she has like... lovehandles! and she's still not skinny even from the side! (that's my big beef with a lot of "plus size" fashion dolls) and aside from the joints being a little stiffer than the other dolls (which could just be bc she's new) she seems to have just as much articulation as everyone else

crying...... thank you monster high...........

(my only complaint is that her neck looks a bit long proportionally to the rest of her body but that's not a huge deal)

I finally finished (mostly) the micro MICRO braids on G3 Catty. Each one was made up of either one or two hair plugs in order for it to blend in with her factory braids. She really needed to have a full head of braids (we know you can do it Mattel).

I finished sealing them with glue, but I should probably trim up the extra bits at the end that I couldn’t braid.

But if I trim them…I might have to re-seal them…and I’ll lose the length….uggggghhhhh

These are the smallest micro braids I’ve ever done for a doll (my other ones are usually three-four hair plugs).

Edit:

I finished trimming the extra bit on her hair and I didn’t even need to reseal very many of them.

She is so pretty.

So many braids!!!

I should start thinking about making her a luxurious black and pink fur coat.

Sure! (sorry for the… less-than-ideal lighting? i tried to make sure Catty’s features are visible)

And here she is with Draculaura, the other “curvier” body type, as well as Ghoulia, who has the “default” body type. (Seems Catty’s neck is really long compared to everyone else too… interesting)

I got the new G3 Catty Noir on a whim and I absolutely love her!! Her hair isn't the best quality, but it's not near as bad as some of the other G3 dolls the hair is brushable and sits nicely. But I love her body mold, Draculara was allegedly plus sized but Catty is a much better plus sized doll model and she's gorgeous! I repainted her lips a brighter pink than the soft red she came with and like that better, and her backpack is the cutest of all the G3 MH backpacks so far. Her feet are also clearly the standard G3 MH mold so most G3 shoes should fit if they aren't a long boot.
