im still alive (somehow), but working fulltime and trying to finish these applications has left no time for fuck all else and i hateeeeeeee being forced to liveeeeeeeee in a capitalistic society i hate working i hate having to work to survive and i knooow how this sounds i know. and like the company isnt even bad. i do genuinely like the company and its funny seeing everyone react to me being the only brazilian in the store and get excited someone finally speaks portuguese, but like. i still fucking hate working fulltime, i hate not being able to enjoy my free time bc i dont even have free time anymore

my mom has been up my ass about me moving and she takes everything as a fucking competition and im not going into the hows and whys of it all but like. at this point i truly wish i could just spend christmas by myself just so i can get away from it all.

and i HAD this job interview scheduled today for the INCREDIBLY renowned publishing house that's also a huge name in the museum sphere and they wanted to interview me same day but i COULDNT because i was WORKING and so now i fucking lost the interview bc they filled the position

Idk guys, I just love these funky lil guys!!! This is Geno (pre-injury) in the poster, with Dust (center) and Reaper (right)!

Canonically, Dust met Reaper years before the plot of the main story in Ec-4o.verse. In a city. Where there would very likely be posters and signage showing mantras from before the downfall.

I think it'd be interesting if Geno (one of the head programmers of the Ecto-reprogramming) got put up as the poster child for the initiative. A new upstart programmer with the people in mind would sway hearts, right? Well, it did. Geno's lucky he got so many prosthetics, because a *lot* of survivors blame him for the incident thanks to how often he was publicized, even when he didn't want to be.

And idk. I think it's a cute fate moment, where Reaper just saved Dust and they're traversing the ruins of the wastes of the city, and Reaper shows clear distaste for the sign, but Dust stops and stares for just a second longer. Somewhere inside he recognizes that the guy in the ad is someone who was responsible for all this, for all the destruction and bloodshed. He's not sure how to feel about it. He seems larger than life.

Interesting how Reaper's seen it a hundred times and doesn't even look back (despite how he'd gaze at that face, changed but yet the same, every day with love later on) and how Dust takes a moment of the life he nearly just lost to stare at the image of someone he's never seen before (and wouldn't recognize for ages again, because Geno isn't who he was back then anymore). Interesting too how Geno's face was seen by both of them before he could see them in person and prove himself to be larger (than them both, he's tall, but not larger than life) and more of a character than either of them could've ever dreamed. Someone with enough heart to hold both of them.

we’ve established that he’d appeal to your soft (n maybe not-so-soft) side by crying when you’re angry, but other times, i think he’d also try childishly teasing u nonstop in order to get out of an argument, so that u finally reach the breaking point and snap, releasing all your frustrations by ruining him into tomorrow (reminds me a bit of ‘pay attention’… pls excuse me as i go reread that masterpiece of a fic for the nth time)

yknow, with minho being the funky lil guy he is might say it too just to throw u off, i mean god knows he does the most outta pocket things sometimes. would say it with that trademark straight face, but then ! then see the little pastel blush tinting his ears !! how could u ever take his little facade seriously when his body tells all his secrets ♡ gets unreasonably surprised when u actually follow through with his snide remark, like he would get so shy if u pulled him by his shirt collar into a kiss even though was the one who initiated it

Fourth rewatch of ATSV, y'already know:

The name of Gwen's band being "The Mary Janes" is cute. Kinda sad that we don't see any form of a real Mary Jane, though.

George lightly and gently punching Gwen's doorframe when he says they got a "breakthrough in the Spider-Woman case. I can feel it" is so realistically portrayed. A man that's driven by justice and wanting to do right by his daughter, the hand gesture kinda says it all, honestly.

I FINALLY FOUND THE FUCKIN' TRANS FLAG, JEEZ I CAN'T BELIEVE IT TOOK ME 4 SESSIONS TO FIND IT.

When Gwen lands inside the Guggenheim, she slides in and her left foot is on the tips of her toes like a ballerina. I can't believe I've talked it about so much IRL that I didn't point it out here. But yeah, really badass.

"Hey, who left this ATM on the sidewalk?!"

There's a food cart called "Mothershuckers," I think.

Jess and Peter are terrible mentors for bringing their babies (one of them unborn!) into fights!

The student councilor's calendar has a funky lil' dog on there with sunglasses (I think).

When Miles says "whatever" to his parents, Rio's face was FELT. And that head movement was so on-point. It's crazy how human this movie is despite it being animated.

A Puerto Rican friend of mine said that a lot of the food at the party was instantly recognizable. That and the fact that a lot of the older generation HATE being addressed by their first name, which works well when Rio calls out Gwen saying hers.

Jeff trying to fix that cat balancing beam in the councilor's office and seeing it fall each time kills me.

Miles twiddling his thumbs nervously when he almost reveals himself to Rio is so realistically portrayed, I love the hand motions in this movie.

Gwen's avoidance to answer Miles' questions directly, or even at all, really irks me, especially when Miles has some very personal questions ("What are you doing here? I thought I'd never see you again..."). STOP LEAVING MY BOY IN THE DARK.

Speaking of Gwen, it honestly really bothered me how Gwen acted in this movie when it came to other people (being so nonchalant to Miles' parents, that awkward and sudden goodbye to Miles before she goes to find Spot, etc), like she's acting like such a child. But now, I genuinely think that she's just socially awkward, which I should've probably put together already considering she barely has any friends in her world and (presumably) doesn't talk to many people except for other Spider-People that are (again, presumably) just as awkward as she is.

Like, WHY DID SHE CHOOSE TO REVEAL HERSELF TO MILES' PARENTS WEARING HIS HOODIE AND THEN BEING LIKE "Uh Miles is missing, I dunno where he is. Bye!" GIRL, THAT'S NOT HOW YOU DO IT. Her promise to them and telling them that Miles loves them was nice, though.

Rio cupping Miles' face in her hands during her speech and Miles chuckling and smiling breaks my heart, man. If that ain't a mom thing to do ❤️ And I would smile and laugh just as much if it was my mom, too. I still think about Rio's speech, even today. It's that good.

Jeff climbing up the water tower to meet "Gwanda" and bumping his head into stuff and hurting himself was hilarious and I can't believe I didn't notice until now.

Miles hyping up the empanadas to Gwen was adorable. And his hand gesture was cute, too.

Miles' goodbye to Gwen is even more heartbreaking because you can see the tears welling up in his eyes. WHY WOULD YOU HURT MY BOY LIKE THIS???

There was an interesting parallel (don't know if it was intentional) where Gwen was hit by Spot and was falling in Mumbattan, Miles catches her and carries her before he drops her and reaches to save her. But when Miles is escaping from the Spider Society, Gwen catches Miles and Miles intentionally breaks the web and free falls instead, shaking his head at her. Gwen trusts Miles, but Miles doesn't trust Gwen anymore.

Bro, Miles can't catch a break with the damn snitches (the students ratting him out to the guy's office in ITSV and that woman on the highway in ATSV). Glad he called her out, though. Though, if there was a big scary Spider-Man with claws and arm blades on my car, I'd probably do the same just to get him off and away.

Miles rubbing his cheek in embarrassment when Rio appears in front of Gwen was so good. And his face when he goes "MOM!"

Something about the way Miles says "You have to let me go" to 42 Miles is interesting. I can confirm I saw the acrylic stand of Miles Morales Spider-Man in 42 Miles' apartment. I wonder if 42 Miles looked up to Spider-Man or something, maybe there is some history that we don't know between him and Spider-Man in some way, which is bizarre since there is SUPPOSED to be a Spider-Man there but isn't.

I like how Mayday took a crap when Miguel held her heheh. He IS the establishment. "Yup, she's a Parker" says Peter. Lmao.

There's several scenes where Miguel is talking about the canon to Miles with everyone being pretty close to the center, while Hobie is the farthest from all of them most of the time. And he's kinda facing away from them with his head being turned to face Miles. Shows how he separates himself from the society, but is only looking out for Miles right now.

There's a really cool YouTuber that went really in-depth with Gwen and George's conversation when Gwen returns back to her world and it's really insightful. Shows her lack of communication skills in general (and that it, unfortunately, seems to be hereditary, as well). He even talks about the damn penguin. Crazy stuff. But he makes a great point that Gwen actually genuinely smiles after talking to her dad, more so than even being with Miles. It's really sweet.

I dunno why, but I feel for that guy running the food cart when Gwen and Miles take his hot dogs and just dips and gives them cash (letting him keep the change). Just feels inconvenient for him, despite making a profit. I dunno, the guy looked like he was really befuddled and I felt for him lol.

The current Prowler's theme (42 Miles) being Miles's theme in reverse is insane.

Someone else pointed it out, but Pav threading the damn needle through a broken poster was SLICK.

Speaking of threading the needle, Miles almost messing up when he dodges the truck and screams out is hilarious. It honestly sounds like a reused scream sound file that he did in ITSV.

"I don't believe in consistency!" "This guy's killin' me..."

I didn't point this out in my third rewatch but the "It's a metaphor for capitalism" line was completely lost to me until I heard it then. Fucking perfection.

Pav saying "I can do both" when he sees Inspector Singh in trouble while trying to rescue Gayatri is heartbreaking. Miles says the same thing to Miguel before being shot down by Peter ("Not always."). At first I 100% believed that there was no argument that could be made against Miles, but realizing that Pav said that when he (literally) had his hands tied with Gayatri and couldn't rescue Inspector Singh until Miles came in, I'm not so sure anymore. It doesn't sway me in the other direction (being that Miles is in the right), but now it's much more clear that it truly is "not always."

I can't believe that in an Indian dominated Manhattan (Mumbattan), they STILL allowed to have that British museum up.

"I wanted to be with you guys so bad...but this thing isn't what I thought it was." I can't tell you how much I love this boy and how I will kill anyone that hurts him like this. So fucking uncool, guys. UN-FUCKING-COOL!

When Miles is talking to 42 Rio, he says that he's "stronger now because of you [Rio], because of dad" and 42 Rio says something in Spanish that sounded like the equivalent of "oh, sweetheart..." lovingly. Shit hurts, man.

Leone Abbacchio was once a man of justice and steel resolve, his determination and dedication to Naples was almost admirable and you can see it in his eyes how he wanted to uphold the principles of being a good and just cop but things seemed to take a turn for the worst the moment he took that dirty crook’s bribe that soon led to the death of his partner.

Actually, the moment he became a cop was the first sign of things going south very quickly, the death of his partner only intensified it. Up until now, Abbacchio still blames himself. Even if it's been at least what?? Four or five years since the death of his partner and only friend in the police force and seeing him like this every time that horrid day would come, it pains you to see Abbacchio drink himself to near-death. Thankfully, you had Bucciarati and the rest of the gang to help you out whenever Leone got out of hand. It’s been years since you’ve last seen him. The last time you heard about Abbacchio was when he joined in with Bruno on betraying the boss and during that time, you were hospitalized after a rather risky mission with your own team. Fugo had filled you in about the details regarding their betrayal and his choice to stay with the organization and almost everything in between. As much as you respected Fugo’s choice to stay, you chose to disappear and leave Passione for a while and you did. Tonight, happened to mark the date of Abbacchio’s partner’s death and you knew that the man was drinking himself to death once more, the rain even seemed to fit the mood too. But what surprised you the most that evening was that he wasn’t intoxicated of the sort, or at least that’s how he sounded like when he called you, asking if he could meet you face to face. Of course, you agreed and found yourself leaving the warm confines of your home before driving towards the address Leone had graciously had given you not so long ago.

You realized that this may be the first time that he’s ever invited you to his place. Unlike his visible reluctance when it came to showing his stand, Abbacchio was never reluctant when it comes to terms to his home address. After all, he did need some help in case he got way too drunk. Stepping out of your car and heading towards his door, you were surprised to see the door was unlocked and that’s when your senses kicked in. What if he called you because he got attacked by an enemy stand user? You knew Leone was the muscle in Buccirati’s squad, but you also knew that Moody Blues wasn’t made for fighting. Pulling out your stand, you were on guard as you made your way upwards to where the silver-haired gangster was, silently hoping that he was safe and uninjured.

All your worries seemed to disappear when you saw him safe from harm but it soon returned when you saw him look up at you, looking so broken and guilty, it seemed to pull at your heartstrings to see him like this and found yourself kneeling right next to where he sat, surrounded by empty bottles of wine and half empty glasses containing the beverage.

When you asked him what was wrong, he seemed to break down from right there and there, his cheeks streaked with his ruined makeup, profusely mumbling apologies to you, explaining what happened to him at Sardinia and how he was briefly reunited with his partner and you in turn took them whole heartedly, after all, he was your boyfriend and the only person that you had in your life.

Silence seemed to rule the space between you and after a few minutes of silence, you decided to do something. For the first time in years, you kissed him, you kissed him until you couldn’t feel your lips anymore, you kissed him until his dark lipstick was smeared on your lips and he did the same too. He kissed you with such desperation and need, almost as if your kiss would take away his sins. He was kissing you like you were his only redemption to this unforgiving world.

Bottles and glasses were pushed aside and wine spilled on the carpet below the two of you, but Leone didn’t seem to give a damn about it anyways.

Hands would eventually tug and grip and caress every inch, nook and cranny your bodies had, and you could feel the utter need and desperation he had for you. Soon the two of you moved to his bedroom where Leone worshiped you like you were his only deity, his savior and redemption, and he was on his knees before you, kissing every inch of you that he craved oh so much before his mouth finally found that one place that made you cry out his name to the heavens and that was enough for him. Enough for him to be cleansed of his past sins and stain on his hands, the memories, everything. Tears seemed to roll down his cheeks as he moved with you, his knuckles white and breath hitched and you felt his emotions roll off of you and found yourself locking lips with Leone once more, your hands gripping his disheveled silver locks, emotional gradient eyes staring right into your very soul and the world seemed to freeze, whispering your final praise and call of his name into the cold night air that was soon followed by his own plea like a distant echo of a chorus, bodies still pressed together, holding you so tight as if you’d disappear right there on the spot and lips whispering words of love, devotion and of forgiveness.

That night, Leone Abbacchio was reborn and he made sure to change his ways for the better.

that being said... i didn't write the fairy hyunjin fic, that was billy aka @hwanghyuniret who used to run this blog with me before he made his own! i did however ask him for his input on these questions since he's not too active on here anymore!!

the general concept is that hyunjin didn't bring reader there. fairy!hyune is a little gaslighting in that sense.. he sees reader as a toy he wants to keep, and so he has to convince them that he always intended for them to arrive there!

he was up to something deeper.

reader is unfortunately confined to pink cloudy wonderland forever butttt... hyunjin will be back.

tldr: the idea here is that hyunjin saw a pretty new toy to play with, fucked them, and will decide to come back when he so pleases and leave reader in that limbo of a delirious high lol

A question for the mun; May I ask what are your favorite trolls in the ftc as a whole?

Oh geez, I feel like this is always changing for me because I keep getting to know amazing new people and amazing new characters. I think I'll just name a few blogs and list my favorites from there, as I don't think I can pick out of the entire community when it's full of people I also don't know or haven't interacted with (yet!).

Quite a few of them belong to my partner @mageofspacemultiverse as I've known those the longest and have quite a few ships between us. A few of my favorite characters from him are Zomson, Hidelord, Devaron, and Pixcel. Each character of his is unique and has interesting backstories and personality, and yet every one of them is so on-brand for his blog.

From @thestarlightbrigade I have always adored Deltra and MY LIL MAN HIBUKI. Special shout out to Iiboye too. Lots of edgy angsty characters but each one is a specific flavor that never gets tiring. Avery's vibe is I'm shaking him by the shoulders and biting him affectionately. That is to say, he's a fun guy and silly to talk to. Prepare to get cat-gif'd.

@stuckstucktrolls I thirsted after Viktor since day 1 bruh. He's the Troll I am most familiar with besides Teagan. Creative characters and also very pretty, the lot of them. Cool cat boy cryptid gets the seal of approval from royal moth cryptid.

@goddesstrolls Kairos and Kairne. Ik Kairne isn't on the blog anymore but I thought he was pretty damn neat tbh. One of the first characters I knew Bast by. Also um... my (ex)wife Akidis, I love her to bits and pieces, and my male-wife Darvai. Buff women and bastard men run this blog, and all the world build and narratives Bast has come up with over the years are SO -chefs kiss- .

@miks-fantrolls Antemh <3 Sticking him under a microscope fr. I don't know a lot about anyone else, but maybe that'll change sometime. I don't know a lot about Mik but I personally think he's cool af. Mik if you're reading this I'm staring at you with wet pathetic eyes and offering you an egg in these trying times.

@roetrolls Veylin <3 She makes my heart happy. Also Franky, I would give him the world. Mallum is up there, too. Roe makes a lot of characters that are compelling, friend-shaped, and possesses you with the Funny Horrors (aka I can't stop laughing every time I see 'Dominion' on a street sign or pub. Like, it's the kind of joy that's like 'I know that guy! That guy belongs to this really cool person that I look up to! How silly that he has a bar named after him!' )

@sasster ...................... Redivi.................. Look, one could argue and say it's because he's a vampire and I'm absolutely a vampire simp 100%. But. But he's *terrifying* and that's a big reason why he's a favorite Chase Troll of mine. Compelling, scary, but recognizable as people we may know in our every day lives. An ever so loved face and name, but there's always something behind the scenes that we can't see. There's a performance for the world, while on back stage the true colors show. Mind you, I am extremely behind in the lore of the blog, but that guy? Man. That guy.

@windy-trickster -slaps the top of this guy's blog- This blog can fit so many funky lil dudes filled with unique lore and fantastic personalities and oh my god the angst. My favorites among them are Doleos, Rastho, and Althor. Windy is a creative writer and puts SO much love into his characters. Like for real, it's always a pleasure listening to him talk about them. It's clear he puts in a lot of love and effort into his guys, and I think y'all should go and see that for yourself.

@askthehiddencaste Shuska and Ashoal. I feel like Shuska is the face of the blog (i mean, the entire theme is a library, so), and she's such a charming character. Warm, friendly, but she's STRONG in spirit. Ashoal and Shuska are the two I'm most familiar with aside from Heliel (I want that goopy man carnally). Kanny has a lot of fascinating characters that all feel like a natural family to me. I could hang out with their characters and feel right at home.

@experimental-failures The only one I'm familiar with is Nix, so I guess he's my favorite by proxy-- BUT! I've always thought Nix was very neat. He feels like a guy I can run into out on the street irl. He feels so real to me, and it's always a pleasure.

Heehoo is my ultimate favorite, and Bladed is close second, but I adore Jonah and all of their characters.

@clown-fuckers-r-us Montague!!!! MONTAGUE!!!! MY BELOVED!!! CRYING WEEPING AAAAAAAA-- ahem. So um Montague is my favorite, he's so cool? I'm so invested in his story and not just because I have a ship going with that guy but his concept is so intresting??? A Purple with anger issues, rich and privileged but kind and loving-- now ruined by a broken mind and psyche, his one scrap of salvation that keeps him from fully losing himself being the memory of a lover that he hasn't seen since before the war on Limebloods... You should definitely go share some love with Bun, the mun of the blog; she's an AMAZING person, truly a wonderful friend, and one of the most nicest people I know.

@moonlit-trolls Tythus by far. It's been SO neat seeing Tythus grow and develop as a character. Moona and I made Ptillo and Tythus together, and while Tythus had some shaky beginnings as Moona was figuring him out, it definitely solidified and paid off in the end. Tythus is a compelling villain imo with complex goals and ambitions. Not to mention what a SILVER FOX HE IS GOD DAMN. You go girl, make that man hot and pathetic <3

I'm running out of steam for this post; if you're not listed on here it doesn't mean I don't have favorites or that I don't like you. There's A LOT of trolls to keep track of in the community and a lot of members too. Everyone has such amazing characters that I cannot possibly list them all off. Like this fight will be the messiest and ugliest fight within the series, and will borderline breakup their friendship-- that's how fucking bad its gonna be.

My first initial reaction when seeing the hermit reversed was "oh Vecna's gonna be all over his ass", but I'm not certain about that at all. Like this is a reading only about byler and how its gonna play out-- not about how Mike's gonna be dealing with Vecna.

(side note-- idk why this is pretty much only from Mike's pov. I was honestly thinking about them both equally, so maybe this plays out from his pov in st5)

Oh god, not even a full day, let alone an hour. Hollow would've hidden in the corner because Lazuli/Totality, Impulse/Indulge, Compulsion/Impairment, Infection!Impulse/Indulge, and even Harvey and Blake would've reminded them too much of Hally (They'd probably cry in the corner until someone comforts them). Totality would definitely be one of the main fire starters, after pushing Lazuli out of control. Impulse and Indulge would be either helping start the fire or comforting Hollow (Respectively). Compulsion/Impairment are the ones lighting the match because MC isn't there to stop them anymore. Infection!Impulse and Indulge would be... outside. Awaiting the fire. So Indulge can probably eat the bodies. Harvey and Blake are... also starting the fire. They're both more careful since they're sirens who turn into humans, so fire's not their thing but they'd roll with it.

In short: That house will be gone the moment you look away :)

Oooo, favourite scene... I'd probably say the moment Bloody and Harvest were just like... "Let's search up our feelings! :]" or likely the whole time they were living with Solar. The searching was relatable and them not fully trusting Solar was... strangely entertaining. It's understandable as well- and somewhat relatable. I do believe that their dissociation in chapter 7 is also a favourite, since it was so well written and once again it was relatable. I like relatable moments mostly, but the fic as a whole is just- *fucking goes feral*

SO! This guy has been with me for.. many a year atp, went through a lot of redesigns and his story has been rewritten more times than I can count jcjf he's never seen the light of day til now so- yea haha

How evident is it that I redesigned him during covid?

Chroma is a Sans from my undertale au, ChainTale! Or... well one of them. He is Chain!Sans 1.0 Something effed up in his au and it got deleted with Chroma surviving only because of his funky magical structure, basically weird chain!monster anatomy and magic n stuff nfncn

Chroma's code isn't compatible with any universe anymore, not ever ChainTale 2.0, so he just sorta glitches from place to place with no choice of where or when or for how long.

There are tells of when another glitch out is getting close. The longer Chroma stays in a certain au, the glitchier he gets.

The first few times he got glitched out (doodle of that cuz it's funny)

He attempted to figure out why everything's so different around him. He even tried to get to know a few people. That however- those friendships never lasted him long as he always ended up being ripped away from the friends he'd made.

Over time he stopped trying to connect with people, as it did him nothing but make him feel even more miserable. He chose to hide his face to avoid being recognized as a Sans, cuz- obviously an au would have its own version of the guy (Or not, in which case it would be sus to see a random unknown or dead person)

ChainTale Sanses are also rather tall for a Sans. Standing at 5'7

Chroma can summon and hide his 'chains' at will.

Chroma's bones have gained a gray hue sort of coloring on his fingers and hands. Marking him as a glitch in the system (if the glitches and binary chains weren't telling enough)

I had some notes on his particular brand of chain magic but I don't remember what it was haha. All I know is that it's different from Chain's (ChainTale 2.0 Sans)

personally, some of my favs are the greed duo, the greed duo + krantz & gil, mikuni & jeje, tsubaki & sakuya (huge on this one, their dynamic, esp in drama cds is too funny LMAO i also like their found family? relationship), and mikuni & tsurugi (almost completely due to ch 51.5 it was just so inexplicably beautiful to me)

on another note! i alr asked you ab hcs in another ask (i liked them) so i'm sorry if i'm greedy for asking this too BUTTT do you have any food hcs for the sv characters? things like preferences aside from what was mentioned, spice tolerance, picky eaters or habits!

My favorite sets of characters are Jun, Yumi, and Tsurugi (I love how Yumi and Tsurugi are basically extra dads for Jun's son), Ray & Gil, the Greed duo & co, and Tsubaki with pretty much any of his subclasses (I am a sucker for found family), and just about anyone with Mikuni. (I'm so soft on these guys that it's hard to pick favorites anymore.) As far as ships, I will say I'm fond of Mahiru/Sakuya, Tsurugi/Mikuni, and Tsubaki/Berukia (and Ray/Gil, but they're already on the other list. They're funky lil dudes), but there's not really any that I don't like.

Food hcs! I love them. I hc that Mikuni eats spicy things (partially to spite Tsurugi and his sweets because he got so tired of seeing him eating them), but can't handle the spice very well. He probably tries to get Jeje to try anything spicy he eats, and he straight up refuses. Probably tried to get Tsurugi to eat something spicy a few times, and Tsurugi tanked it like there was no spice.

Speaking of Tsurugi, I think he'd drive me up the wall when eating. I hc that if he's close enough to someone (like Jun or Yumi), he'll just sneak a piece of food off your plate when he thinks you're not looking. And he'll keep doing it until you do notice. Probably also the type to lick something before putting it on his plate to make sure no one does the same to his food. If he's not close to someone (like his first dinner with Mikuni), he behaves himself. I also think he talks with his fork when he uses one.

I think Kuro would steer as far away from spicy as he could manage. Picked up a cup of spicy ramen once and Mahiru found it sitting on the counter after Kuro took one bite.

Berukia is either a very picky eater (like, the Melancholies have had a meeting about whether he should have to cook his own food because he's so picky) OR he is their garbage disposal man, with no in between. (I lean towards the picky side, but the idea of someone not being able to finish their plate and Berukia just pointing at it and going "Gonna finish that?" is too funny for me to ignore.)

I also hc that Berukia is the most casual eater of the Melancholies, if that makes sense? Like the others seem like they eat very stiffly/formally compared to him. (With Sakuya being the second most casual, because I really think he's the most modern addition.) Another fork talker, btw.

I feel like Gear is also a picky eater, but in the sense that if you can sandwich it, you should sandwich it.

Lawless's best dishes are all pastries. I think Licht would prefer that he only make melonpan because it looks like melon, though. (Tbf I also think Licht picks his foods based on looks, it's just a bonus if it's also good)

ok i will give a smattering assortment of characters here, because i have a lot of favorites:

katniss everdeen (thg) — i don't see it as much anymore, but people were really out here coming for a traumatized teenage girl and calling her a sociopath because she was a lil blunt and not super nice, like... WHAT. anyway, katniss my best girl. named my cat after you. you're the best always. love how she was messy and real and not at all like an archetypal protagonist.

anakin skywalker (star wars) — ok. i know. ok. yes. he's done the war crimes and made horrible decisions in his life and i'm not going to excuse any of that. but the jedi were emotionally invalidating assholes and he was immensely traumatized and taken advantage of by an emotionally manipulative prick. i will always stand by anakin bye

sherlock holmes was one of my og blorbos and while he doesn't need defending necessarily, christ did the bbc show give people a weird perception of him. he's just a funky little weirdo who likes solving puzzles and hates cops, why are you all being weird

clark kent/superman — i have been constantly having to fend off the "lol he's boring" allegations for him ever since i can remember. sorry if you're so unimaginative that you cannot possibly think that a guy who's just genuinely a good person and uses his power to help people is interesting. i feel sorry for your life. (note, this also applies to other characters who fit into this general category of character, especially my beloved boy rich rider, who also has to fend off the "lol boring" allegations from time to time. BEGONE)

i feel like pretty much any comic book woman who does something out of line needs defending, but i'll use this space to defend some of my faves. so elektra likes a little murder, so what, she's sexy for that and i support women's rights as well as women's wrongs. if anyone comes for gamora it's on sight. i will also always stand up for wanda because everything she's done is justified, and it's not her fault that everyone in her life has completely failed her when she needed help. like, honestly fuck both the avengers and the x-men lol

as a bonus this needs to be said — i'm peter quill's defense lawyer, even for the war crimes 616 peter committed, but also, y'all. y'all. mcu peter quill didn't do anything wrong in infinity war, you're just dumb for still arguing about this FIVE YEARS LATER.

also for the holy love of god are peter parker and matt murdock horribly misinterpreted by fans, like, always. bad takes abound. i'm here to defend the honor of y'all's characterization as well as your bisexuality.

(Anyway, lil snippet from my transmasc SOC OC I wrote a while back)

Auran sat curled in a ball in the hull of the Kerch whaling ship. It reeked of rotting fish. The Kerch didn't want the meat of the whale, but the skin, the bones, everything except the nutrients. He hadn't been able to sleep for days, trying to keep as quiet as possible. He knew that Grisha in Ketterdam were bought and sold like cattle as 'indentures' ; he didn't need anybody owning him.

He'd considered going to Ravka once in Ketterdam, changing his name and face, but he didn’t speak Ravkan and would be forced to serve in the Ravkan army. Auran was a small, frail boy, ill-equipped for fighting.

Novyi Zem could be another possibility, on a completely different landmass from his old home, Grisha living normal, mundane lives, being called blessed rather than something unnatural or used for their gifts. But he didn’t know Zemini, and with his skin still light, he'd stick out like a sore thumb. 

He didn't know how to change a color with tailoring, only shapes. He'd been able to give his sandy blond hair a small wave, but other than that it was still that ugly blond, the blond of his father, if he could even be called that anymore.

He held the small kitchen knife in his hands, his father’s blood removed, but Auran could still smell it, it was a weird feeling. The gears in his head turned as he very carefully sectioned off a piece of his hair, held up the knife, and began sawing. The cut was jagged, and the ends were frayed, but he had a lock of hair in his hand to practice with.

Off next to him, there was a small barrel of coffee beans. He didn't know exactly what he was doing, so he guessed. He did the same thing like when altering texture, reaching out, and pulling the color directly from the bean, and letting it seep into the hairs. 

Almost giddily, he began sawing off the rest of his hair, promising himself he'd make it look better once he acquired a pair of scissors. And a few hours later, as he heard the bells of a harbor, he was left with a pile of snow-white coffee beans, a pile of sawed off blond hair, and a head of beautiful dark brown locks, and eyes that looked like deep wells of chocolate. 

Very carefully, he looked out one of the portholes of the ship, unlocked the window, hauled his bag over his shoulders and crawled out, landing very ungracefully on the wooden deck. "Kid!" One of the sailors shouted. "I'm speaking to you, boy."

Auran had to stifle a smile, his disguise was convincing! "Yes sir?" He asked. Trying his best to mimic the accent of the man who'd spoken to him.

"You think you're gonna stow away on my ship?" He asked.

"No sir." Auran replied. The man looked Auran up and down, eyeing his Fjerdan clothes suspiciously. 

"You've already been on my ship." He realized. Auran could see the gears turning in the man’s head, and he could hear his heart accelerate. "Ghezen would find it offensive to not pay for passage, little one." This is how indentures happen. Fearing for his freedom, Auran rifled through his pockets, and produced a handful of Fjerdan coins; he didn't know how much it would be worth to the Kerch man, but before that interaction could go any further, Auran bolted. Sprinting through alleyways, taking sharp turns, never stopping. He didn't know for sure if he was being chased, but that was a risk he didn't want to take.

Eventually, the city started to look less grimy and touristy, and Auran found himself in the upper-class parts. He found somewhere with an overhead covering, and curled up for the night. He'd figure out what to do in the morning, but he really was Auran now. And Auran was a small… scared little boy with nothing to his name and no one to call family.

Do you think Leigh Bardugo ever thinks about how many trans people want to be tailors? I just can't stop thinking about it. Imagine being able to mold your body like clay. Painstakingly re-shaping yourself, sculpting your body until what you see in your head is exactly what you see in the mirror.
