Reading the last update, I thought back to Donnie’s initial interaction with the agents and how he may have responded to this survey (if he was allowed to get to that point pre-agent killing, that is). 

Given his fairly impulsive actions during the initial “onboarding” process, I kept going back to two funny options under the idea of him wanting to grind some gears that seemed in-character for him (and parallel to Leo being a bit of a gadfly in his own responses).

Answer “neutral” for every statement. No elaboration.

2. Insist that the efficacy of this survey as an assessment tool in this context has several flaws of assumption that would compromise the data, and pointedly refuse to participate on the grounds that their methodology is bunk anyway.

Just thought I'd share. Is this anywhere close? Or did Donnie just never get to that point?

What is facility au?

So the Facility AU is on of my AUs focused on different Ricks and Minnies (my oc). The facility is basically a Minnie based attempt at providing specialized care and resources for Ricks, Minnies, and their associates and families.

They partially sort of pick up some of the former citadel tasks like caring for injured parties (provided their afflictions can't be cured by typical space hospitals). Providing services to reunited separated parties, or other portal/multiverse services (figuring out a party's dimensional code if they dont know it, cataloguing statuses of dimensions, etc.). And also caring for and re-homing any and all displaced or "Rick-less" Mortys left over from the collapse of the citadel. They get a LOT of people coming through the facility everyday.

The facility is run by Facility Minnie and her right hand arm man Zeta (Rick J15-Zeta-32). But a couple other people who work at the facility include Australian Minnie, Daycare Rick and Daycare Minnie, and Forensics Rick. Also Forgetful Minnie was cared for at a similar institution outside the CFC before it went down and she was transferred to the facility and reunited with her Rick and family.

oh certainly, though i don't have it listed in the mental health stuff here it's definitely something that crops up. the school counselors definitely didn't think they'd be dealing with so much shock and fear! the JAAT pretty quickly develops a solid response to relic victims, where they ban the media from school grounds and require all interviews with Enforcers to occur with other faculty present, to prevent victims of a corrupted relic, Unicron, or just general supernatural disasters from being hounded. they're given a break from work/assignments, may have an assistant teacher or emotional support beastformer assigned to be their companion for awhile, and are asked to see a counselor for at least a few times, with further responses varying depending on the condition of the victim in question

however, even the kindest and most pragmatic of responses won't necessarily fix the trauma. it depends on the person, really. some have amnesia and can't really remember what happened, or just remember patches. some became essentially a different person and feel totally divorced from their experience as a corrupted victim. some acted out of underlying issues they already had and need those issues addressed, like loneliness or pride or fear. the Academy really tries to provide whatever accommodations are necessary for them, but so far, not a single student or faculty member has left the school, and for good reason

not only is the Academy their best bet for safety from public scrutiny and backlash, the school counselors will also refrain from diagnosing their patients with PTSD if asked

see, under functionism, mental health sciences are viewed as maintenance to get everyone working well, but it's also a tool of control. punitive psychology declaring someone insane and unfit is the quickest way to justify stealing someone's autonomy, privacy, and general rights, and this is always aimed at people the state doesn't like. folks with a chronic trauma response are easy to other, and former corrupted victims, survivors of supernatural disasters that could have been prevented, or even people mentally scarred by a battle but still advocating for the heroes after they saved lives are prime targets for this

but. they would need to be diagnosed. and as long as they're in the Academy, with assigned therapists who have jurisdiction over non faculty like Froid, they're safe. they can heal and have the resources they need without a dangerous label that puts their rights at risk

this book is making me so emo like they traced back this woman's life story through history after finding her personal writings hidden in the woods inside glass bottles. like those were hidden there for decades like she spent almost her entire life locked in mental hospitals and decades of that tucked away from the world on that island. and then someone went through the effort to trace back her life and write her story ............

guys help i made an au on tuesday and i’ve written over 4k in terms of character info/lore + actual story. i haven’t plotted out the whole thing yet but i have enough info for a first chapter and then some so when (if) i finish it i will post it with the disclaimer that it might not get written for a while </3 but i do think you all might like it
