought. How will he react? She remembered, not so long ago, when Cana had spread cards out for her and had predicted a baby in her future. She had been convinced that it meant she was pregnant. What Natsu had said then… She remembered so clearly the serious expression in his eyes.
“Well, let’s go shopping!” Levy said, pulling Lucy along by her hand. The girls went to store after store, finding only a few little treasures. They were in the last store of the evening when Wendy showed up at Lucy’s side with little baby footie pajamas, she held it up with her little hands and a bright smile.
“It has a blue kitty on it!” She beamed. Sure enough, the little pajamas were patterned with the silhouettes of little blue cats. Lucy felt her heart warm, and she gently took the tiny foot of the pajamas. These were obviously for a newborn, they were so little. She rubbed the soft fabric between her thumb and fingers and then burst into tears. “L-lucy!” Wendy gasped, “I’m s-sorry, I…”
“N-no, I love them,” Lucy whispered, “They’re perfect! It’s j-just…” She wasn’t sure what was wrong. The only answer that she could come up for herself was that her husband was back at the guild. Her husband didn’t know. “Let’s get it, and then I have to go. I…” she felt tears rise in her eyes again, and she shook them away, “I have to tell Natsu.”
Once the little pajamas were paid for, Lucy quickly said goodbye to her friends, promising to meet them back at the guild, and then, clutching her little one’s first gift, she dashed through the streets of Magnolia towards the guild. The sun was just beginning to set, casting strange shadows across the cobblestone, but she was not swayed to stop by anyone or anything.
When she burst into the guildhall she found Natsu sitting with Elfman and Gray. Evergreen was standing above them, holding little Neve, who was fast asleep against her shoulder. Natsu noticed Lucy almost right away, and he grinned, waving her over. “Lucy!” As she drew closer and he saw her expression, saw dried tears, he frowned. “W-what’s wrong?”
“Nothing!” Lucy beamed, “I’m…” She stopped, standing at his side, “I’m very happy and I want to share it with you.”
“Oh? Did you find something cool when you went shopping?” Without offering him a response, Lucy spread the little newborn pajamas out on the table in front of him. Natsu frowned.
“Um… is this for Erza and Jellal?”
“No, dummy,” Lucy whispered, “It’s for us.”
“For…?” They had gathered an audience already, when Natsu looked up at Lucy with growing understanding, “For… us. For… you mean?!”
“You’re going to be a dad, Natsu,” Lucy whispered. From where he was sitting Natsu threw his arms around her hips, pulling her into his embrace. She felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes again as she ran her fingers through his hair. Their little audience offered cheers, and shouts of congratulations, but they all faded away. In her eyes, the only people there were Natsu, and the little one that they held between them, the little one they hoped to meet soon.
“I’m going to be a father,” Natsu whispered against her belly. Lucy gently pulled away to look him in the eyes. There was wonderment there, awe… and love. Lucy smiled down at him, leaning over to press a kiss to his forehead.
“You’re going to be an amazing father, Natsu,” she whispered, “Just like Igneel.” A single tear rolled down Natsu’s cheek and Lucy sat down next to him, pulling him into her arms. “Just like Igneel,” she whispered again, and, as Natsu clutched her tightly, she felt him smile behind his tears.

Naluween Bonus Day: Wizard
Sort of... following the prompt?
“Where are they meeting us again?” Lucy asked, leaning over the counter where she was sketching out their plans for the evening. Natsu was just on the other side, in their living room.
“Didn’t I tell you?” He asked, before letting out a wail. “Ahhh! Igneel, you got me!” The fluff of his bright pink hair disappeared behind the sofa as he collapsed, vanishing from Lucy’s line of sight. She let out a sigh. The Cathedral. That’s right. She quickly folded her slip of paper and made her way around the corner into the living room where Natsu was laying on the floor, laughing.
“He’s too little to understand what you’re doing,” Lucy said, leaning over to lift their ten-month-old son from where he sat on the carpet.
“I know,” Natsu smiled up at her, still laying on the floor, “But when I was little Igneel used to do that. I used to push him, and he’d fall over, just like that.” Natsu sat up as Lucy sat down on the couch, holding her son close, running her fingers through his fluff of pale orange hair. Igneel’s twin sister, Layla, was playing with blocks on the other side of the room. “Do you think I’m a good dad, Lu?” Natsu asked, watching their daughter.
“What? Why that question all of the sudden?” Lucy frowned.
“I just… I remember Igneel and I think… I could never be as good of a dad as he was for me.”
“That’s nonsense,” Lucy huffed, “You’re an amazing dad.” She slid down to her knees on the floor in front of him, holding out Igneel. “And your son and daughter love you very much.” When the little boy caught sight of his father’s face a bright smile touched his lips.
“Dadada!” He reached out with little, chubby hands and Natsu grinned, pulling his son into his arms.
“Now! I think it’s time we get the kids ready for the festival,” Lucy said, standing, “After all, we don’t want everyone else waiting for us.”
“They won’t be,” Natsu grinned. “We’re the ones with twins, but Juvia and Gray are always late. Gajeel will insist he doesn’t want to go trick-or-treating, but Levy will make him. They’ll be late too.”
           “And… Erza?”
           “Oh, they’ll be early.”
“They always are,” Lucy smiled, pulling Layla into her arms. Natsu was already working his way down the hall towards their bedroom where the costumes for the kids were stored.
“Is it going to be weird this year?” Lucy asked, as they began wrestling Igneel into his dragon costume.
           “What?”
“Having kids this year,” Lucy said. And for every year after.
“Why would it be weird?” Natsu asked.
“Well, I mean…” Lucy frowned, “Different. It’ll be different. Last year I was pregnant, and before that we didn’t have any kids. We just got to celebrate with our friends.”
“I guess it is different,” Natsu frowned, “But… it’s gonna be a good kind of different. I’m really glad I get to share this holiday and all the others with the three of you.” He offered her his signature grin and then went back to wrestling his son into his costume. “Woah! You look super cool, buddy! Like a regular dragon!” Lucy smiled. This man is mine, and I love him more than anything. That singular fact made her feel warm, happy. Layla was beginning to fuss in her arms, babbling nonsense words. Lucy carefully fixed the little bow in her wild pale pink hair, and set her down to get her changed.
They met their friends in front of the Cathedral. Erza and Jellal were already there, with little Keon, who was three months older than Igneel and Layla.
“A fairy and a dragon!” Jellal said, offering the Dragneel twins a quick greeting. “That’s rather fitting, huh?”
“Natsu insisted on the dragon,” Lucy laughed. “What’s Keon dressed as?”
“A little warrior!!!” Erza held up her son with immense pride. Keon was decked in ridiculously well-crafted cardboard armor.
“Hi!” Levy and Gajeel arrived, with Galena perched on top of Gajeel’s shoulders. She was giggling, holding on tightly to her daddy’s hair.
           “Aww! Galena’s a cat.”
“She makes a very good one too!”
“Hey, everyone,” Gray jogged up, out of breath, followed by his wife, who was carrying their daughter. “Juvia couldn’t decide on which costume to put on Neve.”
“They were both so cute!” Juvia gasped, “But Juvia finally decided on a butterfly. Ahhhh! She’s so cute!” She squeezed her daughter tightly. Gray sighed.
“Juvia, you’re going to suffocate her or something. Can we get this over with?”
“Come on, Gray!” Lucy laughed, “Tonight’s going to be fun! Just like it’s always been.”
“Maybe this year Natsu won’t burn down a tree,” Erza grinned.
           “He better not,” Lucy huffed.
“Come on, everyone!” Levy waved them on, “The festival’s this way!” As they moved together through the streets of Magnolia, Lucy caught her husband’s hand in hers and laced their fingers together. Natsu looked over to her with a grin. Igneel was perched on his shoulders, patting the top of his head with shrieks of joy.
“Hey,” Natsu said, stopping in the middle of the street, “Our kids are gonna grow up to be pretty amazing wizards, huh?” Lucy leaned forward, still holding tightly his hand and to Layla, who was at her hip, and kissed the dragon-slayer quickly.
“I love you,” she whispered. Natsu leaned in to steal another kiss, squeezing her hand.
           “I love you too.”

OTP Challenge Day 27: Pets
I jumped ahead a few years on this timeline to make things work!
OTP: Gajevy
Rating: E
Gajeel groaned, shutting the door behind him, and dropping his bag before leaning over to yank off his boots. Pantherlily was already moving through the living room towards the kitchen and dining room. Gajeel knew the exceed would be looking for kiwis. He wondered if Levy had stocked up while they were out. The thumping of little feet on hardwood, and Gajeel couldn’t help but grin as his daughter rounded the corner.
“Daddy!” Galena was in her pajamas, her thick hair had somehow been tamed into pigtail braids. When she caught sight of him she stumbled towards him and threw herself into his arms, pressing her chubby cheek against his and wrapping her little arms around his neck.
“Hey, short-stuff,” Gajeel grinned, as his daughter scrambled out of his lap and then put her hands on her hips in such a way that she perfectly imitated her mother.
           “Mommy says I’m not short.”
“Hmm. You do look like you’ve grown some,” Gajeel grinned, still kneeling in front of her. “How tall are you now, Allie?”
“A lot!” She said matter-of-factly, before grabbing his hand, or rather a finger, since that was all she could wrap her little hand around. “C’mon, Daddy! I gotta show you!” Gajeel laughed, pulling himself to his feet, and following his daughter past the kitchen and to the hallway. As they turned the corner into the hall, Gajeel managed to catch a glimpse of Lily rummaging through the fruit bowl on the counter.
“Hey, Allie?” Gajeel frowned, “Where’s your mom?”
“Over here!” Galena insisted, “She told me to come get you!” The four-year-old practically dragged Gajeel into the bedroom he shared with his wife. There Levy was sitting on the floor, and when she looked up she smiled.
           “Gajeel! I’m glad you’re back!”
           “What’s going on?” Gajeel frowned.
“Look, Daddy!!!” Galena squealed, rushing around to the other side of her mother. She pulled something up into her arms, and whatever it was struggled and squirmed, giving her trouble.
“Hey, Allie,” Levy rescued their daughter, holding out a hand to steady the squirming black animal in her arms. Gajeel blinked.
           “Is that… a dog?”
“It’s a puppy!!!” Galena shrieked, hugging the tiny dog in her arms.
“That’s… the smallest dog I’ve ever seen,” Gajeel glanced over at his wife who laughed.
“I’m sorry, I should have waited for you to come home, but I saw this little guy and…” Levy laughed again, “Isn’t he cute?!”
“Yeah, daddy, isn’t he cute?!” Galena held up the tiny puppy higher so Gajeel could see him and then almost tripped.
“Hey,” Gajeel smiled, catching her just in time. He sat down next to Levy and helped Galena sit. The little puppy was still squirming in her hands. “He’s a pug, huh?”
“Yeah, he’ll get a little bit bigger,” Levy said, “We picked him up yesterday. You should have seen Galena’s face when I brought him home!”
“Has he got a name?” Gajeel asked Galena.
           “Yeah!” Galena grinned, “Bear.”
“Bear?” Gajeel looked down at the puppy skeptically.
“Yeah! ‘cause when he grows up he’s gonna be big!” Galena raised her hands to exhibit how large she thought he’d get. “As big as a grizzly bear!”
“I bet,” Gajeel laughed. The tiny pug was prancing around the room, exploring all the corners, and looking for somewhere to sleep.
When Galena had finally calmed down enough to be put to bed, Levy led Gajeel back to their room with a sigh. “Bear was… um… kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing. I know we had been talking about getting a puppy before you left, and nothing came of it, but when I saw him I knew Allie would love him.”
“It’s alright,” Gajeel leaned over to pick up the tiny pug. “He is kinda cute. And Galena seems really happy.”
“Doesn’t she?” Levy said, gently resting her hand on her husband’s shoulder. Gajeel glanced down at her with a sigh.
“You did good, angel,” he said, leaning over to give her a quick kiss.
           Levy smirked, “I know.”
