The Benefits of a Boutique Funeral
Home
While there is no national funeral consumer protection law, many states have laws regulating funeral businesses. If you have concerns about how a funeral home or cemetery is treating you, file a complaint with your state’s regulatory board or licensing agency.
Under federal regulations, you have a right to receive an itemized price list before the arrangement conference begins. This includes casket prices and outer burial container prices.
Concierge Services
A funeral concierge services as a neutral resource to offer options and guidance at a time when understanding these choices can be difficult. They can also help families make informed decisions and negotiate prices at the funeral home of their choice.
This is important because most consumers have little to no knowledge of what a funeral costs. They often call the funeral home closest to them or the one their family has always used, without comparing prices. The result is that they usually overpay for services and merchandise.
The best way to avoid this is to have a clear idea of the type of service you want prior to calling funeral homes. This way, you can ask them about what their price range is for each individual item and avoid getting overcharged for services that you don’t need.
On-Demand Services
In addition to traditional funeral services, Sparrow also offers memorial videos, a revenue-generating e-commerce store for flowers and other gifts, and online condolence messages. Hill says she hopes to expand her company and bring a new approach to funeral homes across the country.
She encourages people to comparison shop by calling multiple funeral homes over the phone. Funeral homes are required by law to give you a general price list, which itemizes the costs of merchandise and services they offer. Resist the temptation to buy a package that includes items you don't want or need.
You can also purchase caskets or outer burial containers outside the funeral home and have them shipped directly to the funeral home. The funeral home is required to agree to use your casket or container and can't charge you a fee for doing so. It's a smart way to avoid emotional overspending. Also, consider asking friends to help you make the calls.
Customized Services
The modern funeral consumer is seeking a personalized experience that reflects their loved one's life and values. Funeral homes can meet this need by offering customized services, pre-planning options, unique locations and embracing technology integration.
It is important to understand what the funeral home charges for and to resist pressure to buy products or services that you don't want or need. The Funeral Rule requires funeral directors to give you a price list when you request it. Ask for it before the arrangement conference and be sure to read it carefully.
A funeral website is a great way to promote your business and generate more revenue. Your family and guests can share obituaries on Facebook, make payments and even pre-arrange funerals directly on your site. Our websites integrate with answering service and CRM providers, and offer a variety of design options and content sections. Each site is mobile-friendly and provides a seamless, consistent user experience.
Flexibility
A boutique funeral home offers flexibility when it comes to pricing. Many people overspend because they do not shop around and do not ask for price lists. By asking for a casket price list, you can avoid being pressured into buying a casket or service you do not want or cannot afford.
A casket price list should show a brief description of each casket and alternative container (such as a cardboard or pressed wood box) regularly offered by the funeral home along with their prices. Caskets can cost as much as $10,000 or more, depending on the materials and design.
Also, by asking for a price list, you can see whether or not the funeral home charges for services and merchandise that other vendors offer. Some funeral homes include these costs in a basic services fee; others may add an additional markup. This is a practice that should be disclosed to you, as the Funeral Rule requires.

it's so funny that the sextuplets die and go to hell in s2 season finale hahaha... anyways, i've been thinking a lot of how mortality is a underlying theme with kuroba's character and how they're constantly forced to think about it with the work that they do and the losses they've experienced themself.

It felt deeply unfair that the sun was shining today. Sunny days in Gotham are such a rarity, why would there be one for a funeral?
It almost feels like a cruel joke.
As the service began Artem stood firm. Their posture seems to default to something trained and proper for a formal event. They cried, but their tears were silent. The tightness in their throat has plagued them for most of the day but that was likely for the best in their opinion.
Even though they had planned the service and organized everything. Somehow it’s only now as they send Alvi and Tank off together…
It’s only now that it sinks in that they are…
Their teeth click together and their hands fly up to their mouth before they can even finish the sharp inhale that serves as the preamble of a sob.
He really was gone.
They never even had a chance to figure out how they felt. Not until it was too late.

Detailed Description of Some Essential Funeral Directors Services
Families face a tough time during the passing away of a family member. They have to mourn over the death and, at the same time, make arrangements for a grand funeral. Since doing both things together is not practical for them, they seek the services of funeral directors from a reputed funeral home. These professionals play a crucial role by helping families organise a funeral ceremony of their choice and offering the entire range of funeral services.
Tumblr media
Funeral directors have multiple roles to play in funeral events, and we have covered the details of some in this post. Their responsibilities extend from the moment they receive a call about a person's death until the burial or cremation is over when they provide support, guidance, and practical assistance to the bereaved. Some other key roles and responsibilities of funeral directors are presented below.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
A professional from the team led by the funeral director will meet the family to discuss their wishes and preferences regarding the services. In most cases, this person is the funeral arranger who offers funeral director services on their behalf.
Tumblr media
Their role is to guide their clients through the available options, such as burial or cremation, the type of services, and any religious or cultural considerations that a family may have.
COLLECTION AND CARE OF THE BODY
A very important responsibility of funeral directors is to take the body in their custody and provide every care and respect during handling. They have to collect the body from the place of death and transport it to the funeral home or the home of the deceased. Throughout the process, they ensure that respect and dignity are maintained, and they will also prepare for the viewing if the family desires it.
DOCUMENTATION AND LEGALITIES
An important part of funeral director services sydney is handling and completing necessary paperwork and legal requirements. They will engage in registering the death and obtaining necessary permits and certificates before the body is disposed of.
Tumblr media
ARRANGING FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral directors are also responsible for arranging funeral services while considering the family's preferences. They must select the coffin or casket of their choice, make floral arrangements according to their wishes, and add every other element specified by the family.
Funeral directors also have to coordinate with relevant parties, such as clergy or the officiant, cemetery or crematorium staff, musicians, the food catering team, and other service providers for transportation, floral arrangements, etc.

You Look Like You Love Me
Request: “can you make a joaquin torres imagine where sam basically raised you and was your father figure. after some time, you grow up and then joaquin comes into the picture. we meet and fall in love blah blah blah. please!!”
Pairing: Joaquin Torres x Reader
Warning: Mentions of blood & death
Tumblr media
Your father’s name was Riley. Riley Y/L/N. He was a pararescue for the Air Force and your Uncle Sam’s best friend.
They were both selected to be test pilots for the EXO-7 Falcon.
Tragically, your father was killed during the mission by an RPG.
Your Uncle Sam ended his Air Force service after this and was left with guilt and turmoil. Even though there was nothing he could've done it still haunted him.
You were 12 years old, left without both of your parents.
Your mom passed away a few days after she gave birth. You never met her, but you had many memories of your father and Uncle Sam.
Sam had known you his whole life.
He was there when your father told him he was going to be an uncle, he was at the hospital after your mother gave birth, when your father asked him to be your godfather…..and so on.
He was there for you both. Even years later.
So when Riley died he knew he couldn't let the government take you away. Not when he knew he could raise you.
He was going to keep his best friend's promise.
Sam knew he would never be able to raise you the way Riley and your mom would have. But he could try. And maybe he would need Sarah’s help…but he knew he could do it.
He had to. For his best friend.
“Sam, you have to promise me, brother, if something happens to me you'll take care of Y/n.”
Not a day goes by that Sam doesn’t think about what his best friend told him.
He remembers it clear as day.
The hand Riley placed on his shoulder and how he stared into his soul. It’s almost as if he knew something would happen to him.
Sam was taken aback. He was going to throw in a joke but his best friend's expression said it all.
He was serious.
It was Sam's turn to place his hand on Riley's shoulder. "Riley. I promise you I will protect and take care of Y/n. She's my goddaughter, my family, you can always count on me."
Riley nodded.
"Thank you Sam. My little girl and I are lucky to have you in our lives."
After that moment everything happened so fast. Riley's funeral, you receiving the burial flag, his will being read.
Riley Y/L/N was known for his infectious laughter and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He had a vibrant life filled with adventure, but his greatest joy was being a father to you, his spirited daughter.
The bond you shared was unique, filled with bedtime stories, impromptu dance parties, and countless adventures in the backyard.
As you approached your 12th birthday, your father began to ponder about the future. He wanted to ensure that should anything happen to him, you would be safe and cared for.
After much reflection, he decided to draft his will, a task that was daunting but necessary.
"In the event of my death, I designate my best friend, Samuel Thomas Wilson, as the legal guardian of my daughter, Y/n Y/l/n. I trust him to provide her with love, guidance, and the support she deserves."
Riley signed the document with a sense of peace, knowing that Sam would be a steadfast guardian. They had always been there for each other, navigating life's storms side by side.
Sam was a natural choice, someone who understood his values and shared his dreams and love for you.
Sam, standing at the front of the court, felt a ripple of emotions. He had always known how much Riley loved you, and now he was entrusted with your future.
Despite the overwhelming sadness, he felt a sense of purpose ignite within him. He stepped forward, his heart heavy but determined. He looked at the judge.
"I promise to honor Riley's wishes," He affirmed, his voice steady. "Y/n will always have a home with me. I will be there for her, just as Riley would have wanted."
With that promise, Sam embraced his new role as your guardian. He moved you into his and Sarah's home, surrounded by memories that felt both comforting and heart-wrenching.
The first few weeks were challenging; you were still grappling with your grief, and Sam was navigating the complexities of parenthood.
In the months that followed the house was filled with laughter and love. Sam made sure to keep your father's memory alive, sharing stories of their adventures and teaching you the values your father held dear.
You both shared stories of him, laughing and crying as you remembered the man who had brought you two together.
One evening, as you both sat together on the porch, you looked up at Sam, your eyes filled with uncertainty. “Do you think Dad is watching over us?” You asked.
Sam nodded, his heart aching for your loss. “I believe he is. And I think he wants us to be happy, and continue living our lives to the fullest. He loved you so much Y/n. I know I'm not your dad sweetheart but I promise you will always be safe and loved. I will always be here for you, okay?"
"I know Uncle Sam. You know, my dad loved you too. He always said you were the brother he never had. He said something about you and him being the less rich version of Dr. Dre and Eminem."
Sam snorted before throwing his head back with laughter.
"Yeah, that sounds like your father."
As the months turned into years, Sam encouraged you to pursue your interests, from academics to sports, always reminding you that you were capable of achieving your dreams.
Though your father was gone, the love he had instilled in your lives continued to thrive, a testament to friendship, family, and the enduring power of love.
════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════
Now several years later your bond was stronger than ever. After a lot of hesitation and lectures, Sam let you become an Avenger.
He knew your father would have wanted that for you. You both shared the passion to protect and help people.
You joined the Avengers when Tony brought Peter to the airport battle in Germany. (Not that you remember, because you didn't anymore)
Since then you've been helping the world and your Uncle/Godfather as Y/H/N. (Your hero name)
Earlier Sam received a call from President Ross. He was sending the both of you and Joaquin to Oaxaca, Mexico for a mission.
Luckily your uncle had been working with Joaquin for 3 years now so you were able to spend more time on the field kicking ass instead of being behind the computer.
Those days were long gone.
Sam did this because he still was hesitant about you joining on some missions. Despite the fact that Tony, Natasha and Steve continued to train you after Thanos had snapped half of the population away.
Your Uncle was one out of the many gone but you were left untouched. You had to live 5 years without the man that had became a second father to you.
To make a long story short you were a completely different person when Sam came back. You were all grown up.
You were a stronger, quicker, and more skilled fighter. But in the years that Sam was gone you also managed to set up a foundation named after your father.
The Riley Y/L/N Foundation, there was also a scholarship named after him and an award. Sam could not be more prouder. You had done great things in the time that he was gone.
He liked to believe him and Riley raised you well.
Now when it came to boys, Sam was definitely overprotective. He said,"No dating until you're 30." But that obviously wasn't going to happen.
Sure you had a few crushes here and there but they never became anything more.
Sam was certain he wouldn't have to worry about any guy coming into your life until he realized how big of a crush Joaquin had on you.
He did everything he could to delay the moment when you two would meet.
Today, it was out of his control.
Sam walked in first and you followed next to him.
As you step into the room, you feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Your attention is immediately drawn to Joaquin.
You feel a rush of anticipation. He’s cute, you think, noticing the way he fidgets slightly—a sign of his own nerves.
It makes you feel strangely comforted, as if you’re both navigating this moment together.
As Joaquin stands by, he feels a flutter of nerves in his stomach when he first sees you enter the room.
Wow, he thinks, she’s stunning.
You’re wearing a simple but beautiful dress under your white blazer that catches the light just right, and for a moment, everything else fades away.
His heart races as he notices the way your hair falls softly around your shoulders, framing your face.
"Joaquin?" Sam snapping his fingers instantly made the young man to look up at him.
Oh God it's bad, Sam thought.
"Sorry, you were saying?" He shook his head trying to refocus. There's no way he just made a fool of himself in front of you already.
The small giggle that escapes your lips is like music, and Joaquin can’t help but smile, feeling warmth spread through him.
"I want you to meet my niece and goddaughter Y/n L/n also known as-"
"Y/H/N." Joaquin finished.
"She's going to be joining us on the mission today."
You caught the way he froze like a deer in headlights but found it adorable.
What if she doesn’t like me? The thought flickers through Joaquin's mind, but it quickly fades as he recalls your smile.
This must be what they mean by love at first sight, he muses, a mix of excitement and disbelief washing over him.
He feels his cheeks heat up, wishing he could muster the confidence to say something without stumbling over his words.
Just be yourself, he reminds himself, taking a deep breath.
As you move closer, he prepares himself, ready to embrace whatever magic might come from this first meeting.
He takes a steadying breath, feeling both excitement and anxiety swirling in his stomach.
Finally, gathering his courage, he steps forward, his heart pounding like a drum. His step feels monumental, he knows he can’t let this chance slip away.
“Hey, I’m Joaquin, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a huge fan of your work both on and off the field."
He extends his arm waiting for you to shake his hand. You feel a warmth spread through you.
His voice might be a bit shaky, but there’s an earnestness in his words that captivates you.
"Especially with everything you have done to preserve your father's legacy. It's incredible.” He smiles, his voice slightly shaky but warm, hoping to convey his genuine interest.
He’s different, you think, appreciating how he seems genuinely interested in you.
When your hand finally meets his he swears he could have flatlined in that moment. Your hand is small but soft with a gentle yet firm grip.
Your eyes sparkle with curiosity. “Thank you Joaquin that's very sweet of you I really appreciate it. It's a pleasure to meet you as well, I've heard a lot about you.”
The moment your eyes lock, a spark ignites within him. He feels an electric connection, as if the world around you has faded into the background.
You feel a spark—a sense of possibility.
Could this be something special? The thought comes through your mind, making your heart race even faster.
You find yourself leaning in, drawn to his sincerity and charm. It's so easy to talk to him.
For the first time in a while, you feel giddy and hopeful about what might unfold between you both.
"All good things I hope." Joaquin chuckles nervously.
"And nothing but, I promise." You wink.
Dios mío, he thinks.
For a split second one of Joaquin's knees gives in but he quickly recovers by standing back up straight.
It went unnoticed to you as you glanced at your phone but not to Sam.
In that moment, Joaquin feels a rush of hope. Maybe this is the start of something special.
He realizes that this simple conversation is not just a moment; it’s the beginning of a connection he’s been yearning for.
"Okay sweetheart let me show you where you can put your gear. We're gonna be taking off soon." Sam wraps his arm around your shoulder leading you away.
You nodded excitedly looking at Joaquin before following your uncle, "I'll see you later Joaquin."
"Yeah, of course." He smiles.
Sam looks at him mouthing a no and shaking his finger before walking out with you.
Joaquin just chuckles quietly.
He can’t help but feel a sense of excitement about this unexpected connection. He enjoyed the small moment, already imagining the laughter and adventures you might share in the future.
Little did he know, you were doing the same.

Viktor and Elsa
A secret passion?
Viktor Vasko and Elsa Bastion (formerly Arbogast) clearly share a connection. This has been clear since the Defiance flashback
Tumblr media
This perhaps shouldn't be that much of a surprise. They are both veterans of the Great War, they have both experienced and still bear the inner scars that come with the tragedy and brutality of war and the suffering it brings.
Elsa in her capacity as a nurse, who no doubt saw all manner of mangled and broken men, and Viktor the muddy, bloody, living hell that was the front line of the trenches. It only makes sense that such people would be able to understand each other in ways others wouldn't.
Elsa has no doubt spent plenty of time treating wounded soldiers and seen the emotional anguish, and so would be able to see through that sour intimidating facade that keeps most people at arms length. While Viktor could find reassurance in the company of a kind and compasionate woman like Elsa
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But many fans have found themselves wondering if there could be more to it than that.
Viktor spent some time staying at the arbogast household, and it seems in that time Elsa got to know Viktor very well, learning more about his life than even Ivy, someone that can approach Viktor much easier than most as a stand in daughter to him, and even to the extent she knows Viktor would never have agreed to let her put herself in danger
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Viktor for his part may also feel more than just friendly towards her, if the face he makes when she is finally able to get through to him by phone to inform him about Ivy putting herself in danger is anything to go by.
Having been in a pit of deep despair over the memory of his far away daughter, plus the poor state of his health with compromised knees and a hole in his chest, hearing from her seems to make that normally scowling face soften
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But before we all jump on that bandwagon and "Viktor x Elsa" become our new Lackadaisy otp, we have to consider the jolly British elephant in the room.
Bobby Bastion
Tumblr media
Bobby is another war veteran and it was though their service that they met just after the war and later married.
He appears to be a very jolly and affable chap (relative to most bootleggers anyway), which may well be what drew Elsa to him in the first place. Someone who could counter her melancholy from the dark times they went through
Tumblr media
He seems to be very aware and considerate of his wife's relative melancholy, by Elsa's own admission leaving a very lucrative funeral trade in the big city to move too a small quiet community that offered little business but gave Elsa the peace and quiet she needed (like Viktor it seems she hates "noise, noise, noise" thanks to the war).
Their involvement in bootlegging in the first place it seems was to compensate for this and provide the income to sustain this relative isolation
Tumblr media
But despite this, perhaps their diffent mindset has become more of a barrier between them rather than something that compliments each other?
As the family illustration suggests, Bobby is relatively content and able to smell the flowers, while Elsa remains haunted. Bobby's humour also seems to have little effect on Elas's mood
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Could it be that Elsa would be drawn to someone like Viktor, someone who suffers from the same trauma as her and may be more willing to admit to the pain, than a husband who despite the best of intentions is trying to just smooth over the problem? Quite possible
But even with that strong connection and bond between them, even if there is a mutual spark, does that suggest an actual affair? That's the big question here.
While arguably not handling his wife's troubles in the best way, Bobby seems to be a loving husband doing his best for his wife who he cares for deeply. Is Elsa the type of person who would cheat on her kind husband for helping in the "wrong way"?
Plus Bobby not only shows no sign of concern about Viktor staying with them and being around his wife, but, (despite his brother in laws interuption) mentions that he was very grateful for Viktor's help and actually saw him as almost "part of the family"
Tumblr media
Is this a case of "ignorance is bliss"? Does he simply blindly trust his wife so much that the possibility doesn't even occur to him, or does he know her well enough to be certain that infidelity is something she simply would not do?
But this is all speculation at this point. What do you think?
Is poor Bobby blind to what happened under his own roof? Is it a matter of two people feeling an attraction but tragically unable to act on it due to circumstances? Or is it just an innocent matter of two wounded souls with shells and screams still ringing in their ears recognizing the scars on each other and offering some understanding?
Thanks to @ursiday whose Viktor and Elsa art got my over analysing brain juices flowing again ;)

Getting Involved With Your Community Funeral Care
Whether you’re looking to grow your funeral business or simply want to establish yourself as the go-to source for death-related resources, community outreach is key. Here are a few ideas to help you get started.
Many funeral homes sponsor local festivals, fairs and parades to increase their visibility in the community. Partnering with other businesses can also increase your credibility and reputation.
Luxury Concierge Services
Providing community funeral care to affluent clientele can be highly profitable for luxury businesses, but success depends on meticulous planning, comprehensive market analysis, and prudent financial management. Establishing a business plan and addressing it regularly as your service offerings evolve is a must.
Tumblr media
Cultivating robust relationships with reputable vendors and service providers is crucial to ensuring a consistent offering of exclusive experiences that caters to your discerning clientele. Be clear about your high standards and client expectations, and re-negotiate contracts regularly to keep expenses in check without compromising quality.
Choosing the optimal location for your funeral concierge service is also important. Locate your business in areas with high concentrations of affluent individuals and professionals who value premium services. Local businesses such as high-end shopping districts, clubs and golf courses may provide a good backdrop for your business.
Community Events
Hosting community events is a great way to build connections with your local town. Many funeral homes host senior movie days, preneed lunch-and-learn events and open houses to engage with the people in their communities. This helps them establish themselves as experts in their field, fostering trust and confidence among potential clients.
These events can also help your funeral home connect with people who need grief support. Hosting a grief support group meeting gives your community members an opportunity to discuss their experiences with one another and receive advice from professional counselors. This allows families to build a network of support that will be there for them during their time of need.
You can also host a community fundraising event or participate in a local charity walk to get your name out there. This helps to show that you care about the community you serve and inspires others to follow suit. This can lead to future business when the community needs your services again.
Partnering With Local Vendors
The funeral industry is unique in that it requires a sensitive and thoughtful approach to marketing efforts. Families often make decisions under stressful situations, and your marketing should help them feel comfortable and cared for.
Partnering with local vendors can help your firm stand out as a trusted community member. By sponsoring or participating in events like holiday celebrations, concerts and guest speakers, you’ll gain the recognition of local families who may seek your services.
Similarly, by incorporating family testimonials and reviews on your website, you’ll show prospective clients the positive experiences that others have had at your funeral home. When people see that others have been satisfied, it reassures them and makes them more likely to trust your team.
A regular newsletter can also keep your firm top of mind for families. This can include upcoming events, informative blog posts and memorial information for those who have passed away. You can distribute the newsletter via print or email, and you can even post the content on your website to drive traffic and leads.
Getting the Word Out
Getting involved in the community not only creates a positive image for your Sydney concierge services home, but it can also help you to build relationships and establish pre-need leads. Whether you’re fixing a fence for an elderly neighbor or providing food to local families, getting involved is always a great idea.
You can host events at your facility for the community that include music, guest speakers, and grief support workshops. Creating a network of professionals and groups you can partner with in the future will make your funeral home a natural choice for families in need.
People are curious by nature, so you can show them what goes on behind the scenes by offering tours of your facilities. This will allow people to see how beautiful your space is and learn about the different services you can provide them. You can also post and share engaging content online that educates consumers about funeral services, pre-planning, and end-of-life resources.

ok so here's the thing about andrew minyard's hashtag DIY rehab tactic. what actual rehab does, what it's supposed to do, is not just flush the drugs out of your system (because you can technically do that pretty effectively the way andrew did) but rehab centers are supposed to help you by letting you come off drugs slowly in a safe environment, and provide you with ways to prevent relapsing once you get out. it's supposed to help you to stop relying on substances day-to-day, so a lot of them will have counselling services and other methods of helping you adjust to being clean.
obviously this is not everybody's experience with rehab, but in my understanding this is the main aim.
so let's just make some ground assumptions here while i talk about this. 1) aaron was addicted from an early age, most likely with the effects of fetal alcohol syndrome combined, and it got worse as he got older and started relying on the drugs more heavily as his mother's abuse equally worsened. 2) he did not stop after tilda died. the week or so between her funeral and andrew locking him in the bathroom were probably some of the worst for him in terms of his addiction and what he was using. 3) he was taking, regularly, a mixture of different street drugs all with varying effects and was probably high more often than not.
what andrew did, exactly, was stock the bathroom with canned food and lock aaron inside against his will for an undetermined amount of time. given the assumptions i made above, i'm going to say he collected enough food for about a week, accounting for how long aaron's withdrawal symptoms probably would have lasted. the thing is, that method would have worked in the sense that any drugs aaron had taken before being locked inside would have worn off and withdrawal would've kicked in not long after, depending obviously on what he took and when.
this means that aaron essentially quit completely cold, and he spent withdrawal locked inside a small room with canned food and two people in the house who wouldn't let him out until he was clean. and when he was let out, yes, he was sober, but he also had a very high risk of relapsing for a while after, because he would've had nothing to replace using.
which leads me to cracker dust. now, andrew says in the books that they took it up for aaron's sake, which means that in a sense it's basically a gentler way of letting him relapse. it's probably nothing compared to what he was on before the bathroom, but it's a way to get a similar, if limited, kick on a semi-regular basis, that at least maybe helps to ease him off it a little. is this the best way to handle drug addiction? the short answer is no, not at all. but i wouldn't be surprised if neil asking andrew to quit cracker dust is another reason why aaron quietly doesn't like him, because it would definitely hit him harder than the rest of the monsters.
some food for thought :P

I haven't posted something COD related in a while- Sooooo *Throws this in your face* I know a lot of people see Graves as this macho American who's cocky as shit and yes, He is and Americans are some bitchy mf (Except Graves, I love his bbg ass) But can we see another side too? Like, I wanna see Graves cry. I wanna see more shit on him breaking down and sobbing because a lot of men have unresolved trauma and are forced to be "Macho" and "Manly" Nah, Give me Graves crying after a mission over all the men and women he's lost Give me Graves not being able to keep it together long enough to write the "I regret to inform you" Letts back home Give me Graves who provides free counseling to all his soldiers and personally goes to all of their funerals and comforts their spouses and tells stories to their kids This man know each soldier inside in out and loves him like his own kids. Yes, He's loud and his confidence can be seen as cocky but fuck so are a lot of Americans and he has MAJOR big brother energy. I wanna see Graves say no to someone having shotgun because "No Oliver, Everytime you get the AUX cord you play some country shit. Give it to Violet, I want to hear some Taylor Swift" Yeah he'd probably do shots with them and no one would feel the need to sneak out because Graves is more than happy to throw them a party. Anything to keep them happy, He knows what their type of work does to a person. Graves has one of the lowest out of service su*cide rates out of any other faction and you can FIGHT me on this. He'll personally go to someone's house or sit on call with them for hours if they express not feeling so well and he makes sure everyone has a place to live already paid for. Graves knows he has money and he uses it to help others and give his Shadows a good life.

Its actually so ironic that Romans claim that they are all "loyal soldiers" but camp Jupiter didn't even TRY to look for Jason??? That man was literally a praetor and is legit the SON of Jupiter. He is so important to their camp and held so much emotional importance. He was there since he was 4! None of his friends there apart from reyna seemed concerned about him either (heck I'd even argue that reyna's concern was watered down aswell, it could've been written better, rick making her develop a brief crush on Percy seemed very ooc for her, considering that she had been pining for jason for quite a long time and was seriously confident that they'd be together, So her pushing that out the window for a new boy she met 2 weeks ago and just accepted Jason disappearance without much thought was not very Reyna tbh but it's my opinion ig) they were all just like "oh such a shame ig jason was cool"
It proves how they treat soldiers like they're some scraps of machine. Only important if they are helpful to you. But if they're gone? No big deal. We can always replace him with someone better.
If you compare this with chb, they are SO loyal to Percy, even the hunters started looking for him, even when they had little to no success, they tried anyway.
Camp Jupiter gave up pretty quickly and just considered him dead. heck, even if they thought jason was dead, why didnt they hold a funeral for him? not even a thank you for all the service he provided? it's heartbreaking. Because a part of Jason KNEW in the lost hero that nobody was looking for him the way Thalia was looking for Percy. He didn't even need his memories back to know that the people of his hometown didn't consider him as important. Fucking tragic.
In a way, I'm kind of glad Jason sort of rejected his roman life bc they did not deserve him at all (Except Reyna/hazel/Frank ofc but you get my point) atleast he had self respect to not go crawling back to a place where no one ever hesitated to replace him.
Camp half blood had done more for Jason in 6 months than Camp Jupiter had done in 15 years. To them, jason was just an asset, to the Greeks, Jason was a friend.
