Hey there! I was wondering if you had any favorite festive Bagginshield fics! Modern Christmas or Hanukkah or Thanksgiving, or Hobbit-era Yule or harvest festivals... anything that isn't too sad! I'm asking around to different blogs because I have been in a holiday mood lately and want to see what different people have come across!

I definitely have read some in the past that I absolutely loved but I can’t remember any names as it was last Christmas, however!

I did recently read a fic called A New Home for Christmas by Saraste. It’s rlly cute and does include some smut but it’s not a big thing in it. But I absolutely loved it it was amazing! ^_^

One I’m also currently reading is Christmas Date by Gaaladrieel. I don’t know exactly what it’s about as I’ve just started reading it but I know Thorin and Bilbo meet in a coffee shop.

Hey @gaaladrieel I didn’t write that, you know I’m too much of a language pedant to misuse accents XDDD I know good men exist, I don’t have time for anything less. I just haven’t found mine yet ಠ_ಠ (I’m convinced he’s stuck in a tree somewhere). Until then I will scream at you about the Apo guys and Hatari guys.... Just right now cannot stop screaming about Matti..... I mean who does that bitch-faced fuck think he is, being so precious with his love poems about boundaries and being good with kids/dogs and being a caring son/brother/cousin/boyfriend/human being in general. FUCK. Sorry Eicca but I think today Matthías has won the award for making me want to throw furniture out of adoration-frustration :’D

Thank you!!! I never thought I would do this and I was just really, really lucky the night I went. Because looking at other photos from other nights, it was really “empty” when I went. So thank you. Your positive experiences are one of the reasons why I even tried getting over myself. :)

After reading the latest chapter of Tourist Trap, I haven't known what to do with my evenings.. On top of that, I've been in such a bagginshield mood this week it's silly. "Did I ever tell you of the dreams I have?"

The question was a rhetorical one, one murmured into the darkness of the pre-dawn when The Shire was quiet and sleepy still. Fat white snowflakes fell outside and muffled the world as if wrapping it in a thick down duvet.

Thorin had never before mentioned his dreams and he knew this well enough. He had not had the courage before; having seen the reaction such confessions had earned him in the past.

Now however, living a life of peace and all his battles won, Thorin felt a desire to share this secret about himself with one that he loved and trusted above most others.

There was a shift of fabric as Bilbo turned to face Thorin beneath the covers, accompanied by a quiet snuffle as the hobbit wriggled his nose and reluctantly opened his eyes.

"Hm, let me guess… of blackberry pie and breakfast in bed?" Bilbo's voice was languid with lingering slumber and Thorin had to chuckle at the reply.

"No."

"Then what dreams did you mean?" Bilbo asked around a yawn. Thorin felt a little guilty for having woken him when he noticed this. Bilbo saw the apologetic expression despite the dimness of the room and assuaged it with a quick peck to the tip of Thorin's nose.

The dwarf's smile returned and he reached out to wrap an arm around Bilbo's waist as he hesitated suddenly over answering the question, unsure how to begin.

"Of the future," he began.

If you’re interested in acorn jewellery, that’s a bit more affordable haha check out enchantedleaves. I haven’t bought anything from them yet, but they’ve got so much lovely stuff, lil different from this but, just a lil tip ��

Haha :D But where's the lie. Any time I'm with any of my grandmothers, or especially if I'm with them both and one of my nan's sister, oh my gosh, it's only about how sick they are or someone else, or how terrible this and this is and wow. how.

I guess many old people do it, because it’s sadly a huge part of their lives. The older the get, the more you are affected by it. My aunt certainly is.

She’d rather spent her time with more pleasurable things though. She’s a bundle of optimism, rightful anger, and overall positive energy. She hates self-pity with a vengeance. She’s unstoppable. I often wish I had some of that.

Haa, thank you. The post was queued for a while and by now i have figured out it was Castlevania. However, what I NEVER KNEW was that Richard Armitage speaks here .. DAMN. I love his voice so much? Like even 10 yrs later I still get gooseflesh when Guy of Gisporn says “punish you” .. i guess i have to check it out. SOON :D
