Things I learned while working at Walmart:

Don’t get trained to be a cashier. They won’t pay you any more.

Sometimes you will accidentally point a customer to the wrong side of the store because you’re tired. This is a good time to take your break.

Hanging up the phone on mean customers and hanging up again whenever you hear their voice is something you can surprisingly get away with

The employees are good people. It’s corporate who is wrong.

You will go insane from hearing the same messages over Walmart radio over and over again

There’s little to no shock pads anywhere at all. It’s all concrete. Invest in some good insoles for your shoes

Sometimes people will just leave ice cream in places where ice cream doesn’t belong. These people are evil.

hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O

unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!

my one regret is that I should have given Riddle a Togedemaru after all. ...you know what, he can have one now, why not

Thanks so much for your help in populating Pix’s office! This is one of the more involved shots from the animatic I’ve been working on and I wanted to pack it with as many details as possible. Any suggestions that didn’t make it into this shot will probably end up in the one set in the Museum!

I painted most of this in the airport on my way to meet up in person with the other mods of @mcytblrsexymen — spent a weekend touring museums and hanging out with @/theminecraftbee, @/magicalmanhattanproject, and like a dozen more tumblr friends and mutuals 😆 It was my first time in the USA! I got my purse stolen and lost all my IDs and money and my epipen! (My first mistake was being too gay in the Smashburger, it’s a long story. It’s okay though, I’m getting things replaced now that I’m back in Canada ✨🇨🇦)

But yeah, I had a ton of fun on the trip and on this painting! Peek under the cut for a full list of the all the Pixlriffs-related Easter eggs I crammed in :P

Welp a little later than usual but here I am! And uh apparently I added another Christmas fic to the pile because why not lmao but it's just a real short one and I'm aiming for it to be posted this week. 🫡

He was just about to decide what kind of disgustingly greasy takeout food to order, when the door clicked open behind his back.

He turned to see— Eddie. Because of course it was Eddie.

“Hey,” he said gently, shutting the door behind himself and Buck knew it was a little irrational right now, but it still warmed his heart that Eddie came and went like this; that he knew no matter what, he was always welcome here.

“Hi.” Buck gave him a weak smile over the brim of his beer bottle, unsure of what to expect.

“I just wanted to see if you were okay.”

“Why, did uh did I not seem okay?” Buck scoffed, just falling short of casual.

Eddie averted his gaze almost guiltily before pinning Buck with a knowing look. “No.”

“Yeah, I guess that’s fair.” Buck took a long swig of his beer with a grimace.

“You know it doesn’t change anything, right?”

“Uh no, Eddie, I really don’t know that.” Buck drawled and put the bottle down on the counter top with a loud clink.

“Bu—”

“Eddie, you’re leaving the 118. That- that literally changes everything!” He spread his arms widely, as if he could indicate just how much of that everything covered.

Another day, another “haha man get pregnant isn’t that hilarious?” trend popping up on my damn TikTok FYP.

The joke here—just in case anyone can’t tell—is that a man can’t get pregnant, so the punchline is the idea of a situation in which a man could get pregnant. Isn’t that hilarious, guys? The idea that someone who’s a man could get pregnant? So funny /s.

(Also, before anyone points out “can’t not” and tries to say that actually it’s affirming and agreeing that men can get pregnant, you can tell from the context that the intent is obviously not that, and it’s just the whole ‘funny when I mess up my words’ humor. If he’s saying that he can get pregnant, then the Impregnator Guy would agree with him.)
