very short headcanons because i missed my girlfriend

vi only follows a small group of exclusive people. her siblings, her friends, the artists she likes especially musicians to keep herself updated on the dates of their comcerts. maybe some meme page, but those are exceptions. she will totally send you posts about said concert dates if she knows you like the band or even posts about the merchandising

vi mostly uses instagram, but she doesn't mind tiktok as long as her fyp is just funny video and edits. definitely not the type of person who cares about the drama. she already has a sister, it's enough

your girlfriend doesn't do social media, at least not like most people. she doesn't see the point in posting stories of you doing your business and food pictures taken while you are patiently waiting for her permission to eat. she would pretend to do it just tease you. her bio... she didn’t want to write that so she only wrote her city and maybe something related to you

What mainly got you to like the Origami siblings so much?

OOH OKAY THIS IS A FUN QUESTION FOR ME. WARNING FOR LOTS OF TEXT!

TL;DR FOR EVERYTHING: I was obsessed with Olivia and Bobby as family to Mario, and just really found interest in how tragic Olly and the siblings are in general. Then, I had my obsession reignited by the dreaded (/j) “Ollys ship”.

Okay, first I gotta say how I got into the game in the first place!!

To make it semi-brief, I got back into my Mario fixation after years of lessened interest by playing Minecraft…. SILLY, RIGHT? Well, I decided I wanted to listen to video game OSTs while I play with my little sister watching, and naturally, Mario games have always consistently had my favorite OSTs— and actually, my two favorite OSTs of all time (even before this story) are the ones for Super Paper Mario and Bowser’s Inside Story! Eventually I decided I’d listen to more Paper Mario music, and then it led to me getting a short-lived fixation on Color Splash.

While I was listening to Color Splash’s OST in early May 2020, I recall telling my sister, “I wonder when they’re going to make a new Paper Mario game, if they will at all. I’d really wanna play it!”

And then not even a week later, PMTOK was announced. IT WAS REALLY FUNNY AND CRAZY TIMING. I was already at the peak of my Paper Mario fixation, so this was perfect!

Basically I was pretty much immediately excited to see two completely original characters in this game. I thought Olly looked really pretty, too, even though at first I wasn’t sure how to feel about the whole origami stuff. Nonetheless, I was OBSESSED. With the whole game. I vividly remember checking the website for it constantly and watching analysis videos of the trailers, as well as gushing over Bobby (before I even knew much about him at all) to my friend on Sky: CotL…. I also had made sure to watch the Nintendo Treehouse livestream for the game. I watched near EVERY trailer online, to the point that when I played the actual game, it felt like almost nothing was new. I had preordered the game too, on my birthday about a month prior to the game’s release. I WOULD CONSTANTLY TALK ABOUT THE GAME, SAYING “You should buy Paper Mario: The Origami King releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch for $59.99 USD on July 17th, 2020” FOR THE FUNNIES. No one I knew was super interested in the game, though, so I was just gushing about it by myself on my private Instagram.

When the game released, I livestreamed myself playing it! And.. my… my first livestream caption 😄😄 was um 😄😄😄😃😄😄

…YEEEAAAH. /J

Again, all silly jokes. I constantly joke about wanting fictional characters… it’s not a creepy thing, TRUST ME….

BUT ANYWAY, this kind of started the “public” gushing over the origami siblings (in quotations because it was only to my friends on a private Instagram account, before I even joined the PMTOK fandom).

Then, of course…

There goes my crazy attachment to Olivia and Bobby. I was so obsessed with those two (IN A PLATONIC/FAMILIAL WAY + MARIO). The drawing above is of myself playing the role of Mario, hanging out with Olivia and Bobby.

I also was just… super obsessed with how tragic but beautiful Olly was. I wanted to give him a better ending, which resulted in so many of the AU stuff going on. You can see how I felt in the moment in the image above.

The game itself basically got me obsessed with the siblings! But then….

I started drawing them as people. (I know, the art is kind of ugly. It’s from 2020, cut me some slack!)

I also apparently wrote this on my designs for them…?! So that’s why my human designs look so basic.

I’d never liked humanizations, because I’ve always had this thing where I hate human characters. However, this somehow changed things for me. These were pretty much my first humanizations, made in August 2020.

Well, that’s great and all, but how am I still so obsessed with them???

The answer is super embarrassing.

I actually had a moment where I was losing interest in PMTOK. This was around early 2021. Then comes along the worst thing to ever happen to me. /j

The Ollys.

I was randomly DMed fanart of me and Sega (Jaded_Is_Jade on Twitter)’s Olly designs by Sega herself one day. Kissing. Passionately. As a joke. It was based off this meme:

…Unfortunately, I don’t think Sega will ever allow me to share this drawing with the public.

Anyway, as someone who found selfcest absolutely hilarious due to its sheer absurdity and impossibility in real life, I thought this was a new funny recurring joke we’d have.

Yeah. “Joke”. We kept drawing art of the Ollys. It was all funny, but then we moved on to writing fanfics about them. Then, this sort of wound up becoming a symbol of our bond.

The Ollys have been a thing since February 24, 2021. It’s horrifying. I feel embarrassed every time I talk about it, because I don’t want people to think I’m often into selfcest (I don’t ship that stuff anywhere else, but if you do that’s cool, it’s just not my thing because I prefer more… possible ships), but this… somehow got me infatuated with Sega’s Olly. Which is really funny, because I used to say “why do people find him hot??? He’s literally a cube.”

So, now a lot of the obsession comes from the Ollys. They really do hold a special place in my heart, for some godforsaken reason. That, and I just love tragic siblings. And fictional siblings in general. I used to be OBSESSED with Papyrus and Sans’s relationship (in a familial way, ya freaks. /j).

Summary: Fez does some light stalking and finds Lexi’s instagram because my man went from not knowing her first name to knowing her complete name? He definitely put some work in lmao

He was curious. After the New Year’s Eve party, after he had spoken to her and listened to her quietly talking about random stuff in a self deprecating monologue. He wanted to know more about her so he did what any person his age would do and stalked her social media.

She had an instagram that he found after looking through Rue’s followers so he combed through her page. She didn’t have a lot of followers and only four posts but he started at the most recent.

It was posted on Halloween and it was a group shot of her, Rue, Jules, Cassie, Kat and Maddie at a party. He didn’t immediately recognize her in the Bob Ross costume but as soon as he did he broke out into laughter. The other girls had dressed up in typical Halloween costumes for girls their age but she didn’t. Not that there was anything wrong with what the other girls were wearing but it reinforced his earlier assessment. She was fearless. And funny. He liked that.

The post under that was a picture of a book in her lap overlooking the beach. The caption read, “the perfect day @sassie.cassie,” He could just make out a glimpse of her bare legs. They were slightly tanned and god damn what was this girl doing to him? He couldn’t even see the tops of her knees and he was getting excited. Her sister was running towards the beach in the background. He smiled to himself, thinking this is probably why she knew about Germanic Pagans and kings trying to turn buckets of piss to gold.

The third post was a throwback of her and Rue. Captioned, “Tbt with @rue.the.world.” In the first picture they looked to be around seven or eight and they’re huddled around a cake, wearing tiaras. She looked so cute, missing her front teeth. The second picture was them hugging each other at the same birthday party, in roller skates. They looked so happy. Although Lexi didn’t have the deep seeded issues Rue had he sensed she had some insecurities and issues of her own. Probably overlooked and overshadowed by Rue and her sister, but there nonetheless.

The last picture was just a snapshot of her sitting cross legged in the grass somewhere. Someone else had to have taken the picture, probably Rue or her sister if he was guessing but the sunlight was a pretty orange color like it was just setting and her smile was large. Her warm brown eyes sparkled and he thought she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She was kind too. She obviously loved and cared for her Rue and her sister. She was smart and funny and he had meant what he said when he told her talking to her was one of the best parts of his year.

So maybe that’s why he hit the follow button in hopes that she would follow him back and maybe message him. She hadn’t texted him since the party and he was honestly worried he had scared her off after the Nate thing. There wasn’t really anything he could do but wait and see and he did. Late, again.

I checked my watch, seeing the minute hand tick past the hour mark. I sat in the cafe only a couple streets away from my flat with my favorite drink and scone. It had been nice to take the morning off, but I was hoping my boyfriend would join me like I asked him to.

This marks the third date that he’s either been late, or not shown at all. It was starting to look like it was going to be the latter. I started to wonder if he was losing interest again. The last time that happened the only reason we got back together was because of the time apart, we thought we were different people so we gave it another go.

But never had he forgotten my birthday. That made me wonder if he got caught up with his duties in the sanctum. He always was a workaholic. And because of that he’s on his third chance.

Chances. Everybody knows I give a lot to many. Maybe too many to too many people. Every chance given is a piece of my heart that’s cracked. Sometimes it hurts. Sometimes it doesn’t pay off. Sometimes even then, after more were given than was deserved, they have the audacity to ask for one more.

I sighed and shook myself out of my thoughts, coming to the conclusion that Stephen wasn’t coming. It’s alright, I’ll just pop by the New York sanctum to say hello. I grabbed my drink and headed towards the London sanctum, the one I study in. Not very often do I enter the sanctums in my casual clothes, but everyone knew I wasn’t due back to work until later this afternoon.

I said hello to those I passed in the hallways and eventually I reached the doors to the other sanctums. Still sipping on my drink I walked through and wandered the hallways trying to find my over worked boyfriend. I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t find him. He’s always moving and I wasn’t as familiar with this one as the one in London. So instead I went to the library where I knew I’d find Wong.

“Welcome Y/n.” Wong didn’t look up from his book as I approached.

“Hey, Wong,” I perched myself on the corner of the desk and craned my neck to see what he was reading, “Spiritus pax, et imperium… That’s a good one I’ve heard. Haven’t gotten around to it.”

Wong nodded to show he heard me, but didn’t make much of an effort for small talk.

“Wong, have you seen Stephen today?”

He looked up at me, “No, he texted and said he was spending the morning with you.”

That doesn’t seem right, “That’s odd since he didn’t show for breakfast two hours ago...”

We both shrugged at each other.

“Oh well, I guess I’ll wait for him to get in, I took the whole morning off.”

Wong turned back to his book, “You are welcome to stay as long as you would like.”

“Thanks.”

I stayed perched on the desk and pulled out my phone. I started to scroll through Instagram to pass the time. Eventually I scrolled through all of the new posts and decided to hop over to Stephen’s profile.

It took a long time to convince him to get one and he hardly ever used it, as shown by the next to no pictures posted. He had more pictures in the tagged section, most of them tagged by me. I flipped over there and scrolled to the bottom to start at the beginning.

I enjoyed scrolling through pictures of us that I had taken. Some of them were silly, far and spread between cute moments on adventures. I particularly liked the one where we sat together on the Ferris Wheel. Stephen had taken my phone when I pulled it out to take a picture of the view. He quickly used his long arms to snap a picture of him kissing my cheek. He caught me laughing with my eyes closed, and managed to angle so the colors of the sunset were in the background. It was my favorite picture.

I finally reached the top with the most recent pictures when I noticed one that I didn’t recognize. It wasn’t uncommon, Stephen had other friends that tagged him in things, so it wasn’t the first I didn’t know.

The picture was part of a brunette’s face, her hair clearly messy from just waking up. The picture had the purpose of catching the background, and clearly visible was Stephen looking over his shoulder at her. He had a half smile and was wearing the shirt I got him only a couple of weeks ago. That’s how I knew it was recent, despite it being posted just this morning. I noticed he was wearing the shorts he usually wore to bed which made my heart start to sink.

The caption read: Look at how cute my boo is! He’s so sweet to make me breakfast, Love you!

I could tell my the picture that it wasn’t Stephen’s apartment, and all of it together caused my stomach to twist.

I didn’t look up from the picture, “Wong?”

“Hm?”

“Were those his exact words? That he was hanging out with me?”

He looked up from his book again, looking a bit puzzled, “No… He said he was spending the morning with his girlfriend. Why?”

I tapped the side of my phone for a moment before deciding to show him the picture.

“Wong, what does that seem like to you?” I held my breath, waiting for him to call me crazy.

He took a deep breath, “It looks like he’s cheating on you.”

I sighed heavily, “That’s what I thought...” I boosted myself off of the table, “Well! I guess my morning off is being cut short. If you need me I’ll be next door.”

Wong nodded at me with a concerned look on his face, but didn’t move to stop me.

I quickly went to the London sanctum and changed into my instructor robes. I didn’t have a set class, instead I went where I was needed, giving a helping hand with the children.

I taught the classes with a heavy heart, but I surprised myself with dry eyes. It’s impossible to stay in too bad of a mood when you are in the midst of little ones, though. They giggled when they were supposed to be concentrating, and made funny faces when they concentrated too hard.

Before I knew it, the end of the day came. All the classes scheduled were completed, and I wasn’t booked on the night shift at the sanctum, so I was able to go home.

I was packing up my things after the final class of the day when a little girl tugged on my sleeve. She pulled a beautiful flower from behind her back and stretched her arm out towards me. She whispered timidly, “Happy birthday, Miss.”

I was shocked. In the midst of everything going on I had forgotten it was my own birthday, and hardly anyone knows when it is. I squatted down to her level and looked up towards the exit to see some of the older students who I have taught for ages looking at the scene expectantly. I smiled and waved softly at them before turning my attention back to the young girl handing me a flower. It had magical golden sparkles dripping around and on the petals, mesmerizing me.

I gently took the stem from her hand and held her cheek in one hand. I kissed her hairline quickly but softly, “Thank you, little one. I love it.”

She beamed up at me and bolted to her fellow students.

I didn’t want to crush the flower in my bag, and I knew I couldn’t walk home with the flower out in the open, but I also wanted to enjoy the slight sprinkle that had started on the glass windows, so I quickly used my sling ring to open a portal just big enough to place the flower in the glass of water I remembered I left on the counter this morning.

I walked home slowly, hearing the soft pat pat pat of the rain against the pavement next to me was soothing. By the time I reached my flat my hair was just wet enough to stick to my face. I left the lights dim and started to make myself dinner. I wasn’t sure how everything was going to go from here, I didn’t know what moves I would have to make, or what he would do in turn. So, instead of worrying or even reacting to it, I was going to think, I was going to continue as I have, and I wasn’t going to let it rule over me.

At least, that was my plan until Stephen himself walked through my flat door, using the spare key he keeps. He was still in his sanctum wear and his hair was dripping, slightly tinged white from the gel that no longer kept his hair in it’s place. I couldn’t help but smile at the look.

“Hey, are you doing okay?” His features formed into something that was almost concern, but not quite, and all of the sudden the quiet little moment of him looking silly and not a care in the world was broken.

My smile faltered slightly, “Yeah, why do you ask?” I subconsciously picked up his ring of keys that he dropped on the counter. I did it often, so he didn’t notice when I subtly removed my flat key as I was fiddling with it.

“Wong said you were upset.”

“Ah...” I turned back towards the stove to give my meal a stir, “You- You didn’t come to breakfast this morning.” I guess I was doing this, I just hope I could do it slowly.

“Oh, was that today? I got a call from someone who needed some of my guidance in the Hong Kong sanctum.”

So now he was blatantly lying to me. Fantastic.

“I saw you wore that shirt I got you today, I’m glad you like it.” I kept my voice calm, even, and terribly bland. I was afraid if I showed anything, I would show everything.

There was a pause where I’m sure Stephen was puzzling over what that meant. I heard the click of his phone unlocking and then the sharp intake of breath.

“Did you...” He trailed off nervously.

I turned just enough to see that he had Instagram pulled up on his phone. I hummed softly, “So...” I turned to lean against the counter and face him, “Do you have anything to say for yourself?”

He was caught off guard and started to sputter silently. Maybe I was secretly hoping for a good explanation, that was his sister or a cousin who’s place he crashed at for whatever reason, his neighbor was feeling sick, and they have that kind of relationship, anything, really. I kinda think I would have bought it too.

But no, instead, after he stopped sputtering, he fell silent completely. He offered no explanation, not even a lame excuse. I nodded to myself and pushed myself to stand. I walked to the door and opened it, standing to the side to let my now ex-boyfriend pass.

“You could have just said you were losing interest Stephen.”

He had just stepped across the threshold when he turned around, “Y/n, one more chance. Please.”

Even him asking was breaking my heart again. Just like all the other times someone asked for just one more chance. I decided I just couldn’t do it anymore. I couldn’t lose anymore of myself to giving one more chance to those who didn’t earn it.

“No.”

I started to close the door before he asked, no, he pleaded, “Why?”

I paused and held his gaze firmly, “You’re not worth it.”

I closed the door the rest of the way and when he made a move to keep it open I used the sling ring I slipped onto my finger to make his hand fall through, keeping him from stopping me. I locked the door and slid to the floor.

It was done.

I finished my dinner slowly. Everything seemed so bland, but I didn’t regret it. I was just so tired. Maybe I should have seen the signs. All I knew was that I lived a nice life full of wonder and magic. And that was enough for me.

Later that evening I gently touched the sparkling flower I was given. I played the conversation in my head over and over. I gazed into my own eyes in the mirror as I approached the last lines.

“Why?”

“You’re not worth it.”

Because I am.

My sister attended her friend’s reputation themed birthday party today and then asked me for Instagram caption recommendations so I gave her some lyric suggestions and she decided on “hold on to the memories and they will hold on to you.” That was actually the same thing I captioned my Instagram post when I saw Taylor in concert almost 3 years ago, so I think it’s funny that that was the one she chose out of the several options I gave her.

Robyn has no shame; Robyn can be loud with sex and I know she can be, but she has been terrible. She has been loud with no shame, knowing her mother is in this home “you’re banned from sex” I said as I fixed my dick in my boxers “me? Why am I banned from sex, you should be happy you are having any of it” pulling a face at her “your mother is literally down the hall and you’re wailing out, that is bad. Anyways, shouldn’t you be preparing for your event, I don’t know why anyone works with you. You literally haven’t done anything” she has a point “well that is not my fault I have people that like me, I don’t have to do anything. I am not sure about you though” walking around the bed “erm, where are you going?” she asked, “it’s like very early, we just went to sleep?” Pulling my top over my head “to get breakfast for the family, they are here, and we have to impress no matter what. Also, I just need to see TJ” leaning down and pressing a kiss to Robyn’ lips “right, ok” she frowned “I am not joking, I know you said I haven’t done much for this event and it’s true, so I need to see TJ as he has been here and helping. He is trying to show he means business and that he means what he says when he says that he wants to work for me, have some rest” pecking Robyn’ lips again “mhmm ok” she is too tired anyways to care, pressing a kiss to her bump over the sheets before going.

I pointed at TJ confused “hold up” then pointed at the stroller “yeah, he has been helping Uncle Chris with his event, he has been in California with me since. It was my time to have him, I spoke to Seiko and she said take him, even though I said I would be here for a while. She didn’t care” I am shocked “oh wow, hey there you little Chinese white man” TJ hit my arm “nigga” dapping him and then hugging him “it’s good seeing you, I just wasn’t expecting the boy here, I won’t get rid of you. You know that right? I know you’re like trying to prove a point and whatever” TJ waved me off “hey there fat man, you looking fly as hell today don’t you. Man he is extra chunky, I want to bite him” he is so cute “he fat as hell this baby, his diaper stank as hell too” makes me laugh because TJ is skinny as hell and Seiko isn’t fat, so this baby is just extra big for no reason “I am glad you can come out, I don’t even know what is happening. Like y’all set this event up and I haven’t even took interest which of course I do but still” TJ and I started to walk off, we aren’t going anywhere in particular, just a quick catch up “bro, your friendship with Tyga and Drake has boosted the hype for this because Cena reached out to them both and they promoted the event today, it’s a open shop with all your shit there, we will be an Instagram live just counting down to the relaunch and then people can come in and buy your shit too and just have a good time, I think Tyga is coming he said he can but yeah, should be easy work. You got fans?” pulling a face “how?” I am confused “they love you, look with your eyes bro, you have” I don’t really paid attention like that.

TJ son is adorable, he just fat as hell and I like that. Adding a caption to the IG post of his son ‘Fat man came to see uncle in AM’ pressing send on the post “he can be my daughter’ bodyguard, I like the muscles. He can sit on them” TJ hit my arm “wait, what? Rih having a girl” nodding my head “yeah, I am having a daughter, but I would have liked a son. So they can protect their sister you know, I like that. With Tootie I couldn’t do that because I was young, so I would have liked it but it’s ok. I guess I am just going to do that. Imagine if she is her momma’ twin?” TJ’ eyes widened “bro, you got problems, but Camron would be there for her cousin, you know that. They about to be best cousins, but don’t call him fat. He gets a little sensitive like that” I laughed out “oh wait, do not say anything about it. Nobody knows about Robyn having a girl” I keep forgetting that “I won’t, promise. I am happy for you but it’s going to be stressful. Women be hard as hell and then imagine a teenage daughter, bringing some little nigga home that is from the hood” rolling my eyes “don’t, I am getting the shudders. Monica has been making breakfast every morning for us so I thought I would bring in some breakfast for the family, I kind of regretted it because it cost me a lot, it was cheaper buying the groceries and making Robyn cook it “thank you so much Chris” Monica thanked me “it’s ok, I wanted you to relax for today. You have been doing a lot, Robyn on the other hand” Robyn nudged me “what are you doing for your birthday? I remembered, I didn’t actually. Someone, well a fanpage put up that it’s your birthday so yeah, what is you doing about it? You have been so quiet” putting my fork down smiling “erm, well I can’t be doing anything really because you know yeah. So home really” chewing on my bottom lip “erm, why what the hell you want to do huh?” Robyn questioned “nothing dear, I just want to sit here with you” Noella snorted laughing “the sarcasm is funny, Robyn he is telling you that you are keeping him hostage. Blink twice if you need help” she joked, I blinked twice and busted out laughing “the only thing he is getting from me is a birthday card” looking over at Robyn, she is going to torture me “yay, happy birthday to me” I mumbled “I am your gift am I not?” licking my top lip “mhmm yeah, I ain’t say that. I am just saying” Robyn is going to go above and beyond to make sure I don’t have fun “have you not had enough fun?” nodding my head “I have, I am thinking of going VA actually” I added “no you’re not” I looked down at my plate “ok” I mumbled, she isn’t going to let me do anything.

Noella keeps laughing at me and I don’t blame her because it’s laughable “boring birthday for Breezy awwww” I gasped “you are getting me in trouble here, anyways. So who is coming to my little event, Robyn has clearly uninvited herself” Robyn scoffed “so you are uninviting your baby?” I knew she would say that, sitting back in the chair “nah it can come, I just need to take it out of your womb” I grinned “I planted the seed there so yeah” Robyn and I are just annoying each other “you two are terrible but I am coming, Monica is babysitting Majesty so yay” I smiled wide “I am glad I have someone there that is so supportive” crossing my arms across my chest “you both argue a lot actually, last night Robbie you kept shouting ass a lot. Interrupted my sleep” I snorted laughing “ah god, I swear it’s your daughter. She has been very violent towards me and then she is shouting at me late at night too” I sniggered “nigga please, I swear he is a liar. That is all I am telling you all, I am going to get ready anyways. I am going to my ex-husband event” watching Robyn get up from the seat “her ass is big, damn” I slapped it “you are totally getting divorce papers on your birthday, just thought I would warn you” she is annoying me, so I am doing it back.

I am a little sad that I can’t do anything for my birthday, I just think it sucks for me because I am in California finally. I can just invite some of the friends over, have fun but now I can’t. I will be here in the home, but I deserve it I guess so it is what it is “y’all ready” locking phone looking up seeing my wife has cut my sweatshirt “really?” you can see the bump too, she is showing skin “who knew about these comfy maternity jeans, my god!” she seems pleased with herself but both Noella and Robyn have both been playing around with my stuff “you know what, you both look beautiful. Ready though?” I asked, Robyn nodded her head “let’s go, mommy! We are going now” Robyn shouted, “let’s see this place then, you told Rich?” Robyn asked and I shook my head “why do we need Rich?” I questioned, we don’t need him for this “uh right, you will regret that by the way” pulling open the door “you look nice by the way, I like the stubble on you” Robyn loves me really “thank you” I grinned walking to the SUV, I love annoying her and she loves annoying me.

I regret not having no bodyguard, I didn’t think it would be like this. This is crazy, a whole queue to get in “this is on you Chris, now get us out of the car” I sighed out, opening the SUV door and got out “oh my god, Chris!” these girls started shouting, it’s me why they shouting at me “what?” I said half laughing “can we take a picture” chewing on my bottom lip, seeing security at the door and my smile grew. A whole store, this is amazing “oh my god” like I feel emotional “bro! aye!” TJ waved at me, I waved him over “get the guy to come over, I need to someone to walk with Robyn” TJ put his thumb up, looking back in the car “you hear that, my man got fans now” shaking my head smiling “come, be careful” she is pregnant so I want her to be ok, helping Robyn out of the car “poppa, thank you” opening the car door wider and the shriek of screams pierced my ears, they moved from the queue to me “listen, move back ok. Just move back” the security guy finally came over “move out! Now” TJ is also making them move back “back to the queue now” I swear someone’ phone near knocked my hat off too “you good?” Robyn nodded her head “I am used to it” holding her hand as made our way “baby this is amazing, I thought it was a party? A whole store?” I smiled ever so wide “I feel emotional, amazing right?” Robyn cooed out “I love it, oh my god” she is proud of me, that is what I want, to make Robyn proud of me “wow, this is amazing. You see this, this is my man’ brand right here” she said to the camera guy that is here.

I am in shock; I can’t believe this “a store?” I questioned; Cena dapped me “I told you that there is a surprise behind this. I believe in the brand and I thought we open store and have Black Pyramid and also incorporate Pink Dolphin with it, and honestly to see the crowd. It’s worked out for us” nodding my head smiling so wide “this is my wife” I pointed “hi, yes. Pleasure to meet the queen herself” I know they have been dying to meet Robyn for a while in person “nice to meet you” Robyn shook his hand “and this is Neima, she is his business partner” Deja’ eyes lit up, I saw her and peeped her reaction “nah, I got to compose myself. Like this is, oh my god” she is so dramatic “Deja, you’re embarrassing yourself, honestly” she turned away “I can’t, I can’t do it Chris. Oh my god” she is so funny, moving back “this is Deja, the pain in the butt” she turned around “you’re literally my childhood” she is actually crying, I can’t believe my eyes “I love you so much Rihanna oh my god” Robyn laughed “I been telling him these people only want to work for you for me, come here girl” Robyn hugged, Deja yelped out “oh my gosh, you smell like heaven. Help!” I snorted laughing “Black Pyramid! Nigga, wow!” turning “you made it out here” hugging Mel “you know I got you, bit late I think but I arrived” hugging her close “we just come out here anyways, I am just amazed by it all myself” this is crazy amazing.

I don’t do interviews and I hate it but here I am “this is Instagram live” I pointed, turning my snapback around licking my top lip “yes, and these are the questions here. Like there is so many” squinting my eyes, there is actually too much “ok, let me ask the questions. I will read them out, you step back” Deja pushed me back as she crouched down “I can’t see shit, like they words on there. You know before anything, thank you all for rocking with me on this live” I thought I would say that “sexiest country nigga I have seen” I snorted laughing “that ain’t a question, but thank you baby” Deja is stupid “I am just growing your head, ok so when are you going back to drawing? I miss that” that is a good question “erm, soon. I have been busy, real busy with a lot going on. When I get back to my right headspace I will be going back to that” clasping my hands together “when are you going to make some slides?” Deja looked at me “soon but there is slides you can buy, them Fenty slides. Fellas if you want to be on your good side with your girl, get them. Take it from me, spoil her” I am still in the doghouse “is Rihanna your buggest muse” nodding my head “for life, she is everyone muse. You can learn a lot from Rihanna, she ain’t just a singer and I think people will realise that too” I knew Rihanna questions would come up “someone put, I have to say it. How do you get on Rihanna good side? She has the world?” Deja has to ask “erm, wow. How do I keep this PG” I busted out laughing “erm, I can’t” I laughed “I am joking but there is things that I can get and give Robyn, she loves gifts that are thoughtful” I can’t just say what I want to say on this.

Tyga really came out, this is dope of him “my nigga” dapping him “it’s been a while, declining my parties now” I laughed out knowing damn well I won’t be going to any “too much trouble” shaking my head “appreciate you coming for me, you didn’t need too at all” Deja came up to me “come and take some pictures” looking up at where she is posting, oh them girls that were outside “me, why me? Since when did I have anyone like me, I will be back bro” hitting his arm before walking off “serious?” I questioned “deadass, they been asking about you. They like you” chewing on my bottom lip, this is wild “what’s good” I have no idea what to do with his “I ain’t ignore you outside, I had to make sure my wife was good first. You know, so which one wants a picture” she giggled “what is your name baby?” I asked “Neka, you are so damn fine. Like in person, wow. And you tall” laughing it off “y’all want a group picture or single?” I think it’s single “selfie please” nodding my head “sure baby, we can do that” placing my arm around her shoulder “my snapback is crooked as shit” fixing it on my head “aight go on” I smiled at the phone “can I ask you a question, like please” moving back “sure?” I questioned “please follow me on Instagram” letting out an oh “I can do that, leave it with Deja. I will do it, come here” waving over the next girl, these are some teenage girls. I swear if they were grown ladies then I wouldn’t be this nice or be even hugging them “I ain’t your assistant, this nigga” she might as well be.

Making my way to Robyn, she been quiet “Breezy, quick picture” this female said, oh she fine “uh yeah” placing my arms behind me as I leaned in “who knew you had that many freckles” I smiled as she took the picture “well now you know, thank you” seeing Robyn with Camron “aye, you holding fatty. Watch him, he is breaking backs” Robyn rolled her eyes “who knew you had so many freckles” she mimicked the girl “now” I said laughing “that was petty, I am being good” she is actually being petty “mhmm, but how chubby has he gone. I said to TJ I want him, I am sorry, but he is so handsome. Look at him, he likes me” rolling my eyes “poor guy” touching his cheek “so what can I have for free nigga?” Noella asked, she really don’t care “for you, anything. I don’t mind” dapping Rorrey as he came up to me “where you been hiding?” I swear he is late “I was around” chewing on my bottom lip and then saluting the cameraman that came around again “I just want to say thank you to the Black Pyramid team, this wasn’t anything without them. it’s been about a month now since TSL shut down. i’ve been thinking of how best to summarize my thoughts on the odd things that happened to me there and i’ve decided it’s best to split my thoughts up into a few posts. this is my first!

so, for starters! drumroll pleaaaaaase 🥁 i would like to clear the air.. i am very excited to say that i have properly identified and spoken to the real KalindaKing!

you may or may have noticed before the app shut down, but KalindaKing actually @‘d me in one of her final posts on the app, saying she had seen my theory but that sadly she is an only child.

unfortunately, yes, KalindaKing was not Kimby Kloss. i uhh, take it she herself confirmed it for me recently!

actually, about a month after posting my theory, a mutual of mine tipped me off to a social media post that seemed to be from someone who might be KalindaKing (the gist of the post was, to paraphrase, i saw a theory that i’m karlie’s sister. i wish!), and i had been keeping tabs on it for some time. the post did not get any traction (no likes, no shares) so there was no way to verify if it was related, but doing some digging and cross-referencing photos and whatnot i was left plenty suspicious.

So about 3 months went by after i had my lede on who it could be, and then 48 hours away from app shutdown KalindaKing @‘d me on TSL... so i decided to take the jump and direct message the suspicious person on social media. and, we had a match! it was her!

Can i just say she is just as delightful as she was on TSL? it was an honor to chat with her. turns out she is an active moderator under the same username on another app by the same company.

actually, 😂 the KK part is really a funny coincidence.. see, the moderator who went by the username KalindaKing on TSL originally created that username for herself because she is a moderator on the Kim Kardashian Hollywood app under the same username (she gave me permission to say that), and, alliteration, so go figure! it would appear i exquisitely took my conjectures a twist too far.

this moderator is a professional, so she did not disclose that much to me, but I was able to learn that the ‘TheSwiftLife’ account was the responsibility of her and someone else. She mentioned that Social (ie twitter/fb) was run by her. Someone else was helping out on the TSL app, ie, that account that gave out those persnickety taymoji gifts on the app. 🤨

for those of you who followed my theory closely, this newly confirmed information has likely allowed you to come to the same heartening conclusion that i did: this means that the “message to taylor” function on the app is in all likelihood indeed something that only taylor can see, or, isn’t accessible to just any glu employee. yes, those personal private messages to her were in fact kept private 🥰. that is to say, leading up to my big guess post, i had disclosed the content of my guess (that kimby was KalindaKing) using this function, asking for the go ahead here on tumblr. my theory is whoever the someone is that was helping out with the TheSwiftLife account did not have access to my secret messages, and that’s where the miscommunication between me and them occurred. oops...

if you are new here, you are probably wondering how sound this logic could be. it would also seem to be completely possible that the TheSwiftLife account simply didn't know i existed / had never read anything from me / had never interacted with me through the app.

to that i say:

i now have proof that at least one moderator from the app read my theory back in October 2018

i now have proof that the same moderator @‘d me in response to the theory 48 hours before the app closed on February 1st, despite having know about it for three months.. so i take it that it merited addressing

let me walk you through a sampler of five ‘interactions’ that occurred with me and TheSwiftLife between August and October of last year:

interaction one: 8/1 Puzzle Heart..

after showcasing some interest in the taymoji gifts and crafting my theory of what they meant, i had seen a through line in terms of the overall message being conveyed but was unsure of any of this was real. i posted here on tumblr for the taymoji gods to send me sign, and the TheSwiftLife account gave out a puzzle heart with the flavor text “put the pieces together” the chances of that taymoji being picked to be given out are, i would say, 1/128 chances. the gift giving was mainly from within a pool of the 64 song-based taymoji packs and always of one of the two rare taymoji from either pack, so, 64x2=128

interaction two, 8/29 Rabbit...

following a week of ttb using the emoji rabbit to welcome some anons into the kaylor fandom, TheSwiftLife gave out a rabbit with the flavor text “Fell down the rabbit hole...”

interaction three: 9/12 Pixels..

things felt surreal following the rabbit... so i asked TSL here on tumblr to show me a sign that proved they knew me and saw me. i said there was one taymoji out of them all (of which there are 653) that represented me. i had hoped for the pixel art heart taymoji, as it says in my profile here that i am a pixel artist... i assumed if TSL wanted to respond to my request, they’d poke around my blog and make that connection. 13 days after i made the post, they gave out that exact one. in response, i mentioned what a lovely birthday present this was, as it was coming 13 days before my birthday (i’m born on 9/25)

interaction four: 9/21 Balloons...

between the pixel heart and this next gift, i came to the conclusion that kimby could be spearheading the TheSwiftLife account (given an interaction between this blog and kimby’s instagram stories involving a yacht company), and, as i love cheesy things, i made the extra (flawed) assumption that, given KalindaKing appeared to be a pen name, it would be super duper ingenious if the KK stood for Kimby Kloss. i sent this prediction in the “secret message for taylor” function on TSL, assuming (incorrectly) whoever was on the other side could read it, and posted here on tumblr simply that “i know who you’ve been, and i take it you want me to share?” The next gift that TheSwiftLife gave out were a set of red balloons from the Mine pack, with the caption “Speak now if it’s your birthday this month”

interaction five: 10/1 Umbrella...

even so, i was very hesitant to go through with pushing my theory. it felt, again, unreal. so, i put up one more test... i asked here on tumblr something in the form of a riddle. I decided to phrase a request for them to give a taymoji in the form of a question. knowing the full range of taymoji possibilities, i picked the flavor text of a taymoji that had never been given out, and a double-rare one (which weren’t given out often) the umbrella, and put out my question: do you have my back even if it rains down on me? and the next gift given out was the very umbrella i expected, which has the flavor text “Don’t worry. I’ve got you covered!”

this span of time in particular (not limited to, but especially) is why i have a hard time not believing kaylor is real. why would taylor’s team let any of this fly, that is, why would they allow a bubbly and vocal kaylor experience this if kaylor wasn’t true?

i encourage everyone to look through my blog archive from August to October to see how it played out! it won’t take that long and i think it’s more interesting than just this post. it’s a sweet slice of time... happening before the political post, and then, the ‘wedding’ thing.

and: if you are to believe that this is all just coincidence, then you have to logically assume that every of the above interactions happened at random, with TheSwiftLife drawing from a catalog of over 100 possible choices each time, and accidentally giving something relevant each time. i am not even going to cover the many many other strange alignments between what i post on here and what kimby posts on instagram. the probability of these taymoji is enough.

even taking out of account the probability of the timing of each, and just looking at it like a kid’s math problem, it’s quite a rare outcome.

what is the probability of insinuating 5 specific symbols and drawing those 5 specific symbols out of 5 bags with 128 different symbols inside each, one after the other? 1/128 x 1/128 x 1/128 x 1/128 x 1/128 = 1/34,359,738,368

a one in 34 billion chance of it happening if it happened randomly.

you only think 3 out of the 5 coincidences above are legit? well that still an over one in two million chance. only believe in one of them? still just an 0.8% chance.

and i picked these five interactions because they hilight five times where there really couldn’t have been multiple “applicable” taymoji responses. i tried to cut out that grey zone for you, because there’s plenty of grey examples to pick from. i suppose with the balloons, they could have picked any birthday-looking taymoji and accompanied the gift with the same caption.. but in that case, it means you have to calculate the chances of them writing the birthday messaging after what happened with the pixel heart... and i don’t know how to calculate that...

i’m not even talking about how some of the taymoji given out twice coincided with celebrity appearances in the world of kaylor. i don’t know how to calculate the probability of karlie saying she’ll go to a taylor concert before a marching band hat is given out, and then her appearing at nashville the day after the marching band hat was given out again. or the paul mccartney coincidence, or the hayley kiyoko coincidence, just to name a few of the most straightforward. i’m not even gonna mention all that business about the app notifications freaking out on my phone (for which i have an excel spreadsheet up my sleeve for later should i decide to nerd out that much)

i don’t even need to touch that.

but i digress. pending, you know, ‘proof’, we have no surefire way to know about the who (or who all behind it) all of this is, but, i don’t think we need to be sure of that for the time being (uwu*). i just want to re establish that while KalindaKing was a glorious misfire, the mystery of the app still very much remains.

in my upcoming post (i need to buy myself some eyedrops or something because my eyes are redder than that st. louis park sculpture right now), i would like to rewind for a sec and set the question of who aside and refocus solely on what we learned from the gifts and what we can possibly take away from the experience as a whole.

Famous Muses & Groupies in Rock Music Pt. 3

GROUPIE: Lori Mattix/Maddox (modeling name Lori Lightning)

Researching this woman is honestly such a headache that I almost wasn’t even sure where to start….So I guess we’ll begin with everything we know to be definite fact. Lori was born on November 11th, 1958, and raised in Los Angeles with her single mother and three sisters. By the time Lori was in middle school, her mom (supposedly a talent agent or a waitress depending on the source) started signing Lori up for photoshoots in music magazines like Creem and Star (a vintage groupie rag, not the modern tabloid). In these photos, Lori was usually posing in skimpy outfits with fellow teen models and friends Sable Starr, Shray Mecham and Karen Umphrey to appeal to the rock music scene. From these modeling gigs and her friendships with baby groupies Sable and Queenie Glam, Lori very quickly spent nearly all her free time at clubs on the Sunset Strip from about 1972-75. She’s possibly the most profiled and interviewed baby groupie from back then, and still lives in LA running her own clothing boutique when she isn’t glamorizing her groupie days as ‘the best time ever’ or whatever.

Besides this, everything regarding Lori’s reputation as a teen rock groupie gets very muddled and confusing. During an interview in 1985 with writer Stephen Davis for the sensationalist Led Zeppelin biography Hammer of the Gods, Lori states that she was with Jimmy Page from 1972 to ’75 and he was the only rockstar she was involved with. But in Pamela des Barres’ 2007 groupie compilation Let’s Spend the Night Together, Lori claims she lost her virginity to David Bowie and Sable in a threesome before she met Jimmy, and that she hooked up with a ton of musicians. In the 2010 filmed version of Pamela’s book, Lori makes no mention of Sable being involved in her alleged incident with Bowie. In the 2004 documentary A to Zeppelin, Lori sloppily says she was “a vir—I mean come on, I was like a baby then,” when she met Jimmy. In a 2015 interview with the publication Thrillist, Lori claims she originally turned down Bowie after he propositioned her and didn’t sleep with him until 1973, even though she occasionally suggested that the incident was more likely to be late 1971 or early 1972. She also claims in this article that she continued to keep in touch with Bowie intimately for the rest of the decade, when previously she suggested it was only a one-night stand.

The people over at Medium penned a rather informative expose in 2016 on how inaccurate her stories are on her alleged hook-up with Bowie based on date history. Though it should be noted the piece doesn’t include that in the 1997 punk scene biography Please Kill Me, Sable participated in a rare interview where she revealed she and Lori did meet Bowie in 1973. But Lori got cold feet at the last minute, and only Sable ended up fooling around with the musician. The journalist of the Medium article also gives Lori a little too much credit on the legitimacy of her affiliation with Jimmy Page, as there are a lot of contradictions there too.

As has been reported by multiple sources, Jimmy infamously left his main US groupie Pamela des Barres for Lori while the three of them were partying on the Strip when Zeppelin was in Hollywood. Pamela usually says this happened at the Whisky a Go-Go in either 1972 or 1973. There is photographic proof of Jimmy, Pamela and Lori together at the English Disco that was originally credited on Getty Images as John Bonham’s 24th birthday party on May 31st, 1972. But the only problem is that the band was not in California the week of his birthday, and only played in the state for the last week of June. Zeppelin was however in Los Angeles on his birthday the following year, and the band’s hair and wardrobe in the party pictures match closer to how they looked in summer ’73 rather than ’72. The incident also seems more likely to have happened in ’73 as Lori was Jimmy’s date to a press event at the Continental Hyatt House sometime in June 1973. Both Jimmy’s and Lori’s hairstyles there are identical to how they looked in the English Disco photos as well.

On the 2007 DVD Way Down Inside, Lori says she first met Jimmy randomly at a pool party on the roof of the Hyatt House. In the Let’s Spend the Night Together documentary, she says she met him backstage at the Hollywood Palladium. In the book version and in Thrillist, she claims he personally called her house to introduce himself—but in LSTNT she says they first physically met clubbing at the Whisky before hopping over to the Hyatt House, while in the 2015 interview she says she met him in person at the Hyatt House and then they left to party at the Rainbow. In A to Zeppelin, she claims that Jimmy contacted publicist Lee Childers to set up a date for her to meet the band after he saw one of her photoshoots, rather than call her personally. On Instagram, Lori posted one of the photos of herself with Jimmy and Pamela at the English Disco with a caption stating that was the night she was introduced to Jimmy. If the two did meet backstage, it would have had to have been on either May 31st or June 3rd, 1973 when the band played the LA Forum, as LZ never performed at the Palladium. If he did set up a supposed date, it was probably the night he dumped Pamela. The pool party claim would also make sense, as the week Jimmy and Lori met, the infamous episode where Bonzo threw George and Pattie Harrison into a pool during his birthday party also happened. Except apparently this party was in Laurel Canyon, not at the Hyatt House, and Lori has never been name dropped in retellings of that story.

Besides the month of June in 1973, the only other confirmed time Jimmy and Lori were together is the week of May 10th, 1974, when Jimmy ditched her at the Swan Song label opening party in LA for older groupie Bebe Buell. Bebe went into detail in her 2001 memoir Rebel Heart, of how Lori became hysterical when she realized Jimmy was leaving her for Bebe. The model recalled Lori jumping her and wildly pulling her hair in anger at Bebe ‘stealing’ Jimmy from Lori. Lori conveniently leaves this accusation out when she talks about the break-up. So this is about four to five weeks in Los Angeles when Lori could have socialized with Jimmy, and quite possibly the only times they saw each other in 11 months.

In Hammer of the Gods, Lori asserts she was secretly on tour with the band for two years. Except that between June 1973 and May 1974, the band was only on tour for a month in July. In the novelized Let’s Spend the Night Together, she insists Jimmy arranged to have her visit him in NYC whenever he wasn’t in LA. Lori would eventually completely backtrack ever traveling as a teen and claim she only saw Jimmy when the band was in LA. In the Thrillist piece, she claims that they would travel back to Hollywood after every show and spent the whole summer of 1973 in the city. Not only did the band reportedly spend the last week of touring staying at NYC’s Drake Hotel, but journalist Lisa Robinson tagged along on this tour, and remembers LZ spending nights in a lot of major US cities. Lori’s also infamously said numerous times that she had to be kept locked up (either on tour or in his LA hotel room depending on the interview) while she was with Jimmy because she was underage. Seeing as how there are three different sets of famous party pictures of the pair posing together, taken by professional photographers and originally published the years they were shot, that doesn’t make much sense.

In both Hammer of the Gods and Way Down Inside, Lori says she was kidnapped by LZ roadie Richard Cole, who allegedly yelled at her to get into his car before taking her to Jimmy’s hotel room. In the Thrillist piece, she says Zeppelin manager Peter Grant was the kidnapper and he tossed her into their limo. In a Q&A Lori participated in after the premiere of Let’s Spend the Night Together in 2010, she suggests Jimmy himself kidnapped her. (In the same Q&A, Lori also says that Jimmy broke up with her when she was ‘16’ right after the FBI got involved with the band’s hotel safe theft in NYC. But this obviously isn’t true, as the FBI incident was only two months after she met Jimmy in 1973.) In A to Zeppelin, she makes no mention of any kidnapping and says she just followed him back to his room. Lori has also continually asserted that she and Jimmy spent the rest of the night in his room ~falling madly in love.~ 🙄

Lori says in the Thrillist piece that she had to hide when Zeppelin went back to LA after the FBI got involved in a theft from the band’s hotel safe in NYC at the end of July 1973. In Let’s Spend the Night Together, she erroneously states that the theft happened in 1975, right after she was flown out to visit Jimmy, and then quickly forced to go back home. But many biographies, including A to Zeppelin, report that the band just went back to England after the FBI episode without any mention of Lori. There are photos of Lori partying with musicians after the theft, but most of them are with Iggy Pop and the New York Dolls in LA.

It is also interesting to note that of all the pictures of Lori with musicians from 1973-75, the rockstar she was photographed with the most is Sylvain Sylvain of the NY Dolls. The two of them are even featured in the documentary All Dolled Up (2005) partaking in PDA in vintage 1973 footage. But funny enough, she’s never talked about Sylvain in interviews. Probably because all the photos and footage of them together were at the same time frame she knew Jimmy, and that disputes her story of how she and Jimmy were committed to each other the whole time they were together.

Other things that are likely fake/made up by Lori:

In most interviews, Lori claims that her mom gave Jimmy her blessing to go out with her teenage daughter because he didn’t have a criminal record and ‘wasn’t a terrorist.’ I mean…I guess this could be true, but it has to be the worst excuse I’ve ever heard of a parent letting her 14-year-old child date a man pushing 30.

In the Let’s Spend the Night Together book, Lori has a story of how Jimmy once saw her smoking a cigarette, then forced her to smoke a whole pack, and that made her never smoke again. Three months after Jimmy dumped Lori, she was photographed smoking at Keith Moon’s 28th birthday party, as well as in a personal picture from the early 1980s.

Lori likes to brag about how Robert Plant and Jimmy would dedicate concerts to her while she was with Jimmy, but within the 11 months they were familiar with each other, there were only two shows in LA. Both at the Forum on May 31st and June 3rd, and neither known bootleg recordings of either show feature any shout outs to her.

Lori has gone as far as to say that when she was in LA and Jimmy was back in the UK, he would call or write her every day. Seeing as how in 1973-74, Jimmy was in another country writing, recording and producing songs on the album ‘Physical Graffiti;’ living with model Charlotte Martin and their daughter Scarlet; and having an additional affair with Krissy Wood, he might have been a bit too busy to include some teen halfway across the world. Lori also claims that Jimmy had to choose Charlotte over her because they had a toddler together, and that he would be a jerk to Charlotte to prove he loved Lori. (Never mind the fact that Lori simultaneously calls Jimmy the ‘sweetest’ man ever.)

Some articles and blog posts state Lori and Jimmy got back together for a while in the ‘80s, but this conflicts with Jimmy’s own relationship history as there were only two years in between his separation from Charlotte in 1983 and the meeting of his first wife Patricia Ecker in 1985. On top of that, whenever he would visit the US in the ‘80s when he wasn’t with Charlotte or Patricia, he was usually with a photographer named Ashley Hamm. (Could this man be anymore promiscuous.) A few times, including in Thrillist, Lori has said she still keeps in touch with Jimmy. Yet he has never mentioned her publicly and there have never been any personal photos of them together, such as on Lori’s social media, where she’s posted photos of herself reuniting with Pamela, Rodney Bingenheimer, Robert and Sylvain in modern times.

A lot of LZ books and posts state that the song ‘Sick Again’ is about Lori and her fellow baby groupie friends. This…actually is true, but the tone of the lyrics is intentionally sarcastic as Robert was known to be one of the few rockstars that era not interested in teen girls. He even said in a 1975 Rolling Stone interview that he felt sorry for the Star girls revolving their lives around how many celebrities they could meet.

TL;DR: Lori was a real, legit groupie in the mid-1970s. There are enough pictures of her with dozens of celebs and other groupies to vouch for that. Feel free to judge these adult men for getting involved with teenagers, they mostly deserve it. But it’s also pretty obvious this woman was not in serious, long-lasting, or romantic relationships with any of these rockstars and just likes being famous, no matter what context. (And she is a terrible, terrible storyteller).
