there’s some sort of ax7221 conspiracy going on.

last week there were at least 4 affordable options at different online retailers to buy this guitar used and they all vanished seemingly overnight. how the fuck are all these genuinely not so great guitars getting snatched up. hell half the reason i want one is sentimental purposes only! i’m not trying to djent or anything maybe just play some slightly nastier riffs.

i’ve been trying to get back the same 7 string guitar i had many years ago. finally found someone selling one locally for $85. arrange to pick it up today. and now they’ve decided to keep it.

every single article, post or mention of a Muslim or Latino person on a Visa or Green Card getting dragged off the street by masked men in broad daylight has the same exact comments: "wow, they're gonna start doing this to citizens soon." some of these people have lived here since they were 8 months old and have lived here for over 30 years. it's very telling that Americans are still are managing to separate them in their head from a "citizen" and that their outrage will be far greater when it's someone who "actually lives here" as if 3 decades in the same country shouldn't qualify you for the same rights as everyone else.

okay! details time!

First off, the output to speaker gets sent to a b100k pot instead, which outputs via 1/4”

the internal trimpot gets removed and replaced with leads to a c50k pot on the control box. this makes for easy pitch/time shifts.

there are three separate glitch-bends, a “distortion” bend and a two momentary loops mapped out in the pic:

glitch 1 - orange - on/on toggle

glitch 2 - yellow - on/on toggle (tumblr doesn’t have yellow font?)

glitch 3 - purple - on/on toggle + R * this bend requires a resistor somewhere between 1k-2k. before soldering this one in place, i usually attach each lead to a 5k pot, and adjust until the glitch is fully stable, and measure the overall resistance of the test pot to find the exact value to put inline with the toggle

distortion - blue - on/on toggle **

momentary loops - red - on/on toggle + momentary-on button or toggle **

** the far left red point is the common pin for both momentary loops. the middle, solo red point is the “regular” momentary loop, it will grab and freeze on whatever sound is being played. the half red half blue point is the shared pin between the “violent loop” and the “distortion” bend. when activated the “violent” loop will still grab the outputting sound but in a much more glitchy way. since this pin is shared, you will be unable to use the “violent loop” bend when “distortion” is active. (i can post a pic of wiring in the control box if that helps)

Was looking through your stuff and saw the talking teacher bend, do you happen to remember the points? I have one myself that I've bent and some of the loop switches on yours are really nice.

glad you asked! i love this particular bend. speak n spells are great but the talking teacher has a lot more playable glitches.

it’s like 6am or so and i haven’t actually gone to bed yet so i’m just attaching the two references pics i found in my photos. the one on the left is one i found on a circuit bending forum and the pic on the right are my particular contributions to its bend library. the talking teachers i built had a combo of bends from both images. i’ll go into more details about each of the bends when i’m more awake. especially since i know my diagram on the right doesn’t really make a ton of sense.

ok if u want like endless refreshing beverages that are basically free like, just buying a bit of mint and putting it in ice water is truly a game changer.  started doing this yesterday and i feel noticeably more hydrated altho its kinda chicken/egg because im probably drinking more water because it tastes better.  anyhow, i feel like this is a good thing to give guests if you are entertaining guests too.  

also this isn’t my house its an air bnb so don’t judge the decor i would def put floral wallpaper up if i had weird protruding things on my walls like this and i certainly wouldnt waste time and money framing a picture
