To celebrate me reaching 100+ followers, I will be hosting a small event!

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for following & supporting me - regardless of my inactivity - and interacting with my posts ^^. Sometimes I just come off and on again and I’m still surprised when people engage with my blog. I think it’s typical of me to say that I never thought I would ever get to meet so many people that welcome me to this community. Or to have any moots at all. And I know I don’t interact much (which I want to do more, I’m just really bad at socializing >_>), but I’ve meet amazing people, from the art that they make, and to the person they are in general. To whoever’s reading this, thank you, regardless if you follow me or not, I appreciate everyone’s support :)

100 may not be a big number, but it’s still pretty amazing that 100 people (+more) enjoy my blog enough to follow me . I’m glad people like my art, and that I could share it to other people. No words and numbers can express the immense gratitude to have meet you all, and to be able to be in this community. Drop early chapters of EYED / Dreamlike: This is a Moon-centric x reader fic I've been working on for several months now and I originally planned to start posting it when I finished it or got really close to doing so. I dropped a sneak peek of it here! I find myself currently on a standstill on it's later chapters, which is why it hasn't been finished yet, but otherwise I am reallllly happy with it's messaging and pacing. (Rn I have plotted out 15 chapters but it's looking like it could be longer with how I write oops-)

The first chapters have been pretty polished at this point, so if people are really curious about this one, I don't mind to start posting the chapters up to a certain point. If this wins, I'll post the first 3 chapters for 3 sequential days, then 4 and 5 will come out in the next week, and then the last week I'll post ch. 6 for no particular reason mhmm yup I am not planning anything nefarious-

Drawing requests: This would be my first time doing something like this, and while I know I can pop out some bangers for y'all I also don't want to dig myself into a hole and leave y'all waiting for a long time. 😅So if this wins, I'll take the first 10 requests and draw them out! If I feel capable of doing more I may open some more slots for y'all, but I need to test my speed and my capabilities here first. I definitely do not mind drawing AUs, there are MANY I haven't drawn for, but I will be avoiding drawing other's specific AUs. I love making fanart, but this is going to thank y'all for being here, so I would like to keep from using someone else's AU -- it would feel like I'm stealing them e3e.

Plus, this is from me to thank you! And so will the goobers! I'll try to be as detailed as possible with both the characters and location <3

Young Justice fashion week 2025 may 5 - 11*

Whoop whoop! Another year another fashion week 🙌🙌🙌 Grab your art equipment and get ready to dress up our favorite chaos team 🎉💅✨

Themes by days:

Monday - It's…a…musical! (Outfits from any musical production) / Multiverse (any world mentioned in Barry's list from Dark Crisis Big Bang)

Tuesday - outfit from a clothing shop's window in your city / Band AU (can be music band or marching band or a secret third band)

Wednesday - Wearing the rogue's outfits / Season friendly suit redesign (think summer/winter. Canon and made up are both cool)

Thursday - Runway (we gotta have one every year babes) / The gang goes on vacation (incognito? Hawaiian shirts? Vacation = hiking or underwater diving? It's free real estate!!!)

Friday - VillainAU / Horror themed (movies, video games, creepy pastas, go nuts!)

Saturday - They should be at the club / Suit up! But wrong answers only! (Basically anything that isn't their own hero suit)

Sunday - Animals (either animal inspired clothing or animal hybrids with accommodating clothing) / free day

Rules are mostly the same as last year with the biggest change being the addition of this blog, as well as now you can also use the tag #YJFW2025 in your works or tag the youngjusticefashionweek blog! The rest of the rules can be read under the cut~

Rules:

You must create a drawing or a sketch depicting at least one member of Young Justice dressed according to the chosen day's theme. The drawing doesn't have to be fully rendered or even coloured and can be done either traditionally or digitally (or via a secret third thing).

Each day has two themes you can choose from. There is no limit to how many drawings you can do and you can pick both themes if you want to.

The drawing or sketch may contain other characters that aren't part of YJ (or even DC), if you so choose, as long as at least one YJ member is present (and dressed for the theme. It is YJ fashion week after all).

The event is intended to be a short but intense burst of creativity, and the participant should only spend a day per prompt, but that's more for fun and isn't mandatory. Feel free to go at your own pace 👍

Using reference is, of course, allowed and highly encouraged!

If you wanna do all of the themes, the fashion week gets extended to two-three fashion business weeks. (5th may to 25th may)

Participants are encouraged to share their art when it's done. I rly wanna see what you come up with ♥️

✨ Art Summary 2024 ✨

Welp, you can definitely see where the shift happened this year 😂🫣 **** So yep, I discovered Ace Attorney back in May and it took me awhile to dare to draw for it. And I even surprised myself even more when toward the end of the first trilogy, I started to ship those 2 dorks lawyers (I luv them, I say it affectionately of course 💕😌).

Anyway, the game helped me A LOT this year with my mood since many events happened irl (professionally and personally). So the comics I've started for Narumitsu since July really helped me a lot to de-stress (you can find the many WIPs on my blog).

I think I'm comfortable with the style of rendering I have now and that I realized this year that I really prefer to draw comics than full arts (funnily, I have no patience for full arts but for comics I do hmmmm 🫠). **** As for Kotaloy, I'll be honest: I won't come back to it any time soon 🫂 I still love them dearly, but let's say it has went dormant because of personal reasons. Maybe when Horizon 3 will be announced my urge to draw them will come back, who knows.

**** I want to thanks everyone who loved / shared and left comments / tags on my arts here on tumblr this year! Magik is plagued by a nightmare of the Darkchild urging her to submit to the demonic corruption within her soul.

Illyana’s fondness for cake, and her troubles obtaining it as a member of the X-Men, continue.

Bigots and Funerals and Demons, Oh My! 😱

Magik slaughters The Crow Demon’s demonic minions during a funeral for a young girl named Moni being picketed by anti-mutant protestors. I always love when Illyana cuts loose on the supernatural with her Soulsword, and writer Ashley Allen allows Magik to obliterate demons in this much like she did with vampires in the Blood Hunt one-shot she wrote back in 2024.

The Crow Demon 🐦‍⬛

This guy is a total asshole. Designed by artist Peach Momoko, The Crow Demon wants to shatter five seals imprisoning his master Liminal beneath Alaska, allowing the entity to unleash an apocalypse. Writer Ashley Allen drew inspiration for Magik’s solo series from some of her favorite manga series, which include Soul Eater, Full Metal Alchemist, and Demon Slayer. It should be fun reading Illyana’s intercontinental quest to thwart Liminal’s demonic minions.

Magik Uses Actual MAGIC! ✨

Magik cauterizes a wound to her arm, casts a spell to render the Crow Demon mute, and erects a mystic barrier to contain the spread of Liminal’s influence from the first broken seal. One of the biggest problems fans have had with Illyana’s characterization in recent years is when she’s depicted as nothing more than a sword-wielding mode of transport, when in fact she’s one of the most powerful sorceresses in the Marvel universe. The writer clearly heard the fans, and depicts her using *GASP!* witchcraft. Magik also once again emerges the reigning champion of the censored profanity speech bubble in the X-Men universe. Prove me wrong.

Illyana ♥️ Children

Poor Cal Isaacs. Belonging to a family of mystics dedicated to preventing Liminal’s escape for generations, the boy’s grandmother was training him to become the next keeper of the journal containing magic necessary to stop the entity before the Crow Demon kills her. Now, Cal finds himself alone, and demands that Illyana allow him to accompany her. Magik, feeling responsible for the boy’s predicament, agrees. I’ve always enjoyed a storyline trope where a strong female protagonist embarks on a dangerous mission with a child she’s entrusted to care for. One of Magik’s biggest weaknesses is children. Allen is fully aware of Rasputina’s love of them, and incorporates that here. But be careful, Cal. As much as Magik adores children, they have a horrible tendency of vanishing from her life as though they never existed.

Darkchild Unleashed?

The Isaac Family journal foretells the coming of Darkchild, a tidbit of information that Cal keeps from Magik. I’ve always wondered if there was a cult in the Marvel universe that worshipped Darkchild, or an organization founded to prevent her from destroying creation. Allen seems to be addressing that with the Isaacs. Who they truly are and what they know has yet to be revealed, but I’ve always enjoyed a good mystery.

Final Verdict: ⭐️⭐️ Out Of Five Stars

I like that the series is focusing on the darker side of Illyana’s lore with a supernatural horror vibe. One of the things I enjoy most about the character is her struggle to remain a hero despite the evil inside of her, and I feel like that subplot has been sanitized for the general reader’s protection, as of late. I’m eager to see more of Magik combatting this villainous manifestation. I love German Perálta’s artwork in this, and kudos to Allen for using the original spelling of Darkchild first introduced in The New Mutants #13 back in 1984. I see what you did there. 👍 Magik could turn out to be great, or it could be mediocre. It’s too soon to tell, but I like what I’ve seen so far. It takes time for any good series to find its groove. Is it phenomenal? No. Is it horrible? Also no. Good luck to the title’s entire creative team on making their labor of love a resounding success. Illyana is in capable hands, and I look forward to her future adventures.

I'm not fully ready to set up commissions yet but I wanted to see if people are interested. Long story short, I'm a brown trans and multiply disabled person with ME/CFS, chronic pain and autism living in the UK, so I'm currently dependent on my family + pretty much homebound most of the time. This also means I'm unable to study or work, and I kinda need money to start becoming more independent + eventually leave a stressful home situation.

So if you 🫵 have ever wanted to see your little guy in my style, you're in luck.

Here's a few examples of my work in the styles I'd be offering:

rendered full colour portraits (~£70-£80)

For the moment I'd only be offering symmetry tool portrait commissions, sketch and rendered as shown above, though I'll see if I can figure out an intermediate tier. I'm most comfortable drawing these + can reliably offer them accounting after accounting for fatigue/pain flareups. I would need sufficient visual references, at minimum a variety of picrews and a detailed description, but I'd highly prefer screenshots/faceclaims/other art etc. Complex designs will incur additional cost for more work.

I was planning to post Floyd’s pic a longggg time ago. It wasn’t even finished until I came up with the idea for the milestone event. Leona and Rook’s pic is also a bit different, since I used a different brush for sketching (I planned to not do the line-art and go straight to rendering, so).

Rook’s photo is my least favorite, to be honest😭 I feel like I did him a bit dirty hjsjdhsk same for Ruggie, since I can’t draw a back view💔BUT MY FAVORITE IS….drum-roll please…CATER!! Surprising, I know, but I think it looks so good and I did a great job on it!!!

It was a bit difficult for me to select which character for each scene, so if your faves aren’t here I apologize(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)
