Gruvia: It’s Going to Be Okay
This was requested by @siriuslight1 I really hope you enjoy!!! It was fun to write! <3
Gruvia: #51 Sensory Prompt--that jittery, sick feeling when you can’t do anything
“It’s going to be okay,” Gajeel was saying. It was the fifth or sixth time he had said it in the last hour. How do you know?! Gray wanted to scream. How do you know?! But he could barely breathe, let alone speak. His hands were shaking so bad. He was panicking, and trying to keep it all in—trying to keep it all together. He held the panic within him, letting it consume him piece by piece.
Juvia’s in there and I can’t do anything… He dug his nails into the palm of his hand, his stomach turned. He felt nauseous. I can’t do anything.
“It’s going to be okay,” Gajeel said again.
“Shut up!” Gray snapped, “Shut up, shut up, shut up! You don’t know that!” He jumped to his feet, biting his lip, hands balled into fists.
“Gray,” Levy whispered, standing to grab him before he could pace a path into the linoleum floor. “I think Gajeel is just trying to be hopeful—positive.”
“It’s not working!” Gray hissed, offering her a glare. “How do we know what’s going on in there?! The doctors didn’t even say anything. They didn’t explain anything—” He bit his lip again to hide his tears. “Just that… she was losing too much blood and—”
Before he could finish Levy pulled him into a tight hug, almost bone-crushing. Gray tensed at first but then relaxed against her embrace, tears welling up in his eyes. “She was losing too much blood… wh-what if I lose her?”
He received no response, Levy just held him tighter, Gajeel glanced down at his hands, eyes growing misty. What if I lose you, Juvia? What would he do without her? She was his life, his everything. His arms tightened around his friend. I couldn’t survive without you, Juvia.
The doors to the surgery suddenly swung open, and a nurse stepped out, he let out a happy sigh. “Mr. Fullbuster…” Gray pulled away from Levy to glance up at the young man. He was beaming from ear to ear, and in his arms was a little bundle. “It’s time you meet your daughter.”
“M-my daughter?” Gray breathed, his knees weak. Thank goodness Levy was there to support him because he was sure if she hadn’t he would have collapsed right then and there. The nurse gently passed the baby girl into Gray’s arms without so much as another word. For one moment Gray was mesmerized. She was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen—wide blue eyes staring up at him, puckered lips, tiny little hands and long eyelashes… Her button nose and her chubby cheeks were red from crying, but she was quiet now, staring up at her father like she already knew who he was.
“W-wait!” Gajeel called to the nurse, “What about Juvia?”
The nurse turned and offered them a smile. “She’s alright! We’re just cleaning up and then Mr. Fullbuster can go see her of course. She’s going to be alright!”
Gray practically melted with relief. “Here!” Levy laughed, “Sit down. I don’t want you to drop the baby.” She helped Gray to the chair, and he plopped down. Both Gajeel and Levy leaned over his shoulders to watch the baby.
Gray was still speechless. Gajeel let out a soft chuckle, “Alright, I’ll admit it, you two make pretty cute kids.”
“She’s beautiful! Gray,” Levy breathed. “Congratulations!”
***
They let him back only a few minutes later. He carried their daughter with him to a little room where Juvia was leaning against pillows in bed. She looked exhausted, and like she had been crying. She had dark circles under her eyes, and her hair was a mess. But she was so beautiful. It almost made him breathless. He came to the side of her bed and took her hand with his free hand.
“You did it,” he whispered, leaning forward to press a tender kiss to her forehead. She let out a shaky breath.
        “Barely.”
“You did it,” he said again, “You did it. And now look. We have a daughter…” he gently rested the baby in her arms and Juvia let out a happy sigh, tears filling her eyes.
        “Isn’t she beautiful?”
“She’s wonderful.” Gray murmured. Then he paused, wrapping an arm around his wife’s shoulders, “Don’t ever scare me like that again, Juvia,” he let out a shaky breath. “You scared me to death.”
“Juvia will try,” the blue-haired woman giggled. “After all, Juvia certainly can’t lose Gray-sama to something like being scared to death.”
        “Haha… just… I was really worried.”
Her expression softened. “Juvia is sorry, Gray.” She leaned against his shoulder. “She is fine now. Everything is going to be okay.”

Hi there! Could you please write a cute, fluffy Gruvia fic with no. 69 (Gray says the quote) Love your writing btw
Hi! Sorry this one’s a little short, but I hope you like it anyways. :) I hope there’s enough fluff. I forgot you had specifically requested fluff when I first started. :D
Enjoy!
Gruvia: “Wait, no, don’t take kissing away from me.” (Gray saying the quote)
Gray and Juvia both dropped down onto the couch with exhausted sighs. Gray’s hair was a mess and Juvia had dark circles under her eyes. She looked so tired, but still—so beautiful. Gray wouldn’t change this for the world. For once there was peace and quiet, and he could reach out and hold his wife’s hand.
“Kids should come with a manual,” he said. “You know, like on the back of those silly magic toys that magic shops sell now-a-days.”
Juvia groaned, “Well, she’s asleep for now. What should we do?” It suddenly hit hi that they could do anything—anything they wanted as long as they were quiet. But, his mind was blank. Has our life really been so wrapped around our daughter that I don’t even know what I want to do anymore? He glanced over at Juvia again. She was looking up at him expectantly, her eyes shining despite the lack of sleep.
“I want to kiss my wife,” Gray whispered. Juvia grinned and leaned over to press a soft kiss to his lips. God, I missed this. No screaming baby—as much as he loved Neve—no dirty diapers, no half-asleep kisses before passing out. This was the real thing. Just him and Juvia, and it was like the first time he had dared to kiss her all over again. It was alive.
Juvia wrapped an arm around his shoulder and Gray leaned into the kiss until she was on her back against the couch cushions. He pressed fevered kisses against her neck, across her collarbone, breathing in the faint scent of her perfume and petrichor. Are we doing this now? Juvia grabbed his belt buckle, fiddling with the clasp. We’re doing this now. Just as she had unclipped his belt and just as Gray was halfway through the buttons of her shirt—pressing longing kisses across the curve of her breast—the baby started crying in the next room.
Juvia let out a groan, trying to sit up. “No,” Gray sighed, reaching out to take her hand, “Don’t take kissing away from me.”
“Gray,” Juvia shook her head, “Our daughter is probably hungry.” She hurried down the short hall to their bedroom, not bothering to fix her shirt. Gray let out a groan, leaning back against the couch. So much for getting to do whatever we want. He fixed his pants, and stood, making his way down the hall to join his wife.
Juvia was sitting on the edge of their bed, her shirt discarded, Neve in her arms—nursing. Gray stood in the doorway, admiring her for a moment. She looked angelic, her curls still a mess, her eyes still tired, but angelic none-the-less. Neve was almost two months old, with a head of dark curly hair and the chubbiest arms and legs Gray had ever seen.
“What?” Juvia frowned, “You’re staring, Gray.”
“Sorry,” Gray moved to sit on the edge of the bed next to her. “It’s just, you’re the most beautiful woman in the world, you know that?”
Juvia’s cheeks flushed, “You say that to Juvia now? Juvia is a mess.”
“I’m just in awe of you, Juvia,” he whispered. “You carried our daughter around inside you for nine months. Now you feed her like every two hours. You care for her. You’re the gentlest, most wonderful mother. Neve is lucky to have you.” He paused, reaching out to brush a curl away from her cheek. “Damn, I’m lucky to have you.” Juvia’s whole face was red.
          “Gray…”
“I love you,” Gray whispered. “I love both of you.”
“Juvia loves you too,” she whispered. “And so does Neve.”

Gruvia&Nalu Oneshot: Just like their Parents
This was requested by @sakurahilda --who asked for #100 and requested some of the guild watching Gray and Juvia’s kid while they’re away on a mission, and realizing how much their kid is like Gray and Juvia! I hope you don’t mind, friend, I used some 2nd Gen OCs I came up with when writing my 30-day challenge for all my favorite FT couples. This fic includes Nalu’s, Gruvia’s, and Jerza’s kids!
I hope you like it!
Gruvia: Just like their Parents
“Okay!” Juvia leaned over, pulling Neve into her arms. “You’re going to have a good time with Lucy and Natsu!”
“Yeah!” Neve beamed. Lucy leaned back against the wall outside the guild, watching the parents say goodbye to their daughter. She knew Gray was really hesitant to leave her with anyone. Neve was only 4, but Juvia had been ready to take on another job again. How many times had Lucy assured her friends that Neve would be perfectly safe with her and Natsu! And, of course, Neve could play with Igneel and Layla—Lucy and Natsu’s twins.
“You be good!” Gray huffed, but Lucy could see how much he was going to miss his daughter.
“Neve will, daddy!” Neve laughed, throwing her little arms around her father’s shoulders. Gray wrapped her in a tight hug.
“We’ll be back in a couple days.”
Neve waved goodbye to her parents as they set off, and then turned towards Lucy. “Can Neve go play with Ingeel and Layla?”
“Sure!” Lucy nodded. “They’re playing in the back.” Lucy took Neve’s hand and lead her back to where her own children were playing behind the guildhall, in a little courtyard. At the edge of the little outdoor area Natsu, Jellal, and Erza were sitting watching the kids play—Erza and Natsu in chairs, and Jellal in the grass, at his wife’s feet. Lucy and Natsu’s twins, Layla and Igneel, were building a small castleout of little stones. Keon, Erza and Jellal’s son, was watching quietly. His disposition was so much like his father’s, Lucy knew. She wondered if he was trying to decide whether or not he would like to join Layla and Igneel. Neve, who was clutching Lucy’s hand, was instantly drawn to the purple-haired little boy. She dropped Lucy’s hand in a second.
“Keon!” She gasped, dashing towards the shy boy. Keon looked up, bewildered, just before the four-year-old threw her arms around him tightly. He groaned.
          “Neve! Let goooo…”
Lucy joined her friends at the edge of the courtyard, Natsu jumped up, offering her his chair and plopped down on the ground next to Jellal.
“She’s so much like her mom,” Lucy said, watching Neve giggle, still holding onto Keon tightly.
“Very much so,” Erza laughed, “Whoever she settles on—between Keon and Igneel—is going to suffer.”
“Igneel?” Natsu snorted, “Neve hates Igneel.”
“What?” Jellal frowned, eyeing the dark blue haired little girl. Lucy agreed—Neve didn’t look like she was capable of hating anyone, but she never got along with the oldest of Natsu and Lucy’s twins. It took Lucy back to the days when Natsu and Gray used to be unable to spend a second in the other’s company without beating each other up. In that respect then, Lucy supposed Neve was like her father.
“Hey! Keon!” Igneel grinned, “You wanna build with us?” Igneel was 5—one year older than Neve and two years older than Keon. He gestured to the rock wall they had created already. Lucy groaned. Her son’s hair was a mess. No matter how much she tried to fix the spikey orange mess, it always seemed to get worse. She blamed Natsu.
“No!” Neve gasped, “It’s just like you, Igneel, to try and steal Keon away from Neve!”
“Geez, I’m not stealing him, Neve. I’m just wondering if he wants to play.”
“You’d say that, wouldn’t you?” Neve growled, “You’re a big dummy!”
“I could burn you up, just like my dad!”
“Neve could freeze you ‘till you’re dead, just like Neve’s daddy!”
“Should we stop them?” Lucy frowned. She could almost see the images of their fathers in them. With Natsu’s green eyes in Igneel, Gray’s determined expression on Neve’s chubby face. Natsu stood, stretched, and sighed.
“Alright, alright. Enough.” He grabbed the back of Igneel’s jacket, pulling him gently away from the Fullbuster girl.
“Dad!” Igneel shouted, “She’s being mean!”
“You’re both being mean,” Natsu retorted. “Why can’t you two just get along?”
Neve crossed her arms and looked away with a huff. Lucy hid her laugh behind her hand. For a four-year-old, Neve knew how to hold a grudge.
“Come on,” Natsu sighed, “Igneel. Apologize.” Igneel’s whole face turned red. Lucy couldn’t tell if it was because he was embarrassed or furious.
“Why?!” he screamed, “I was just tryin’ to be nice! She started it!”
“Just do it, Iggy,” Layla said from where she was watching, exasperated.
          “Shut up!” Igneel snapped.
“Hey!” Lucy gasped, “Igneel Dragneel! Don’t ever speak to your sister that way!”
“Apologize to Neve and Layla,” Natsu said.
“Fine.” Igneel sighed, offering his father a very familiar glare. Lucy almost couldn’t stop herself from laughing. “Layla, I’m sorry. Neve…” He glanced over at Neve with disdain, “I’m sorry.”
“Neve,” Natsu said, crossing his arms. “Apologize to Igneel.”
Neve gave Igneel such a sour expression, that Lucy was sure, if it wasn’t for her long dark curls and bright blue eyes, she would think she was looking at a young version of Gray. “Fine,” Neve said, “Neve is sorry for… calling you dumb.”
“There, all better.” Natsu said, clapping his hands, before turning back towards Lucy, Jellal, and Erza to sit on the ground.
“Neve?” Layla said, leaning over her little rock wall. “Do you and Keon both want to help us build?”
The four-year-old’s eyes lit up. All arguments forgotten—for now. Lucy watched as the four children began to play together.
“They’re going to be trouble when they’re older,” she said.
“Yeah. Like me ‘n Gray were,” Natsu sighed.
“Layla will keep them in line, Lucy,” Erza laughed.
Yeah, Lucy thought, glancing back at Neve. Just like Natsu and Gray—or maybe Juvia and Gray. Or Maybe a bit of both. She imagined one day Neve would grow up and realize that somehow she had become friends with the orange-haired fire mage. The thought made her smile.

Gruvia Week Day 4: Sports
I thought this was a weird prompt at first. I wasn’t sure if I would do it. But then I think I had an adorable idea.
Gruvia — Swimming
“What’s wrong, Neve?” Juvia frowned, fawning over her daughter who was barely a week past her second birthday. “You love the water.” Gray, with all the concern of a first-time father, was blowing up another small innertube while still fussing over the little inflatable water wings that were already tight around Neve’s arms. It had taken all of Juvia’s efforts to convince her husband to take Neve to the pool.
“Mommy, it’s big,” Neve whispered, pressing a little hand to her chubby cheek. Juvia shook her head.
“That’s okay. Mommy will be with you the whole time!”
“It’s bigger than the bath,” Neve’s little blue eyes were wide as she stared out into the pool. In reality, the pool wasn’t that deep. At least, not on this side. And Gray was determined not to let his daughter float outside of the shallows. It would almost be cute how nervous he was about this, if it weren’t for the fact that it was impeding his wife from sharing her favorite activity with their daughter.
           “Daddy’s here too,” Juvia said.
“And I’m not leaving your side,” Gray added, pushing in the stopper for the innertube and helping Neve step into it.
           “But…”
“Juvia, she’s scared,” Gray frowned, “Maybe…”
“Neve, watch Mommy. Look!” Juvia hopped down into the pool. The water came up barely past her knees, so she sat down with a sigh. “It’s so refreshing in here. See, safe and sound. And you don’t ever have to let go of Mama if you don’t want.”
“Okay…” Neve said, “Okay, as long as you don’t let go.” She had a very stern expression on her face. Juvia had to bite her lip to keep from laughing.
           “Mama promises.”
“Alright, are you ready?” Gray asked, lifting his daughter up. Neve nodded, a look of familiar determination crossing into her blue eyes. She brushed dark blue curls away from her eyes.
           “Ready!”
Gray passed Neve to his wife, and Juvia pulled their daughter into the water with a light splash. Neve let out a shriek, and pressed her little arms around Juvia’s neck, holding on for dear life.
“Neve… Neve, it’s okay. Doesn’t it feel nice?” Neve giggled, pressing her forehead to Juvia’s cheek. Slowly Neve pulled away, becoming more and more comfortable with the pool, despite the fact she couldn’t quite reach the bottom. After a little while, she was splashing Juvia and laughing, waving at Gray—who was sitting on the edge of the pool with his legs in the water.
“Mama?” Neve frowned, patting at the water with her free hand, the other still tightly holding to Juvia’s swim top strap.
           “Yes, dear?” Juvia smiled.
“Will you teach me to swim?”
Juvia beamed, pulling Neve into a hug. “Of course! Mama would be happy to teach you.” Over her little daughter’s shoulder, Juvia glanced up at her husband with a grin and mouthed: Juvia told you. Gray rolled his eyes and flashed her a teasing smile before splashing them both. Neve let out a shriek of laughter, clinging to Juvia.
“Daddy! Jump in!” Juvia let out a happy sigh, as Gray joined them in the pool. She hoped they would have many more days like this, just Gray, Juvia, Neve, and the water.

OTP Challenge Day 26: Birthday
OTP: Gruvia
Rating: E
“Happy Birthday, Neve!” came a chorus of shouts from Gray and Juvia’s little apartment. Erza set a beautiful strawberry cake in front of the little one-year-old.
“Blow out the candles and make a wish,” Gray prompted. He counted down, “Three… two… one… blow!” He blew and Neve spluttered and the candle went out. Cheers echoed through the dining room. Juvia kissed the top of Neve’s messy, dark blue curls, and turned to cut the cake.
“Alright! Birthday girl first,” Lucy said. Everyone had come for Neve’s first birthday celebration. Practically the entire guild had managed to fit into Juvia and Gray’s kitchen, dining room, living room, and balcony. Their closest friends had arrived first, and gathered around the table. Lucy was sitting next to Gray and Neve, her baby bump had been growing more and more pronounced. Soon she and Natsu’s little one would be greeting them all. Juvia wondered what they would be like. Wild and spontaneous like Natsu? Calculated and determined like Lucy? Natsu was animatedly talking to Elfman behind her, describing some job he went on the day before. Erza was standing besides, Juvia, arms crossed having proudly delivered the cake. She was the same as she had always been—strong, guarded, but she held a smile. Across the dining room, Jellal was fussing over their son, Keon, who was only a couple months old. Gajeel and Laxus were discussing some sort of strategy, while Levy was trying to fix Galena’s wild dark hair from where she rested, fast asleep on her father’s shoulder. Mirajane was rocking a wailing Kostya in the living room. Meanwhile, Asuka was chasing her younger brother. An argument had started between two people on the balcony. It was wild, it was untamed, it was beautiful. And Juvia had never been so grateful that she could raise her daughter to be a part of it all, every last chaotic moment. This guild is our family.
The crowds dwindled around midnight, but of course all the children were fast asleep. Guild parties were typically late events. Juvia was cleaning up the kitchen when Gray grabbed her hand and gently pulled her against him, kissing her forehead.
“I’d call this mess a successful first birthday,” he murmured against her cheek. She smiled, gently wrapping an arm around his neck.
“Juvia would as well.” Together they cleaned up the last mess in the kitchen and moved out to the living room where the girl of the hour, Neve, was fast asleep on one of the arm chairs.
“How many of these do we have to have?” Gray groaned, flopping down on the couch.
“Juvia would assume at least eighteen.” Gray glanced up at her where she stood behind the couch and let out a sigh, reaching up to grasp her hand.
“What in the world would I do without you?” He murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her knuckles. Juvia smiled,
“Juvia thinks you’d be fine,” she said. “You’re strong, Gray.”
Gray stared wordlessly at his daughter, sleeping peacefully, and shook his head. “There have been plenty of times where I should have been convinced otherwise. I’m not strong. That’s why I have the guild, our friends… that’s why I have you.” Juvia gently brushed her fingers through his hair, and then leaned over to press a kiss to his lips.
           “And Juvia isn’t going anywhere.”
“Well, I move that we go to bed.” Gray yawned. Juvia laughed, gently releasing his hand to gather their daughter up from the chair on the other side of the little room.
“Juvia seconds that motion,” she said as she lifted Neve as gently as possible from her resting place and into her arms. Gray stood, locking the front door and shutting the curtains before following her down the hall. They tucked their one-year-old into bed, and then crawled into bed themselves, finding each other in the darkness of their room, assuming their familiar positions—Juvia resting her head against her husband’s shoulder, hand resting on his chest. One whole year. A year ago they had welcomed their daughter into the world. What else did life have in store for them. Juvia found Gray’s hand and entwined her fingers with his, and then slowly drifted off to sleep.

OTP Challenge Day 24: Shopping for Fun
OTP: Nalu
Rating: G
“Where are we going anyways?” Natsu groaned. He had been following Lucy around all morning. She had just met up with Levy, Erza, Juvia, Wendy, and Carla in the square in front of the Cathedral. Juvia and Levy had left their daughters with their husbands for the day. Lucy wasn’t sure how they managed to convince Gray and Gajeel to take care of Neve and Galena but she was glad they had. It was definitely way past time for a girl’s day. Besides, with Erza five months along, and… well… it wouldn’t be long before girl’s days became rarer and much harder to obtain.
“The girls and I are going window shopping,” Lucy huffed, “You weren’t invited, but—”
“Why is Natsu here?” Wendy asked, “Weren’t you going to look for a job today?”
“Lucy asked me to stay home,” Natsu sighed, “She said she had news or something she wanted to tell me so…” Erza, Juvia, and Levy all shared a knowing look, Wendy didn’t seem to notice.
“Natsu is here because I mentioned going out to lunch,” Lucy said, crossing her arms, “And for some reason food drives him more than his own wife.”
“That’s not true!” Natsu huffed, and then he leaned over with a moan, “Ayyyyeee, I’m so hungry.”
“Why don’t you go find Gajeel and Galena and go get something to eat,” Lucy suggested. Natsu almost perked up.
“Ah, yeah! Is Gajeel at home?” He asked Levy.
“He actually to Galena to the guild,” Levy said, “I bet Gray and Neve are there too.”
           “Yes,” Juvia nodded knowingly.
“Alright!” Natsu pumped his fist, and then spun around to face Happy, “Lets go get some food.”
“Aye, sir!” Happy grinned. The two boys dashed off in the direction of the guild and the girls were at last left alone.
“Lucy!” Erza practically pounced on her friend. “What did Natsu mean ‘news’?”
“Yeah! Lu-chan, spill!” Levy said, crossing her arms.
“Woah! It’s just… uh… it’s nothing crazy,” Lucy laughed a little, but all eyes were still on her. “Okay, okay, but you have to keep this on the down low until I tell him!”
“Spill!” Levy said again, determination flashing in her eyes.
“Alright, alright! I just found out I’m pregnant!” She whispered.
“Ah!” Wendy’s eyes lit up. “That means you’re all going to be mothers together!”
“I knew it!” Erza rested a hand on Lucy’s shoulder, “If you ever need advice—”
“You’re just becoming a mother too, you know!” Lucy snapped.
“I can’t believe it!” Levy said, clasping Lucy’s hand. “Galena and your little one are sure to be friends!”
“And Neve too!” Juvia sighed, “Ohhhh this is so exciting!”
“You all have to be quiet about it though,” Lucy said, “Until I tell Natsu about it tonight.” She felt sick to her stomach thinking about it. What will he say? Her heart was pounding at the thought. How will he react? She remembered, not so long ago, when Cana had spread cards out for her and had predicted a baby in her future. She had been convinced that it meant she was pregnant. What Natsu had said then… She remembered so clearly the serious expression in his eyes.
“Well, let’s go shopping!” Levy said, pulling Lucy along by her hand. The girls went to store after store, finding only a few little treasures. They were in the last store of the evening when Wendy showed up at Lucy’s side with little baby footie pajamas, she held it up with her little hands and a bright smile.
“It has a blue kitty on it!” She beamed. Sure enough, the little pajamas were patterned with the silhouettes of little blue cats. Lucy felt her heart warm, and she gently took the tiny foot of the pajamas. These were obviously for a newborn, they were so little. She rubbed the soft fabric between her thumb and fingers and then burst into tears. “L-lucy!” Wendy gasped, “I’m s-sorry, I…”
“N-no, I love them,” Lucy whispered, “They’re perfect! It’s j-just…” She wasn’t sure what was wrong. The only answer that she could come up for herself was that her husband was back at the guild. Her husband didn’t know. “Let’s get it, and then I have to go. I…” she felt tears rise in her eyes again, and she shook them away, “I have to tell Natsu.”
Once the little pajamas were paid for, Lucy quickly said goodbye to her friends, promising to meet them back at the guild, and then, clutching her little one’s first gift, she dashed through the streets of Magnolia towards the guild. The sun was just beginning to set, casting strange shadows across the cobblestone, but she was not swayed to stop by anyone or anything.
When she burst into the guildhall she found Natsu sitting with Elfman and Gray. Evergreen was standing above them, holding little Neve, who was fast asleep against her shoulder. Natsu noticed Lucy almost right away, and he grinned, waving her over. “Lucy!” As she drew closer and he saw her expression, saw dried tears, he frowned. “W-what’s wrong?”
“Nothing!” Lucy beamed, “I’m…” She stopped, standing at his side, “I’m very happy and I want to share it with you.”
“Oh? Did you find something cool when you went shopping?” Without offering him a response, Lucy spread the little newborn pajamas out on the table in front of him. Natsu frowned.
“Um… is this for Erza and Jellal?”
“No, dummy,” Lucy whispered, “It’s for us.”
“For…?” They had gathered an audience already, when Natsu looked up at Lucy with growing understanding, “For… us. For… you mean?!”
“You’re going to be a dad, Natsu,” Lucy whispered. From where he was sitting Natsu threw his arms around her hips, pulling her into his embrace. She felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes again as she ran her fingers through his hair. Their little audience offered cheers, and shouts of congratulations, but they all faded away. In her eyes, the only people there were Natsu, and the little one that they held between them, the little one they hoped to meet soon.
“I’m going to be a father,” Natsu whispered against her belly. Lucy gently pulled away to look him in the eyes. There was wonderment there, awe… and love. Lucy smiled down at him, leaning over to press a kiss to his forehead.
“You’re going to be an amazing father, Natsu,” she whispered, “Just like Igneel.” A single tear rolled down Natsu’s cheek and Lucy sat down next to him, pulling him into her arms. “Just like Igneel,” she whispered again, and, as Natsu clutched her tightly, she felt him smile behind his tears.

OTP Challenge Day 24: Double Date
I couldn’t decide who to send on a double date with Erza and Jellal, so I kind of made this a quintuple date.... That is to say, its actually a party. It’s all of them. Together.
OTP: Jerza, but literally also everyone else
Rating: G
“Are you ready?” Jellal was standing at the doorway to their little apartment, hands in his pockets, scarf wrapped tightly around his neck and shoulders. It was snowing out. Erza grabbed her coat.
“Yup!” The Christmas party this year was being held at Natsu and Lucy’s. It had really been between their place and Jellal and Erza’s, since they were the only two couples in their more intimate friend group that hadn’t had a kid yet. Well, besides Gajeel and Levy. But their house was so full of baby stuff now, in prep for their little one—expected to arrive in a few months, that there probably wouldn’t be room for everyone. And between Jellal and Erza and Natsu and Lucy, Natsu and Lucy’s house was the biggest.
“Yeah! We can host this year!” Lucy had gasped, clapping her hands, “Ooh! I can’t wait to decorate.” She had grabbed her husband’s arm with an excited squeal. “We have to get a tree soon now, Natsu!”
Erza let Jellal take the lead, through the streets of Magnolia—snow crunching underneath their boots. “Isn’t it weird,” he murmured, as he glanced up at all the decorations strung from windows, “How all your friends are…”
“…growing up? Getting married? Having kids?” Erza laughed a little. “Yeah, it kind of is. But, time passes… life is funny that way. Hmm… who do you think will be next?”
“Natsu and Lucy have been married for a while,” Jellal said, “You would think they’d be next.”
“Natsu as a father…” Erza shook her head, “That’s what’s hard to imagine.”
When they arrived at Natsu and Lucy’s home just outside of town, the windows were all lit, and Erza could hear music and laughter just on the other side of the door. Jellal raised his fist and knocked. The door swung open almost immediately, and the couple was faced with Lucy’s smile.
“Ah! Erza! Jellal! Come in!” She was dressed in a warm red sweater, her hair was tied back in a loose knot. Over her shoulder, Erza could see everyone else already gathered in the living room around a huge Christmas tree. They were the last ones to arrive, as usual.
“Hey! Merry Christmas!” Natsu shouted from where he sat next to Gray, “Come in!!!”
“Merry Christmas!” Erza replied as Lucy stepped aside and took their coats.
“We were just remembering last year,” Levy beamed. She was sitting in Lucy’s favorite rocking chair, her feet propped up and her blue hair let down. Even Jellal had once admitted to Erza that, yes, it was funny to see a girl so small so pregnant. She was beautiful though, and Erza, once again, felt that pang of jealousy touch her heart. She hated that—that every once in a while when she looked at her friends she envied them. Levy and Gajeel would soon be welcoming a son or daughter. And just next to Levy, on the couch, was Mirajane. Her arms were wrapped safely around her newborn son, Laxus’ pride and joy. Mira had hated that Makarov had been right. She had been so sure that she was expecting a girl. Now, Laxus’ arm was wrapped around his wife’s shoulders. Their son, Konstantin, (adoringly nicknamed ‘Kostya’) was only a few months old, and was fast asleep in his mother’s arms, fingers wrapped tightly around the fabric of her dress and Christmas sweater. Sitting by the window was Gray, and Juvia was sitting on the floor. Their daughter, Neve, would be turning one in only a couple months. Her hair had grown into dark ringlets, her bright blue eyes matched her mother’s in color and joy. She was sorting through what looked to be a brand new block set.
Everyone’s growing up. Erza glanced over at where Jellal picked a seat on the couch next to Natsu. Natsu and Lucy will have a son or daughter next, and I suppose I’ll be left behind. Of course, Erza had Jellal, and she loved Jellal with every fiber of her being, but for some reason the idea of being a mother was stuck fast in her, like a thorn—no… like a splinter.
“Come sit down, Erza!” Jellal said.
“Merry Christmas, everyone!” Erza beamed. She was met with cheers.
“Time to pass out some drinks! This party needs a toast!” Lucy cried, grabbing a bottle of champagne. “Ah that’s right! I have some apple cider for you, Levy!”
           “Thanks, Lu-chan!” Levy smiled.
“What should we toast to?” Gray frowned as Lucy handed him a small glass of champagne.
“A new year!” Mirajane said, her fingers brushing through the fluff of light blond hair on her son’s head.
“A great Christmas day tomorrow,” Gajeel added.
“For getting stronger!” Natsu shouted, “And getting some nice S-Class jobs!”
           “That’s a lot,” Lucy laughed.
Jellal finally spoke, raising his glass, “I’d like to propose a toast.” Everyone followed suit, raising their glasses slightly, waiting for his proclamation, “To love and happiness. May we all continue to meet them this year.”
           “To love and happiness!”
“Hey, I’m starving,” Natsu huffed, after downing his champagne. “Should we get Christmas Eve dinner going?”
“I think that sounds like a great idea!” Lucy and Natsu led the way into the kitchen, and everyone gathered around the counter where a delectable feast was laid out. However, before anyone could cut the turkey, or partake of the delicious pie, that Erza was sure had her name written on it, Lucy squealed, “Erza! Jellal! You’re under the mistletoe!” Erza felt her face go hot as she quickly looked up to see that, sure enough, they had unfortunately chosen to stand in the wrong corner of the kitchen. They were both adults, of course, and Erza loved Jellal, but she hated the unwanted attention this had suddenly brought on both of them and—
“Wh-what?!” Erza managed to stammer out as Jellal dropped to one knee. Everyone was watching with bated breath. Juvia had squealed, clasping her hands together. Levy had pressed both her hands to her mouth, her jaw hanging open in shock.
“This is… um…” Jellal’s face was as red as a tomato as he stammered over words, struggling to find the right way to express himself, “This is rather spontaneous, but it doesn’t mean any less to me than if I had planned something extravagant.”
“J-J-Je….” Erza’s voice was dying in her own throat. She was completely at a loss. This is happening.
“Erza, I love you,” Jellal whispered, holding out a little velvet box with a shining diamond ring. This can’t be real. Jellal is proposing. In front of our friends. It’s Christmas… “Please, do me the honor of making me the happiest man in the world, and be my wife.”
Silence fell on the kitchen, like the entire world was holding its breath. “Je… Jellal!” Erza whispered. No, no! All our friends are here! I can’t cry! “Y-yes!” She managed to choke out. “Yes!” The blue-haired idiot… her blue-haired idiot, grinned from ear-to-ear, before standing and pulling her into a kiss, to the great applause and joy of the rest of the party-goers. She gripped his collar tightly, her knuckles white and her face strawberry-red. He was her lifeline, and she was his.
“Yay! Oh, I knew it!” Lucy gasped, “I knew it wouldn’t be long! It’s crazy! That means we’ll all be married!”
           “Congrats, you two!” Levy beamed.
“Congratulations!” As they served up their plates with Christmas Eve dinner the conversation went to weddings, and dresses, and flowers. Erza didn’t mind one bit, her face still warm, her fingers still entwined with his, the simple ring slipped on her finger.
 ***
As they walked home, arm-in-arm, Jellal was humming some sort of Christmas song, and staring up at the falling snow. They were quiet, moving together through the silence of late evening. But Erza was determined. Once she got an idea in her head, she wasn’t one to drop it. It was stuck fast like a thorn. She stopped walking, Jellal must have recognized the expression on her face.
“What? You have an idea, or something…?”
“Jellal,” she said, turning to face him, “Let’s make a baby.”
           “W-what?!”
“I think you would be a very good father,” Erza said, offering him a smile, “And, maybe… maybe I would be a good mother. I don’t know.”
“You would be a wonderful mother, Erza,” Jellal frowned, “but this is very sudden.”
“Well… everyone else…” she hesitated, and then shook her head, “I just… I don’t know.” She looked up to see her fiancé beaming. He cupped her chin with one hand, brushing his thumb along her jawline. She smiled when he leaned in to kiss her.
           “Let’s do it. Let’s make a baby.”

OTP Challenge Day 22: Picnic
I had trouble with this one, so I’m not sure it’s my best work. Anyways. We’re finally back on track. :D
OTP: Nalu, technically, but includes a LOT of them ;)
Rating: G
“Where are we going?” Lucy laughed as Natsu dragged her through the forest. He grinned back at her with a wild look in his eyes.
“On an adventure!” He pulled her forward with all the strength of one arm, picking up speed as they dashed past trees, and roots, and diverging paths. It was only a few seconds more before Lucy saw a light up ahead, and they burst free from the trees out into a field of wildflowers. Natsu skidded to a halt. Before them was a river, and beyond that more flowers. Natsu pointed up to a tall flowering tree by the riverbank. “That!”
“It’s beautiful!” Lucy gasped. “When did you find this?!”
“When I was a kid,” Natsu shrugged, “I went exploring all the time to try and find Igneel, or to find clues about where he might have gone. One day I found this place.”
“And you remembered it after all this time?” Lucy beamed, dropping down into the tall grass and stretching out to watch clouds drift by. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Natsu blush.
           “No, actually. Lisanna remembered it.”
“Of course she did,” Lucy smiled, she plucked a white daisy from it’s tall green stem, and spun it around between her fingers. Natsu sat down next to her, setting aside his bag and pulling out several food items: sandwiches, a bottle of lemonade—corked tightly, and cookies.
“A picnic?” Lucy sat up quickly as the dragon slayer handed her half of a sandwich.
“Lisanna helped with that part too,” he sighed, “You know I’m not really any good at… this.”
“Natsu, you managed to steal my heart. I think you’re doing fine,” Lucy whispered, slipping the daisy into his hair, just above his ear. He offered her his signature grin. “And, I’m so glad you’re sharing this place with me. It makes it special that we finally get to be alone together. It’s our first date as an engaged couple!” She laughed, but as she spoke Natsu’s expression changed.
           “What do you mean ‘alone’?”
“Natsu…” She narrowed her eyes, “What…?”
“I invited everyone else, duh,” Natsu huffed, “You can’t keep a place like this a secret!”
“What do you mean?! Not even for a couple hours?!”
“Natsu! Lucy!” Levy waved from the edge of the forest. She was resting her chin on Gajeel’s head, her arms wrapped around his broad shoulders. She looked little, legs wrapped tightly around his waist. She was wearing some sort of jumper, and her hair was tied back.
“Heyyyy!” Natsu waved back, just as more guildmates began appearing at the treeline.
“What, did you invite the whole guild?” Lucy snapped, as more familiar faces approached their picnic spot. Juvia and Gray, with little Neve (only a few months old); Elfman and Lisanna, with Evergreen following behind; Makarov and even Mavis, skipping along to a song she was humming; Carla, Happy, and Lily; even Mirajane had made it, in her seventh month of pregnancy, Laxus supporting her with his strong arm (“I knew some fresh air would do me good!”).
“I thought we would have a picnic all to ourselves,” Lucy murmured, a little disappointed. Natsu noticed her expression, and turned to her with a sigh.
“I know this was our first date as fiancés, but Lu… I thought we could celebrate with everyone!”
“Juvia brought champagne!” Juvia sat down next to Lucy, holding out the bottle. At her side, Gray was holding their daughter. She was laughing wildly, little dimples made more clear by her smiles. Her little hands pressed against Gray’s cheeks as if he was the most fascinating, hilarious thing she had ever touched.
“Neve,” the ice-maker grinned, “Neve, what’s so funny?”
“Obviously,” Natsu said, with a yawn, “She thinks your face is a joke. I always thought it was pretty ugly.”
           “Really?” Lucy sighed.
“You want to say that again, fire-brain?”
“Hey, now!” Mirajane laughed, “This is a celebration! Not a reason to fight. Come on, Natsu, Gray, we’re celebrating Lucy and Natsu’s engagement!”
“No fighting,” Erza’s words sent shivers down Lucy’s spine, and obviously was enough to make the two boys stop in their tracks.
“Right,” Gray said, speaking to his daughter, “We’re celebrating Uncle Natsu and Aunt Lucy!”
“Awaahhhh!” Neve screamed, patting Gray’s cheeks with all her might.
“Uncle Natsuuuu…” Natsu mused. “I do like that. Hey, Laxus! When Mira has the kid can he call me Uncle Natsu?”
“Not on your life,” Laxus huffed.
“Besides, it’s a girl,” Mira said firmly.
“Nonsense,” Makarov said matter-a-factly, “First-borns in the Dreyar Family have always been boys.”
“We’ll see about that,” Mira murmured, pressing a hand against her swollen belly, “Won’t we, darling?”
“Hey! Gajeel! When you and Levy have a kid can they call me Uncle Natsu?!”
           “Whaattt!” Levy gasped.
“Hey! What makes you think we’re gonna--!”
           “Y-yeah! What could possibly—”
“Stop it, we all know,” Erza rolled her eyes. “But we’re not here to celebrate that. We’re here for the engagement of these two! I propose a toast.”
The champagne was popped open, and-finally-what had started as a mess was shaping out to be something somewhat resembling a celebration of sorts.
“To Natsu and Lucy! We always knew you would finally get together. You really are a perfect match!” Erza beamed, raising her glass.
“To Natsu and Lucy!” Everyone else shouted, and then threw back their glasses.
“Hang on, hang on. I have something to say,” Makarov stood, raising his own glass, and Lucy could have sworn—for half a second—that she saw tears in his eyes. “Natsu! I’ve known you since you were just a tiny brat,” he sniffed, and then paused, glancing around at his audience, “I can’t believe all you stupid kids are grown up. Look at Gray and Juvia! They have Neve! What about Laxus--!”
“Alright, alright, gramps,” Laxus chuckled, “You’re embarrassing yourself.”
“Congratulations, Natsu,” Makarov sighed, “You finally found a woman who might actually be able to keep you on your toes.” Lucy shared a look with her future husband. Natsu was quiet for once, and he actually almost looked touched.
“Guess…” Gray paused. His hands were empty now, Neve was resting in her mother’s lap. “Guess I should say something too.” There was a long silence before Gray spoke again. “Natsu and Lucy. I… don’t know what to say. I know we argue a lot Natsu, but you’ve been a good friend to me, and I’m glad you found someone like Lucy, to take care of you.”
“Gray!” Natsu grinned, “We fight a lot because that’s the best way to be friends, right? Who can say no to a little competition?”
“Listen, Natsu…” Gray trailed off, “Thanks. For everything. Congrats.”
“Gray!” A firm hand landed on the demon-slayer’s shoulder. “Will you be my best man?”
           “W-what?!”
“At the wedding. I want you to be my best man.”
“What? Are you sure you don’t want Gildarts are something?”
“Gildarts?” Natsu hesitated, “Actually, that would be pretty cool.”
           “Natsu!” Lucy gasped, exasperated.
“Alright, just kidding! No, I want you, Gray. You’re my best friend.”
*** ***
“Sorry I ruined our first date as an engaged couple.” Those were the first words out of Natsu’s mouth when they were finally alone. Everyone had stayed in the meadow, laughing and talking, until the stars came out. Now, sprawled across their bed, watching her fiancé pull of his outer layer of clothes, Lucy shook her head.
“No, Natsu! It turned out to be perfect—more than perfect!” She laughed a little, “I know I was upset at first, but… I’m glad everyone came?”
“Really?” Natsu plopped down next to her on the bed.
“Yeah!” Lucy beamed, entwining her fingers with his. “Besides, now we have the whole night to ourselves.” Natsu grinned, leaning over to steal a kiss.
“I can’t wait to marry you,” he murmured, his voice low.
Lucy sighed, brushing her fingers through his fluffy hair, pulling him in for another kiss, “I love you, Natsu.”

Gruvia: It’s Going to Be Okay
This was requested by @siriuslight1 I really hope you enjoy!!! It was fun to write! <3
Gruvia: #51 Sensory Prompt–that jittery, sick feeling when you can’t do anything
