the hardest to convince, you could ask him over and over but he never gives in, he only gives in because you "annoyed him" which obviously ain't true he's just whipped

doesn't even let you pick the color either, he just tosses you the black nail polish because he's aware it's a neutral color

the two of you lounged on some couches on the upstairs area of the guild, his arm was around your shoulder as he talked to the thunder legion. while he talked to them your mind was elsewhere, you glanced at his hand. you remained silent while you stared at it you didn’t even notice how focused you were, you didn’t even notice the thunder legion going downstairs for a quick bite to eat.

you held his hand in yours as the two of you sat side by side on the upstairs level of the guild. you noticed how rough his knuckles looked from all the punches he would through, and small scars littering his hands. your gaze game down to his nails and you gazed down at your own painted nails and you got the best idea.

“you should let me paint your nails.”

with in a heartbeat he responded “no.”

you groaned “come on it’ll be fun and it’ll look cute!”

“no.”

“i think you should let me paint them, they’ll look so nice too! besides your hands could use some tlc” you looked down at his hands and rose a single brow, a manicure was clearly needed for him. even if you couldn’t do anything about the scars the nails would at least spruce them up a little.

“i’m good.” he rolled his eyes at you but made no effort to remove his hand from your grasp.

you stared at him and he sighed feeling your eyes on him “tell me why i should let you paint my nails?”

“because i’m your s/o and you love me and you would do anything for me” you flashed him a grin and he rose a single brow in return “pleaseee.”

he sighed finally giving in, he his free hand down his face knowing he was going to regret his decision “fine.”

you led him out of the guild abiding “knowing” glances from some guildmates. you walked back to your house and gladly led him into your bedroom where you were going to paint his nails. you walked over to him with your box of nail polish clearly excited

“we can try any color you want maybe we could-”

he cuts you off tossing the black nail polish at you, you catch it easily and sigh “you’re so boring, i was hoping we could do a blue or something.”

“the second it chips you’re removing it.”

he’ll only go for black you could talk him into grey to match his metal magic but only if it’s a dark grey

you sat across from where he sat in the guildhall leaning close to him with a grin “i just had the best idea ever, you should let me paint your nails.”

he looked at you annoyed “im still waiting on your ‘best idea ever’.”

you rolled his eyes used to his attitude by now “im serious it would be fun! plusss you’ll look like a rockstar, a real rockin' one with a stage presence.”

he rose a brow "what kind of rockstar wears nail polish?"

"a color-coordinated one. come on don't you wanna look nice for your next performance? if you don't like it we can take it off i promise." you silently begged with your eyes.

he sighed "fine if it gets you to stop your whining."

you cheered and grabbed his hand leading him to where you lived, he got comfortable in your bed while you rummaged around for some nail polish in your bathroom. you debated on shades of black and grey but you ultimately decided to bring all of them so he could have some options.

"okay so i have a few colors here which one are we feeling. maybe this one?" you held up a dark grey nail polish "or maybe this one?" you held up a light grey nail polish resembling the color of iron "or maybe-"

"well do this one" he cut you off and picked up the black nail polish

you took the black nail polish in your hand you couldn't complain much since the color would match his overall vibe, but you can't deny you were hoping to at least use some grey tones to match his iron.

"okay we can do black it'll look cute too." you take his hand in yours and smile at him, you focus intently on his nails. you knew the chances of him letting him do his nails again were low so you made sure to make his nails look perfect for the first and unfortunately the last time you'll be painting them.

he watched as you concentrated on his nails, you took great care in making sure you wouldn't mess up some nails it was honestly cute to him he couldn't help but snicker "you're really putting a lot of focus into some nails doll." he rested his free hand on his cheek and smirked at you.

"well duh, i have to make them look nice who knows when I'll be able to paint your nails again. if this is the first and last time i'm painting your nails they're gonna look cute ya know." you spoke while completely focusing on his nails.

he offered a hum as a response and let you finish working on his nails. once you finished his nails he gave you a kiss as payment.

a few days have passed by since you pained his nails, and once he saw them getting old he immediately walked over to your house and barged in "hey." he walked past you lounging on your couch, ignoring your confused expression, he walked into your bathroom then flopped down onto the couch next to you with nail polish removal and the black nail polish in his hands.

"they're gettin old wanna fix 'em up for me doll?"

the two of you were hanging out at your house, he’s at your house more than yours it was like he lived there at this point. you were lounging on your couch mindlessly talking about everything and anything. you looked down at his hands and a light bulb went off in your head

“you should let me paint your nails, we could make them match your babies too.”

he shrugged "okay let's do it."

you flashed him a smile and gently kissed his lips "I'm gonna get the nail polish i'll be right back." you padded off to your bathroom and went through your nail polish basket, you couldn't decide between purples, greens, and some oranges, although you felt like the orange was a stretch. you shrugged and brought him all the colors you walked back to the couch with various nail polish colors in your arms, and you dumped them on the couch in between the two of you.

"i couldn't decide on one color so i brought multiple! you can pick which one you want though."

he looked down at all the colors you bought and settled on a dark purple "this would match my helmet wouldn't it?" he grins and handed you the purple nail polish.

you took his hand in yours and took care in painting his nails, he watched as you painted his nails his great care "you're really focused there babe."

you snickered "well yeah i don't want your babies making fun of your nails because they're sloppy." he laughed along with you and leaned to gently kissed your forehead.

"i can't focus if you're kissing me bix" you smiled and spoke without taking your eyes off his nails.

he laughed and smiled at you "and what if i don't want you focused?" you looked up at him and sent him a playful glare "do you want your nails to look like a mess or do you want them to look nice?" he leaned in closer to you "whatever gets your attention onto me."

"so needy" you teased while giggling and gave him a soft kiss on the lips "i'm almost done with your nails then I'll be all yours."

he was drunk and he was just talkin

he was the one who suggest you even painted his nails when he was playing with your hand and noticed your nail polish and randomly suggested it

he traced along your hands giving them great focus despite his drunken state "let's paint our nails to match it'll wild baby." you giggled at his state "are you sure you want me to paint your nails? you're pretty drunk right now i'd doubt you'd even remember this."

he laughed loudly "do y'a know who you're talking to baby? bein' drunk is my magic." he pulled you off to the stool you were sitting on at the bar and led you home, or he assumed he was the one leading he started wobbling within a few steps so you had to lead him instead.

once you made it to your house you lead him to your bedroom where he could sit on your bed so you could paint his nails "i feel like a nice purple would suit you." you spoke to him from the bathroom raising your voice slightly so he could hear you, he hummed a response.

you hopped onto your bed with the nail polish in hand and took his hand in yours "make em look nice baby i wanna show the guys how wild i am" he emphasized his guilds motto with a small yell and a grin on his face causing you to laugh "hold still so i can do em right."

he grinned at you "come on say it with me baby these nails are gonna be" you playfully rolled your eyes at him but spoke his guilds mantra in unison "wild!"

you laughed and brought your focus back to his nails, while you did his nails he spoke mindlessly. it was becoming obvious that he was just talking so he could stay awake all the drinks he had was catching up to him. once his nails dried he carefully laid down not wanting to ruin your handiwork.

he woke up the next morning with a splitting headache and newly painted nails, he slowly sat up groaning when he noticed you sleeping by his side he froze. you stirred in your sleep and slowly opened your eyes.

he leaned down to kiss your forehead "mornin' baby. did we paint my nails yesterday? i don't remember much after the bar." he squinted in thought "or was it before the bar..."

you giggled "yes i did paint your nails bacchus you asked me to do them."

he looked down at his nails and smirked "they're wild baby."

Gajeel Redfox X Reader

(Y/n) lies stretched out on the couch in her boyfriend's home, waiting for the male to get out of the shower so that they could head off to the guild. Though she quickly grew bored and ended up getting off the couch to go wonder the kitchen, that was when she found it. Cling wrap. An idea came to mind, and she quickly searched the drawers under the sink, finding the duct tape she had been searching for. She made her way to the bathroom door; it opened in wards so she knew her plan would work. She covered the upper third of the doorway in the cling wrap, taping it down before taping off the opening of the hallway with it.

The next step was to determine a hiding place, choosing the corner of the living room blocked off by the couches as the best choice. She quickly turned on the hot water of the kitchen sink, then ran over and basically leaped over the couches to duck in this corner with a cover thrown over her. In seconds she heard a loud string of curses as her iron brained boyfriend stumbled out of the shower as the water went ice cold. That was quickly followed by the screams of her name and the bathroom door being thrown open, she assumed he hit the first barrier by the sliding sound and thud.

She tensed when she heard him growl and the pounding of his footsteps before the sound of plastic straining, he hit the wall of cling wrap. (Y/n) could almost swear she could feel his irritation, she burrowed under the pile of pillows that were in the corner. Hoping they would hide her much better than just the cover, the sound of the plastic ripping made her freeze. She placed a hand over her mouth and tried to keep her breathing quiet, the cold air at ground level made her tense to fight the chill but she could feel his footsteps as he began wondering about in search for her. She could hear him perfectly thanks to the small gaps behind and under the couches, so when she heard his deep chuckle, she barely fought back against the squeak caught in her throat.

"You think you can hide from me (Y/n)?... I'm gonna find you and when I do... I'll have to punish you." She held her breath when hearing his footsteps stop close by, she could practically feel his eyes looking over the corner. Though when she heard the couch to her right creek she panicked, leaping up and tossing the cover over Gajeel's head as she bolted. Though she didn't get far, she ended up tripping over one of her shoes and falling flat on her face. It was at that moment Gajeel's booming laughter filled the room; he tossed the balled-up cover into the corner before walking over towards her. "You okay down there munchkin? You hit pretty hard." He chuckled and watched the girl sit up, pouting as she puffed up her cheeks and looked up at him. "It's not funny... I thought I was free." Gajeel crouched in front of her, filling her with confusion as she tilted her head. At least until he leaned down and kissed her gently, before she could react, he straightened up and began to leave the room. (Y/n) quickly stood, chasing after him blushing cheeks and all. "H-hey Gajeel! Wait up!"

“Ethernano Dragon’s Roar!”

It was a sunny day in Fiore and as usual, the members of the Fairy Tail guild were having impromptu competitions to find out who held the most power in the guild.

Today’s match was between Gajeel Redfox, the Iron Dragon Slayer and Lilian Ellara, the Ethernano Dragon Slayer.

And boy, was it a chaotic one.

“Iron Dragon’s Lance!”

Gray Fullbuster watched the two Slayers fight, though his focus was only on one of the two.

Lillian swiftly dodged Gajeel’s spell and swiftly launched a counter attack, earning her a yell of approval from the Titania, Erza Scarlett. She was truly a sight to behold when it came to combat.

Gray had always had a crush on Lillian, ever since he had joined the guild. The brunette was an enigma to him. She was sweet, charming and incredibly sassy but in a loveable way. He definitely had feelings for her and suspected she felt the same thanks to listening to the ramblings of a very drunk Cana.

However, there was one issue.

“Gray-sama! Juvia was thinking of going for a walk. Would you like to come along?”

The Ice Make Mage sighed as he turned to face the Water Mage. Juvia had pursued him relentlessly despite him turning her down at multiple occasions. She was stubborn, for sure but it was clear that the other members of Fairy Tail always encouraged her to keep trying because they thought Juvia and Gray made an ideal couple.

“No I-”

Before Gray could answer, Lucy pitched in.

“He’d love to, wouldn’t he?” The Celestial Wizard winked at him and he blinked. Turning back to Juvia, he was about to reject the offer but the look on her face made him agree. He huffed as he put on a jacket.

Why was it so hard for him to just tell Juvia he liked someone else?

With one glance back at Lillian, who was smirking as Gajeel fell to the floor, he walked out of the guild hall with Juvia.

“Guess I underestimated you, pipsqueak” Gajeel groaned as he stood up and Lillian smirked.

She looked around the guild for the one person she wanted to see but he was nowhere to be found.

“Where’s Gray gone off to?” She asked Erza.

“With Julia probably” the Titania sighed dreamily “Young love, am I right?”

“Erza, you’re 19 and those two are 18”

Erza simply rolled her eyes in response.

Lillian bit her lip. Nearly everyone in the guild shipped Gray and Juvia but nobody knew that the Ethernano Dragon slayer had feelings for him too. Well, nobody except Mirajane, who was shooting a warning glance to Lillian at that moment. She had noticed the way Lillian looked at the Ice Mage and simply told her to ‘get over him because Juvia would be a better fit’.

She couldn’t disclose her feelings to anyone else. Not when there was a chance of Gray finding out. Believe it or not, the big bad powerful Dragon Slayer was fearful of rejection. Besides, everyone in the guild felt Juvia would succeed in getting Gray to reciprocate her feelings and by the looks of it, she already had so what was the point?

Maybe they could be together. Maybe not. Maybe Gray even had feelings for her. Or maybe he was with Juvia now. Or maybe he just wasn’t interested in her.

Lillian shook her thoughts off. What was wrong with her? She needed to focus on getting stronger, not focus on one sided romance..what was it called again?

Unrequited love— as her dragon, Zenith would call it.

Erza’s voice suddenly snapped her out of her thoughts.

“I’m going to Sabertooth to meet Frosch, you wanna come with?”

Lillian nodded and followed the redhead.

A distraction could possibly be just what she needed to eliminate her feelings for Gray.

Shutting the door as you walk in, you could only sigh with a sharp intake of air. It seemed the world was out to get you today. Everything seemed to go wrong, everyone had gotten upset at you for something or other, or something got broken. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. Seeing a pair of boots underneath your coat rack signaled the other occupant of the apartment was home.

"He's back early," you mumbled, throwing your keys haphazardly somewhere near your designated key bowl, on a mission to just sink into your couch and melt away. You quickly made your way to the kitchen, ignore the male currently chewing on a screw on the couch. It was obvious to Gajeel that something was wrong; after all, you had neglected to greet him and made a b-line for the pantry.

Seeing you grab a box of cookie crackers, he spoke up, "Food isn't gonna make you feel better, Hansel."

"I can dream, Gretel," you huff, grabbing yourself a drink before turning to retreat to your room. But Gajeel had gotten up and stood in your way. "Move."

"No."

"Gajeel," you warned.

" (Y/n)."

Pantherlily, still on the couch, piped in, "Comfort eating is not a recommended remedy to a bad day, (Y/n)."

"He's right," Gajeel agreed, crossing his arms. "What's up, Tiny?"

You started to tense up, cheeks slowly beginning to puff out, your eyebrows began to twist, you begin to crush the box of cookies, and tears slowly well in your eyes. Gajeel got nervous, you were about to blow and he didn't wanna know if he'd be able to handle it. But before you could burst, you only deflated, your muscles once tense had loosened. Not being able to meet his eyes, your head went limp and faced the floor.

"Just..." you trailed off. "...a bad day. Nothing went right and I only seemed to be in the way..."

Bracing yourself for what could only be something else to skew your day, you closed your eyes. Surely he was going to point out your messy hair or make fun of the stain on your shirt, or even how one of your shoes were untied. However, your were surprised by the soft weight on your head. Looking up, you see it's Gajeel's rough hand. His face was stiff, but the twitch in his brow and the small almost unnoticeable blush on his cheeks gave away that he was unsure of this action.

"You did your best though, right?" He asked, not breaking eye contact. You nodded. Despite having troubles thrown your way, you did indeed persevere and do your best.

"Then you did good," Gajeel gave you a crooked smile. "A day faced head-on is a day well spent."

Looking at him incredulously, you let his words sink in. For someone pretty dumb, he can be awfully smart sometimes. Your lack of response began to make Gajeel nervous, worried he said something wrong or dumb. But you had leaned forward and wrapped him into an embrace, nuzzling into his shoulder. Returning your hug, Gajeel rested his chin on your head, and you noticed that his hold was tight and protective.

"You're dumb," You mumble into him. But before he could get offended, you continued, "but I really needed that right now. So .. thank you."

"Hah!" Gajeel hawed, getting a big head, "Ya, well, of course! I'm the best!"

 Chapter 5.3 - The Fairy Tail Race

You could hear the bells from your room in Fairy Hills, leaving you to open a portal from your room to the rafters of the guild hall.

Gildarts was coming back.

Which meant an artifical earthquake as all the buildings were rearranged so a route could be made so Gildarts didn’t destroy everything with his crash magic as you sat in the rafters using your gravity magic to stay put as everyone conversed.

“Well I’m outta here, you guys!” Gildarts replied before heading straight through a wall, using his crash magic to make his own door.

“Jeez, it’s been three years but he’s still destroying the place.” You whispered from your place in the rafters before Master Makarov spotted you.

“Y/n? Shouldn’t you be studying?” Makarov asked, leaving you to just sigh before waving as you jumped through a portal back into the library.

“Hey Erza, where does Y/n study? All I’ve figured out is that she doesn’t study in the guild or her room at Fairy Hills.” Lucy asked as Erza turned to face her.

“Honestly, I’m not entirely sure, Y/n disappears a lot but she’ll appear for food or when someone needs her, usually. Y/n’s required to study a lot more because of her magic and I assume because of the conditions that the master found Y/n when she was two years old.” Erza explained, leaving Lucy to sigh.

“So Y/n’s some sort of magic prodigy?”

“More like, Y/n was born with a lot of magical power and it made her sick, so the master sealed most of her powers behind three seals. One of those seals was broken during the Battle of Fairy Tail, but Y/n’s constantly training so the magic won’t overwhelm and kill her when all three seals are broken. Or something like that anyway.” Happy explained before Natsu called him to leave.

“Damn, that got dark fast...” Lucy remarked as Erza sighed.

“Dark or not, there is truth in his statement.”

You’d been studying for long enough that you’d fallen asleep in the library, your head on the desk infront of you as Hibiki just sweatdropped.

“Y/n, it’s morning, you should head back to your guild before Master Makarov gets concerned.” Hibiki explained as he woke you up, leaving you to yawn before getting up with a nod.

“Okay, later, Hibiki.” You replied, opening a portal to head into Magnolia and it’s pouring rain as your skin tingled in warning.

“What’s going on?” You whispered, glancing up towards the dark grey clouds of the sky as the rain continued to pour down.

“Something’s wrong... really wrong...” You muttered, breaking into a run as a f/c aura surrounded you as you did so.

Your running ceased as you spotted a cloaked figure with blue hair.

“Wait, Mystogan?”

The blue haired cloak looked up at you as you looked up at the sky.

“What’s going on? It feels like Magnolia is being pulled into a black hole!” You shouted before the pulling increased and Magnolia ceased to exist.

The ground was sandy under your feet as you stood up, your magic wearing off as you looked around.

“What... where is everyone? Everything?” You panicked before Mystogan just stood up, leading you somewhere.

“Hey, where are we going?” You asked as Mystogan passed you a red sphere to consume.

“We’ve found you Fairy Tail!” 

Natsu, Wendy, Edolas Lucy, Happy and Carla all looked shocked as they spotted the Edolas Royal Army grabbing you and Earth Land Lucy.

“OPEN GATE OF THE SCORPION,  SCORPIO!” Lucy yelled, summoning Scorpio as you used your magic to break free of the foot soldiers.

“Lucy, Y/n?” Natsu asked, leaving you and Earth Land Lucy to run over, Earth Land Lucy freezing in shock as she spotted Edolas Lucy.

“What’s going on? Wait, you guys can’t use your magic?” You asked, leaving Lucy to just turn around and face the soldiers.

“You know what that means, I’m the strongest mage in Fairy Tail.” Lucy began, leaving you to scowl.

“Quit fantasising and help us out!” Natsu exclaimed in anger, leaving you to just sigh.

“NOW OPEN GATE OF THE RAM, ARIES!” Lucy shouted, summoning Aries to help whilst you focussed your magic to create a f/c orb of spatial energy.

“Hey, catch!” You shouted, flinging the orb as everyone began to run.

“You want to tell us how you two were even able to get to Edolas in the first place?” Natsu enquired as everyone sat in the middle of a forest, but it wasn’t a usual Earth Land forest, this forest reminded you of a book you’d read, Alice in Wonderland.

“Horologium rescued me just in time and Y/n turned up with Mystogan after she sensed the spatial disturbance. Mystogan gave us the run down of what’s been going on.” 

“He gave us these weird red sphere pills before he blasted us through the hole in the sky and we landed in Edolas and started searching for anyone we knew.” You added, glancing around at everyone.

“What the hell is that?” You murmured before Wendy shoved you and everyone else behind a podium.

“Is that an airship?”

“The royal army are there!”

“They’re talking about our friends.” Natsu growled as Wendy peeked her head out to look.

“The magic extraction is in two days, we’ll never get there in time in foot.” Lucy realised as Carla said something but you didn’t hear as your focus was on the airship.

“We’re going to have to steal that ship.”

“Did you forget your motion sickness?” You asked Natsu at his idea to steal a vehicle.

“With Wendy’s spell I’ll be fine-”

“Did you forget we don’t have our magic?” Wendy asked, leaving Natsu to wither. “We’ll find a different way-”

“There’s no time, we’ll take it by force.” Lucy announced, leaving you to just facepalm.

Next thing you knew, you and Lucy were charging all the guards to get on that airship.

Until Virgo appeared instead of Loke and decided to take down the guards with interpretive dance.

“Oh fudge nuggets, get off me!” You shouted as the guards had managed to grab all of you until a noise caught Natsu’s attention.

After running into Edolas Natsu, he drove the lot of you across the country since the airship had gotten away.

Until he threw you out of his car because he couldn’t afford to drive you lot any further due to the expense of magical fuel and how finite it is.

Of course none of you were expecting Edolas Natsu to A) not get motion sick or B) Be terrified of everything if he’s outside of his car.

“Hey, guys, I think you should see this!” You announced, distracting everyone from Edolas Natsu.

“Is that the place?” Lucy asked, turning to look as Happy stood infront of you both.

“I think it’s the Royal City!” Happy exclaimed, leaving you to just nod in agreement.

“C’mon, let’s go!” Natsu exclaimed, the five of you beginning to walk towards the Royal City, leaving Edolas Natsu behind.

“Hey, guys, it looks like there’s something going on over here!” Wendy exclaimed, calling you all over.

“Are they having a parade or something?” Lucy asked as you all walked over to Wendy. “I have a bad feeling...” you whispered to Carla who just nodded in agreement.

Your eyes widened as you spotted the source of your bad feeling.

A giant lacrima that was full of all of Fairy Tail’s mages and the town of Magnolia.

“A fanatical king with the lives of all our friends in his hands...” You whispered, your fists clenching with rage.

Even with Carla’s plan to sneak into the castle, you had your doubts and time was running out for the Fairy Tale mages in the giant lacrima.

“We should be arriving at the entrance to the tunnel any moment now!” Carla explained, the six of you following the map Carla had drawn.

“I find it ironic that the fire mage couldn’t even make a spark!” Carla complained as Natsu and Lucy ran around trying to make torches and eventually fire.

So, the six of you were walking down the tunnel with an eventual dead end.

“OPEN GATE OF THE GOLDEN BULL, TAURUS!” 

Taurus managed to punch the dead end out, revealing the passage in front of you all.

Your eyes widened as the mine shaft tunnel changed into a luminscent mushroom cave tunnel.

That was until a weird glue grabbed all of your teammates, but your gravitational magic enabled you to dodge it and continue to until you were grabbed by someone you weren’t expecting.

Erza Nightwalker.

Of course, she caught you off guard, knocking you out for the weird glue to grab you and drag you away with Lucy, Wendy and Natsu whilst Carla and Happy were left behind.

Because you were unconscious, you didn’t see Erza Nightwalker and the entire load of Royal Army soldiers kneel at Happy and Carla’s feet.

You woke up, alone and in a cell. Your hands and feet stuck together by the same weird spider web glue as before.

As you glanced up, a shadow lingered over your face and your eyes met those of Erza Nightwalker.

“Erza...” you murmured, images of Erza grabbing and knocking you out fluttering in your head, causing shock and fear to run down your spine.

Erza Scarlet would never hurt you like that.

This wasn’t your Erza, this was a monster. A Fairy Hunter.

You were so pent up with your fear of Erza Knightwalker that your claustrophobia took a momentary back seat.

From what you could hear outside, Lucy had escaped with Happy and Carla. Now, the Fairy Hunter was coming for you.

Luckily, you had a skill that you couldn’t remember who had taught you but you’d known it as long as you could remember.

Dislocating your thumbs to escape the spider web glue around your wrists... that was easier said than done due to how sticky it was but Erza was approaching. 

After a minute of struggle and you using your feet to try pull your wrists free, you managed to get the ties stuck to your boots instead.

“Damn, and I liked those boots too.” You whined before discarding them and opening a portal with one thing in mind.

“Hey you three, what’s- that’s a lot of exceeds!” You exclaimed, appearing in the air through your portal with added gravitational magic as Happy held into Lucy and Carla hovered with them.

“Y/n? Where’d you come from?” Happy asked, you were about to open your mouth to explain when Carla interrupted you.

“There’s no time, we have to get inside immediately!” leading the four of you to fly out of the way of the blasts and inside to find Natsu and Wendy.

“Lucy, don’t let your guard down, she may have Erza’s face and voice but she’ll never hold a candle to our Erza. This woman infront of us is a sadist bitch and our Erza is going to put soap in my mouth later, I just know it... yikes...” You growled before a blast send all four of you backwards.

“My orders said nothing about taking you alive, so it seems that there’s only one option.” Erza Knightwalker smirked before Happy’s yell caught your attention from your spot on the ground as he flew at Erza.

The explosion that followed left you and Carla hovering above the mess, Carla holding Lucy, who was holding Happy, as the four of you stared down at what was once the floor.

Happy had diverted a chunk of the guards to follow him using a facade of flour as poison gas but Knightwalker still managed to stop you, Lucy and Carla.

“I won’t let you hurt Carla, not as long as I’m still alive.” Happy growled after he’d been caught, the smirk on Knightwalkers face made you want to be sick but instead, you pushed yourself upwards, ready to throw yourself infront of Happy. But that wasn’t needed as the temperature of the room ran cold with ice magic.

“You’ve got some nerve, lady. You know they’re with us and you decided to mess with them anyway!” You never thought you’d be so happy to hear Gray’s voice.

“Anyone who would lay a hand on our fellow guildmembers, will be dealt with accordingly.” Erza Scarlet’s voice made you smile from your spot on the floor.

“You’ve made a big mistake, because now, you’re on Fairy Tail’s bad side and you should have known better than to mess with us!” Gray shouted as Lucy’s eyes softened in relief.

“Gray!” Lucy exclaimed as the fog of ice cleared, revealing the two Earth Land Fairy Tail members.

“Erza!” You shouted, irking Erza Knightwalker even further.

“Erza versus Erza anyone?” You joked quietly, pushing yourself to stand up as Natsu’s voice echoed through the stone corridor, leading to you, Lucy and Gray heading to find Natsu and Wendy with Happy and Karla as Erza Scarlet fought Erza Knightwalker.

“The lacrima in the plaza was you and Erza?”

“It’s all thanks to Gajeel.” Gray explained as the five of you ran down the corridors, continuing to explain as you all ran.

You let out a breath as Gray explained the red spheres that Mystogan had given you and Lucy before, giving one each to Natsu and Wendy so they could finally use their magic.

Of course, Natsu errupting like a volcano and running off wasn’t part of the plan until Wendy explained what was going on.

“The others are in trouble.”

“It’s horrible, the royal army are going to destroy Extalia by crashing the giant lacrima into it!” Wendy panted, struggling between breaths as everyone else looked horrified.

“All our Fairy Tail friends are in danger because the King of Edolas is going to use them as a bomb!”

You all froze as you heard footsteps approaching until Natsu was revealed with a face of terror.

“Did you see that? There were two Erza’s! As if one wasn’t enough, it’s terrifying!” Natsu screamed, going on about a doomed earth until he just fell silent, staring at Gray.

“Are you my Gray or your Gray?”

“Huh, what? Watch it you pyro!” Gray growled leaving Lucy to deadpan.

“It’s our Gray...”

“Huh, you’re the real Gray? Why didn’t you say so?” Wendy asked, leaving Gray to give a look of shock and betrayal as you covered your mouth to stop laughing at his face.

“I mean, you just now noticed?” Carla asked as Wendy just nodded in affirmation.

You were running with Lucy, Natsu and Gray whilst Wendy and Carla headed to Extalia to warn them about the Edolas’ King’s plans to end their species.

“In fact, this layout is so crazy I wouldn’t be surprised if they were hiding an amusement park in here somewhere!” Lucy replied sarcastically as the four of you kept running until you ran into Gray’s back as he and Natsu stopped, staring up at what was infront of them.

“Woo, I was just kidding!” Lucy yelled at the four of you stared up at the amusement park infront of you.

The four of you had began to walk inside when the carousel lit up and activated. You were just standing there listening to Sugar Boy when a boat almost crashed into your heads, courtesy of Hughes.

“I hate to admit it, but we’re desparate. So if anyone get’s in our way, we gotta cut ‘em down!” Hughes declared, brandishing a glowing knife at the four of you from where he stood on the boat.

“What are they yammering about?” Natsu frowned, staring up at Hughes on the boat as you shrugged, not really listening to Hughes or Sugar Boy.

“Incoming!” Lucy exclaimed as pieces of the theme park were heading towards the four of you.

“Got it!” You retorted, throwing the pieces back at them as Gray created an ice shield.

“Where’d that ice come from? So these earthland freaks use magic just like exceeds do?”

“Uh, fancy helping us out Y/n?” Lucy deadpanned as she realised you were using your gravity magic to float above the ground Sugar Boy was manipulating.

“Nah, Gray has a plan.” You shrugged, watching as Gray eventually threw Lucy towards Natsu stuck on the rollercoaster, then ice-make a grappling hook to get out of the floor.

“Huh, Lucy and Natsu crashed in the water...” You realised to yourself, about to hover over when Sugar Boy caught your attention.

“Y/n, go help Lucy out, I’ve got this.” Gray instructed as you opened a portal, stepping through it quickly.

“Hey, Lucy, how’s it going- oh it’s going like that is it? Wait, who are you?” You raised an eyebrow at Coco after spotting Virgo and Lucy conversing.

“Y’know, if only Natsu and Erza were here, we could turn it into calamari. Wait, I think that’s squid?” You frowned, hovering above the ground as Virgo carried Lucy away from the tentacles attacking.

“Finally, Natsu’s here to barbeque the thing!” You exclaimed as you and Lucy worked on attacking the giant octopus.

“Listen up you guys, there’s no need for you worry about mister big-chin here, this one’s all mine. Everything else is up to you!” Gray declared as he flew over everyone on a motorbike, chasing after Sugar Boy.

“We gotta catch up to them-” Natsu began before the floor began to sink under you, Lucy and Natsu, pulling the three of you down as the octopus began to be pulled down too, on top of the three of you.

“On it.” Your voice was muffled by the octopus as you began to use your magic, freeing Natsu as he ran off, whilst Coco helped you and Lucy out.

“They’re firing up the dragon chain canon!” Coco exclaimed as you, her and Lucy began to sprint through the kingdom.

“Hey you guys, quick get on it’s back!” Lucy ordered as she flew the winged creature through the wall.

“Holy cow, they turned you into a monster!” Natsu yelled before spotting you and Lucy sat on the head of the creature.

“Hey, Erza! C’mon guys!” You waved, gesturing for the others to hurry over.

“Y/n! Be careful of your magic reserves!” Erza warned as she realised you were trying to pull the lacrima back from crashing into Extalia, pushing yourself beyond ever before.

“Just keep pushing guys!” Gray shouted as he and everyone else continued to push the lacrima away.

“Use every ounce of power you’ve got left!” Erza ordered, as Carla arrived to help, followed by the rest of the exceeds.

“What’s happening?” You murmured, looking over your shoulder for a moment.

“They all came...” Carla realised, looking behind her and watching as all the exceeds from Extalia arrived to save their home.

“LILY!” Mystogan yelled as Erza Nightwalker fired a blast that hit through Panther Lily.

“I’m too low on power, I can’t reach him.. I’m so tired...” You murmured as you were held in the air by a flying exceed, watching through tired eyes as the king began to attack in some sort of enhanced dragon armour.

“Who better to fight a dragon than those trained to defeat them? They’re the only ones that stand a chance. The dragon slayers.” Gray pointed out as Gajeel, Wendy and Natsu went to fight the Edolas King in the dragon armour.

Your eyes widened as Wendy used support spells to increase Natsu and Gajeel’s magic power, realising you’d never seen Wendy use those spells before.

“That’s awesome! and now Gajeel’s eating the dragon and Natsu ate the missile fire... that’s gross...” Your murmurs as the rest of you worked on saving the remaining exceeds left everyone wishing they could smile at how amazed you were. You were still a child after all, a child in an unnecessary war.

A yell left your lips as Coco’s Legion was blasted, sending everyone falling through the sky.

Your body burned as you felt the second seal break, magical power wash over you as you activated your gravity magic to hover in the air.

“How did you-” Gray’s eyes widened but you just stared at Erza fighting Erza, “the second seal broke...”

“Y/n, you look like you need a nap-” Lucy admitted as she, Gray and Coco worked to protect Carla and Happy from the Royal Army.

“Second seal broke, too much magic... I’m sorry...” You murmured as your world began to fade, and everything went black, your body landing on the ground with a thud.

You were unconscious as Mystogan activated the reverse Anima, sending all the magic away from Edolas and into Earthland. The bright lights flooding into the sky as the people of Edolas wept over the loss.

Unsure of who carried your unconscious form back into the Royal City, barely stirring to see Natsu pretending to be a demon called Dragneel. With Wendy and Gajeel pretending to be demons too.

The world was blurry as you watched Mystogan, Prince Jellal of Edolas, go to fight Natsu, Lord Dragneel.

The ringing in your ears meant that you barely heard Natsu giving Mystogan the speech for when someone leaves the Fairy Tail Guild, or Mystogan listing the other two rules as Natsu forgot after the first one.

.Even after Mystogan beat Natsu, you stirred as your body began to glow.

“What’s going on?” Lucy panicked as Gray held you in his arms, glancing over at his hands.

“I have no idea- easy kid, you’re finally awake!” Gray realised as Carla explained.

“The Anima is pulling us out of this world!”

“It looks like the Anima is starting to work in reverse and it’s pushing the magic out of here!” Lucy pointed out as everyone who possessed internal magic power began to be dragged up towards the sky.

“Good luck Edolas!” You croaked out, your body aching too much to wave, but the smile on your face was evident as you said goodbye, and everyone disappeared through the Anima.

A groan left your mouth as Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Gajeel, Wendy, Happy, Carla, and yourself landed in a heap on the outskirts of Magnolia, Earthland.

“We’re back everybody!” Natsu yelled as the world began to spin for you.

“Second seal needs sealing again...” Was all you murmured as Erza caught your collapsing form as you slipped unconscious.

“You must be the two new members I haven’t met yet. The little one looks like Wendy, and the blonde must be Lucy... and that’s... is that Y/n? You’ve grown so much!” Lisanna exclaimed as everyone else realised this was Earthland Lisanna, who had died two years ago. 

Instead, she had been pulled into Edolas after the Edolas version of Lisanna had died.

“Let’s get Y/n to the Master now that Lisanna is back with Mirajane and Elfman.” Erza announced as everyone had watched Lisanna reunite with Mira and Elfman at Kardia Cathedral.

“I think they’re a bit shocked.” You murmured as the entire guild went silent, spotting Lisanna walking in.

“Lisanna, I was so worried. I consider those who have been raised by this guild my own children. Every parent worries about their children. And every parent has faith in their children. You can fill me in on all the details another time. Same for the rest of you... today, we’ll all celebrate your return to Fairy Tail, after I reseal the second seal holding Y/n’s magic, it seems she pushed herself and broke it somehow... fill me in another time.” Makarov stated as he spotted your frail form.

A/N: This is short and sweet but I hope you enjoy it nontheless. Also, yes, I headcanon Gajeel to be one of those big, lumbering, clumsy men who doesn’t realize how loud he’s actually being until someone points it out. Anyway, love to all as always!

The throbbing in my skull seems to get worse as I roll over in bed and bury further under the covers. Suddenly, the front door slams downstairs causing me to jump and my head to hurt even worse. “Hey, you know (Y/n) has a migraine today. Be easy on the doors,” comes Laxus’s voice as it floats up the stairs with him soon followed by quiet shuffling outside the bedroom door. I can faintly hear Gajeel still grumbling downstairs when Lax opens the bedroom door and scoots into the room, closing it behind him. He makes his way over to the bed as I look up at him with pleading eyes. He pats my shoulder gently, “Let me change into more comfortable clothes, and then I’ll join you.”

“Can you have Gaj bring up some more medicine and water and maybe snacks too when he comes?” I beg. He nods as he walks over to the closet with his phone in his hand, probably sending Gaj a text instead of yelling like he normally would. Lax quickly changes into sweats before lifting my blankets to slide under and tugging me close into his side. I’m just drifting off to sleep again when I hear the muffled thumps of Gajeel’s footsteps coming up the stairs and heading in our direction. He swings the door open and steps in but with a stern glare from Lax he shuts the door as gently as possible.

Gajeel drops the medicine, bottles of water, and snacks on the bed before going to the closet to change his own clothes. Lax sits up and grabs the medicine and a bottle of water and drops out two of the small tablets into the palm of his hand before handing it to me. I patiently wait for him to crack open the bottle of water and hand it to me before taking the medicine, desperately hoping it will ease the migraine storming around in my head.

Gajeel joins us on the bed as Laxus carefully pulls me to sit between his legs before he runs hands over my shoulders, neck, and back, working diligently to ease out any knots. Gaj lays his head over in my lap so I run my fingers through his thick, fluffy hair. I welcome the comforting weight. If he could, I’m sure by the look on his face, he’d be purring. Soon, Lax halts the back massage before grabbing his phone and connecting to the Bluetooth speaker to play some soft rock at a low volume.

As Laxus resumes his work on the knots in my back, Gajeel begins humming softly along to the music drifting through the speakers. By this point, I’m not sure if it’s the medicine kicking in or simply the presence of my amazing boyfriends but the ache in my head begins to dull out some. I lay back against Lax’s chest causing him to stop the massage and wrap his arms around me. Soon, I drift off to sleep to the sounds of Gaj’s humming and the beat of Lax’s heart.

I noticed last minute that you wanted this short and I kinda failed at that part heh but in my defense i heard  they are less than 1000 words so enjoy!

It was a quiet night. The sky was clear, and the stars were shining bright. Fairy Tail had a massive celebration in the newly built guild hall after defeating Phantom Lord, and you were just heading home for bed after having a grand old time. 

It was odd being in a new guild. You were apart of Phantom Lord for years; it was where you met your boyfriend, Gajeel. Your grumpy Iron Dragon Slayer boyfriend who was currently fighting some of your new guildmates. You placed your hand over your new guild mark, smiling to yourself.

Yes, you were just fighting these people a few weeks ago, but you felt a sense of joy that you hadn’t felt in a while. This guild was seemed to be the family you never had at Phantom Lord. You liked being in your old guild, but you never felt happy there. No one seemed to care for each other the way Fairy Tail does. When Master Makarov approach you, Gajeel and Juvia about joining Fairy Tail, you didn’t think you would be accepted due to what happened. Still, somehow Makarov managed to convince you to join. 

 No one was happy when you all walked in. People were questioning the Master’s choice and saying you weren’t good people. It hurt a bit, but you knew this would happen. You almost walked out that day, but Gajeel grabbed your arm and stopped you.

Now a few weeks later, you were here. A smile on your face and a sense of carefreeness along with it. You were debating on going back to get your boyfriend, but he would be fine, possibly. 

Out of the corner of your eye, you saw something moving in the bushes. You quickly turned your head to get a full look, and it suddenly stopped moving. 

“Hello?” you called out cautiously. 

You stood there, staring at a bush. You felt stupid, but you wanted to know what was hiding.   

“Hello?” You called out again. Nothing, so you shook it off and kept walking home. 

After being further away, you felt something become tight around your throat. A hand covered your mouth as you tried to get what was on you off. 

“This is what traitors deserve.” They whispered in your ear. You recognized that voice. Suddenly you felt a sharp pain go through your left side, you tried to scream but couldn’t. 

“Get off of them!” Another man angrily yelled, and you recognized who it was. 

The man was ripped off of you, and the rope around your throat was released. You fell to your knees, gasping for air. Holding your throat, you turned to see who attempted to kill you. 

“Dai?” It was your old guildmate, Dai Tanaka. A hot-headed asshole who you were forced to get along with, you never a fan of him.

“It’s me, princess.” He grinned at you, ready to fight. 

Gajeel stepped in front of you before Dai could do anything else to you and taking the blow. 

“Gajeel!’ You yelled as he was thrown to the side. 

You fell onto your butt, it was hard to move due to your wound, but you tried pushing yourself away from your ex-guildmate. 

Dai rose his hand, ready to hit but was interrupted by Gajeel, who knocked him to the ground. He continued by grabbing onto Dai’s foot and tossing him around like a rag doll. You shielded your face as the rubble went flying at the impact. 

“Gajeel! I think he’s good!” You shouted, but he ignored you, continuing to do immense damage. 

“Gajeel! Stop!” You yelled. He gave him one last blow in the gut before looking at you. You were lying on the ground, clenching your side while you stared at him, worried.  

“I’m good! He’s good!” Gajeel looked down at where Dai laid unconscious. He looked back to you and rushed to your aid. 

“You are definitely not okay!” He ripped a piece of your shirt to wrap around your body. He lifted your bridal style as he rushed back to the guildhall. 

Your eyes began to feel heavy, and your head was spinning. “Y/n, you gotta stay with me!” 

“I’m trying,” you mumbled, “I’m just starting to feel tired.” 

Gajeel quickened his pace. You need medical attention fast. A crowd of people formed because of the noise and destruction, but he was quickly pushing past them. 

“Outta my way!” He shouted. That was the last thing you heard before passing out. 

Your eyes open and groaned at the brightness of the room. 

“Y/n?” 

“I’m alive?” You questioned as your eyes adjusted. 

You tried sitting up, but your boyfriend stopped you. He let out a chuckle, “Yes, you are you, idiot.” 

“Dang it,” you joked. 

The memories of last night flowed back to you, “Thank you for coming to my rescue.” you smiled at him.

“Comes with the whole dating package, I guess.” 

You let out a laughed and leaned your head on his shoulder. 

“My hero.”

Around you all you heard was laughter and happiness. Everyone was drinking and celebrating everything that had happened in Edolas, all happy to have everyone back within the guild. Sadly you couldn’t drink as you had a job the next day so it was your job when someone fell asleep you had to get them to bed. So you sat up the stairs in S class section to watch everything going on below, you were wearing a blue and white top with a matching skirt. With everything that happened in Edolas you didn’t feel like partying about it and because of that you hid away so everyone else would at least enjoy themselves, all you really wanted was to go to bed but you had made a promise to Mira Jane to watch over everyone. You’re eyes caught Gajeel’s making your breath catch as his steel like eyes bore into yours, (y/n) tore her face away looking down feeling her face get really warm. That was the thing since Gajeel had joined from Phantom Lord you had always been such an idiot in front of him, that was until you ended up in Edolas with him. You had found his Edolas counterpart first which freaked you out but you got over it when you discovered it wasn’t him and soon over time you both found the real Gajeel and you both worked together to save Magnolia and Fairy Tail.

The harvest festival was one of your favourite times of the year for as long as you could remember and, since you officially jointed Fairy Tail a few years ago, you were able to participate in the Fantasia Parade with the rest of your guild.

Of course, right now you were running around outside looking at all the booths in Magnolia as the Miss Fairy Tail Contest occurred in the guild hall.

That was until the stampede of people running from it got your attention as you portalled into the rafters of the guild, watching.

There was something about Evergreen that made your skin crawl, but seeing Erza, Mirajane, Levy, Juvia, Bisca, Lucy and Cana turned to stone with Evergreen’s power made you feel a pit in your stomach you usually would force down inside of you.

You would have forced it down again if it wasn’t for Laxus threatening to smash the statues of your role models and guild family to pieces if everyone didn’t obey his rules.

Laxus was trying to stage a coup and overthrow his grandfather as Master of the guild.

You grimaced as you watched Laxus take Natsu down with one lightning strike.

“LET THE BATTLE OF FAIRY TAIL BEGIN!” You could hear Laxus but not see him as he left in a bright flash of lightning, the Thunder Legion also all gone in the same flash of light.

“Max vs Warren, the winner is Warren. Vijeeter vs Nab, the winner is Nab. Laki defeats four others. Macao vs Wakaba in progress.” Happy announced, leaving you to sigh as you sat on the rafters, watching.

“Time remaining 2 hours and 18 minutes. Participants remaining 43.” Happy read off the invisible wall.

“That can’t be all that’s left, that means that more than half the guild has wiped itself out in less than an hour!” Makarov exclaimed in shock.

“Evergreen vs Elfman, the winner is Evergreen, Elfman KO’d.” 

“Ahhh, now it says that Gray is fighting against Bickslow, why’s he got to hog all the fun!” Natsu huffed, his fists clenched in anger.

“Freed is fighting against Reedus, the Thunder Legion is really making their move!” Happy added as he flew above Natsu and Master Makarov.

You grimaced for what felt like the hundredth time as Natsu lunged at the thought projection of Laxus and as Gajeel walked into the invisible wall too.

“DON’T TELL ME YOU’RE OVER EIGHTY, TOO!” Natsu yelled at Gajeel who bellowed back “DO I LOOK EIGHTY TO YOU?”

“Only three left in the guild!” Makarov exclaimed in horror as Natsu and Gajeel began to argue again.

“No way, you’re the only ones left? Whose the third- Y/n? What are you doing here!” Makarov exclaimed as you portalled down from the rafters.

“So, what’s the plan, gramps?” You enquired, folding your arms as you stared down at your Master.

“I suppose it would help if you had your full powers-”

“What do you mean full powers? She’s eleven!” Gajeel yelled causing you to just grimace.

“Looks like I’ve got no choice, guess I’ll bring Erza back.” Natsu announced, making everyone look confused.

Letting out a screech, you stared in horror at the crack that appeared on Erza’s face as Natsu put his fire hands near her.

“I DIDN’T MEAN TO BREAK HER, SOMEONE GET ME THE GLUE! QUICK, HAPPY, GLUE!”

“DO WE HAVE GLUE?” Happy flew around in horror, looking as you sat with your hands behind Erza’s head in an attempt to stop Natsu from dropping her on the floor in his panic.

“THAT’S NOT GONNA DO ANYTHING YOU IDIOT, WE GOTTA USE YOUR FIRE AND MY IRON TO WELD HER BACK TOGETHER!” Gajeel yelled as Natsu panicked even more.

“ERZA NO!” Master cried as Erza began to crack more until the stone effect wore off. You, the two dragon slayers and Master Makarov jumped back in terror.

“I feel hot...” Erza whispered, glancing around before a scowl appeared on her face that had all four of you jumping further back in fear. 

“It was you, wasn’t it? Were you trying to cook me?!” Erza yelled as she sent Natsu flying with one punch.

“Thank goodness, but how was the spell broken?” Makarov asked, leaving Erza to glance down as she felt you hugging her side.

“Honestly, I’m not quite sure, but if I had to guess, I’d say it had something to do with my right eye.” Erza admitted, remembering her artifical eye.

“Alright, it’s time to strike back-”

“Wait, it says there’s five participants!” Happy announced, leaving Makarov to stare in realisation.

“But who could it be?” Natsu asked as everyone turned around to look at the remaining statues.

“The girls are still frozen so it can’t be them-” the Master explained, leaving Erza to smirk.

“Aren’t you all forgetting someone?”

“Someone want to fill me in over here?” Gajeel asked leaving you to answer.

“Mystogan. Potentially one of the strongest in Fairy Tail.” Gajeel just nodded before glancing up at the participant number again.

“Wait, are they expecting an eleven year old to fight? She’s tiny, what is she supposed to do against the Thunder Legion?” Gajeel exclaimed but the glare you gave him rivalled Erza’s glares, much to her amusement as she patted you on the head afterwards.

“I’m going to go out there before they try make me have a death wish.” You announced, opening a portal behind you to step back into.

“What ever could she mean?” Erza asked as she headed over to the guild’s exit.

“Y/n once said to Hibiki Lates that to fight you would be to have a death wish, I think she is refering to being forced to fight you, Erza.” Makarov explained, leaving Erza to sigh, nodding to the three remaining people in the guild hall, she ran into the fray of Magnolia.

“Damn.” You whispered under your breath as you watched Erza take down Evergreen.

“Language!” Erza growled, making you freeze from your spot on the rooftops until you spotted the flying lacrima.

“Erza, is that what I think it is?”

Lucy and Loke had defeated Bickslow and destroyed a bit of Magnolia in the process. Of course.

“Damn, well done Lucy!” You shouted before portalling away at the sound of another explosion and a flash of lightning that caught your eye.

By the time you arrived, Juvia and Cana were down, Elfman was being tortured physically and Mirajane emotionally.

“What the hell-”

“Language Y/n, and I’d stay back if I were you, or you’ll be the next to face me!” Freed warned, leaving you standing on the bridge with that familar pit in your stomach that you had before.

“She’s a child!” Mira shouted, tears running down her face as you looked at her before glaring at Freed.

“The final Dark Écriture. Death.”

Everything went silent at Freed’s announcement, Mira had stilled as the latter word that Freed said echoed in the air.

Death.

Flashbacks to Lisanna Strauss’ death and funeral reflecting in your eyes and the eyes of Lisanna’s older sister, Mira, as Elfman was threatened with his death by Freed’s hand.

“He’s so screwed now.” You murmured to yourself as the wind went cold, the earth shaking as magical power began to flow from Mira’s body, her hair floating in the air in its intensity.

Mira’s screams echoed in your ears before you portalled to pull Cana, Elfman and Juvia away from the fight scene.

Freed just pissed off The She Devil. Satan Soul.

The purple light from the explosion that took Freed down could be seen across Magnolia, as you held up Cana whilst Elfman had Juvia in his arms.

“Holy-”

“Aye, language!” Cana warned, making you just shrug.

“What did you ex- I know where he is.” You announced, interrupting yourself as Cana removed her weight from you to stand up alone.

“What are you- Y/n, you’re not match for Laxus, get back here!” Cana shouted as you opened a portal and stepped into it, dodging Cana trying to grab you in the process.

Laxus was so angry that you could sense the amount of lightning radiating off of him, even with you far away from Kardia Cathedral.

Of course your instincts were confirmed with the explosion from the Cathedral, Mystogan and Laxus were fighting.

You didn’t arrive in time to deflect the lightning attack that blasted Mystogan’s mask off, his face revealed and identity blown.

Jellal.

“I’m sorry. I must be going.” You stared in confusion as Mystogan disappeared into thin air, leaving you standing behind Erza and Natsu.

“Well, well, well, the Child of The Galaxy finally joins the party, I’ll be honest, I thought you’d be cowering in the rafters of the guild for the entire battle like the child you are.” Laxus taunted you, earning glares from Erza and Natsu but your focus went solely on the lightning mage.

“You’re the child here, this entire Battle of Fairy Tail crap is one big tantrum because you want to be guildmaster, yet, Master Makarov is worth a hundred of you!” You shouted, trying not to flinch at the lightning eminating from Laxus in his rage.

“We’ll see about that!” Laxus yelled, aiming a lightning attack at you, much to the horror and anger of Erza and Natsu.

The three of them weren’t expecting you to be able to dodge it through a portal, appearing behind Laxus to hit him with an dark f/c space energy orb, hitting him in the back of the head enough that he stumbled forwards.

Of course you didn’t expect to get blasted into Erza, who was still in shock over seeing Mystogan’s face being the same as Jellal’s.

You’d managed to get away from Erza before she knocked you out like she did Natsu to go up against Laxus.

“Y/n, go!” Erza shouted but you just glared, trying to tap into your gravity magic that Kagura had been teaching you.

“Now, now, Y/n, listen to her, or do you want another taste of my lightning?” Laxus taunted, leaving you to just glare at him as you began to hover.

That was until Natsu grabbed you and pulled you away.

“I told you two, I was going to be the one, to fight, Laxus!” Natsu shouted, handing you over to Erza like you were a balloon tied to a string.

“Come on, Y/n, let’s go take down the Thunder Palace.” Erza explained, carrying you over her shoulder as you watched Natsu and Laxus go smaller and smaller.

“You two better make it back alive!” Natsu shouted, leaving you to deadpan.

“We’ll try our best!”

Erza stood away from you as she began to summon every weapon in her requip arsenal to take down the Thunder Palace, with less than two minutes left and the entirity of Magnolia at stake, the bit in your stomach was growing and now forming a tightness in your chest.

It was getting harder for you to breathe as your vision went dark.

You didn’t hear Warren’s telepathy, meaning Erza was barely able to glance at you and see the state you were in.

But everyone saw how the sky went dark and the warped tear in space that was much larger than any other portal you’d opened. The rip swallowing up a chunk of the Thunder Palace lacrima next to the 200 that Erza was taking out.

You were on the ground before the body link magic had any effect, but the lightning still hit you, leaving you there as all of Fairy Tail yelled out at the lightning strikes.

You were barely awake as Erza reached out to you, her face falling into shock as she saw your smile.

The two of you weren’t able to move as the blinding light of Fairy Law swept over Magnolia, lying in watch as it enshrouded everything and everyone, helpless.

“So... was something supposed to happen with Laxus casting Fairy Law or did he just want a dramatic light show?” You choked out from the ground next to Erza who glanced down at you in worry.

“I’m not sure, no doubt Natsu can handle it though.” She replies, crouching down to help you up.

“I thought Master Makarov sealed most of your powers.” Erza states, leaving you to just weakly shrug.

“I think one of his three magic seals was broken when Laxus decided to give him a heart attack. I had enough to destroy the lacrima by portalling them off the planet though.” You replied, so casually that Erza didn’t register what you had said until moments later.

“You portalled them where?!”

You just chuckled at Erza’s shock, eyes fluttering before they fell shut, the explosions from the cathedral going unheard by you as you slipped unconscious.

Mira woke you up the next day to get ready for the Fantasia Parade.

You were standing above Erza’s float, manipulating the sky to show the cosmos of stars above, amplified by the glowing light of the fireworks until it was time for Laxus’ farewell signal.

Raising your hand into the air, you almost fell off the float due to being so high up before you felt gravity magic nudge you back up.

Only then did you make eye contact with Kagura Mikazuchi in the crowd along with some other Mermaid Heel members.

Kagura’s face was calm and almost blank but her eyes gave her away with a flash of happiness that left you grinning as you stood on the float, fireworks crackling in the sky above you.
