Smallsound/ Bigsound F*ck Overdrive clone I made.

A comprehensive range of clean boost to blown out amp sounds with this circuit. The sag feature means you can starve the voltage to the distortion when you play hard enough (determined by the threshold and depth). What results is notes that fade and stutter into focus in really interactive ways. I’m excited to try it on drums.

The box I did the swirly water spray paint trick and then used my dremel to grind out the lettering.

I love Crock pedals. My first was a blue TM-2 Thrash Master. Since these were made in such small numbers in early 90’s Ukraine, they are very hard to come by, and my friend in Kyiv seeks them out for me when he can. He sold me the first Thrash Master, and a few other Crock designs that remain some of my favorite pedals. And now he has found this gorgeous white w/red knob Thrash Master color variant that I’m really excited about. On top of this, I got the opportunity to pick up the DOD pedal from which the Crock Thrash Master borrows its name for very cheap. Besides presenting the chance to do a side by side comparison of these two different pedals with the same name, it means I will have three Thrash Master’s in trans flag colors. And that’s pretty fucking fun.

I'v e had my mind on music recently - the writing and making of it and how that translates into what the end listener hears.

There are a few things I've written over the years that once it's come to the stage of sharing it with someone like a producer or cowriter it has changed, and it doesn't always stay the way I want it to. And so, it falls to the wayside for another project to take it place because I can't see a way forward at that point.

Coming back to those songs after a break with fresh is honestly mind-boggling. You start hearing new things and seeing what should change, how it can grow, and how it can be even better. It's refreshing.
