It’s been the formula that new aircraft have followed for decades. But as our understanding of aerodynamics increase, and computing allows us to create greater efficiencies, the actual aircraft shapes could go…

I think the same reason I love Dorym is why I love Loquatious and Laerryn. One, the devotion of it all. But secondly, and more importantly, "But there's one story of a fairy who stumbled into this world and fell in love"

Because Dorian is an air genasi prince who left home to find something real. His home floats on wind and he's never wanted for a thing. And he came down from his clouds only to find himself stumbling, tumbling, into love with just a man.

There is something so earnest about a man who is considered magical and wondrous in a world that already has magic, falling in love with someone who just is.

It's a thought that scratches the back of my mind a lot. It goes hand in hand with Liam saying "he has no idea if Dorian returns his feelings". Because from Orym's point of view why would Dorian have feelings for him? Dorian. The beautiful blue prince who is extremely talented in both music and magic. Dorian is everything Orym admires in other people. Everything he doesn't see in himself.

But Dorian does have feelings for Orym. Because Orym is everything he's not. He's firm and reliable. He knows who he is and is unapologetic about it. Orym was the only one in the (original) Crown Keepers that wasn't tempted by the spider queen. Because he was too principled. He was too good. Dorian's alignment changed. Dorian felt himself getting worse. Yet Orym stayed steadfast. In the face of everything he did not change.

Their pursuits were the same. They wanted to protect their friends. At any cost. But Orym somehow stayed unchanged. He always knew the right way of doing things.

So the handsome prince fell in love with a guard and planned to stay with him until he no longer wanted the company.

I literally said to a friend "I know he leaves. But he is so devoted to Orym I don't know how they're going to get him to."

And it was the one thing neither could argue against. Family. Orym knew about family. He knew about duty.

But even a continent away Dorian couldn't stop thinking about Orym. His little tactician before he was the savior blade. Even when his world came crashing down, Orym called and he went.

Idk. I think there's something beautiful in the way that Dorian loves Orym. I think it is very reminiscent of the fey who stumbled into this world and fell in love. I think it will be a love that will always be with them. That they will have to recover from. A love they might have to mourn before they ever have it.

Even if they never... If there is no love confession, if they have to mourn the loss of the people they thought they were, if there's no way for them to be together; Dorian will always love Orym. In the same way Orym loves Will. First love often lingers.

March 1866

The telescope starts angled down, fixed on the patch of grass where she could watch life go on around her. While her throat is on fire, every other breath a struggle, her friends run around without a care in the world, playing and laughing and heaving exhausted breaths that, admittedly, flare a pang of jealousy in her chest that could even rival the pain.

The entire world goes on out there while she is unable to do much more than sit and languish in this pseudo-prison.

Clara watches sometimes, half-longingly, half out of boredom, and sometimes they catch her all-seeing eyes trained on them. Emily smiles, lifting a branch that has been repurposed into some fantastic tool in a story that she no longer has a part in. Brandon spots the tell-tale shine of a star in the window and grins up at her for a moment until his attention is called elsewhere.

It's all terribly mundane, she realises, detached and observing from her vantage point on-high. The same old thing.

A few days later, she no longer looks down and envies the kids out there. She can’t explain why, but she doesn’t feel like she belongs down there. Not anymore. Maybe she never did.

She has had far too much time to think about that lately.

Sleep doesn’t come easy some nights. When her body isn’t trying to kill her—or at the very least drive her to madness—her mind won’t quiet, taking the brief reprieve to run wild, even at the cost of what little fitful rest she could manage. Clara drags herself over to the window and draws back the curtains, throwing herself onto the chair that she’d set up there by the golden telescope.

The cool air feels wonderful against her flushed skin and Clara reaches for the telescope, pointing it skyward in search of companionship in the stars. The moon winks at her from behind a passing cover of clouds and Clara smiles, waving back at the man on the moon before he disappears.

She wakes the next morning to a violent coughing fit and sand in her throat, folded over uncomfortably in the chair next to her telescope.

Her father brings the kindly older doctor again to check on her, Doctor Hubbard, and she grabs onto her knees to force herself to sit still through the whole affair. He makes all those infuriating, non-committal noises that tell Clara absolutely nothing, pokes at her and gives her the most foul-tasting concoctions to choke down, and though he’s apologetic about it—or at least he appears to be—she still wants to push him away.

He comments about the new position of her telescope. Clara says she found more wonderful, interesting things in the sky.

Clara begs her father for a book about the constellations and after fourteen seconds of being subjected to the most wide-eyed pleading look from his daughter who can barely speak, he agrees, and for a second, she feels as if she could scale mountains.

Two days later, her father slips into her room bearing gifts—a star chart and an old book that may be too difficult for her to read about another world right up there on the moon.

Her telescope finds a permanent place pointed up at the stars.

Renet mention in the comic!! Is it time for her debut?

This is my Renet! She has the inherit ability to look into the future. They are the product of a Yokai/human relationship and abandoned by both worlds being deemed too “human” for Yokai and too strange for humans. Big Mama took her in for her own purposes and kept her locked away.

In the Bad End timeline, she was trained under Master Michelangelo, and eventually, passed on their foresight to him. Shortly after, during a mystic time traveling mayhap, Renet disappeared. This was like 8 years before the end of the world.

Back to the present, Renet appeared maybe a year after Casey. They then went on to train Mikey in the same lessons they had learned from him in the future. And now they are the same age! This was to tie in her “time travelling apprentice” thing!

going back and rewatching dr who s7-2 and it’s so obvious to me that we are supposed to find 11′s single-minded pursuit of the ‘mystery’ of the impossible girl disturbing, and that from the beginning it was a futile pursuit. the backlash from the doctor’s failure on trenzalore turning him into early 12 with his open cynicism and distrust of the fairytales and whimsies that defined 11′s presentation of himself. clara working through her own distrust to create a relationship on equal terms with this new face that is not the one that first showed her the universe but is also not the one that unilaterally pedestalized her. the resulting bilateral codependency going further and further until the hybrid. i just. looking back on it the development of clara and the doctor was so masterful.

yes! of course i haven’t competed in hoenn nearly as often as i’ve competed in sinnoh, but i competed occasionally in both lilycove city and slateport city! actually, back when i was much younger and still competing only in the cute category, it was in lilycove where i competed in my first beauty contest! :)

i’ll actually be guest judging at a charity contest in lilycove tomorrow to close out pride month before i go back on my break to travel around, and i can’t wait to see hoenn again!
